Emica Kana is 18 years old. She has always loved writing stories., They were her escape from reality. She always wished that a man would come and save her like they always do in the stories.
Well, she got her wish.
Emica entered a small writing school that was near a river. Her friend had joined her. But, the teacher had an odd vibe around him. Emica became a little scared of him. She especially became scared when the teacher started to pay more attention to her. One day, when she runs from him, she falls into a world of adventure, risk, and abnormalities. 
But, her teacher is what scares her more than this new world. What secrets and schemes did he use to get her here?

Leonie is a student writer and the vice- president of their school’s literary club where she already published diverse creative fiction and nonfiction output. That summer, their school opened a competition about writing a story- blog where it will be followed by the school’s students and others who find the story very powerful. The student who will win the competition shall be given full scholar for the coming school year. With the power of the quill, she will write a story where she could change her life.

After a wonderful summer vacation, it was finally time to go to college for the first time. I had spent the whole entire summer packing, and deciding what things should stay behind as well as the things I should give away.


It was depressing to say goodbye to Matthew. We had all said goodbye to him as a group, but we couldn't have a farewell party because he had his grad party the night before with his family.


Instead, we had a group get together at a restaurant to say goodbye to him. Well, we all had burgers and milkshakes.


The saddest person other than me was surprisingly James. It seemed that in a way the two had become closer over the last couple months.


Matthew left that night.


His phone still worked, and he texted me from time to time over that summer vacation, but the texts became less and less frequent.


It seemed that he had settled into England pretty well, and he was loving the Oxford campus a lot. He had met new people, and had also started attending business meetings with his father.


He seemed to be happy.


Meanwhile, I was enjoying my summer by going to the beach and hanging out with friends as well with family. I was enjoying every last minute of it. It was quite a relaxing summer, perfect for before the first year of college.


However, then I found myself ready to go to UCLA.


My bags were packed, and in the car. My family was gathered, and a few of my friends. And... James was there too, speaking with some of my relatives.


I gave a hug to each person there, and then got into my car to drive off. James also decided to leave the same time that I did. And so, we began our drives to college.


Many hours and cups of coffee later, I found myself on the UCLA campus. It was gorgeous, and I was so happy to find myself finally there.


"Hello, UCLA," I murmured under my breath. "My name's Miyah, and I'm so ready for this year."


But... I missed James. I missed Matthew. I already missed my family...


It was going to be a long year...


I bit my bottom lip.


It was too late now to turn back.


I parked my car in front of the administration building, and then entered the edifice. The lady at the front desk was kind enough to give me my schedule and help point out where the dorms were.


Then, I went to go find my dorm. When I got there, there was a girl there on one of the beds already. Her hair was red, and she had it up in a ponytail. Her eyes were brown, but a beautiful shade of the color. She glanced over at me, and then got up. "Ah! You must be one of my roommates!"


I nodded.


She stuck her hand out. "Hey, I'm Kyan Knights. Strange name, I know. Whatever. What's your name?"


I blinked once. It almost seemed as if she had chugged down an ounce of sugar and then five cups of coffee. "Nice to meet you," I said as I reached out my hand for a handshake. "The name's Miyah. Miyah Hatfield."


"It's a pleasure," she responded.


We let go of each others hands, and spent the time getting to know each other better.


We both liked the color blue, specifically turquoise. We both came from smaller towns in California, and had managed to get into our dream school.


"Oh. Also, I'm part of the softball team," she added.


"That's awesome!" I said.


Suddenly, the door was swung open, and two other girls entered. They froze when they saw us, but then smiled. "We're the other two roommates."


The one to the left was blonde, tall, and had curly hair. Naturally, her eyes were blue. In a way, they reminded me of James's eyes, since they were nearly the same shade of blue. Yet... James's was a bit warmer than her eyes were.


The one to the right had black hair that went down to her waist and bangs. She was much shorter than the girl to the left.


The girl to the right introduced herself first. "Hello. I'm Kloe Trujillo."


"I'm Ellenor Greenaway," the blonde one to the left said soon after.


After that, we all got to know each other better.


My first class was exciting, and I had it with Ellenor. I was very excited, and quite content that I was able to have my first class with someone that I knew. However, when we went to class, she immediately began to socialize, and I was left on my own.


She ditched me.


I let out a sigh, and set my gaze on a random seat. There was already someone sitting next to it. I neared the seat, and asked, "Can I sit here?"


The guy nodded.


"Thank you," I said as I sat down. After a pause, I decided that it would be best for me to introduce myself. "I'm Miyah."


"I'm Miles."


"Nice to meet you."


"Likewise."


The class was about creative writing. It was an elective course, but I had wanted to take one class that I would enjoy before taking more classes that would be more career related.


And it seemed as if the class was quite enjoyable. The first day we were allowed to write whatever came to our minds, and then we were dismissed. After getting the syllabus, of course.


Miles was an interesting guy. It seemed like he was going to major in computer sciences, but he also enjoyed writing, and thus decided to join the class.


He lived in LA, so he commuted from nearby, although I wasn't too sure what 'nearby' meant.


Once class ended, I had another class to attend, and I had this class with Kloe. She, unlike Ellenor, stayed by my side the whole entire class period. I got to know her a lot better, and decided I liked her.


I was not to keen about Ellenor, but I would tolerate her.


My first day at UCLA was great. And I was happy.

"We probably looked like a couple crazy in love. But, of course we would. We had concocted our pretend relationship perfectly, keeping the mask on until we could turn and hiss at each other in private once again. In an ironic way, the guy I hated the most was also the only person who knew the real me."




Miyah knew James since they were young. Yet, Miyah can't stand the guy...

