The end of October had come and Harry had somewhat settled into his routine. He did his best not to stand out for more than just being Harry Potter and since his two acquaintances were both doing amazing, he was able to hide in their shadows and make it look like his own above average abilities were due to their association. Neither was happy with that but after Harry begged them on his knees not to let anyone know he was the smart one, they agreed not to tell others.
So far there had only been one incident which threw off Harry's image of a 'just above average student with help,' and that was their first Flying Class. Harry got the worse broom and once Harry mounted the thing, it shot up into the air and broke in half leaving Harry to fall thirty feet from the sky. This wasn't the problem, the problem was that Harry did a shoulder roll on landing and got up without a single visible or measurable injury. If it was another student it would be talked about for a week and forgotten, but as Harry Potter, it was something that simply added to his immortalized legend.
Today was the day that the student delegations of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang would arrive at Hogwarts. It was a Saturday and although most would rather be playing indoors or in some cases, *cough* Hermione *cough*, doing their homework or studying, every student was made to stand out in the frigid cold and wait until the other schools showed up to show school wide unity.
"Weasley, straighten your hat, Ms. Patil, take that ridiculous thing out of your hair," cried McGonagall as she went row by row to confirm the uniformity of the students.
Once ready, she said, "Follow me please, first years out in front," and lead everyone to the Black Lake.
After waiting for a while, Dumbledore said aloud that Beauxbatons had arrived and pointed up. Harry saw what appeared to be a dozen elephant sized winged horses pulling an enormous carriage.
A few of the students unconsciously backed up when the carriage descended for a landing and the whole group felt the impact of the hoofbeats of the creature's landing.
A moment after the carriage came to a halt, a young man came out and opened a set of golden stairs. Dumbledore approached and met the woman who came out and exchanged pleasantries. What surprised most was that she was even taller than Hagrid.
A series of young women in powder blue robes left the carriage with an attempted show of grace that was difficult to pull off successfully with each and every one of them shivering to the bone. Dumbledore had a teacher escort the lot into the castle before they all froze solid and everyone else continued to wait for Durmstrang to show up.
Not wanting to be shown up it seemed, the Durmstrang delegation showed up in a giant ship which ascended from beneath the surface of the Black Lake leaving everyone to wonder how it got there in the first place.
The students of Durmstrang and their headmaster who looked like a stereotypical evil warlock all wore furs and looked far less fragile than their Beauxbatons counterparts. Harry heard the redhead standing a few places down from him, "Hey, that's Krum!"
According to a magazine in Harry's inventory, Victor Krum was a student of Durmstrang yet a professional Quidditch player, one of the best in the world even. He would be in his seventh year and his skill was expected to lead his team to the world cup once he graduated. Shame his team had no one else to rely on.
With their arrival the whole group returned to the castle into the warmth of the great hall. The Durmstrang students chose to sit at the Slytherin table while the Beauxbatons chose to sit with the Ravenclaws.
The headmaster introduced his fellow headmasters and told everyone the choosing of the champions would begin after the feast.
The food that appeared had a larger variety than normal which some of the cookbooks in Harry's inventory named as french dishes. Harry himself was watching the new students and checking out their exotic energy. Although there was no level floating above each person's head, the size and brightness of the exotic energy mass within each gave Harry an idea for their Magic stats and Magic Path Rank.
From Beauxbatons, the strongest contender seemed to be a blond young woman whose magic seemed more a part of her than normal. This was something he usually only saw in magical creatures. The strongest from Durmstrang was unsurprisingly Victor Krum, and not by a small margin either. Though if that meant he was good or everyone else from his school was bad, Harry did not know. There were a few possible contenders for Hogwarts but the strongest sat at the Hufflepuff table. Harry would say he was level 50 with a Magic Path Rank of 9.

