Emica Kana is 18 years old. She has always loved writing stories., They were her escape from reality. She always wished that a man would come and save her like they always do in the stories.
Well, she got her wish.
Emica entered a small writing school that was near a river. Her friend had joined her. But, the teacher had an odd vibe around him. Emica became a little scared of him. She especially became scared when the teacher started to pay more attention to her. One day, when she runs from him, she falls into a world of adventure, risk, and abnormalities. 
But, her teacher is what scares her more than this new world. What secrets and schemes did he use to get her here?

A group of 10 kids is sent to a faraway planet in an extremely faraway galaxy to colonize it. Years ago, when a genius broke the light barrier, intergalactic travel was made possible. As these 10 kids land on planet K195, '19' days away from earth, with no memories of their parents, only creators, watch them struggle and encounter a natural disaster on that planet.

Daeva after bumping with Juno, she thought that her behavior wasn't so nice. But when the school bell rings, she snapped out of it and went to her designated room for her subject. Daeva is a fourth year college student in Literature and Creative Writing. She thought of becoming a writer to write literary pieces based on her experiences. Also, she thought that becoming a writer would allow her to have a small chance of interacting with people.

When she was about to enter her room, her Professor bumped into her. Mrs. Sanchez smiled at her. Daeva greeted her good morning and Mrs. Sanchez greeted her in return.

They both entered the room and Daeva sat at the second row. Mrs. Sanchez greeted her class and began discussing a lesson about her subject. She kept blabbing in front while Daeva glanced at the window. She caught a glimpse of Juno who's about to leave the school gates. As she follows Juno with her eyes, she began to feel a sharp pain at her left forearm. She didn't bother looking at it, she knows that it's currently bleeding so she just pulled her black sleeves lower. She returned her attention to her discussing professor and listens to her.

A couple of subjects passed then Daeva's lunch break arrived. She quickly ate at the cafeteria before going to the library. The school's library was enormous. It's also where the book club is rooming. Daeva is a member of the Book club and happens to be a good friend of Kevin, the Book club's president. When Daeva came in, she found Kevin fixing books that weren't returned to the proper shelve. She just picked up some books that were left at the tables and did the same. There weren't too much people in the library for now so she started casually chatting with Kevin.

"Hey Kev, you seem frustrated... What's wrong??" asked Daeva.

"Student School Council Vice President...She destroyed my morning." said Kevin casually.

"What did she do to you?" Daeva felt curious.

"Oh nothing...She just shuted me out... refusing to do some student council duties...or simply take the proposal and leave it to miss President's table... That's all..." Kevin replied.

Daeva didn't asked further what happened...But then, she felt like the person who she bumped with earlier at the hall way was the Vice President.

"The Vice President, was she the campus belle I keep hearing about." Daeva asked.

"Hmm? Yeah, that's her...Why, what's up?" asked Kevin as he finished arranging the books.

"I think she's the pretty blonde girl I bumped with this early morning. She wasn't really polite." Daeva said as she scratches the area where she felt pain while staring at Juno.

Kevin saw Daeva scratched her forearm right bellow her palm. He looked at Daeva with malicious intent. His lips curved up at one side. He then grab Daeva's hand and brought her to the school's clinic. Daeva didn't resisted and just followed Kevin.

The nurse was currently out of the clinic so Daeva's forearm can be treated. She pulled her sleeve up and let Kevin treat her wound. Kevin cleaned the blood off and covered it with bandage. When he was done, Daeva thanked Kevin and they came back to the library. 

There, while Daeva was waiting for her next class like Kevin, they decided to read a book. Daeva picked a random fantasy book while Kevin opened his laptop and read about demons.

"Let's go home together later and just order pizza for dinner, what do you say?" Kevin offered to Daeva.

Daeva just nodded, it's not very often that they go home together. Daeva and Kevin are roommates and oftentimes, Daeva gets home first before Kevin because of his club president duties.

Almost an hour have passed and Kevin closed his laptop. It's time for his next class, Daeva still have over half an hour before her next subject so Kevin just left her. When Kevin left the library, the atmosphere in the library became gloomy. Anyone who's in there felt uncomfortable, some left but some ignored it. Daeva is feeling a bit irritated but what can she do? She can't get rid of them...never...

Daeva kept reading until its just 15min left before her next class. She stood up from her sit and returned the book into one of the shelves. She felt a hand caressed her cheek and hear a chuckle. Daeva ignored it and left the library.

When she's out of the library, she can feel that someone ran "its" fingers on her hair. Her mouth was twitching, slowly forming a malicious grin. She covered her mouth with her hands, then, she took out a face mask from her pants's pocket and covered her grin. She went to her next class as if nothing had happened.

She still have 2 subjects left for her to survive. Her 3rd subject for the day passed as if it was a filler chapter of her day. Nothing very interesting occurred nor the class. But on her final subject of the day: Creative Writing, the class was given an activity and that is to write a poem. The poem have no specific theme but should be rhyming.