One day, as James gets surrounded by friends and girls that are interested in him, he suddenly announces that he and Miyah are dating. 

Miyah decides to play along. However, she's always had feelings for her old best friend from elementary, whom she sees once again. 


James has always liked Miyah. For some reason, she's always hated him. James decides to show Miyah that he's different than what she thinks and so he forces her to pretend to date him and to finally see him for the person he is.

I opened my eyes from a dreamless slumber, as the sun behind me from my window woke me up. I can feel my back getting a little wet with sweat. It is summer, so the sun is warm. My eyelashes against my hair is making my eyes irritated, and some of it even went between my lips. 

I saw the room as it was lit up by the invading sunlight, papers and bottles scattered throughout the place that I never cared to clean them, because of how scarce my time is. My posters of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Bridge to Terabithia lined up on the walls. Even though I am Japanese, I read a lot of untranslated English books. Because you can sum up my life as a life full of books. I've read hundreds of books since I was a child.

I sat up on my bed and thought about this day as another day.

Another day in this body. 

A paper thin body. 

Thin enough to be satisfied by bits of food. 

Food not from my chosen profession.

But from a part-time job.

I faced at the mirror and looked at my body. It is very thin indeed. I am not at least concerned on how I look, for it doesn't matter for me. How I look doesn't affect my writing. My vision is blurry, because I needed glasses to see, but it is fine. I am still inside my familiar home. I don't need to see to find things, but memory of where I put them as they are. 

I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I put just enough to toothpaste on the toothbrush so that it could last me for a few more days. It was minty and fresh. I looked at the mirror on the sink. Damn, I look horrible. 

After I finished with it, I always comb my hair before I went to shower, because mom said that the hair is weak when wet. Combing the hair after a bath will destroy it. I always kept doing it that way, and I should tell you that my hair is the only thing that's been taken care of in this apartment. We had this family tradition of taking a good care of the hair. She even sends me shampoos and hair products to keep my hair healthy. 

I went to have a shower. It is very refreshing, and I didn't need to worry about the water being cold, for it is summer. God bless summer. I stayed there for a while after I finished putting shampoo and stuff. I don't know why, but the splashing sounds, and the flowing water on my skin makes me feel relaxed. After that, I used other hair products for my hair.

I changed into my strap and shorts so that I could get started writing a new light novel story.

I wonder if something changes. 

A change that will change my life. 

A life of repeating a day like this. 

That makes me feel like I am trapped in an endless loop of time. 

I want something to change. 

I went to the fridge to get some apple. One is enough to fill my stomach for a day. I know it's unhealthy kind of diet, but I have no choice, because I have a rent to worry about. Thinking of that, I need to work on my new story now, so I pulled a piece of A4 paper from inside the drawer of my desk, and put on my glasses. 

I am really particular about the time, so I always check it whenever I get the chance. In that way, I can be more productive. I looked at my phone, and it is 10:36 am of July 20, 2019, so I got no time to waste. I started writing. 

I don't have galleries of my friends, but only a gallery of rejected manuscripts in the shelf beside me at the right. These manuscripts were rejected only because the publisher said that I don't understand the feelings of my characters so it makes the story unnatural. 

I don't have many friends since I was a child. All I ever had was my books. Most of the time, I would sit on a bench under a tree, and away from the other kids so that I could read my book in peace. I even doubt that my classmates even remember me. 

I am amazed by the world the writers create with their imagination, and how they stir up the emotions of the readers, even if they are just written characters on a piece of paper. It inspired me to write my own story to share the wonders of fiction. 

My mother realized this, and she believed in me without a second thought. She believed that I could become a great writer someday, and that I could do great things. She gave me a big book on my 8th birthday. Tokugawa Ieyasu - the longest Japanese novel ever written in one book. I loved it, and that was the day that I decided to make her proud.

My mother and me were left by my father after he passed away when I was only two years old. I only heard stories about him from my mother, and she told every story like he never died. I know it was hard for her to raise me alone, but she didn't give up to stop my uncle interfering with my life. She said that my uncle who is her older brother is now the head of the family that owns a great area of rice fields. Arranged marriages were a thing in her family. It's even a reason why she escaped from them and lived with my father, in Chiba. She's afraid that I will not be free to choose who I loved if I stayed there with uncle. 

I am finished with my new story, and I see that it is already 3:10 pm. It is time to take this manuscript to the publishing company. I changed into my "going out" clothes - which is simply a summer sweater and a loose jeans. I don't like showing my skin, because it is embarrassing, even if it is summer. 

I went out with my manuscript inside my cheap, brown handbag. Then there were three women at the balcony of the open corridors of the apartment. They were looking at the view of Tokyo from the this floor. They are at the far right, but I could tell what they are whispering about. I acted like I didn't hear. 

"Here comes the cave woman," one of them whispered while I locked my door. They laughed softly. This happens every morning that I got used to it eventually. I don't bother to confront them as much as I hate it, unless they touch me. 

I went to climb down the stairs, because I feel uncomfortable taking the elevator with other people. I am living in the 8th floor of this building, so it's quite tiresome when going up. 

On the train station, that is a ten minute walk from my apartment, I went through one of the gates with my IC card. Then I fell in line behind the people who are waiting for the next train. 

I am passing this manuscript to a publishing company where all of my friends work (two of them, to be exact).

A train arrived and we entered, and a lot of people went out of the cabs. After that, we entered and luckily, I found an empty seat at the left side of the train, just near the door. 

I spent my time reading a light novel I bought yesterday. After a couple of minutes, I finally arrived at the train station I am getting off. Now, it is just a twenty minute walk to the publishing company. 

