THE SITUATION RIGHT NOW: I've gotten over the majority of my laziness. I'm unlikely to update this much. It's pretty much complete. The novel I'm working on is Dark Seas Leading Demise

I didn't want to write this. I really didn't. I'm delighted that my loyal readers gave this book a chance anyway even though it's different from what other novels are like out there. But, I am going to cancel this novel or update slowly. I tried very hard to persist by writing more chapters. But I can't. I lost my direction and creative voice.

It's NOT the reader's fault. It's my own. I love and appreciate all the feedback and comments given. Readers are allowed to offer opinions and critiques. I praise those who do. It's very insightful and thoughtful. 

The reason why I chose to give up is for two reasons. I lost my direction, meaning that it's not coming out the way I initially wanted it. The reason why is because I felt that since my story is different, I took a risk, which all authors do. We take risks. 

But unfortunately, I changed and re-wrote this story twice because I tried to make it good. But I didn't follow my initial instinct because I was afraid of what people may think, which is my fault for overthinking in the first place. 

Now, for the second reason. I am comparing this book to my first one. Now, it's challenging to grasp attention as a novice writer with no experience. But my first book, "Daughters of the Elite," FAILED the first time. It flopped. Badly. I went in and re-wrote it. 

NOW, it has a million views, hundreds of comments, and dozens of reviews. I never thought it would reach that audience since it's not contracted. But it did, and I'm happy and thrilled! 

The second time I wrote it, I received collections and votes quickly. I struggled at first, but my audience multiplied, once the word spread. My synopsis grabbed people, and I didn't enter any competitions because I didn't like the fact that people had to pay spirit stones. UGH. The amount of money I spent on this app because of 1000+ chapter novels. 

I hated the spirit stone system, so when I began writing, I wanted my stories to be good and free, but the issues are none of my works are promoted for that reason. 

I didn't gain a cent writing DOTE, but it's OKAY. I write these books for fun, but in the end, I know when to stop if it's not doing well. This book is not doing well at all. Which, again, I am not hurt by it that much, because I have book three that keeps me going. 

Before publishing this book, I received many requests and comments about how people were excited about book two, and I feel like I failed you guys. It's mysterious for sure, with some intrigue. But it's not what people want. 

Book 3, however, is anticipated. Now, I already began writing the book, and there are no struggles with it so far in terms of plot writing. *Hopefully* but I should drop this one. I persisted with DOTE; I failed on this one. I'm sorry. 

This book is about love that is thought to be lost but regained over time. 

NOW! I might complete this novel!!! However, updates will be unpredictable. It could be once every few days, maybe once a week. I am focused on book three. 

I really do like writing this book. But again, not many people like the idea of this one, of course, as you readers being the wonderful exception. 

I will be deleting this chapter in 24 hours so I can proceed with new chapters. But again will be mainly working on book three:

Relaxing music from The Legend of Zelda series played in the background as Eranoth prepared to write about one of the darker sides of shapeshifting. "I do not plan to write down all the ways to apply bloodshifting as that would take out people's creative thunder and take way too long."
The man paused to drink more of the 3rd can of mountain dew baja blast. 
"Blood-shifting in simple definition is that there is something in the blood of the creature in question that allows for a transformation. The most common application of bloodshifting is blood corruption. 67% (made up statistic) of Lycanthropy lore is based around blood corruption."
Eranoth popped his fingers and smirked. "To start with the 'easiest' to find lore; we will use a very generic example of this: A Werewolf. Though just a reminder, this applies well beyond the scope of werewolves. Lore and application are different."
"If one does an in depth study of werewolves they would find that there are actually over 30 different variations of werewolf lore so don't begrudge me if I don't use the lore you are expecting. I will likely cover it in a different chapter."
"Whether it is a disease, a curse from a god, or a deal with a devil, most werewolves claim to be humans that have become corrupted by the 'blood of the wolf'. Even the Elderscrolls series uses a blood corruption."
Eranoth slapped his face and erased a few things to avoid going on a tangent. 
"As I said before there are a lot of factors to consider when dealing with shapeshifting. So let's start. Blood corruption Go!" He lifted his hand in a fist heroically.
"HOW? When component X enters the bloodstream of a creature the blood becomes tainted and corrupted. In the case of a werewolf it is the substance known as 'Lycanthropy' With Blood corruption transformations you have to pay close attention to this. If you don't, it is easy to accidentally lore break. The specifics of how can be changed easily: skin touching skin, saliva, blood, (Omitted words for those not yet adults), and so on." 
"WHAT? This is something for the individual author to decide. Usually there is one of four outcomes however more can become applied after all, creative geniuses exist everywhere.
1:Instant mutation- X turns creature into a new species. (In werewolf lore, there is a thing where instead of having a full moon transformation, they just become a wolfman like creature sometimes feral sometimes not.)
1.1 Permanent transformation- Some Lore dictates that once you have become a a new creature you will always be that new creature. In werewolf lore there is some of this as well. Once a werewolf always a werewolf. Most often this lore has a 'conditional release' like meditate in the morning dew every day for a month without eating meat. A condition that would be nearly impossible to complete as the new creature but usually feasible if you were your old self. (This is usually a one-time one-way transformation with conditions to undo it)
1.2 Temporary transformation- Other lore exists that say the transformation acts like a cold or a flu. You catch it, are under its effects and then you get over it and it goes away. In werewolf lore there is a supposed strain of lycanthropy that turns the victim into a bloodthirsty feral werewolf for 7-10 days where they go kill and infect others and after the time, they return to normal unless they catch it again.
2: Conditional Mutation- Under Y conditions, Creature becomes a new species. (Full moon transformation, consumption of a specific substance, etc are conditional transformations)
 2.1: Creature is only new species under Y and is normal species when not. This is rare in werewolf lore but more common with other types of magical transformations. 
 2.2: Creature is extreme new species under Y, is still tainted even when Y is not around. This is the most well known lycanthropic lore. 'You are a werewolf. Things about your human self have changed slightly and you turn into a wolf or a wolfman during the full moon.'
 2.3: Once Y happens, mutation is permanent. This one is not common in lycanthropic lore however other blood curses act under this thing. This is usually a conditional hostile takeover. If resolved before the condition is met then no problem but if the condition is met it is difficult to overcome. 
3:Slow mutation- A progressive change occurs almost so naturally that it is hard to detect until it is too late. (This is also not common in werewolf lore. However think of it in terms of a health defect that progressively gets worse over time. Often it goes unnoticed until it causes a very significant problem. These usually start with the logic and emotions and inner workings of the body before they manifest externally. Most often there are ways to treat the symptoms but not treat the problem.
4: Genetic override or blood swap- Very similar to the permanent instant transformation and slow mutation types. This one is a bit different though. After X infects the bloodline it rejects the creature's original self completely. Turning the creature into a new being. This can be a long or a slow process but this transformation type is often dangerous to put into stories without careful consideration as this is one of many types that can lead to lorebreak easily. My sister RedPandaChick's novel Chdrtlsy: A Short Story uses this form of transformation."
"WHY? Usually it is done as a curse, punishment, or just plain being unlucky. Very rarely is a Blood Corruption type of transformation done willingly or for a good thing. (There are always exceptions to the rules.)"
"As for the other questions, those are more individual to the writer when it comes to blood corruption transformation. Speaking of other questions, with blood corruption there is an extra question to consider. If the creature dies under the effects of the transformation do they revert to their old selves or do they remain in their transformed state?"
"If there is a need for clarification on Blood corruption shapeshifting feel free to let me know. I know not everyone speaks Eranothian. Please know this is only the first of many chapters regarding shapeshifting lore. If I haven't covered it yet, I probably will, as I write more, lots more.
Eranoth took a deep breath. "Whoo, that is a lot. Mother is trying to call me over to figure out my work schedule for the week. So I will take a short break and continue writing."
He rubbed his temples. "Now that that headache is out of the way for the evening… time to continue my info dump in chapter 3. More dealings with blood. As a side note, bloodshifting will take a few more chapters."