Writing poems weren't a problem for Daeva at all. She doesn't limit herself when it comes to writing and its subject. She writes what's in her mind and what she feels. They we're given an hour and when they were done, they are then dismissed. Daeva finished after 30min, she's always the first one to finish. As she passed her work and leaves the room, her professor Mr.Wilson gave her work a read.

This is a collection of different stories but all told by one person, Daeva. A mysterious young woman who's always very reserved and isolated from everyone. You may approach her like anyone else but beware...

This is a horror/suspense story...please read with caution. You might not be able to sleep at night with lights off and open doors and windows.

She woke up with a tiny ray of sunlight illuminating her left cheek, the light coming from a gap created by her curtain that hung low at the foot of her bed.

With one swift pivot, she rose and sat straight for a while, scratching her head and rubbing off the mounds of saliva that dried off at the side of her mouth-- she drools a lot after all.

She checked her phone that lay idle at her bedside table; grasping it with a sleepy grip, she opened it and checked for messages. Her eyes widened upon seeing that there were 20 texts from various people.

One came from her college best friend, Phlan, with a text asking her if she'd attend her 8 a.m. class. She smiled in rebellion. Of course she won't. Given that she just woke up, no Breone will be attending her creative writing subject this morning.

The other 18 texts were from her annoying brother, Kevin. She opened one of the texts and found that it was a drunk text. "Ure ugleyhb as hecrckk, Breone." The text read. "Well, at least he got my name's spelling correct." She whispered, mustering a smile only her brother can paint on her face.

She did bother to read the other drunk texts her brother sent her. She scrolled through her phone and got to the bottom of her inbox and saw a text from someone she never thought would text her at this time, Jared. She opened the message and it read: "Are you free this afternoon? I have a coupon from that favorite korean barbeque place you love. I received it for free since I celebrated my birthday there last night. I plan on giving it to you. Do you want it?"

Her heart rejoiced but then ached. How could Jared not invite her to his celebration last night? Was she only a friend that's as good as a coupon's worth? 

She exited the message, not bothering to reply and threw her phone to her bed. Frustrated early in the morning, she crashed her body back to bed. She wouldn't let Jared's text affect her mood. He's only a guy. "Well a guy you truly like." Her mind whispered. 

Frustrated by this notion, she turned to her left to see if her roommates were still on their beds. Breone lived in a dormitory that's inside her university. Convenient, one might say but lonely and utterly depressing for Breone.

Seeing that she was the only one in her room, she went back to sleep, totally bearing in mind to wake up at 1 in the afternoon, just enough to miss her second class, and then she'd be free for the rest of the day. 

Breone has this silly nick to her attitude. She's often absent in her classes but she still passes with flying colors. Her professors don't seem to mind this habit of hers since she still delivers well even if she's absent two or three times a week in a subject.

Before she closed her eyes, she thought of Jared. How she secretly liked him for years. How her heart flutters whenever he asks her to go on a food trip with him.

It is during those moments she is reminded that this is what it feels like to have someone accompany you even in the silliest of trips, this is how it feels to just have someone by your side. But Jared isn't hers. And maybe, it will stay that way.

With doubt clouding her thoughts, she decided to sleep it off. 

With Jared as the last thought in mind, she drifted back to sleep with a heavy heart.

Isekai isn't a complicated subject when you relate it to the Otaku's Journey where a regular individual suddenly becomes awesome because they are not a NEET anymore but a super powerful chick magnet...

However, there's more to this trope than what meets the eye. You all must know by now what this trope-becoming-a-genre means by now, right? It's basically being sent into Another World.

However, though it's recently become popular, Alice in Wonderland and the Wizard of Oz did it before being Isekai'd by Truck-kun became a meme. The amount of Anime references on this is amazing!

...Amazing, but also limiting in a way. The true potential of Isekai can't even be reached by those who awkwardly try their hand at writing, their eyes become tainted by the tropes already established.

So instead of introducing you to all those meaningless tropes that only work if you're writing a very specific Power Fantasy, let us talk about the bare bones basics to get this trope to work.

Firstly, you need to transport someone to the Other World somehow (magic is the most generic but not mandatory. You can even make it a 'portal' from science fiction as well). 

Secondly, you need a world to transport them to. 

Thirdly, an overarching plot in the story.

And lastly, your character needs a drive (it can range from surviving to being the best at being a trap).

Anything other than these four points are just established tropes people keep reusing like the oddly familiar RPG-esque Medieval Fantasy World to the fact it always has to be about fantasy elements.

"Isekai's are great because the reader understands the very vast world as much as the main character."

My only question to those senseless writers who take this benefit at face value is: So what?

I've said in my Shounen Formula analysis that overarching plots must be mixed with motives.

For example: What does the character want? And what does the world they travelled to want?

Maybe the world wants to be saved in your typical Demon King Vs Hero plots. However, what is the point of your character being Isekai'd into that if his existence of being an Earthling means nothing?