I saw the building, where it was based. It is averagely beautiful like the rest of the buildings here in Tokyo. I went to the entrance, and there was a guard walking around the area it is located. 

"Good afternoon, Matsuno-san!" I greeted him, while bowing. He is one of my friends in this building. I always have to pass by him everyday I went here. He is a man near the retiring age, but he was kind and always radiant because of his smile, as much as he loves his job very much. 

"Oh," he smiled at me. "Good afternoon to you too, Hattori-chan." 

I stopped for a minute for a chat. It wouldn't hurt if only just for a minute. "How's your daughter doing in school?" I asked. 

"She's doing great. And how about you? Did you finish another story?"

"Yes, I am about to hand it over."

"Good," he smiled. "Good luck, and do your best! May your work be published."

I bowed down once more and said, "Thank you, I'll do my best."

I went inside, and to the elevator. I don't like it, but I have to, so I could pass my work in schedule. My other friend is Takeda that I've known since high school. He works here as a copy editor. I always hand my manuscripts to him so he could make the leading editor check it out. I always crossed my fingers, wishing that this time I will get published. I crossed my fingers a hundred times, but none of my stories were published. I feel heavy inside everytime I do this. I would've given up a long time ago, but that's not me. I don't break a promise. 

The door of the elevator opened and I did the proper etiquette in elevators. I felt relieved after I went out. It was really uncomfortable for me even if I do it everyday.

A man standing up while reading a piece of paper in his office. The whole office was full of papers and books of different kinds. There are many notes posted on the walls, and the computer is still running. The man looked serious about his work, and shows his dedication for it. He adjusts his glasses everytime it slips while reading. 

"Takeda-kun," said someone from the other side of his small office. Takeda is the name of the man holding a paper, and he stopped what he's doing. "Hattori-chan is looking for you." He pulled a munscript from the shelf. "How long are you gonna keep her waiting?" Suddenly, he put up a smile, and went to the door. 

"Right, right," he said. 

"Waiting for you to ask her out?" said the man and laughed. 

"Oh, just shut up."

He opened it and saw Hattori brushing her hair over her left ear while looking to the side. She was startled that her glasses slipped, so she fixed it and put up a smile. while looking at Takeda. 

Takeda thought: "So cute..."

"Good afternoon, Takeda-kun," she said. "May I give my manuscript?"

He smiled and said, "Ah, of course."

"I hope I am not interrupting anything," she said while leaning to see what's going on inside. 

Takeda takes the manuscript. "Don't be like that, Hattori-chan. We've been friends for a long time. I will never hesitate to help you."

"Oh, uhh... Thank you so much, Takeda-kun."

"Don't mention it."

"Hey, TAKEDA!" said an angry woman who seems to be the boss. "No slacking off!"

He looked nervous as he answered while turning his whole body back to the office. "Yes, I'm sorry. I'll get back to work as soon as possible, Miyashita-sensei!"

"Stop being so noisy, Takeda-kun!" said a random officemate.

"I'm sorry!"

He hands her over a different manuscript while smiling nervously. He closes the door slowly and said, "I'll see you later, bye..."

"I'm sorry," she whispered. 

"Okay."

Finally, the door closed.

I really got him into a trouble. I feel guilty about it.

I looked at the manuscript he gave me.

"Welcome to the collection," I said to the it.

I don't know why I keep storing them, but I felt bad when thinking of throwing them away.

"Still not giving up," I said to myself, while crossing my fingers. 

I went home after that, and it is already dusk when I came back, because I took some time to think about another story by walking slowly. I entered my apartment, and I saw my cat. I didn't see him this morning, because he goes out sometimes through the window at the kitchen. I specifically chose this apartment so that I could keep him. Meet Akihiko, my beloved cat. He rubbed his head against my foot. I carried him up like a baby - because that's what he wants. 

He is a cat that I just found in the streets years ago, when I was still studying in college. major in creative writing. I love cats, but my mother didn't let me have one, so I decided that I will have a cat as soon as I start living alone. I thought about what kind of breed I will get, but then I saw him. He was just a little kitten back then. He was so thin and dirty, and when I took him home, I washed and fed him. His beautiful grey fur showed. 

I lied down my bed after changing my clothes, and looked up to the ceiling, while Akihiko slept on the bed. I thought about my lacking. My characters don't decide like real human beings. That's because I isolated myself from other people so I didn't have the chance to observe their actual behavior. I kind of regret that. I wish I knew earlier that writing isn't just learning from books. I have to do something about it. 

But it is time for work. 

I stood up and I realized I am shedding a tear. I didn't yawn or anything, but I definitely felt disappointed. I wiped it and went to change into my working clothes.

Hattori, a girl that aspires to have one of her light novels to be published. Her dull life where nothing ever happens changed after she met and fell in love with Ishida. However, her dreams to become a published author depends on her relationship with her childhood friend, Takeda who always have been with her and loves her. 

What will she choose? A life with her dreams or a life with her love?

Chapter one: A Day At The Lake



I woke to the rumbling purr of Ares. He curled his paws under his body as he laid on my chest. I struggled to open my eyes to see my adorable kitty. His gray and brown fur lined with black stripes was so soft to the touch. He was my familiar. An animal who is deeply connected to a witch and assists them in magical affairs. He can't talk, but we can understand one another in different ways. 

It was summer break, one year into collage, and school was already harder than I thought. Not English. I was already finished with those classes. I was planning on taking some creative writing classes in the coming year for fun, but math had me stumped. I was at the lowest level and trying to get a science degree. A witch with a science degree. Wouldn't that be great. After that, I would go on to a university to try for a master's degree in zoology. If I could make it that long.

