Flame Drafts - Ryouta is able to create fiery flame drafts on his own.

Trick: Hole Nine Heaven's Door [Ættir] -enables the wielder of the Flame Regalia to perfectly replicate other riders' tricks and roads.
Phoenix wing chop: A technique that temporarily destroys the technique of the enemy
clap of deafness: A technique that as its name suggest. is a clap at a frequency that causes temporary acute deafness. Usually lasting for a few minutes or hours. However, could cause permanent damage if done incorrectly.
phoenix Hadoken spiritual blast: Similar to a phoenix chop it seals a technique...however Ryouta seals a technique.
Copying: He only has to see a technique one time to completely copy it and make it his own. His copying ability doesn't stop there as he copies the technique but plays it with more power and speed than the original. This means that when his opponent makes a move, he can transcend them easily. His ability, of course, knows some barriers, he cannot copy people stronger than himself
Perfect Copy: An extension to his copying ability, Kise can now copy every single move he has ever seen, with the limitations of his original copy no longer applying. The difference to his physical abilities and the abilities of the original user of the skill is neglected and Kise is capable of copying anyone...except for unique techniques

Soul Mirror, Deadly Water - Cherry Blossoms: is a technique which utilizes superior yōkai sake poured into a large sakazuki cup. By blowing across the liquid, blue flames are produced which burn an opponent. These flames seem to spread according to his will, and can engulf multiple victims at once; they can also quickly incinerate low-level Yōkai almost instantly. So long as the water continues to ripple, the flames will continue until the opponent is reduced to ash.

Omni-Communication: can communicate with anything and everything, including people, plants, animals, insects, microbes, the dead, non-living/inorganic matter, inanimate objects, machines, nature, abstract/conceptual forces
Zookinesis: can control animals behavior, they can set stampedes onto attackers, get animals to fetch things. The user can call forth hoards of rats or insects to wipe out a crop, or to encourage bees to replant it.

His attacks are stronger and he seems more flirtatious in this form. when leaving form his body becomes corrupted. The effects are not as bad as before. (No damage chi). He also has a tendency to close his right eye when he in this form.
Matoi Shinki: is able to have access to a shinki even though he isn't a God but there are differences. First Ryouta doesn't own them. They do however have to love Ryouta. two Ryouta the girl has to be sexually aroused to become a shinki.
While in shinki form Ryouta and the girl become one and Ryouta can utilize all their techniques. Also, it isn't limited to spirits any girl could become his shinki!

"Jangan menangisiku. Karena air matamu membebaniku," pinta Zaidan.

"Be-beban?" tanya Hazel tak percaya.

Zaidan memberanikan diri meraih tangan Hazel dan menggenggamnya lembut. "Jangan bergantung padaku. Kamu harus kuat dan percaya diri. Tidak bisakah kamu begitu sehingga aku tidak terlalu khawatir?"

Hazel terisak. "A-aku—"

"Aku ingin memberimu kesempatan. Apapun takdirmu, maupun masa depanmu, aku ingin memberimu kesempatan untuk bahagia. Aku tak ingin mengacaukan hidupmu, jadi berhentilah mencintaiku." Zaidan kembali meminta untuk yang kesekian kalinya.

Kedua tangan Hazel bergetar, menghempaskan tangan Zaidan dalam satu hentakkan. "Aku akan hidup seperti yang kuinginkan, jadi pergilah kalau kau tidak menyukainya. Begitu maksudmu? Kenapa tidak berkata seperti; mari mencoba saling memahami dan  lewati semua ini bersama-sama. Kenapa tidak seperti itu?"

Zaidan menunduk dan menggelengkan kepalanya pelan. "Sebab aku tidak yakin itu akan berhasil." Pria itu kembali mengangkat dagunya lalu tersenyum kecut. "Aku fikir ... mencintaimu adalah kesalahan. Jadi, mari ambil jalan masing-masing dan temukan kebahagiaan masing-masing."

"T-tapi—" gumam Hazel gugup.

"Aku ingin kamu kembali ke kehidupanmu!" pinta Zaidan. Menatap manik mata Hazel, mencoba mengalirkan rasa cinta dari sorot matanya.

"Tidak! hiks." Kali ini Hazel tak mampu lagi menahan tangisnya. Mencekal kedua tangan Zaidan kuat, menangis meraung seakan tak ada hari esok. "Aku ingin hidup denganmu, menjadi tua bersamamu, menggenggam tangan keriputmu, dan mengatakan aku semakin mencintaimu," tutur Hazel. Kembali menggenggam tangan Zaidan dan membasahi dengan air matanya. "I wanted to be happy for once. But—"

"Kelak kita akan bertemu lagi, itu akan menjadi hari terindah," ujar Zaidan sambil mengambil sesuatu dari saku sweater Hazel. Sebuah beanie hat putih yang sempat ia selipkan disana saat Hazel tertidur.

"Be-beanie?" tanya Hazel gugup.

Beanie hat putih milik Zaidan yang sempat ia kenakan dikepala Hazel 18 tahun yang lalu. Benda kecil yang berhasil menjadi saksi jatuhnya kedua hati dalam satu lubang yang sama. Sebuah kain yang sukses menjadi bukti tentang adanya cinta abadi, tak pernah luntur, tak pernah gugur, dan akan selalu tumbuh subur. Dan kali ini mereka mengulangnya lagi. Zaidan baru saja menaruh kedua tangannya diatas kepala Hazel dan mengenakan beanie hat itu diatasnya.

