   The black stones were powered by the moon and made it impossible for the vampires to cross over. For once,the people of Wallachia were indebted and
grateful to the so scorned gypsy. But notwithstanding, the moonlight nights were approaching. Without the moon, the black stones were powerless and the vampires unleashed their horrors to the mortals.
   The marketsquare was the busiest place in Muntenia. For the rich elite in the society, it was rowdy. Bells jingled erratically as sellers sang to attract buyers to their wares.   "Sweet roses for your

endearment in Wallachia.Everybody was someobody's Draga. But she was sure when other people called her that, none meant it.
         She pushed at the entrance door of the library. Her entry was accompanied with stares as many heads were strained to glare at her. And almost immediately hushed conversations began. Smoothing her silky apparel, she walked straight to the librarian,
ignoring the contemptuous look directed to her by the librarian's plump daughter.
    "Good day, Ms Balan I'm here for the books I ordered for "she said smiling warmly. The books her maid Elene, would never touch, so she had to come for them.
          Ms Balan smiled back as she turned to get the books, Elizabeth nodded to the young woman despite the disdain written boldly on her face.
"How do you do, Maria "
Maria snorted in reply as she studied Elizabeth why didn't she have such skin, as smooth as alabaster or lips like red wine?It was indeed sinful for anyone to be as beautiful as Elizabeth Draga Fleming, the younger woman thought eyeing her enviously. She was by far her rival for Sergius, the most eligible bachelor. It was no secret that Sergius lost interest in her after spying the violet eyed girl
in front of her.
         Ms Balan returned with the books wrapped in a bag. Her eyes sad as she wondered why such a beautiful girl would be interested in horrific books and not the romantic like other ladies were.
     "The book of the dead "Maria shrieked ensnaring people's attention.
         "Such horrific books are Elizabeth's favourites "she drawled mockingly. Ignoring her statement
Elizabeth fumbled with her purse for money. Maria's expression turned into greed at the wads of money being held out to her.
    Besting her mother, she snatched them, then sarcastically whispered "Draga mea "
 Outraged, Elizabeth glared at her
   "Don't say such words carelessly, l'm no darling of yours! So call me Elizabeth "she retreated stressing the Elizabeth.    Maria huffed
"Nonsense! What's Elizabeth? "eyeing her flaring curls, she growled scornfully
    "Elizabeth must mean 'the devil's daughter ' "
     "No! "a voice came to her rescue and Maria studied the speaker with a mixture of admiration and pain. He had a finely featured face and a sturdy attractive body.
            Avoiding Maria's heated gaze, he continued
  "Dr Fleming named her after
his beloved English queen Elizabeth Tudor I"his hand reached to touch her curls "Because of her infamous red hair and his inability to pronounce 'Draga ' "
   The harridan sniffed contemptuously
     "Where then comes her strange hair? Bet my life that she got it from hell "
          This outburst was followed with giggles and whispers. Elizabeth could hear some
muttering
         "Heard she was expelled from school because she is possessed by demons!"
    "legions of demon indeed! "
 Maria struck the last jibe
    "Now she writes books about demons! "
   Elizabeth felt a flush rise to her cheeks, her violet eyes flashing in anger. Seeing those turbulent eyes, Maria backed away to a safer distance. Tracing the cross sign
over her face she retorted icily
 "Eyes of a witch "
   "Silence! "the man who had touched her curls snapped. A hush silence ensured, It was apparent that they were afraid of this speaker. Draped in guns, he surely inspired fear. Clutching her arm, he led her out.
      "Considering the numbers of exotic libraries in Bucharest, I wonder why you are here " He snarled.
Her chin rose up arrogantly
 "I get the books I desire here! "she stomped her feet. Already knowing the 'desired books ' he asked no further questions.
      Placing his hands possessively on her waist he pressed a kiss against her cheeks. And she stiffened at his embrace, he felt it and smiled sadly, it was expected. Elizabeth was just too frigid. He stared down into her face, even though the day was hot, the heat
rising from her body was sweetly scented.
   "You should stay away from Maria, Draga mea "...his calling her 'my darling'infuriated her but she let it pass.
     "I don't understand her hatred of me, Sergius "
    Sergius swallowed the knot of apprehension clogged in his throat, apart from the jealousy that Elizabeth was far more beautiful than her. He was responsible for
the incensed hatred.
   "Why are you here? "she curiously asked.
    He smiled flirtatiously "I came to get this.. "he revealed the bouquet of roses hidden behind him. At her admiring glances he added
  "..For you.. as an encouragement. How is your book going?  you know how we hunters adore your works "
      She grinned, an act that spread warmth to his heart.
"Because it spills most  secrets of the vampire "
  He ran his hands over her fiery hair "You are so talented"
   He glanced away, unable to meet her clear eyed gaze. He had betrayed her trust countless times, spreading horrible rumors about her to any pursuing admirer 'she's cursed 'he would tell them 'I know her too well 'he would add with a speculate gleam  "she's an insane whore, plagued by demons "Then
he would grin victoriously when their interests turned to disdain.
    She turned to wave as her Peugeot pulled away. With a smug satisfied grin, he thought 'I'm the only one for you now, or you'll die an old maiden, Draga mea "