In Knight and Magic, they added a robot otaku and engineer even though his past was irrelevant...

Do people not even care about 'mystique' anymore?

Even Isekai Smartphone was a better Isekai than the uninspired Fantasies churned out these days...!

Jobless Reincarnation (Mushoku Tensei) isn't getting an Anime Adaptation for no reason. The entire point of why that Isekai actually worked wasn't because it showed the character as a baby but because the author already aligned his motives with the plot.

He wanted to become a better and more hardworking person than in his past life, and the world was just the right stage for the main character to do just that! That story also showed clear understanding of redemption arcs and was much more aware that people don't change at the drop of a hat even if they realised their errors. It takes repeatedly going against your nature and understanding empathy to truly change inwardly.

What I'm trying to say ISN'T to create a world that has a plot that perfectly aligns with his goals but have a more broader creative ambition than just shoving any old nobody into a Medieval Fantasy World. No one cares how powerful your character's Holy Sword is compared to others nor do they care about a guy who is cheating the game of life.

What people want is drama and the consequences of being reincarnated when your motives doesn't align with what the world wants. If you shove a normal guy into a Medieval Fantasy World where a Summoned Hero must help humanity... he might not choose to save the world, but might even take the Demons side since to him, all Humans of this other world are just aliens. Not only that but they most likely don't have methods to send him back if he actually had a life on Earth before being summoned.

In other words, if you're going to write seriously then stop thinking of tropes and 'what is now popular'.

Isekai is supposed to be about someone from beyond, an alien like us, transporting to someone else's home world. How they deal with that change is exactly what Isekai is about... not Fantasy!

If you don't have a reason to use this trope, don't as it only worsens what could become a good story if you focus on other areas. Don't simply use it as a tool for giving the MC what amounts to amnesia.

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

I am not that pleasant to the eye. I have these forever tiny pimples that take shelter on my face. And I think I have gotten big over the years of stress-eating. 

This guy in front of me does not think so though. 

/"I was wondering if you wanted to grab some dinner later."/ 

Or maybe he is just making fun of me and this is some kind of prank he is trying to pull off with his jock of a friends. I have seen this guy and he is the new member of the basketball team of Moordale High. I have not known him that much, but I know the basketball boys were assholes. 

This guy standing in front of me is a sophomore and it sucks that he is taller than me. He has brown curly hair, black eyes, and frickeled cheeks. And I think he is pleasant to the eyes, too pleasant. 

/"I was wondering if you wanted to grab some dinner later."/ 

Too straightforward to even be believable. I look boringly back at his eyes, which showed nervousness. He glances at something behind my back. The jockholes look like they are snickering. 

I grab the books from my lockers and look back at him.

"Trust me, you don't wanna be like them." I walk away from him and towards my first period. 

You see, the basketball players at my school hate me. They hate me for accidentally finding out their secret. I never meant to intrude but they were just not that careful. That's why they left me alone, sadly my proof was shattered by them, my phone, and now I had nothing against them. Just kidding, I backed it up on my laptop. I am not that fucking stupid. One more dirty move, and their parents will know that their precious innocent sons are actually not that innocent anymore. 

Wednesday is the best school day. Creative Writing is first period. And I love the subject. And I get to be with Atlas in the same room. 

I quickly go to my seat and write my thoughts and feelings of the day. Mr. Harrington has this idea of writing down what we are feeling and I don't know for what purpose. 

/I think I will be fine./

He has not yet arrived. I roll the paper and put it in the box of his table. 

I turn to my seat to find Atlas already sitting and writing down on his paper. He is 7 seats away from me. He is in front while I was at the back.

In no time, the students filled the room and Mr. Harrington started his lecture of the day. I listened to him properly but my mind keeps bringing me back to what happened this morning.

/"Your mom is coming here tomorrow, please clean your room."/ I hear my dad's voice. It was not my mom, coming to the house, that was bothering me. It was my dad. Sure, he changed. But everything was awkward at the house, he is always early for work and arrives so late. He does not look at me when he says something. We don't eat together. It's like we are two strangers living in the same house. Like housemates that are supposed to get along. We don't get along. He barely even talks to me. It has always been like that. I was always the one initiating the conversation when we eat together, which barely happens. I tell him about school and he would reply with words that are blank and I ask him about work and he'll say it's okay and the conversation ends.

/I think I will be fine/ I snap out of my thoughts and look back at Mr. Harrington who has started reading the rolled papers. 

"Whoever you are, remember that it gets better. Your day might have started badly, does not mean it ends badly, do something fun, something you want to do. It's a bad day, not a bad life." Mr. Harrington was good at motivation and making students feel better. I wonder why isn't the guidance councilor when he was better than Mrs. Yuan. 

"I beat off three tim..." the class is in hysterics, including me. "Now, what did I say about this stuff?..." He rambles on and on about the use of language and then continued to read the other papers, which of course, had plenty more unclean contents. 

