She especially became scared when the teacher started to pay more attention to her. One day, when she runs from him, she falls into a world of adventure, risk, and abnormalities.

THE SITUATION RIGHT NOW: I've gotten over the majority of my laziness. I'm unlikely to update this much. It's pretty much complete. The novel I'm working on is Dark Seas Leading Demise

Kagome grew restless in her room. Apparently, after her falling asleep in the garden, Sesshoumaru had brought her to her room, and informed Izumi to make sure she stayed there, and could only come out for eating and bathing.

After a couple days, she was mostly depressed, but upon hearing Sesshoumaru out, instead of becoming angry, she agreed it was best to stay off of her feet until a healer arrived. She had been surprised when she had first confronted the demon lord, that he had not moved to strangle her because she had yelled at him. Upon realizing her behavior, she apologized. He seemed to not care whether she was truly sorry or not, but nodded his head to appease her.

Most of the time during her confinement, she admired her room. The furniture was reminiscent of western civilization, not Japanese. Four poster bed, wardrobe, and dresser, all in oak and adorned with the mark of the white dog house, the crescent moon. Izumi had said that when Sesshoumaru had traveled as a pup with his father, they had come across people who slept on raised beds that were comfortable. The former Dog Lord had commissioned people to build the beds based on his descriptions of them from his memory.

Kagome sometimes would hobble to her bedroom window, yet it seemed someone was always outside her door, and would either carry her to the window or back to her bed. At one point, she requested pen and paper, just to keep her from going stir crazy. She wrote about her journey and even somehow found enough of a creative streak to write over a dozen poems. Sometimes she drew. She had always loved to draw and had been told she was fairly good. She had after much begging, drawn Izumi.

After a week, Sesshoumaru ushered Rin into her room.

"Since you have become bored, here is your student. I expect you to teach her proper grammar, writing, etiquette, and any other suitable subject," Sesshoumaru said, as Rin latched onto Kagome.

"Yay! Rin is going to learn many things from Kagome!" she exclaimed, her grin revealing that she had lost another tooth.

"Ooh, looks like you lost another tooth!" Kagome smiled.

"Yep! Jaken says my big people teeth are growing in," Rin said and then was sad. "He said when Rin has all of her big people teeth that Lord Sesshoumaru will send Rin away."

"That idiot. Jaken knows not what this Sesshoumaru will do," Sesshoumaru growled, very angry to learn that Jaken was saying cruel things to his ward.

"So Rin will get to stay with Lord Sesshoumaru when Rin's big people teeth are all in?" Rin asked, very hopeful.

"Yes," Sesshoumaru replied.

'I'm going to punt that toad over the moon!' he growled to himself as Rin hugged his leg.

"Thank you, Lord Sesshoumaru. Rin is very happy and honored," she grinned as tears of happiness flowed freely from her eyes.

The scent of tears alarmed Sesshoumaru, but it confused him as her face clearly had a grin on it. Kagome remembered that Inu Yasha had been confused when she had cried tears of joy and quickly responded, "Rin is very happy. Sometimes humans, when we are happy and the emotion is great, we cry tears of happiness. I know sometimes it is confusing for demons that are not familiar with human ways, as even InuYasha had been confused about it too."

Sesshoumaru looked down at Rin and leaned down, something a demon lord was rarely found to do, and at eye level said, "This Sesshoumaru is pleased that Rin is happy ,and wishes for Rin to always be happy."

Rin hugged Sesshoumaru, shocking both the great demon and Kagome. Kagome was almost sure that Sesshoumaru would have growled, but he let her hug him, then carefully removed her, saying, "Now is time for your lessons with Kagome."

"Yes! Rin will learn many things and make Lord Sesshoumaru proud," she grinned as Sesshoumaru rose and exited the room.

Now that Rin occupied her time, Kagome's cabin fever vanished, as she happily made out lessons for her. Kagome had taught Shippou how to read and write, so she was certain she could also teach Rin.

Finally, after two weeks, a healer arrived and observed Kagome's ankle, then commended Sesshoumaru for his expert hand at taking care of the sprain. The healer then said that Kagome could venture about, however, she was not to overtax herself.

Kagome was ecstatic, however surprised InuYasha had not visited yet. She still felt a bit guilty for sending him away and also because she was not helping out with the shard hunting. Kagome's decision had forced InuYasha to ask of Kikyo's help, according to Sesshoumaru's cunning ways of obtaining information. That in itself worried her, since InuYasha had said that Kikyo had put a spell on him. She hoped that InuYasha would avoid any alone time, as she was certain Kikyo was stubborn enough to keep pursuing him. She wondered what InuYasha was doing and thinking. She even wondered how her friends were doing. She laughed, just thinking how many times Miroku had probably got beaten upside the head for groping Sango. She worried for Shippou, knowing how he and InuYasha sometimes got on each other's nerves. InuYasha could be a bit rough, but he never hurt Shippou terribly.

