The Amazing Fate Pet Shop had been taken care of by Zhang Zian’s parents without any extra help. Zhang Zian understood that taking care of the pets daily was a very troublesome task. Every morning at 5 o'clock, his parents would get up and clean the shop, including the cages and the feces in the display cases. They would comb the pets’ hair, feed them, and conduct a quick health check. This allowed the pets to meet the guests at their best state when the door opened.

Now, Zhang Zian was the only worker. If he brought in too many pets at the beginning, it would only make a mess. Therefore, he decided to take the "quality over quantity" approach.

His advantage was also obvious. He owned the house and didn’t have any other employees. He simply didn’t have to worry about paying rent or wages every month. In the worst case scenario, if the pets were not sold, it wouldn’t be a big deal for him to temporarily raise them.
 
After checking the map, he locked the store. He put an A4 paper on the door that read: "This store will reopen soon." He took a few more looks at the store and then, feeling satisfied, headed to the bus stop.

There were two breeding bases in town. One was located on the south side of the city, while the other was on the north side. Both were about the same distance from where he was, but he decided to go to the one on the north side simply because he wouldn’t have to cross the road from the bus stop.

After about ten stops, he arrived at the suburb and got off the bus. It didn’t take him long to find the "Love Lovely Pet" sign.

"This is quite a huge breeding base."

The long, tall walls separated a large area for the breeding base.  

The sign for the Love Lovely Pet breeding base was an expression pack from a famous husky. It was really funny. 

As he stepped inside, a man dressed in a nice suit, looking like a real estate agent, came up and gave a warm welcome. 

"Hi, sir. How are you? Looking for pets?" the man said with a smile. 

"Yes," Zhang Zian replied. 

"Are you looking for a home pet?"

"I have a pet store and want to see what is available," he explained.

The man showed an even bigger smile after learning that Zhang Zian might be a big customer. "Great! Please come this way!"

Zhang Zian was taken to a meeting room that was divided into a couple of smaller areas. He knew the salesman would get a commission based on the sales; the more he sold, the more he would make on commission.

After they settled down, the salesman pulled out a pack of cigarettes named "Yuxi" and offered Zhang Zian one, but he refused.

"That’s great! Smoking is harmful to the health anyway. I don’t smoke either, but I always carry a pack of cigarettes for my customers." The salesman put the cigarette back and asked, "How should I address you, sir?"

Zhang Zian answered, "My last name is Zhang."

"Oh, really?! What a coincidence! We have the same last name! We must have had the same ancestor years ago."

The salesman was very excited and handed his business card to Zhang Zian with both hands.

The business card showed: Love Lovely Pet Breeding Base Sales Representative Zhang Wanguo.

Zhang Zian should’ve given his business card to the salesman in return, but he didn’t have one, so it was better to play the fool.

He thought to himself, "‘Zhang’ is such a common last name. What’s the big deal seeing someone named ‘Zhang’? If we were both named Murong, that might be worth all the excitement."

Zhang Wanguo realized he hadn’t received a business card from Zhang Zian. He smiled and asked, "May I know which pet store you own?"

Zhang Zian said vaguely, "Well, it is a new store. You may not have heard of it."

"Haha, well, you made a great choice, Mr. Zhang! You know, we are the supplier for most pet stores in the city, including the chain supermarket named ‘Stars Pet’."

Zhang Wanguo was a very experienced salesman and had seen tons of customers. It didn’t take him long to figure out that this customer was a newbie. If he gave an impression that everyone bought pets from here, he was sure he could get this deal done quickly.  

There were quite a lot of customers like that. They excitedly wanted to open up a pet store, thinking that pet stores were an easy way to make money. As a matter of fact, eight out of ten new pet stores closed within a year, but that had nothing to do with him.

Zhang Zian had heard about the Stars Pet chain supermarket. It was a famous pet store that everyone in the pet business knew. It was a giant national chain, owning 153 direct-sale stores and 164 franchise stores nationwide. It covered almost all the small, medium, and large cities and often put out commercials on CCTV.