Harry meditated daily to level up at least once a day and extra on weekends while practicing combat both magical and non-magical against the monsters he faced. Teaching Neville and Hermione while studying himself got his Scholar path up an impressive amount and last month Harry finally came up with a rune scheme that protected electronics from exotic energy. It basically used an ordered set of exotic energy and froze it in place around the electronics, forming something of a shield. The frozen shield wouldn't enter the fragile parts and would stop additional exotic energy up to a certain strength from entering. It wouldn't survive anything stronger than a weak spell but would at least not get fried just from ambient energy.
Once that was done, Harry added to his routine more time to study computers and electronics. At a few points Harry had to sneak out of Hogwarts to apparate to London and buy some more electronics but he hadn't been caught so far which was a win for him and let him advance his Tech path as well.
Harry waited until the feast was over to see how the tournament participants would be selected so he could ponder on how he would be entered.
Two men entered the Great Hall and Dumbledore said, "Let me introduce, for those who do not know them, Mr. Bartemius Crouch, Head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation, and Mr. Ludo Bagman, Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports. They will be joining myself along with Professor Karkaroff and Madame Maxime as the judges for the tournament."
Mr. Filch, the strange nearly magicless man came in with a jewel encrusted chest and placed it before Dumbledore.
Dumbledore gave a few more foreboding warnings before tapping the chest three times and opened it to reveal a rather large silver cup. He explained that it was called the Goblet of Fire and would be the impartial judge. He would take it to the entrance hall and draw an age line around it that would prevent any under the age of seventeen from approaching it. Once there, he would light it and any who felt themselves up to the challenge would have to write their name on a piece of paper and place it in the goblet. The next day, the goblet would choose three names, one of each school to be contenders for the Triwizard Cup.
Once the feast was over, Harry, Hermione, Neville and the still as of yet to be named redhead went to the dorm. The redhead asked, "Harry, are you going to enter your name in it?"
Harry shrugged, "Nope, doubt it matters. The Goblet will likely spit out my name regardless."
Neville said, "Oh yeah, didn't you bet Hermione you'd be entered to compete against your will?"
Hermione said, "There is no way you're going to complete."
"What if Snape or some seventh year enters my name?"
Hermione said, "Even if they did, there is no way the goblet would choose a first year when seventh years.." Her complaint about Harry's lack of skill compared to a seventh year died down when she realized she had no actual idea where Harry's skill level was at. Anyone else and there was no second thought about it. Harry Potter on the other hand.
The redhead spoke up, "Do you guys hear that?"
Harry didn't hear anything so he paused and turned the background sound up on the menu. Once he unpaused, the sound of massive footsteps echoed from around the corner down the hall.
Everyone turned around to go back down the hallway but the stairs leading up to the hallway decided not to cooperate and twisted away leading no way to go but forward.
A large green monster with a stupid looking face and a massive wooden club turned the corner and locked eyes with the four students. Yup, it was a troll.
Harry hadn't fought a troll before but his racing heartbeat was quickly quelled by the passive mental ability of his Gamer power.
The others were not so lucky. The redhead started muttering in circles, Hermione was hyperventilating, and Neville was frozen solid.
Harry paused the world and walked over to the troll to examine him. The reach of his club would prevent anyone from running past him and Harry really didn't feel like dying today. Harry returned back to the end of the hall where the stairs had left him and came up with an idea. Harry confirmed the distance and measured it a few times before going over the plan a few more times to be sure. One he was ready, he unpaused and was returned back to his original position.
Harry grabbed Neville and the redhead by the robes and said, "Hermione, follow me now, no questions," and dragged them both back to where the stairs were. Hermione was the type to overthink rather than freeze so she easily adjusted and followed Harry back.
The hallway met the stairs at a balcony with a rail that extended further left and right than the hallway, out of sight of the troll. Harry shoved Neville and the redhead into one side and pointed to the other side and told Hermione, "Stay there, don't move, I have a plan, it will work, don't move."
Hermione tucked herself into the corner and Harry returned to the hallway where the long strides of the Troll had it almost to their position. Harry stood before the troll who swung its club and Harry paused again to go back and confirm that Hermione wasn't peaking.
Luckily she was still crouched down in the corner and Neville had passed out and the redhead seemed to have his eyes shut.
Harry unpaused and ducked under the swing before he slipped under the troll's legs. He then cast a Slippery Jinx on the troll's skin which caused the ungraceful monster's legs to slip out from its own weight. Lastly, Harry used an overpowered knockback jinx to send the troll down what might as well have been a frictionless hall due to the slippery jinx where the troll sailed off the stairless deck and down the tower four full flights before landing on the bottom.
Harry walked over to the edge and peered down at the fallen monster. The creature's exotic energy was circulating around its body meaning it wasn't dead, but likely wouldn't get up soon.
When Harry went back over to Hermione she reached out and hugged him.
The redhead seemed to have seen the troll fly off the balcony and said, "Blimey Harry, what did you do?"
Harry shrugged and said, "Slippery jinx and knockback jinx. Made the troll slip and knocked him back. Gravity took care of the rest."
Hermione said, "Harry, that was brilliant!"
He argued back, "Lucky is more like it. Had we been trapped on the first floor, that wouldn't have gone so well."
Neville got up and said, "What happened?"
Hermione looked hesitant to answer before the redhead said, "Harry defeated the troll!"
