THE SITUATION RIGHT NOW: I've gotten over the majority of my laziness. I'm unlikely to update this much. It's pretty much complete. The novel I'm working on is Dark Seas Leading Demise

Yu Yuan stared at Ling Ran, and she looked so anxious it was as if her face was about to explode. 
Academic discussions were naturally proposed by the officials, but if someone put forth contradicting academic opinions in the same academic conference, it would arouse confrontations.
This was unlike conferences for natural science or internists. Surgeons had always been bold and passionate. In other words, their academic confrontations were often extremely intense, and the hostility would often leave a huge impact.
In her haste, Yu Yuan could only use her best skill as a weapon and made a promise. "Doctor Ling, why don't we go back and write an article to voice your opinions? You can make an outline so that you can get your points across when you speak, and it is also more acceptable. I'll do the actual writing and make sure it'll be a good one."
Ling Ran looked at Yu Yuan in surprise. "Have you always been writing the articles casually? No wonder…"
Yu Yuan's jaws dropped. "No wonder what?"
"You've been writing quite slow lately. You used to be able to write an article in two or three months, but nowadays, you only write one after a few months." Ling Ran recalled.

Yu Yuan was worried and became serious. "B-But… Doctor Zuo, engaging in academic confrontation is not that simple. If you put forth a refutation, the other party can also refute your points. This kind of thing may last for many years, but in the end, we will need evidence-based work to back up our arguments, and we will need a lot of money for that. We will suffer a lot if the opponent gets a hold of our weakness as well."
"I believe in Doctor Ling." The place where Ling Ran's second surgery was located was already crowded.
The medical staff from different hospitals, staff from different pharmaceutical sales companies, hotel service staff, as well as the guests, occupied the room so much that it was as crowded as a tourist bus, even though the staff had originally estimated that half or one-third of the room would be empty. 
Several cameras faced the stage from afar, all of which broadcasted Ling Ran's speech as the main event. 
In addition to the live-streaming platform from Yunli Medical Company, two more pharmaceutical companies joined the market. They wanted to establish a live broadcast system between hospitals and medical schools. The scope was not very large, but they lacked a lot of selling points. 
Ling Ran looked at the manuscript in his hands, turned on the microphone, picked it up, and said, "I'd like to talk about some problems regarding hepatectomy today."
There was no need for speeches in academic conferences like Duco to be too formal.
In fact, there was never a lot of formatted things in clinicians' speeches. When it came to surgeries, those speeches would usually be boring.

Several bosses of Changxi Province were speechless when they heard the number of hepatectomy cases Ling Ran performed.

A fiber of connection from miles away...



Our places on this earth are divided by oceans setting us apart from one continent to another. Several countries speaking several languages to understand each other. People with several cultures and beliefs. Different personalities and opinions.

In this chaotic world, we live in called real life we search for a place to escape from that reality. To be accepted as who or what we are. We have found that in the music we sing. In the books, we read. In the movies we watch. In the places, we travel and visit. Everywhere in which we get inspiration to face reality head-on.

We write stories or poems to inspire others, reading the words we weave from our own world. For some of us, it is simply an escape from reality into a world in which we can use our imaginations to dream make-believe or to live our secret fantasies or just plain be creative.

Getting on the web gives us more ways to share and get connected to other people with the same kind of thinking from across the ocean. Some of the people we meet along the way give us reasons to smile again. It's where we become friends, get to know them well, and get so close that we even trust them enough to share our own greatest fears.

I was a living a kind of living death when I found solace here on Stories Space. A place to write, camouflaging my hatred and sadness from myself when I was reading all the poetry and fictional fantasies created by the writers. I found another escape from reality and indulged in reading.

My feelings from my own troubles in life had made me feel so empty that only through laughter and reading could I be free and somewhat whole again.

I made my own heaven in purgatory.

A friend told me to write down all of my pains and troubles in poems or stories. Another friend of mine told me to be fierce in my poetry writing. I found friends who helped me give my own life a reason to continue living again through writing.

Writing makes me calm every time my mind gets into a panic mode. The pains and the fears of the unknown are my muses for writing.

When I met someone who understood me and made me feel needed and loved my poetry changed its tune. It made me think of happy thoughts. I got inspired by the things I saw and the happy memories of my childhood that I could write about.

Painful memories and realities were always there and so I wrote about them from time to time.

When that someone left me I continued writing. The same inner muse I had gained I used to keep on writing.