Sesshoumaru entered her room, interrupting her thoughts. She looked up and smiled. He had been pleasant and she decided, 'Perhaps it is not so bad here.'

"What can I do for you today, Lord Sesshoumaru?" she said, bowing.

Sesshoumaru was a bit surprised. Kagome had never bowed to him before, and rarely called him by his title. It was kind of unnerving as he was getting use to her ways. He was pleased that she was giving him the proper respect.

"No need to bow, Kagome. You will start training with this Sesshoumaru starting next week," he informed her. "Izumi will be in shortly to take measurements for your fighting uniform."

"Thank you, milord," Kagome replied as he left.

Kagome runs from Inu Yasha thinking he betrayed her. She ends up running into Sesshoumaru thinking her life has literally gone to Hell. Despite her travels to find the shards of the Shikon no Tama, her journey is about to get much more fickle than ever.

"We're what?" Alex couldn't believe her ears. Even Mrs Wilde wasn't ready for it.

"The three of you are going to be studying in Singapore while I manage the Asia office. You will begin your internship at the office next month after school twice a week. Alex, you will be helping out too."

The Wilde princess blanked out.

"Darling! Sorry, kids. Mommy and daddy need to have a little talk. Enjoy the rest of your meal!"

The socialite dragged her husband out of the dining room, leaving behind a speechless party. Scarlet didn't know what to say and Alex didn't know if her father was serious anymore. If Jasper was here, the boy would have calculated how it was possible to run away with the savings he had in secret.

Outside the dining area, Mrs Wilde stormed all the way up to their bedroom. Mr Wilde whined about his poor reddening ear but his wife ignored it all until the door slammed shut behind them. Only when she was out of the children's earshot did she smack her husband hardly on the arm.

"What were you thinking? She's only a child!"

Mr Wilde kept his cool and nursed the throbbing parts. The ear was hot and his arm was going to bruise. His wife may look like a pretty little thing but he knew better. That woman spent hours in the gym with a personal trainer and was a monster with the shape of a sylph. The socialite could crack open walnuts with her bare hands faster than a squirrel could. Anyone who thought that women were weak has clearly never met his wife in person. That was one reason why Wilmer Wilde was mocked as a henpecked husband. His cold personality that the world knew when he was working was a huge contrast with his daughter-complex and wife-obeying personality with his family.

"I'm sorry," Wilmer apologised. "However, you should know that trying to coax her out of her shell will only make things worse. Right now, the best we can do for her is to be by her side and watch her fight her demons alone while supplying her with the weapons she requires. We cannot fight the battles for her but we can assist her in whatever ways we can. It is unfortunate but we can't save her now, the damage has been dealt."

Orita Wilde looked at her husband in anguish. "You don't do this to our daughter, why would you do this to Scarlet?"

Wilmer Wilde's eyes hardened at that. "I would do that for Alex too if required. I will rather cut my daughters' hands and legs off to save their lives than keep them and see them die. Right now, Scarlet's dying. Has anything anyone tried helped her so far?"

Orita Wilde searched her husband's eyes and cried. "What can we do?"

Wilmer held her hands tenderly. "Don't worry, I know you love this girl before you even knew her circumstances. I have faith in your judgement and her ability to overcome this. let's just see if this change of environment can remove some of the nightmares she is facing. I won't love her any less than Alex, she is our precious second daughter after all."

The heiress nodded and accepted her husband's embrace.

Meanwhile, the news of the potential relocation of the mansion has caused a huge reaction among the servants. There were speculations flying all over the place from things like retrenchment to the selected few who will be chosen to serve the young mistresses. When Jasper heard about it the next day, he begged his parents to let him withdraw everything he had in his bank. There was no way he was going to accompany Alex and Scarlet all the way to Singapore, not for something that more responsibilities to his unofficial job.

Scarlet thought over Mr Wilde's proposal. It didn't sound like a bad solution to either of them. In fact, she thought that Mr Wilde was honestly just making a profit out of it by engaging free labour that would become powerful assets in the future. If he could bind Scarlet's loyalty to the company, the CEO would have no worries about handing the company reins over to Alex when she was older. The fact that Mr Wilde didn't even give Alex or Jasper preferential treatment only convinced Scarlet more that the man was being truthful and impartial. Compared to Jenna's tip-toeing around her and Mrs Wilde's constant checking on her to the point of having no privacy, Mr Wilde's business proposal was something Scarlet appreciated better.