Note: Due to the nature of the book, there is very little 'story' but I have tried to break it up a bit with story to make it less of a straight info dump.

Could people really manipulate their memories?
The answer to this question used to be affirmative and would be replied right away. But now, Xiang Wan was somewhat uncertain.
The question Bai Muchuan threw to her had left her deep in thought.
The recent events, be it bizarre or coincidence, she often had a feeling that they were fictitious.
The case was a mess.
She used to write in the direction of her own plot outline, which was smooth.
But as her novel got closer and closer to the actual case, she began to get a little hesitant. She was at a loss of how to continue writing.
Staying up to update her novel? She wanted to do that as well, but she was unable to.
This was probably the aspect where the creative writing industry differed the most from any other job—the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Xiang Wan did not have a good sleep.
Her body was asleep, but her brain was awake. Weird story plots kept popping inside her brain, accompanied by some kind of mournful music that made her vexed and fazed, tossing and turning away.
It was 2 a.m., she gave a yawn and opened her mobile phone, thinking that she might cultivate some sleepy feeling by doing some reading.
In the end—she was exhilarated instead.
Ahhhhh! Oh my god! Second Young Master Mu updated a chapter! she exclaimed inside her head.
She ignored the time and sent Fang Yuanyuan a "harassment" message to inform her before reading the update with relish.
Every word in Second Young Master Mu's book was like gold. They were very precious to her.
She read each word carefully, as all the obsessed fans of Second Young Master Mu would do. They would still treat him like their first love even though he "abused" them thousands of times.
It had been a week since Second Young Master Mu last updated.
Long wait for updates were always a torture to the readers. For the author, it was a test of their popularity. However, Second Young Master Mu was still Second Young Master Mu—even if he updated weekly, his popularity did not even suffer a dip, and there was even a feeling of "scarcity marketing". The more he did that, the more readers cherished him. Every time he updated, the readers acted as though they had discovered a treasure and would go around spreading the word.
Afterward, the readers would start to analyze the case, put things in order, and make inferences. There would be numerous posts that had several times more words than the original content.
Toward Second Young Master Mu, Xiang Wan felt admiration and envy but was never jealous.
It could be said that Xiang Wan's real idol was Second Young Master Mu. She was never a fangirl of any artist nor got infatuated with any young and charming male stars. She only favored Second Young Master Mu and was contented to be his fangirl, to the extent that the reason she chose to write mystery fiction was all because of her love for her idol.
There was hardly any romance plot in his book, but she still liked it nonetheless.
"The real murderer was very cunning. He did not lurk in the dark but was tasting his self-perceived fruit of victory under the sun. However, he did not know that the sunlight might not be able to keep him safe but expose him instead, enabling the police to have the opportunity to bring him to justice."
A chapter with more than 3,000 words had ended.
Wonderful and exciting, the ending of the chapter left a huge cliffhanger on the minds of the readers.
Xiang Wan felt as if her heart and lungs were crying for more. She felt like entering Second Young Master Mu's brains to have a good look…
Unfortunately, not only Xiang Wan, but nobody from the circle of online literature had ever met Second Young Master Mu in real person. 
He was the leader of detective mystery fiction, a well-respected and mighty figure being held on a pedestal. Yet he never participated in any event, nor accepted publicity interviews of any nature and never once showed his face.
He was a mysterious, low profile iconic author in the mystery fiction genre that attracted countless numbers of speculations from fans which caused Second Young Master Mu to get labeled by fabricated godly terms.
The Second Young Master Mu was also "god-like" in Xiang Wan's heart.
But even with her reverence for Second Young Master Mu, Xiang Wan still stared at the laptop, unable to type a single word.
When she had no direction for the main plot, she was unable to write anything.
Ding!
There was an SMS from Detective Bai.
In this era, there were too few people using SMS to communicate, but he was one of them.
"Send over your work when you've completed it!"
"…"
Xiang Wan felt uncomfortable due to the writer's block.
Was this man still waiting for her to write the chapter and send it to him?
Wishful thinking!
"I'll only update tomorrow night, no hurry," she practically snorted when she replied.
However, Bai Muchuan's tone was even colder.