I look back at Atlas, whose back I can only see. He is laughing along with the class, his broad shoulders bobbing in the process. 

He is good at poetry as well. He is good at everything he does. He is this perfect student, this perfect jock, this perfect son, this perfect boyfriend, but he will never be a perfect friend. 

Suddenly, I am so angry. Angry at him. Angry for what he has done. Angry that he gave up on our friendship. Angry that he blamed me for his parents separation when his parents actually had reunited and stayed a perfect family in town. Angry that he did not even reach out and try to recompense. Angry that he chose to be friends with assholes. Angry that he is unattainable. 

And I am angry at myself, for not being able to let go. For messing things up. For not being able to save my parents' marriage. Angry at my mother for leaving. Angry at my mother who has built a new family and they are probably talking and not awkward with each other. Angry at my father for cheating. Angry that he isn't proud of his faggot of a son that he could not even talk to let alone look at. I am angry that I chose him. 

I am angry at myself for being the way I am. I am angry that as I sit here, my eyes blinking back tears, looking at Atlas' back, I realize that I am jealous of him. That I have always been. And I hate it. 

"Mr. Jones, are you okay?" I look back at my 6'4 teacher who is now standing in front of me. I know all eyes are on me. They are probably looking at me weirdly, including Atlas. But I don't look at any.

I clear my throat.
"Um, yeah... I am okay sir."

I will always say I am okay.

"…sitting behind is care, but no effort left is there to share."
                One of the girls the room definitely recites her poem the least emotion. That last line tells everything why. Almost eight students have been called in front, and so far, their language is flawless. Most of them must have been to a state of America or Australia, but the Asian accent still finds its way to be felt between their words. Everyone is expectant to be called as Mr. Hwang once again stands in the middle of the front aisle.
                "Thank you Karen. And for the last presenter, let's have…"
                I can feel his intention to call on me. The willingness in the faces of my classmates is not strong enough to overpower my intimidation to be called in front. And without a doubt…
                "Marcus, please recite to use your poem that we may have a glance of who you are."
                Everyone is, once again, clapping at this new student who is the most foreign of all. The mere minute left for me to write has not given me enough time to artfully word the obscurity of my gender.
                Amidst the overflowing fear to be hated, I stand before these new faces who have no clue who is about to speak to them. South Korea is known to be one of the most conservative nations of this modern world, and what I am about to tell them will definitely alter their view—and to which direction, I am not sure.
There is a heart that beats
Covered by skin and muscles inside my chest.
For all, it works to provide life.
For some, it pumps to keep themselves alive.
For few, it throbs for someone else's love.
For me, it beats under my chest
Still unsure of which it for exists.
                I anticipate my speech to end in silence, but the burst of applause tells me that they did not grasp the hidden message that lingers with those words. They may have been amazed by the integration of elements in writing a good literature, but their focus to that makes me upset because the essence of my poem has not been savored accordingly.
                Nonetheless, Mr. Hwang's eyes whisper a message of understanding and worry. This gesture explains how much competent he is for this subject because he has the ears and eyes to discern.
                I thank the bell for ringing right on time. With that, I have a plausible reason to escape from the hook of everyone's attention. I rush to grab my things from my seat and pretend to take my time putting them back to my bag. I should feign being slow to buy them time to leave the room.
                "Marcus, your poem is substantial and creative." Mr. Hwang compliments when everyone has left the room except me.
                "Inside you is a poet whose composition is destined to be heard. To be written in just few minutes, your poem is just great."
                "…and brave." A third person's voice cuts my conversation with Mr. Hwang.
                His subtle movements make I and Mr. Hwang believe we were alone in the room. Nonetheless, there sits the tall guy whose desk is opposite of mine. But the growing pace of my heartbeat is not caused by his presence, I assessed. It is his comment which rushes the rhythm of my breathing.
                I know I am required to give the next comment, but there is nothing in my mind now that I can grasp to tell. Good thing the tall guy leaves the room right after he feels the awkward atmosphere.
                
