Emica Kana is 18 years old. She has always loved writing stories., They were her escape from reality. She always wished that a man would come and save her like they always do in the stories.
Well, she got her wish.
Emica entered a small writing school that was near a river. Her friend had joined her. But, the teacher had an odd vibe around him. Emica became a little scared of him. She especially became scared when the teacher started to pay more attention to her. One day, when she runs from him, she falls into a world of adventure, risk, and abnormalities. 
But, her teacher is what scares her more than this new world. What secrets and schemes did he use to get her here?

After a wonderful summer vacation, it was finally time to go to college for the first time. I had spent the whole entire summer packing, and deciding what things should stay behind as well as the things I should give away.


It was depressing to say goodbye to Matthew. We had all said goodbye to him as a group, but we couldn't have a farewell party because he had his grad party the night before with his family.


Instead, we had a group get together at a restaurant to say goodbye to him. Well, we all had burgers and milkshakes.


The saddest person other than me was surprisingly James. It seemed that in a way the two had become closer over the last couple months.


Matthew left that night.


His phone still worked, and he texted me from time to time over that summer vacation, but the texts became less and less frequent.


It seemed that he had settled into England pretty well, and he was loving the Oxford campus a lot. He had met new people, and had also started attending business meetings with his father.


He seemed to be happy.


Meanwhile, I was enjoying my summer by going to the beach and hanging out with friends as well with family. I was enjoying every last minute of it. It was quite a relaxing summer, perfect for before the first year of college.


However, then I found myself ready to go to UCLA.


My bags were packed, and in the car. My family was gathered, and a few of my friends. And... James was there too, speaking with some of my relatives.


I gave a hug to each person there, and then got into my car to drive off. James also decided to leave the same time that I did. And so, we began our drives to college.


Many hours and cups of coffee later, I found myself on the UCLA campus. It was gorgeous, and I was so happy to find myself finally there.


"Hello, UCLA," I murmured under my breath. "My name's Miyah, and I'm so ready for this year."


But... I missed James. I missed Matthew. I already missed my family...


It was going to be a long year...


I bit my bottom lip.


It was too late now to turn back.


I parked my car in front of the administration building, and then entered the edifice. The lady at the front desk was kind enough to give me my schedule and help point out where the dorms were.


Then, I went to go find my dorm. When I got there, there was a girl there on one of the beds already. Her hair was red, and she had it up in a ponytail. Her eyes were brown, but a beautiful shade of the color. She glanced over at me, and then got up. "Ah! You must be one of my roommates!"


I nodded.


She stuck her hand out. "Hey, I'm Kyan Knights. Strange name, I know. Whatever. What's your name?"


I blinked once. It almost seemed as if she had chugged down an ounce of sugar and then five cups of coffee. "Nice to meet you," I said as I reached out my hand for a handshake. "The name's Miyah. Miyah Hatfield."


"It's a pleasure," she responded.


We let go of each others hands, and spent the time getting to know each other better.


We both liked the color blue, specifically turquoise. We both came from smaller towns in California, and had managed to get into our dream school.


"Oh. Also, I'm part of the softball team," she added.


"That's awesome!" I said.


Suddenly, the door was swung open, and two other girls entered. They froze when they saw us, but then smiled. "We're the other two roommates."


The one to the left was blonde, tall, and had curly hair. Naturally, her eyes were blue. In a way, they reminded me of James's eyes, since they were nearly the same shade of blue. Yet... James's was a bit warmer than her eyes were.


The one to the right had black hair that went down to her waist and bangs. She was much shorter than the girl to the left.


The girl to the right introduced herself first. "Hello. I'm Kloe Trujillo."


"I'm Ellenor Greenaway," the blonde one to the left said soon after.


After that, we all got to know each other better.


My first class was exciting, and I had it with Ellenor. I was very excited, and quite content that I was able to have my first class with someone that I knew. However, when we went to class, she immediately began to socialize, and I was left on my own.


She ditched me.


I let out a sigh, and set my gaze on a random seat. There was already someone sitting next to it. I neared the seat, and asked, "Can I sit here?"