As Scarlet helped Claire to pack whatever little belongings she had, the young genius wondered if she would be missed at Keyman International School. the only people she could think would miss them were the Ninjas in the library. the blogger decided to do a little something for them. After all, these were the two people who'd taken good care of Scarlet while she was still studying there.

Claire decided that it would be more efficient to make a list of things Scarlet would need to use in the new house in Singapore when they went through the belongings the young girl had. There was nothing of real importance that couldn't be easily acquired with the wealth the Wilde's had. Anything important was already in Scarlet's hair.

"I believe it would be more efficient to make a list of things we need to buy for the new room in Singapore. I've made a draft, would you like to look through it?"

Scarlet padded over and checked through the list before requesting for the weirdest thing ever. "I want two bookshelves."

"But Miss, there will be a small private library and a study."

Scarlet shook her head. "I want them for the books Jasper recommended to me. It's not suitable for them to be in the private library, this is for my research. In fact, my collection might grow an I don't know if two bookshelves would be enough."

Claire was surprised. Jenna did mention something about Jasper's schemes so she didn't quite expect someone as bright as Scarlet to take the bait so quickly. Still, for her, it was fantastic news.

"Understood, is there anything else missing?"

Scarlet looked through it and made a new list including the things she thought would be nice to have. "I want to be able to hold team meetings with Jasper and Alex too... Some extra chairs that can be placed aside when it isn't required seem like a nice idea. Also, why do I need both a laptop and a desktop?> I think having just a laptop is good enough. For the writing plot can I also ask for a huge wall made from paper or a whiteboard framed somewhere that doesn't obstruct? The creative space setup will be good if everything is put in the same room. I want to be able to see it in my dreams..."

Claire didn't quite understand what Scarlet was talking about but agreed to those she didn't think was unreasonable. The list was finalised in fifteen minutes and the maid excused herself to report to Jenna.

In another room, there was a very different fight going on.

"But why?"

"Because, young mistress... the new penthouse will not have enough space for a supreme king-sized four-poster bed! It will have furniture there already, you'd just have to get used to it."

"But Jenna..." the Wilde princess whined. "I can't sleep without my bed!"

The butler could only sigh as the Wilde princess ranted to her mother about it. On some days, the butler just wished that her young mistress could learn a thing or two from her sister.

At age 10, Scarlet Liu Xiu Wen was tested with a Mensa IQ of 156.

By age 12, she was publishing books with the pen name Permanent Frost. By age 14, she was a successful vocalist-composer in the band called Britannia. By age 16 Scarlet had a successful career as a model and actress going by the stage name of Liu Xiu Wen.

However, there was a secret that the world didn't know. Away from the limelight, Scarlet took on yet another persona online as Pirate S - the eccentric half-genius. Everyone who lurked in the forums knew her name. Known for her unusual takes on life and mostly popularly for her "Human Observation Diary" blog, Scarlet enjoys the nerd life in secret.

Human Observation Diary has always kept to a very standard format but one day, a reader pointed out that the blog has recently been differing from its usual format. Intrigued by the trigger, Scarlet investigates her latest human observation - an online NEET by the name of Jedd77.

From further interactions, Scarlet finds herself helplessly drawn to him. As their friendship develops into something more, Scarlet has to make a choice.

A fiber of connection from miles away...



Our places on this earth are divided by oceans setting us apart from one continent to another. Several countries speaking several languages to understand each other. People with several cultures and beliefs. Different personalities and opinions.

In this chaotic world, we live in called real life we search for a place to escape from that reality. To be accepted as who or what we are. We have found that in the music we sing. In the books, we read. In the movies we watch. In the places, we travel and visit. Everywhere in which we get inspiration to face reality head-on.

We write stories or poems to inspire others, reading the words we weave from our own world. For some of us, it is simply an escape from reality into a world in which we can use our imaginations to dream make-believe or to live our secret fantasies or just plain be creative.

Getting on the web gives us more ways to share and get connected to other people with the same kind of thinking from across the ocean. Some of the people we meet along the way give us reasons to smile again. It's where we become friends, get to know them well, and get so close that we even trust them enough to share our own greatest fears.

I was a living a kind of living death when I found solace here on Stories Space. A place to write, camouflaging my hatred and sadness from myself when I was reading all the poetry and fictional fantasies created by the writers. I found another escape from reality and indulged in reading.