A deeper meaning of Zhang Wanguo’s words was: Even large enterprises bought pets here, so there should be no problem for others to do so too.  

Zhang Zian had his own thoughts. Although he was a newbie in this business, his parents had run their pet store for over ten years. 

"Can you show me around?" Zhang Zian asked. 

The smile froze on Zhang Wanguo’s face. He frowned slightly and said to himself, "This newbie is not following the routine."

Zhang Wanguo quickly responded, "The breeding base is so dirty and smelly. It is not a good place to visit. After you walk around the base, you can’t even wear the same pair of shoes any more. Why don’t you tell me what you want, and I will have someone bring the pets out for you? You may review our quotes first; our price is very competitive. If you can find somewhere cheaper than us, I will pay you twice the difference!"

These words were said so sincerely that someone else might have fallen for them already!

Zhang Wanguo handed over a catalog with pictures and descriptions. The prices and pictures were all very clear in the catalog. 

Zhang Zian took the catalog and glanced over it for a while. Then he got up, wanting to leave.

"My apologies, sir. I have an appointment later today. I will stop by another day."

"Oh, Mr. Zhang. Oh, sir, don’t leave yet. Please stay. If you are not satisfied with the price, it is negotiable."

"I am so sorry, but I do have another commitment. I will come back another day."

Zhang Zian left the store, disregarding Zhang Wanguo’s persuasion.  

Zhang Wanguo watched him get farther and farther away. He angrily spat on the ground.

"Geese! Who do you think you are! You are only a piece of crap! A total waste of my time."

After venting for a short while, he saw a new target and immediately put a huge smile on his face. 

"Hi, Sir, are you here to look for a pet?"

Zhang Zian walked to the bus stop and got on the bus toward the south side of the city.  

He remembered that his parents had discussed this before, that if a breeding base did not want to show you around, there had to be some sort of scheme. You should not get pets from there no matter how low the price was. His parents must have been right. 

He took a nap on the bus. After about an hour, the bus reached its final stop. 

Zhang Zian got off the bus, yawning. He found the "Pet’s Home" breeding base through the map on his cellphone. 

From the outside, it was a lot smaller than "Love Lovely Pet." There were a lot less trucks coming in and out. 

The sign of "Pet’s Home" was an abstract outline of a cat. 

Upon entering the door, he didn’t see any salespeople like Zhang Wanguo, so he had to stop a lady who was trying to go out. 

"Excuse me, who should I talk to if I wanted to buy some pets?"

The lady was wearing a white lab coat, a mask on her face, and gloves on her hands. She was carrying a medicine kit; it seemed like she was a vet.  

She looked him up and down. "You want to buy pets?"