The guy nodded.


"Thank you," I said as I sat down. After a pause, I decided that it would be best for me to introduce myself. "I'm Miyah."


"I'm Miles."


"Nice to meet you."


"Likewise."


The class was about creative writing. It was an elective course, but I had wanted to take one class that I would enjoy before taking more classes that would be more career related.


And it seemed as if the class was quite enjoyable. The first day we were allowed to write whatever came to our minds, and then we were dismissed. After getting the syllabus, of course.


Miles was an interesting guy. It seemed like he was going to major in computer sciences, but he also enjoyed writing, and thus decided to join the class.


He lived in LA, so he commuted from nearby, although I wasn't too sure what 'nearby' meant.


Once class ended, I had another class to attend, and I had this class with Kloe. She, unlike Ellenor, stayed by my side the whole entire class period. I got to know her a lot better, and decided I liked her.


I was not to keen about Ellenor, but I would tolerate her.


My first day at UCLA was great. And I was happy.

"We probably looked like a couple crazy in love. But, of course we would. We had concocted our pretend relationship perfectly, keeping the mask on until we could turn and hiss at each other in private once again. In an ironic way, the guy I hated the most was also the only person who knew the real me."




Miyah knew James since they were young. Yet, Miyah can't stand the guy...

One day, as James gets surrounded by friends and girls that are interested in him, he suddenly announces that he and Miyah are dating. 

Miyah decides to play along. However, she's always had feelings for her old best friend from elementary, whom she sees once again. 


James has always liked Miyah. For some reason, she's always hated him. James decides to show Miyah that he's different than what she thinks and so he forces her to pretend to date him and to finally see him for the person he is.