It was the last day of the event, precisely, the finale of Alyssa's upcoming age. Today Alyssa's name would be written in the "Book of Names" and she will officially become a member of the royal family. Alyssa took a deep breath and entered the emplacement.
It was not the same ballroom that she was going for the last two days. It was an old temple of Goddess Luna or in other words Moon Goddess. It is said that werewolves came into reality when the Moon Goddess gave the power of an animal to a couple to fight against evil vampires. It was sometimes also said that a wolf saved Goddess Luna and in return, she gave him the power to change into the human form. There are many theories related to how werewolves came into existence but one thing was for sure that they came into actuality because of goddess Luna. Is their sole purpose is to fight vampires, who knows? Like them, vampires are also creatures of darkness and are capable of living harmoniously together.
Alyssa was standing on the road leading to the temple. She was taking in the scenery present before her eyes. It was scenic. The temple was just like any old Indian temple which she had seen in the books. The temple was made of marble which had lost its sparkly whiteness over the centuries. It was said that it was the first Moon Goddess temple in Astros. The temple was in the middle of a thicket so it was densely surrounded by trees. There was a single dirt road leading to the main road which leads to the backside of the old castle. Alyssa had been into these woods surrounding the old castle but she had never been so far. This temple was meant only for the royals and for those whose names were in the "Book of Names".
There was a small lake near the temple whose water is considered to be holly. There are many stories related to this lake too. Some say that it was the Moon Goddess tears or her divine blood. Some say that this was the pond where the Moon Goddess had submerged herself to become a part of nature but the gist is that this water is holy and miraculous too, considering that it's water never freezes in winter and it never goes dry in summer.
Alyssa looked at the lake and thought to herself, "There should be a scientific explanation to this." She inched to leave this ceremony and to just collect this water as a sample for further research to unravel this mystery.
"Hey, you are early." Alyssa turned to see Alexander walking towards her with a beautiful lady in his arms. It was not that she was the most beautiful lady that Alyssa had seen so far, but she looked pretty with her brown hair and brown eyes. she was wearing a light pink gown with a fur scarf wrapped around her neck. She was wearing a diamond necklace with matching earrings and was holding a pink fan on her left hand. Alyssa's eyes traveled towards her fingers when she noticed that leaving her thumb, she was wearing rings of pink diamonds with different shapes and sizes.
Alyssa really wanted to furrow her brows. It was not that she was against anyone wearing pink or diamonds but the lady seemed a bit off. Alyssa couldn't pinpoint that why was she feeling uncomfortable in the presence of a complete stranger.
"This is Elizabeth, my girlfriend," Alexander said when he saw Alyssa staring at the stranger.
"Oh, hi. Congratulations" Alyssa said wiggling her eyebrows at Alexander. "So how long you have been together?" Alyssa asked.
"Two weeks. But we know each other for nearly a month." Alexander answered.
"Wow! You guys are fast." Alyssa chuckled.
"And you are?" Elizabeth questioned a bit rudely
"Beth meet my sister Alyssa," Alexander replied before Alyssa can say anything.
"Oh! The abandoned one. I can guess just by looking at her why she would be abandoned. She is nothing like Violet." Elizabeth scoffed while screening Alyssa from head to toe.
"Beth," Alexander said in a warning tone.
"Whatever." Elizabeth huffed before walking towards the temple on her own.
"Didn't expect that" Alyssa chuckled to lighten the mood.
"Sorry Allie, she is usually not like that. She has been a bit off lately." Alexander apologized for Elizabeth's behavior.
"It's alright. I am used to it. But why is she here? Is she someone royal?" Alyssa questioned
"No. She is going to be my wife so it's obvious to make some exceptions for the future queen." Alexander said smiling. Alyssa can see his eyes lighting up whenever her name was mentioned. She can practically feel the dept of his love for her.
"Let's go," Alyssa said and both of them walked inside.
The insides of the temple were huge. The whole wall on the left side of the door was carved into symbols saying some legend about Moon Goddess and her followers. And a huge painting was made on the wall adjacent to the right side of the door.
In the first part of the painting picturized arrival of the Moon Goddess on earth then it went to picture her giving power to humans and her leaving Astros. There was something written at the end of the painting. The letters had paled with time and were barely visible. Alyssa tried to read it but she found that it was neither written in Astrosian language or the old language, the one used by witches and warlocks, so she couldn't decipher it's meaning.
On the opposite side of the gate, there was a statue of Goddess Luna kept upon a high marble floor. The floor was decorated with thousands of candles.  The whole temple was decorated with candles. The temperature inside the temple was low. Many shivered when they entered the temple.
Alyssa could feel the pious pietistic feeling in the temple. There was a high lectern present in front of the high marble floor. Alyssa could see an inkpot with a quill kept on it. the ceremony was going to start after the arrival of the royal high priest. Alyssa was feeling jittery about all these processes. It felt surreal but there was one vexatious feeling in her guts that was telling her that something wrong was going to happen.

It's hard to be an Omega heir, being a disappointment to your parents, the person you love, and always falling in the pit of your sister's plot.

LA Malvar Minor – Archive Room...

Azul was checking the records regarding Belinda Malvar the founder of the White witch clan Malvar, she do doubt the story she heard today from the William's. She has taken every book regarding the founding of the clan, but still there's no records of Belinda having an elf for an husband and had twin with him. All she can find out that Belinda and Carolina was the first witch of the clan who secretly aid the human in their fight against the evil side.

She was on the last book of the medieval era, she spend two days just to study the history of their clan when a knock disturbed the silent room. The door was open and the first thing Azul noticed was the sweet smell of hibiscus tea it filled the small archive room, then her eyes drifted to the person carrying the food tray it was grandmother Elizabeth. Her Grandmother Elizabeth still has that youthful look and since she became a vampire her sandy colored hair turned darker. 

