I didn't want to write this. I really didn't. I'm delighted that my loyal readers gave this book a chance anyway even though it's different from what other novels are like out there. But, I am going to cancel this novel or update slowly. I tried very hard to persist by writing more chapters. But I can't. I lost my direction and creative voice.

It's NOT the reader's fault. It's my own. I love and appreciate all the feedback and comments given. Readers are allowed to offer opinions and critiques. I praise those who do. It's very insightful and thoughtful. 

The reason why I chose to give up is for two reasons. I lost my direction, meaning that it's not coming out the way I initially wanted it. The reason why is because I felt that since my story is different, I took a risk, which all authors do. We take risks. 

But unfortunately, I changed and re-wrote this story twice because I tried to make it good. But I didn't follow my initial instinct because I was afraid of what people may think, which is my fault for overthinking in the first place. 

Now, for the second reason. I am comparing this book to my first one. Now, it's challenging to grasp attention as a novice writer with no experience. But my first book, "Daughters of the Elite," FAILED the first time. It flopped. Badly. I went in and re-wrote it. 

NOW, it has a million views, hundreds of comments, and dozens of reviews. I never thought it would reach that audience since it's not contracted. But it did, and I'm happy and thrilled! 

The second time I wrote it, I received collections and votes quickly. I struggled at first, but my audience multiplied, once the word spread. My synopsis grabbed people, and I didn't enter any competitions because I didn't like the fact that people had to pay spirit stones. UGH. The amount of money I spent on this app because of 1000+ chapter novels. 

I hated the spirit stone system, so when I began writing, I wanted my stories to be good and free, but the issues are none of my works are promoted for that reason. 

I didn't gain a cent writing DOTE, but it's OKAY. I write these books for fun, but in the end, I know when to stop if it's not doing well. This book is not doing well at all. Which, again, I am not hurt by it that much, because I have book three that keeps me going. 

Before publishing this book, I received many requests and comments about how people were excited about book two, and I feel like I failed you guys. It's mysterious for sure, with some intrigue. But it's not what people want. 

Book 3, however, is anticipated. Now, I already began writing the book, and there are no struggles with it so far in terms of plot writing. *Hopefully* but I should drop this one. I persisted with DOTE; I failed on this one. I'm sorry. 

This book is about love that is thought to be lost but regained over time. 

NOW! I might complete this novel!!! However, updates will be unpredictable. It could be once every few days, maybe once a week. I am focused on book three. 

I really do like writing this book. But again, not many people like the idea of this one, of course, as you readers being the wonderful exception.

BOT was the abbreviated version of "BUILD, OPERATE, and TRANSFER," which referred to the transferring method of civilian construction after operation. The government had appointed a civilian company to build and operate construction for a while, but later took back the construction responsibilities and ran it by themselves.
The major focus of BOT were infrastructure constructions. The government did not have enough money to operate, so it transferred its rights to civilian companies. Those companies constructed buildings. The companies had a period of time to run the construction before they had to give it back to the government. Through this method, the companies could make up for the constructions fees, as well as benefit from the builds.
The Channel Tunnel was a famous BOT case. The entire project had cost twelve billion dollars, but the UK and France had not agreed on the cost. During the period when the two countries had decided to build the tunnel, Margaret Thatcher was in control of the UK, while President Mitterrand was in control of France. Neither of them were willing to pay the cost of construction, so they chose to adopt the BOT method.
The Provincial Youth Games were being held in the Civilian Sports Center, which had been built through BOT. According to the contract, the first several years of management rights belonged to the Continental Corporation. Because of this, having a competition in that particular building was undoubtedly stepping on Continental's territory.

