Emica Kana is 18 years old. She has always loved writing stories., They were her escape from reality. She always wished that a man would come and save her like they always do in the stories.
Well, she got her wish.
Emica entered a small writing school that was near a river. Her friend had joined her. But, the teacher had an odd vibe around him. Emica became a little scared of him. She especially became scared when the teacher started to pay more attention to her. One day, when she runs from him, she falls into a world of adventure, risk, and abnormalities. 
But, her teacher is what scares her more than this new world. What secrets and schemes did he use to get her here?

It was 2:47AM in North Carolina, and everyone(normal) is asleep... except for this guy.

'DAMMIT, people keep stealing my basilisk!' 

That guy is Connor, who is currently playing Tera on his ps4. Connor is 13, he has brown hair, brown eyes, and is wearing a white shirt as well as green cargo pants. He only does a few things, like gaming, reading, and... and... I think that's it.

'*Sigh,* I'll just get off and type it down for now...'

Oh wait, yeah, he also uses his friends' Skype group chat as a diary. He used to think he was actually talking with someone, but after they basically never responded, he realized it was really just his diary. (No one ever responds... *sob sob.*)

Connor starts drumming his fingers to a song in his head.

"Beautiful review there."

He messes up.

"Masterful, masterful review."

He messes up again.

"Absolutely beautiful."

He messes up agai—

'DAMMIT'

He turns off the podcast and goes into iTunes, putting on I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME's "1981 Extended Play" EP. (It'll be known as "IDKHBTFM" if I ever bring it up again.)

"Stop, drop,
and drag me into place"

He starts drumming his fingers to the song.

"And lock the fire escapes
I'll break your pretty face
(Yeah, Yeah)

Oh, you clever little things
The psychopathic teens
What a precious basket case
(Yeah, Yeah)"

'Ahhh, good... Now, let's check to see if any of my tabbed fanfics have updated...'

He goes into safari and looks at his tabs. 

'Hmmm, My Turn hasn't updated since September 27th... too bad.'

'White Sheep hasn't updated either...'

He keeps checking and finds that—

'Huh, nothing updated yet... I've found basically every RWBY fanfic I'd be interested in, so can't just find another... same with Naruto...'

'I'll just play battle cats for now...'

He opens up battle cats(which has sounds and music turned off,) and sees—

'Yep, I got full energy... Haven't gotten any treasures for Denmark or France yet, so I'll use it on those.'

Connor uses Phantom Thief Cat, Mythical Titan Cat, Nurse Cat and Glorious Amaterasu in his current set. And, luckily for me, in the time it took me to type this, he's done. (10/10 transition, me, I really did good this time...regrets are stacking up.)

'Let's level up Nurse Cat once and... done. Ahhhhh, bored now.'

"What to do now," he mutters.

'No one is awake and, last time I tried this nothing went wrong so... surely, nothing will go wrong this time, right...?'

He gets up from his bed, puts on shoes, and goes outside. 

'Aight, lets do this.'

He walks straight forward and... goes into the street...(I'd obviously never do this, but I wanted a special someone to make an entrance.)

Ok, even I, the author didn't really expect that. I wonder what he's doi—

"Truck-kun, come to me!"

—ng... ok there's no way that'll work. He looks to his left and right and... seriously?

And he sees a truck. (Our special guest, ladies and gentlemen!)

"Really, a white space? Cliché..." He mutters.

"Hello there, you'll be reincarnated into remnant. You have gamer skills. Goodbye."

"Wait what are you? Where are yo— I'm just not gonna ask... ok so, is that it?"

"Indeed. You already have the knowledge of reincarnation, gamer powers, and some knowledge of RWBY. You'll do fine."

"Well, if you say so..."

A brown wooden door opens up behind Connor and pulls him in.

"Oh, I don't think I've seen a door used as a reincarnation method before..." Just as he says that, the door finally pulls him in and closes.

Somewhere in Vale, a door suddenly appears in an alleyway and someone walks out.

"Hm, glad I didn't get thrown into a forest or something." 

