A pair of twin sisters, Chen Xin Hui, the older twin, and Chen Xin Yu, the younger twin, were involved in a car accident and lost their parents. with no progress.Even some nearby cultivation schools were

suspected, and Cloud Valley entered conflicts with a few of them,

and as a low level disciple and as long as he kept quiet and cultivated

 it all had nothing to do with him.

Overall, There were no changes in Lin Xuan's daily life, as he maintained his usual diligent demeanor, as usual he had little to show for his efforts, the only difference was that he also spent a little time each day to try and examine the blue lights.

In an instant, two weeks go by.

"It seems like i need to go look up some information, i might be able to find a clue from some ancient books." Lin Xuan thought as he lay in bed, the alternative to books was asking one of his seniors, as they were experienced with the outside world, and may have heard some things.

Certainly, this was a possibility, but to Lin Xuan it was a joke, since if he was to ask an Elder and they were to know the truth, what would stop them from killing him for those lights.

Lin Xuan wasn't foolish enough to risk his life.

Besides the point, his questions might reveal his connection to Zhang Yu and Zhou Yan...

Those blue lights were his own secret to keep, and Lin Xuan clearly understood that he should figure it out on his own, and never let others know.

With this decision, Lin Xuan went to bed, deciding to begin searching books the next morning.

The next morning Lin Xuan arrived in front of the main hall.

The main hall, built into the mountainside stood magnificently, is one of the core areas of Cloud Valley, as that is where all the books are stored, and was heavily guarded, with three guard posts and 5 guards per post, with various spirit beasts patrolling the areas in between.

The Spirit beasts, were actually just wild monsters, but unlike the ones in the wild, these spirit beasts gained have the power to control spiritual power as a result of how they were raised. As such they were regularly tamed by cultivators as pets. Their strength however is not to be underestimated, as they can cultivate to the same levels as humans, and a spirit beast of the same level is always stronger than a human. Moreover, once they recognize a master, they are highly loyal, and will never betray their master and would even fight to the death. It is because of this that Cloud Valley used many of them as guards.

A roar echoes through the hills, as Lin Xuan gets within two hundred meters of the main hall. As the roar fades away, A red flash of light arrives in front of Lin Xuan, it is a large red tiger, however unlike normal tigers, this one is twice the size, with light flames all over its pure red body, causing the nearby grass to begin to burn.

The imposing manner is definitely that of lions and tigers, its tyrannical aura, making the body run cold.

Fierce Fire Tiger, first-level low-grade Spirit Beast!

Spirit beasts are divided into eight stages corresponding to Spirit Condensation through the Tribulation Ascension , each level being divided into low-grade, mid-grade, high-grade, and best-grade.

With first level corresponding to Spirit Condensation stage, second-level being Foundation Establishment , and so on...

At the same rank, however, although spirit beasts have more power, they cannot win against cultivators because they do not posses the same level of intelligence.

The Fire Fire Tiger's body exceeding three meters in length, sending out flames from its whole body, is truly an imposing sight, however Lin Xuan could care less, since it simply had the mind of a domestic animal, and although Lin Xuan was looked down upon by the others in the school, he was still at the end of the day a legitimate disciple.

Each spirit beast at the school knew the characteristics of all the disciples, as they had the relevant information imprinted into their minds , so that the beasts would be able to distinguish between outsiders and students.

The Fierce Fire tiger, after arriving in front of Lin Xuan roars lowly, however Lin Xuan's appearance is undisturbed, and as the Spirit beat examines Lin Xuan, the hostility in its eyes gradually fades away, quickly replaced by a pleased look, as it recognized Lin Xuan and moves to the side.

Once through the door, Lin Xuan arrives in the hall, Lin Xuan examines the surroundings. The entire library being divided into  three levels, the first level containing the most volumes and was open to all students. However most of the books on the first level are merely storybooks, and held little value to cultivators.

The true collection began on the second level, as they contained instructions for Alchemy, skill books, as well as different cultivation methods, and only foundation building experts and higher were allowed to borrow those books.

The defenses on the first level are even more powerful on the second level, as it is guarded by not only an Elder, but also layers upon layers of spirit formations.

As for the third level, that was where the most precious items were kept, they contained the cultivation manuals of each generation of school head for Cloud Valley, as well as the best training methods they discovered, only those accompanied by the school leader were allowed entrance there, as for the guard for the third layer, it was several high level monsters.

As each disciple was only allowed to borrow up to three books at a time, Lin Xuan began to carefully began to search of information.

As the entire first level occupied several thousand square feet, with rows of bookshelves, neatly organized, Lin Xuan begins on the left side and begins to scan titles.

Compared with those old-school sorcerers, Mr. Evans might be able to provide you folks with great new insights, and maybe one day Mr. Evans will become a mentor!"
The title, mentor, was especially used to respect those high-rank mages. Across the continent, high-rank mages were very rare, even in the Duchy of Violet.
Tom’s words clearly showed that he saw the great potential in Lucien, especially because of the task had Lucien perfectly fulfilled before.
As many of them were quite shy, some young apprentices started to whisper to each other again.
At this time, Sprint, who clearly viewed himself as the leader of the apprentices, responded in a quite firm attitude, "I still prefer to study arcana on my own."
"I agree. We’ve all got our own schedules." Katrina nodded.
Tom’s face looked a bit gloomy now. He rather felt awkward for Lucien.
When Tom was about to say something else, Lucien finally started to talk to the apprentices, "Everyone needs to make their own choices, and I understand. What about the others? Anyone wants to study arcana with me?"