"Anina sweetie it's been two days you have been holed-up in this record room" Elizabeth place the try on the nearest table and poured tea for Azul. 

"Grandmother Eli, sorry I did not notice the time" she was so engrossed on reading and afraid that she might missed something, she put all her focus on the books. She stood up and approached the table and accepted the tea offered by Elizabeth.

"What are you looking for young lady?" Elizabeth poured tea for herself and savor the aroma before sipping "I might help you"

"Dark era, Belinda Malvar" and she did the same things as Elizabeth, Savor the aroma before drinking the tea.

"The founder the grand matriarch" Elizabeth furrowed her eyebrows at her "What about her?"

"Well grandmother!" She put down her tea cup and look at Elizabeth " I met the Williams today at the cinema and they told me the story of the Dark era and how we Malvar has blood of the elves running into our veins, so here I am checking the records of history of the Malvar if that story is true or false…. Hmmm… so far I haven't seen any records of that claimed blood line.

"Well its true" and Elizabeth munched on a cookie "We do have blood of the elves"

(O_O)… "Grandma there is no record or what so ever written in the books" she look at Elizabeth in a serious manner "Is there a hidden records room that I don't know about?"

"This is the one and only records room the Malvar minor have" and Elizabeth furrowed her eyebrows at her.

" Grandma, We have the blood of the elves?" she shake her head " That is impossible, Elves are the holiest of all creation while the vampires are from the dark side, is like night and day,  they will not be together or be combine.

Elizabeth give Azul a confused look.

"Grandma, What I mean is, if we have elves blood- mother or you had become derange   and we, us your children will not exist" Azul got a little frustrated by the unrealistic of the situation. 
"Oh! So that the reason, why you holed up here for two days" Elizabeth laugh at her " Sweetie you are the smartest and talented in your generation but still you proven that your still inexperience, your still a child" "hahahhaha!

(O0O)….. ME a Child!!!

Elizabeth laugh louder when she sees the expressions of my face that is usually emotionless.
"Sweetie we are not fully Vampires we still have the human or witch within us" and she smile at me warmly "You of all people should know this, you are a human at this moment!" and she let me digest her worlds. " a normal human once bitten by a vampire they will become a mindless eating machine or became a wholly vampire , but we retained our human side while we have a vampire reside in our body, it co-exist within us.

"It makes sense" It was a question linger in my mind for a long time, it just that I haven't got the chance to asked mother about it. But it really make sense that I and my twin or Elizabeth children has a two persona.

"And haven't you wonder why you guys has two different eye colour?" Elizabeth asked again which I nodded my head " Elves only has four eye colour , Blue which represent the ocean and the sky, green which is the nature, Grey which is metal and precious stone" and she look at me in the eye " and Gold which represent creation just like the colour of your right eye. 

That was too many to digest, Blue has the ability of storm, affinity of air and water, while me I can summon anything from fire to vines. 

Elizabeth hand a vial to me "Great Grandfather Elaran asked me to give this to you" I checked the vial what inside is a golden liquid  " He said it's from grand matriarch and he advised that you should drink it in full moon to make it more effective"

Now- I- am- so- confuse- look (@_@) was given to Elizabeth.

"Oh! It's a medicine for you! How to put it, when you were stabbed and on the death door you parents went to find the Grand Matriarch for help, you were shrinking in size and age, when they reached the Kingdom of elves you return to a baby,  if they wait one more day you might vanish. You stayed with the Grand Matriarch for a hundred of years. She has prolong your life slowly getting you off the critical stage but the price you pay is your eon of years sleep. 

"I was in the Kingdom of elves? " This is the first time she is hearing this

" Yes" and sip her tea " your parents avoid mentioning all this because they don't want to remember that nightmare" who want to recall all the suffering the von Holstein couple undergo, Margaret almost went crazy and her nephew-in-law went on killing spree almost wipe out the rouge. 

Azul was speechless, she felt sorry for her parents and brother although it was not intentional she still feel pain, she was sulking when when she remember the missing records.

"Grandma! why the records of the bloodline is missing?"

Our Anina Ziya Ulyana Love von Holstain y Malvar in short Azul a black haired with honey colored skin lady, a novelist at 30(Virgin)  a half Vampire & Witch had witness a fight between werewolf, vampire, witch & hunter. Amazed & enlighten for her next book. Decided to collect writing materials by observing this action pack & tenacious fight. Our passerby Azul almost clap her hands in joy to the scene unfolding in front of her. Unsatisfied with her viewing area she move closer to have a greater view forgetting the word “caution “.
Our passerby human self was accidentally badly injure before she knows it her world turn dark.
After eon of years of sleep she was awaken, found herself looking at a 14 years old girl in the mirror. Her price black silky hair, lovely skin, black eyes & chest of c-cup are all gone. This androgynous appearance shock her….(⁰₀⁰)