Then, out of nowhere, I got to know you. I became happy again. This time I got even more inspired and more creative, experimenting with my writings.

I set aside my shyness and reservations to write creatively. I still can't overcome some of my shyness and reservation but I am blooming, inspired by you.

You became my muse.

The man in the moon. The stars in my darkest hours. When at night I can't sleep thinking of you calms me to sleep.

The sunshine after the heavy storm. Where all the dead trees come to life again. That keeps me warm when everything gets chilly.

My own little heaven in my real life purgatory.

Now that Lin Fan knew about the conference, he had to prepare his clothing and at least dress a little more formally as a sign of respect for others. Although he wasn't very willing to go, he had already agreed to it.
At the Education Conference Centre.
Zhao Ming Qing had been waiting since much earlier. When he saw his teacher, he immediately went forward with a wide smile on his face and said, "Teacher, you're here."
"Ming Qing, I really don't like to join such conferences." Why would a low-key person like him want to join any conferences? He didn't want to show his face in public and he didn't even think there was any point in holding a conference when things were already settled.
Zhao Ming Qing pulled on his teacher's arm and said with a beaming smile, "Teacher, you're already here so you should just join. This is a custom. Moreover, after the audit of the Chinese Medicine foundational teaching materials, many professors who write teaching materials want to see you, Teacher."
Lin Fan shook his head, "Fine, fine. Let's go in then."
When they reached the entrance, Zhao Ming Qing saw someone he knew, so he greeted, "Professor Wang."
Professor Wang looked at Zhao Ming Qing, then a Lin Fan, who was at the side. He instantly smiled and said, "This must be Master Lin."
Lin fan smiled thinly, "Nice to meet you."

However, what he didn't know was that these people had already agreed beforehand that they must be very friendly and courteous to Master Lin if they see him. After all, they want to sign their names on his teaching materials. If they act all high and mighty, unless he was an idiot, he would never agree to have their names signed on the teaching materials.

The teaching materials in the North would be signed by the people in the North sector while the teaching materials in the South would be signed by those in the South sector. All these years, everyone has minded their own business and not interfered with each other.
But this time, they were going to work hand in hand. These teaching materials written by Master Lin were exceptional. They had to be issued in the entire country's various Chinese Medical Academies. It was a significant matter. Hence, the North and South sectors had agreed that each sector would nominate five people to have their names added to the teaching materials.
Although some people were envious, it couldn't be helped since their statuses weren't high enough. They couldn't match up to the older generations.
"Master Lin is here…" At this moment, Professor Wang entered.
Everyone's gazes fell upon Lin Fan.
For some people, this was the first time they had seen Lin Fan and they were a little astonished. He was indeed very young. They couldn't help but grin slyly. It's good that he's young, young people are easy to take advantage of.
Then, a group of people came gathering around him.

Zhao Ming Qing leaned towards Lin Fan's ear and said, "Teacher, these are all professors who specialize in writing teaching materials. The one who just greeted you and asked for a group photo is Professor Chen, who wrote 'The Study of the Human Vascular System'. He's considered to be great at theories."
Lin Fan looked at Zhao Ming Qing curiously, "What's strange about them?"
Zhao Ming Qing saw that there was no one around so he didn't try to hide anything. "I haven't interacted with them very much but according to my knowledge, they are very anti-outsider. For example, the teaching materials written by you should have been a thorn in their sides but the situation today has made me slightly surprised. I keep feeling as if something is wrong. I'm afraid that something bad might happen."
Lin Fan said in a surprised tone, "That can't be, can it? What could happen? Forget it, let's not think about it. The conference is starting soon. We'll just stay low-key and leave once it ends."
"Mmm." Zhao Ming Qing nodded. He was still worrying in his heart. This really didn't make sense. Although his teacher's medical abilities were amazing, the people would not care about these. After all, no matter how great someone's abilities were, if he did not have enough connections, he could still be smothered and pushed aside by a crowd.