I believe in your talent in magic, Mr. Evans… You becoming a real sorcerer at such a young age makes me believe in your wisdom. I hope that I could have the pleasure to become your student, even for only a short period of time."
Annick’s family had been falling in the past years. Annick’s spiritual power potential was greater than his family peers, and hence he was burdened with the great hope from his parents and relatives. However, Annick’s arcana talent was not as impressive as that of his spiritual power, so he understood that he needed to seize every possible opportunity that he encountered.
"Well… Welcome, Annick." Lucien nodded, "Let’s work together."
Then, following Annick, another two teenager apprentices volunteered.
"Mr. Evans, I want to learn from you as well." Layria’s voice was crisp, and her big eyes looked very sincere.
"Me, too. Mr. Evans." Heidi joined them as well with his slightly chubby face with few freckles on it.
As they were speaking, both of them slightly pulled Annick’s shirt from behind, as if they were showing their support to him.
Lucien was a bit touched by their pure friendship. He smiled and said to Annick, Layria and Heidi, "No problem. Three students is enough. I cannot handle teaching more."
Subconsciously, Lucien used the word "teaching", since he never felt that his understanding toward arcana was inferior to most of his peers.
Hearing that, a few more apprentices who did not seize the chance fast enough started to feel a bit regretful.
"Congratulations to you three." Tom gently applauded, "The rest of you folks should keep working hard."
"We will, Mr. Tom." Sprint took a glance at the three Lucien’s students, turned around and continued to do his study again, and so did Katrina.
Tom shrugged to Lucien, "Young kids… Anyway, Mr. Evans, please just pick a room on the third floor, whichever you like, to stay for the week. In seven days, we’ll leave for Allyn. During the seven days, avoid going out as much as possible."
Lucien nodded, "I’m looking forward to the trip in seven days."
After Tom left, Lucien asked his three students to sit down in a half circle-shaped couch and started to do his own introduction, "I’m Evans, from the west side of the continent. I’m more into the School of Element and Astrology, but no mastery yet. Feel free to discuss any questions you have with me, please."
"Mr. Evans, nice to meet you," said the chubby-faced girl, "I’m Heidi, and I come from Syracuse. I was recommended by a sorcerer in my country to Mr. Astar and then arrived at Sturk. Within a couple of weeks’ study, I’m already an apprentice in training. I’m currently with Element Meditation, but also studying the rest of the schools as well."
Heidi was the most outgoing one among the three apprentices, so she introduced herself first. As a young teenager, she could not help showing off a bit of her talent.
Following Heidi, Layria said to Lucien in respect, "Mr. Evans, I’m Layria from a common family in Gusta. Since my referrer is a gentleman from the congress, I’m currently practicing Magnetic Resonance Meditation. Mr. Astar told us that, no matter which school we choose to specialize in, basic arcana knowledge is always indispensable, so I’m very looking forward to your instruction."
"I’m from a small town in the Duchy of Violet, Mr. Evans," said Annick. "I study Astrology and Element, too."
Then, before Lucien asked for the arcana books, Heidi already carried all her books to him, "Mr. Evans, can you understand all of them? In most cases, I have no clue at all."
"Me neither," agreed both Layria and Annick.
Taking over the books from Heidi, Lucien started to leaf through them.
The first book was The Significance of Modelling, and its preface wrote:
"In the ancient magic empire time, the belief that prevailed is that understanding the different meanings of the corresponding parts of a magic model is unnecessary and inappropriate, instead, copying the models existing inside of the magic creatures is enough. However, as long as there is myth, there should be an answer; as long as there is an answer, there should be a way to discover it. And if we cannot find the way, it is because we are not on the correct path."
Lucien strongly agreed with the author of the book. He believed that the basic principles of science should be shared by both Earth and this world. Although there must be differences, there should always be ways to identify the differences, as long as one was willing to bravely make hypothesis and carefully verify them.
Lucien turned the book to the front page again, and he was very surprised to find the familiar name on there: the author of the book was Yaroran Hathaway, the maker of Natasha’s Thunder.
Since his three students were still waiting, Lucien did not spend any extra time on exploring who was Yaroran Hathaway. In a reasonable speed, Lucien browsed through all the books and copied them in his spirit library.
"Mr. Evans, how do you think?" Seeing that Lucien put down the last book, both Heidi and Layria asked at the same time.
Lucien found that, despite the fact that all the content was about the magic world, the basic science principles and knowledge lying underneath was about junior high school or high school level, so he nodded slightly and explained, "The reason why you three could not understand is the lack of the corresponding basic knowledge, since the knowledge in these books is built upon other more basic books. And among these basic books, you three should work on Basic Geometry of Magic and Common Algebra first."
"Are these two books also hard to understand?" Layria asked a bit concernedly.
"I’ll read them with you." Lucien tried to encourage them, "The two books should not be too difficult if we’re willing to spend lots of time on the exercises."
"Lots of time on… the exercises…?" murmured Layria confusedly. Clearly, she did not really get the idea "exercise", and neither did Annick and Heidi.
As a university student who had experienced the nightmarish college entrance examination in the country in his original world, Lucien started to pray for the three teenagers out of sympathy.
Obviously, they still had no idea of how much work they would be asked to do soon.

In this magic world, knowledge is power.

I walk through my dreams like I've lived a whole life there, most times they are about a recent book I read. That is one of the things I do a lot and I'm not just saying that I really do read almost all day long. If I'm not reading I am probably watching some movie or anime series, yes you can probably guess I haven't done much with my life. let's start where it all began.

Back in middle school I loved to read books so much so that when I was grounded they took away my books instead of saying I couldn't go out with friends or no tv/games. yes I was a pretty strange kid compared to some being a 12 year old in America at the time(2012 No less). when I was grounded my next best thing was video games because they told stories as well at the time my video game collection was pretty sparce using an old dell business computer that ran windows xp (let's just say I got really good at minesweeper). even before I found books video games were still present. I still remember my mom gifting me an original Xbox she won in a contest it came with one game and it was a racing game not a lot of story just races.

