Upon hearing that the story was such a big event ask the people in the bar were shocked. It was a common story in the country but as the city was very far from the capital where all the news and stories were common the information didn't travel very far. Therefore people in this part of the country didn't know much of the story. There was a need for a proper news regulation in the country which would help the news to spread to all parts of the country but no one bothered about it.

The old man stated the reason for the leader of caput familia to become a criminal which was the incompetence of the second leader for not knowing much about politics and maintaining the country as all the leader knew was about military and as a result there was not much of a change in the way the people lived. The poverty was high the crime rate was at the peak and the police was not able to act properly as even the politicians had some gangs which the police didn't want to offend. The country was in the worst period since the formation of republic.

One of the people listening asked " why did the people not select another person as the leader of they needed a change?"

The old man replied "it is not that they didn't want to select a new leader but the second leader wanted power even if he didn't know how to control it so he killed any person who tried to stand against him. He used to be a good person but entering the politics changed him and it influenced him to become evil"

"The people were thinking that their current life was not much different from their life under the monarch and the newer generation which didn't know about the life under the monarch thought that the life was hell for them."

Then the old man paused and said "That all changed the day the son of a politician was thrown from the to of the tower of lux"

After saying that the old man saw that the Sun was about to rise and planned to leave the bar. Everyone in the bar were cursing in their heart that the old man stopped the story at such an interesting point. But no one had the guts to say it out loud. 

The old man gave the child a book and went on his way.

The child was the son of the bar owner who gave importance to studies and hence the child was thought how to read and write. He was one of the few 100 people who could read and write. The number of children who could read and write in the city could be counted on a single hand.

As there was no one to teach it was hard for others to learn. As the bar owner was educated in a larger city nearer to the capital he learnt how to read and write. The old man didn't know this. as he was from the capital he thought it was common for everyone to know how to read and write when he gave the book.

Later the bar was closed and everyone went home. The child read the title of the book which read "The Unrest during the reign of miles"

My writing quality and I know it is not upto standards and many readers are finding it hard to read due to grammar. For grammar I have no excuse and for spelling as I use smartphone to write and that some spelling mistakes are made, during the process of writing or due to auto correction and I have tried to edit them but some just don't get edited in official version.

Usually I read Machine translation of novel and many are raw version of novels in Webnovel. As I became curious to know about the latest developments and I can say I have got used to reading them and enjoy it.

The answer is, that is common sense of how other magic uses cultivat but because Kai is not following the common method and basically skip magic apprentice stage and
I use it to explain the difference between others and Kai way of cultivation.

#Why is Kai able to make such decisions in starting chapters and is his memory so strong?
Answer to that is Kai father knowledge and wisdom which he shared with Kai.
As a hunter who lives in a dangerous world close to forbidden forest. He has some general knowledge of behaviour magic beasts and share it with Kai and he use this knowledge, wisdom, incomplete mage root to trace magic power left behind by to survive

As expected, Lucien did not find anything specially useful in the following four hours before he fell asleep. He read about ten pages, but most of them felt like independent words instead of meaningful sentences, probably because so many words in the notes about magic were really uncommon.

For sure Lucien had his own guesses of the meaning of some of them. But it was magic. He had to be more than careful before actually taking actions. Lucien did not want to die because of a stupid misreading mistake.

Fortunately, the previous owner of the notes treated it also like a diary. Some of her thoughts and experiences were written down as well. For this part, the witch used common words and grammar, from which Lucien managed to know the history of those magic notes, or say, books.

The witch was born in the last sorcerer family of the destroyed ancient Sylvanas Magic Empire. Her family hid into their old castle deep into the mountains to avoid the church’s slaughtering, ever since Aalto was taken over. But after hundreds of years there, the population of the family declined dramatically. In the end there were just three left: the witch and her parents.

The witch’s parents died in an accident when they tried to summon a creature whose name Lucien was not able to read. Then the witch became an orphan and she inherited two magic books: Astrology and Magic Elements; and Common Magic Related Materials Illustration.

Lucien wished the notes were relatively complete so he could understand it, otherwise he would have to learn the dying Sylvana’s language which, so to speak, was impossible.

Almost all of the jobs Copper Cornet could offer were under the control of the Aaron gang. Lucien lost his job again. He had to dig into his savings recently to support himself.

But it was also nice that Lucien could seize the chance staying focused on his study, as well as avoiding the possible revenge from the gang. Joel was still playing on the busy streets in the administrative district, while Alisa was doing laundries for the association. Both of them were relatively far from the market area, where the Aaron gang tyrannized the most.

