Mason decided that even if Elizabeth was still mad at him for no random reason, she wouldn't go as far as to make a trap for him. That's what Mason was thinking in his head but when he repeated the sentence a few more times, he was convinced that this was a trap. 

When a smart person hunts, they put food that they know the person is into and the moment they go for it, it's their last thing they remember. Elizabeth was a smart person, that's what Mason could conclude after meeting her for just a day.

Elizabeth turned around and saw that Mason was making a weird face. "Sorry about that. It smells weird because of the sauce I dipped it in. I didn't realize that the sauce was an exotic brand from Asia. It said barbecue sauce so naturally I thought to use it for the patty. My bad.

If I had knew that the sauce would smell like death then I would have send more time in the store to find a regular brand." 

Then it hit him. He was thinking too deeply in something that wasn't complex in the first place. Mason was about to start devouring the hamburger when something kicked his stomach. His sister was trying to trick him into thinking that it was the sauce and not the poison, or at least that's what he imagined she was trying to do.

Mason was being pulled into 2 conflicting directions. This happened because his sister, Elizabeth was still a stranger to him. He didn't have any memories about her so he didn't know if he could trust her words or not.

Mason sat down and stared at the hamburger as if it would tell him whether or it not it would kill him. The hamburger looked so good that he was sort of hesitant to eat it but it was so smelly that it was tempting him to throw it away.

After playing a game of eeny, meeny, miny, moe, he came to a tough decision.

Mason was going to eat the hamburger despite the smell. He picked the whole hamburger up with the softest touch in order to keep the perfect look it had. The moment the looks get destroyed, Mason knew that he wouldn't have anymore reason to eat it.

He looked at the roof while closing his eyes. He wanted divine protection from the monster known as Elizabeth's hamburger. He looked at the hamburger one more time before taking a big bite.

For a moment there was silence because Mason had no reactions.

However only Mason knew what was happening. The patty exploded in his mouth and the juice flooded his mouth. The juice wasn't greasy and the disgusting type of juice that cheap patties had. It was sort of sweet and it simulated the taste buds in a way that it felt like his tongue was receiving a massage.

The taste of the actually patty was even better than the juice. It didn't have any hint of raw meat. It was juicy and it was easy to chew. It was the perfect combination of softness and firmness. It wasn't soggy nor was it rough to chew on.

The buns were soft and came off exactly where he bit on. There was no resistance from the buns nor from the patty.

The buns also had sesame seeds inside them which further pushed the deliciousness of the hamburger because the sounds and the feeling the seeds gave was an amazing addition to the hamburger.

'I hope that whoever is writing my story doesn't get too into this hamburger situation. If he does then it'll be just like a useless filler in Naruto.'  Mason finished his hamburger and he saw that Elizabeth had 2 more. They were for her and mother.

Mason asked Elizabeth, "Do you where mom is?" He grabbed his plate and washed it a little before putting it in the dishwasher. 

"She's in her room. She told me to tell you that your appointment is at 11 so you have around 3 hours to do whatever. Just don't go outside." Elizabeth said as she took out two plates and laid them down onto the table.

"Shouldn't I go to the emergency? I feel that this is an emergency type of thing." Mason couldn't wrap his hands around why his mother decide to get him an appointment rather than go to the emergency. It wasn't that he had trust issues with his mother, it's just that his mother always took him to the emergency when he was sick, even if it wasn't serious.

"She was going to but I convinced that it was better to give you time to prepare."

Mason looked at his sister and was confused. He didn't know how she felt about him. If she cared for him or if she wanted him to suffer. This was the hardest question to answer because it was his sister but it was also a stranger.

He opened up the kitchen door and walked out without saying anything or even taking a breath. He went back into his bedroom and jumped onto it again. To Mason, it felt like he's been in the bedroom for more than 90% of the time since the world has changed.

Mason opened up his phone and searched up novel updates on Google to see if the website was still there and it was. It seemed that every company from the old Earth still existed and that the only that changed was things that related to the being a celebrity such as movies, songs, and such.

Mason went onto the most popular light novels and he saw that many of the old light novels from the old world disappeared and what replaced it was unoriginal light novels. There was one called King of Hollywood where the main character's wish was granted and that he was now in a world where everything related to celebrities became worse.

This book seemed so familiar but yet he couldn't put his finger on it. He decided that it didn't matter. It was just a single light novel anyone. He didn't care about it and he imagined that anyone who read it wouldn't care for it either after a while.

Mason sat up and he decided to see what was really in his collection of clothes. He got up and the first closet he went to was his amazing collection of shoes. He opened it up and it was like gold to him now that he was taking the time to appreciate it.

There was two rows of shoes with five shelves on each side. He looked around for a bit and noticed that the shoes was organized by the brand and by the year the shoes came out. He stayed in the closet for about 10 minutes when he saw something as he was about to leave.

The wall in the closet looked weirdly out of place as if it could be pushed open. Mason didn't want to believe it. He walked up to it and pushed on it.

The wall slowly budged the more strength Mason put in. He used up all of his strength and yet, the door was barely opened. He was tired and wanted to rest so he put his hand against the wall and took some deep breathes.