"No problem," Dai Li nodded. He bent over to get into the car. The assistant gently closed the door. The driver got out and stood outside.
"A Maybach, what a nice car," Dai Li sighed. He subconsciously touched the black dermal seat; it was really nice. Then he turned to Manager Fang and said, "Good afternoon, Manager Fang. What can I do for you?"
Manager Fang nodded his head gently and said, "I am having a dinner party soon, so I will make it short. I want you to persuade Haiquan Fang to give up long jumping and study in the UK."
Dai Li was in a daze. He had never expected Fang to make such a request. He asked confusingly, "Why me?"
"Because I have never seen a person that Haiquan Fang admires so much. You are important to him, so I think you would be the best one to persuade him," said Manager Fang.
Dai Li was even more confused. He did not understand what was going on.
Fang explained, "Recently, when Haiquan Fang went back home for the weekend, he said a lot about you. He said that you are the best and most skillful coach he has ever met. Before you, we had employed several coaches for him, but none of them had ever received such good compliments. He must trust and listen to you. So I am hoping that you can tell him that he is not suitable for the long jump, and to stop doing the wrong thing."

"Haiquan Fang is gifted in the long jump. Even the national team does not have a talented long jumper like him. He was born to do this," said Dai Li.
Dai Li was not exaggerating. Previously, when he had been in the Beikou Training Center, he had detected a lot of athletes there. The fact was that even on the national team, there were only a few A-level talent athletes; most of them were only B-level. "Christine, allow me to tell you who I really am," Corinna eagerly opened the conversation. "I was a bullying victim too."

"Really?" I asked Corinna. "Tell me what happened."

Corinna started off by narrating how she was cruelly treated by her own classmates in school as a fifth grader. 

In her recollection, Corinna tearfully revealed that she was constantly ignored and rebuked by her classmates while attempting to join their group. They saw Corinna as an 'ugly duckling' that does not have what it takes to be a lady.

To make matters worse, Charissa's classmates called her a 'disgusting piece of crap' and a 'poor and ugly SOB'. They even went as far as playing an ugly prank on Corinna. 

She recalled one particular moment when one classmate poured a tub of water behind Corinna's back.

"There was this girl who sneaked from behind and suddenly dropped a tub of water on me," Corinna said, her eyes leaking with tears. "My uniform and my whole body were so wet and I was so angry and annoyed that I refused to come back to class."

Eventually, with the urging of her class adviser, Corinna reluctantly made her way back to class. But the damage had been done.

After only a few months, Corinna's parents came to school and told the principal that they would withdraw her from school without further notice. While the principal eventually kicked out the offender responsible for the cruel prank on Corinna, she still left school anyway, never to return again.

"Christine, I felt so severely depressed at the time that taking my life became an unexpected option," she looked back at that emotional moment. "I wanted to have a decent education so bad, but the demands of social life snatched all the joy away."

At this point Corinna started to cry. Her tears melted some of the black eye-shadow off her eyes.

After hugging Corinna and telling her to unleash all of her pent-up emotion, she continued on with her story. This time the mood went from gloom to cheerful in a matter of minutes.

Determined to give her a second chance, Corinna's parents transferred her to a different school which was not far from the campus she previously attended. This time, however, she managed to fit in well with her new classmates.

"Upon moving to a new school, I thought I would receive a frosty reception," Corinna wistfully recalled. "Instead, my new classmates were more than willing to hang out and talk to me, and I enjoyed every moment of it."

Corinna's new classmates were also girls who were two years younger than her. But unlike her former classmates, they were not concerned about being beautiful and elegant; instead, they only aimed for academic excellence and nothing else.

Corinna thrived in her new surroundings and she eventually finished in the top 20 of her class in grade school. The same can also be said in high school where Corinna ended in the top 20 as well.

"Those were some of my best moments I ever experienced," Corinna related to me. "My new classmates helped me work hard on my education, and I got rewarded with it."

Corinna also excelled in debate competitions during high school. She was also a two-time poetry and declamation winner.

Still, not even a new environment prevented Corinna from escaping her troubled past. On a few occasions after class, Corinna went face to face with her former classmates who continued to taunt her at every turn.