                In all the classes I have for this day, that last class is the most memorable. By that, I mean, a bittersweet-kind of memory. Until now, my thoughts are hovering around the quick comments I received from being myself. I wonder how bare that line was.
       Still unsure of which it for exists.
                It can mean "unsure" of which person it is existing for. It can be that girl who attended the same school as I back in elementary, or that other girl who lives next to us back in the Philippines. However it can mean, I know in myself that it means it is unsure whether a man or woman it exists for… and two of the people in that room understood what I meant. Mr. Hwang's reaction has an embrace of encouragement, while that guy's comment does not clearly reveal anything at all. And that mere thing makes it even worse to think about.
                The depth of my introspection allows me to reach the dormitory unwittingly. There I stand in front of the door to room 408, thanks to that other guy in the elevator for assisting me find the place faster.
                On that door, there is my name and someone named "Kim Seung Min". He clearly is Korean, I thought. My roommate, I hope, is the best person I will ever meet in this country.
I tap the card that guy handed me in class. The door produces some sound which tells me it is unlocking. I clutch the knob. The room is more stunning than I expected! It is bright and very conducive for learning and writing those masterpieces I am about to create.
I remove my shoes before entering the bedroom proper as Korean culture has taught me. I caress most of the furniture in the room, and the mere touch of them shows me "heaven"!
I have never lived in this kind of luxurious room! I sniff the luxurious air that lingers inside my new room for almost a year. The scent is so aromatic that my eyes unconsciously closed themselves to heighten the moment's feeling. But that grand moment is snipped by the opening of the bathroom door.
Surprisingly, it is that tall guy in the classroom.
More surprisingly, he seems to know I am his roommate and my presence does not seem to bother him at all.
And Most surprisingly, he is not wearing anything at all!
                Let me correct myself. He is wearing his nude boxers. Sorry for the wrong info.

In that land he barely knew, he convinced himself to dare to play the most dangerous game. It is either he falls or he fails. Love just cant be won over.

A fiber of connection from miles away...



Our places on this earth are divided by oceans setting us apart from one continent to another. Several countries speaking several languages to understand each other. People with several cultures and beliefs. Different personalities and opinions.

In this chaotic world, we live in called real life we search for a place to escape from that reality. To be accepted as who or what we are. We have found that in the music we sing. In the books, we read. In the movies we watch. In the places, we travel and visit. Everywhere in which we get inspiration to face reality head-on.

We write stories or poems to inspire others, reading the words we weave from our own world. For some of us, it is simply an escape from reality into a world in which we can use our imaginations to dream make-believe or to live our secret fantasies or just plain be creative.

Getting on the web gives us more ways to share and get connected to other people with the same kind of thinking from across the ocean. Some of the people we meet along the way give us reasons to smile again. It's where we become friends, get to know them well, and get so close that we even trust them enough to share our own greatest fears.

I was a living a kind of living death when I found solace here on Stories Space. A place to write, camouflaging my hatred and sadness from myself when I was reading all the poetry and fictional fantasies created by the writers. I found another escape from reality and indulged in reading.

My feelings from my own troubles in life had made me feel so empty that only through laughter and reading could I be free and somewhat whole again.

I made my own heaven in purgatory.

A friend told me to write down all of my pains and troubles in poems or stories. Another friend of mine told me to be fierce in my poetry writing. I found friends who helped me give my own life a reason to continue living again through writing.

Writing makes me calm every time my mind gets into a panic mode. The pains and the fears of the unknown are my muses for writing.

When I met someone who understood me and made me feel needed and loved my poetry changed its tune. It made me think of happy thoughts. I got inspired by the things I saw and the happy memories of my childhood that I could write about.

Painful memories and realities were always there and so I wrote about them from time to time.

When that someone left me I continued writing. The same inner muse I had gained I used to keep on writing.

Then, out of nowhere, I got to know you. I became happy again. This time I got even more inspired and more creative, experimenting with my writings.

I set aside my shyness and reservations to write creatively. I still can't overcome some of my shyness and reservation but I am blooming, inspired by you.

You became my muse.

The man in the moon. The stars in my darkest hours. When at night I can't sleep thinking of you calms me to sleep.

The sunshine after the heavy storm. Where all the dead trees come to life again. That keeps me warm when everything gets chilly.

My own little heaven in my real life purgatory.

Kagome grew restless in her room. Apparently, after her falling asleep in the garden, Sesshoumaru had brought her to her room, and informed Izumi to make sure she stayed there, and could only come out for eating and bathing.

After a couple days, she was mostly depressed, but upon hearing Sesshoumaru out, instead of becoming angry, she agreed it was best to stay off of her feet until a healer arrived. She had been surprised when she had first confronted the demon lord, that he had not moved to strangle her because she had yelled at him. Upon realizing her behavior, she apologized. He seemed to not care whether she was truly sorry or not, but nodded his head to appease her.

Most of the time during her confinement, she admired her room. The furniture was reminiscent of western civilization, not Japanese. Four poster bed, wardrobe, and dresser, all in oak and adorned with the mark of the white dog house, the crescent moon. Izumi had said that when Sesshoumaru had traveled as a pup with his father, they had come across people who slept on raised beds that were comfortable. The former Dog Lord had commissioned people to build the beds based on his descriptions of them from his memory.

Kagome sometimes would hobble to her bedroom window, yet it seemed someone was always outside her door, and would either carry her to the window or back to her bed. At one point, she requested pen and paper, just to keep her from going stir crazy. She wrote about her journey and even somehow found enough of a creative streak to write over a dozen poems. Sometimes she drew. She had always loved to draw and had been told she was fairly good. She had after much begging, drawn Izumi.

After a week, Sesshoumaru ushered Rin into her room.