Its two months after the arrival of Sadik in Royal secondary school and their examination was just a week ahead. Because of the anniversary, the students were not given continuous assessment. Their examination will be marked 100 percent and will be announced during the ceremony. Sadik and Peter had been preparing so hard for the examination. Sadik tried his best to avoid coming across Fatima. And the more he tried to avoid her, the more he felt so attracted to her. 
Before their examination started, all the students were randomly given numbers irrespective of their class. The students were to sit according to the number in the examination hall. The school brought that system in other to reduce communication between students of the same class during the examination. The school examination hall is very big enough to contain all the students in the school. There was a large space in the hall which divided it in two parts the north and south wing. The seats in the hall were arranged in such a way that the students in the south wing will face the students in the north wing. Some classes write their exams in the morning while others in the afternoon. 
The school examination started on Monday. Sadik and Peter walked to the examination hall. Sadik was anxious because it was the first time he will be writing an examination in Royal secondary school."Don't be scared Sadik, just try and concentrate" Peter tried to encourage  Sadik."Thank you Peter, I will try my best" Sadik responded."Okay let's go in Sadik before the examination supervisors arrive "Peter suggested and they walked into the hall. Sadik sat on a front seat in the north wing while Peter was somewhere in the middle. When Sadik raised his head, he unexpectedly made an eye contact with Fatima who was sitting in the front seat in the south wing and he quickly looked away. He felt something he hasn't felt in a while. It was a desire he can't stand. It was like every atom of his body was disorientated when he saw her.
 He tried his best not to look at her for the second time. But when the exams started, Sadik could not take it anymore. It got to a point where he stopped writing and kept looking at Fatima as she was writing."Just see how beautiful she is" Sadik thought in his mind. When Fatima looked up, she saw him looking at her but this time he didn't look away. They both stared at each other for almost 5 second and they both broke the eye contact. Sadik felt like there was a kind of connection that exists between them. It was like they had known each other for thousands of years. He felt like they were involved in a kind of communication that only the two of them could understand, and the hundreds of students surrounding them did not know what was happening. Suddenly, an emotion of happiness was ignited within Sadik and a smile broke on his face. 
After the examination, Sadik went to class to Study more. He was alone in the class. He studied for 3 hours and he decide go to the mosque to pray when it was 2 O'clock. When he was done praying, he moved to the hostel to change into his house uniform. As soon as he entered their room, Peter jumped up from his bed."Where have you been Sadik? I've been looking for almost everywhere" He asked."Oh not everywhere, you would have found me if you really searched everywhere" Sadik joked."Where did you hide yourself?" Peter questioned."I've been in the class reading" Sadik replied."Oh you are so selfish, why didn't you look for me so that we will go together?" Peter nagged."What did you say you were doing?" David asked."I was in the class reading" Sadik replied." Please stop wasting your time" David laughed and he walked out of the room."He's a jerk you know, don't mind him" Peter said."I know he's a jerk more than you do" Sadik replied and Peter laughed."I'm going in the evening again, in case you want to go" Sadik announced."Of course I want to" Peter responded. 
In the evening around 4 O'clock, Sadik walked out of their hostel to go and study. On their way to class, they met Sarah and Mary."Hey Sadik, where are you guys going to?" Sarah asked."We are going to the class" Sadik replied."And what do you intend to do there?" Mary asked."We have something to take care of "Sadik responded."Oh sounds greats, we are our on way to the clinic" Sarah said."Who's sick?" Sadik asked."Is Mary, she said she's having a stomach pain" Sarah answered."I wish you a fast recovery Mary" Sadik sympathized."Ok we will meet later" Sarah concluded. Sadik and Peter went to SS2 C and studied there. They studied for almost 2 hours and left when it was 6 O'clock. Sadik went to mosque while Peter went to the hostel.
The school examination was Finally over, and they have three days left before the school will be closed. Throughout their examinations, Sadik felt an attraction growing between him and Fatima. They kept looking at each other in the examination hall and each time they come to pass each other.  Sadik had a feeling that he will be welcomed when he talks to her, but when he remembered that she always embarrasses whoever talks to her, he felt discouraged. The school had been preparing for its 20th anniversary before the conclusion of the examination. And the students were engaged in extra-curricular activities after their examination since they have covered their syllabus for the term.
 One Tuesday evening after their examination, the students had all worn their track suits prepared for the sport. When they got to the field, he saw Fatima playing hand ball. He moved close to the hand ball court and watched her playing. When she was playing, she also turned and look at him. And she kept making mistakes in game because her attention was also not in the game. When she made a funny mistake, they looked at each and laughed. Sadik could not believe everything happening was real.  It was like those kinds of dreams that you will wish you never wake. Even thought they had never spoken to each other, they were involved in a communication thousands of words could not express. 