Xiang Wan gave it a thought and felt that his words did not seem quite right.
It seemed as if there was some kind of hint?
She gave a frown as she couldn't make heads or tails of it. Then she grinned and sent another message, "Detective Bai, it's better go to bed early. I've slept and woken up. Goodnight!"
After sending the message, she read Second Young Master Mu's latest chapter two more times before putting down her mobile phone and typed an approximate 2,000-word review on the laptop and posted to her idol's review and comments section. After that, she yawned and lay on the bed.
She took a look at her mobile phone and found that Bai Muchuan had replied to her message.
"If you're able to continue writing the case with a similarity of around 80 to 90 percent before the police solved it, I can make a request to the higher-ups to make an exceptional appointment to employ you as the advisor for the Criminal Investigation Unit…"
Eh? Eh? Eh?
Xiang Wan took a deep breath and rubbed her eyes a few times before she was sure—she did not see wrongly!
Is Bai Muchuan crazy? Employ me as an advisor?
She did not even have the graduation certificate and the degree certificate from Zhong Zheng. It was obviously impossible to become a legal advisor.
If so, what would be her employment? An inference expert? A master with the supernatural ability to foresee cases?
Pffft!
Xiang Wan was amused by her own thoughts, and she was more energized now.

Second Young Master Mu had said that the murderer might not be hiding in the dark, but could be out in the open, under the sun.
With regards to this aspect, it was in line with the direction of her original main outline.
Since she was currently unable to deduce the direction of the real case, why not write it according to her already established general outline?
Right! She's writing her novel "Murder The Dream Guy", not "The Actual Records of 720 Case". She should not deviate from her original direction.
After thinking it through, Xiang Wan found it much easier to write.
She had already thought out her original outline as well as the finer details of the story plot. She gritted her teeth and pulled herself out of the bed.

Nevertheless.
She was still too naive.
How was it possible to write the whole case in just one night?
In the morning, she sent the document to Bai Muchuan. 
Bai Muchuan got Nanny Li to bring the breakfast over to her as well as giving her an order before he went to work—to continue writing and not leave the house until she finished the entire plot for the case.
"… What?"
D*rn it!
This is too incredulous!
Xiang Wan totally could not figure out the reasoning behind Bai Muchuan's actions. 
Both of them had nothing to do with each other—wasn't it too absurd for her to continue staying in his house?
They were not friends, not relatives, and neither were they lovers. Such a strange relationship made her uncomfortable and sticky; especially when facing Nanny Li's ambiguous gaze and Bai Lu's killer eyes, she was particularly exasperated.
What the hell is this?
Could it be that her plot matched with the case development again?
Did Detective Bai think that she had supernatural powers in terms of making inferences for the case?
Or, did he think that her life could be in danger?
When she thought of this possibility, Xiang Wan felt a quiver of fear.
Seriously, from the time the case happened till now, there were some matters that she was unable to explain herself.
With that being the case, which place could be a safer option than staying in a detective's house for her to continue writing?
Write! Stay and write!

Two days later, it was sunshine after rain.
It was July 27, where the day was welcomed by sunshine.
On that day, it was the seventh day of tycoon Zhao Jiahang's death. The case had once again taken a horrifying turn.
"Murder The Dream Guy" was consecutively updated for three days, the case in the book had undergone a series of dramatic reversal of events.
Ah Sheng was not the murderer!
Him being arrested by the police was not what was previously stated. He had deliberately planned in a way for the police to apprehend him. He was actually the scapegoat that the murderer had cleverly planted to take the blow.
The one who tampered with the SUV was Er Niu.
Before her death, she had tampered with the SUV to murder the tycoon, who was the dream guy of many women. However, before Zhao Jiahang had gotten into the fatal accident, she had died of heart failure.
The one who killed her was actually tycoon Zhao Jiahang himself.
He killed her, buried her, yet he died in the hands of his victim.
It sounded a little convoluted. The ending was even more convoluted.
The author threw another mysterious hint at the conclusion of the case—they were all dead, they were all murderers, and yet they were not the actual murderer.
The real murderer…
He… might be smiling under the sun.