I had turned nineteen a few weeks ago. I didn't feel my age. Half of the time I felt like a child.

It was Tuesday, and Elizabeth and I had a whole day of hanging out planned. I needed a day out. I usually spend most of my time inside. Witches need to spend a lot of time outside to gather magical energy from the elements. Liz and I are not always great at being witches though. Since we both live in the crappy part of the city, there isn't much nature. Lucky for us there is a small man-made lake within walking distance. It's where the "rich houses" started, so it was usually lush with trees. The water, however, was infested with bacteria from birds and peoples moldy bread.

Liz and I were pretty much introverts. Her more so than me. She spent most of her time reading and I spent mine writing. We made a great team. She studied books on witchcraft passed down by other witches, while I practice the art of creating new spells. I am pretty good at it. I am what was known as a manipulator. A witch who naturally moves and changes energy... aka spells. Liz was an empath. She could tell what others are feeling and thinking. She also could feel and see the flow of magic. Kind of jealous of that. 

After I dressed in boot cut jeans and a light blue tank top, I peeked into my sister's room. Serena was playing on her tablet, listening to boy band music. Fitting, considering her walls were covered in posters of male pop sensations. 

"Serena. Want to come with me and Liz to the lake today?" I asked her.

"Not today. I'm going over to Bridgette's later. Her mom is picking me up." She never stopped looking at her tablet. 

Serena and I had gotten closer since I started college. Most of my friends and I started to drift apart already, and we were constantly arguing with mom. We both felt pretty lonely and decided we should be friends instead of sibling rivals.

"Ok, I'm heading out then. See ya!" I texted Liz that I was on my way.

Mom was still laying on the couch. She didn't have her own room. We were living in a two bedroom apartment and, though we fought almost daily, mom always tried to put us first. I am sure she also did not want to deal with my sister and I fighting over space in one room. 

My mom was a plump woman. Her health issues didn't allow her to do too much for too long. It was hard to try and lose weight. Even so, everyone in our family has natural curves. We all have "bubble butts" as my mom would say, and boobs to match. Even when my mom was skinny, she looked like an hourglass. 

"Morning honey." Mom paused her show.

"Good morning. I'm heading over to Liz's." I grabbed my backpack.

"Have fun." She said, "I'm leaving for work soon, so I'll be back around 9:30 tonight. I love you!"

"Love you too, mom." With that, I scurried out the door and wound my way through the gray apartment buildings with dirty concrete stairs and newly painted black doors. Luckily we were in the same complex, so I didn't have to go far. 

As I made my way through the apartment's playground, I saw Liz heading down from her apartment on the second floor. Good, I hated stairs. I was happy to be on a ground floor.

Liz pinned back the front of her dark brown hair so it wouldn't get in her face. She was in her usual black tank and jeans too long for either of us. 

"Sam!" She yelled, as she ran up to me. She widened her eyes, showed all of her teeth and pulled her head back to make a triple chin look. I screamed and hid behind the nearest tree. I laughed as she jumped out from around the tree trunk. She pretended to hump my leg and pushed her off as I shuttered. That's my bestie. Always trying to make me as uncomfortable as possible.

"Liz!" I licked my hand and wiped it on her face. 

She screamed "Eeewww!"

We walked to the dollar store a few blocks away and bought snacks and drinks. The summer heat was already beating down on me. I couldn't stand being too hot. As much as I loved the swimming, walking barefoot and wearing tank tops that comes with summer, I absolutely loved the winter time. Winter brought snow. The snow holds intense magic within it, and here in northern Nevada, we usually got lots of it come winter time. 

We made our way to the lake. In the middle of the shallow brown water sat two large fountains spewing out in every direction. It made it sound peaceful, despite the chatter of people walking the trail or the buzz of cars passing by. 

Liz and I had two favorite spots. The first was the dock. We found the entrance ramp that was lined in tall bushes and grasses and raced to the T shaped, white dock bouncing on the water. It was lined with railing and secured from floating away by large poles. 

We sat at the end eating our snacks. I pulled out a coke from my Frozen themed backpack, and Liz grabbed a Pepsi from her mini black back pack. Yes, I was obsessed with Disney. I told you I always felt more like a child.

"Pepsi is my soda husband." Liz said.

"What?" I gasped. "No way, we have to share. You can share coke with me."

"Nah, you can keep coke, I'll take Dr. Pepper." She winked.

"Deal. It's a shame, we'll have to find new husbands when were done with these." The coke burned my throat as I slurped it down.

"It's ok. I've got back ups at home." We both laughed.

"Do you think we sound crazy?" I asked.

"Sam... We're secret witches, staring at a man-made lake, while talking about soda husbands... we are crazy 'tupid head." 

I loved our weird talks. Half of the time we made no sense or were completely inappropriate. It was nice to have friends as weird and random as I was. Even my high school friends were super odd. Not everyone can handle all my crazy. 

Sharon was like an older sister. We were sister witches bound by magic. We had many fights in the past, but could never stand to stay apart for too long. It's not easy to be the only practicing witch around. I know she likes to be seen as tough, and she is, but I knew Liz didn't like to always feel alone. Her family were all bible thumpers and we didn't live in a great place for making friends – human or other. Most people our age around here were into drugs, wanabe gangs, or already on their second kid.

We moved to our second favorite spot a bit further down the lake. It was a small circle surrounded by trees and large rocks. It had some small broken statues and an unused water fountain just on the other side. This was our place of worship. There wasn't many choices in the city to hold sacred rituals in the arms of nature, so we made do with what we had. I'm sure most people were too high or stuck on their cell phones to notice us chanting, lighting candles and wearing strange clothes. Or they thought we were on crack. This was Reno after all.