Alright then, show me what you've go-" The Dragon Elder's words were suddenly interrupted by a woman who approached her with ferocious pupils. She bit her lips tightly and her blood boiled to the point its own body cannot handle the heat.
My friends were also in shock to see the woman. One, this is their first time to meet her and two she does seem suspicious at first glance. She is no other than the dragon master, a woman with cunning white silvery hair, Khaidra.
"Grandmother?! You're challenging trainers again? I thought we talked about this?" She sighs.
"Oh, dear. What are you doing here in such a fine day like this? Shouldn't you be in your gym?"
"Ah! Khaidra, long time no see!" I beam with exuberance, rushing towards her in a very unruly manner because of my excitement.
"Khaidra? I've head Kalem mention that name before." Camellia says, trying to recall her memory as hard as possible.
"Khaidra is the gym leader of Dracovolt city. She is also known to be the strongest of the eight. Her skills are as those of Cynthia. You've heard her right? The famous champion of the Sinnoh Region. Khaidra and Cynthia have been friends for a long time already, and I've heard they trained together thus their strengths are equal.
Basically, Kalem and I will be challenging Cynthia except for the fact she has different looks." Kira explains.
"Is Cynthia and Khaidra somehow related?" Glade queries.
"No. Um, they're just friends according to the bulbapedia. Seeing her now makes me scared. Not to mention I will be challenging her soon. As for Kalem, he probably has no idea on how powerful this gym leader is." Kira answers, watching me and Khaidra talk.
"Khaidra! I have obtained all seven badges. Now it is time for me to defeat you." I beam with determination.
"Oh ho! Kalem, you're looking as confident as ever. I will be willing to- Oh my?! Did Riolu evolve?!" Khaidra's attention is grabbed by Lucario who was resting in a nearby tree with Liligant.
"Yes, and look at this! Dragonite, come out now!" 
<Drag! Dragonite!>Upon leaving its Pokeball, Dragonite rushed to the woman who've trained her and hugged her tightly. The two dearly missed each other. It seems to me Khaidra misses Dragonite as well, especially for the fact that she is the very same woman who've evolved Dratini into Dragonair for me.
"Ah! Dragonite has grown, I can see it from its eyes. Very lovely indeed. Very lovely. Your bond with your trainer is profound and just like the roots of the tree tucked into the fertile soil of Earth, I hope your bond with Kalem grows deeper." Khaidra says, massaging Dragonite's chin as she emits cooing noises.
"Oh my, I never knew you've met my granddaughter before. Pardon me." The Elder apologizes.
"Wait? You're her grandmother?!" With a perplexed mind I question her.
"Indeed I am. I was bored so I randomly made trials and stuff. Haha! Anyways, it was fun battling you Kalem but I believe we must end this. You've proven to me how strong you are and that you pursue in bond rather than power. Through bond is where we can harness the true power of Pokemon. That is, if the train himself knows how to.
Our world is diverse with creatures, much superior to us. This has been proven many times already. Men will never meet the standards of the Pokemon around us but we can gain their trust for the common good." She quotes and starts to play a music from the Pokeflute.
The music was heart-warming indeed. It is those kinds of music which can make one's soul filled with ecstasy and joy. It has the power to heal scars forged by arguments and debates. I for one, alongside with my friends dearly loves the music. As for the Snorlax, it finally left. The music annoys it, therefore he stood up and cleared the path.
"We can head to the Valley of Dragons now!" I beam with excitement, waving at my friends who were sitting down in the bush. In response they waved back at me.
"Valley of Dragons?! Well well, I was heading there too." Khaidra announces.
"Wait? Really? Why don't you tag along for now. Like they say, the more the merrier!" I offer.
"Oh Kalem, you're such a rambunctious child. Fine, I will be coming with the four of you for now." 
"And I will return to Meteor Town. It has been a long day, and my legs are worn out already." The elder says as she stretches her arms to the sky, yawning deeply afterward.
"Alright then! Vamos!" With maximum enthusiasm, I leap to the sky, pointing my arm towards it and clenching the golden gleaming disk of the sun. A whole new adventure awaits us in the Valley of Dragons!

Rolden Xanders and Kierra Alvon met on a mobile game. At first, Kierra wants to be close/be friends with Rolden because he is so powerful on that game in order to protect or to keep her territory safe and to survive on that game. This game is a zombie combat war game, alliance's, and defending your school or territory. Of course a friend can't let his/her friend be in danger, that's why in order to be safe, she needs a friend or ally that can protect her school when she's not online due to school. She loves studying and her family and she is a helpful, friendly, and kind person but she doesn't know love. Unexpectedly, Kierra is always chatting Rolden, that's what friends for, she fall but she's afraid because her mother won't let her and Rolden fall for Kierra also. Kierra chatted her true intentions of why she made friends with him, Rolden knew that. He chatted that he was used to it, because that's what others do but Kierra clear herself that she wasn't anymore, because Rolden is valuable now for her. She always worried when Rolden is sick, because he is alone for his parents died when he's a kid. They always chat, they chatted a lot of secrets to each other before they really fall. Kierra added Rolden as her friend on facebook, Rolden accepted it. They both don't want video chat but they have the picture of each other. They were being separated due to studying and work. Rolden is 25, he is working as a business manager in a drug store while Kierra is only 18, a senior high student. What a big age gap!!. Kierra is now 26 while Rolden is 33. Kierra is now a nurse then Rolden came to her country to visit a friend there and to have a vacation.