Neville's eyes shot up and he exclaimed, "What? That was real? Where is it?"
The redhead pointed down the tower where several students and a teacher had now approached the troll which still wasn't moving.
Hermione said, "We should get a teacher."
Harry sighed in defeat but didn't argue. Ten minutes later Harry had told everyone what had happened several times. The knockback jinx wouldn't be taught for a few more months but was still considered a first year spell while the slippery jinx wasn't taught at all but was around the level of a first year spell.
That being said, the slippery jinx was normally something that targeted the hand which caused the target's wand to slip from their grip. Casting in a way where the friction of the entire surface of a troll was removed was far beyond the norm. And the knockback jinx was little more than a very hard push and was less effective the heavier something was. The weight of a fully grown mountain troll should have barely budged with such a spell, frictionless surface or not.
Luckily for Harry, Snape was there and more than happy to downplay Harry's achievements as luck which Harry had no complaints about.
Still, before the next morning there was not a single person within the castle who did not know of Harry's single handed defeat of the troll.
Breakfast time included rumors being passed back and forth about who entered their names in the goblet and tales of Harry's Epic Battle with the troll where he punched it through a wall and sent it flying to the other side of the castle. Harry himself found each retelling more outlandish than the last. What was the point of using first year spells if people weren't going to bother recalling the details? Should he use fiendfyre next time?
Harry went around the Entrance Hall so he wouldn't be seen in the same room as the Goblet. Some part of him figured if he actually entered his name, the Goblet would probably select him as Hogwarts champion. But what if the quest was like a self fulfilling prophecy where if he didn't hear it, he wouldn't have entered himself thinking he was already destined for it and wouldn't have had to complete?!
Slightly crazy perhaps, but he still wanted to avoid purposefully entering himself so he could see how his name would come out anyways.
This year, Halloween was on a Sunday, and while some students had plans that revolved around sitting in front of a cup all day, Harry actually intended on being productive. Along with Hermione, Harry spent the next several hours in the library. He would look for an interesting book, place it in his inventory and pause, and take as long to go over it as he wanted. The fun part was that he could even look through the restricted section. Each of those books had a spell where should the book be opened by someone without a special permission slip, the book would literally start screaming. However since books needed to be moved every once in a while, simply taking them off the shelf didn't do anything as long as they were off the shelf too long.
This system certainly never took into account an ability to read a book without opening the cover in less than a second.
Harry couldn't go to the restricted section often or he'd get caught, but when no one was around he'd walk over to it, remove a book, place it in his inventory, pause, go over it completely, then unpause, remove it and set it back. With practice the book was only off the shelf for two seconds.
Thanks to his Scholar Path reaching rank 11, Harry could read and cross reference material far more thoroughly than he used to be able to. Harry figured he'd have all the unique and important books memorized by February.
Once the time for the Halloween feast got close, Harry and Hermione both returned to the Great Hall to watch the selection for the tournament.
Hermione saw that Harry was eating with the zen like acceptance of a death row convict having his last meal and said, "Harry, you are not going to be chosen alright?"
Harry spoke up, "Oh ye of little faith. I thought after yesterday you would stop doubting my talent as a trouble magnet. Just because I'm a first year and I didn't go anywhere near the goblet doesn't mean my name won't come out."
Neither Harry or Hermione were whispering and Harry heard a few Gryffindors seem to whisper back to back and what seemed to be bets being made.
The redhead said, "My brothers tried getting past the age line with an aging potion but it shot them back and they both grew a beard."
Harry said, "One of them should keep it so we can tell them apart."
The redhead responded, "Naw, even if they did, they'd probably figure out how to switch the beard just to make everyone mistake one for the other."
Harry could see the twins doing that.
The Goblet had been moved to a stand in front of the headmaster's table and the students of both visiting schools entered the hall and waited to the side.
Once the feast ended, Dumbledore stood up and said, "Well, the goblet is almost ready to make its decision. I estimate that it requires one more minute. Now, when the champions' names are called, I would ask them to please come up to the top of the Hall, walk along the staff table, and go through into the next chamber where they will be receiving their first instructions."
The headmaster waved his wand around which lowered the brightness of the candles. The Goblet of Fire was the brightest flame in the hall.
After a moment, the flame spit out a paper which Dumbledore caught and named the Durmstrang champion as Victor Krum, to no one's surprise. The next paper that shot out named the Beauxbatons champion Fleur Delacour, the young blond Harry noticed earlier.
When the last paper shot out, a collective breath was held by the entire hall.
"The Hogwarts champion, is Cedric Diggory!"
While the entire hall turned to uproar, Hermione turned to Harry and gave a silent, knowing, and slightly smug smile. Harry noticed several of the Gryffindors glance at Harry with a bit of an edge. There had in fact been bets placed on him.
Harry however noticed the fire hadn't gone out yet. He turned to face Hermione and waggled a finger back and forth signifying, 'not yet.'
Dumbledore had already started his speech about giving the three champions support and his honest hopes for the tournament. He never got to finish his speech as the Goblet of Fire roared to life once more and spat out a fourth slip of paper before finally going out.. Hermione immediately turned to face Harry who gave her an 'I told you so' smile.
Harry himself felt the exotic energy of the cup attach itself to him in the same moment.