As his heartbeat slowed down and slowly returned back to normal, he heard noises coming from the wall. It was making the sounds that automatic doors from the old movies used.

The door opened up and Mason finally saw what was behind the wall. If his shoe collections was amazing already, this definitely made it so. The room behind the closet was 2 times larger and 3 times wider than the normal closet itself. The shelves where the shoes were at was also a lot taller.

Mason looked around and saw many limited edition shoes. There was shoes that was from the 80's. There was a pair of shoes that costed 50,000 dollars. There was even an Jordan 4 Retro Eminem Encore. It seemed like the only things that changed was the celebrities and the their works but when it came to products and companies, they still managed to exist despite the celebrities never creating them.

Mason looked around and the more he did, the more confused he got.

For the first time since he came into the new world, Mason was actually mad. He screamed with all of his lung capacity, "Why the fuck do I live in a basement?"

Mason Cohen, a regular boy with a regular name. He was a regular millennial that followed regular news about the media. Only thing different was that he was also a fan of light novels.

That was him 4 years ago. Mason was now the highest paid actor in Hollywood and the owner of the biggest company in the world. He also took the spot of number 1 song in the world.

The change in his life was sudden and was so fast that Hollywood couldn't keep up.

And it was all thanks to a shooting star.

"I have no money on me." I mouthed. My heart was beating fast against my chest. I didn't know how she would take this new found information but I had no choice but to tell her. Sadly,  I was starting to run out of options in my life.

"You think I don't know that. I know you don't. Even if you did have on you, it definitely will not be enough to buy food here." She smiled. I narrowed my eyes at her and smiled back. I felt a bit insulted but I chose to ignore how I felt. It was not as if she lied and besides I did appreciate that she voiced out how she felt. Over the years I have come to appreciate those who say things as they felt it and didn't mince words or try to sugar coat things. At least with people like that you know what you are dealing with. To me these class of people will always be better than those who hide their real thoughts smile in front of you and say behind you what they are supposed to say to you. Why sugar coat bitter leaf when it can be presented, washed and eaten. After all it is more medicinal.

"I'll get food for the both of us but you have to make the order with me. I really won't want to get you something you won't like." Elizabeth said standing up. I did too.

" It's Alright. I'll come with you." 

She linked her hands with mine and smiled. Such gesture would have been awkward had I not been in a situation where I was practically afraid to walk alone. I wished I was invisible but since I couldn't get that having a hand to carry be through my fears was greatly appreciated.

We both walked to the counter and I was aware of the people watching us. Maybe she was too, maybe she wasn't. Even if she was she belonged here so she probably didn't care as much as I did.

Elizabeth ordered salad, chicken and plantain. And I ordered same with Rice. The bill was over three thousand and I was stupefied.

It will be enough for my family to eat in three days but she seemed to give out all that money without a single care. She acted like it was something she did everyday and I felt a pang of guilt and jealousy at it.

I wished that it was so easy for my family to spend like this. And I felt guilty that while I was eating like a king my brothers were probably hungry. I started to feel sad. In fact I didn't notice that I was now sitting with a spoon in my hand until Elizabeth spoke startling me.

"So tell me about your former school?" Elizabeth asked, looking genuinely interested. 

She took her time to eat, while I was already half way through my food without even knowing, she was just starting. The fact that she talked more than I did was probably an additional factor to her slowness.

I couldn't even remember our earlier conversations or what I replied her in them. I was really getting lost in my thoughts too much as of late.

I cleared my throat.

"Is there anything to say about it. Hmmm." I hummed placing my pointer finger on my chin thoughtfully. "It's just a government school. Nothing much. The school for the poor If I should put it that way."

She laughed. "The segregation of life. The rich for the rich and the poor for the poor."

"Sadly. Do you know what is most sad? That the movies and the novels make it look like they can be together." I scoffed shaking my head.

She laughed." The illusions right. It makes one want to live. Without these illusions and the hope novels and movies give one may simply just want to die."

Her face contorted like she was thinking about the deeper meanings of life. I was about to ask her what she was thinking about when the same group of hot boys walked into the canteen and all head turned to them including hers and mine.

I looked away immediately. I wasn't about to join the bandwagons in fueling their already fueled ego. They didn't need it neither did I. They were handsome yes but they were bullies also and the Lord knows how much I hate bullies.

They stood at the door observing everyone and everything like they were expecting an attack. All four of them handsome and sleek as sin.

Then one of them started walking towards our seat and my heart beat increased drastically. I was also starting to get sweaty.

She wanted him, he wanted her. But they were both oblivious of their feelings for each other so they dated others until they found love and good sex.

Being surrounded by the heavily built old men, Will's legs started to turn to jelly.

He's not even a match for a child!

"What the f*ck!"

At this moment, Will's mind went blank.

He hasn't gotten into a fight before!

How could he be calm at this moment!?

Thankfully the potion he made helped his mind a lot, so before the heavily built old men could move one step closer, he thought of many things.

He could only think of one thing though, which was.

RUN!

'Why does my luck have to be so bad!?'

Turning around, Will took off running as fast as he could.

His actions surprised the heavily built old men, whom, after a moment of hesitation charged towards Will like stampeding elephants.