"Since you have become bored, here is your student. I expect you to teach her proper grammar, writing, etiquette, and any other suitable subject," Sesshoumaru said, as Rin latched onto Kagome.

"Yay! Rin is going to learn many things from Kagome!" she exclaimed, her grin revealing that she had lost another tooth.

"Ooh, looks like you lost another tooth!" Kagome smiled.

"Yep! Jaken says my big people teeth are growing in," Rin said and then was sad. "He said when Rin has all of her big people teeth that Lord Sesshoumaru will send Rin away."

"That idiot. Jaken knows not what this Sesshoumaru will do," Sesshoumaru growled, very angry to learn that Jaken was saying cruel things to his ward.

"So Rin will get to stay with Lord Sesshoumaru when Rin's big people teeth are all in?" Rin asked, very hopeful.

"Yes," Sesshoumaru replied.

'I'm going to punt that toad over the moon!' he growled to himself as Rin hugged his leg.

"Thank you, Lord Sesshoumaru. Rin is very happy and honored," she grinned as tears of happiness flowed freely from her eyes.

The scent of tears alarmed Sesshoumaru, but it confused him as her face clearly had a grin on it. Kagome remembered that Inu Yasha had been confused when she had cried tears of joy and quickly responded, "Rin is very happy. Sometimes humans, when we are happy and the emotion is great, we cry tears of happiness. I know sometimes it is confusing for demons that are not familiar with human ways, as even InuYasha had been confused about it too."

Sesshoumaru looked down at Rin and leaned down, something a demon lord was rarely found to do, and at eye level said, "This Sesshoumaru is pleased that Rin is happy ,and wishes for Rin to always be happy."

Rin hugged Sesshoumaru, shocking both the great demon and Kagome. Kagome was almost sure that Sesshoumaru would have growled, but he let her hug him, then carefully removed her, saying, "Now is time for your lessons with Kagome."

"Yes! Rin will learn many things and make Lord Sesshoumaru proud," she grinned as Sesshoumaru rose and exited the room.

Now that Rin occupied her time, Kagome's cabin fever vanished, as she happily made out lessons for her. Kagome had taught Shippou how to read and write, so she was certain she could also teach Rin.

Finally, after two weeks, a healer arrived and observed Kagome's ankle, then commended Sesshoumaru for his expert hand at taking care of the sprain. The healer then said that Kagome could venture about, however, she was not to overtax herself.

Kagome was ecstatic, however surprised InuYasha had not visited yet. She still felt a bit guilty for sending him away and also because she was not helping out with the shard hunting. Kagome's decision had forced InuYasha to ask of Kikyo's help, according to Sesshoumaru's cunning ways of obtaining information. That in itself worried her, since InuYasha had said that Kikyo had put a spell on him. She hoped that InuYasha would avoid any alone time, as she was certain Kikyo was stubborn enough to keep pursuing him. She wondered what InuYasha was doing and thinking. She even wondered how her friends were doing. She laughed, just thinking how many times Miroku had probably got beaten upside the head for groping Sango. She worried for Shippou, knowing how he and InuYasha sometimes got on each other's nerves. InuYasha could be a bit rough, but he never hurt Shippou terribly.

Sesshoumaru entered her room, interrupting her thoughts. She looked up and smiled. He had been pleasant and she decided, 'Perhaps it is not so bad here.'

"What can I do for you today, Lord Sesshoumaru?" she said, bowing.

Sesshoumaru was a bit surprised. Kagome had never bowed to him before, and rarely called him by his title. It was kind of unnerving as he was getting use to her ways. He was pleased that she was giving him the proper respect.

"No need to bow, Kagome. You will start training with this Sesshoumaru starting next week," he informed her. "Izumi will be in shortly to take measurements for your fighting uniform."

"Thank you, milord," Kagome replied as he left.

Kagome runs from Inu Yasha thinking he betrayed her. She ends up running into Sesshoumaru thinking her life has literally gone to Hell. Despite her travels to find the shards of the Shikon no Tama, her journey is about to get much more fickle than ever.

I and my best friend Margie Rose Domingo are walking to the school ground trying to head our way home. I swear I feel so tired and stressed after that long remedial exam given by our professor since he said that our records are hanging low so all his class stayed late just to comply. The whole school surroundings are now starting to darken but few students are also heading home. 
 
"Wow! I can't believe sir did it again. It's already late see, it's already 6:10 and I'm so tired." I said as I fixe my shoulder bag into my right shoulder, I simply look at my friend beside me seeing her also worn out face.
 
"Yap talks about much too much reminders for next semester. Did you take that form they had given us?" my best friend and partner in many crazy things Margie Rose Domingo asks as I just nod and looks at the trail going to the main road.
 
"Well, what can I say? They must be worried we might transfer to another schools. I am starting to get pressured by this course's subjects. The teachers are giving us too expensive projects and such. It's too stressing for me." I said with a deep sigh of weariness while I rub my aching neck.
 