"Professor Yang is here."
Lin Fan looked over. The initially empty stage now had six people seated on it.
Zhao Ming Qing pointed and said, "That is the leader of the Education Department and that is Professor Yang who's considered the bellwether of the teaching material-writing industry. He has written numerous teaching materials and he has many followers. However, I heard that he is a smiling tiger. He has a peaceful appearance but on the inside, he is very sinister…"
"Is that so?" Lin Fan had never been to such a conference and he didn't really understand the situation. The people in here were all at least a generation older than him, so it didn't feel quite right. He didn't want to interact too much.
"These are all just rumors but most students don't know them. Those senior professors who write teaching materials are basically all busy with attending various conferences so I haven't come into contact with them much," said Zhao Ming Qing.
"Ahem!" At that moment, the leader coughed gently and the whole place turned silent. Then, he swept the place with his eyes and finally stopped when his eyes met Lin Fan. He smiled thinly as a form of greeting.
Lin Fan took out his phone and put on his earphones. He swept through his Weibo boringly. This kind of conference just involved every one boasting a little, talking about their hopes for the future and making some small talk. It was basically useless.
The people on the stage started talking. As for what they talked about, Lin Fan didn't listen so he didn't know.
Time passed very quickly.
The leader's speech ended and he left the place for the moment, perhaps because he knew what was going to happen, so he left to avoid the awkwardness.
He wasn't a person from this industry, so he left it to these industry people to handle it.
Half an hour passed.
Lin Fan was about to doze off.
Suddenly, Lin Fan was woken up by Zhao Ming Qing. He just saw Zhao Ming Qing stand up and, with his face bright red, he said furiously, "I object! How could you all do that? You're stealing the crystals of my teacher's wisdom, the fruits of his labor! You're all senior professors, how could you do that?"
"Ming Qing, what are you doing?" Lin Fan took out his earphones and asked with a puzzled look on his face. He had no idea why Ming Qing was so agitated.
Professor Yang said, "Director Zhao, please sit down. This is a conference. If there are any issues, you can wait till the conference has ended before we slowly talk it out. Moreover, your teacher didn't even say anything so why would you have any opinions?"
They had just talked about the signing of names on the new teaching materials. They had added the names of ten professors onto the credit page. Initially, they were afraid that Master Lin wouldn't agree but when they saw Master Lin just bury his head there motionlessly, they all laughed in their hearts. It seemed that he had agreed with it.
Zhao Ming Qing ignored that Professor Yang and said to Lin Fan, "Teacher, they're being absurd. They want to add ten names to the credit page of your teaching materials."
Lin Fan was startled, "You mean that they want to add their names to the teaching materials written by me?"
Zhao Ming Qing nodded furiously, "Yes, that's exactly what they're trying to do."
Everyone else kept silent as they just fixed their gazes on Lin Fan as if waiting for something to happen.
Professor Yang coughed gently, then said, "Master Lin, this is what we've decided after deep consideration. Teaching materials are very important. If they are only credited to one person and the outside world finds out, it'll become a joke. They'll say that our countrymen are incapable and our teaching materials can only be written by one person. Moreover, we are protecting you too. You are young but you can already write such teaching materials. If it is found out by people with bad intentions, it might turn out to be very troublesome."
"Also, in your teaching materials, we've discovered some problems and we've already corrected them all. Hence, we wish that you would agree to this. Of course, your name will still be first and you will still be the top writer of these teaching materials. That is an undeniable truth."

I am a 13 year old who loves reading .I thought that I cold give a try in writing and here I am .Never expected anyone to read my book and Thank you to all who read it.I live in India so we have English as our first language so there won't be many grammatical mistakes.We have compulsory creative writing in English so all of us are used to writing lame stories.I know currently nothing much is happening in the story but I can assure that by the weekend the story will get interesting.

what if, your marriage was not your own choice

Daeva after bumping with Juno, she thought that her behavior wasn't so nice. But when the school bell rings, she snapped out of it and went to her designated room for her subject. Daeva is a fourth year college student in Literature and Creative Writing. She thought of becoming a writer to write literary pieces based on her experiences. Also, she thought that becoming a writer would allow her to have a small chance of interacting with people.

When she was about to enter her room, her Professor bumped into her. Mrs. Sanchez smiled at her. Daeva greeted her good morning and Mrs. Sanchez greeted her in return.

They both entered the room and Daeva sat at the second row. Mrs. Sanchez greeted her class and began discussing a lesson about her subject. She kept blabbing in front while Daeva glanced at the window. She caught a glimpse of Juno who's about to leave the school gates. As she follows Juno with her eyes, she began to feel a sharp pain at her left forearm. She didn't bother looking at it, she knows that it's currently bleeding so she just pulled her black sleeves lower. She returned her attention to her discussing professor and listens to her.