"Aku ingin kamu bahagia lebih lama lagi. Setidaknya dikehidupan sana kamu masih punya kesempatan untuk merubah takdir." Gumam Zaidan bertepatan dengan turunnya air hujan.

Hal yang sama terjadi kembali. Bedanya kali ini mereka memilih untuk tak berteduh. Zaidan masih menahan kedua tangannya dikepala Hazel, menarik ujung beanie hat itu secara perlahan sampai menutupi kedua mata wanitanya. Mendekatkan wajah dan memiringkan rahangnya. Sepasang mata cokelat hazel-nya terpejam, mengembuskan nafas hangatnya tepat didepan wajah Hazel. Kembali menangis tanpa sepengetahuan Hazel. Dan berbisik untuk yang terakhir kalinya. "You always be My Hazel . I'm the only man who has eternal love. And my eternal love ... is you."

Keduanya menangis bersama dibawah rinai hujan. Hazel spontan melingkarkan kedua tangan disekeliling leher Zaidan, sedangkan Zaidan lebih dulu menahan tengkuk Hazel dengan satu tangannya. Ini memang bukan ciuman pertama, bisa dibilang ini adalah ciuman terindah disepanjang hidup mereka. Tanpa seorang pun tahu apakah ciuman ini akan menjadi kenangan terakhir mereka atau tidak. Namun yang pasti, keduanya saat ini melakukannya sangat bersungguh-sungguh. Tak perduli akan mata lain yang  memandang, tak perduli pada langit yang menangisi mereka, juga tak perduli dengan dinginnya air hujan, dan gelapnya angkasa malam.

Keduanya tak bisa berhenti menangis, tak perduli dengan bibir yang terus bertautan. Mereka tetap melakukannya seakan tak ada hari esok, seolah tengah mengukir kenangan untuk yang terakhir kalinya. Dan ini adalah kenangan terindah yang tak bisa mereka lupakan sampai kapanpun. Sekalipun keduanya harus mengalami amnesia, untuk malam ini, tetap akan membekas. Dan kehangatan ini membawa mereka kembali pada memori yang telah berlalu. In a tall building, at the highest floor a man sat on the Sofa as he communicated through a radio….

"What're you doing?"

"I didn't hire you guys for charity work….."

"Hey Zabuza!, are you listening,"

The scene shifts to Zabuza and Haku standing on a boat underneath the bridge…

"He-(y)!" Gato shouts on the radio as Zabuza destroys it with his foot.

"Shall we go…. Haku?"

"Yes!" Haku responded as he looked towards the bridge.

Naruto went over to Sasuke.

"Sasuke, its time for your debut!" He said,

"I have been waiting for this…." Sasuke told as he gripped his fists.


(boom!) a sound was heard followed by a series of punches and kicks.

"w-What the heck is this?!" Tazuna asked as he ran towards the scene.

"What is going on? What happened" Tazuna wondered as he stared at his coworkers beaten to the floor.

Back at Inari's house

Two men with swords showed up at the door as they heard.

"Inari! Give me a hand" Tsunami called out, unaware of the approaching crisis.

"I'll be right there" Inari shouted as he ran towards her.

The two men outside grinned as they gripped their swords.

Back on the bridge, a mist started appearing at a very high-rate. 

"Sasuke! Sakura! Naruto! They are coming!" Kakashi warned, as they got into a defensive formation to protect Tazuna.

Though, as soon as Kakashi spoke, four Zabuza's appeared causing Sasuke to grin.

"I'm trembling with… excitement" He spoke as he disappeared from his spot, following which the clones of Zabuza retired upon getting slashed.

Sasuke reappeared a few metres away, upon which Zabuza commented

"Oh, he could see the water clones, eh"

"Well, well….. It seems my prediction was right on the money…." "That little mask….." Kakashi said as he stared at Haku, while Sasuke thought as he turned towards Naruto.
("Naruto was able to detect them way before Kakashi…..just how strong is he...?")

"So the Elite Shinobi of the hidden mist thing was… a bald faced lie" Tazuna confirmed upon seeing Haku with Zabuza.

"Haku, take this brat on a one-one, but also remember to be careful of the yellow haired kid" Zabuza said.

Haku followed by turning into a whirlwind whizzing past as he went towards Sasuke.

Two swords moved about, destroying the doors as the men entered the house.

Tsunami turned back immediately shocked at their sudden appearance

"Are you Tazuna's daughter?" The man with a beanie asked.
"Sorry. But you're coming with us"...…

(Crash!) "Aaahhhhhh!!!" Tsunami shouted

meanwhile Inari was in the bathroom washing his hands as he heard the two sounds, he immediately rushed over.

"Mom!"

"Don't come out! Get out of here, quick!" Tsunami screamed, fearing for Inari's safety.

"What's with you brat?!" The man with a beanie asked.

"Shall we take him, too?" Another man with an eye patch grinned.

"One hostage is fine" He said causing Inari to become worried

("Hostage....?!")

"Then...Shall we kill him?" The man with eye patch grinned as he pulled his sword apart.

"Wait!" Tsunami commanded causing the man to frown and turned back to face her as he held his sword still.