We had a spot to represent each element in our circle of trees. Facing north sat a curved tree that laid out like a bench that we used for resting on while dangling our legs. This represented Earth. To the west was the lake and a stump in the shape of a kings chair facing it. This represented Water. To the south was a concrete bench we used to hold our candles and incense during ritual holidays. This was for Fire. The last side to the east held a broken statue more than 5 feet tall. This represented Air.

I said, "I stopped talking with that guy."

"Aww, that sucks. You'll find somebody eventually. I'm older than you and still haven't been on a date either."

I had been spending my days talking with a boy in Australia for quite some time. We video chatted almost daily. I loved listening to him talk. Who doesn't adore an Australian accent? He was smart and loved animals, almost as much as I did. We ended it though since we both knew it was unrealistic to ever meet in person. We were just too far away. 

I asked, "want to see something cool? I've been working on a protection spell." 

"Yuss!" Liz leaned forward to watch. 

I drew the Algiz rune on my hand with a sharpie I pulled from my bag. I held my palm forward, closed my eyes and chanted under my breath "Praesidium. Praesidium. Praesidium."

I opened my eyes and Canada geese began to gather from all directions. None got too close, but they formed a circle around us. Liz pulled out her book of shadows and flipped through her notes. 

"Geese are  a symbol of protection. Nice! That can come in handy around this place." Liz threw some cracked corn towards the geese for a snack.

After chatting about our worries and complaining about our moms, it was time to head over to the local crystal shop. Every Tuesday a few witches gather to give free energy healings. That is where we gathered notes on practicing our craft. A healing was nice, especially after practicing spells. It really starts to drain you after a while.

Morning

People usually wake up in the morning getting ready for their daily, mundane routines.
But most people don't give a damn about a day or two. Especially within this kind of weather. The winds are strong and cold, the sun's rays are perfect enough to feel a little warmth within the morning. 

That said...

I'm one of those who won't give a damn about it. Days like this are the ones I want to dedicate to sleeping. But alas, it's a weekday, specifically, Thursday.

My usual morning routines are being woken up by my parent/s, suffer through the day, and immediately go back home and work online.

That's basically it to be honest.
Although, there are some days I can give exemption to it.

Like today.

It's the February 14, Thursday.
It's Valentines day...

Days like this are the ones I favor to hate on. Not because of being bitter, it's more of the fact that there are subjects are mandatory to make a project, or an assignment, for someone that's close to me.

Unnecessary things, and a very one-sided emotions applying through it, is one of the reasons why I hate this day. 

Well to save myself from trouble, every assignments like this I put a thank you letter for my parents instead. I guess I can beat a thank you speech in a graduation ceremony if I gathered all of those letters.

Then there's another reason why I hate this day. 

Publicity stunts

For example before entering the school gates, someone makes a scene in front of the school. To put it bluntly, there is a confession happening in this early in the morning.

While I hope for the girl shuts down the person, not for being cynical, it's to make a domino effect within the atmosphere of the school. Think about it, if someone gets already rejected in the morning and hundreds of eyes records their humiliation, will you do the same thing?

But unfortunately, the girl says yes. Later on a lot more escapades occur within the premise of the school ground.

A lot of it is an eyesore, most is ear suffering, and rarely, I can admit, it's pretty damn creative. 

*sign*

I'm so tired looking at the same eventful, yet self degrading moments like this.

Well the only good thing I can really look forward to... 

It's only the matter of time, but graduation runs near through its doorstep. A few more months and I can finally leave this school for good. 

The only next challenge I'll face is senior high-school. 

Yes.
That's right. 

I won't remember anyone here and it seems I won't matter to anyone here... Well, that will be perfect. 
Yes, a new start in a new school.
And most importantly... Summer vacation. 
... 
Summer, huh? 

I'm only excited in summer, so I can forget that schools ever existed. Yet, the only thing I'll do is to excel my hobbies and practice. 

Hm... 

Well, it really can't be helped.

Time is not in everyone's side, is it?

"When shall we meet again?" that's your question... A question that I cannot answer... Till our paths crossed once again.

Pre-Chapters: The protagonist's everyday life in February, valentines day to April

Daeva after bumping with Juno, she thought that her behavior wasn't so nice. But when the school bell rings, she snapped out of it and went to her designated room for her subject. Daeva is a fourth year college student in Literature and Creative Writing. She thought of becoming a writer to write literary pieces based on her experiences. Also, she thought that becoming a writer would allow her to have a small chance of interacting with people.

When she was about to enter her room, her Professor bumped into her. Mrs. Sanchez smiled at her. Daeva greeted her good morning and Mrs. Sanchez greeted her in return.

They both entered the room and Daeva sat at the second row. Mrs. Sanchez greeted her class and began discussing a lesson about her subject. She kept blabbing in front while Daeva glanced at the window. She caught a glimpse of Juno who's about to leave the school gates. As she follows Juno with her eyes, she began to feel a sharp pain at her left forearm. She didn't bother looking at it, she knows that it's currently bleeding so she just pulled her black sleeves lower. She returned her attention to her discussing professor and listens to her.

A couple of subjects passed then Daeva's lunch break arrived. She quickly ate at the cafeteria before going to the library. The school's library was enormous. It's also where the book club is rooming. Daeva is a member of the Book club and happens to be a good friend of Kevin, the Book club's president. When Daeva came in, she found Kevin fixing books that weren't returned to the proper shelve. She just picked up some books that were left at the tables and did the same. There weren't too much people in the library for now so she started casually chatting with Kevin.

"Hey Kev, you seem frustrated... What's wrong??" asked Daeva.