Harry was surprised that the contract actually connected to him and was more surprised that he was now considered a legal adult. That was something he could use.
After a long pause of looking at the singed parchment, Dumbledore called out, "Harry Potter."
Harry innocently asked aloud, "Yes Headmaster?"
Dumbledore took a moment to collect himself before adding, "Harry Potter, come up here if you please."
Harry stood up and said, "Um sir, if this is your idea of a joke, I think I would prefer the one about a troll, a hag, and a leprechaun who all go into a bar."
A few nervous chuckles broke the silence.
The headmaster gave a weak smile before continuing, "I'm afraid this is not a joke Mr. Potter, your name has come out of the Goblet of Fire. Please head to the room with your fellow Champions."
Harry let his head down in defeat and made his way up the hall. He announced aloud, "For my next funeral, I like white lilies," before joining his fellow champions in the other room.

Thursday evening following supper, the students of Hogwarts, Beauxbaton and Durmstrang are gathering once again in the the Great Hall. Everybody looks excited and full of grand expectations, while a merry mood infects everybody who enters. Conversations everywhere seem to revolve around the tournament at large, more specifically either who the three champions might turn out to be or what the three challenges might entail.
Only a few student's remain stoically silent, among them Victor Krum, who following Edward's outburst is constantly in a bad mood, as well as Fleur Delacour, who is occupied with cuddling her little sister and Irena.
Entering the hall together with Sibilla, Edward is able to spot the last sitting together with Hermione and her two friends. 
Surprised to find the temperamental Demoness together with his sister, the former Alfather shoots his companion a questioning look. Shooting him a dazeling smile, Sibilla explains. ''I don't know what she is thinking, since she and I aren't currently talking, but if I had to guess, I would say she has found a companion in Hermione.''
''Ah, I get it. I fucked up and now the two of them hate me...'' Says as they take their seats relatively far away from the center. ''... The only question now is how do I win the two of them over back?''
 Sitting down like a lady, both feet to one side of the bank and her back against his chest, Sibilla leans into him stating. ''Being able to admit your own faults is the first step to self betterment.''
''Love you Sib..'' Tells Edward her, about to kiss her rosy pillowy lips, as Dumbledore, Maxima and Karkaroff arriive. Drawing everybodys attention, the headmaster tells everybody. ''Calm down please. And now the moment you've all been waiting for, the champions selection!''
As Dumbledore approaches goblet, the blue flame suddenly start to glow red beforeshooting our the first name. Catching the piece of paper as it comes out, everyone looks rather anxiously.
Unfolding thr paper Dumbledore announces. ''The Durmstrang champion is ... Viktor Krum!''
As the Durmstrang crowd cheer and Edward looks over to his friend, Victor with a complicated but smug smile on his face. As the two of them get into a stareing contest, another name is shot out of the goblet and Dumbledore announces. ''The champion from Beauxbatons... Fleur Delacour!''
The Beauxbatons girls cheer as Fleur walks up and soon stands right next to Krum, having a healthy embarrassed blush on her face, since the rumours of ther alleged romance have gone rampant recently. Showing a huge smile on her face, Sibilla is genuinely happy for her friend as she spots her sister's dark inquisitive gaze.
Unable to her sister, that their husband had messed with the cup, Sibbila can only shrug, while snuggling deep into Edwards embrace.
In the mean time another name has been come out of the Goblet of fire and as Dumbledore is reading the piece of paper, he announces. ''The Hogwarts champion... Cedric Diggory.''
The Hogwarts pupils cheer as Cedric joins the other two champions and the headmaster shows a gentle smile, addressing the hall at large. ''Excellent! We now have our three champions! But in the end only one will go down in history. Only one will hoist this chalice of champions, this vessel of victory the tri-wizard cup!'
Saying that, Dumbledore suddenly points at an object at the other end of the hall, that is guarded by four aurors and is covered under a red cloth. As soon as the old man says the words 'tri-wizard cup', the cloth is blasted away by an invisible, revealing one of the most artistic and impressive pieces of art, said tri-wizard cup.
As people cheer, the Goblet of Fire once again glows red once more and this time three pieces of papers are ejected in one go. Shocked Dumbledore receives all three and reads out loud. ''Irena Proudmore, Edward Granger and Harry Potter. Harry Potter?''
Giving Sibilla a soft squeeze, Edward stands up and shoots a proud looking Irena a cheeky smile. As soon as Irena sees that, her mood once again darkens. Smiling even brighter, Edward starts contemplating his  modificatins on the goblet. -Did I modify it to create two or three additional spots? I could swear I only created two... One for Irena and one from me... How did Smart Glasses get an additional spot? Something doesn't seem right. Isn't this Harry Potter the same age as Hermione?-
Contemplating this, while walking up to Mr Dumbledore, Edward suddenly hears different people voice out their opinions, instantly penetrating the silence that rouse following the last announcement.
(Huge hairy man) "No ... No.''
(Dumbledore) ''Harry Potter!''
(Hermione) ''Go on Harry. Harry for goodness sake.''
Seeing his sisters friend slowly walks up, as he himself recieves his paper from Dumbledore, Edward decides to wait for him instead of instantly following after Irena, who has already joined the other champions. As the boy is given his piece of paper by Dumbledore, voices in the crowd start to shout out.
(Boy#1) ''He's a cheat! He's not even seventeen yet.''
(Girl#1) ''Agreed! Have him investigated!"
(Boy#2) "How the hell did he do it anyway? I demand an explanation!"
(Girl#2) ''I agreee! Investigate! We have to uphold the sanctity of the tournament!''
Hearing comments such as these sound out like tidle waves, as he and Harry walk side by side out of the Great Hall joining the now four other champions, Edward can only curse at them mentally. -Are you guys degenerates? How the hell are you guys only complaining about the poor little guys participation? Isn't it more obvious that all three additional spots where cheated? Don't I deserve the title of Chief Cheater or Cheater in chief, at the very least!-
Entering the room with the other champions, Edward puts his hand on the pale looking Harry in silent comfort. Shortly after them entering, Karkaroff bursts in, wanting to grab the boy , but before his hand can even touch him, the former Death Eater freezes for only a monent. 
That moment is enough for Dumbledore to enter and ask the frightened looking Harry. ''Harry! Did you put your name in the goblet of fire?
''No sir.'' Answers Harry instantly while Edward wordlessly retreats his wandlessly cast spell from Karkaroff.
Looking deep into Harrys eyes, Dumbledore asks another question. ''Did you ask one of the older students to do it for you?"
Sounfing more and more desperate, Harry states. ''No sir.''
Looking a bit pale, the headmaster asks once again. ''You're absolutely sure?''
''Yes...'' Says Harry, before instantly getting interrupted by Madam Maxime. ''Well of course he is lying.''
Before Edward is able to voice out his own opinion, Moody already does his. ''The hell he is. The goblet of fire is an exceptionally powerful magical object, only an exceptionally powerful conjurer could have hoodwinked it. Magic way beyond the talents of a fourth year.''
''You seem to have given this a fair bit of thought Mad-Eye.'' Shouts the now freed former Death Eater at the ex-auror.
Looking deep into Karkaroffs eyes, Moody says through clenched teeth. ''It was once my job to think as dark wizards do Karkaroff perhaps you remember?
Getting in between the two Dumbledore intervenes saying. ''That doesn't help Alastor. I leave this to you Barty.''
Having all eyes turned to him Barty Crouch looks out of the window announcing. ''The rules are absolute, the goblet of fire constitutes a binding magical contract. Mr Potter and the rest have no choice, they are as of tonight... a tri-wizards champions...'' Seeing angry stares aimed at him by both Karlaroff as well as Maxime,  he adds. ''... But there sill needs to be an investigation into this... irregularity.''
''I can do that...'' Announces Edward suddenly demanding the attention of everyone present.