The next day arrived faster than usual. Out in the capital, at daybreak – when citizens rushed over to the business and commercial district for work; newspapers sold quickly. It might not have looked apparent at first, the influence of Adventurers and guild had grown over the years. As famed and popular as mages were at one point, that spot was slowly taken by the born fighters with the inhuman potential. For many, that line of work was a dream, one that many wanted to partake despite the dangers.
 "First platinum quest to be completed," boys ran around the streets trying to sell issues." Located near the town square, the heart of the capital from where every district could be reached from – small cabinets with papers had opened. The words platinum quest had piqued the interest of many potential buyers. 
 'The fantasy of being the first to accomplish a tier-one quest has been claimed. Not by a top-guild, but one of the lower and lesser-known guilds: Kniq. Details about the exact quest have been kept confidential. An interview with the guild master has given a vague idea of what transpired. The closed border leading to the south has been subjected to an onslaught of monster's activity. The aforementioned guild's involvement in stopping the siege was imperative. For three months, the guild fought day and night to keep our border safe. From tier-10 to tier-3 monsters, they fought tirelessly to save us all.' A summary of what the news had written was read out loud by Undrar. 
 "They also go on to quote us from our interview," Deadeyes pointed out. Sat around a lovely breakfast with newspapers on the table, they read and smiled for it was a great honor to be the headline of today's news. 
 "The fight was long and hard. Though in the end, with the power of teamwork – we survived the assault," – Avon [Sapphire].
 "At times I thought death had had me in its eyesight. Nevertheless, a pull of the trigger later, all my fears fired alongside the bullet," – Deadeyes [Steel].
 "To save others and protect what is precious, tis the job of a hero," – Achilles [Silver].
 "As powerful as we might have been, if it wasn't for a well-established plan of action, we'd had died without a time to refute," – Viola [Silver].
 "Many comrades were lost, but their memories live on in our memories." – Emma[Sapphire].
 "To endure and power through, that was the teaching given by our guild leader," – Emmy[Sapphire].
After the quotes, the article went into further details about the fights. This information was directed mostly towards aspiring adventurers. Having a firm idea of how things were done could be the deciding factor between life and death. At the end, written in a smaller font, no quotes from Kniq's guild leader. Thus, being the first party to accomplish such a feat, their name would be forever etched into history. The reaction from said news had taken the capital by stride. Many were amazed by the details of the fight. The standards to which the protectors had to follow was raised. Many of the top-guilds were gutted by said news, though it remained behind closed doors.
 "They might quote us, but none really know our faces do they," Achilles commented then sipped tea.
 "You're right, it's probably for the better," Undrar agreed. 
A few meters away, stood on the first floor in the hallway, Staxius waited with a bag filled with books. 'I wish I had more time to spend with Xula yesterday,' he sighed, '-I did manage to get the scholar to make me a sword similar to Orenmir, Blood Blade of the Queen. It might take a few days; we'll have to wait and see.' After returning to Pandora last night – the Lymsey sister took refuge and slept in the lab. As silent as a cat, he teleported to Arda where a stern-looking Xula waited. The supposed one-week trip turned into months. A little angry, he got given the silent treatment. Nevertheless, after flattery and compliments, breaking through that adorable, angry side of Xula – they made up with a shared passionate night. Before the sun awoke, Staxius returned for there were things to be settled. 
 "I'm sorry for being such a bad husband, you deserve better," cuddled under a blanket, he whispered with regret in the tone. A vivid piece of memory that carried over to the next day.
 "It's fine," she caressed his hair and face, "-you're working hard for both my and the kingdom's sake. How it hurts to be away from he who stole my heart," a kiss later, "-I don't mind it one bit. Do what must be done, thou shalt always have a home to return. Tis my job as a wife to welcome thee with open arms," a smile followed by the scent of flowers, Xula's generosity knew no bounds. 
 "Living a normal life isn't in our fate," he sighed, "-you're a queen and the heir to the god of death. Excepting normality is a dream, however, I vow to always stand by thy side," their fingers interlocked, face to face, he smiled and she blushed, "-I adore you so much, queen of my heart and soul, I adore you…"
 "Wake up…" the daydream broke by Lizzie's voice. 
 "Oh, sorry about that," the prior night's memories returned to the back of the mind. The love that built between the king and queen transcended what people deemed as normal. Both felt exactly the same way, despite not having time to spend with one another. Each moment allowed was precious – what they had was unconditional love. To love without condition, each wanted the other's happiness and expected nothing in return. Selfless and noble – the bond wasn't tied to the mortal realm either, it reached their soul as well. Not to forget, Staxius was the conduit for Xula, channeling her power and returning her status as Angel wasn't a mere act of kindness. He had done something worth much more than words and actions. In Xula's case, she gave Staxius a new purpose, a new will, and a new mindset. A change that made him into a better person, a change he'd never forget for it was the best thing to ever happen. In that sense, both were saviors to one another, the love story of an angel and the heir to a god.