"I still have nightmares from my old school every now and then," Corinna recalled. "But I largely ignored it because those new classmates wanted me to concentrate more on my studies and nothing else."

When Corinna entered college, she became determined to leave her troubled past behind. Corinna cut her hair short, inked some tattoos and began to dress in goth-inspired clothing.

Corinna and I went to her condominium unit thinking that she would change clothes. Instead, she took off her black shirt for a moment to reveal some tattoos and a navel ring.

Corinna's upper back tattoo is of her own name written in a Gothic-style lettering. She then showed me two more of them: a broken red heart near her right breast and three stars on her left abdomen.

"Gosh, you really changed a lot," I remarked on Corinna's personal transformation. "You went from nice to naughty this quick."

"Actually Christine I'm still a pretty nice person deep down," Corinna responded. "People sometimes misunderstood me for my choice of clothing, but who cares? I'm comfortable with my choice of outfits."

After putting on her shirt back, Corinna went to the balcony to smoke. Despite offering me one or two sticks of cigarettes, I refused her offer and told her of my dislike towards cigarette smoke.

Shortly after, we went back to campus and continued our conversation. Just then, Corinna encountered Michelle fresh from basketball practice.

"Who's this girl?" Michelle remarked about Corinna. "She looked more unconventional than most other girls."

"Michelle, don't get me wrong. This lady always wanted to look like a rebel because that's who she really is," I answered back. "In fact she is my classmate from creative writing class. Her name is Corinna." 

After she had politely introduced herself to Michelle, the three of us strolled leisurely through the hallway. But it was already 11:10 a.m. and Corinna had a class to attend.

"Christine, sorry but I have to go," Corinna announced to me. "I have class coming up in a few."

"Oh well," I replied earnestly. "We can communicate some other time, perhaps in class tomorrow. What can you say?"

"Why not?" Corinna smilingly assured me before walking gently to her classroom. "See you soon then."

After Corinna departed from our sights, Michelle and I were on our way to a different class. But Michelle still harbored personal doubts over her.

"Christine, I'm unsure about Corinna, though," Michelle wondered bitterly. "She acted very nice, but something about her ticked me off."

"Don't worry about it," I assured a doubtful Michelle. "It was her conscious decision to dress like that, but she's still a remarkably kind person to talk along with."

"Hope she stays like that," Michelle reluctantly accepted.

It was off to media ethics class for us. Yet in spite of my continued assurance regarding Corinna, Michelle remains uncertain of her.

The discord server has a bot named MEE6. He is the first line of defense against swearing and curse words in the server. Of course, some of the authors don't really curse (most of the time). But, there are times when they do and MEE6 automatically delete their message and give them a warning.

In order to bypass this flaw, the authors made sure to be more "creative" when they use curse words. This works most of the time, especially when mods are not around.

There was even a time when someone was about to get YEETED by the dentist and he was typing like mad on the discord chatroom about the dentist being EVIL and not giving any anesthetic.

‌Where am I, who am I these are the question the boy was thinking sitting in a graveyard before him was  the grave from which he claimed out from. Allen Lionhart from 1935-1943 was written on the tomb stone which could answer his first question but what is he doing here and why can't he remember anything he thought. Beside his grave were few more graves all ending with surname of Lionhart. From what he could think of this was a personal graveyard of Lionhart family. He spent most most of the time with his farther or with Jefre who was the son of a maid working in his house he was was of same age him. He remembered his death was because a chef's apprentice mixed poisen in their food which was intend to kill his mother but ended up killing his mother father and him. Our places on this earth are divided by oceans setting us apart from one continent to another. Several countries speaking several languages to understand each other. People with several cultures and beliefs. Different personalities and opinions.

In this chaotic world, we live in called real life we search for a place to escape from that reality. To be accepted as who or what we are. We have found that in the music we sing. In the books, we read. In the movies we watch. In the places, we travel and visit. Everywhere in which we get inspiration to face reality head-on.