In an attempt to sourvive Ragnarok, the Allfather Odin and his two wives, the Asgardian Queen Frigg Aesir and the Valkyrie Queen Freya Vanir, have their soules transported into the Wizarding World.
Reawakened as Edward 'Odin' Granger, the former Allfather starts his life in the wizarding world, as do his wives that have been reincarnated as the Proudmore twins Sibilla and Irena. 
Only difference between him and them, he has only resently awakened his memories at the age of seventeen, whereas his queens had been born with them.
Attempting to reconnect with each other in the wizarding world, soon becomes their greatest challenge yet, as Odins hedonistic ways, destiny and the return of a certain Dark Lord get in their way of happiness...

Chapter Thirteen The Tri Wizard Tournament

The thing flying over the Forbidden Forest turned out to be a flying carriage belonging to Beauxbatons. Everyone gasped when the biggest woman Harry had ever seen stepped out of the carriage after it had landed. Well she was the tallest woman he had ever seen, Marge Dursley was still the biggest. She was followed into the castle by a group of girls and boys in blue silk school uniforms. They all seemed to be freezing and Harry had to laugh internally at the awed expressions on their faces at seeing the castle.

Durmstrang arrived about ten minutes later. Their mode of travel turned out to be ancient ship that appeared out of a whirlpool in the Black Lake. The Durmstrang student all wore heavy cloaks and were led by a silver haired man who had what looked like a permanent sneer on his face. The surprise came when Harry heard Ron shout like a fan girl. "It's Krum! Look, look Harry! That's Viktor Krum the seeker!"

It was indeed Viktor Krum. ' I didn't know he was still in school. Rons practically wetting himself. Get a grip.' Harry thought. After the Durmstrang students entered the castle, McGonagall called for everyone to go to the Great Hall to begin the welcoming feast.

Beauxbatons sat at the Ravenclaw table and Durmstrang sat with the Slytherins. Ron, and quite a few others, had a disappointed look on their faces at this last one. "Look at Malfoy trying to cozy up to Krum" Harry saw Malfoy was trying to talk to Krum but Krum was ignoring him. Ron continued. "Git! Krums too good for him."

Hermione asked. "Did you know that Krum was still in school?"

"I knew that he was the youngest seeker in professional Quidditch, but I didn't know he was still in school." Ron answered, not taking his eyes off of Krum. "I bet he will be a champion." Harry had to agree.

At that moment Dumbledore stood up. Harry noticed that there four extra seats at the teachers table. Two were taken by the Headmaster and Headmistress of the other schools. Harry learned that their names were Maxime and Karkaroff. The other two seats were filled by Barty Crouch and Ludo Bagman. Harry noticed that Hagrid couldn't take his eye off of Maxime and that Crouch, Moody and Snape kept sending filthy glances at Karkaroff. Moody also sent the same types of looks at Crouch. Harry wondered what that was about. 'They spend so much time together. I wonder if they had a fight?' Harry thought to himself.

The Headmaster had started to speak. "…to welcome the beautiful boys and girls of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic!" The whole hall applauded politely. "And the proud sons and daughters of the Durmstrang Institute!" The applause was a little louder for Durmstrang, probably because of Krum. "We welcome their Headmaster and Headmistress, Madame Maxine and Igor Karkaroff." The applause died down quickly. "We are also honored to have two distinguished gentlemen from the Ministry of Magic joining us tonight. Allow me to introduce Barty Crouch from the Department of Magical Cooperation." There was polite applause. "And Ludo Bagman from Magical Games and Sports!" The applause was more frantic for Bagman. "We are honored by their presence for… THE TRI WIZARD TOURNAMENT!" Dumbledore shouted at the end. The applause was deafening at that proclamation

Harry couldn't help but get excited along with everyone else in the Great Hall. 'I wonder who the Hogwarts champion will be? Hope it's a Gryffindor.' He thought. Ron and Hermione had excited expressions on their faces too.

"I have some very important announcements about the tournament to still make… but they can wait. Tuck in!" Dumbledore swept his arm across the hall and food appeared on the tables.