 "It's fine," Lizzie spoke with a smile, her uniform, one of white and golden color – the one that was previously torn now replaced.
 "Shall we leave?" he offered.
 "After we say good-bye to the others," she smiled, thus their arrival at the hotel's eatery. 
 "Morning everyone," Lizzie spoke with a big smile.
 "Morning Lizzie, morning master," the others returned said greeting.
 "I see the newspaper has our name on it," Staxius pointed to which Avon lent his copy. The chatter continued as if old friends. A few minutes later, Auic descended from her room with a lunchbox. 
 "Sorry I'm late," she said whilst panting, her face covered in sweat.
 "It's fine," Lizzie reassured the fox-lady then took the box.
 "Master…" confused, Auic needed answers.
 "I forgot to say," he cleared his throat and gained the table's attention. "-Starting today, I've decided to embrace my duty as Lizzie's guardian. Change is sure to come; I hope everyone is ready – that platinum quest we accomplished has opened new avenues," the voice soothing and filled with determination.
 "What about the twins then?" Undrar asked, "-from what I found out, they don't have a place to call home any longer," her concern was well-founded. 
 "Good point," he returned her question with a smile, "-Kniq is a big family. Atop being a guild, we're one big unit – the twins might not have a home yet," a quick pause later, "-that is to say that, the change will come. Best be ready, my friends, my comrades, you best be ready – we shall soon enter a new age," Staxius spoke with a leader's vigor.
 "We'll trust you," Achilles replied with a smile, they nodded in agreement. 
 "It's getting rather late, I'll see you all later. If anything comes up, do reach out – I shall be at Pandora, I think," wearing the same clothes as yesterday, the duo entered Void and headed off to school.
 "Something has changed," Deadeyes commented.
 "I think so, yeah," Undrar agreed.
 "Let's not forget that Staxius is still twenty or so," Avon added.
 "Age is just a number," Auic interjected, "-in my opinion, I think master is standing up to his many responsibilities. As he said, change is underway, we all can but wait and see," breakfast continued. 
 "Are you going to come and fetch me later?" Auic asked, her face could barely keep with her smile, one big and large.
 "Yes," he replied kindly, "-I'll try to be as regular as I can. Though, if something comes up, I'll make sure to send a message," he took out the phone, "-Is that alright?" 
 "Sound good," she took out hers and exchanged details. 
 "If I don't respond, contact Auic,"
 "Don't worry," Lizzie pouted, "-it's not like this is the first time I'm doing this."
 "I guess not," he chuckled then patted her head.
 "What are you doing up so early," Adete awoke from her slumber.
 "See for yourself," the car drove forth. An hour later, they arrived, the roads were jammed for the most part. A normal part of life here. 
 "Here we are," he voiced, the car came to a slow stop before the gate. 
 "Check that car out," the students pointed at Void, "-it must be so expensive," they commented. "Whoever that student is, must come from a rich family – I'd not be surprised if they were royalty," the chatter came from a group of students that waited for their comrades to arrive. Judging by their tie, they were in the same grade as Lizzie.
 "I'll see you later," Staxius said to which the door opened.
 "Later," she replied with a joyful smile, "-don't forget to call if anything happens," her head tilted to the right slightly, then pulled out a peace-sign, after which, she walked away.
 'I wonder who she learned that from,' the car sped forth. As opposed to reluctantly enter her classroom, Lizzie arrived with glee on her face. Being cared for by Staxius had done more than he'd thought. 
 'Now it's time to go buy the place where Kniq can finally live in peace. I wonder who should I call, Raulf or Cake,' parked underneath an array of trees lined on the sidewalk, Staxius leaned on the hood and had a cigar. Leaves from the branches fell slowly to the ground, it seemed as if snow, peaceful and idyllic. 
 *Beep,* the phone rang suddenly.
 "Hello?" he asked with no idea to who had called.
 "Good morning Staxius," a feminine voice spoke, "-it's me, Melisa," she voiced.
 "Is something the matter?" 
 "Yes, could you come by the guild as soon as possible, the guild master has requested thy presence." 
 "On my way," the phone hung. 'Must be the reward for all those monsters I have slain.' Rather than driving back, he teleported just shy of the guild, none noticed for it was done in an alley barely large enough to fit Void. 
 'What's this all about,' the car pulled up against the entrance, he stepped out. A crowd of adventurers waited and spoke as if something major had happened. "Pardon me," he called and made his way through the crowd. 
 'What the hell,' stood near the counter, Raulf crossed his arms and had a giant sword embedded into the floor. "None shall come forth till the Guild leader of Kniq has made himself present," he voiced strongly.
 "Have you called?" the voice monotonous and face unimpressed, he walked and stood before Raulf.
 "There you are," from serious, the face changed into one friendly, "-where have you been," they embraced. "We've got many things to discuss," the giant sword lifted as if feather. The man stepped away strongly. Baffled, Staxius stared Diane and Melisa in search of answers. The former shrugged whilst the latter mumbled, 'I don't know.' Obliged to follow, he continued. Behind, the gathering crowd rushed the counter since quests were displayed a few seconds earlier. 'This could not have come at a better time,' Staxius thought. The door opened – Raulf sat with a gentle smile. 