They all agreed that Lucien still ranked first among them regarding being in danger. They warned Lucien not to leave the city, not to go to anywhere deserted, and even told him to be alert during bed time in case some bastards tried to burn down his shack.

So, after washing his face and finishing his hard brown bread softened in boiling water, Lucien felt there was nothing for him to do.

But the feeling did not last more than a minute. Soon Lucien went outside and found an open field. He started to practice sword with a wood stick following John’s direction. Lucien longed for strength to protect himself, even though he knew his training was too late. John told Lucien that after sixteen years old, the chance of a person being Blessed was very slim, close to none, unless he received the Holy Light Water from the church.

Lucien also kept Jackson’s dagger handy, in case of any danger. 

After practicing, Lucien went back home. It was nine o’clock in the morning. The sun in the sky just started showing its real power. Taking a short rest, Lucien opened his books again and started reviewing. He was much more diligent and self-disciplined than ever before.

“You have never really learned these before?” Victor asked with great surprise, “None of them?”

Lucien’s progress was more than impressive. He answered all the questions perfectly and fluently. He even asked some questions he found in spelling, which most students could not notice at all until they started having  a solid foundation. With just one day study, Lucien had almost caught up with his classmates, Colin and Renee. The two students from common background had been studying here for more than three months.

Was Lucien a genius? Or just a liar. The students were guessing.

“I swear I have not, Mr. Victor. We’re already speaking common tongues in our lives, aren’t we? I can’t read, but I know the connections between the letters and sounds are more important. I used my imagination.” Lucien explained. He wanted people to believe he was just smart, instead of regarding him as an incomprehensible monster, which would possibly bring him trouble.

For sure Lucien did not tell him about the library. 

Victor nodded and smiled approvingly, “Good, very good. You’re gifted in learning language.”

Lucien was envied by most students in the class. Hearing Victor’s commendation, Lott and Felicia, who had been learning from Victor for five years, exchanged a look. 

“It sounds pretty useful.” Felicia nodded slightly with her hands crossed over her lap. As a noble girl, she always sat straight.  

Lott was about to shrug his shoulders, but was stopped by the thought that the gesture might not look elegant. Facing Felicia, his long time competitor, Lott tended to be more careful.

“The poor speak the common tongue as well. They just don’t know how to spell and read. It’s always better than starting from scratch, isn’t it?” He also added, “Even if they learn it, it won’t be much useful for learning music.”

“I have my own idea for learning music, not like you.” Felicia responded sharply, “You’re gifted, but gift cannot last long. If I were you, I’d spend more time on practicing instead of fooling around with girls.” She then looked at Lucien. “Even the poor guy, if he starts learning music he will probably do a better job than you.” She smiled with her bright beautiful teeth.

All the classmates believed that Lucien wanted to become a musician. They did not know the actual simple reason why Lucien chose Victor as his teacher. In the eyes of the common folk, choosing a teacher represented one’s future path. For example, if a person wanted to be an official in the town hall or the court, he or she would definitely choose scholars with law or history background, instead of a musician.

But all careers needed to be recognized by nobles. Only then it would indicate real success.

“If he’s better than me, he’s better than you, Felicia.” Lott sneered.

Felicia was about to say more, but noticed Victor was looking in this direction. She raised her hand and tidied her red hair, then lowered her head and went back to her studies.

Victor started speeding up Lucien’s learning. Soon they finished the rest of the spelling rules and moved to basic grammar, which was exactly what Lucien was expecting.

Friday, the last day of Lucien’s study this week.

After a few days’ learning, Lucien had mastered most of the grammar. Were it not for lacking vocabulary, Lucien could even start learning magic now. He had made a big progress with the magic notes as well, in which the witch explained why she came to Aalto:

“Along with the increase in my spiritual power, it has become harder for me to immerse myself in meditation… Shall I try the meditating the way only real sorcerers can?”

“It was too dangerous. I almost died. Perhaps I should improve the apprentice meditation based on my experience.”

……

“I got lost, completely. No wonder all the great seniors didn’t make any improvement. I’m too shallow, too arrogant.”

“Even the magic structure of the first level is too complicated. I can’t find a way to build the magic mark model. It’s driving me crazy… I have the potion already, but without the model I can’t move forward to be a real sorceress!”