"Student School Council Vice President...She destroyed my morning." said Kevin casually.

"What did she do to you?" Daeva felt curious.

"Oh nothing...She just shuted me out... refusing to do some student council duties...or simply take the proposal and leave it to miss President's table... That's all..." Kevin replied.

Daeva didn't asked further what happened...But then, she felt like the person who she bumped with earlier at the hall way was the Vice President.

"The Vice President, was she the campus belle I keep hearing about." Daeva asked.

"Hmm? Yeah, that's her...Why, what's up?" asked Kevin as he finished arranging the books.

"I think she's the pretty blonde girl I bumped with this early morning. She wasn't really polite." Daeva said as she scratches the area where she felt pain while staring at Juno.

Kevin saw Daeva scratched her forearm right bellow her palm. He looked at Daeva with malicious intent. His lips curved up at one side. He then grab Daeva's hand and brought her to the school's clinic. Daeva didn't resisted and just followed Kevin.

The nurse was currently out of the clinic so Daeva's forearm can be treated. She pulled her sleeve up and let Kevin treat her wound. Kevin cleaned the blood off and covered it with bandage. When he was done, Daeva thanked Kevin and they came back to the library. 

There, while Daeva was waiting for her next class like Kevin, they decided to read a book. Daeva picked a random fantasy book while Kevin opened his laptop and read about demons.

"Let's go home together later and just order pizza for dinner, what do you say?" Kevin offered to Daeva.

Daeva just nodded, it's not very often that they go home together. Daeva and Kevin are roommates and oftentimes, Daeva gets home first before Kevin because of his club president duties.

Almost an hour have passed and Kevin closed his laptop. It's time for his next class, Daeva still have over half an hour before her next subject so Kevin just left her. When Kevin left the library, the atmosphere in the library became gloomy. Anyone who's in there felt uncomfortable, some left but some ignored it. Daeva is feeling a bit irritated but what can she do? She can't get rid of them...never...

Daeva kept reading until its just 15min left before her next class. She stood up from her sit and returned the book into one of the shelves. She felt a hand caressed her cheek and hear a chuckle. Daeva ignored it and left the library.

When she's out of the library, she can feel that someone ran "its" fingers on her hair. Her mouth was twitching, slowly forming a malicious grin. She covered her mouth with her hands, then, she took out a face mask from her pants's pocket and covered her grin. She went to her next class as if nothing had happened.

She still have 2 subjects left for her to survive. Her 3rd subject for the day passed as if it was a filler chapter of her day. Nothing very interesting occurred nor the class. But on her final subject of the day: Creative Writing, the class was given an activity and that is to write a poem. The poem have no specific theme but should be rhyming.

Writing poems weren't a problem for Daeva at all. She doesn't limit herself when it comes to writing and its subject. She writes what's in her mind and what she feels. They we're given an hour and when they were done, they are then dismissed. Daeva finished after 30min, she's always the first one to finish. As she passed her work and leaves the room, her professor Mr.Wilson gave her work a read.

This is a collection of different stories but all told by one person, Daeva. A mysterious young woman who's always very reserved and isolated from everyone. You may approach her like anyone else but beware...

This is a horror/suspense story...please read with caution. You might not be able to sleep at night with lights off and open doors and windows.

Mizuki's heart is set on being God, she tried to make a world once but it didn't work. So now it's Mahō's moon. A world isn't the only thing that she tried to make, she tried to make a new race but she ended up making a black tiger the size of a shoe. Now the tiger is our pet we call her Shadow because of how fast she is. Mizuki isn't the best at making things but she is really creative and is a talented artist.  Kiza on the other hand wants to be a teacher, he said he doesn't care what world he teaches in but everyone knows Earth is his first option. We all think he can do it, not only is he smart enough but he's also good at talking to people. Riku is the calmest one he is the best at magic, he wants to be the best mage on Mahō. He has great potential and may acheave his goal sooner than any of us it also helps that he is the bravest one out of all of us. Kaito wants to be a voice actor but he is better at acting than he is voice acting. Mizuki is the creative one Kiza is the smart one Riku is the brave one Kaito is the free spirit and I am the one that inspiration. My dream is to be the number one inspiration in both worlds. Right now I have to wake up Mizuki so we can go to lake and try to make a new kind of fish. We do this all day because it's summer but when school starts and we can only do it on the weekends, she gets extremely creative. Sometimes I can't keep up with her and we need Kiza's help, we don't usually get him for help because he's always studying or training. We are all strong and can fend for our selves but Kiza is the strongest of the triplets. Riku is the strongest of the twins, honestly he's the strongest out of all of us.

Ito Hikaru wants to inspire everyone in both worlds. Before she can do that and has to inspire her family. She has one down can she get the rest? Will she realize her true dream before it's too late?