Thrust into an enigmatic world born from bloodshed; venture inside its complexities, dark-side, and always changing nature. At the center, a boy; brought up by an exiled mage, steps into a life of independence. A test to try and change his life for the better after witnessing what war can do to a person. The walk towards finding a stable living gets toppled as a unique magical element awakens. Using people, toying with emotions, doing anything and everything to get what he wants, this is the life of the next Death Reaper. Mostly emotionless, life continues as questions about his state of mind and being remains clouded behind many personas.

This isn’t the story of a single man, it’s the story of a whole world. Read as the world builds itself from the ground up. Conspiracies, evil, the dark side of humanity. In addition, tis the start of a new age; the birth of monsters – a story depicting the tales of the first heroes and demons to ever exist. 

The Wielder of Death Magic isn’t a typical fantasy. The heroes don’t summon forth power from heroes of old, here, the characters are the ones who make up the myths and legends for the next generation. Amidst the turmoil, Staxius, he lives on, watching and waiting as the world grows. 

P.S, I’m not that normal of a writer, my advice is to not expect anything going into this world. Forget everything, I personally, don’t care about rules and limitations and what can be considered to be the norm – the characters are given life, the world moves on its own; I’m just a spectator. No plot, nothing planned, all that you read is the product of the characters moving and acting individually. As opposed to me subjecting them with my emotions, the connection is reversed. They are the ones who dictate the story (Believe it or not, that's the way I write) A world, a story, characters, and the foolish author; we all evolve as one. "Come along, dear - that's right - lovely," said Rita Skeeter again, perching herself precariously upon an upturned bucket, pushing Arth down onto a cardboard box, and closing the door, throwing them into darkness. "Let's see now. ." 