"If you lay a hand on that child…..I'll bite off my tongue and kill myself!" She threatened the men intent on not having any harm befall Inari.

The man in the beanie frowned, but she continued "You want a hostage, right?…." she asked changing both men's action to her favour as man with eye patch lowered his sword regretting not going ahead.

"Thank your mom, kid" the man with a beanie said as he looked towards Inari.

Inari had tears coming out of his eyes as he stood and watched with fear as the men tied up his mom while he was unable to protect her since he was a young and inexperienced.

"Mom!, I'm sorry…" "I'm so sorry!" Inari said as the men escorted his mother in ropes out.

"I'm weak, so I cant protect you…" Inari continued as he curled onto the floor.

He cried bitterly as he said "I don't want to die… I'm scared!"

Soon after he said those words, his recent memories of Naruto and the conversation with Kakashi flashed by, also remembering the attitude his dad demonstrated which had won him in the first place.

Inari wiped off his tears and stood up

"Can I also become strong?.....Dad!"

Inari stared at the open door finally with clear eyes that had started to brim with fighting spirit.


Outside the house the two men walked along with Tsunami.
The man with eye patch suddenly cut in as he said

"Looking at that beautiful skin of yours makes me want to cut you…."

While the man in the beanie got sick of the action, he then tugged at Tsunami's rope
"Hey… walk faster."


"Wait!" Inari screamed from behind.

"Inari!"

"What? It's just that kid from before…. " the man with eye patch commented finding the turn of events interesting.

"Get…get away from my mom!" Inari shouted again as he started running towards the trio.

"Man… this brat's hopeless….." The man with eye patch sighed."

"Lets do this!" The one with the beanie commanded, no longer bothering about Inari's life or death.

"Aaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!" Inari shouted as he continued running without hesitation.

"If you do that, I'll bite of my tongue and- "
"Shut up and go to sleep" the man with the beanie said and made Tsunami faint since he found her even more irritating at the moment.

Back on the bridge, 

(clang!) a needle and a kunai parried.

Naturally the needle was wielded by Haku and the kunai by Sasuke.

"Oh" Zabuza blurted finding it interesting that Sasuke was able to put up with Haku's speed.

The battle went on with Sasuke and Haku parrying each other.

"I don't want to kill you….." "I'd like for you to back down." Haku asked politely.

"Nonsense…." Sasuke commented.

"Even if you are to keep up with my speed….I've already made two preemptive moves…."

"Two preemptive moves?"

"The first one is the scattered water puddles around you"

"and the second one is me blocking one of your hands right now…."
"Therefore, you'll just be able to defend my attack…."

Haku raised his only free arm as he formed a seal…

"What?! With one hand he's…?!"

Haku continued forming a set of seals, completely surprising everyone, 

"A one handed sign?" "I've never seen such a thing before…" Kakashi said almost having his remaining eye popped out meanwhile Naruto also watched flabbergastedly, ("How have I never witnessed this back when we fought? Even after becoming a Hokage, I never came across records where ninjas could deploy seals only using one hand….") Naruto thought back to the previous time they all fought on the bridge.

Haku formed the last few seals and softly uttered

<Ninja technique - Thousand needles of death!>

Haku kicked the ground, upon which all the scattered water floated around. The water then turned into needles as they all came crashing upon Sasuke.

"Hmph!" Sasuke snorted as he thought back to the technique Naruto had demonstrated.

He kicked the floor of the bridge, bringing about an instantaneous burst of chakra, escaping from all the needles as they stabbed into the ground at the place where he was previously standing.

"He vanished?" Haku turned his head around, only to see Sasuke up in the air as he started throwing shurikens towards him.

Haku performed back summersaults as he kept avoiding the shurikens one by one, while Sasuke smirked landing on the ground and instantly reappeared behind Haku kicking him squarely in the face.

Haku flew back as he landed on the ground with a thud causing Zabuza's face to twist

"To think Haku would lose in terms of speed" He murmured as he looked towards Sasuke.

"It seems that I'm faster than you…." Sasuke said with a mocking tone.

Kakashi proud on Sasuke having won the battle of speed he said "I can't have you mocking our team calling them brats…." "He may not look it but Sasuke is the number two rookie in the village hidden in the leaves."

"and as you already know Naruto here is the number one rookie and hyperactive knucklehead ninja, while Sakura is the one with the biggest forehead….."

Sakura stared at Kakashi weirdly ("Biggest forehead? Do you have a death wish, you probably have something even more embarrassing, that's why you have covered up your entire face") she thought while glaring at him.

The heat that the battle generated, caused no one to pay attention to Naruto.

Naruto scratched his head, as he felt something did not add up,

He thought back to how he and Inari had become friends and realized, 

("This is bad, I completely forgot about those two....I hope I can make it there in time, Let's just hope this test run works")

Naruto thought as he created a clone, the clone nodded back to him  as it executed

Labeled as a delinquent and bad influence, high school student Kyosei Ichinose choose to stay out of the people around him, indulge himself to his headphones, pick fights against other people and stay alone.

One day, everything is normal until the world is now in turmoil after the appearance of a mysterious disease that turns humans into mindless cannibals, infecting humans all around the country in an alarming state.

After receiving a distressed message from his former friend, he reluctantly returned only to find the school overrun by the dead. Armed with his house keys, a revolver and a duffel bag containing a few items to aid the rescue, he returned to the school without knowing why he still need to rescue a former friend.