This is, of course, Connor.

"That would've sucked.... Now, what to do?"

PET PEEVE WARNING: The protagonist may or may not be throwing out a Kamehameha. There will never be actual characters from DBZ or other anime(almost did, but it wasn’t my thing so I didn’t go through with it), but skills are another matter. The fanfic will strictly take place in the RWBY universe, though there will be new characters that I added in—ok I think you already understood and I’m clarifying too much. So, to the actual synopsis.

Connor, 13 years of age, died at the hands of a random white truck. Which is surprising, considering that he was yelling at the top of his lungs before getting hit. AC/DC would be jealous if they knew who this random kid was.

Anyway, he gets reincarnated into the world of Remnant by some random gods as a Faunus. Vague description of his appearance, I know.

Remnant’s humans have been losing against the creatures of Grimm for centuries. And, with the power of a system, similar(keyword: SIMILAR)to that of the one found in the webcomic “The Gamer,” some guns, and some other weapons that also act as guns, he shall fight against the Grimm.

This synopsis sounds so lame...because it is? I don’t know, I’m just the narrator.

Also, the starting chapters to this really kinda suck from what I remember. Yes, from what I remember. I have bad memory. But, they get better...eventually. That’s not saying they aren’t bad, but they’re at least better.

No romance for the main character, by the way.

Also, the update schedule is a bit iffy...you could definitely say I don’t have a schedule and be 100% correct, because I don’t. So if you don’t like uncertain update schedules, don’t read this fanfic. Because it has those.

Fuck. It's just that tonight, I just felt that my high school life in my science school is really ending in just 3 months. I'm happy but sad at the same time, because I won't get to see the usual people that helped me through my darkest times. 

I just studied in that school for only 2 years, and I didn't get to be close to the other people who I find to be interesting. Fuck. Why do I suck at socializing? Why do I freeze when I speak to people? I can't do this anymore. It's my ego that's destroying my life. 

Throughout my 18 years of existence, I always had my ego to be pessimistic, leading me to play safe in all things. To beat my fucking ego is my goal to upcoming decade. This pessimistic whore is always trying to make me think negative things all throughout my course of life. My ego always gave me fucking insecurities which I don't deserve. 

I hate my life. As far as I'm typing this chapter, I began to realize how introvert I have been in front of the students of my school. I didn't even show my funny and confident side. I can't even approach them and ask questions that have been stuck in my head. Shit, shit, shit. What a mess I've done this 2019.

It's hard to leave a solid impression in front of many people in my last year, because there's only 3 months left. I didn't even had time to myself to confess to my crushes. I didn't even manage to spoke to some of my crushes through my 2 years time frame in this school. Fuck. Why are these running in my head all over again? Why am I procrastinating my brain cells in this last day of 2019? What have I done in this decade.

Shit, hopefully this book will have its deserved recognition in the future. This book is the only optimistic thing that my ego has done for me. Not to brag, but I sometimes look up to myself when I became popular in the future. I always imagine what I look like in front of many magazines like Time, Forbes, etc. I wonder how it feels like to be interviewed by various talk show personalities like Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, and James Corden. I wonder how does it feel to be in the podcast of Joe Rogan talking inspirational shit about my success, or maybe, I'll be in Ted Talks. Ahhhh, why is it so cool to be famous and highly honored person.

I'm a big dreamer and I always think to myself on ways of achieving success. I really have to work hard into it. Everytime I check out YouTube, I always find it curious on how YouTubers became famous and popular. I often watch their old videos and see how they sparked into success. I saw one YouTuber that has only one popular video, but it led into a domino of success.

Everyday, I always say to myself to never give up and pursue my passion. Writing this book is an example. Even though I'm sleepy as fuck now, I still force myself to pursue and finish this chapter with a good last paragraph. To be honest, my last chapter was terrible. That "just kidding" thing is just a random thing that pops out in my brain.  