A smile that is what she remembered when her eyes slowly opened. This time when she woke her body did not feel heavy and unmovable, it felt warm and refreshed. She turned her head towards the window to see it must me early morning or late at dusk. The sky was dark midnight blue but the closer it was to the ground the colors changed to a light blue to a shimmery yellow to an orange that was deep finally to a robust red. Those colors made her feel like it was all going to be ok. Turning her head to the room there was the High Priestess in a chair asleep. Just looking at the high priestess' face she could tell 'this must be the first time she had slept in a while probably because of me,' Shandra thought to herself. 
Testing her body she slowly moved to a sitting position, all while trying not to make a sound to wake the high priestess. Once she was fully in the sitting position she went to grab her hair to braid it as usual but it was cut short. 'Oh I forgot it got cut at the ceremony,' she thought with a sigh. At that thought her hand raised to her forehead, when her fingers grazed the open wound she tensed and winced with pain. Well the mark is there she is a high priestess. Looking down she saw that her clothes has been changed. She was wearing a light blue  long flared sleeves. As she improved her hands she has been cleaned. She looked once again to the High Priestess, she was still asleep. She moved slowly to not make any sounds. 
Taking off her covers she moved her legs and rest her feet on the floor. The floor was cool to the bottom of her feet. She looked around she was back in her room. 'They moved me when I was sleeping and changed my clothes. I must have scared them,' she thought to herself. The dress that she was changed in to was not the traditional clothes of a high priestess. 
Making sure that she had the strength to stand she slowly pushed herself into a standing position. Shandra's legs held her weight, there was some strain and pain but it was bearable so she took a soundless step towards her cleaning basin and mirror. Her steps were so light that they made no sound. 'Well I guess with my new position I will get some new talents as well,' these thoughts went through Shandra's head as we looked into the mirror. The reflection that looked back was a woman she almost knew but there is some differences. Her auburn hair was cut short now fell into her face, so she took a piece of string and pulled her bangs back so her face was free of hair so she could see her face better. Her blue eyes that were once a light now was very dark blue. Dark circles were very visible under her eyes like she has not slept in days. But that is all she has been doing. Then her eyes finally fell up on her high priestess mark. It looks like the rest of the high priestesses's marks. She willed some water to the basin, it took more effort then usual. This worried her a bit, 'I will ask the high priestess later no need to worry her now.' As she washed her face the high priestess awoke to Shandra not in her bed but washing her face. She let out a sign of relief. 'So you are awake. How do you feel?' Shandra let the question settle into her. 'I feel tired, and,' as to react to her saying this she could sense the world around her, 'a bit tense like something is going to happen. But I do not know what.' 
The High Priestess took Shandra's hand and lead her to the library. 'I made the other priestesses look for any book that had any notion about what happened at the ceremony.' This statement made Shandra breath a bit easier. There is a possibility that somewhere in a book could be the answers to her questions. 
The library was the way it always has been, full of books and smells like knowledge. As the High Priestess led her to the small table in the back corner with a dozen books sitting on top of the table. They looked very old older than most of the books. 'Looks like there is not much on what happened. I hope there is something in there.' Shandra thought to herself. 'I will go and grab you a chair my young high priestess' one of the lower priestess said as she went down an isle. Shandra glances at the High Priestess and the High Priestess nodded at her. Taking a deep breath she closed the distance to the small table. Looking at the books closer they were bound with dark leather that was cracking around the spines and corners. As she picked up the first book the other priestess came back with a chair. Shandra thanked her and turned her attention to the stack of books. 'We will be leaving you. If you need any assistance please come get priestess Elizabeth,' the lady that had handed her the chair nodded, 'if you like she can also bring you some food and drink.' The High Priestess told her with a smile. But with those words both ladies turned and headed out of the library. Shandra took another deep breath to steady her nerves and turned the book over in her hand in silver scroll letters the book was called The phases of the moon Goddess. She opened the book to the first page...
There is more than full moon priestesses there are also new moon priestesses. They are named light priestesses and dark priestesses. DARK DOSE NOT MEAN EVIL.
As she read that she could feel a weight left from her chest. Maybe the lady in my dream was right. She sighed and continued to read.

"I don't care, Hes fine hes feeling suicidal but isn't having many thoughts about it. And stop trying to reassure me, It wont work." Quinn answered walking to her room
flopping on her bed while picking a book from her bookshelf, Quinn thought and considered her options eventually picking a non fiction booklet that was on about the expenses of moon landing and how gravity effects the human body and she did enjoy books of a similar sort to that book she was reading, she had eventually gotten bored. 
'ahh, screw this book' she thought placing her book to the side 'What to do, of course, make sure the house is Quite!' Quinn giggled getting out of her bed and she began walking out and around the house with her teddy bear
'So no one is awake' Quinn thought, 'Finally lets see what i can do.' she smiled uncovering her hands 'focus Quinn!' she focused a purple light flew around the room luminating the whole room 'woah' the magic flew around the room lifting her up, she could create anything that she wanted, she smiled and hugged her copies that she made the magic was so light but heavy and completely defiying the laws  gravity

Continuing towards her original goal, Elizabeth entered the Guild's Exchange Hub. Much like the reception area, the Exchange Hub had dozens of staff members ready to assist any Guild members and since today was a slow day, there were well over a half dozen booths marked "Unoccupied." 

Thus, after picking a booth at random, Elizabeth walked in and was greeted by a smiling elderly man. She watched him press a button on his side of the booth, and the entrance behind her closed as she saw the previous green-tinted sign flip from "Unoccupied" to a red "Occupied" sign.

As the booth's privacy reached the Guild's standard, the elderly man asked, "Miss, what business do you have here today?"

"I'm looking for some books…" Elizabeth said.

"Ok, what kind of books do you need?"

"Mhmm… Let's see, I don't have specific books in mind, but from the descriptions I provide, could you give me suggestions?" The man nodded patiently before Elizabeth continued, "Then I'll need a book that details the history of this city, country, and the local geography. It would be best if the book or books you recommend have something written within them of the relationships between the various local powers, and a book on the Guild or Guilds in general would be appreciated."