An hour after Xiang Wan published her update on July 27, the police released the latest development of the case on their official Weibo.
The result was almost the same as the novel.
After thorough investigations, Wang Tongsheng was not the real murderer.
The half fingerprint found on Zhao's SUV actually belonged to the dead Er Niu.
Er Niu's death was not accidental as well. She was murdered by Zhao Jiahang.
The victim was the murderer, the murderer was the victim.
They had died. They were murderers, and yet they were not the murderer.
At the end of their statement, the editor of the official police Weibo even issued a warning by summarizing Second Young Master Mu and Xiang Wan's novel:
"The real murderer maybe smiling under the sun. However, what he did not know is, being under the sun may not always be safe but expose himself instead, giving an opportunity for the police to nab him."


Aspiring author Xiang Wan was deemed hopeless by her family and better off married when her fourth novel still did not do well. 
Just as she started to doubt herself and wonder if she should continue to pursue her dream as an author, things take an unexpected turn when a dazzling guy appears before her and she was taken away by the police as a prime suspect of a murder case.
A murder had taken place and the details were eerily similar to her mystery novel. 
From then on, her life turned topsy-turvy.

Translator Review:
This is a novel encompassed with mystery, ethics, family ties, and romance. Of course, the highlights of this book are the murder cases. 
Although it’s a modern setup where none of the characters have a system or any other cheats, the Author managed to delight me with her writing, creative plots and a good pace without dragging her story. 
I marvel at the way the Author links up the clues and plot to explain the individual cases as well as paving the way to unravel the huge conspiracy behind the individual murders. Romantic plots are light-hearted so readers could take a breather from the plots of gruesome murders.

Our places on this earth are divided by oceans setting us apart from one continent to another. Several countries speaking several languages to understand each other. People with several cultures and beliefs. Different personalities and opinions.

In this chaotic world, we live in called real life we search for a place to escape from that reality. To be accepted as who or what we are. We have found that in the music we sing. In the books, we read. In the movies we watch. In the places, we travel and visit. Everywhere in which we get inspiration to face reality head-on.

We write stories or poems to inspire others, reading the words we weave from our own world. For some of us, it is simply an escape from reality into a world in which we can use our imaginations to dream make-believe or to live our secret fantasies or just plain be creative.

Getting on the web gives us more ways to share and get connected to other people with the same kind of thinking from across the ocean. Some of the people we meet along the way give us reasons to smile again. It's where we become friends, get to know them well, and get so close that we even trust them enough to share our own greatest fears.

I was a living a kind of living death when I found solace here on Stories Space. A place to write, camouflaging my hatred and sadness from myself when I was reading all the poetry and fictional fantasies created by the writers. I found another escape from reality and indulged in reading.

My feelings from my own troubles in life had made me feel so empty that only through laughter and reading could I be free and somewhat whole again.

I made my own heaven in purgatory.

A friend told me to write down all of my pains and troubles in poems or stories. Another friend of mine told me to be fierce in my poetry writing. I found friends who helped me give my own life a reason to continue living again through writing.

Writing makes me calm every time my mind gets into a panic mode. The pains and the fears of the unknown are my muses for writing.

When I met someone who understood me and made me feel needed and loved my poetry changed its tune. It made me think of happy thoughts. I got inspired by the things I saw and the happy memories of my childhood that I could write about.

Painful memories and realities were always there and so I wrote about them from time to time.

When that someone left me I continued writing. The same inner muse I had gained I used to keep on writing.

Then, out of nowhere, I got to know you. I became happy again. This time I got even more inspired and more creative, experimenting with my writings.

I set aside my shyness and reservations to write creatively. I still can't overcome some of my shyness and reservation but I am blooming, inspired by you.

You became my muse.

The man in the moon. The stars in my darkest hours. When at night I can't sleep thinking of you calms me to sleep.

The sunshine after the heavy storm. Where all the dead trees come to life again. That keeps me warm when everything gets chilly.