The dust from the dirt billowed upwards making a dust cloud that hid the situation from the view of the observers.

News quickly spread in a matter of seconds about a rejected entering the village.

Everyone was terrified!

The last three rejected that appeared in the world caused disasters everywhere they went!

They killed everyone for no reason!

As the village went into an uproar, the news quickly reached the ears of Elizabeth and the village head.

"Why did he come out of the hut?"

Shaking her head, Elizabeth ran out of the village head's hut to stop them from killing Will.
Stepping out of the hut, Elizabeth first noticed the dust cloud that was increasing in size.

Gritting her teeth she rushed over as fast as she could.

In just a matter of seconds she crossed through the village and appeared at the scene, her face paled as she swallowed a mouthful of blood.

Her injuries started to act up.

Noticing her arrival, the older woman that sent everyone after Will sprinted over with a relieved expression on her face.

"Eli, you have arrived! We need your help to kill a demon!"

Elizabeth panted lightly a few times as she looked towards the dust cloud in the distance.

Looking at the older woman, she started to head over to help Will, but as she walked forward her vision blacked out!

Bam!

She collapsed onto the ground unconscious!

Her injuries are acting up worse than before!

"Eli!"

Panicked, the older woman picked up Elizabeth as she shook with fury.

"It's the demon, the demon did this to Elizabeth!"

As was mentioned before, the inhabitants of this world and the heavens hate the rejected!

Anything wrong that happens, as long as a rejected exists in the world, it will be blamed on the rejected!

Hearing the older woman and seeing Elizabeth collapse on the ground, everyone was consumed with rage. 

Even the normal villagers finally understood that there was a rejected in their village.

They all charged towards Will's direction!
"Kill the demon!!"

"The rejected deserve death!"

"Those rejected by the heavens are the greatest evil! Kill!!"

At this moment, in the center of the dust cloud surrounded by all the villagers, Will's vision was starting to go dark.

Fear!

Immense fear!

He couldn't stay calm, he was consumed with fear!

Seeing Will's frozen figure all the villagers moved forward!

"Surrender and we can leave you an intact corpse!"

"That's right don't struggle!"

The first villager to arrive threw a punch into his stomach!

His mind drowned in pain.

In his agonized mind as he fell to the ground, will remembered a saying from one of his favorite web novels.

"IF YOU CAN'T BEAT THEM WITH STRENGTH! YOU CAN POISON THEM!!"

In his mind he visualized a potion of poison, he visualized a deteriorating nervous system, and thinning blood. 

Set conditions for poison!

Airborne! 

Infiltrate open wounds!

Without the time to visualize a vial, he imagined the air as the vial!

Outwards from his body a green glowing mist spread into the surroundings, being inhaled by the villagers.

Noticing the green mist, the villagers retreated, the ones that didn't notice continued to strike Will's body!

Thump!

Thump!

Thump!

Slowly the villagers started to collapse one after another, bodies convulsing as blood seeped out of their orifices!

"Demon!"

"DEMON!"

The villagers could only scream as they collapsed into the ground, they could only scream at the demon that killed them all.

The village head happened to leave his hut to see this happen, shaking in rage, his grey hair fluttered in the wind as he moved forward.

"They did nothing wrong! how dare you! Die!"

The village head didn't see the green mist spread out of Will's body, so he wasn't cautious of the remnants in the air.

Halfway to Will his body started to stop responding.

Feeling his blood start to seep from his organs and leak from his veins, and feeling the burning sensation in his body as his limbs started to move incorrectly, he burst out with the rest of his power.

He sent a palm strike towards Will!

The palm, surrounded by lightning dragons approached Will!

Boom!

A shock wave blasted outwards disintegrating the wooden huts and knocking down the ancient trees in the surroundings!

Even pirates were given the heroic image of robbing the rich to feed the poor. They were gentlemanly, pursued freedom, and pitted their wits and courage against all kinds of evils. 
Furthermore, there were published novels that specialized in this field, even being best sellers at one point.
In the fantasies of the numerous inland girls who had been duped, a real pirate was similar to a knight of the sea. The most distinct image of them was that they had handsome features and well-built bodies while also being young and rich. 
… But now, Miss Elizabeth only wanted to pull that wandering poet's tongue out and then squeeze it into his ***… Hmm, a real lady should not be using such words, or even thinking about them. However, may the heavens take pity on her. Elizabeth was truly tragically duped.

In such an environment, regardless of whether they were sailors of merchant ships, pirates, or even the navy, they all did not bathe. Thus, the smell on their bodies was naturally not very pleasant. 
The longer they traveled, the closer she was to breaking down. 
However, the jokes that destiny was playing on her had only just begun!
Just when they were approaching Ettoman's coastal waters and Elizabeth thought that she could finally free herself from this hellish life, she was shockingly informed that they had run into pirates! 
Unlike the image of knights of the sea that she had expected, the pirates of the Ferocious Tiger Pirates were practically the combination of scoundrels and scum, giving Elizabeth an enormous shock.
After she saw the granny who followed her being dragged into a room, Elizabeth finally revealed her identity to the pirates that resembled a pack of wolves.