A teenager could be seen hidden behind the shadows as he trailed a middle aged man stealthily. He took out a file to confirm on identity of that man. A photo of Mr. Hendrix can be seen on top corner along with his bio-data, daily routine and his movement habits. So far everything he had observed from the middle aged man seemed to match perfectly as written in the folder.

"Target confirmed. Awaiting orders…" he spoke into his earpiece.

"Proceed with the plan…" a husky voice replied.

He removed the earpiece and kept it in his pocket along with the pair of gloves he was just wearing. In order to cover up his distinguished appearance, he put on a beanie and a scarf covering his face altogether revealing only his eyes. Slowly he walked towards the unsuspecting man. He took out a fifty dollar note and started dashing towards him.

"Hey Sir, please wait a moment!" he shouted towards the man supposedly called Hendrix.

The man turned around and looked at the boy fully covered up, puzzled why did he shouted at him. He was dressed rather poorly with some parts of his clothes being patched up rather crudely. A few seconds later the youth stood in front of him, trying to catch his breath before continue speaking.

"Sir, I think you dropped this." he held out a fifty dollar note.

Hendrix looked at him suspiciously as he clearly recalled that it was almost not possible for him to drop any money on the floor. He always had an Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder which made him very particular on handling his things. Nevertheless he gave the boy a warm smile.

"Thank you, lad. You can keep it as your reward for being so honest…"

"But sir, my mother always said that we must not take other people's things…"

"I am gifting this to you for being so polite and well-mannered, I'm sure your mother will not mind. Have a pleasant evening young lad..." Hendrix smiled again.

Before he could turn away, the boy quickly ran over to him and grabbed his hands. Thanking him before joyfully heading off the opposite side with the fifty dollar at hand. He quickly ran off into a dark alley and the moment he was out of sight, the boy took out his earpiece again and spoke into it.

"It is done."

"Good, leave the area and remove all tracks before heading back…" the husky voice responded.

He started walking towards a nearby slums. Quickly took off all his scruffy looking clothes, beanie and scarf revealing beautiful silver hair and rather luxurious outfit underneath it. Those worn-out clothes were thrown into one of the fire-pits those less fortunate people were relying to keep themselves warm at night. He watched as those attire finish burning before leaving and disappearing behind a dark alley.

Once the boy was nowhere to be seen, he took out a bottle of disinfectant and rubbed some on his hands where the teenage boy had touched him. While he was cleaning up his hands and reviewing the entire ordeal. 

While it was very dark, even though the boy was completely covered he recalled seeing a strand of silver hair slipping out under his beanie. 

'Could it be…I must be overthinking things…' Hendrix thought to himself before shaking his head and left.

He proceeded to head home, however he felt odd ever since the teenager touched his hands. He felt as though something within him was missing but couldn't really tell.

'I might be just too stressed out and overthinking things…' he though and pushed those uncomfortable feelings aside.

It was starting to drizzle and from subtle sounds of thunder, a storm might be arriving soon. He quickened his pace and headed off. All of a sudden, the rain started pouring very heavily and he was soon completely drenched. A child accidentally dropped his ball while running to take cover and it rolled towards the man as he was running for shelter. Due to poor visibility, he didn't notice the rolling ball and accidentally stepped on it.

He tripped and fell flat on his face on the main road next to the path-walk. A pair of bright lights suddenly blinded his eyes followed tyre screeching sounds...

Ever since the barbeque day, Vinnie glued on Tobias as long as he could whenever Tobias was with Mavis. He would walk with Tobias to his college and wait for him so he could leave together with him, and whenever Tobias was with Mavis outside the college, he would follow them. It was as if he was protecting Tobias from a venomous snake. Even though Mavis didn't mind it, Tobias was having headaches. He didn't know what was going on with his friend. When he asked, Vinnie would just shrug and say he was looking out for him but it only made him confused. It wasn't possible for Mavis to be a threat; she was so shy and quiet, what could she even do? 

Nevertheless, Tobias gave up and just let him be. Besides, he thought it was a good idea, maybe Vinnie would hate women less once he spends more time with Mavis. Even if it was just a tiny bit.

Mavis had gone to buy drinks for them and Tobias was now sitting alone with Vinnie at the park.

"Vinnie, what do you think about Mavis? Isn't she cute? She's very shy, more than I first thought. But she's a good girl, even if she's lacking academically," Tobias spoke. He wanted to know his close friend's thoughts.

Vinnie responded honestly, "I don't like her a bit. She can't be with you. You have already so much on your plate. Having her by your side, she will surely wear you out and I can't let that happen."

Although Tobias didn't exactly understand how Vinnie perceives Mavis, he laughed and said, "So you don't hate her?"

Vinnie frowned and corrected him, "She hasn't done anything to you yet. But once she has, I will hate her."

'This fella and his tongue…' Tobias felt helpless. On one hand, he was happy that Vinnie cared for him, and on the other hand, Vinnie's impression of Mavis was bad and he didn't know how to react to it. Vinnie probably thought in that way because of his antagonism towards women in general. In that aspect, there wasn't much he could do about it. He only patted his head. Vinnie closed his eyes in response.

While they had their moment, Mavis was currently facing something serious. At some point, the unknown men had stood outside the café, and there were a couple of armed men inside. The leader, Mavis presumed the man in the middle was, leisurely walked around while the innocent people froze on their spot in fear and confusion.