“I don’t know… maybe I should try to make a potion of ‘Magic Gate’. It contains a level-one magic in it. Perhaps I can make it this way.”

“I need Snow Gorse… Maybe I should go to Aalto. It’s the biggest city on the west continent. There’re also many hidden sorcerers and sorceress. It’s dangerous, but I shall still have a chance.”

So far, that was all Lucien could read from the notes. He was very curious about her experience in Aalto, but decided to finish the remaining few pages later tonight.

Today Lucien also wanted to borrow a common tongue dictionary and put it into his library. If everything went well, Lucien could start learning magic on the weekend.

His heart was full of hope.

Soon Throzahk ordered again [GO! Study… it will be necessary for you to be of use… you can take the tome and sit here if you need] with this the skeletal acolyte took Jiagoss's tome and began to walk towards the archives.

Seeing this Throzahk uttered [interesting… most interesting indeed…] and he then returned to the egg, and put his ghostly arm on the shell, and began chanting something inaudible to the skeletal acolyte, while a strange light covered the room, blinding the skeletal acolyte.

"Hmmm…. I wonder what that was… hmmm… even if I knew… no matter… yesss… proper draconic… after all… that's what a proper dragon would do… yesss… yesss…." Thought the skeletal acolyte, now that he chosen hi growth path, he fancied himself close kin to dragons.

Then suddenly the mystical light dimmed down, and he could hear Throzahk's voice, it was something uttered in draconic, so he gave no importance to it, if his master needed him, he would be called and he would answer the call. 

The journey to the archives was once again filled with temptation, yet the skeletal acolyte resisted it even more easily, it seemed that he had grown accustomed to the scenery of the hallway, the runes no longer looked so bewitching to him.

When he arrived at the archived to the archivs, he sat on the floor near the entrance, and resumed his reading, a few pages back where he had been unexpectedly interrupted by his master's calling.

He soon found the pages where he had seen the Latin alphabet "Hmmm… Tua lux illvminabitvr me, Dominvs noster! Lvx Sacrae!..." said the skeletal acolyte in his mind, he felt a slight discomfort for a few moments, but nothing happened, nothing came from the incantation recited by the acolyte.
"hmm… I feel tired… yet I don't feel like I need to sleep… wonder why… yesss…. yesss" thought the skeletal acolyte, the sensation of tiredness made him feel sluggish and heavy, he then tried to shrug off the slime like feeling by reading more.

Jiagoss's tome went into great detail explaining the Latin phrases, it looked like Latin was known as common in this world, it was something that the masses used to trade, talk and a myriad of thing that had no need for the use of such a noble language like Draconic, the disdain flowed from the letters towards the reader, it seemed like Jiagoss thought that the only 'proper' language was Draconic, the tome even stated that incantations and spells on Common were lesser and paltry versions of the proper magic, poor imitations of the real stuff.

The skeletal kobold felt that Jiagoss's statements were somewhat correct, however he still felt that Jiagoss thinking was flawed, if someone was able to cast spells with Common, then they should be taught to cast in Draconic, he then continued to read, and found even more exercises  and more complex formations for proper spell casting both in common and draconic, then after passing the last passages of Common, Jiagoss's explained the more complex rules of the Draconic tongue, after each page was read the skeletal kobold felt a strange sensation and soothing sensation, it filled his head after each page was turned.

Soon the pages were being turned faster and faster, the sensation became clearer and clearer, and then he reached the final page of Jiagoss's tome, he was expecting the immediate ringing of the mechanical voice in a monotone announcement, yet it hadn't come, all that he was met with was silence.

"well I didn't expect it to would be so easy to learn… let alone just after reading the basic lections just once… well… that's to be expected… sort off… yesss… yesss…" thought the skeletal kobold, who proceeded to read the tome once again from cover to cover, repeating the process, practicing the phrases both in common and draconic, but the announcement hadn't come for the draconic language nor had it manifested for the Common tongue. 

"Am missing something… yesss, yesss… I am missing something… there should be more books… scrolls… something containing more knowledge… yesss… yesss…." Thought the skeletal acolyte, angered at his ignorance, but still unwilling to give up as he stood up carefully placing the tome on the floor.