With Elizabeth's demands coming to a stop, the elderly man paused in thought for a second before he said, "That shouldn't be a problem. I can send someone to fetch three books that cover all the information for just 80 Gold. However, that will only cover things in general terms. If you want as much detail as possible, I can think of just over a dozen books that will run you 275 platinum."

"Mhmm… Gold and Platinum? How do I earn that?" Elizabeth asked as she was essentially broke when it came to the city's currency.

"You don't have Gold or Platinum?" The elderly man looked a bit disappointed, but after taking another look at Elizabeth and sizing her up to be nothing but another brat still learning from the Academy, he came to reproach himself for not expecting this outcome. The elderly man continued, "You can trade resources you get from the field here in the Exchange Hub for currency or by completing bounties or missions for the Guild there will usually be a reward founded in the empire's currency."

"Going by how unsure you sound, I'm guessing you're not too sure what the empire's currency is, so I'll do you this little favor for free. In the Irealian Empire and all its governing cities, towns, and villages, the currency system follows a base in hundreds where Copper is the least powerful coin. 100 Copper is equal to 1 Silver, 100 Silver is equal to 1 Gold, and so the trend continues from Gold to Platinum to Mythril."

"Mythril being the highest valued coin is generally only used in Tier 1 cities of the Empire and since we are only a Tier 2 city, you'll find it generally difficult to find a reason to use that kind of money. But in Tier 1 cities and the capital, it isn't common for banknotes of Mythril to be used when transactions surpassing the hundreds of coins of Mythril are involved."

He concluded his explanation, and Elizabeth nodded in understanding. She then materialized a Monster Core that had come from the King Stage Jade Rabbit she had fought in the cave system earlier in the day — it was literally the weakest Monster Core in her possession after giving away the Level 10 Core to the guard who escorted her to the Guild. With an expectant look, she placed the Monster Core before herself and asked, "How much money will this net me?" 

Expecting maybe a couple coins of gold or perhaps even platinum, Elizabeth was floored as she watched the elderly man apparently black out after realizing what Level the Monster Core was.

"Uh…" Elizabeth felt bad for stunning the man unconscious, so she walked over to him and jolted him away with a tendril of Neutral Magic; an application of her Acupoint.

Seeing the elderly man come back to life with a heavy gasp, she asked, "Are you OK?" Alas, she was met with a look of disbelief and horror intertwined with excitement that she had not seen since the Wushi Tournament back on Earth.

"This… this Monster Core, is… is it…" The elderly man couldn't formulate a complete sentence, so Elizabeth affirmed his thoughts by saying, "It's a Monster Core that came from a King Stage Jade Rabbit; an Early Phase King Stage Jade Rabbit if you want specifics."

Hearing it from Elizabeth herself, the man's heart gave out, rendering him unconscious again. Seeing this, Elizabeth squinted her eyes in annoyance, thinking, 'Why can't he just do his job?' She sent another tendril of Neutral energy into his body, only this time, it split off into dozens of acupoints that would ensure he stayed awake for the next couple hours. Elizabeth could accomplish this because she was both a Grandmaster in the Art of Acupoint and her "patient" this time around possessed a very weak cultivation base at Level 1 Mortal Stage.

Awaking once more, the elderly man didn't even know he had blacked out twice as he propped himself up after seeing Elizabeth return to her seat. He pressed a different button on his desk, all the while shaking as if in mid-seizure and within ten seconds the door to the booth opened up with the arrival of a courier.

"I need 780 Platinum Coins…" The elderly man said despondently. Yet as both he and the courier looked at each other with mirroring emotions, Elizabeth spoke up to say, "Don't forget to subtract the 275 Platinum for the books." Flashing a look of shock at the elderly man, the courier wondered which prestigious member of the Guild he would have the honor of serving today, after receiving the order from the elderly man to add on Elizabeth's books to the money he was tasked with retrieving.

"Right away, sir…" The courier said as he moved with unprecedented haste to do his job.

After the courier left, Elizabeth realized that the elderly man hadn't asked for her card. A bit annoyed as she thought that perhaps the woman from the receptionist's office had lied to her, she asked, "Aren't you supposed to check my Guild Card? You didn't impose the 5% fee on me in advance, did you?"

"Ah! I knew I forgot something… Sorry, but could you show me your Guild Card now? I didn't detract from your payout as I assumed you were from Ulterian Guild." The elderly man, upon realizing his mistake pleaded as he would suffer a pay cut if this incident was made known to the higher-ups in the Guild.

Elizabeth shrugged her shoulders, 'After I joined this Guild, I better not be paying some stupid fee…' She handed over her Guild Card and after seeing the expression on the elderly man, she knew she had made the right decision to stimulate his acupoints as he would definitely be knocked out cold had she not moved proactively.

The man read the contents of Elizabeth's Guild Card no less than five times. He even rubbed his eyes as if to make sure he wasn't seeing incorrectly, but seeing as the information never changed, he finally couldn't help but screech: "SSS-Class… MAGE?"

"Yeah, but I'm from this Guild, so you better not add that 5% fee…" Ignoring the source of the man's shock as if it was but a trivial matter, Elizabeth restated what was of most importance to her. If she weren't a beautiful "Supreme Mage of Destruction," the average person would liken her to some sort of miser.

"O-of c-c-course…" The elderly man said before promptly turning silence; unwilling to look at Elizabeth.

The scene became tense as neither Elizabeth nor the elderly man spoke until at last, the courier returned with a small pouch filled with Platinum Coins and a pile of books on each of his hands. He was a Level 3 Mortal Practitioner so even if it looked like he'd be overwhelmed by the weight of the books, he didn't even break into a sweat.