"Which one of you is Young Lady Alvera?" the leader finally spoke.

'Young Lady Alvera? What is this, a real-life drama?' Mavis calmly observed the situation.

Seeing that no one responded to him, the leader didn't mind and laughed. "All right, I see how it is. Well, if Young Lady Alvera doesn't come forward, we will shoot an innocent person. You wouldn't want that to happen, right?"

His voice was light and carefree, opposite of the words that came out of his mouth. Everyone was scared and wanted to escape but they didn't dare to make a sound. Mavis subtly eyed the surroundings and noticed a certain girl sitting not so far from her.

Her hair was blonde and she wore a cute pink beanie. What caught her eye was that she refused to look at the men, only staring down at her shaking hands on the table. There wasn't anything special about her that made her stand out and she wasn't the only one who didn't dare to look at the dangerous men. But still, Mavis thought she was more affected.

'Oh, maybe she's the young lady? She looks young…' 

No one came forward but the leader wasn't in a rush. "A runaway young lady who changed her appearance to avoid trouble. What would your family think once they know that not only did you run away from home out of spite but also caused someone's death? You're so young yet you are causing so much misery." He smiled and continued, "Then how about this? If you don't show up, someone will be killed every five minutes. This time, I'm serious."

Some people gasped at his words and most of them trembled in fear; they didn't want to die. Mavis looked at the beanie girl and couldn't help but raise her eyebrows in understanding when she saw how the girl reacted heavily. She had shut her eyes and held her hand with the other to stop the shaking.

'I bet that girl is the one that they want! Who wants to bet with me?' It was a pity nobody could hear her thoughts and join the bet.

Perhaps it was because Mavis moved her eyes too much and her action was suspicious, the leader looked at her before signalling one of the men to stand beside her. The leader walked up to her with a smile.

"Young Lady Alvera? I must say, you're quite stubborn. But fortunately, we got you before five minutes has passed."

Mavis only stared at him blankly. It felt like it took several minutes for her to process those words. She was beyond speechless at her current situation. What in the world made them think she was the one they wanted? Look at how confident they look! But clearly they have mistaken and were wrong.

She opened her mouth to correct them but then she paused and thought: 'Isn't this good? They probably want to take Young Lady Alvera as a hostage to demand money from her family and once they find out they got the wrong person, they will kill me. Then, won't my wish finally come true?'

Upon hearing those words from the leader, the girl with the beanie immediately looked up with wide eyes. Although she was afraid and didn't want to be captured, she didn't want someone to suffer in her place. Just as she mustered up her courage to stand up and yield, she saw the girl the men had mistaken for her got up from the chair. 

"Okay, I will follow you."

The girl with the beanie was shocked and panicky, she didn't know what the wrong girl was thinking. How could she be so calm and be willing to follow him even though she knew she wasn't the one they were looking for? This was absolutely insane!

The truth was: Mavis wanted to pee her pants. She didn't fear death but it didn't mean she was a courageous person. She was scared shitless; the men were tall and strong, even armed, they looked intimidating. However, she didn't have the guts to pee her pants so she could only act calm and collected.

'Hurry up and kill me, you guys look scary when you're so close to me,' she complained inwardly. Even after all her talk about wanting to be taken for ransom, it was easier said than done. The process was a bit frightening. She only wanted the end result, which was getting killed. 

Then something dawned upon her.

'They won't... torture me, right…?'

Ah, it was too risky, she shouldn't have opened her mouth. She still had other options available to choose to achieve her goal, and this one was the riskiest. Whatever, she would just make them give her a quick death if it was necessary.

And so, she was silently taken away by the unknown people and left the café to an unknown place without making a fuss. The true target only stared at the front door with complicated feelings, not moving from her spot. 

Not long after, two people entered the café.

"Do me a favour and kill me."

"No."

All she wanted was to die at the hands of someone else's, anyone's but her own. Whether it was on accident or intentional, it didn't matter. No matter how many times she asked for death like beggars asking for money, people would do the exact opposite, taking it as a joke.

Never would she commit suicide, that was something she would never do to herself. Instead, she would let someone kill her.

She wasn't suicidal, she never hurt herself on purpose. It was only... If she had the chance to be killed by someone, she would welcome it with open arms.

But...

Why did he always reject her even after she tried everything she could to make him kill her? It was such a simple task to execute; just aim the gun at her head and pull the trigger and then...

BANG!

Her = Dead.

"Growlithe, ember," Vex yelled as he continued running, pointing at a target. Sweat poured down his bare back as he continue to jog long laps around the clearing. Growlithe responded by shooting red hot flakes of fire straight at the target Vex pointed at, hitting it almost dead center.

It was around 9 in the morning and the sun was now high in the sky, sending down waves of heat as Vex and his two pokemon continued the training schedule he had been planning out in his head. The first part of the training session was a simple one, running laps, with a little twist to it. Before starting the runnning Vex had asked the girls to carve out X's into some of the trees nearby, creating a makeshift target for his pokemon to hit. The running wasn't a problem for Vex, but nailing the time for issuing commands to his pokemon was definitely something he had trouble with. 

This was only the first part if the training that he had planned, meant for him and Growlithe. The next part was something that he had recently thought of to increase Pikachu's agility and reflexes. Of course if he wanted to train Pikachu, he had to get through the first session that had been going on for nearly two hours. Vex had been running for so long that he had to take off his sweat soaked shirt because it was bothering him, leaving his skin at the mercy of the sun.