After a while of getting in trouble I got grounded while i was grounded so I lost games as well suffice to say my box of legos was not very entertaining for a 12 year old mainly because I didn't like to make things up myself it felt so tedious that I had to work so hard to make up shapes and other things people already. i also didn't have many friends so instead I slept, and I slept hard. I don't remember much of my dreams then but I do remember one that was about magic and there was a really dark forest that went on forever in a sea of trees, other than that though I don't remember.
A couple of months later I was officially free and it felt like freedom I got to read again, it was so much fun, I would imagine it being like a drowning mans next breath of air. I didn't goto sleep that night instead I stayed up reading, when morning came I was tired but the book just got to THAT PART that is just so interesting and catching you can't stop, i read through that day as well. after dinner I got so tired I slept couldn't keep reading.
the next morning felt so sluggish like the morning after you get drunk but not enough for a hangover. well after a week of being late for school because I was busy reading parents up an sold all my books. ALL of them like really I was almost done reading them! I never read another book until after basic training 4 or 5 years later.
things changed after I lost my collection I switched to video games and because they didn't want me up all night reading whenever Christmas came around it was games instead of books. birthday? video game. my dad was an avid gamer always tried to keep his pc updated and sent old games I could run on my pc to me. me and my dad were always great at games but I could never compete with him, and it totally didn't have to do with me playing the games for the stories instead of for the high scores(of you can't tell this sentence is sarcasm read this again).

flash forward to the start of high school I was big on video games by then my computer had upgraded to a brand new one from my birthday me and my dad built it together good memories there. I remember when i tried to play morrowwind on it. that was when I realised I didn't like challenging games i liked to play and get the story, maybe different endings (those were my favorite).

at the start of high school I didn't really have a lot of friends because I didn't have many in middle school. my dad recommended me to join the ROTC there, he said he did and he had fun when he was in high school. So I did and the first year was fun and it started with ROTC especially when I started competing. I had so much fun I spent 14 hours of day at school I woke up at 5 to get to practice went to school than got home around 7 after the other practice you can imagine I didn't have a lot of time for video games especially because all that practice was physally demanding. 

1 year later 2 year in high school this I would consider the real start of high school for you actually have to do something to pass your classes I met a girl in my math class (insert joke about about girls causing problems in highschool here [ps: this is the joke I'm not sexist]). We started talking about a lot of things our school football team things like that, than we got to books she loved to read book I got to see her library once well less of a library and more of a whole wall of books and all books I wanted to read. her name was Alex I had the biggest crush on her at one point than found out she was lesbian so we kinda grew apart shallow I know but it's high school things like this happen. anyways after seeing those books some of them I used to read myself I started to want to read again, but I had no books i was still forbidden to read so I put my frustration put on video games during this time I was playing a lot of modern warfare 2 I loved the story and the way it flowed but it was really the first game I really played on steam I have logged over 500 hours  on that game alone I got every achievement for single player even the ones for veteran difficulties and also got most for the multiplayer which at this point I had everything unlocked and was max level I loved the multi player.

at this point I was starting to show up late sometimes to practice because I wasn't sleeping early enough. I went one more year like that and over summer I played so many video  games I swear I dreamt about sheaperd in mw2 around this time skyrim came out and I played the heck out of it  (I didn't get as many hours of playtime because 3rd year of high school is the hardest around 200hours). 3rd year rolls around I've dropped out of all practices because it was all boring again nothing new same old stuff. I was still busy keeping my grades up especially that foreign language credit that is needed to graduate.

4th year felt like being a freshman again except youre the one who makes fun of the freshmen.

nothing important happened then so I graduated and I wanted adventure something new so I went and joined the US Airforce. If I knew what I knew about it than I would have waited unroll now to join. long story short my addiction to video games got the better of me some nights during training and I ended up sleeping in, combined with my selective forgetfulness  (I kid you not I forgot my boots one time). luckily I wasn't in that long so I got an entry level discharge (look it up if you don't know) after I got back I found books to read online and read I did but because I didn't have school and at the time no work to deal with

this is about the time where I realised something special about my dreams.

at one point in high school I played a game where you create your own games and other people play them but this wasn't like legos using only blocks this was a program and once they started to abandon the Lego building style I started to learn it you could import meshes from other programs like blender so I started learning how to use it during this time I started dreaming up wire frames i wanted to tell a story using this game a story without words. I spent a long time on this and I can say to this day that I am self taught at how to use blender and that I ended up really famous on that game for my builds

that was the first clue because I was spending so long learning how to use blender I started dreaming up wire frames or if I was having a really hard time with a specific thing I would dream how it looked and be able to re create it the next day.

now after my attempt at trying to get a stable job i went back to reading. It started out with books i had already read then spread and spread till I found whole websites filled with books to read some exciting some not and they all had one HUGE thing in common they were all fiction and that's what I like. the wilder the better.

one day I met a girl and we planned on getting married and we had a kid a beautiful daughter we named Angela love her so much. I don't know what happened after we came out of the hospital after she gave birth she said she was through with me and left. that hurt a lot so I went back to reading and read I did the stories around this time were mainly reincarnation stories in another world I swear I had a dream at one point i was reincarnated into alegasea  (if you don't know you haven't lived).

this is where I realised my dreams make for the best stories and I tried to write a story about a specific dream once or twice. It never turned out well. Now I'm in college for networking taking a Cisco class (super boring) so my dreams are extra vivid further making me want to write those stories out but they never seem to tell the story how I want then to but right now this one is working does this count as 4th wall break? (lol couldn't resist the humor there [and don't say it was bad because you thought it was funny at some point deep deeeep down you just don't know it])

a story about a man and his dreams that might mean he is insane or might just love books too much. don't listen to the voices in your head about this one because the pink platypusbear that sleeps like a bat doesn't like your drugs.