"Forget that, I'm starving. Can we stop for food?" said Rose while she rubs her stomach that made me and her to laugh. 
 
"Say, whoever had the lowest grade in Creative writing shall treat for our meal." Rose said while winking at me, our teacher in that subject is a terror so I bet our grades are hanging.
 
"Game! That's our deal. Make sure you have extra money there alright." I said jokingly while smirking as we both take our class cards in our bags.
 
"Okay, as we agreed the one with a lowest grade shall pay. On the count of three we shall show our class card." Rose said and I nod thinking that I can pay since I have some extra money with me if ever I lose.
 
We both count into three then show our class cards making Rose grunt upon seeing my grade. I smile in triumph seeing that I have an 87 on my creative writing while 86 on Rose' making me do the victory dance we both usually do.
 
"Alright! A deal is a deal no back outs." I said as Rose sigh then smiles nodding.
 
"No problem." Rose said making me look at her in surprise.
 
"A-Are you sure. Don't tell me you got paid with your part time job in that CD store?" I said looking at my hard working friend who has a part time job on the CD store where I usually hang out just to accompany her.
 
"Hmnn yap. Don't worry about it." Rose said making me sigh knowing that my friend is working none stop because of her mother's medication. 
 
We are walking on the side walk when my cellphone starts to ring. I immediately open my bag and take my cellphone out just to look at it in surprise upon seeing my father's caller Id that made me furrow my eyebrows. I reluctantly slides the answer button somehow I don't know why but I feel so nervous, I slowly place my cellphone on my right ear.
 
"Hello pa." I said waiting for him to speak.
 
When I hear what he say I place my cellphone back into my pocket then looks at my friend looking so apologetic.  Rose look at me wondering while I shake my head looking so dismayed.
 
"What's wrong?" Rose said as she looks at me.
 
"Sorry Rose I have to head back home as soon as possible. They said there is something important they need to tell me. Let's eat out next time. I feel bad since this is our last day together." I said as I look at Rose really dismayed.
 
"Too bad, it's already semester break and the school will be on emergency break making it 3 months of break. We won't see each other again for that long. Are you going back to your province straightaway?" Rose said as we continue walking towards the jeep's station.
 
"I don't know; it's just a little bit weird why my parents are here this late without telling me earlier that they will be here. Something must have come up. I'll text you if ever we can get a chance to eat out.�� I sadly said before I wave my friend goodbye. 
 
"Okay, call or text me okay." Rose waves back towards me on the window of the jeep after she sits on the jeep.
 
As I quietly sit on the jeep I start think as to why my parents are here this late and are waiting for me at my uncle Oliver's house. I wonder why they ask me to head home as soon as possible, that I should immediately head to my uncle Oliver's house and not to the boarding house I am staying which is just beside my uncle's house. The tone of my father's voice made me really nervous. He seems to be so sad while I speak to him a while ago. When I arrive at the gate of Uncle Oliver's house I see an expensive car parked into uncle's frond yard, I sigh then I enter the gate quietly.
 
"Odd, do they have a guest today? This is my first time seeing a car like this visiting uncle. Not to mention it is already late. For a guest to be here on a time like this they must be someone close but I never seen this car before." I said in wonder as I look closely to that expensive looking black car.
 
I slowly climb the stairs towards my uncle's porch and then I stop in front of the door. I sigh while I stand near the door of my uncle's house, I am still deciding if I will knock or just press that darn door bell. I don't know why but I feels so nervous, like something ominous is about to happen. Somewhat, I feel so uneasy. I take a deep breath and slowly knock. The door opens revealing my elementary crush, Michael Adamson. He has this sun tanned skin, black clean cut hair, 6'4 height, muscular built, gray eyes and reddish lips. He is what I call a sun tan god.
 
"Hi. Uhmnn Anna this uhmnn warn you.... I-I just want to warn you. B-be ready for anything that will about to happen. Come in." Michael said as he steps aside to let me in. 
 
I feel so nervous most especially when he said that. The way he said it sound like trouble is about to come.
 
"O-kay.... what is going on?" I ask still confused to what he just said, this is the first time Michael talk to me first but the sound of his hoarse voice made me very nervous.
 
"J-Just be ready, because everything you know is about to change." He said with an awkward smile.
 
I am confused upon hearing what he said. This made me even nervous and uneasy, my relationship with Michael ever since elementary is so cold and yah! Nothing at all, we never talked to each other normally. Even from the time he came to stay with my uncle for college and that we see each other every day since we are walking on the same places every time, yet we never have shared a very interesting conversation at all. We seem to feel awkward with each other's presence thus the cold ice we feel every time one is near.
 
"Ah, Michael. W-what do you mean by that? A-are my parents in here?" I ask trying to hide my blushing face and that nervousness I am feeling. 
 
He smiles and signs me towards the kitchen so I now got my answer to where my parents are. 
 