After he left Jiagoss's tome on the floor, the skeletal acolyte began exploring the archives carefully, combing through each of the shelves that had even one tome, most of them were of no use to him presently, as the tomes titles were related to mana cores, runic scripture, manipulation of minor mana circuits, mystic rituals, theurgy and the divine, however he found two very interesting things, the first one was a truly bulky tome, it was at the least four times thicker than Jiagoss's Basic Lections, deep blue was its cover, written by Damos of Belthiod, and the second a scroll similar to a papyrus, that was attached to the tome of Damos of Belthiod, its contents were written in a different yet similar language to draconic, the runic scriptures looked more refined, and a more spectacular power seemed to come from them.

The kobold Acolyte was carefull in detaching the scroll from Damos's tome and placing it on top of Jiagoss's tome.

"Damos of Belthiod… A complete teaching in draconic and further studies on elder speech…. I wonder… may… may it be that there is something like elder draconic?... well it is possible… considering the evolution that English and Spanish had… yesss… better… stronger… yesss…" thought the skeletal Kobold, remembering the drastic changes that both of those languages had suffered in order to become the languages that he once knew.

"Hmm considering that lesser draconic has no power nor strength to its runic letters and that draconic scripture flows with strength… but this one… it feels even more powerful… yesss… yesss… me likey… yessss" thought greedily the skeletal acolyte, he was now filled with greed comparable to a very avaricious merchant.

"Let's get into it then… yesss" with that thought in mind the skeletal acolyte carefully moved the tome's cover aside, revealing the same runic letters that were contained on the scroll, however these were written in a way that made them look crooked, this wall of runic text was followed by Draconic and lower draconic, it seemed that the author had tried to find similarities between the three languages, the following pages were filled with the ruminations of the Damos, he had considered that the current form of draconic, the one that so many like Jiagoss had deemed the 'proper' draconic, was nonetheless a degraded form, lost to time and useless traditions were many of the works that had been written in what he dubbed Elder Speech.

To Damos, this was the one true root of language, the unaltered and raw source of Mana manipulation, the thing of myth, the spring from which the many tongues had spread, the skeletal acolyte found this intriguing, he willingly ignored the soothing sensation that came after each passage was read, powering through them at an astonishing speed arriving at one part where Damos had begun to create exercises on the three tongues and explained what he thought were the simplest of rules of Elder Speech, however for the skeletal acolyte they seemed quite the complex and mystical thing.

After he had succeeded in recreating the rules of Elder Speech in his mind, and in engraving them on his memory, he continued reading the hefty tome, however things kept becoming harder and harder, he had to read twice and thrice some passages for him to engrave in his mind the rules that Damos had considered as simple rules, and after reading at least three hundred pages he arrived to the middle of the tome, he had become mystified by the thing, and an unnatural obsession was born in him.

The skeletal kobold repeated the process thrice, and each time he ignored the soothing sensation, it seemed to lull him into complacency and lazyness, however he succeeded in his task, engraving in the process the knowledge contained in half of the tome.

"This… This… it is harder than I thought… yesss…. But I must succeed… yesss… after all even as an undead I'm close kin to dragons…. Yesss…." Thought the skeletal kobold, he had begun to dismiss that his form had been chosen as a form of entertainment for gods that he didn't know even existed before being brought to where he know was.

Then he began reading the other half of the tome, this was even harder than the previous one, the three tongues suddenly became one, and Damos explained that this was the natural order of things, as Elder Speech, he thought, was the language originally spoken by the elder dragons, most of which had disappeared when he had written his tome, and by this part of the tome, the runic letters suddenly turned elegant and grandiose, and the exercises proposed by Damos came to be written all in Elder Speech, and so was most of the second half of the tome.

And then the skeletal acolyte repeated the process until all of the rules and words filled his mind, then suddenly it finally rang, but this time it had come with thunderous noise, and the Acolyte was pulled from his trance by the announcement.

"Holy hell! That made me tremble… well no matter… I understand that I would learn Draconic… but Elder Speech? Hmmm interesting… yesss… yess… but now it seems that I only have one language… I wonder if I will be able to speak the many languages that came from this one… or not… until I speak with someone that does not speak draconic I won't know….",  thought the Kobold Acolyte, intrigued and prideful at the suspicious speed with which he had learnt the language, it was after all not a common thing to learn any language so easily he thought.

Yet he had heard the announcement made by the mysterious system "Hmmm… with this of gods and all… I wonder… does everyone know about this status stuff… maybe Throzahk knows… yesss…. After all him and his spooky arm nonsense!" said internally the skeletal Acolyte "Never mind that… Let's learn more… yesss… Yesss…" said the acolyte in his mind, then he began reading the contents of the scroll.