The ball went out of play and fell close to Sadik. Sadik bent down and picked the ball. As soon he got up, he saw Fatima walking towards him to receive the ball. He started feeling nervous when she got close to him. He smiled and handed her the ball. She was also smiling when she received the ball. When she collected the ball, she turned and headed back to the court. When she was about to enter the court, she turned and looked at Sadik again before going in. 
Suddenly Peter appeared before Sadik."Oh my God, I can't believe what I have just seen" Peter said surprisingly."Have you seen what happened?" Sadik happily asked."Of course I have, and from the way she looked at you, I think she really likes you" Peter Said. Sadik smiled without saying anything more."I don't think you will like to play, but the players in the football field are looking for you to play with them" Peter announced."Is just like you said, I'm not going to play" Sadik responded."Well, you better go there because you are the only boy watching this girls' game" Peter advised. "You should go there before other boys will notice you" Peter added and he held Sadik by the hand and pulled him to the football field. 
As soon as Sadik got to the football field, both teams started arguing that he is to play on their side."Alright let him decide which side he wants to play for" Anas suggested."Okay you should choose Sadik" the head boy said. Sadik kept quiet and looked at both teams for a while and finally chose Anas's team. 
When it was 6 O'clock, Sadik and Peter moved to the hostel and changed into their house uniform."What program are we having tonight?" Sadik asked Peter."I think it will be a film show" Peter answered."Okay let me go to the mosque and pray, we will meet in the dining hall" Sadik concluded. In the night after their dinner, Sadik walked into their room and found Peter trying to sleep."Aren't you going to the film show?" Sadik questioned."I don't think so, I'm so sleepy" Peter replied. "Okay that means I will have to go alone" Sadik said."Okay you shouldn't bother yourself waking me if you come back" Peter concluded."And why should I bother waking you?" Sadik inquired."Because you might come with some good news about Fatima" Peter laughed. Sadik smiled and left the room.
The film show usually takes place in the school examination hall. Students who were interested in watching movies used to be there and those who were not remained in their hostels. Sadik went to hall and found out that the film show had already begun. The film show was made possible with the aid of a projector placed in the middle of hall and two big speakers that were audible to even those who were not in the hall. He looked around to see if Fatima was around but he noticed her absence. He only saw her two friends were there."She must be close since her friends are here" Sadik thought. He went close to a small boy who was in JSS1."Hey do you know the title of the movie we are watching?" Sadik inquired."Yes I do, the name of the movie is 'my date with the president's daughter' " the boy responded. It was the first time Sadik had ever seen a projector, he sat down and watched the movie with amazement. After about 10 minutes, Fatima walked in from the door behind wearing a white dress even though students were not allowed to wear anything other than their class uniform or house uniform. Most of the students turned and looked at her for she's broken a law. Sadik turned and looked at her with an excitement, she was indeed so pretty."I wish the boarding house master will come here and deal with this arrogant girl" the JSS1 boy said. Sadik glared at him feeling like smashing him."Is not your fault, you are too young to know what's good" Sadik said in his mind.
 Fatima walked and Sat with her friends in the middle. Sadik moved from his position to place where he can see Fatima and sat there. The film show continues, and the good thing about it was that he caught Fatima looking at him about 3 times. They kept making eye contact throughout the film show. When a funny scene occurred, they both laughed and looked at each other. The incident there removed all the fears in Sadik's heart and gave him an immeasurable courage feeling like he was going to be welcomed. And he was somehow sure that she was feeling what he was feeling at that time. What happened there was beyond articulation that made Sadik wished he will remain in that moment forever. 
The time moved faster than expected. It was 9 O'clock and all the female students were required to go back to their hostels."Sadik I didn't know you were here" said a voice ahead of him and he discovered it was Sarah trying to leave."Hey Sarah, I thought you didn't come too" Sadik replied." I was here since the beginning of the film show. I sat at the front sit maybe that's why you didn't notice me" Sarah explained."So how was the movie?" Sadik asked."It was so interesting even though this is the third time I'm watching it" Sarah answered."Oh really?"Sadik said."Yes of course. It's 9 O'clock already, let me go back to the hostel" Sarah responded and she walked out of the hall. 
Sadik saw Fatima's friends leaving without her and he thought he' has finally gotten a chance to talk to her. He moved to the door where the female students were going out and stopped there. And at last, Fatima was coming to leave the hall.  As she approached him towards the door, his heart started beating fast, and the closer she got the faster it beat. They were looking at each other when she got closer to him. She looked like she knew Sadik was going to talk to her and her face was bright as the moon. 
As soon as Sadik was about to say something to her, someone interrupted."Hey Fatima, I didn't know you will come". When Sadik turned, he noticed that it was the head boy. Immediately, Fatima's bright face turned to red like the setting sun and Sadik quickly walked forward and left them. When he walked a few metres away, Sadik turned back and saw Fatima looking back at him. She looked like she wished to talk to him. Sadik walked back to the hostel happily and went straight to Peter's bed. He was about to wake him then he decided he will tell him what happened in the morning.