"Th-They have been waiting for you in there. Ahmnnn Anna, good luck." He said making my face burn but at the same time my heart beats fast. 
 
I don't know if it's because Michael talks to me casually for the first time or that he smiled handsomely OR for something else?
 
"R-Right, thanks." I just said acting cool about it.
 
Michael closes the door and he walks towards the sofa right at the living room and sits beside Casper and Ian. Casper, Ian, and Nina are watching a movie; those 3 are my Uncle Oliver's children and my really unsocial cousins but they are cool when you get to be open up with them. Michael on the other hand is related to my Uncle Oliver's family because Michael's father is distant relative of my Uncle Oliver's wife, Aunt Cedes. And when Michael's father died my aunt take him into their house to help him study and she pays for Michael's studies in exchange he must stay to Uncle Oliver's house and help in his shop. Aunt Cedes is abroad so we seldom see her during our stay here.
 
"Anna dear, is that you? Come on here at the kitchen we have been waiting for you." I hear my uncle's call from the kitchen and since their kitchen and living room table are separated with a wall divider, I can't see who are there or if my parents are there. 
 
I take a deep breath when I see my niece Clayra running towards me and then keep on pulling my bag so I had no choice but to let my cute 4 years old niece have it. 
 
"Careful Clayra." I said as I watch how she is struggling to carry my bag towards the sofa where the others are sitting.
 
I slowly walk towards the kitchen divider as Clayra sit on the sofa next to Michael and starts to ransack my bag. I instantly turn red at the thought that Michael is looking into the content of my bag. My so messy and full bag, not to mention all my class cards are there so he can see my not so well but doing fine grades. I see that Clayra found what she is looking for when she stops looking into my shoulder bag and left it scattered on the sofa beside Michael. 
 
"Too messy." I utter almost a whisper looking at my niece's mess.
 
I shake my head and sighs upon seeing all my papers, class cards and notebooks scattered there while Clayra sit happily as she opens the candy she found. Michael looks at me and then he smiles, he starts to pick all my stuff and carefully return it into the bag. When he looks at me I mouth him my thanks before I take one last deep breath before I continue heading towards the kitchen just to see my parents and my 3 siblings, my elder sister Arsey the mother of my niece, my brother Ezzar and my sister Daisy sitting on the wide dining table together with my uncle Oliver and 3 new faces. 
 
"Hel-lo." I softly said as I nervously look at them, I somehow feel uneasy about this.
 
There is this lovely lady who turns to look at me and starts to cry. She has this dark hairs and fair skin; she is wearing a blue dress while her hair is in messy bun. Beside the lady is a man who is patting the lady's back as his eyes gazes at me, weird. The man has this black hair and a tan skin; he is also wearing a formal suit, those types we usually see worn by business men. On the other side of the man is another man, a man in his 50's and is also looking at me..... so weird. In front of the man is a black bag or in business term, a brief case.
 
"Oh don't just stand there dear. Come and sit so we can start... explaining things." My mother Mary Marcelo said sadly who is sitting beside my father August Marcelo. 
 
I sigh before I walk towards an empty seat just in front of the 3 visitors. I slowly sit and notice that their eyes are all towards me. My heart starts to pound heavily. What trouble did I cause this time? Who are these 3 weird visitors who look at me as if they are looking into a food? But despite of my thundering heartbeat and nervousness I have to act cool about this.
 
"U-uhmmnn what is going on?" I manage to say as I look around the table to look at my family's faces.
 
Why do I feel so uneasy about all of these? I look at my family and I can feel this dark sad aura surrounding them making me scared and nervous. But when I look at the two new faces in front of me, I feel this uncertain warmth in my heart... so weird. To my observation they must be couple seeing how the handsome 30's looking man hugs the woman who is also so pretty and looking like in her 30's to. The way they are looking at me makes me feel so warm, happy, nervous, and scared also not to mention I feel like vomiting all at ones. Who are they and why is the atmosphere feel so tight? Why does my parents look so sad and distressed?
 

Every one of us must have watch or read any fairy tale books in our entire life. Fairy tale story like: Snow white, sleeping beauty and our famous Cinderella. It must be great to live in a rich life where everything you want is given or provided, a life with servants at our disposal, and a life with a handsome prince charming ready to save us. But.....THIS certain story is not like any fairy tale story we had read and watched. This story is about being brave, being you and being who you want to be.

Anna Marie Marcelo is like any normal college girl who dreamed of a fairy tale like life but ends up accepting the reality that she is a farmers’ daughter and that’s just it. This made her study hard and work harder for the dream she wants to achieve in the near future. Together with her friend Margie Rose Domingo, they both face the reality of their boring, normal yet contented life.

A sudden change happens to Anna that causes a stir into her normal life. She will find herself wearing gowns, expensive dresses, and high class jewelries and dine in the finest food chains. Meets handsome but arrogant princes charming. Almost like a fairy tale story….a Cinderella story, but THIS is not a fairy tale story THIS is HER story.