My feelings from my own troubles in life had made me feel so empty that only through laughter and reading could I be free and somewhat whole again.

I made my own heaven in purgatory.

A friend told me to write down all of my pains and troubles in poems or stories. Another friend of mine told me to be fierce in my poetry writing. I found friends who helped me give my own life a reason to continue living again through writing.

Writing makes me calm every time my mind gets into a panic mode. The pains and the fears of the unknown are my muses for writing.

When I met someone who understood me and made me feel needed and loved my poetry changed its tune. It made me think of happy thoughts. I got inspired by the things I saw and the happy memories of my childhood that I could write about.

Painful memories and realities were always there and so I wrote about them from time to time.

When that someone left me I continued writing. The same inner muse I had gained I used to keep on writing.

Then, out of nowhere, I got to know you. I became happy again. This time I got even more inspired and more creative, experimenting with my writings.

I set aside my shyness and reservations to write creatively. I still can't overcome some of my shyness and reservation but I am blooming, inspired by you.

You became my muse.

The man in the moon. The stars in my darkest hours. When at night I can't sleep thinking of you calms me to sleep.

The sunshine after the heavy storm. Where all the dead trees come to life again. That keeps me warm when everything gets chilly.

My own little heaven in my real life purgatory.

"Idol King Jinhyun teases a comeback!" 

"Shin Jinhyun's video is a viral sensation!" 

"The return of the Idol King!" 

The news anchor on the TV was reporting the latest headlines. 

"Idol King, Shin Jinhyun, had recently returned to the country after a two year hiatus," the anchor read. "Last night, he uploaded a video of his impressive guitar skills which quickly gained nationwide attention. In less than an hour, the video gained over a million views and as of today, it exceeded twenty five million views worldwide, proving the Idol's lingering popularity. Is this the comeback of one of the Kings of kpop?"

Yoona turned off the TV. A smile of satisfaction played on her lips. 

"What are you smiling about this early in the morning?" 

Her father, Sung Gojin, descended downstairs. He was curious why his daughter was in such a happy mood. 

"Good morning, daddy!" she exclaimed as she stood up to hug her father. "I am very happy today." 

"Why is my princess so happy?" he laughed as he hugged her back. Together, they walked towards the dining table. 

"Jinhyun oppa went viral last night!" she exclaimed. 

The mention of Jinhyun soured Gojin's mood. 

"You're still hung up on that brat?" he asked, feeling annoyed. He was still angry that Jinhyun had rejected his offer to join CNQ Media. The rejection stung his ego. 

Yoona read his anger. "Calm down dad," she assured him. "He wasn't wrong to demand for complete creative freedom! Why would you reduce his comebacks anyway?" 

"Older idols are not profitable," Gojin grumbled. "And I gave him a good deal! He could have written his own songs and also become a Director at the company!" 

"Jinhyun oppa isn't like that," Yoona said, taking a bite out of her toast. "He's fiercely independent. It's what I love about him." 

Gojin stared at his daughter in dismay. She had been in love with this boy ever since she was sixteen. At first he dismissed it as a typical fangirl attraction. But Yoona's case was different. 

She had collected each and every souvenir related to Jinhyun. From his music CD's, posters, collectibles to recording all his interviews, Yoona had it all. She even paid some of his sponsors to send her the clothes he wore on stage. Her love for Jinhyun had no limit. 

As her father, he tried to recruit Jinhyun to his agency but his refusal only fueled Yoona's obsession. 

"He is too stubborn, my dear," Gojin stated in a soothing tone. Yoona gave him a strange look while a smile lingered on her face. 

"And how does that matter, dad?" she asked sweetly. "We'll end up together somehow. I just know it." 

Gojin sighed. There was no point in making her see reason. When it came to Jinhyun, she would not listen to any logic. 

Yoona finished her breakfast and headed upstairs to her room. As the daughter of the biggest media mogul of Korea, she grew up in luxury. 

Her mansion was situated in the posh, upper scale area of Seoul, overlooking the entire city. She never lacked anything in life. All she had to do was ask. There was no dearth of things in her life. She was educated abroad by her parents and was surrounded by high class socialites. Yet, she kept a polite and calm demeanor, never raising a voice against anyone beneath her status. 

When she entered her room, a maid was cleaning her desk. 

"Have you eaten your breakfast?" Yoona asked her. The maid stood up and bowed before replying, "Yes madam." 

Yoona smiled at her and went off towards the bathroom to take a shower. 

The maid was dusting the walls when the duster got caught with a poster and slightly tore it.