Smiling at the sight of her new treasures, Elizabeth brought out some Storage Talismans before promptly putting everything away. She discreetly added the filled talismans into her Spatial Ring before departing from the booth without bothering with the elderly man and courier who had appeared to be smitten by her frivolous display of wealth; to them, the Storage Enchantment was a rare Spatial Treasure.

With her business in the Exchange Hub completed, Elizabeth returned to the reception area. Meeting with the same receptionist from before, she awkwardly requested a room to camp by as she read through the books she got in the Exchange Hub. After the receptionist explained to her the differences in the rooms she could rent as well their price, Elizabeth settled with paying 10 Gold for one of the rooms of the highest quality. Whereas most people rented by the month, because she and the members of her party agreed on spending only 25 hours in the Shadow Realm, Elizabeth only rented the high-class suite for a day.

She traded a platinum coin to pay for her lodging and received 90 Gold Coins as change before the receptionist gave her the key to her room. After getting the directions to her room, Elizabeth headed for the elevator and took a ride up to the 25th floor. There, she went towards her room, Room 2507, and was surprised by how well this world's definition of high-class measured up with that of modern Earth's standard.

In all honesty, it was at the level of a Five-Star hotel resort on Earth. With three separate bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room or lounging area, a kitchen, and a balcony view overlooking the city, the room could comfortably house an entire family. The room even came with various amenities in the form of artifacts. From what Elizabeth could tell there was the artifact equivalent for TV, air conditioning, artificial heating, and even a humidity setter.

Impressed, Elizabeth sat on one of the chairs in the living room before dumping the various books she had recently acquired on the coffee table before her. She materialized a snack from her near-endless reserves and indulged as she sat back and began reading. Of course, to her, a snack consisted of a full course meal.

Though she had over a dozen thick tomes to read, because of her Neutral Magic's application in scanning, even though her reading speed was cut as she needed to use it in conjunction with her Basic Translation Spell, she still read the books at a rate of one tome every ten minutes.

"Zoey! Over here!"

I almost cried in relief when I heard Damien's voice and saw his hand waving at an empty desk next to him.

"Hi." I sat down and smiled gratefully at him.

"Are you ready for your first day?"

No.

I nodded. "Yep." I wanted to say more, but just then a bell gave five quick rings and as the echo of it died Neferet swept into the room. She was wearing a long black skirt slit up the side to show great stiletto boots, and a deep purple silk sweater. Over her left breast, embroidered in silver, was the image of a goddess with her arms upraised, hands cupping a crescent moon. Her black hair was pulled back into a thick braid. The series of delicate wavelike tattoos that framed her face made her look like an ancient warrior priestess. She smiled at us and I could see that the entire class was as caught as I was by her powerful presence.

"Good evening! I've been looking forward to beginning this unit. Delving into the rich sociology of the Amazons is one of my favorites." Then she gestured to me. "It is excellent timing that Zoey Redbird has joined us today. I am Zoey's mentor, so I'll expect my students to welcome her. Damien, would you please get Zoey a textbook? Her cabinet is next to yours. While you explain our locker system to her I want the rest of you to journal about what preconceived impressions you have of the ancient vampyre warriors who are known as the Amazons."

The typical paper rustling and student whispering commenced while Damien led me to the back of the classroom where there was a wall of cabinets. He opened one that had the number "12" in silver on it. The cabinet contained neat, wide shelves filled with textbooks and supplies.

"At the House of Night there aren't lockers, like at regular schools. Here, first hour is our homeroom and we each have a cabinet of our own. The room will always be open, so you come back here to get books and whatever, just like you would go to a locker in the hall. Here's the sociology book."

He handed me a thick leather book with the silhouette of a goddess stamped on the front of it along with the title, Vampyre Sociology 101. I grabbed a notebook and a couple of pens. When I shut the cabinet door I hesitated.

"Isn't there a lock or something?"

"No," Damien lowered his voice. "They don't need locks here. If someone steals something, the vamps know it. I don't even want to think about what would happen to someone stupid enough to do that."

We sat back down and I started to write about the only thing I knew about the Amazons—that they were warrior women who didn't have much use for men— but my mind wasn't on my work. Instead, I was wondering why Damien, Stevie Rae, and even Erin and Shaunee all freak out about getting in trouble. I mean, I'm a good kid—okay, not perfect, but still. I've only had detention once so far, and that wasn't my fault. Really. Some turd boy told me to suck his cock. What was I supposed to do? Cry? Giggle? Pout? Umm . no...So instead I bitch-slapped him (although I prefer just using the word smacked), and I got detention for it.

Anyway, detention wasn't actually that bad. I got all my homework done and started the new Gossip Girls book. Clearly detention at the House of Night entailed more than going to a teacher's classroom for forty-five minutes of "quiet time" after school. I'd have to remember to ask Stevie Rae...

"First, what pieces of the Amazon tradition do we still practice at the House of Night?" Neferet asked, drawing my attention back to class.

Damien raised his hand. "The bow of respect, with our fist over our heart, comes from the Amazons, and so does the way we shake hands—by gripping forearms."

"Correct, Damien."

Huh. That explained the funny handshake.

"So, what preconceived notions do you have about the Amazon warriors?" she asked the class.

A blonde who sat on the other side of the room said, "The Amazons were heavily matriarchal, as are all vampyre societies." Jeesh, she sounded smart.

"That's true, Elizabeth, but when people discuss the Amazons, legend tends to add an additional layer to history. What do I mean by that?"