High-tier martial arts for Mystical Realm meant that they were high-tier martial arts that could only be practiced by those who had reached Mystical Realm, and it was self-evident that they were stronger than the high-tier martial arts of Blessed Realm. For example, Seven Stars Sword was a martial art from Sword of Heavenly Lake Faction. Even though Happy had never learned it in his previous life, he still had some understanding of it. Seven Stars Sword was quite a good high-tier martial art, and it could be considered as an average high-tier martial art in Mystical Realm. 
It contained Constellation Breathing Technique and Seven Stars Sword Styles!
Constellation Breathing Technique was a high-tier qi cultivation technique that was in Mystical Realm. Once it was activated, the user's recovery speed would become much faster. It would also provide a certain degree of effect toward expanding the meridian system and strengthening their affinity. 
Right then, there were not many people who had Mystical Realm qi cultivation techniques. 
It was the same for Seven Stars Sword Styles. All the powerful players on the Dragon and Phoenix Ranks relied on high-tier martial art manuals of Blessed Realm that came in full sets to become powerful in one go. Once Happy practiced and mastered the sword technique, he might not become invincible, but at the very least, he would not need to fear most of the powerful players on the Dragon and Phoenix Ranks!
When Happy pushed Big Dipper Sword Technique to Grandmaster Realm, his qi realm finally reached Mystical Realm. However, unfortunately for him, he still did not meet the requirements to practice Seven Stars Sword.

Even though he had reached the required qi realm, and his Arm Strength, Affinity, and Body Movement had also surpassed the requirement once he had pushed various martial arts to Grandmaster Real as well as one body fortification technique and one lightness skill, the increase in Comprehension had always been rather slow. Despite Happy experiencing several events when his Comprehension increased, there was still some time before he could practice Seven Stars Sword. 
In truth, this was also the system's way to protect players. It was set up to prevent people from practicing only high-tier martial arts to reach higher qi realms from the start to the end or from practicing only low-tier martial arts from the start to the end to increase their Comprehension. If it was allowed, it would be very easy for a chasm to appear between players in terms of power. Some people might even be able to display high-tier martial arts that surpassed their level. 
However, this sort of thing was not a hindrance to Happy. 
Once he notified Little North and Thunderous Battle, he quickly summoned his purplish-red horse and rode out of White Tiger Forest.
Over the last few days, aside from selling the high-tier martial arts and equipment in Fox Cave to obtain money, Happy had obtained quite a lot of loot from the fights, and the white tiger pelt that he got from the Mystical Realm White Tigers in White Tiger Forest was also very valuable. Right then, he already had more than four million taels of silver on his person, and his plan was to deposit all of it in the commission shop. 
When Happy returned to Wuhu, he charged straight to the commission shop and looked through the high-tier martial arts he had managed to buy. Then, he left behind one million taels of silver while going away with the other three million taels of silver to a quiet school for scholars.

The soft noise created an atmosphere of tranquility and harmony that could not be found in the world of martial artists, though it barely perceptible. 
Happy's expression became stern, and he changed to a normal blue robe and tied a hero's headband around his head. It made him look like a normal student, and he walked into the private school that had been set up by the system. 
He had only taken a few steps when he was blocked by an old teacher with a graying beard standing at the entrance to the hall of the private school. The old man was dressed in a white robe, and there was some hints of sternness under his cordial smile. 
"Young man, this is not a place where wanderers should go. For what reason have you come here?"
"I've come here to study."
"Why did you come here to study?"
The old teacher stared into Happy's eyes calmly, as if he wanted to see through the young man's thoughts. 
However, Happy had been prepared for this since a long time ago, and he answered calmly. "I want to learn of the path of virtuous sages because I aspire to become a good person."
"Yes, not bad."
A satisfied smile bloomed on the stern face of the old teacher. He stroked his graying beard, swung his arm, and stepped aside. 
"Please, come in."
It was actually a small test of the private school. If a player could not clear it because they stammered their answer or could not tell their reason for coming, the old teacher would stop them from entering the school without any hesitation. All the private schools and teachers in Wuhu would not impart that player with any knowledge.

They would then be chased out of the private school in the city where they had spawned and would have to travel to cities that were further away to continue testing their luck. They had to do this repeatedly before they could successfully learn from those schools!
"Thank you, teacher."
Happy politely bowed, and under the old teacher's admiring gaze, he entered the hall. 
What he saw straight away were hundreds of seats filled with people in the hall from which the sounds of reading came. Most people were dressed in white scholar robes, which were elegant and fit their bodies. They swayed their heads and looked incredibly charming. There were only a few people who were flipping through books in boredom or had their heads lowered while writing down something. 
Of course, not all of the people were players. There were only a few players who could pay the amount of money required to enter in the beginning of the game to increase their Comprehension in private schools. The serious-looking scholars who were swaying their heads were all NPC students the system had arranged in the school. They were there to add some life to the place. When a player arrived, they would take the initiative to give up their seat for them. 
Those who were flipping through the books and doodling were the real players. 
Happy's arrival swiftly attracted the six people's attention in the hall. Their eyes lit up, and their gazes landed on him. They were all sizing him up and making guesses about his identity. 
"Brother, there is an empty seat here."
The people who were sitting together waved their hands at him and gestured him over. 
It had to be known that players who could enter the private schools right then were all rather rich, and they were all smart people. They hoped that they could form a clique and create a unique circle that could help with them developing their connections and increase their speed in progressing in the game later on. 
Hence, many sects deliberately sent some of their sect members to linger around the private schools without spending any money to learn. They hoped that they could capture some people that had ability and entice them through hard work to join their side. 
Happy was not very willing to talk to such people. He came because he wanted to quickly increase his Comprehension and not to waste time and talk about everything and nothing with those people. 
He found a spot to sit down and summoned the studying system with a familiar move. There were plenty of books of various kinds inside, and each of them provided different amounts of Comprehension points. The money he had to spend to learn them was displayed behind the names of the books. 
The most common of them was the Three Character Classic. He only needed to copy it once to obtain one Comprehension point, but he needed to spend fifty thousand taels of silver for it, and he could not copy it again. 
There were only a few books that offered one Comprehension point. 
The ones that provided two Comprehension points were more expensive. If Happy copied them once, he would have to pay one hundred and eighty thousand taels of silver crumbs, which was equivalent to what a high-tier martial art manual cost. The books that provided three Comprehension points cost four hundred and fifty thousand taels of silver. There was no one who could easily buy such books. 
When the six people saw that Happy had decided to sit far away from them, they originally regarded him with a lot of disdain and scorn. However, as books swiftly appeared on his table, they quickly held their breaths. Their eyes went wide, and they fell completely silent!