There was a greater variety of food then Harry had ever seen before. 'Must be from the other countries. The house elves outdid themselves. It sure looks good.' Harry decided to try a little of everything, Hermione seemed to do the same. Rons plate was already piled high with food, but none of the new dishes were on it. Harry was surprised that there was any food that Ron would turn down. 'No sense of adventure.' Harry thought.

Harry spent the feast enjoying the food and avoiding looking at Ron and his atrocious eating habits. After the deserts had disappeared, Dumbledore stood back up. "Now that we have all been fed and watered… The Goblet of Fire!" at this Filch entered the hall carrying a bejeweled wooden chest and set it down in front of Dumbledore. Dumbledore tapped his wand on the chest which seemed to melt away to nothing, and in its place was a wooden cup the size of a standard cauldron on a pedestal. The surprising thing about this cup was that it was filled with blue flames. There were Ooh's and Aahs heard all over the hall at its appearance.

Dumbledore continued. "The Goblet of Fire will select the three champions. Just write your name and school on a piece of parchment and put it in the Goblet. Be sure before you enter. The Goblet of Fire creates a binding magical contract, so if you're chosen you are required to compete." The hall broke out in conversation at this. "Because of safety concerns, it has been decided by the Ministry that only of age wizards and witches will be allowed to compete this year. For this reason I will draw an age line around the goblet which will be placed in the entrance hall for easy access. Eternal glory and 1000 galleons prize money will belong to the champion. The Tri Wizard Tournament begins… NOW!"

Tremendous applause and excited chatter enveloped the hall. The twins were in a furious discussion with Lee Jordan. Harry knew they would try something and it would be entertaining. He didn't think they would succeed though. Ron was talking to Seamus and Dean. It looked like he was also plotting a way for himself to enter the tournament. Harry ignored all the noise around him and watched Beauxbatons and Durmstrang leave the hall following Maxime and Karkaroff. Hermione asked. "I wonder where they are going to sleep?"

Ron joined the conversation at this. "We should ask Krum if he wants to bunk with us. I would give up my bed for him if he stayed with us."

Harry thought. 'You would probably join him in your bed with the way you fawn over him.'

Hermione said. "Don't be stupid Ron. They must have made arrangements before arriving. I just wondered what they are."

Ron snapped. "I know that! I just meant that it would be cool if Krum could join us."

Hermione just huffed and walked off to Gryffindor tower. Harry was sure that Ron never thought about the other schools sleeping arrangements and he really did hope that Krum would be sleeping with him. Ron and Harry started to also head to Gryffindor tower and Ron asked. "So Harry, you gonna try and enter? Seamus and Dean are going to try and throw their names into the goblet from behind the age line. Do you think it will work?"

"I don't know Ron, and I don't really care. And no, I'm not going to try and enter. Good luck to you though." Replied Harry.

"Come on mate." Ron answered back. "It would be so cool to be in the tournament."

"Maybe to you it would be cool, but I just want an easy year for once." Harry said. They were quiet the rest of the way to the tower before thy split up. Ron went to Seamus and Dean while Harry went to bed. He was going to take the night and next day off of his extra training. "Too much activity with the cup and the other schools to make sneaking around easy or safe."

Harry slept in the next morning before he joined what looked like most of the school in the entrance hall to watch people enter the tournament, and a few people fail. It turned out that tossing your name from behind the age line didn't work. The parchment burst into flame as it crossed the line. The most spectacular example of a fail that Harry witnessed was when the Weasley twins brewed an aging potion and crossed the line. They were thrown back and when they stood up they each had long white beards similar to Dumbledores'. Hermione commented. "I told you it wouldn't work." In her normal, smug tone of voice.

Durmstrang entered the hall at that moment and formed a line to enter their names. Harry asked Hermione." Has Beauxbatons entered yet?"

"They were here earlier." She answered. Harry and Hermione spent most of the day hanging around the entrance hall cheering any Hogwarts student that entered their name, especially the Gryffindors. Ron was also hanging around but spent more time with Seamus and Dean.

Another feast was held that night, this one with more of the standard Halloween decorations. There were floating Jack-O-Lanterns above all the tables and a swarm of bats zoomed around the ceiling of the Great Hall. Most people weren't paying attention to the decoration, too excited about the tournament. The meal seemed to pass slower than usual for most and when the deserts vanished nobody could sit still.

When Dumbledore stood, all of the hall quieted down. "Another excellent feast is done and it is now almost time for the champions to be selected. I estimate the Goblet needs another two minutes. If your name is selected, please come forth and enter the chamber behind the teachers table to my right. The champions will get their instructions when everyone is assembled. My thanks to Beauxbatons and Durmstrang for joining us in making this tournament a reality. I believe it is now... Time!" After his last word the Goblet of Fire changed colors. Instead of a bright blue flame, there was an even brighter orange and red flame that seemed to grow out of the cup. All of a sudden. sparks erupted and a smoking piece of parchment floated down to Dumbledore's hand. Snatching it out of the air, he read. "The champion for the Durmstrang Institute will be… Viktor Krum!" tremendous applause followed.
Clapping maniacally and saying "I knew it, I knew it, told you didn't I!" Ron said while slapping Harry on the back.
Sparks flew out of the goblet again and another piece of parchment was released. Grabbing it Dumbledore read, "The champion from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic is… Fleur Delacour." A very pretty blonde girl got up from the Ravenclaw table and started to head toward Dumbledore. There was polite clapping for her selection, but nowhere near as loud as for Krum. It seemed like some of her fellow students were upset with her selection. She had an indifferent look on her face as she entered the chamber behind the teachers table.
There was a nervous hush over the hall now. The Hogwarts champion would be next and the rest of the students were looking around trying to guess who would be chosen. There were quite a few pale faces in the upper years, Harry thought. 'Must be having second thoughts about being chosen.'