I can't believe we are a few hours away from 2020. To be honest, I see this decade as a year of growing as a full human. Of course, for a 17 year old boy like me, this kind of growing comes in physically also, but the mental and emotional part really hit me hard. Man, I'm so glad I got to undergo on the additional 2 years in my Filipino curriculum (K-12), because it lead me to meet people that thought me great life lessons. I even acknowledge the people who I made a little conflict with, because they're the real ones that slap me to reality. They taught me how to be a human without hurting other people's feelings. 

Man, I lowkey love this world. This makes me truly believe that there's a Creator in this universe that controls our way of things in life. It's perfect. Sometimes I get downs, but sooner, I came to realize that "Wow, thank you Lord for giving me this shit. It created a character development within myself."

As 2020 fast approaches to our door, I just want to acknowledge all the things that happen this 2019. Man, it's been a tough year for me, especially to the person I talked about last chapter. Let's just call her Jennifer (not her real name). Jennifer gave me joy that was missing in these past few years of my existence, but she also gave me despair that I never felt in my junior high school life. In fact, she became one of the reasons that inspires me to write this book. She's the woman that made me realize to pursue my passion more. Sadly, she's also the one that broke my heart. 

Nevermind, let's move on. I don't wanna talk shit about her, because I don't want to make her look "antagonizing" in this book, because that's not what she used to be. Maybe, we only had a few misunderstandings that even I didn't manage to realize it. Past is past, and we should not linger to it. I'll just open up about her soon if I'm in the mood of writing into it. Right now, I just wanna enjoy my last 2019 with my 2% phone together with my chill bed. 

I'm glad that this decade will end smoothly. Thank you for giving me friends that I didn't expect to be a big blessing for me. Thank you for the pain and mistakes that happened to me, hopefully it won't happen to me in the next decade. I never expected to have this rollercoaster decade (right now, I mean it literally).

Our places on this earth are divided by oceans setting us apart from one continent to another. Several countries speaking several languages to understand each other. People with several cultures and beliefs. Different personalities and opinions.

In this chaotic world, we live in called real life we search for a place to escape from that reality. To be accepted as who or what we are. We have found that in the music we sing. In the books, we read. In the movies we watch. In the places, we travel and visit. Everywhere in which we get inspiration to face reality head-on.

We write stories or poems to inspire others, reading the words we weave from our own world. For some of us, it is simply an escape from reality into a world in which we can use our imaginations to dream make-believe or to live our secret fantasies or just plain be creative.

Getting on the web gives us more ways to share and get connected to other people with the same kind of thinking from across the ocean. Some of the people we meet along the way give us reasons to smile again. It's where we become friends, get to know them well, and get so close that we even trust them enough to share our own greatest fears.

I was a living a kind of living death when I found solace here on Stories Space. A place to write, camouflaging my hatred and sadness from myself when I was reading all the poetry and fictional fantasies created by the writers. I found another escape from reality and indulged in reading.

My feelings from my own troubles in life had made me feel so empty that only through laughter and reading could I be free and somewhat whole again.

I made my own heaven in purgatory.

A friend told me to write down all of my pains and troubles in poems or stories. Another friend of mine told me to be fierce in my poetry writing. I found friends who helped me give my own life a reason to continue living again through writing.

Writing makes me calm every time my mind gets into a panic mode. The pains and the fears of the unknown are my muses for writing.

When I met someone who understood me and made me feel needed and loved my poetry changed its tune. It made me think of happy thoughts. I got inspired by the things I saw and the happy memories of my childhood that I could write about.

Painful memories and realities were always there and so I wrote about them from time to time.

When that someone left me I continued writing. The same inner muse I had gained I used to keep on writing.

Then, out of nowhere, I got to know you. I became happy again. This time I got even more inspired and more creative, experimenting with my writings.

I set aside my shyness and reservations to write creatively. I still can't overcome some of my shyness and reservation but I am blooming, inspired by you.

You became my muse.

The man in the moon. The stars in my darkest hours. When at night I can't sleep thinking of you calms me to sleep.