She unsnapped her crocodile-skin handbag and pulled out a handful of candles, which she lit with a wave of her wand and magicked into midair, so that they could see what they were doing.

"You won't mind, Arthur, if I use a Quick-Quotes Quill? It leaves me free to talk to you normally. .."

"Please don't-"

"Fantastic."

Rita Skeeter's smile widened. Arth counted three
 gold teeth. She reached again into her crocodile bag and drew out a long acid-green quill and a roll of parchment, which she stretched out between them on a crate of Mrs. Skower's All- Purpose Magical Mess Remover. She put the tip of the green quill into her mouth, sucked it for a moment with apparent relish, then placed it upright on the parchment, where it stood balanced on its point, quivering slightly.

"Testing. . . my name is Rita Skeeter, Daily Prophet reporter."

Arth looked down quickly at the quill. The moment Rita Skeeter had spoken, the green quill had started to scribble, skidding across the parchment:
Attractive blonde Rita Skeeter, forty-three, who's savage quill has punctured many inflated reputations -

"Lovely," said Rita Skeeter, yet again, and she ripped the top piece of parchment off, crumpled it up, and stuffed it into her handbag. 

Fucking bullshit.

Now she leaned toward Arthur and said, "So, Arthur... what made you decide to enter the Triwizard Tournament?"

"Er -" said Arth again, glancing at the quill.

Not to talk to you.

"Ignore the quill, Arthur," said Rita Skeeter firmly. 

Reluctantly Arthur looked up at her instead. "Now -- why did you decide to enter the tournament, Arthur?"

"To make the whole world know my name," said Arth while rolling his eyes. "I wanted to be known."

Rita Skeeter raised one heavily penciled eyebrow.
"I see. . . . A desire to prove yourself. How do you feel about the tasks ahead?" said Rita Skeeter. "Excited? Nervous?"

"Very challenging, I suppose. But not impossible," said Arth. He was slowly getting into bullshitting with Rita Skeeter.

"Champions have died in the past, haven't they?" said Rita Skeeter briskly. "Have you thought about that at all?"

"I believe that the danger of death is what is going to keep me alive," said Arth with a smile on his face.

The quill whizzed across the parchment between them, back and forward as though it were skating.
"Of course, you've looked danger in the face before, haven't you? As Harry Potter's best friend," said Rita Skeeter, watching him closely. "How would you say that's affected you?"

"It lets me know that in the face of danger, the worst thing to do is to freeze up. If you are scared, then fight for your life until you die," said Arth, putting on a heroic face.

"Do you have a trauma in your past?"

"Yes."

"Do you think that the trauma in your past might have made you keen to prove yourself? To live up to your name? Do you think that perhaps you were tempted to enter the Triwizard Tournament because-"

"I want to make sure people remember me as Arthur Kingscrown, not Harry Potter's Friend." said Arth, starting to feel inspired. "That way, I can be a better friend towards him."


"How do you think your parents would feel if they knew you were competing in the Triwizard Tournament? Proud? Worried? Angry?"

"They would expect me to defy all expectations and survive."

Time passed without them noticing and the door of the broom cupboard was pulled open. Arthur looked around, blinking in the bright light. Albus Dumbledore stood there, looking down at both of them, squashed into the cupboard.

"The Weighing of the Wands is about to start, and it cannot take place if one of our champions is hidden in a broom cupboard." said Dumbledore with a smile.

whan I am travelling lonely in a train I saw you . that you look gorgeous and beautiful with white skin and with a sphere face . By seeing you I want express all my feelings with you that treat you as a ... I loved that feeling when I saw you. As I am moving you are also coming with me up to my destination . CHAPTER 1 - I❜LL TELL YOU A STORY

Have you ever believed in the supernatural? You have. Haven't you? 

Who doesn't love a story of a vegetarian vampire falling in love with the loner emo girl? We all know who Raine's been talking about. Don't we? Werewolves finding their mates on or after their 18th birthday and spending a lifetime loving each other.

Cinderella meeting her handsome prince in a similar fashion and spending a lifetime loving each other. Don't we all secretly swoon ourselves over and over again at such endings whilst thinking 'What bullshit are all those writers doing'. 