With that, Qiao Dongliang got up from bed, took his pillow and blanket and went to sleep in the study room. He did not wish to share a bed with Ding Jiayi any more.
He did not care how the Ding family treated people, but he would not allow his daughter to be treated like that!
"You… you, where are you going?" Ding Jiayi was dumbfounded. Old Qiao refused to share a bed with her just because of that wretched girl?
On the next day, Qiao Dongliang was just his usual self; but Ding Jiayi's eyes were puffy red and swollen. She had obviously been crying.
Qiao Nan started school at an earlier time than Qiao Zijin. She went out early in the morning, taking the deep-fried dough sticks that Qiao Dongliang bought along with her. She carried her bag and drank her soybean milk, making a stop at Zhai's house to get her books before heading off to school.

"Qiao Nan, why are you standing by the door, go in now." Her class teacher, Teacher Chen saw Qiao Nan and smiled brightly.
Qiao Nan always ranked top three in her level and ranked first in her class. Every teacher loved a good student like her.
With Teacher Chen's prompting, Qiao Nan braced herself and went into the classroom. 
Qiao Nan could no longer remember her classmates, but she still remembered Teacher Chen.
In this country, everyone had to go through nine years of compulsory education. In her previous life, Teacher Chen paid a lot of visits to her house when she stopped going to secondary three.

When she was finally settled down, the rest of the classmates also streamed in gradually. Teacher Chen assigned seats to everyone but the good seat besides Qiao Nan still remained vacant.
"The summer break was over. Let's have a test. Everyone put away your books, do not leave anything unnecessary on the table. Hurry up."
At Teacher Chen's words, everyone started to complain.
There was a saying that goes: Examinations were a teacher's weapon while grades were a student's lifeline.
Qiao Nan turned as white as a sheet upon hearing Teacher Chen's words.
Nobody knew the worry, dread and guilt a top student like her was feeling at this moment.
She had only spent a few days revising the junior high syllabus and she had to sit a test now. There was no way that she could get a good result and match up to her usual standard.
Qiao Nan started to break out in a cold sweat.
Teacher Chen was a Mathematics teacher, so he must be testing them on their Maths.
She took a few deep breaths, gripped her pen and started writing.
Qiao Nan had a systematic way of tackling the test. In order not to run out of time, she started answering the questions one by one. If she was stuck for five minutes, she would skip and move on.
When she finished answering the questions she knew and had checked through once, she then went back to the questions that she skipped.
It was a good thing that she could answer most of the questions. But in the past, she could start solving the problems as soon as she gets the papers without stopping for a moment to think.
Now, she had to think through the solutions and she was not as good as before in her mental and manual calculations.
After finishing the paper, Qiao Nan was drenched in sweat, with her clothes plastered to her back.
Qiao Nan only had time to check through once before the alarm went off. Teacher Chen then started to collect the papers.
When class was over, Qiao Nan headed for the washroom to wash her face.
The Maths test was finally over, but there must be other tests for the rest of the main subjects.
On the first day of school, Qiao Nan was kept busy taking tests for the three main subjects Mathematics, Chinese and English. Her head was spinning from the tests.
Qiao Nan did not feel well after the tests; she barely made it back home.
"Oh, you are back so early today?" Ding Jiayi saw Qiao Nan and pulled a long face, her eyes full of mockery. "Your Dad is not back yet!" 
Didn't the wretched girl always come back at the same time as Old Qiao?
Pierced by Ding Jiayi's mocking voice, Qiao Nan came back to her senses. She felt the heavy weight of her books on her back. Without a word, she ran inside the house like a rabbit, sped past Ding Jiayi and went into her room, sliding the bolt in place.
"Mom." Qiao Zijin saw that Ding Jiayi was about to follow after and stopped her. "Dad is still furious. We can't help that Nan Nan is not sensible. But you definitely do not want to keep on quarreling with Dad."
Father was the sole breadwinner in the house. If mother fell out with father and he refused to give his pay to her, what was going to happen to her? 
"Since Nan Nan is not going to work to lighten Dad and your load this year, Mom, you should stop quarreling with Dad and making yourself unhappy."
"You are right. Your Dad and I have been together for so many years, we have never had such a fierce quarrel before. It's not worth it to fall out with your Dad for this wretched girl." Ding Jiayi calmed down and said, "You mentioned that secondary three syllabus is much more difficult, and not as easy as before, right? Let's wait and see her results this year. She had made a promise with your Dad. If she fails to score well, she would have to work no matter what!" 
She finally managed to calm Ding Jiayi down. Actually Qiao Zijin did not tell Ding Jiayi that secondary three syllabus might be difficult for her; but she had no idea if it was easy or difficult for Qiao Nan.
Qiao Zijin could not help but pray that just like her and the other female classmates in class, Qiao Nan would find the secondary three syllabus difficult, and in particularly would fail terribly at Maths and Chemistry.
"Nan Nan, it's Dad." Qiao Dongliang reached home one hour later and went to look for Qiao Nan. 
"Dad." Qiao Nan opened the door to let Qiao Dongliang in.
Qiao Dongliang knitted his eyebrows, "Nan Nan, your room is this small?"