The sunshine after the heavy storm. Where all the dead trees come to life again. That keeps me warm when everything gets chilly.

My own little heaven in my real life purgatory.

The Philippines has a strong culture surrounding the occult. Lots of folklore and legend around, still being told today. We are a devout country, but it doesn't mean we don't acknowledge the darker aspects of belief. Heck, we even have our version of witch doctors.

My father's side of the family has been gifted with a sixth sense, usually sight.

It grows weaker as we age, but mine didn't. Sure, it isn't as strong as it was before, but I still see them fully and sometimes hear some things not meant to be heard.



When I was a child, we lived in a mountain province in the Luzon region. It was called Baguio, and it is famous for its haunted locations and apparitions. It's also a touristy area, but we locals discourage driving too much at night as it is a mountain region, it has cliffs and rocky paths. Loads of road accidents and landslides occurred during the rainy season, and fog is a common occurrence when it's cold.



Sounds horrific, right? Nah, it was a scenic province with a bustling city and a beautiful view. If you googled Baguio, the Philippines, a lively city with an even livelier community would greet you.



Just be cautious visiting the roads at night, and steer clear of the Diplomat Hotel and the Teacher's Camp.



When I was six, we lived in a house on a hill. Flowers and trees were surrounding the old little house, and I had lots of places to play in. Looking back, that house was so blatantly creepy, with its secluded nature and the age of the house, but hindsight is 20/20 and I used to think it was perfect.



One night, my mother was in the living room, ironing my father's uniform while he was asleep in the bedroom. I was in my playroom, and my mom called me for whatever reason. As I was walking into a room, I noticed a red mark on the window. It was a face, no eyes or teeth, just a red face.

I cried. "Mommy! May Mukha sa banana, oh!" ("Mommy, there's a mask on the window!) and she turned and said, "Saan?!" ("Where?!"). I kept pointing "There! There!" but she didn't see it.

I ran out of the room and snuggled up against my dad. My parents bring it up to this day, since they were so disturbed, we moved houses a few months afterward.



The second story is shorter, but it still affects me to this day.



My grandparents live in the province, and I stay there every summer. I used to sleep beside them when I was younger, and I soon can't sleep alone at all after the incident that occurred during my stay at the province.



It was nighttime, and I was asleep beside them. I was sleeping soundly with a pillow over my head until something tried to grab the pillow from me.

I immediately held onto it tightly, and the thing screamed. It screamed so loudly, I had to let go of the damn pillow and covered my ears tightly. I didn't open my eyes.

I fell asleep covering my ears, and to this day I sleep with my ears covered, and my face covered with a pillow. Everyone in my family asks why I do that, but I know no one will believe me.



This last story is tamer, thank God.



I left Baguio back in 2015 and moved into the aforementioned province my grandparents lived in.

My parents were working full-time in the nation's capital, Manila, so I needed to stay with them so I could get taken care of.

I was okay with all of this since they moved houses years ago. I thought that my experiences would stop.

Turns out, the house they bought is haunted since the old owner died inside it.



Fuck my life, right?!



I used to sleep in the old owner's bedroom, but after consistently waking up at 3 in the morning, I moved my ass into my grandparent's room. It was spacious and they didn't mind. They also didn't like the fact that my sleeping quarters were where someone died.



So, I was dicking around on my phone at midnight, when I heard a young girl cry. I thought it was my cousin crying for my aunt, but quickly remembered they left that afternoon.

I (stupidly) looked up from my bed and searched for the source of the cries. After realizing there was no one around to make those sobs, plus the fact that I was the only one awake, I got my ass to bed and slept.

I now sleep with a podcast, bundled into a blanket and eyes shut tighter than clamshell packaging. I have more stories, especially since in 2017-2018 I got into rituals. I did them all wrong.

Short scary stories found in subreddit nosleep.

"It's said that Thousands of years ago there had been a great war between the humans and an unknown species," said the Scientist who had bags under his eyes which literally meant he didn't sleep for the last few days

And as a reply, the Podcaster asked:" What kind of evidence do you have for you to say all of this in front of thousands of people who are trying to watch Nationwide podcast?"