A couple of subjects passed then Daeva's lunch break arrived. She quickly ate at the cafeteria before going to the library. The school's library was enormous. It's also where the book club is rooming. Daeva is a member of the Book club and happens to be a good friend of Kevin, the Book club's president. When Daeva came in, she found Kevin fixing books that weren't returned to the proper shelve. She just picked up some books that were left at the tables and did the same. There weren't too much people in the library for now so she started casually chatting with Kevin.

"Hey Kev, you seem frustrated... What's wrong??" asked Daeva.

"Student School Council Vice President...She destroyed my morning." said Kevin casually.

"What did she do to you?" Daeva felt curious.

"Oh nothing...She just shuted me out... refusing to do some student council duties...or simply take the proposal and leave it to miss President's table... That's all..." Kevin replied.

Daeva didn't asked further what happened...But then, she felt like the person who she bumped with earlier at the hall way was the Vice President.

"The Vice President, was she the campus belle I keep hearing about." Daeva asked.

"Hmm? Yeah, that's her...Why, what's up?" asked Kevin as he finished arranging the books.

"I think she's the pretty blonde girl I bumped with this early morning. She wasn't really polite." Daeva said as she scratches the area where she felt pain while staring at Juno.

Kevin saw Daeva scratched her forearm right bellow her palm. He looked at Daeva with malicious intent. His lips curved up at one side. He then grab Daeva's hand and brought her to the school's clinic. Daeva didn't resisted and just followed Kevin.

The nurse was currently out of the clinic so Daeva's forearm can be treated. She pulled her sleeve up and let Kevin treat her wound. Kevin cleaned the blood off and covered it with bandage. When he was done, Daeva thanked Kevin and they came back to the library. 

There, while Daeva was waiting for her next class like Kevin, they decided to read a book. Daeva picked a random fantasy book while Kevin opened his laptop and read about demons.

"Let's go home together later and just order pizza for dinner, what do you say?" Kevin offered to Daeva.

Daeva just nodded, it's not very often that they go home together. Daeva and Kevin are roommates and oftentimes, Daeva gets home first before Kevin because of his club president duties.

Almost an hour have passed and Kevin closed his laptop. It's time for his next class, Daeva still have over half an hour before her next subject so Kevin just left her. When Kevin left the library, the atmosphere in the library became gloomy. Anyone who's in there felt uncomfortable, some left but some ignored it. Daeva is feeling a bit irritated but what can she do? She can't get rid of them...never...

Daeva kept reading until its just 15min left before her next class. She stood up from her sit and returned the book into one of the shelves. She felt a hand caressed her cheek and hear a chuckle. Daeva ignored it and left the library.

When she's out of the library, she can feel that someone ran "its" fingers on her hair. Her mouth was twitching, slowly forming a malicious grin. She covered her mouth with her hands, then, she took out a face mask from her pants's pocket and covered her grin. She went to her next class as if nothing had happened.

She still have 2 subjects left for her to survive. Her 3rd subject for the day passed as if it was a filler chapter of her day. Nothing very interesting occurred nor the class. But on her final subject of the day: Creative Writing, the class was given an activity and that is to write a poem. The poem have no specific theme but should be rhyming.

Writing poems weren't a problem for Daeva at all. She doesn't limit herself when it comes to writing and its subject. She writes what's in her mind and what she feels. They we're given an hour and when they were done, they are then dismissed. Daeva finished after 30min, she's always the first one to finish. As she passed her work and leaves the room, her professor Mr.Wilson gave her work a read.

This is a collection of different stories but all told by one person, Daeva. A mysterious young woman who's always very reserved and isolated from everyone. You may approach her like anyone else but beware...

This is a horror/suspense story...please read with caution. You might not be able to sleep at night with lights off and open doors and windows.

This will be an information chapter. It's not apart of the actual story since it's in the auxiliary volume however it will have extras. Such as a world map. And any other things that is not in the main chapters would be here (When I'm bothered enough to write it).
World Map: The link for the world map will be in the comments as you can't copy and paste text within webnovel. The world has 3 continents Drago, Kingdar, Faltro. And there are multiple countries however there are 4 main ones. Read the story to find out why they're the main ones. They're named Yelgard, Relgraw, Veldrey and Camelot.
Also why the names are written weird on the map is explained in the 3rd chapter (sorta) but it's basically the writing system of Xaltrey is English but fancily written because I'm not creative.
History of Xaltrey: Read the book. That's the juicy stuff. I can't give it away yet. However it hasn't been revealed yet as I'm writing but eventually.