We write stories or poems to inspire others, reading the words we weave from our own world. For some of us, it is simply an escape from reality into a world in which we can use our imaginations to dream make-believe or to live our secret fantasies or just plain be creative.

Getting on the web gives us more ways to share and get connected to other people with the same kind of thinking from across the ocean. Some of the people we meet along the way give us reasons to smile again. It's where we become friends, get to know them well, and get so close that we even trust them enough to share our own greatest fears.

I was a living a kind of living death when I found solace here on Stories Space. A place to write, camouflaging my hatred and sadness from myself when I was reading all the poetry and fictional fantasies created by the writers. I found another escape from reality and indulged in reading.

My feelings from my own troubles in life had made me feel so empty that only through laughter and reading could I be free and somewhat whole again.

I made my own heaven in purgatory.

A friend told me to write down all of my pains and troubles in poems or stories. Another friend of mine told me to be fierce in my poetry writing. I found friends who helped me give my own life a reason to continue living again through writing.

Writing makes me calm every time my mind gets into a panic mode. The pains and the fears of the unknown are my muses for writing.

When I met someone who understood me and made me feel needed and loved my poetry changed its tune. It made me think of happy thoughts. I got inspired by the things I saw and the happy memories of my childhood that I could write about.

Painful memories and realities were always there and so I wrote about them from time to time.

When that someone left me I continued writing. The same inner muse I had gained I used to keep on writing.

Then, out of nowhere, I got to know you. I became happy again. This time I got even more inspired and more creative, experimenting with my writings.

I set aside my shyness and reservations to write creatively. I still can't overcome some of my shyness and reservation but I am blooming, inspired by you.

You became my muse.

The man in the moon. The stars in my darkest hours. When at night I can't sleep thinking of you calms me to sleep.

The sunshine after the heavy storm. Where all the dead trees come to life again. That keeps me warm when everything gets chilly.

My own little heaven in my real life purgatory.