My own little heaven in my real life purgatory.

Daeva after bumping with Juno, she thought that her behavior wasn't so nice. But when the school bell rings, she snapped out of it and went to her designated room for her subject. Daeva is a fourth year college student in Literature and Creative Writing. She thought of becoming a writer to write literary pieces based on her experiences. Also, she thought that becoming a writer would allow her to have a small chance of interacting with people.

When she was about to enter her room, her Professor bumped into her. Mrs. Sanchez smiled at her. Daeva greeted her good morning and Mrs. Sanchez greeted her in return.

They both entered the room and Daeva sat at the second row. Mrs. Sanchez greeted her class and began discussing a lesson about her subject. It's also where the book club is rooming. Daeva is a member of the Book club and happens to be a good friend of Kevin, the Book club's president. When Daeva came in, she found Kevin fixing books that weren't returned to the proper shelve. She just picked up some books that were left at the tables and did the same. There weren't too much people in the library for now so she started casually chatting with Kevin.

"Hey Kev, you seem frustrated... What's wrong??" asked Daeva.

"Student School Council Vice President...She destroyed my morning." said Kevin casually.

"What did she do to you?" Daeva felt curious.

"Oh nothing...She just shuted me out... refusing to do some student council duties...or simply take the proposal and leave it to miss President's table... That's all..." Kevin replied.

Daeva didn't asked further what happened...But then, she felt like the person who she bumped with earlier at the hall way was the Vice President.

"The Vice President, was she the campus belle I keep hearing about." Daeva asked.

"Hmm? Yeah, that's her...Why, what's up?" asked Kevin as he finished arranging the books.

"I think she's the pretty blonde girl I bumped with this early morning. She wasn't really polite." Daeva said as she scratches the area where she felt pain while staring at Juno.

Kevin saw Daeva scratched her forearm right bellow her palm. He looked at Daeva with malicious intent. His lips curved up at one side. He then grab Daeva's hand and brought her to the school's clinic. Daeva didn't resisted and just followed Kevin.

The nurse was currently out of the clinic so Daeva's forearm can be treated. She pulled her sleeve up and let Kevin treat her wound. Kevin cleaned the blood off and covered it with bandage. When he was done, Daeva thanked Kevin and they came back to the library. 

There, while Daeva was waiting for her next class like Kevin, they decided to read a book. Daeva picked a random fantasy book while Kevin opened his laptop and read about demons.

"Let's go home together later and just order pizza for dinner, what do you say?" Kevin offered to Daeva.

Daeva just nodded, it's not very often that they go home together. Daeva and Kevin are roommates and oftentimes, Daeva gets home first before Kevin because of his club president duties.

Almost an hour have passed and Kevin closed his laptop. It's time for his next class, Daeva still have over half an hour before her next subject so Kevin just left her. When Kevin left the library, the atmosphere in the library became gloomy. Anyone who's in there felt uncomfortable, some left but some ignored it. Daeva is feeling a bit irritated but what can she do? She can't get rid of them...never...

Daeva kept reading until its just 15min left before her next class. She stood up from her sit and returned the book into one of the shelves. She felt a hand caressed her cheek and hear a chuckle. Daeva ignored it and left the library.

When she's out of the library, she can feel that someone ran "its" fingers on her hair. Her mouth was twitching, slowly forming a malicious grin. She covered her mouth with her hands, then, she took out a face mask from her pants's pocket and covered her grin. She went to her next class as if nothing had happened.

She still have 2 subjects left for her to survive. Her 3rd subject for the day passed as if it was a filler chapter of her day. Nothing very interesting occurred nor the class. But on her final subject of the day: Creative Writing, the class was given an activity and that is to write a poem. The poem have no specific theme but should be rhyming.

Writing poems weren't a problem for Daeva at all. She doesn't limit herself when it comes to writing and its subject. She writes what's in her mind and what she feels. They we're given an hour and when they were done, they are then dismissed. Daeva finished after 30min, she's always the first one to finish. As she passed her work and leaves the room, her professor Mr.Wilson gave her work a read.