Did we not? Well, probably not in the vegetarian vampire part. But who in this world does not wish or even hope for a happy ending. But that is it. Those are fairy tales. A bunch of, over glossed stories with a sole purpose in mind of standing out, whilst the details of horror in those stories— they were better left alone and unsaid. 

Who cares for the details, right? Results were all that we care anyway. Let us just stick with that.

As Raine was humoring her miserably ridiculous life after being rejected by her mate and shipped off by her family, whilst what they said and she quotes; "So, you wouldn't depress yourself over an undeserving jerk by seeing him with someone else on a daily basis". 

Ridiculous, right? 

Her aunt Riley's soothing voice brought back her attention to the present reality. "Raine, are you alright? You seem almost lost. You've visited our pack countless times before, haven't you?" She smiled.

'Just once.' Raine had wanted to protest but then on a second thought she held it back in. 

Riley Isabelle Frost was Raine's aunt and to Riley— Raine was her most beloved niece. She had been concerned at first but after looking over at her breathtakingly innocent face, that resembled her second brother's so much; she had been angry at the person who dared rejecting her. 

At that moment, Raine had wanted to cry but had no tears. Her aunt looked to be more lost and concerned than she 'the party in question' was. Raine wasn't even sure if her aunt even knew the art of coaxing or consoling. 
And she had been right on the point. Her aunt, Riley Frost who remained unbeaten at everything else has been sucking at motivating people since her childhood.

To not make it harder on her.. Raine did what had to be done. She gave her the best practiced smile she could muster and said. "I'm fine. Just a little overwhelmed. That is all I guess." And it had been the truth but— Considering the fact that she had a facial paralysis which gave away none of her emotions or thoughts just like her dad's. Her smile might have come across as crooked or weird. 

It was a wrong and deadly move on Raine's part. Her smile, ended up making her look more pitiful than anything else whilst she remained oblivious of its effects, Riley felt her heart ache. Against all odds, Raine tried her best at conveying her present mood across to this lovely and supportive person sitting beside her. She really did try her best, but..
Her aunt was giving off a mixed air that sent chills through her spine. Anger and frustration flashing in her eyes for seconds and then what remained was endless doting. 

"It will be fine, honey. It was just that the timing was a bit off— And that asshole of an alpha heir... Hmph. He's rotten to the core." 

So this was her story now. Wasn't it? A pitiful rejected alpha mate. Raine secretly pressed on her nose bridge. This was getting depressing. She was fine. Really, she was. She wasn't someone who desired a destined partner for life anyway. Her wolf spirit wasn't being out of the ordinary either. They were of one soul and mind. She'd notice if something was amiss. 

Letting out a breathe, Raine resigned to her fate. The overprotectiveness wasn't going to fade away overnight and there was nothing that she could say or do that would make a difference. It would only make them more alert and on guard. Worse, they would think that she was suicidal; like the others who have lost their mates or have been rejected by them. 

Yes. That— Happens. Not too often though. Some reconcile and for the lost, If they persist enough they might find a second chance mate for themselves. Let's just not talk about second chances, that's for the minority anyway. She has her heart set on living a life of a hermit. As for making herself better, stronger and out for revenge? No, thank you very much. Raine feels that she was dashing enough. It was that the guy that had eyes, but couldn't see. Raine wasn't given the nickname of Ice Princess for nothing. 

And it was definitely not because she has an expressionless-hard to read face. Probably not. 

Her family had great werewolf genes, considering they came from a long mixed lineage of Alphas, betas and warriors. It gave them quite an advantage over others because they had a wide range of network and connections. There has been no secrets that's ever been hidden from the Frost lineage. Well, that is going to be a talk about some other time. Sooner rather than later, she presumes.

As the car came to a halt, Raine looked outside to admire the scenery. A feeling of serenity greeted her welcome. Aunt Riley nudged her shoulder and smiled at her warmly. "Come on inside. Everyone's waiting for you."