"Well, people—especially humans—think that the Amazons were man- haters," said Damien.

"Exactly. What we know is that just because a society is matriarchal, as ours is, it does not automatically mean that it is anti- male. Even Nyx has a consort, the god Erebus, to whom she is devoted. The Amazons were unique, though, in that they were a society of vampyre women who chose to be their own warriors and protectors. As most of you already know, our society today is still matriarchal, but we respect and appreciate the Sons of Night, and consider them our protectors and consorts. Now, open your text to Chapter Three and let's look at the greatest of the Amazon warriors, Penthesilea, but be careful to keep legend and history separate in your mind."

And from there Neferet launched into one of the coolest lectures I'd ever heard. I had no idea an hour had passed; the ringing bell was a total surprise. I'd just shoved my sociology book back into my cubbie (okay, I know that Damien and Neferet called them cabinets, but come on—they totally remind me of the cubbies we used to have in kindergarten) when Neferet called my name. I grabbed a notebook and a pen and hurried over to her desk.

"How are you?" she asked, smiling warmly.

"I'm okay. I'm good." I said quickly.

She lifted an eyebrow at me.

"Well, I suppose I'm nervous and confused."

"Of course you are. It's a lot to take in, and changing schools is always difficult—let alone changing schools and lives." She glanced over my shoulder. "Damien, would you walk Zoey to Drama class?"

"Sure," Damien said.

"Zoey, I'll see you tonight at Ritual. Oh, and has Aphrodite issued a formal invitation for you to join the Dark Daughters in their private ceremony afterward?"

"Yes."

"I wanted to double-check with you and make sure that you feel fine about attending. I would, of course, understand your reticence, but I encourage you to go; I want you to take advantage of every opportunity here, and the Dark Daughters is an exclusive organization. It is a compliment that they already seem interested in you as a possible pledge."

"I'm fine with going." I forced my voice and my smile to be nonchalant. Obviously she expected me to go, and the last thing I wanted was for Neferet to be disappointed in me. Plus, no way in hell was I going to do anything that might make Aphrodite think I was scared of her.

"Well done." Neferet said with enthusiasm. She squeezed my arm and I automatically smiled at her. "If you need me my office is in the same wing as the infirmary." She glanced at my forehead. "I see the stitches have almost completely dissolved. That's excellent. Does your head still hurt?"

My hand automatically found its way up to my temple. I could only feel the prickle of a stitch or two today when there had been at least ten yesterday. Very, very weird. And, even weirder, I hadn't thought about the cut once this morning.

I also realized I hadn't thought about my mom or Heath or even Grandma Redbird....

"No," I said, suddenly realizing Neferet and Damien were waiting for me to answer. "No, my head doesn't hurt at all."

"Good! Well, you two better go before you're late. I know you'll love Drama. I think Professor Nolan has just begun working on monologues."

I was halfway down the hall, hurrying to keep up with Damien when it hit me.

"How did she know I was going to take Drama? I just decided it this morning."

"Adult vamps know way too much sometimes," Damien whispered. "Scratch that. Adult vamps know way too much all the time, especially when that vamp is a High Priestess."

In light of what I hadn't been telling Neferet I didn't want to think about that too long.

"Hey, y'all!" Stevie Rae rushed up. "How was Vamp Soc? Did y'all start the Amazons?"

"It was cool." I was glad to change the subject from the too mysterious vampyres. "I had no idea they really cut off their right breasts to keep them out of the way."

"They wouldn't have had to if they'd been as flat as me," said Stevie Rae, looking down at her own chest.

"Or me," sighed Damien dramatically.

I was still giggling when they pointed me to the Drama room.

Professor Nolan didn't ooze power like Neferet. Instead she oozed energy. She had an athletic, but somehow pear-shaped body. Her brunet hair was long and straight. And Stevie Rae had been right—she had a serious Texas twang.

"Zoey, welcome! Have a seat anywhere."

I said hi and sat beside the Elizabeth girl I recognized from Vamp Soc. She looked friendly enough and I already knew she was smart. (It never hurts to sit next to a smart kid.)

"We're just about to begin choosing the monologues that each of you will present to the class sometime next week. But first, I thought you'd like to have a demonstration of how a monologue should be performed, so I asked one of our talented upperclassmen to stop by and recite the famous monologue from Othello, written by the ancient vampyre playwright, Shakespeare." Professor Nolan paused and glanced out of the window in the door. "Here he is now."

The door opened and oh my dear sweet lord I do believe my heart totally stopped beating. I'm positive my mouth flopped open like a moron. He was the most gorgeous young lad I had ever seen. He was tall and had dark hair that did that adorably perfect Superman curl thing. His eyes were an amazing sapphire blue and...

Oh. Hell! Hell! Hell! It was the guy from the hall.

"Come on in, Erik. As usual, your entrance timing is perfect. We are ready for your monologue." She turned back to the class. "Most of you already know fifth former, Erik Night, and are aware that he won last year's worldwide House of Night monologue competition, the finals of which were held in London. He is also already creating a buzz in Hollywood as well as on Broadway for his performance last semester as Tony in our production of West Side Story. The class is all yours, Erik." Prof Nolan beamed.

As if my body were suddenly on automatic, I clapped with the rest of the class. Smiling and confident, Erik stepped up on the little stage that was situated front and center in the large, airy classroom.

"Hi. How are you guys doing?"

He spoke directly to me. I mean, directly to me. I could feel my face getting really hot.

"Monologues seem intimidating, but the key is to get your lines down, and then to imagine that you're actually acting with a full cast of actors. Trick yourself into thinking you're not up here all alone, like this..."