Sparks once again flew from the goblet and Dumbledore announced the champion for Hogwarts was, "Cedric Diggory!". The hall broke out in riotous applause, no more so than in the Hufflepuff table. Harry was a little disappointed in the champion not being a Gryffindor but at least Cedric was a fellow seeker. Watching Cedric enter the chamber, Harry let out a relived sigh. 'At least that's over and I won't be involved in anything this year. Thank Merlin!'

He had spoken too soon. As soon as he had finished thinking that thought, the goblet once again shot out sparks and another piece of parchment was ejected. Again Dumbledore snatched the parchment and looked at it with a surprised expression on his face, and all of a sudden said. "Harry Potter." Everyone was surprised when the fourth parchment left the goblet, now all eyes turned to Harry who was frozen in shock. All he could think was. "What the fuck!"
Again Dumbledore called "Harry Potter" a little louder. This time Hermione gave Harry a little push towards the front of the hall, like everyone else she had a shocked look on her face. Harry wasn't able to say anything; he got up slowly and walked toward Dumbledore who pointed him to the chamber.

Walking into the chamber he saw Cedric, Fleur and Krum all sitting around the fireplace that was merrily crackling away. They all looked like Champions to Harry, even Fleur who he didn't know but had a confident expression on her face that led one to believe she could face anything she experienced. He walked in with a confused expression on the face and Fleur asked. "Do they want us back in the hall? I thought we were supposed to wait for instructions here."
Harry couldn't respond verbally so he just shook his head. All of a sudden there was a large commotion coming from behind him and Dumbledore followed by Maxine, Karkaroff, McGonagall, Snape, Bagman and Crouch entered the room. Dumbledore immediately went to Harry and grabbing his shoulder, pushed him into the wall and asked in his commanding voice. "Did you enter your name in the goblet Harry?"
Harry was too shocked to properly answer right away, and then he felt his magic detection ring and Legilamancy protection necklace heat up and felt a pressure on his Oclumancy shields. Dumbledore was trying to read his mind. At this Harry got angry and kneed Dumbledore in his special tender place. Dumbledore slumped the ground and everyone was frozen in shock at this reaction. The first to recover was Snape who yelled. "Detention Potter and 1000 points deduction for assaulting the headmaster unprovoked!"
Harry just yelled, "No!"
Snape yelled back, "You insufferable brat! What do you mean no? We all saw you so assault the headmaster. Don't think that your fame will get you out of this! If it wasn't for your cheating your way into the tournament, I would see you expelled and I will see you in detention for the rest of the year for your actions!"
McGonagall had gone to check on Dumbledore who was still on the ground moaning. Harry said, "No! I didn't enter this stupid tournament and I won't be serving any detention with you!"
Snape shot back. "Your arrogance knows no bounds, does it Potter?"
"Shut up you greasy git!" Harry yelled back "This bastard," he said pointing at Dumbledore, "Tried to read my mind! Just like you do in potions class all the time!"
This shut up Snape. McGonagall had to say. "That is a serious accusation Mr. Potter and even if it is true your actions were extreme."
Harry was shocked but not too surprised at McGonagall reaction and answered her back. "The headmaster came in here and assaulted me both physically and mentally. I think my reaction was quite understandable in the situation."
By this time Dumbledore had stood up with the help of McGonagall and said "Well I do not agree with your reaction but I must apologize to you Harry. I did in fact try to read your thoughts to confirm my suspicions that you did not enter yourself in this tournament, again I apologize"
Crouch spoke up at this point. "Be that as it may Dumbledore, using legilimancy see on a minor is a serious crime. I will have to report you to the Ministry."
Dumbledore responded. "That won't be necessary Barty, for I am Mr. Potters magical guardian and I'm authorized to use whatever means necessary to protect my ward, and finding out the truth of his involvement in the tournament falls under that." There was a mad twinkle in his eye again.

"You're my what!? That gives you the right to **** my mind? Are you kidding me?" screamed a shocked Harry Potter. He already knew that Dumbledore was his guardian but this was the first time that Dumbledore had admitted it to him.
Dumbledore turned back to Harry and said. "I am your magical guardian dear boy. It is my responsibility to ensure your magical safety and education. I don't make it a habit to pry into anothers thoughts but.."

"If it's your responsibility for my magical safety then get me out of this damn tournament. I didn't enter and I don't want to be in it. Besides Hogwarts already has a champion." Harry said, cutting off Dumbledores excuse and nodding his head towards Cedric. Everyone still had shocked silence expressions.
Dumbledore said, "I'm afraid that is not possible. The Goblet of Fire is a binding magical contract. Even if you didn't enter it yourself, your name did come out of it and you are obliged to compete or risk losing your magic.