When he returned to the World of Martial Arts, the game was filled with blood and battles! Chen Kaixin had chased after the footsteps of the one emperor, two empresses, three princes, seven dukes, and thirteen aces for three years, but during the eve of the Sword Among Us tournament in Mount Hua, he was ambushed by evil bastards, and was killed so much that his level dropped to that of a newbie. Sitting by the pond at the center of the library, Dyon immediately began pouring through the books Libro helped him get. Although Dyon's memory was never photographic, he was still proud of it. If he, at any point, understood a topic, it would be unlikely that he would forget it. But, this was taken to an all new level with the speed reading technique. 
By using the Sapientia family's technique, Dyon was able to understand the will of the books he wanted to read without even opening the cover. This essentially led to an even deeper understanding than he could have gained by normal methods. As such, the things he learned were engraved into his brain. As long as he put them to practice, he would never lose this knowledge. 
If he could gain a cultivation method, his capacity to use the technique would increase. He may even be able to speed read multiple high-level books at a time. 
Dyon was in awe of the knowledge he was gaining. Array Alchemy allowed a myriad of things, from setting up protection and slaughter arrays to grafting together simple plants to form more complex ones. Even just one aspect led to infinite possibilities. For example, scientifically speaking, grafting meant using special means to splice the DNA of various plants together to form a new plant sharing the properties of the grafted DNA, or even creating all new properties not shared by any of the plants used to create it. By using the martial world's methods, the new plant would even be available immediately without the growth wait time. 
'No wonder why no one wants to join this faction. The complexity is without bounds. Theoretically, there's an infinite amount of knowledge to gain, which means any regular student would never feel like they made any real progress.'
But this only made Dyon smile. Dyon estimated that in just 2 days, he'd have the common plant knowledge equivalent to that of the top array alchemy expert of Focus Academy. 
There was something that made Dyon even more excited, though. He technically might not need to read the books on the highest levels of the library. If he used his knowledge of plant biology in combination with his knowledge of the function of the common plants, he may be able to guess the results of grafting certain plants in certain ratios with high accuracy.  
'This must be hard to do for other Array Alchemists because they don't have the human world knowledge that I have.' 
This thought gave Dyon a new level of understanding. 
'Delia didn't not recognize the storage bands I have on because her world doesn't have the means to make them. She didn't recognize them because her world has other means to create the same effects, so they don't need commoner storage bands.' 
One of the basic books of the martial world that Dyon read about gave an overview of the storage devices in the martial world. While human devices utilized preservation and miniaturization technology, the martial world used special gems that consolidated infinitesimally small amounts of dimension and time will to recreate the same effects. Dyon accessed the objects he stored through a screen, while Mayumi could pull out his bow and arrow just by touching the gem and using his will. 
This was an important epiphany for Dyon for many reasons. For one, this steeled his resolve to not underestimate those of the martial world. They weren't technologically inferior, they just had no need to advance in fields that they could use their own theories to replace. Secondly, this meant Dyon might be able to gain an advantage if he combined his commoner education with their knowledge. Him not necessarily needing to read higher level theory books on plants might just be the first instance of this. 
Before Dyon even noticed, 2 days had passed by before he finished speed reading the hundreds of books on common plants. This was when Dyon noticed a problem with his speed reading method. 
'I have all of this knowledge, but it isn't organized. It's almost like if I want to recall something, I have to close my eyes and "re-read" the hundreds of volumes I just went through to find the answer. This isn't good. The knowledge I've gained is useless like this.'
Frustrated, Dyon carried the books back to the wooden desk in sets of ten. 
'What a waste of 2 days. I'm tired as all hell and I smell horrible.'
Dyon had long since taken off his previously unbuttoned dress shirt and switched his rolled-up jeans for a pair of grey sweats, but he still felt uncomfortable. 
Dyon looked up as the monitor flickered, "you seem tired," Libro pinched his nose, "I can almost smell you from here. Go rest. I'll let you take the books on array theory with you."
Dyon flicked his wrist, too tired to answer. He created a new folder called 'array theory', and slotted the other set of hundreds of books into his storage bands. 
"What an interesting device. Doesn't seem very efficient though," Libro snickered. 
"Yea, yea, yea. I'm sure you know what problems I'm having; do you have a solution?"
"In terms of your need for rest and showers, those won't be resolved until you reach a higher cultivation level. Your brain's capacity is still too weak to go without rest. In terms of the speed reading technique, I'm sure a genius like you will figure it out," Libro smiled deviously. 
'I can't just give him all the answers, this is my family's secret technique after all. If I wasn't crystal glasses level, I'd be afraid of being killed for even thinking of giving him this technique. My only saving grace is that I didn't give him the full technique.'
Dyon sighed, "fine, I guess. Thank for your help, this would probably have been a lot harder without you". 
Libro was a bit surprised by Dyon's sincere thanks, but he took it in stride as he watched Dyon sluggishly head towards his dorm room.