A boy sat at his desk. He held a ball point pen in his right hand, allowing it to gracefully move across the pages he was writing on. His eyes kept flickering, as if his thoughts were rushing across his eyes as if his hand couldn't match the speed of his thoughts. 
The room was quite cozy with a large bed in one corner, and the desk with a chair on the opposite side. It was clearly a junkyard of clothes and paper, but none of them sat on the ground, allowing the family to walk around freely. 
There was also a carpet and television in front of the door to the hallway, and a beautiful glass sliding door on the opposite side of the door near the desk. The boy put down his pen, clearly exhausted yet still seemed to buzz with excitement.
"It's quite surprising how much energy I have to write today. Although it could be because tomorrow will be beginning of my last year at high school and during school time I definitely won't be able to write at all…"
The boy stretched out backwards, holding his arms in the air before shutting his notebook. Leaving them in place for the next day, clearly intending to write some more when he gets another chance.
"I have to wonder, is she thinking of me now? Or is she thinking about that boy again? I hate how devoted she is, although that's also what I love about her."
The boy thought to himself, before sliding his chair underneath the table with its head sticking out and pushed the switch near the door, creating an aura of melancholy within in his dark room.
"What if I don't finish this novel before school ends? What if it doesn't sell well? What if she…. Never falls for me?"
The boy lied on his bed plagued by thoughts before ending his conscience state with one last thought, decisively and peacefully going to sleep.
"As long as I don't give up, she will fall for me."
Elsewhere, there was a girl who had no plans to sleep at the moment, just browsing social media on her phone white listening to some music. She was quite attractive in her pajamas which revealed a lot of skin, with a figure that could cause many innocent boys to become infatuated.
Her headphones gave her a feeling of wildness which contrasted with peaceful state of the room excluding the clothes scattered around the room. Her room was even simpler than the teenager boy who had just fallen asleep, with merely a bed, a closet, a desk and some items scattered around.
Perhaps her wildness only existed in her mind, swirling around like a whirlwind. This night was the night of a full moon, on the precipice between fall and summer the moon exhibited a beauty that could entice anyone.
The girl faced the moon with her phone in hand, and headphones ringing with pop tunes from a bitter romantic song.
"Does he still love me? We can't even talk and yet he expects to wait for years till we can start dating? Why can't go back to those where he caressed me on the hillside, doing nothing but looking at the sun.."
The girls' eyes became blank, as the music seemed to disappear and the phone's screen shut off. 
"Why does he love me, when even my true love prioritizes his religion over love?"
The "He" here seemed to be referring to the same person, although the confused light in her eyes seemed to object.
How can straightforward love be so hard?
These words echoed in the hearts of multiple boys and the girls this night, as if the bright moon had come out to echo their feelings and answer their queries. Yet even this heavenly body couldn't answer them, as it disappeared, to reveal a different heavenly body, one with an indifferent brightness.
About a mountain away from these two residences lied a simple school building. One could call it large, one could call it small, it was relative to the person observing the building.
It was a building that lacked curves on the sides, as if it was made out of boxes that had sides cut out to allow passage from one to another. Around it were roads and forestry structure, which gave it a feeling of separation from the world.
On another side of it was a large field with a fence covering its borders, and trees blocking the holes in the metal fence. There were youths all around this school, living out their cherry blossom days, giving off a feeling of purity which couldn't be seen elsewhere.
Autumn leaves covered the pathways and grassy areas, with others covering the sky blocking the view of the sky from any observer. In particular, a young boy who had just reached the school's entrance. The teen looked up to the sky with a glare while thinking, "It's beautiful but does it have to scatter everywhere on the ground?"
His statement seemed somewhat contradictory if you looked back at his house, where he had items all over the place. This young man is named Steve Hansen, a boy who loves all sorts of creative works yet dreams to be an aerospace engineer.
Perhaps he could see this contradiction in his mindset, but at the moment he didn't need to think too much about his future plans.
"I think we all have to meet up in the gymnasium for the opening ceremony?... How will she react when she sees me?" One could see the anxiety in his heart, as he prepared to see his sweetheart.
The youth was not the only person with this sort of conundrum, as a girl within a crowded gymnasium was wallowing in the same type of worries.
She had a bold figure, with sleek muscles and long black hair that seemed to shine under the light. She wore a long shirt that seemed to be one size to big for her, perhaps to cover her curves from others' viewpoints.
In that wooden gymnasium there were hordes of people, each standing near one of 8 signs displaying a specific number from 1 to 8. The floor had just been polished, perhaps an attempt from the school's staff to impress the youths, and lighten their fear of the school year.
"Every year when school starts I'm always in the 7th corner, although I never understood how the corners are set up, or why they need to organize into 8 groups, but perhaps it's just for convenience sake."
The young lady stood in her corner, keenly looking towards her left side, as if attempting to search for someone. This girl who watched the moon just the day before had indeed found someone, or perhaps one could say they found her.
"Hey Lily, I'm so happy to see you~" A random petite girl bounced at Lily, putting her into a hug.
"Erika~" Lily said in a fake annoyed tone, clearly used to this blond child's enthusiasm. A moment later, Erika let go and stood a comfortable distance away from Lily, perhaps worried about annoying her friend too much.
Behind Erika, there was a tall girl with glasses waving at Lily, while saying "Hey Lily, how was your summer?"
This girl was a close friend of Lily, someone she had known since the start of high school. Although 5 years of being friends could neither be called a long time or a short time, they were both quite used to each other and had a faint sense of how the other was feeling,
Lily laughed a little before saying, "Hey Erika, Quinzel, I've been doing fine. Did you guys walk to school together again?"
Lily was quite a polite girl, as she didn't bounce to start a conversation about how her vacation has been, instead allowing the two girls to explain how they have been as she had noticed their enthusiasm. 
At this moment Erika talked first due to her excitement of meeting Lily again after months, "Well we did walk to school together, but we also slept together-"
"Erika!" Quinzel blushed as she looked at her girlfriend, surprised by her wording.
"What I'm not wrong am I?"
"No but it was just a sleepover! We didn't actually go to bed together!" 
Quinzel was quite an innocent girl, as she gets embarrassed quite easily even over the simplest matters.
Lily laughed, before glancing to the left, once more searching for that boy who's always been distant from her. 
Erika seemed to have caught her eyes, noting "Are you looking for him again?"
Quinzel and Erika's happiness turned into a teasing mood, targeting the polite youth who had gotten distracted. 
"I mean…" Lily's smile seemed to have faltered for a moment before she continued, "Nah, just looking for the principal-"
One could call her a jinx, as a man with a speaker phone had just appeared at the center of the gym, making a screeching noise akin to smack the head of a microphone.
"Wow Lily, you called it." Quinzel quickly noted before quieting down. The rest of the gym has also gone quiet, although it took a few moments.
Right when the principal was about to start speaking, a thin young man entered the gym through the doors leading to the inside of the school, not to be confused with the two doors leading to the outside.
For a moment it felt awkward, with everyone cringing but that atmosphere soon disappeared when the principal started to speak.
"Of all my days, I have never been so proud to be speaking during the opening ceremony as I have already been here for 4 years and I have met so many…"
For some reason Lily got distracted from the principal's speech, instead focusing on the young man who had just entered.
"Steve?" A voice so quiet no one around her could tell she spoke slipped through her lips, as her eyes watched the young man slide across the walls bordering the gym.
"That idiot, why did he get late to the opening ceremony?"
The boy seemed to stop at one corner for a moment, before looking towards Lily's direction.
"The youths who I have met when I first came to this school will be leaving, off to enjoy their lives away from this place of learning, and learn real-life skills…"
While the principal kept going on, the boy had found Lily's location, causing his eyes to glimmer, before continuing to slide across the walls, quietly weaving to the crowds of students, and sneaking towards Lily.
"Seriously? Can't you wait just ta little longer before we talk? The principal is giving his opening ceremony speech you know!"
Lily made a noise of disproval before looking once more toward the teacher, seeing a strange look in Quinzel's eyes.
"What is she looking at?"
Lily knew that Quinzel wasn't looking at the principal and could tell she was looking in the direction of Steve.
"Is she looking at Steve? Wait no wasn't I just looking for him?"
Lily decisively ignored both the principal, Quinzel and Steve who were all acting passionately, although for different reasons. She looked toward her left once more, before her gaze rested on a boy with brown hair,
Joe… 
Her heart started beating quickly, as she tried to focus more on the young man as if absorbing his image into her mind. The young man didn't seem to notice her gaze, instead focused on the impassioned speech of the principal, as if he didn't have the will to even note her existence.
Didn't you say you would date after University? Do you still love me now?
The girl's heart became bitter, as a sour expression appeared on her face, causing her vision to go blank.
At this moment Erika smacked her in the back, before saying, "Hey look, Steve's here."
Erika seemed to have a somewhat worried expression as she looked at Lily's face, perhaps attempting to distract Lily from her thoughts even in the dumbest way possible.
The thin youth had almost reached Lily, clearly intent on greeting her.
At this moment Lily had refocused once more, before putting a finger over her lips, trying to sign at Steve to not say anything.
Steve clearly didn't care, as he had walked right beside Lily and whispered with a slightly nervous tone, "Hey."
You aren't helping either you-
Lily's heart had softened a little before tensing up once more, realizing her current problem.
He who looks at me lovingly, or he who tells me to wait what do I choose.
In this brightly lit area a young woman was being tempted by the devil and comforted by the angels at the same time, as she sat beside this young man who was fidgeting with his hands, throwing glances at her secretly, although failing to be secretive.
"I love you…." Steve released an almost imperceptible sound unconsciously as he gazed at Lily, before turning away.
On the last blooming of this cherry blossom tree, what will wither and what will glow like luminescent stars?
Let us begin this story, of romance and passion, on the cusp of sunrise.