Qiao Nan: Crap! I am your biological daughter, yet I am treated as if I was picked up from the streets. In fact, you treat me worse than that!

Mother Qiao: Qiao Nan, you are not as pretty or smart as your elder sister. You are not as blessed as her. You have no right to study, marry, or to have your happiness!

Qiao Nan stares at the well-built man in front of her. He has firm abs and cold, chilling eyes. She swallows the lump in her throat as she says her greetings, "Good Morning, Chief!"

While the teacher was writing a question on the board, many students were texting in the group chat with phones under their desks while stealing glances with each other and holding back their laughs. A few students were staring at the girl with a high ponytail and prominent caramel eyes who was deep in thoughts about her next plans.

When the teacher turned around, all the students raised their heads high and pretended to be concentrating hard. 

"Today, we…" The middle-aged teacher paused when he saw the lost look on Park Danbi's face. Though she was a top student, her attitude was still questionable. He picked up the chalk and hurled it in her direction. She sighed and bent her head slightly. The piece of chalk went past her, only to be caught by Gu Yi Won.

All eyes widened except for Park Danbi and Gu Yi Won.

"Park Danbi!" The teacher roared. How could she have the audacity to dodge the piece of chalk? 

"Yes, Teacher." She yawned. Because of that crazy chef, she couldn't sleep all night. The teacher was glaring at her. She glanced at the board once, and then she requested with a saccharine voice, "Can I sleep for some time?" 

"S-Sleep in my class?" Teacher's eyes bulged out. He gnashed his teeth when she gave him a nod. "Park Danbi, since you are so smart, why don't you solve the questions on the board?"

She shrugged. "Sure, Teacher."

Just then, Gu Yi Won stood up and walked to the teacher. He handed the piece of chalk to the teacher and gave him a little polite bow. When he was trotting back to his seat, he glanced at Park Danbi who kept blinking her sleepy eyes. Her smooth neck was slightly arched, revealing small pink bug bites. His fingers curled inward as he sat down on his seat and started solving the question that was on the board. 

"Go ahead." The teacher stepped aside and beckoned her with his hand to come forward. 

Her step toward the board was heavy. Park Danbi's body was aching. Sleeping as a burrito with someone clinging to her body like a sloth was not comfortable anyway. 

The chef was heavy and he kept nibbling on her neck like a giant mosquito last night. Then, he would lick the cheese on her cheek in his sleep and mumble long list of recipes. So, she didn't get one second of sleep last night. It was all thanks to that crazy chef.

As she started solving the damned differential equation on the board, her head was also musing about ways to torture the chef. 

The chef needed to be taught a lesson immediately. He liked cooking, right? Then, she would ask him to make a lot of dishes and bash his cooking skills.

The teacher widened his eyes when he inspected the method that she used to solve the problem. It was long and tedious, and not a part of the syllabus. A high school student shouldn't know this. He narrowed his eyes on her. "Where did you learn this?"

"At home." Sleep had flown away from Park Danbi's eyes; exhaustion remained. Her hands and clothes were covered with chalk powder. "I studied it last year."

"Who taught you that?" The teacher's gaze lingered on the solution. "How did you turn something so simple into something complex?"

"I taught myself," Park Danbi told him grimly, slapping off the chalk powder, frowning as the taste of the kiss returned in her mouth, and she felt that she needed to baptize her mouth by something else. She turned her head toward Gu Yi Won who was watching her with his ever-indifferent, though his eyes always had a sly tinge of interest that always gave a poisonous hope to the naive ones. She added solemnly, "Because simple ways are boring."

How far a person can go in the name of love?