On the top floor of the center pillar, the family heads met in a spacious office. 
Reminiscent of the ceremony hall, the room was filled with somber light. A fire place raged off to the right, flickering soft embers that lit the dark room. Drapes of maroon covered the large windows, resonating with the dark wood floor. A large desk partially hid Patia-Neva's figure as he faced away from the other family heads and towards the covered windows. 
The other family heads sat on black couches surrounding the fire place, letting silence reign the room. 
Kami was the first to speak, fury coating his words, "I won't let this stand. My boy still hasn't recovered. Disregarding the pain he's been in, the expense of the medicine needed to ensure these wounds would have no impact on his future is astronomical." 
"Don't act rashly Kami. If your boy hadn't tried to kill the commoner, he would have never suffered," Patia-Neva's voice was understanding but firm. He couldn't allow Kami's hate to fester. 
"I don't care. Since when has the Kami family ever needed permission to kill? He'll pay for this humiliation".
Duco spoke, "don't forget why he gained the quota to perform in the first place Kami. The boy may be mediocre here, but he is of great value to the commoners. If they learn of him being killed, and especially so soon after coming to us, it will start a war."
"Duco is right, we have other issues to deal with. Warring with the commoners is not something we can afford, and it seems like the boy knows this. Plus, considering the dangerous missions Focus Academy's students undergo from the 4th grade onwards, he might just die naturally," Bai spoke out in agreement. 
Sapientia's light laughter filled the room in hopes of cutting through the tension, "from what I can garner, this boy might not continue to be mediocre for long," he said in reply to Duco's comment, "I see that our resident Librarian has already taken a liking to him."
"What?!" 
Kami's anger spiked. The importance of the library to this school couldn't be understated. If Dyon somehow managed to get Libro to his side as a mentor or friend, his progress would be much faster.  
"Not to worry Kami, Libro wouldn't break the rules of the academy… Although, it seems that Patia-Neva's daughter gave the boy access to the first 600 levels for a few hours," Delia's father stiffened at these words.
Kami sighed in relief. No one could do anything with just a few hours, even with access to 600 levels. 
"Eh, I wouldn't be too relieved if I were you. It seems like one of the techniques he learned was my clan's speed reading technique."
"Learned? Don't play with us Sapientia. You just said he only had a few hours, what do you mean learned. And such a high level technique at that?" Storm said, breaking his silence. 
Sapientia sighed, "It seems he has quite some affinity for my clan's techniques."
Kami's fists tightened. 
In reality, it seemed odd for experts of their stature to be so concerned with a boy. Their surprise had been minimized when they remembered their background check on Dyon. When it came to how powerful his music will was, it was explained away by considering how long he had played the piano for; so, his feats were less impressive than they seemed to be. But, they felt he might become a threat in the future. The worst part was that they didn't have the time or means to deal with him now. And plus, aside from the looming threat of war with the commoners, it was taboo for the older generation to mingle in the affairs of the younger. 
Patia-Neva's voice rang out, "the larger school alliances are putting too much pressure on us. We may have many promising geniuses in this generation, but past years have only had maybe two or three. If we want this school to survive, and thereby secure the future of our families, we shouldn't be ostracizing geniuses. The boy is intelligent. It wouldn't be difficult for him to find out that there would be other schools willing to recruit him. We are lucky that he fell within our Focus district. I suggest we move away from a plan to stifle him ourselves. The students of this school will be more than enough to do that. That way, if he succeeds despite that, we have a genius. If he fails, then we'd have gotten rid of a problem. We have other matters to attend to, such as preparing our families' geniuses for the Alliance Ranking Tournament and..."
Although Patia-Neva didn't speak the last parts of his thoughts, the other family heads knew fully well what he was referring to. 
Aside from this, the truth was that the family heads only directly acted against Dyon because it was the easiest and most direct way. If he was embarrassed into leaving without them having to lift a finger, it would have been their best-case scenario. They had no way of guessing he'd have met Delia to give him access to the library, or even that he'd be able to learn what he learned in such a short time. 
Kami swallowed his anger, choosing to believe his son would get his own revenge. 
As the pressure in the room subsided, the family heads nodded in resolve. It wasn't worth it to act themselves. They knew that Dyon would be slowed by his own lack of resources. In fact, he might not even be able to afford a decent cultivation technique since the one demonstrated in the coming classes would be the most basic and crude version possible. 
And even in the case that he did persevere through all of this and become a great expert, if he joined one of their families, it could just be used to bolster their power. 
In addition, they had already had Sapientia perform a mind wiping. Only the chosen, Libro and the family heads knew of what took place in the ceremony hall. This way, no teachers would bend over backwards to raise Dyon as their disciple, the family heads could avoid embarrassment, and the chosen would have the motivation to remain far ahead of him. 
Even the family heads didn't know what calamities lay ahead of them. All they knew was that power trumps everything. And right now, they didn't have enough of it.

"You're too arrogant."

To Dyon, it seemed as though these words were heard all the time.

However, how could these people possibly know of all his hard work? Of the fact that sleep was but a distant relative of his. How could they know that he never had a single moment to rest. 

And yet, despite their ignorance, they still said, "you're too arrogant..."

But where were those people when a five-year-old Dyon's eyes shone looking at a computer screen filled with code? Where were those people when an eight-year-old Dyon played his piano and plucked his guitar strings until his fingers bled... needing to vent his feelings about his lost mother without bothering his fatigued father? Where were those people when Dyon sat alone at ten-years-old… when his parents were gone, and the only thing left was a room filled with inventions and computers?

Dyon's arrogance wasn't borne of thin air. It was his hard work. It was his shield. And he wasn't willing to give it up...

Now alone, he left his home behind. 

He was no longer the boy genius who changed the human mortal realm. He was now nothing but a commoner, a bug noble families saw fit to step on. An insignificant existence. 

And yet, Dyon was still the same unchanging person. Standing tall, his eyes firm and his will indomitable.  

This so-called Martial World would come to understand the meaning behind his existence...