It was not because he was some gentleman. It was merely because he felt that people would only be willing to pay a higher ransom if the merchandise was 'in good condition'. 
For this reason, he even specially let her original granny and servants continue to serve her. 
In reality, Elizabeth was practically resigned to her fate. 
However, what she had never anticipated was that after falling from one hell to another, there was still a third hell waiting for her! 
Amid gunfire and battle cries, she had thought for a time that it was the heroic navy coming to save her. However, when Butcher's ugly face broke into the ship's cabin with a huge cutlass stained in blood, Elizabeth knew that she had been thinking too much. 
She had encountered a battle between pirates. Furthermore, her upcoming fate would depend on whether the victorious pirates would still have the patience to deal with her like the previous pirates. 
"The pirates that defeated the Ferocious Tiger Pirates…" 
When Elizabeth was brought to the deck of Ferocious Tiger, she saw Fang Yuan. 
Overall, this pirate captain actually corresponded the most to the rosy dreams of girls. 
Not only did he have a handsome face with fitting clothing, but he was also valiant and wild, unlike the usual gentleman. If there was such a pirate in the mainland holding a rose in his mouth and knocking on the window of any lady, he would basically not receive any rejections.
Elizabeth composed herself. Just when she thought she might have gotten lucky, she saw Fang Yuan casually brandishing his officer's sword.

In a flash of the blade's brilliance, the row of pirates kneeling in front of him had their heads chopped off. Blood was instantly gushing out.

The other pirates were practically pissing their pants. They were shouting loudly, afraid that they would be following the footsteps of their comrades if they were slightly slower.

Elizabeth could hear a clear and crisp sound coming from her body. As a young lady who fantasizes, her heart was thoroughly shattered. 
Damn it… creatures like pirates should be completely annihilated!
Elizabeth was shouting hysterically in her mind, but she recalled the teachings of her home tutor at that moment. She held her head high and stood straight, subconsciously having the manner of a lady. 
"Hmm… Butcher, you did pretty good!" 
No matter what, Butcher could not be counted as bearing malice.

"First, everyone that participated in the attack will receive a basic reward. Those who killed someone in the boarding battle will be rewarded with three gold coins… Those who used ranged weapons such as bows, firearms, and cannons will have half the rewards. Any opinions?"
"Nope!"
"Whatever you say, boss!" 
The Mockingbird pirates were already perfectly satisfied with being able to accomplish this impressive feat. On top of that, they would still receive gold coins. This immediately boosted their morale, and they burst into cheers. 
"Hmm, I would like to particularly commend someone here! Butcher!" 
Fang Yuan motioned with his hand to suppress the clamor and had Butcher step forward. "Your performance was the most outstanding in the battle. I intend to honor my promise and bestow you with stronger powers!" 
While he was speaking, he threw the Ferocious Tiger Ring to him. 
"This is a ring imbued with black magic, containing the speed and strength of a ferocious tiger inside… By tomorrow, you'll be able to use it… The incantation to activate it is…" 
After the brief introduction about the ring, Butcher's eyes immediately brightened. "Thanks, Captain!" 
Looking at his excitement, it seemed like this ring was the only thing in his eyes. Even if there were another ten Elizabeths, it would still be incomparable.

A middle-aged man clad in the cliched white suits of scientists all over the world walked along the hallway. A languid expression could be seen on his face as he inspected the area. 
Wherever his eyes landed, all the scientists within those rooms would always subconsciously straighten their backs and reveal light smiles on their faces. 
The middle-aged man nodded towards them whenever that happened. Soon, he arrived at the so-called room that he always called the Main Control Room where the meat of NOAH, the Supercomputer that managed the world of Victory resided. 
As soon as the automatic doors recognized his authority and opened. 
The two people within the room. A man and a woman turned to look at his direction and smiled.
"Mar, you are finally here."
"Welcome back, sir Mar." 
The man spoke in a laidback tone, while the young woman had a far respectful tone than the former.
Nevertheless, the two of them were happy to see the middle-aged man.
"How's going on, folks? I see, both you are as diligent as always, eh? When will the marriage be?" 
Mar's smile was kind, but his words were like a punch to the guts of both Ray Gabriel and Elizabeth.
"Cough... Mar, did you come here just to poke fun at us?"
Ray coughed before shaking his head in disapproval.
"Of course not, why would I do that? I came here to report!"
"Report on my attendance, of course... How else will I be able to get my paycheck if I didn't report the things that I worked on every month?"
"Yeah, right... In that case, you can report those things to Elizabeth." Ray gestured to Elizabeth.
Mar glanced at Elizabeth and found that she was staring at him with a death glare, "Uh... I don't think that's going to work..."
"Everyone always reaps what they sow, Mar. You better face the consequences of what you have done." Ray gave a languid smile, "I don't even think that you do not know that I am frequently using Elizabeth's services for such matters. It really is convenient, you know? She works really fast and before you knew it, the job is already done."
Mar's gaze landed on Elizabeth once again and he found that she was currently staring right at the floor. It was unknown what she was thinking but as one of the great minds behind the creation of Victory. Mar had superior abilities when it came to extrapolating from missing data. 
A light smile spread on his lips as he said.
"Does that mean that Elizabeth's the best secretary in the world?" His words were direct, yet it contained ambiguity that startled Elizabeth awake as she furtively glanced at Ray.
"But of course, what else do I mean about what I said? You should also get a secretary, Mar! You're not getting younger, you know?"
"When it comes to trivial things, let them handle it. It really is convenient and it's a waste that you're not using the company's resources to its limit." Ray lightly shook his head.
Mar merely smiled, he had achieved what he wanted to achieve so he didn't humor Ray anymore as he said, "Well anyway, I just came here to report. Afterwards, I'll get back on my work."
He walked over to Elizabeth and handed over several dozens of files that Elizabeth received with a wide smile, she wasn't glaring at him anymore for she knew that Mar was the reason why she received praises from Ray.
Mar winked at her and whispered, "You know that the culture of a man pursuing a woman is so last season, right? You should do it! Pursue him! I think you have a pretty good chance."
Elizabeth blushed, "What are you saying, sir Mar... Also, if I did that, there will definitely be a conflict of interest that will harm the efficiency of my work."
Mar stared at her in disapproval, "Look at you acting so pessimistic. There would indeed be a conflict of interest, but that is only true while you are still pursuing him. That conflict will immediately disappear once the two of you became lovers, and also..."
"Do you really think that no one in this company apart from me knows about how you adore him?"