"If that girl is gone, will you come back to me?"

"This sucks!" I utters to myself.
 
I watch the rain dropping beautifully from the sky into the school ground. I am sitting on the very back of the class beside the window, my usual spot in our classroom. Like the others I am also a back bencher person. By the way my name is Anna Marie Marcelo; both my parents are certified farmers. I have 5 siblings, 3 males and 2 females. I am like the only one studying right now so I have the opportunity to do whatever I like without anyone bothering me since they are all busy back in our province. Like any other middle class child I also feel that my life is so boring and worthless.... not until.
 
"So boring." I sigh as I play with my pen on my hand.
 
Our teacher in Creative Writing is discussing in front yet my mind is occupied by the thoughts of how my life went upside down. 
 
"I wonder, how is everyone doing back at home?"
 
As a kid I always thought that my life is so boring for being so normal and simple yap that is how my life is, a province girl. Yet, now that I have found out about my real identity and lived the life I just imagined before, my mind seems to get weary on the thoughts of the problems I had encountered and experienced, and remembering the ONE person that made it hard to adjust I smirk with a soft snort of distaste.
 
"Tskkk yah THAT stupid jerk. He really pisses me off. Just remembering his face is making this day even unpleasant." I said in distaste as I clinch the pen into my fist as if all my anger is centered to that poor pen.
 
I then give off a deep sigh as I continue to watch the dropping of the rain on the ground. The sound it makes seems to make me feel at ease. Then my chain of thought starts to run wild into my mind making me reminisce that what have happened to me the past months.
 

Every one of us must have watch or read any fairy tale books in our entire life. Fairy tale story like: Snow white, sleeping beauty and our famous Cinderella. It must be great to live in a rich life where everything you want is given or provided, a life with servants at our disposal, and a life with a handsome prince charming ready to save us. But.....THIS certain story is not like any fairy tale story we had read and watched. This story is about being brave, being you and being who you want to be.

Anna Marie Marcelo is like any normal college girl who dreamed of a fairy tale like life but ends up accepting the reality that she is a farmers’ daughter and that’s just it. This made her study hard and work harder for the dream she wants to achieve in the near future. The other shop owners all started chattering as they saw Lin Fan and the rest return. They were concerned about the final verdict of the trial. They weren't surprised when they heard that Lin Fan had gotten three hundred and twenty thousand dollars.
All of them were happy for Master Lin. The person who had smashed up Master Lin's shop had probably not expected to have to compensate such a large amount. Furthermore, he had to serve 6 months instead of the original 1 month. They all laughed at the thought of it.
Even an idiot wouldn't screw up this badly.
Lin Fan and the others looked on in confusion as they listened to the designer explain to them the different design concepts from the blueprints.
The designer then took out the finalized concept art out of his bag.

The final concept art for the renovation looked satisfying enough. It was an easy design which was refreshing to look at and it was definitely better than the old shop design.
Lin Fan pointed at the picture. "Leave this part empty instead of installing a glass door. It'll be much more comfortable this way. Otherwise, we'd feel constricted inside here.
Although he wasn't an expert in design, he had some concept of how the renovation should look like. The designer took a note of Lin Fan's request, writing it down diligently.
"I hope that you guys can complete this as fast as possible. Price wise, you can just look for him" Lin Fan said as he looked at Fraud Tian.
The designer nodded. This kind of easy-going customer who didn't ask for much was the best.

"It looks like the kid is pretty tired. Is school really that stressful now? It's almost eleven thirty already." Lin Fan had never been a good student. Even when he wasn't tired he would just sleep around nine or ten o'clock.
"Ah, it can't really be helped even if he's tired. If he doesn't go for tuition, he's going to lose out to the rest of the kids in class."
"Tuition can't really be that important, can it? All you have to do is to pay attention in class and that should be enough, right?" Lin Fan chuckled.
The lady shook her head. "It's hardly enough. In school, they don't really teach well. Only in tuition classes do they summarise everything for him. So if he doesn't go for tuition classes, he probably wouldn't be able to string together everything that the teacher taught in school and will definitely lose out to the rest of the students."
Lin Fan shook his head. "With this kind of situation, shouldn't you talk to the principal of the school?"