"Oh no!" the maid moaned. She quickly grabbed a tape and put it on the poster. Yoona had stepped out of the bathroom when she saw the maid taping her poster of Jinhyun's. 

"I'm sorry, madam," the maid apologized. "It only tore a bit so I fixed it with tape." 

Yoona gave her a curious smile. "It's alright," she reassured. "No harm done." 

The maid bowed and exited the room. Yoona kept on staring at the taped spot. She sat on her bed, intently staring at that spot for hours. 

…. 

That night, the maid took her leave for the day from the head butler. She was a poor university student who only worked part time for the Sung family. It was hard but they paid her well and she was able to cover her tuition fees with her salary. 

She walked through the narrow streets. Her house was a student unit situated at the poorer segment of Seoul. It was right behind the large open market on the northern side of the city and she had to climb several stairs to get to her unit. 

The maid put on her headphones and was humming to the song. She was climbing the stairs to her street when a large shadow blocked her way. Startled, she looked up to see a strange, bald man looking down at her with emotionless eyes. 

"Can I help-" she began. But her words were cut. 

The man shoved her backwards. Losing her balance, the maid stumbled and fell with a scream. She rolled down the long stairs, hitting her head hard. 

Blood oozed out of her skull as she lay there. Her voice came out in croaks. She was unable to move as the pain in her head tortured her mercilessly. 

The bald man stepped in front of her. He scooped down, placing a finger on her wound and pressed it hard. 

The maid screamed in agony as the pain intensified. He pressed so hard, that another bone on her skull cracked. 

"W-why…" she managed to whisper. 

"My client told me to send you a message," the man stated in a monotone. "It was for the tape."

The maid could not fathom what he said. She did not need to. For in the next second, a heavy blow to the head silenced her forever. 

…. 

The next morning, Sung Gojin entered Yoona's room. She was reading a magazine when she saw her father enter. 

"I'll be going out of town for some work, sweetie," he said. "I'll be out for a few days. Can I get you something?" 

Yonna smiled and shook her head. "I have everything, I need," she said, giving him a hug. 

"Alright, dear," he laughed and turned around when he paused. There was an empty space on Yoona's wall. Her entire wall was decorated with Jinhyun's posters. There was not a single space left there because she plastered it all only with his pictures. Even the ceiling had his posters. Gojin never stopped her and let her do whatever she wanted. 

But the one empty space on her wall piqued his interest. 

"Where is the poster which was here?" he frowned. 

"A maid touched it so I threw it away," Yoona stated in a nonchalant tone. Gojin stared at her in surprise. She looked normal, as if nothing big had happened. 

"I'll put another poster on it today," she said. "You should go now or you'll be late for your flight." 

Gojin, still frowning, turned on his heels to leave. He closed the door behind him. 

Will she be alright? He wondered. This thought haunted him for the rest of the day. 

"The fates will curse you to a life of hell."

She stared those loathsome eyes. Her very being screamed from inside. Her hate knew no bounds. And yet...and yet...why was he looking at her like that? Why did he not hate her? Why was there sadness in his eyes? Why?

"I'd rather take a million years in hell!" she spat out. "Yes...I did it. I killed your most precious person."

She flashed a manic smile. "You'll suffer for the rest of your life...Emperor. And nothing makes me happier..."

Her mad laughter echoed throughout the palace, etching a bone chilling fear into the hearts of everyone who was present that day.

The evil Empress had fallen.

The scenery in C City was very beautiful. The mountains were green and the water was beautiful. After checking / In with her team, Xi Wan strolled around the area.
She bought some small things and ate some snacks. He Min was getting more and more nervous. She was the first one to eat fried food, but now she was constantly asking, "how many calories does this have? " "How much exercise does that have to do to digest? " "This will cause cancer. " "that will make you fat. " Xi Wan felt guilty for not having a bite of fried chicken steak. Thinking about it, sister a's first lesson for her would-be manager was to control her artiste's appetite.
The next day, the sky was clear.
The promotion for "the Tang Dynasty" was still at Wanda Square in C city. Xi Wan and the others were putting on makeup backstage. They could vaguely hear the hustle and bustle. Obviously, their fans were already waiting outside the stage.
The sound of the staff auditioning outside was also clear and audible. From time to time, two theme songs for "the Tang Dynasty" would be played, waiting for the promotional time to come.
In summer, no matter where in China, the sun was scorching hot. Not long after Xi Wan put on her makeup, her sweat was dripping down. Fortunately, today's makeup was waterproof, so even if she was sweating, there was no makeup on.
At nine o'clock in the morning, the host went on stage. After that, he was full of witty remarks, which made the entire atmosphere of the event high.