Dyon smiled, 'it seems like she's been watching from afar for a long time… it must be lonely being in that room with Libro all the time.'

Dyon felt a delicate hand playing with his collar, "the truth is that I'm always playing the gentle big sister role, mostly because I have no idea how much longer I'll have the chance to…"

The vulnerability in her voice made Dyon tremble. Madeleine was so strong, yet it seemed even martial artists had their weaknesses too.

"So why does an arch demon say that you´re his master?" I asked Clair. 

Here I am, in a luxurious kitchen with an ex-slave, an enigmatic being and an arch demon. 
Why am I in such a situation? 

Oh, right the answer is, because on a whim of the enigmatic being. 

Not even two months ago, everything was alright, I was a normal teacher at Turon Academy and my daily life consisted teaching and reading my books. 
I don't have a boyfriend, because most men are either too stupid or ugly. The good looking ones are muscle brains and the intelligent ones, would break like a stick if I hug them with a little strength. 

And then at the last day of the entrance exam I´ve met her. 
A young pretty elf girl, looking cute and fragile. I couldn´t have been more wrong. 

I was a little stunned as she said that she´s able to cast magic without chants, but other elfs in my home town can do the same. They are not as young as this girl but still able to do it. 
She then asked me, if I could write a spell for her. I seriously thought she is mocking me. 
But she said she don´t know any spells. So I gave her a Tier 5 spell, not expecting her to cast it. 

Against my expectations, she was able to cast it and came in my class, one of the highest ranked classes within the whole school. 

The first school week was a little noisy, as expected, I got a lot of comments about an elf girl with silver white hair. 
They said she´s a genius or something like this. I was happy, a new fighting power in our school tournament. But then she came to my house. 

Asking me if I want to be a magic tutor for an elf girl and life with them in her mansion. I was not against it, but I used this opportunity to get a few questions answered by her. 

But the following... I did not expect that. 
She told me that all of her skills are on LV 10, 10! the rank of gods. 

The next thing happening, was me fainting, how embarrassing. 

I woke up, in my own bed with a smoking hot elf guy right next to me. I panicked and began to conjure an attack spell, but my mana suddenly dispersed. 

And that the hot guy changed into Clair,... he transformed. 


Clair showed me her status, I looked over it, not believing, what I saw, when I looked once more, I still couldn't believe it. It took me five minutes to accept everything, except the attributes, they are just too high. 

She gave me a rune which stops me from telling something about her and answered my questions. 

And if it´s true what she said, then this is a great opportunity, to gain new pieces of information about a lot of things. 

I agreed to her terms, I´ll teach the girl magic and live with them in Clairs new house. 
And in return, get a lot of new books and a chance to learn new things. 

I think I was still stunned, but I did not think over the coming events and simply went to sleep after that. 

The days after that were... impressive, Clair was able to bring the headmaster to teach her magic up to the tenth Tier, build a whole mansion out of nothing and her cooking is godlike, if there weren't so much chicken. 

She eats it almost every dinner. 


This elf girl, Ilza is her name, was rescued by Clair, she´s an ex-slave. 
She has good manners but worships Clair almost as a god. Okay, I also begin to think about her more as a god like being then a girl or man or whatever she is. 
Clair has done something with Ilza and she´s now able to learn much faster than normal. I wanted the same thing, but Clair said I´ll only get it if I come with them after the four years. I think I will. 

She also employed a few maids, a gardener and a sword instructor for Ilza, they get a horrendous payment. 

Gerd, the sword instructor, is an S-Rank adventurer. He´s nice but underestimates Clair a little too much. He thinks she´s a normal young genius magician. But she also acts like one, at least she thinks that. No normal genius magician could build such a mansion. She said it was the work of her "brother" namely Dex, but she´s too good at school. I heard there already are fan clubs about her, many male students want to be her boyfriend and many female students want her as a little sister so that they can pet her. 

If they knew how Clair pets, they would ask to get petted. Seriously how good is she at petting, her maths teacher said she raped her desk neighbour by simply stroking her tail and I had to confirm her skills in the bath, on the hard way. She didn´t allow me to climax, it was a torture. 

She´s is nice to us, a little playful, perverted and likes to tease me with her "Dex" form. Not that I´m against Dex, he´s hot. 

But she also can be childlike, we were once on a walk, buying groceries and Clair spotted a playground. She said she´ll play, changed into a young male version and dashed to the sandpit. 

I could only sigh and sat down at a nearby bench. A few mothers came to me and asked me which child was mine. 

I couldn´t say that I´m only watching the children, so I pointed at "Dex junior" and the mothers began to chat about his cuteness.... 

She noticed my dilemma, smirked and walked over to us. She hugged me and said," Mom, can we go home?" her voice was overflowing with childish cuteness and the women began to scream in kyaa sounds and tried to hug him. 

She played the shy kid and hid behind me. Seriously she would be so perfect without her playfulness and partially brutality against her enemies. But no one is perfect and she doesn´t overdo it. 

And she matches my criteria, she´s strong, beyond believe, and intelligent. Friendly to us and other people in need and ruthless to people who may hurt her friends. She has a vast knowledge about science, biology, crafting techniques and many other things. 

She says that it´s mostly common knowledge in her world. 
I want to visit said world, but Clair says that it´s boring. 
I think a world without monster must be nice. 

I learned a lot about the women's puberty, as she explained it to Ilza, who´ve thought that we have iron and other things in us? 

She´s also rich, not that it is a large criteria, but it´s still good. 
Her female adult form is good looking, even though a little short. And her male adult form is hot, I mean seriously hot. I almost drooled as he walked next to me, as we bought the books. 

She held her promise and bought me books, more than I expected. I thought I´ll get at most 20 books, I mean they are expensive. But she bought over 7.000, a whole library. 
The mansions library is my favourite room, I love the smell of books. I think she built it just for me. 