In the end, the teachers didn't really pay any attention to her in class and they didn't have a choice but to send her to tuition classes. I realize that she is always in tears, saying it's hard on her parents, but she won't say anything more other than that."
The lady patted her son on his head. "Now you know, you should go and read a bit more. Mummy will cook supper for you and then you can sleep."
The child gave a blank stare, listless. "I'm thinking of changing classes already. Only my teachers are like that. The students from other classes told me that the teachers in the other classes aren't like that at all."
"Since when was it that easy to change classes? Your school is an elite school. Daddy and mummy spent a lot of effort to get you into that school. You better study harder!" the lady said.
The kid heaved a heavy sigh. "I know. I'll work harder."
"Yup, now that's a good kid."
The elevator reached the floor.
Lin Fan didn't say anything else. All he felt was a sense of helplessness after hearing that situation. The number of similar cases was many. Even if the governing board created new regulations and policies, the people on the ground always would find a way to oppose it. It was an endless cycle.
After talking about school, Lin Fan also recalled his school days.

Lin Fan felt a sense of happiness when he heard that title.
"What's up so early in the morning, Elder Jiang?"
Jiang Fei paused for a while, looking at his watch. "It's already eight thirty, it isn't early at all. Do you remember that guy called Han Lu? He came to the association. He said he was looking for you."
Lin Fan was stunned for a moment. "Looking for me? What for?"
"I'm not sure. We tried asking him to be he didn't say. We thought that he was looking to pick a fight with you but he said it wasn't for that reason," Jiang Fei replied.
Lin Fan couldn't figure out a reason why Han Lu would look for him. "Alright, ask him to wait there. I'll come over in a moment."


I am Lin Fan and I've become a jack of all trades just because of a powerful Encyclopedia.

And, tonight, she feels like reading every bad critique review online. She was pretty sure that isn't making her relax. Instead, that's making her tense and making her more and more obsessed with that, with every passing minute.

She is even reading the tabloids. Normally, only literature sites and international news sites write about her works. And now the tabloids are writing about them—a lot are criticizing ruthlessly.

They've got on her nerves, and she's started muttering her feedbacks. 

"Woah...they think it's so easy to write a bestselling book!" Why don't they write themselves then?

"What?!The love scenes are as if written by a robot?!" What is so bad about robots? Robots are the best.

"What?! Hannah Lee seems to need an actual experience to write romance?!" No. She doesn't.

They are evening telling her what she should and shouldn't do in her personal life. What do they know? it is pretty absurd to date someone in real life to include a few romance parts in her books.

"I am a genius! I can make up theories about everything...including so-called love." Everything is about technique and structure. Love is a psychological trick.

Let's take a break for a minute, her mouth is getting dry for shouting her egoistic opinions consistently. She gets up to drink a glass of water.

Mu Feng: So first question to our Happy-go-lucky Author, why do you use such a pen name?
Flow07: Flow actually was created from my name Florence. My thinking flows like water and I love water. So with my name and thinking process, I started to fancy the word 'Flow'. And 07 means the month of July, my birth month and my favorite number.
Mu Feng: Oh, how creative! Is that why my sister Lan Lan has her birth date on July 14?
Flow07: Yes.
Mu Feng: Okay, next question. Is this the first time that you are writing a novel?
Flow07: Actually, when I was a kid, I used to write poems, basically about my family and relatives. Then, in middle school, I started writing long stories with no particular rules, so those works can't be called novels. And this is the first time I'm writing professionally.
Mu Feng: This novel that you created, what is this about? We read the synopsis, but please explain elaborately.
Flow07: Basically, it is about Hua Lan who becomes Mu Lan in the future. From the time she is born, her life is full of mysteries. The intention of telling them about their history is because it is not that important and it is something that the readers needed to know. But it will play an important role in the future.
Mu Feng: Thank you for giving my family a little importance.
Flow07: Of course I will. Mu has two major characters after all.