"Woo, keep it up Vex, get yourself in shape!" Yelled Beatrice as she rummaged through Vex's bag in search of food. Sh eventually pulled out the container of rice and a fork, ready for her morning meal. 

"Why does he even have to get in shape?" Misty asked as she watched him stsrt yet another lap. "One doesn't need to be in shape to become a Pokemon master, only a connection with other pokemon and the skills as a trainer." 

"Well, maybe he just wants to look good for us," Beatrice replied as she swallowed a mouthful of rice. "Guys typically want to look nice for the girls he likes. To be honest, I do love a man with a bit of muscle on him."


"Could you both shut up," Vex snapped, his breathing rather ragged as he kept on running, now starting his 37th lap. "I'm sure as hell not trying to look good for the two of you girls. I like women with better personalities and the two of you don't fit the bill." The amazong part of this was how he was able to say all of this when his breathing was so irregular.

Vex wasn't training with his own Pokemon for the hell of it, but rather because he wanted nothing more then to be able to kick ass. In this world, Pokemon may have been a means to battle others, but in Vex's world, strength of one's own body and mind always earned one more respect then anything else. He guessed that most people in this world didn't handle anything with their fists and that gave him a distinct advantage if he could raise his strength and his stamina up. However he had to be careful or he would risk overexerting himself and do more harm then good.

"You don't have to be so rude," Misty murmured as she pet Pikachu's head as it sat in her lap. Pikachu wasnt needed in the exercise just yet so Vex assigned Pikachu to be a lookout and let him know if any trainers arrived. "I know you dont like me already but you could at least try and act like you care just a little."

Vex laughed a little before slowing down to a full stop, his eyes gazing at Misty before drifting over to Pikachu who appeared to be napping. "Oi, werent you supposed to be keeping watch for trainers." He picked up a nearby rock and chucked it, intentionally missing Pikachu and hitting Misty instead, who jumped up and dropped Pikachu from her lap. 

Pikachu snapped awake the moment it was dropped and landed safely on the ground, clearly offended by having been so rudely woken up. It looked over at Vex, shifting the blame over to Vex, blame that was actually correctly pointed at him.

"Its time to train Pikachu so you have to get your lazy butt up. Growlithe, use tackle on Pikachu, give it all you got." Vex grinned over at the small mouse before shrugging. "Pikachu, your job is to avoid whatever attack Growlithe throws at you, but your not allowed to fight back."

Growlithe clawed the ground before pushing off and rushing straight at Pikachu, clearly giving it all he had. Pikachu however easily dodged it by jumping to the side, escaping by a hairs breadth. Growlithe however didn't give Pikachu a chance to think as it tried to tackle him once again. This kept up for a couple of minutes, with Growlithe attacking over and over again, Pikachu dodging constantly and always barely succeeding. However, during one of its attempts to dodge, Pikachu slipped up and instead of dodging, it was thrown backwards by a fullbody tackle from Growlithe.

The strangest thing happened though when Pikachu got knocked back, and that was a sudden pain hitting Vex hard in the stomach, completely knocking the wind out of him. Bending over, Vex coughed twice before the pain eventually subsided, but the question was still there.....what in the hell had caused it?

"Pikachu, Growlithe....take a quick break to recover your stamina. After that we'll get back to physical training and speed training." Vex rubbed his gut before turning around and walking back to the girls together with his pokemon. He truthfully no longer felt like training, but he wasn't about to tell the girls that or they would see him as weak.


Vex's mind was now in turmoil, completely confused. The pain in his gut had happened just as Pikachu had been hit, and it had probably been around the same place. He wasn't stupid and could easily put the two together, no longer believing in coincidences. However this brought up another question, why was their pain interconnected? 

It would be all too easy to blame the lightning strike for this phenomenon, but at this point Vex felt that it was something bigger. Beatrice had been brought here by the lightning strike and she reported that she didn't have any special powers, abilities, or abnomalities. Yet here he was with not only the ability to talk to creatures known as Pokemon but also feel the pain of his pokemon partner Pikachu. 

There were three possibilities running through Vex's mind. The first one was that the mysterious lightning strike had given him his abnormal abilities, this seemed to be the simplest conclusion and answered more questions then it raised. The second one was that he had always had these abilities and the lightning strike had simply awakened them when he was transported to this world, but this was rather unlikely. The final one was that someone or something had GIVEN him his powers upon entering this mysterious realm. This one was the one that raised the most questions however, like who sent him here, why did they give him powers and not others, what did they hope to accomplish by sending him here?  

All of this ran through Vex's minds as he neared the girls, his brain mulling over each idea at rapid speeds, but gave up after each one kept raising questions. If he shared pain with Pikachu then he wouldld simply have to train Pikachu harder to dodge better and counterattack with pinpoint accuracy. As far as he was concerned, if there wasnt pain involved then it wasnt real training.

"Okay, so we have snacks over here," Misty said as she dug through a bag, tossing Vex's beanie onto the ground. She kept rummaging until she found pokemon food near the bottom of the bag.

"Hey," Vex said in protest as he walked over and snatched the bag out of her hands. "Learn to ask before you touch. Also dont treat my beanie with such disrepect, its the only one I have!!" He knelt down and picked up his cap, dusting the dirt off its black surface. 