"I do have evidence," was the only thing that came out of the crazy looking guy who was sipping some of his coffee to not faint

"I wonder can you show it to us," Said the podcaster with a bit of an intrigued face and continued his sentence with "Cause coming here without real evidence would be literally killing your own self-esteem with your own hands" and started to laugh with a cheesy laugh effect.

"As a Matter of Fact I already killed my own self-esteem by coming to your lame podcast but it was my only choice," said the scientist with a smug face and after a while, he opened his suitcase and showed a broken tablet which was eons old and showed another broken tablet which was a bit more preserved than the last one but still looked old and dusty.

"After that diss, I wouldn't be expecting to recover so easily but after seeing how you brought some broken stone tablets to my podcast I couldn't hold myself" laughed the podcaster with a different laugh effect this time

"Okay then, if you are finished showing of your nice stone collection you can leave my show right this moment," said the podcaster

"If you are finished with your lame comebacks I will continue with a question, Do you believe in myths or urban legends? or to be more precise, do you believe in the Undead, Ghosts, or Yokai's?
what if I say they are real would you believe me?" said the Scientist who was being roasted and defended at the same time at the chat of the podcast.

"Who would believe an irrational and a mad guy like you, I wouldn't. And to add more, I would say believing in the paranormal is just too childish, I do have a question too, would anyone believe in a self-proclaimed scientist like him?" said the Podcaster with a huge grin on his face.

After that, mildly irritated scientist threw both of his tablets to the podcaster and in the process breaking the tablets even more and a bit of Podcaster dental health and nose.

Suddenly mix of blood and the broken tablets infused and became a full tablet which read {This sealeth of thousand brethren we hath lost in the most wondrous war can only beest broken by the biggest scum of all} and broke in an instant with the surprised glance of the podcaster

suddenly the ground started to shake and with the sudden color change of the skies a lot of people around the world thought it was the rapture

Suddenly out of nowhere, weird-looking monsters, humanoid looking creatures, and Demonic beings came and both humans and the undead were a bit surprised because both species thought the others were all just a myth and that was exactly 25 years ago and interestingly humans evolved in time to not be inferior to those undead.

Today is my 16th birthday and weirdly I never knew my parents and my only friend is a self-proclaimed female spirit who is a total "S" land if you didn't get it "a sadist" and that's why nobody listens to me because I need to explain all of this to the readers who don't understand them and get bored easily from the beginning.

I hate my life for some common problems that occurred in my life. First of all, as I said humans did evolve in these 25 years and gained some cool abilities called Specialties and the funny thing is I'm one of those mutations who can't wield an ability or that's what the doctor at the orphanage told me and because of being powerless I didn't belong anywhere, neither to humans nor to the Undead. 

My second problem is my so-called friend (Wendy) she says she is a spirit but I think she is a lure which makes others fall for them then eat their souls, to give more information about this at the recognition day which occurred 25 years ago some undead agreed on making an alliance with humans and some didn't agree upon it. There are good undead and Malicious kind.

While spirits count as a Good undead we can't say the same thing for the Lures, Lures are shapeshifting undead which attacks at the first sight of showing weakness and that's why I call Wendy a Self-proclaimed spirit but this is not the only problem with her, she is annoying too, she hurts me for her own benefit and she even ate the last pizza I reserved for myself.

And that's why I hate my life.

Humans and undead co-existed for a long time but after a great war that changed and the undead were locked inside a parallel world. In the modern era, all of the knowledge about the undead is lost and a lot of human folks are saying they’re just myths and urban legends while the same thing goes for the Undead too.

But all of these changes after a phenomenon that causes both worlds to collapse into one another, as a result now both species are living together peacefully while making plans from the back of each other.

I am sitting the game system, in discord...  I just need suggestions cuz my brain is closed... PLZ HELP!  
I finished writing the basics of the EXP system, and now stuck in the elemental system (almost done, but need some creative ideas!)