"You can't be serious!" sputtered Harry.
I'm afraid so dear boy. Barty back me up on this." Replied Dumbledore.
"I'm afraid Dumbledore is completely correct Mr. Potter. The Goblet of Fire does signify a binding magical contract and your name, however unorthodox did come out of it. You're required to complete the three tasks of the tournament or lose your magic." Crouch said in an exasperated tone.

Harry thought, 'Why does this always happen to me?'
At that moment Moody entered the chamber and said. "It looks like someone Confunded the goblet into thinking there was a fourth champion. Looks like you're stuck Potter. Be careful, many champions have died in this tournament. This might be the reason you were entered."
Harry said "Great, just what I need! Another fucking year and people are trying to kill me."
McGonagall said, "Language Potter that will be 10 points from Gryffindor."
"Like I give a shit!" replied Harry, and practically everybody let out a shocked gasp. Moody just had a smile on his face and Dumbledore looked disappointed.
Maxime said "What is going on Dumbledore? It is not fair, you having two champions."

Karkaroff agreed with her. "Yes, if it was up to me I would leave right now!" he said.

"But it's not up to you is it?" said Moody.

Bagman interrupted at this point. "Yes well, notwithstanding the strange circumstances. It looks like we have four champions. The first task of the tournament will be on the 24 of November. You will be showing your courage by facing the unknown. So we won't tell you anything more about the task. Good luck." He winked at Harry.

Fleur turned to Maxime and asked. "Are they going to let this little boy compete with us? It is going to make the tournament a joke!"

Before Maxime could answer her, Harry said. "Oh shut it you stuck up princess! This little boy has done more than you could possibly dream of!"

Fleur gave an affronted snort at this and turned away from Harry. Maxime led her out of the chamber and back to the carriages. Before she left the room, Maxime said over shoulder. "We will be a lodging a formal complaint with your Ministry over this travesty Dumbledore."
Krum joined Karkaroff in leaving the room. Crouch and Bagman excused themselves, saying they had to get back to the Ministry and Moody left saying he would examine the goblet more closely to see if he could determine who might've put Harrys name in it. Dumbledore asked Snape and McGonagall to his office to discuss how this is going to affect the tournament and the school. Before they left the room Harry said. "I want a copy of the tournament rules Dumbledore!" who turned around and nodded to Harry and then left. Cedric and Harry were now alone in the room.
"You really didn't do your name into it, did you Harry?" asked Cedric.
"What made you figure that out? My yelling that I didn't do it, or me kneeing Dumbledore in the balls?" Harry said back sarcastically.

"Yeah, I can't believe you did that. Are you going to really skip detention with Snape?" asked Cedric
"Yeah, there's no way I'm going to be alone with that greasy git." Harry said back.

Harry and Cedric walked out to the entrance hall. "It appears that everyone has gone back to their common rooms. I'll see you later." said Cedric

The soul had been alone, thinking it was in an empty abyss until that prompt appeared in front of him. He realized that he could understand it, but wondered who he was and how he came to be here.
Though their faces were threatening to fade from his memories, he sensed that he had people that he loved, but even if he could just barely remember their faces, he couldn't remember their names or anything else.
He felt a wrongness here, like this was not supposed to happen, he thought he should have remembered.

Well, leaving that aside, when you reincarnate you are supposed to lose your memories of your previous life, but I'll do you a serving. You see, you raked up a whole lot of Karma in your previous life, so I'll let you use it to buy things in the shop.
Giving things for free is just broken, don't you think? I certainly do! That was the largest flaw I found with the original system you were given. The second problem was keeping your memories in tact, which goes against the normal requirements for reincarnation, though.
I'll tell you what, though. If you entertain me in this life, I'll see you when you pass and I'll think about granting you an exception and returning your memories to you. Don't come too soon, though, as that would be boring.

Needless to saym studying all of that took a very long time, hut once he finished he was notified that he had additional wandcrafting options.
Draco did not mind that the Mythical Wandcrafting book cost him half a billion Karma once he say the new options.

The soul was very excited to see that, understanding that SSS was a very good result and thinking that he'd get something amazing
Not wanting to waste what time he had left, he got into the shop and bought a set of occlumency books, Basic and advanced, for 10000 Karma, saving 2500 Karma since he bought them at the same time. There was sadly no mythical Occlumency book like there was for wandcrafting, at least not yet.
"Open Basic Occlumency." he thought.

His name is Draco Malfoy, at least it is now.  He started out as a soul before the System he possessed rebooted, apparently after suffering a critical error.  Apparently, features he had from the system were incompatible with where he was to be reincarnated, but our MC couldn't remember why.

After receiving a mysterious message through his system from a god or something, someone calling him Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, the soul who would become Draco Malfoy, was left to experiment with his Mysterious System.

Fortunately, his Newbie Pack gave him all seven Harry Potter books to help him prepare to enter his new world, and with that he was able to begin preparing for the eventual conflicts to come.

While his memories of his previous life, or perhaps lives, appear to be missing, he sometimes finds himself just understanding things mysteriously, and he's uncertain why.

He decides that after seeing all the Karma he had previously accumulated, that he must have been a good guy in his previous life or lives, so he decides to live his new life his own way and to hell with the script/story he read.

He'll rise to the top of the world, exploit every advantage his system gives him, and surpass both Moldybutt and Dumbledore!