"Why do you even wear that?" Beatrice asked as she crossed her legs while sitting on the ground. "I think your white hair looks nice and fluffy, you should keep it off, it makes you look handsome."

"I would take that as a compliment except that I kinda dont like you as of yet." Vex said as he put on his beanie and readjusted it. "My hair had always gotten me picked on back in elementary school until I put on this very same beanie and became average, just one of the crowd. This beanie has been with me for years and its very important to me. Only people who I deem worthy are allowed to wear it, or even hold it for that matter. So keep your hands off."

"I didnt ask for your life story," Beatrice responded bitterly as she looked away, flipping her hair over her shoulder. "You should learn to just take a compliment when its given instead of running off at the mouth." 

Vex decided to ignore her completely as he took the pokemon food from Misty and took off the cap. Digging around for an empty bowl and finding two dark grey ones, Vex fillled it up with the pokemon food. After he finished, he took out a small container and placed it on ground, filling it up with water from his large canteen.


"Wow, you really know how to take care of Pokemon," Misty muttered as she watched Vex work, clearly impressed. 

"Your kidding right?" Vex asked with a small laugh. "This is nothing compared to thebworld I come from. You have no idea what it's likento take care of two really big Alaskan huskies."

"Whats a husky?" asked Misty, ignoring his remark about being from another world. It was clear that she still wasn't ready to accept it.

"You saw Vex's fluffy hair right?" Beatrice asked Misty. Misty nodded and Beatrice continued," Well imagine that creature you call a Growlithe with that kind of hair, but completely white and black and a much larger. Thats a husky."

Vex nodded after picturing it in his head. "Thats actually a pretty good description Beatrice, good job." Beatrice smiled at him, and Vex looked away and stood up. "I'm going to go look for a nearby spring to wash up in, dont wait up."

With those words, Vex headed off into the woods, with Pikachu deciding to follow close behind him.

Vex Masters was just a regular high school student. Nothing really special to tell about him, he was just an average kid with no particular talent or any kind of hobbies. He didnt excel in sports or have any kind of interests that made him stand out, so it didn't cause too much of stir when he suddenly died from a lighting strike.

However, instead of being dead like he thought, it seems Vex had been transported into a mysterious world, one that made no sense and contained strange monsters called Pokemon. This is the story of Vex Masters and his journey to become the next Pokemon Master.

Two days later, at the edge of the Dragon Snake Space Zone, where Firefly was docked…
A thousand years ago, in the last years of the Star Ocean Republic, Firefly's antecedent had been the exploration starship of the latest generation.
At that time, the Cultivators of the republic had high hopes for the experimental starship. They had stuffed all the magical equipment of the Star Ocean Imperium, the primeval technologies excavated from relics, and the hope of all the people into the body of the starship that was as round as a whale.
The experimental starship was supposed to have carried out the greatest mission ever. It would set off from the heartland of the civilization of mankind and explore the corners of the universe in search for the worlds lost in the Armageddon Rebellion, which caused the collapse of the Star Ocean Imperium, so that they could rejoin the big family of the Star Ocean Republic and build an even more brilliant, glorious civilization of mankind together!
When the behemothic body of Firefly slid out of the dock in space for the first time, and the ninety-nine engine units in a rhombic distribution emitted the most dazzling blue light at the same time, none of the joyful, cheering Cultivators of the republic, however adept they were at deduction and calculation, could have foreseen the absurd fate of the experimental starship in the future.
The very first official voyage of Firefly was not for exploration and discovery but for hiding and running.
In the long thousand years, Firefly had discovered a lot of Sectors with the powerful probe magical equipment on board at first and received the support of the Cultivators in those worlds.
Countless Cultivators who were unwilling to bend to the rule of the Imperium had carried all their belongings, techniques, and magical equipment into their own starships that were in a myriad of different styles. Then, after simple technical modification, those tiny starships were connected to the main body of Firefly, like the barnacles that were attached to a big ship or a shoal of fish that were swimming together with a blue whale.
The advanced space jump matrix on Firefly could release a special protective membrane that prevented collisions, which should have been very likely when two starships performed a space jump close to each other.
Such a technology enabled the possibility of a hundred starships jumping simultaneously when they were stuck together closely. It also constructed the basic form of Firefly in the hundreds of years that followed.
In its prime, centered around Firefly, almost six hundred starships constituted an enormous group of refugees, with a population of more than five hundred million.
But the good days did not last long. The corpulent structure and the redundant internal control system greatly lowered the combat ability of Firefly. After a few soul-stirring battles, although they luckily escaped from the blockade of the Imperium, the number of starships that made up 'Corporate Firefly' was reduced from more than six hundred to less than three hundred, most of which were empty iron coffins that had lost all the impetus and only managed to stay in the group by the pulling force. The population on board had also plummeted by eighty percent. The society was on the brink of collapse.
Before encountering the Star Glory Federation, Firefly was like a whale that had half rotten. It was drifting with the current in the sea of stars and could not throw away any 'iron coffins' despite knowing that its body was slowly decaying, because in the universe with few available resources, a lot of useful garbage could be dismantled from the scrap starships even if they were already total losses. That way, they could manage to catch their breath for a while longer.
For Firefly and the 'rightful government' of the Star Ocean Republic at that time, what else could they have hoped for except to catch their breath?
Such a starship, or rather, a 'heap' of starships, which had become riddled with holes and rust, certainly required a protracted and arduous project to be maintained. The difficulty and the consumption were no less than to reproduce hundreds of starships.
Thankfully, to a 'bumpkin' living at the edge of the cosmos like the Star Glory Federation, Firefly, being from the center of the cosmos, finally had certain reserved assets that had not been entirely wasted yet.
The government-in-exile exchanged the extraordinary techniques and secret arts from the center of the cosmos for tremendous resources from the Star Glory Federation. Then, a whole area of docks and floating maintenance bases were established in the periphery of the Dragon Snake Space Zone, and the heated maintenance work began.
The government-in-exile even purchased a batch of starships from the Star Glory Federation and connected them to the main body of Firefly after preliminary modification in order to increase the activity zone and improve their quality of life. After all, in space where there was zero gravity and friction, however bizarre-looking those starships were, they would not hinder Firefly's cruising ability.
Therefore, if one looked from the carriers that were shipping resources, Firefly—which was illuminated by the crimson flames of the red giant—did not look like one firefly but an amalgamation of hundreds of fireflies that were surrounded by circular rails, docks, floating ports, and maintenance bases.
Hundreds of carriers were shipping assets to them incessantly. Thousands of times more maintainers were working diligently in the cold vacuum outside of Firefly in their crystal suits, like a group of ants that were struggling hard in the sea of stars.
A seemingly plain carrier without any marks on the shell passed through a circular orbit dock and a starship that had been declared a total loss a long time ago and was ready to be completely dismantled. It then slowly approached the main body of Firefly.
The universal exploration starship had been utterly deformed. Hundreds of communication tubes had been connected to its shell, linking it closely with the other starships around and making it look like a heart from which countless veins and artilleries were extending.
The carrier moved unhurriedly. It entered the inside of Firefly. Countless close-distance defense cannons turned swiftly in various directions. Invisible identification rays were brushing past the newcomer now and then. A hundred fully armed Exos were also floating in the vacuum. The crystal cannons on their shoulders had been unsealed, and starry brilliance was flashing at the end of the barrel. Behind the cold masks of the Exos, sharp eyes seemed to be gazing at the carrier without blinking.
The carrier slid into a secret dock when it was several kilometers away from the 'heart' of Firefly.