Hoi, and I'm sorry for not uploading a chapter in a while, but now that schools FINALLY OVER, I can put a little more dedication into it. So here's a list of everything I wanna go over, ranging from what I've been up too, what I'm going to be doing, and some exciting new things I have planned for the future [Please read everything, as it's all important(ish...)]

(1) Now that school and finals are over, I can dedicate more time to writing and coming up with new idea's for chapters. However, I will be taking a PE class over the summer. Not because I'm dumb and I need more credits or anything, but because I don't want to take a PE class during the school year. [Summer PE is just a lot of running, swimming, etc... School year PE has the dreaded thing known as dance... Seriously! Why the hell is it something our school requires all the kids to do!!!] This shouldn't get in the way of my writing all that much however due to the summer school class being PE

(2) I'm going to a friends house to play some d&d, so that'll be fun [they nerfed my characters armor class by 2. Why would they do that... Probably because I managed to scrape up a wopping 20 AC at level 1... The fun thing is that I did it legit as well..... Warforged Juggernaut OP.........]

(3) I absolutely WON'T drop this novel. However I will be taking a break from this story once it reaches 50 chapters (not counting the auxiliary...)

(4) I've been to busy reading other peoples novels or watching anime to write chapters... So I'm hoping that my brain can finally be at rest after binging railgun, railgun S, index I, II, and III, and the railgun and accelerator mangas... Also I can see why everyone loves accelerator now [A wild accelerator has appeared, accelerator is now enraged, accelerator used CHUCK A FREAKING SKYSCRAPER... It's super effective...]

(5) After effectively binging the whole magical index universe, along with having already finished binging mob psycho I and II before that. I've gone a little ESPer crazy (Tatsumaki from one punch man doesn't help by the way)... And I'm really excited to tell you guys about the new ESPer related story concept I've come up with for a new novel that I'm planning to write after this novel reaches 50 or more chapters (I'm already creating the characters, physics, and complex details of the world the story will take place in... And once I get all that stuff finished or close to finished, I'll start the story and post all that technical stuff about it in some informative chapters. The real story won't start tell I reach the 50 chapter mark here however

(6) I might make a discord channel dedicated to this story, and the new one I'm planning on making [The new story is actually serving as a good motivator to try and reach 50 chapters on this one...]