"Make it short!" Mar, who was still fighting against his sleep deprivation almost immediately replied.

"What?!" Mar's eyes widened in shock when he heard what Ray had said.
"You said the residents in that place are all dead? DEAD?! Are you serious?!" Disbelief was plastered on Mar's face as he said all of these words but Ray couldn't really blame Mar. 
It was because as Mar's colleague he knew that Mar spent at least a month designing the lore behind that place and the people inside of it.
Anyone would be pained to hear that their several weeks of effort was now useless.
"You think that I'd joke about something like that?" Ray stared at him in doubt.
What he said made sense so Mar finally believed him. 
But that didn't reduce the shock that he felt as he approached Ray, and sat in front of him before saying, "Explain to me everything, start from the beginning! No holds barred!" He decisively abandoned his strict sleeping schedule as he asked for an explanation.
Ray then explained everything to Mar and after several minutes of chit-chat. 
Mar finally understood the situation. 
"I really didn't expect that Gelial would reap what he sowed that fast... Now, the mechanic that I made about the release of those residents when that time came is now impossible to do since there are no more people to release..." 
"Sigh... But just what is the trigger that made Gelial act this fast?"
Ray shook his head and sighed, "Mar, didn't you listen to what I said? I told you that the guy that I messaged you about actually entered that place and he's probably the reason why Gelial acted like that!"
"Ah? Wait, what guy? Sorry, I am quite sleepy, you see... Can you just tell me directly about that guy?" Mar's drooping eyes snapped open as he said in an apologetic manner.
"Geez, you should really go and sleep now Mar," Elizabeth commented from the side.
"I don't need to sleep... What I need are answers... So, tell me!" Mar replied in defiance and Ray couldn't help but laugh.
"Hahaha, okay, okay... Calm down, all right? Here it goes." Ray decided that he would not tease Mar anymore as he explained everything, including the matter of Abyssal Flame Master becoming the vessel of Gelial, the Demon of Deceit, and Temptation.
"Really? You are planning on sending a team of psychologists for that player? Well, that move sounds reasonable but is it really necessary?"
"A guy that could make a demon interested in him shouldn't be a guy that has such a weak mental state that he needs a team of psychologists to maintain his sanity..."
"Maybe a therapist will do." Mar gave his proposal.
Ray shook his head and said, "That cannot do, Mar. This is the first time that a player made contact with a demon and even became a demon's vessel, so we cannot slack when it comes to monitoring the mental state of that particular player. No one wants to get a lawsuit, you know?"
"Okay, okay... I understand. But the matter of that guy who got that class is far important for now, I think... we should pay more attention to him."
"Yes, that is true. That is why I decided to make this office of mine my living quarters. I've got to witness with these own eyes of mine the Ascension of a player to a true Mythical Class player!" Ray suddenly became energetic. 
Mar swept his gaze around the room and spotted a mattress on the ground at the corner.

"Do you have some noise-canceling headset there that I can use?" 
Ray raised an eyebrow, "I do have, but what are you going to use it for?"
"Of course, it is to block my ears!" 
"Do you really think that I would want to hear the two of you have se-"