And he began the monologue from Othello. I don't know much about the play, except that it's one of Shakespeare's tragedies, but Erik's performance was amazing. He was a tall guy, probably at least six feet, but as he began to speak he seemed to get bigger and older and more powerful. His voice deepened and he took on an accent I couldn't place. His incredible eyes darkened and narrowed into slits, and when he said Desdemona's name it was like he was praying. It was obvious he loved her, even before he spoke the concluding lines:

She loved me for the dangers I had passed, And I loved her that she did pity them.

As he said the last two lines his eyes locked with mine and, just like in the hall the day before, it seemed as if there was no one else in the room—no one else in the world. I felt a shiver deep inside of something very much like what I'd felt the two times I'd smelled blood since I'd been Marked, only no blood had been spilled in the room. There was only Erik. And then he smiled, touched his lips to his fingers as though he was sending me a kiss, and bowed. The whole class clapped like crazy, including me. Really. I couldn't help it.

"Now, that's how it's done," Professor Nolan said. "So, there are copies of monologues in the red bookshelves at the rear of the class. Each of you take several books and begin looking through them. What you're trying to find is a scene that means something to you—that touches some part of your soul. I'll be circulating and can answer any questions you have about individual monologues. Once you've chosen your pieces, I'll go through the steps you'll need to take as you prepare your own presentation." With an energetic smile and nod, she motioned for us to start looking through the zillions of monologue books.

I still felt flushed and short of breath, but I got up with the rest of the class, even though I couldn't help peeking at Erik over my shoulder. He was (unfortunately) leaving the room, but not before he turned and caught me gawking at him. I blushed (again). He met my eyes and smiled directly at me (again). And then he was gone.

"He's so f-ing hot," someone whispered in my ear. I turned and, shockingly, Ms. Perfect Student Elizabeth was staring after Erik and fanning herself.

"Doesn't he have a girlfriend?" I blurted like an idiot.

"Only in my dreams," Elizabeth said. "Actually, word has it that he and Aphrodite used to be hooked up, but I've been here for a few months and it's been over between them at least that long. Here ya go," she tossed a couple of monologue books at me. "I'm Elizabeth, no last name."

My face was a question mark.

She sighed. "My last name was Titsworth. Can you imagine? When I got here a few weeks ago and my mentor explained that I could change my name to whatever I wanted it to be, I knew I was going to get rid of the Titsworth part, but then the whole issue of picking a new last name just stressed me too much. So I decided I'd keep my first name and not hassle with a last name." Elizabeth No Last Name shrugged.

"Well, hi," I said. There were really some odd kids here.

"Hey," she said as we went back to our desks. "Erik was looking at you."

"He was looking at everyone," I said, even though I could feel my stupid face getting all hot and red again.

"Yeah, but he was really looking at you." She grinned and added, "Oh, I think your colored-in Mark is cool."

"Thanks." It probably looked weird as hell on my beet-red face.

"Any questions about choosing a monologue, Zoey?" Professor Nolan asked, making me jump.

"No, Professor Nolan. I've done them before in drama at SIHS."

"Very good. Let me know if I can clarify setting or character for you." She patted me on the arm and kept moving around the room. I opened up the first book and started to flip through the pages, trying (unsuccessfully) to forget about Erik and concentrate on monologues.

He had been looking at me. But why? He must have known that it had been me in the hall. So what kind of interest in me was he showing? And did I want a guy to like me who had been getting a blow job from the hateful Aphrodite? I probably shouldn't. I mean, I definitely wasn't going to take up where she left off. Or maybe he was just curious about my freakishly colored-in Mark, like practically everybody else was.

But it hadn't seemed like it it had seemed like he'd been looking at me.

And I'd liked it.

I glanced down at the book I'd been ignoring. The page was open to the sub-chapter: Dramatic Monologues for Women. The first monologue on the page was from Always Ridiculous by Jose Echegaray.

Well, hell. It was probably a sign.

Alexander was in the room thinking about what has happened, he didn't know how he could kill that woman without touching her, although he doesn't regret killing her, after all if he wasn't weak because of his earlier transformation he wouldn't have been caught, he has been in many problems like this. Although his mother has always be extremely secretive about her powers he knows everything, when he was a child he heard her many times talking about things that only in fantasy books you would read about, and he is in no way stupid... Well he is a little stupid but not in those kind of things. 
Lost in his mind he didn't realize that someone was coming until the door was open. 
"You killed my daughter!!!"
"..."
"How did you kill her? What kind of magic did you use? Was it some instrument your mother gave you? Give it to me!!"
"I didn't kill her"
"Don't lie!!! My daughter's ghost appeared in front of me and said it, ghost can't lie!!"
"She wanted to **** me and she just die"
"**** you? How dare you say that?!! My daughter is extremely beautiful, if she wanted you then you wouldn't have the will to resist"
"I'm sorry to tell you but I already have my lover, even if she was the most beautiful woman in the world I wouldn't spare an eye to her"

The headmaster was preparing a spell to kill Alexander when suddenly a gate guard came. 
"Master, master, bad news, Catalina is coming" the guard said afraid. 
"What?!!"
Although the witches think of themselves as the strongest among their peers in reality they were afraid of Catalina's power. It wasn't only because of her own power but because she took all the wizards under her wings and although wizards are weaker than witches, they are more in quantity so in two wizards are against one witch, the wizards will win, and that is only with magical power, but because wizards didn't have strong powers they have more strength so they will win in every way.