Her male form is tall, slender but muscular at the same time, has a really, really good looking face, pretty green eyes and a voice... you feel like you´ll melt if you hear his voice. A deep voice with a soothing tone. 

Should I try to get him in my bed? I mean if he´s so good looking with clothes how does he looks without them? °Gulp° 

But it´s a little hard to live with her, she doesn´t have our common sense and almost everything she does is beyond said common sense, I mean Ilza said she built a whole village an afternoon. 

And at the beginning of this week she said she´ll visit the ground of the school dungeon. I´m at the point where I don´t complain anymore, she´s too broken for my normal thoughts. I don´t think of her as normal anymore. Then again was she normal from the begin with? 



A few students told me about the kidnapping attempt today, they met her in the dungeon and were stopped by 30 guys who were looking for her as they came out. 

30 guys are not enough if they want to kidnap her. Gerd thought otherwise. We were arguing as Clair came back, with a man behind her. 


Said man is the reason I recall everything of the last few weeks. 
Seriously, how broken is this girl, I mean an arch demon? One of the strongest beings on this planet? I still get the shivers when I think about it. 

True he doesn´t look like the demons out of the stories, but then again, it´s an arch demon. He must be able to change his form. He looks like a tall human with white hair. He has a good face, a little arrogant, but is polite when he speaks. 

I didn´t think much about it as he came inside with Clair. Standing right behind her, ready to strike at her neck. 

Surely even Clair wouldn´t be able to come out of a fight with an arch demon, at least not without grave injuries. She did say that she has beaten him, but that must have been a surprise attack. 


"Well I kinda freed him from a prison on the 100th floor," Clair said and brought me back to reality. 

"And master beat me to a limbless pulp," Drull said a little downhearted. 

"Ah yes and I beat him to a limbless pulp." She agreed. 

"A pulp?" I asked, not really getting what they mean. 

"Master cut my arms and legs off, left me alone and then came back, with a god in her pocket. All this in a few minutes, but she only took a few seconds for me" Drull explained, still downhearted. 

So she basically almost killed him and then found a god, okay.... 

"WHAT?!" I screamed and Ilza put her hands covering her ears. 
"You´ve beaten an arch demon in a few seconds and found a god?" I still screamed but not as loud as before. 

"Yes, it´s the god of space and void. And I used a skill, which doubles my stats." Clair said like she thinks it´s a normal thing to do. 

"Who is the god of space and void?" I asked, trying to get my posture back. 

"I´m able to conjure things out of nothing, thanks to him. He created the existence and I think the other gods filled it with things." Clair explaind. 

"So you have the god, who´s the reason for our exsistence in your pocket?" I asked. 

"Yes," Clair 

"Then why don´t you release him?" Me 

"Because he was sealed, he tried to destroy the existence and the high elfs sealed him," Drull said. 

"Who are the high elfs?" I asked. I´ve never heard of this race. 

"They are the forefathers of the elfs, they used their power to create the seal and their children became elfs." Drull further explained. 

I sighed, rubbed my temples and asked, " and what do you want to do with him?" 

"I´ll keep him in my inventory, he can´t do anything in there and I don´t want to kill him, risking the destruction of the existence," Clair said. 

"That explains your dungeon adventure but why are you his master?" I asked again. 

"Please let me explain," Drull began, " master fulfilled my conditions for a master-servant relationship. He did me a great favour, which I can´t pay back and has beaten me one-sidedly. 
So following my conditions, I´m now masters servant, as long as he lives or want me at his side." 
and finished with a bow in Clairs direction. 

So she got herself a butler. 

"I think I understand, please don´t do any trouble for us or Clair." I said, resigned.

I have never been at the same school long. In kindergarten I was in one school. Then in 1st I moved to a different school. In 2nd I went to another, and in 3&4 grades I went the same school. In 5th I went to the same school as kindergarten. In 6th I went to an IB and in 7&8& currently 9th, I went to a really good school that everyone in the city wants to go to. 

I wasn't all that upset at switching from the IB to my current school because I could be in the current school until I graduate high school. But around 6th grade I learned the lesson that karma was trying to teach me, but I went about correcting the mistakes the wrong way. 

I shut my self down. I slowly closed my self off. Turned into an introvert. I went from that dirty minded, wild, fun, moody girl to a closed off, shy, quiet, book loving, heartless and cold girl. It was hard. In 6th grade I wasn't that bad, but when I transferred to 7th it got really bad. I couldn't even make eye contact. It was awful. I would stay away from everyone and read my book. I would get lost in my own mind. Even to this day, my mind is my safe spot. I started to call myself, the new me; and the wild girl, the old me.

Even when I was the old me, I always loved books. I love getting lost in a story that makes me feel like I'm on a cloud. I like to call it book drunk. When I get book drunk, I barely register what I'm doing. Like a robot. I get good grades from memorizing what's taught and stuff, but I barely notice it. I sit there in class and think about my book and fantasy's. It's a wonderful feeling. 

In 8th grade I made a really good friend, I call her Kimmy; as in Kimmy Gibler. My step mom came up with it because Kimmy always acts like Kimmy Gibler from Fuller House. Sure I had friends in 7th grade, but the only thing we had in common was the Harry Potter books so I distanced myself from them. To be honest, they were boring to me. Like I care about make-up, boys, and all that junk. To me that's all useless.

My birthday is in the beginning of the year, it sucks because I'm always one of  the oldest; either at home or at school. I never get a break. Well anyways, a few days before my birthday I entered this amazing world. I slowly became an otaku! Today I am really deep in the otaku world. I opened the doors of yaoi, the hardcore and softcore. I have no regrets.

Kimmy doesn't understand me at all. She is really strict with her religion and she has really strict parents. She thinks yaoi is gross, it's infuriating. But I just learned to stop bringing it up. She locked the doors yaoi and threw away the key.