Elizabeth reappeared behind him like a ghost and chopped at his nape. He immediately dropped unconscious and was princess-carried by Elizabeth towards the mattress.
Ray was horrified and astonished at the same time. 
"Uh... Elizabeth?" 
"Please forget that something happened." Elizabeth coldly spat.
"A-All right..."
Silence reigned in the room until it was shattered by Ray who asked hesitatingly.
"Say... Elizabeth... do you think that he can successfully ascend?"
"Successfully ascend? Oh, that player? I think so..." Elizabeth nodded her head.
"Really?" Ray expressed his doubts.
"Yes... that final step is indeed too cruel for him, but does he even have a choice? Well, maybe. If you and sir Mar didn't design that quest to be like that in the first place." Elizabeth revealed a languid smile at the end of her sentence.
"Ah... So, the problem is the way that the quest is designed. Sigh... I guess I can only propose some changes in the Class-Specific Quests for the higher classes." 
"No, there's nothing wrong with the way that the quest is designed. It even makes sense. How can someone achieve greatness so easily, without an even greater sacrifice for that greatness?" 
"On the contrary, the quest wouldn't make sense if it wasn't designed like what you and Mar envisioned it to be," Elizabeth said.
She paused for a moment before she continued,
"That step may be far too cruel, but it must be done. A Sun that Overlooks Everything cannot be such a mellow man. If after his ascension, he can't recover from that step, then I guess. It must be fate." Elizabeth heaved a sigh and the room became incredibly silent afterwards.

After celebrating his rebirth yesterday, a swept of fear crept in Zorn's heart for a while when he realized he didn't receive the memories of his predecessor. Luckily, it was just delayed for an hour before a surge of strange yet familiar memories in his mind.

In his memory, this place is called Fallen Continent and there are borders called higher, middle, and lower. The meaning of these borders is the total power of your Kingdom and currently, the Darkvorth Kingdom is at the middle border. 

Naturally, there are the top ten Kingdoms in the middle border and every ten years, once you reach the first place then you can ascend to the higher border which is said to be a holy place.

The higher your border, the richer resources you can find. Additionally, you can also find something that doesn't even appear in the lower border.

Zorn woke up from his sleep while yawning and stared at the clear sky, "What a nice day!"

He stood up while humming his favorite song in the past and felt lucky for being born a rich man. What makes him happy after he saw his memories is that his parents pampered him, he doesn't even have the so-called brothers who will kill each other for the throne or else his heart will be full of anxiety today.

Zorn thought for a while and remembered the group of ten people that looks similar to ninjas. He remembered that he told them to hide first because he doesn't have time to talk matters at that time since the quest doesn't have a time limit anyway.

Zorn facepalmed himself and wondered how can he find those people, he hesitated and said, "Are you guys there? Can you show yourselves now?"

Suddenly, several spaces distortion appeared in front of him and several figures came out from it and they are the people whom he summoned last night!

Zorn was startled when he saw space distortions around him, but what made his eyes widened are the group of ten looking ninjas suddenly pop-out.

'It seems their powers should be about space but isn't this too op?' Zorn thought to himself while looking to the group who is kneeling in front of him. Suddenly, a new panel appeared in front of him.

When Zorn saw all of this he couldn't help but be surprised so finally spoke, "Stand up! Who is the leader among the ten of you?"

All ten Observers members stood up and the tallest among them step forward while not daring to stare at Zorn's eyes, "Master, I am Sc the leader of Observers."

Zorn nodded with satisfaction while looking at the man in front of him, he sat down back to his bed and asked curiously "Are your powers mostly related to space? If yes, are there no limits?"

"Yes, Master. Our abilities are mostly related to space and the limit is we can only use each skill three times a day." Sc replied respectfully to Zorn.

Zorn frowned when he heard it can only be used three times and he replied, "Then isn't it more like escaping abilities? No wonder."

Now he realized why the 'Profession' in the panel was only about information gathering or scout. He decided to look for more ways to increase the use of their abilities in the future.

As for what will happen if they will overuse it, he will eventually know later so he didn't bother talking about it or asking them where they hid yesterday. 

"Then Sc I have a task for all of you. I want you to gather brief information about all influential and powerful figures in the capital." Zorn said with a stern voice while staring at Sc's eyes.

When Sc heard it he sighed in relief that it wasn't an assassination and unparalleled confidence burst out from every Observer member. 

"Don't worry, Master. We will absolutely not fail you." Sc replied seriously and his eyes turned serious, he didn't want to fail his master.

Zorn waved his hand and the Observers bowed before disappearing from his room. 

Zorn fell into contemplation when the group left. In his mind, his parents will give everything he wants and although he did not get the previous emotions of his predecessor, however, he decided not to completely cut off his relationship with them. Otherwise, he would've sooner or later killed them once if the situation was the opposite.

In his past life, he was an absolutely useless guy but in this life, he will do and get whatever he wants no matter what's the cost! 

'Since this is the era of peace then there will be only a few all-out wars between kingdoms. Fine, I decided to create an interesting entertainment while I will slowly build my own chess pieces in every Kingdom and then slowly play with them.' Zorn thought to himself and a wide smile appeared on his face which look so eerie and scary.

Suddenly, the door opened and Zorn was caught off guard and panicked a bit. A beautiful middle-aged woman appeared inside the room with a worried look accompanied by several maids.

"Son, how are you? Do you still feel unwell? Do you want me to call the Physician?" Elizabeth Darkvorth asked worriedly while looking at his son's somewhat strange look.


Zorn squeezed a stiff smile to the predecessor's mother, his heart is beating so fast and tried to act like how the original owner of the body act, "Mother, your son is completely okay now."

Elizabeth stared at his son's stiff smile and she couldn't help but feel something amiss but don't know where it is. I have to say a woman's sixth sense is seriously terrifying, and if Zorn knew about her thoughts he would surely pass out of anxiety.