"I know of a shortcut that can allow us to directly enter the second seed and participate in the pre-season. As long as we participate in the pre-season, I have confidence that we can enter the LPL." Lin Dong said.
"What's the shortcut?" everyone asked, looking at Lin Dong.
Professional leagues definitely had their rules and regulations as well as ladders to climb. The team that Lin Dong formed was just one of the thousands of teams out there, how could they stand out from the crowd?
The only way was to participate in various competitions. Professional leagues have thresholds, including some third seed competitions. However, if they were to begin from non-professional competitions, it would take a long time before they were able to enter a third seed professional competition.
LPL would start in March of the following year, and out of all the teams in the whole country, only eight teams would be qualified to enter. 
The second seed team would amount to about thirty or forty teams, and the third seed teams would be in the hundreds. Non-professional teams would easily amount to thousands.
If their newly formed team wanted to climb step by step, it would require a lot of time. It may not even be possible for them to enter LPL as one of the eight teams next year.
They were different than the other professional teams who needed to climb step by step, they had more experience in big competitions as compared to them. They had the strength and confidence in taking part in world competitions which the others didn't have, the only thing they lacked was the stepping stone that would allow them to take a short cut up the stairs.
Lin Dong believed that with their skills, they only needed to train two or three months before they would be able to compete with those long term third seed professional teams. Once they reached a certain understanding, they could even compete against second rate teams easily. 
They couldn't be wasting time in the non-professional games, their training time was already so little. It couldn't be wasted in some non-professional competition, not even third seed competitions.
"What I mean is, we have the experience in competitions. We don't have to go through those competitions to gain experience again. We just have to train hard and go directly into a second seed competition and stand out from the inside. It will give a massive shock to the audience," Lin Dong explained.
Da Luo nodded his head in agreement, the few of them had managed to obtain the highest recognition in the E-sports industry before, making their way successfully onto the world's stage. The competitions within the country weren't anything to be compared with, there wouldn't be any stage fright or playing below par in those situations.
In that case, they would forgo the small competitions, using the time to engage in more practice sessions and head directly toward the more heavy-weight competitions!
"Wouldn't it be too complacent, thinking like that?" Zhou Yan asked. "If possible, we could use some of the competition matches to feel out the strength of the LOL professional teams and measure our own strength. Wouldn't it be arrogance and ignorance by thinking we own the sky?"
Zhou Yan was a person who was more cautious in nature and he also pondered more in situations like this.
"Zhou, I'm not dismissing what you say, but the funds that we have pooled together are only so much and we can only choose from these two roads in front of us. One is that we start with competitions that offer prize money to win some funds to stabilize the development of our team, but then we definitely won't make it in time for the coming LPL." Lin Dong said. "The other is that we rely on our current funds, go straight into pre-season in December, and play our way into LPL. Once we get into LPL, we should have sponsorships and that would solve all our problems."
 "I feel like the step by step is not necessary and the fast route is better." Da Luo said. "After all, we're not some half-baked team formed by newbies or rookies."
If you didn't have confidence after making it to the world championship, how would you qualify to go against the strong professional teams which were in the current E-sports circle?
You must understand that Team Daemon who had stood at the same placement as their Team Wings in their country were also now the leading team in LOL and they were basically the strongest right now!
Their ex-teammate—Zhao Tinghua was the captain of Team Sky, and their ranking had consistently been in the top three in the country. That being said, it would be hard for them if they were to lower themselves too much!
"I think we can go for the fast route and forgo the slow climb." Luocheng said, as he believed in the strength of his team.
Since it was Luocheng who had spoken, the rest of them agreed unanimously. The remaining time would be used for training and they would directly enter the pre-season, shocking the nation by heading straight into the spotlight!
"If we don't participate in any competitions, we won't qualify to enter the pre-season, are we at least participating in the pre-seasonal qualifiers?" Zhou Yan asked. 
"The pre-seasonal qualifiers won't take up much of our time, just take it as a warm up session." Lin Dong replied. "It should happen around November, so we have one month of practice to shine in the qualifiers." 
"Lin Dong, didn't you say there was a short cut?" Da Luo asked.
"Ah, it's a bit of a risk, so I think we'd better forget about it. We're entering the pre-seasonal qualifiers in November and after that, we'll resume practice." Lin Dong explained. "We'll then participate in the knockout rounds into the finals, win the finals, and get the qualification to enter LPL as a first seed team."
"Well, that sounds like a plan. It's not too late to start either, so we should get started as soon as possible." Zhou Yan said. "Will there be any problems on Xiao Bei's side?"
"There won't be." Lin Dong replied. "He'll come over as soon as everyone has gathered."
"What about Wu Sen?" Luocheng asked.
"He'll come any time when he's called, he's unemployed now anyway." Zhou Yan replied.
A lot of professional teams usually chose to participate in some competitions to increase their experience and also to increase their fame and funds.
It would look ridiculous to outsiders if they saw what this team was doing, choosing to directly participate in second seed pre-season competitions. However, as long as it could produce results, this would definitely silence those people!
"We're not even sure if we can still play up to the world's stage…" Zhou Yan said solemnly.
The world's stage?
Everyone in Team Wings would never forget the scene which had happened on the world's stage. Representing the Chinese, representing the highest honor and reputation, competing with the top E-sports masters of various countries. Zhou Yan nodded his head, agreeing with them, indicating that Luocheng should pick the name of their team.
Luocheng contemplated for a while, thinking hard.
"LM, let's call it Team LM."
"LM?" Everyone parroted. "Is there a meaning behind it?"
"Nothing, I just thought of these two letters." Luocheng said with a straight face.
"LM…"
"LM doesn't sound too bad, let's go with Team LM then!"
Luocheng was their leader, and the name they chose didn't have to have a specific meaning after all. They agreed with him out of habit, because only by following his leadership had they managed to step foot into the world's stage. That was their intuition and they felt that the name Team LM would surely resound throughout the country in the future!