The enormous, airtight gate was slowly closed, like an iron giant that had gritted its teeth.
Inside the dock were hundreds of fully armed Exos who were highly vigilant.
They were all the secret police of the Internal Affairs Division of the government-in-exile, who were there to pick up a batch of special 'goods'.
The cabin door at the tail of the carrier was opened, revealing a ladder and a driving belt for cargos.
Part of the members of the 'Election Observation Delegation' were moved down. Some other people, who were deemed more dangerous 'traitors', had been loaded into special confining cases and delivered by the driving belt for cargo.
Few people there did not wear a crystal suit.
They included a middle-aged woman in a black coat. Her face suggested that she was a rigorous person. Her left eye was missing and replaced by three crimson crystal cameras.
She was Cheng Xuansu, the leader of the special investigators of the Internal Affairs Division in the government-in-exile, as well as the commander of the arrest operation.
"Wait!"
When most of the prisoners were escorted to the internal shuttles in the starship and ready to be delivered to the secret jail, Cheng Xuansu suddenly bellowed. The crystal cameras that had been installed on the same round pedestal rotated slowly, releasing bright redness, as she looked at a prisoner who was locked inside a confining box.
It was… Tang Xiaoxing!
"Leader!"
The secret police who were escorting Tang Xiaoxing stood at attention.
Observing Tang Xiaoxing who had fallen asleep carefully, Cheng Xuansu asked, "Repeat the whole process of your arrest exactly as it happened. Such a strengthless refiner escaped from your hands twice?"
"Yes." An officer hesitated for a moment and said, "The first time, we attempted to knock her out with a 'stunning cannonball' in order to capture her, but she was not affected by the stunning cannonball and quietly slipped away. She even set up traps and heavily wounded six of our teammates. The second time, we had already captured her, but a mysterious tactical squad marched out of nowhere and rescued her again. The officer shivered and breathed hard. "Got it. I'll immediately prepare a sterile room!"
Half an hour later, Cheng Xuansu walked out of the sterile room with a tiny glass jar in her hand. Inside the glass jar lay a scarlet ball that was similar to the color of the skin.
"This is—"
The secret police who were responsible for capturing and escorting Tang Xiaoxing began sweating hard.
"An anti-tracking specialist must be a tracking specialist. How can you not understand such simple logic?"
Frowning, Cheng Xuansu looked at her subordinates.
"I have carefully studied the operation report that you sent back yesterday. The guy who was with Tang Xiaoxing in the beginning was obviously a real expert. The team that ambushed you later was made of well-trained specialists, too. Do you really think that they would give Tang Xiaoxing away so easily when they already had her?"


“Even if this universe is truly nothing more than a brutal, bloody, shadowy forest, we Cultivators will burn all that we have just to give off a single weak flickering spark in the darkness! 
“No matter how weak each spark is, how short-lived, how small… As long as the sparks flow unabated, then one day one of those sparks will light some tinder, and that tinder shall light some fallen branches, and those branches shall set ablaze each and every last tree of the forest!