After all, he was just an ordinary useless person in his past life. Those main characters in rebirth novels are fake! How could they not be jealous and act as a genuine son or daughter?

Zorn told his mother again that he is okay and Elizabeth didn't mention it again and instead called the maid to get the breakfast. They also chatted for a while until Zorn's anxiety is slowly dissipating. 

Later on, his mother left with his maids while Zorn stared at her mother's back and shook his head with an awry smile on his face.

"What a lucky guy! My predecessor has a loving family despite being born in aristocratic yet he died, pity." Zorn murmured to himself.

After eating breakfast he opened his storage panel and saw a book icon in it. He thought about the book in his mind and a panel appeared in front of him.

Zorn slanted his eyebrows while looking at the basic information of the martial art, "Killing art? It sounds like it can only be used as your last card to kill an enemy." He thought.

Zorn stood up then followed the illustration of the first style, however, the difficulty made him groan due to his weak body. Luckily, it didn't require much since it can only be used in his legs, so he kept practicing it until he could no longer felt his legs.

Zorn fell on the ground like a dead dog breathing deeply as he couldn't felt and move his legs. He was deeply shocked by the power of the martial art.

Although this is his first practice he can feel the force behind his kick whenever he followed the illustration.

King Seon laughed a bit and took a sip of wine before replying, "He is like that but next time we should not let him drink alcohol outside or else this will happen once again." 

The King and Queen chatted happily while the maids and a butler were quite far away from them looking down on the floor as if they're just waiting to be called.

Suddenly, a gush of wind can be felt inside the lounge area and a black robe man appeared beside the King and whispered something.

Seon's face didn't change by the intrusive and rude black robe man so does Elizabeth. This black robe man was none other than King's second hand, Shadow.

Seon stood up from his seat while Shadow disappeared with a gush of wind. Elizabeth put down the utensils on the plate and stared at her husband, "What's wrong?" 


A wide smile appeared on Seon's face and he laughs heartily and said, "My son's fiancee is coming here to visit us. Her school just send us a letter."

A surprised appeared on Elizabeth's look and remembered the day when they saved a breath-taking woman in her twenties with serious injuries. 

"Astrid is coming today? That's great! I will go and tell my son now." Elizabeth said happily and stood up while going back to her son's room accompanied by her maids.

Seon looked at his wife and he shook his head with a smile. He naturally knew that they have spoiled their son a lot, especially his mother.

A 19-year-old John Miller was hit by a car but instead of dying immediately, he is already one step away from dying.

John thought that the driver of the car will immediately send him to the nearest hospital. But who would have thought that the driver panicked did not save him and instead left him on the road to die?

So let me get everything in organize to make a collected random thoughts from my research of this world.

This is I learned about the humans. 

The origins of humans cannot be confirmed. Humanity claims to have been created by gods, but elves scoff at their claim as they have no mana in their bodies. {I learned this is just a misconception they do have mana it just very limited. I learned that due to the barrier it affected human jobs. there are lots of other changes but I have to learn more later} Humans were extremely dangerous on the continent according to the history recorded when they just developed a literacy system, but the elves accepted them, provided them with seeds, practical skills and knowledge. Using their determination and courage, the humans slowly steadied their foundation on the continent, even becoming the ruler of the continent using their numbers and courage. The humans then began to show greed and disrespected the natural environment which left the elves very disappointed.

And so the elves returned to their forests and never interacted with humans again. The humans split up into countless small nations and fought each other. In the end, Elizabeth Rosvenor conquered all of humanity. She controlled the area from the Grand Canyon to the North to the ocean at the Southern end. The small town of humanity was annexed and the area that was not conducive to management became a vassal. Elizabeth claims herself to the second ruler of Rosvenor. However, the people believe that the present "Rosvenor Empire" and "Rosvenor City" are two different things, therefore, Elizabeth should be considered the first generation ruler.

Management: The highest standing ruler of humanity is Empress Elizabeth. And with her unparalleled martial arts, nobody dares to question her rule. Beneath the empress are the Minister of Finance, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of the Interior, Minister of Justice and the General Officers, the city mayor, finance officer, civil servants and judges. Military power belongs to the empress, and the general officers may only command the army in place of the empress during wars. If the empress personally joins an expedition, then the generals are just considered staff. Humanity is ruled based on dictatorship. Important matters are discussed in the conference hall, but the final say still lies with the empress nonetheless. The laws were established by the empress herself, and the judges are only responsible for practicing them.

Religion: The Pope is the thought leader. Their religion started as word-of-mouth from soldiers and eventually became an orthodox religion. The Supreme Protestant Church in the imperial capital has the right to interpret the teachings. Many towns and villages have chapels as well as missionaries responsible for passing on the teachings to the masses in hopes of converting their religion. {I never heard or believe in their God because I cant seem to find any cases of people receiving his blessing.} {I learned later that the God actually used most of its power to create the barrier along with the Elven Goddess. who was his lover and is currently sleeping. I personally think that the Elven goddess killed the Human god for cheating knowing the goddess..}

Culture and Technology: Humans have already grasped the usage of machines. Their smelting industry has developed, and their astronomical observations are developing well. In regards to agriculture, they have gained a lot of experience. The empress does not manage or provide protection for cultures, permitting the existence of differing views, consequently leading to a variety of literacy and music being widely circulated. Military: The humans, or rather, the empress has the strongest army on the continent. Other vassal states virtually don't have armies and are surrounded by threatening armies. The army of the Rosvenor Empire is mainly made up of infantry, cavalry and artillery divisions. The army is structured based on the regiments. A regiment has a regiment chief and four staff officers. Under each regiment are two generals; four infantry divisions under the two generals, and two cavalry divisions, totalling forty-thousand people, as well as three artillery battalions, with two-hundred cannons. The Infantry is divided into line infantry, scouts and grenadiers. The cavalry consists of armoured chest plate cavalry and artillery cavalry. The cannons are designated based on battle terrain, and attack or defence objectives. At present, the ten defence regiments guarding the imperial capital are safe; while the fifty field operation and attack regiments are spread out nearby the vassal states. The empress's guard unit, the Valkyries are all women whom are orphans. The empress personally raised them. They worship her fanatically. All of them are elites capable of taking on a hundred soldiers alone. Marksmanship, horse riding, archery, swordsmanship, there's nothing they can't do. They are responsible for protecting the empress and the palace. They are the strongest reserve unit in times of war. They usually move around in groups of two hundred or so, and are divided into three teams. There are supposedly a thousand candidates, so even if one of them suffers severe injuries or dies, there will be a replacement for them the next day. {learned the Military ranking would be C or B rank in all of Lambda not including Valkyries}

Character: Humanities character is difficult to generalise. They are tough and courageous, never yielding. They will show greed and cowardice. However, humanity is still a friendly race. Humans have a comparatively vague notion of love. While they advocate loyalty, it's also common for them to have lovers, which is an open-secret for them.

Elves 

The elves had already appeared when the continent had just taken shape. Early elves ate fur and drank blood. Being hunters at night, the moonlight was their best companion, which also led to them worshipping the moon. Their lust goes into full drive on full moon nights. They were a race created by gods; hence they have mana in their bodies and can use magic. {NOT TRUE THEY WERE LIED TO AND SHE ISNT THE MOON GODDESS SHES 'Yuno Gasai' She modified the creatures inside the barrier suit her needs to.... } They have a special culture for the natural environment as well as their worshipping practices of their gods. {the elders know the truth but they keep it hidden from the rest of the elves}They also have very long lifespans up to 500 years (dark elves 1000), causing them to lack a concept of time and developing slowly. Up until now, they remain a self-sustaining race. In the past, the elves were split into many different tribes and fought for many years over the mana of elves and the source of life, the holy springs. The Galadriel family then rose to power. They spilt the blood of others while practicing tolerance for their own. They killed off almost half of the elves and united half of the elves, thus becoming the ruler of elves. They also imitated human cities by constructing a large town south of the Grand Canyon. They are also the rulers of choice of the elves. {learned later the Galadriel tribe are also Dark elves just modified}

Management: The queen, Vyvyan Galadriel is the sovereign because she passed the tower of heaven. With the powers of a demi-god, she can easily destroy the continent, which is why she is worshipped by the elves. The eight elders are responsible for management. The elders have the highest degree of rights such as rituals, tax collection, gathering others for group activities and even warfare. However, Vyvyan actually holds their rights. Without Vyvyan's hand-written letter, they cannot even leave the city,

Culture and Technology: Elven technology is relatively underdeveloped. However, the metal and handicraft industry are still amazing. Humans are still amazed by the swords and bows they make. Their culture is flourishing just as ever. Poems, songs, and novels are widely circulated. But the queen gave the order that all authors and composers must hand in the original version of their work to be stored in the library.

Military: The elven army is much smaller compared to the human army. They only have eight regiments, with a total of forty-thousand people. The soldiers are armed with long swords and bows. Before closing in on the enemy, they fire arrows to disrupt the enemy formation, and once they close in on them, they draw their sword to kill them. Elves are taught swordsmanship and archery upon birth, so it's no challenge for one elf to kill four normal human troops. Every regiment has a high priest who is in charge of manufacturing potions, namely: explosion, combustion, freeze, and poison. They can quickly add the magic effects to their swords and arrows. Should time allow, elves can gather mana for a magic attack. The strongest regiment, the imperial guards, are responsible for guarding the palace. Their armour and weapons are personally blessed by the queen and thus possess god-strength. There are also the reconnaissance, assassination, infiltration and destruction, as well as the shadow squad.

Character: Elves love battle! They love it! The elves are not a peaceful and passionate race. They crave war. Elves become strangely fanatical when faced with war. However, elves are sympathetic towards the weak. They also don't pursue wealth and power. From their perspective, bloodlines and mana is what gives the power to rule. Subsequently, they don't hold any rebellious ideas. In regards to love, elves are stubborn to the point it's almost considered an illness. If their lover is stolen from them during the time that they start falling in love, then they will give their heartfelt blessings, and will become close friends. However, if they cheat after marriage, the cheater and their partner will be executed out of anger, and their spouse who was cheated on will be celebrated as a hero.