"Ravenclaws, follow me! The dormitories are this way," said Robert Hilliard, the Ravenclaw prefect, as he led the first years to the common room. "The Ravenclaw common room is very simple to find you see," said Robert with a friendly grin, "All you need to do is remember where the Ravenclaw tower is, and that, is a very hard thing to forget."

"Unless you lose your way while heading towards the tower," said Penelope Clearwater, the female prefect of Ravenclaw. "But that's ok, just call for one of the ghosts, they'll be happy to help."

They walked up a spiral staircase located on the fifth floor and continued until they saw a door without a doorknob or keyhole. Instead, a bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle decorated the center of the door. A cold female voice called out the moment Robert stepped in front of the door.

"Of the three colors, red, green, and blue, what would provide the brightest hue?"

Robert have a grin.

"As you can see, we Ravenclaws do not use a password to enter our common room. Instead we need to answer a riddle or question. Also, don't worry when someone else gives a different answer than you. There is never only one answer, as long as it makes sense you'll be let in."

One of the boys raised his hand.

"Yes? What is it- er- Terry?"

"Yes, um, what happens if we can't answer the riddle?"

Robert smiled even more at the question and answered eagerly. "Well you have to wait until someone who can arrives. You learn that way you see." 

Robert looked around at the students. "So anyone wanna give the question a go?"

There was dead silence as each and every first year hesitated to take up the challenge. Robert let out a knowing smile.

"It's ok, I was like you all my first year at Hogwarts, shy and inexperienced, you all will soon get used to it."

Penelope gave them all a warm grin before nodding her head in agreement, "Robert has a point, you all will learn many things at Hogwarts. Anyways, let's go in shall we? The answer is-"

"The colors blue, red, and green can hold a multitude of hues making it difficult to see which one is the brightest, however, when mixing all three colors together, you shall receive white, which undoubtedly is the lightest."

"Well reasoned."

The two prefects and the remainder of the first years stared dumbfounded as a black haired boy with a listless expression and a black bird opened the door and headed in.

"Who. . . . Was that?" Asked Robert with a confused grin etched on his face.

All the first years slowly shook their head. They all entered through the door and found the boy standing listlessly in the middle of the room.

The Ravenclaw Common Room was a very airy room. It was a wide, circular room and graceful arched windows that punctuated the walls. Blue and bronze silks hung from the ceilings and walls while a midnight blue carpet covered in stars decorated the floor in a ring shape, which was also reflected onto the domed ceiling. The room was furnished with blue tables, chairs, and a divan. Next to the door leading up to the dormitories stands a tall statue of a lady made of white marble.

The sound of wind whistling around the windows of the tower hummed in a soft and gentle tune and portraits of famous Ravenclaws covered the walls.

There was a small library located in a niche within the common room, and for its modest size, held quite the number of books.

"You there- first year boy-"

Arth slightly tilted his head as Robert, Penelope, and the remainder of first years caught up to him.

"Mm?"

Penelope lent a hand towards Arth. "Nice to meet you first year, what's your name?"

"Arthur," he replied before observing the common room once more.

"You seem to be pretty smart, it's nice to have you Arth," said Robert with a grin.

"Mm."

Robert gave Arth a look before facing the remaining first years. 

"Welcome to the Ravenclaw common room. Dormitories are upstairs, girls to the left, boys to the right. All the books you see on the shelves are yours for the taking, unless someone else has already claimed it. Meet up at seven thirty tomorrow in the morning at the Great Hall. Terry called out to Arth. "You said you were Arthur right? Nice job on solving the riddle, I was clueless on what the answer was."

Arth nodded barley paying attention to his words.

Terry noticed this and frowned before facing the other boys.

"What are you guys planning on doing?"

Michael yawned. "I'm feeling kinda sleepy. Might hit the bed."

"Same, I'm tired as house elf."

"I haven't slept since yesterday, was too excited to sleep."

"What about you," asked Micheal, glancing at Arth, "What are you going to do Arth?"

Arth glanced at the small bookshelf.

"Read."

Michael gave Arth an unpleasant look, "Have fun then. Oi, let's go check out the beds."

"Sure, let's leave him alone. It seems like he doesn't want to talk to us anyways."

The boys sent frowns towards Arth before heading up the stairs. Arth ignored their unfriendly actions and proceeded to check out the library. He soon found out that many of the books there were books that he had never read before.

Nodding in satisfaction, Arth pulled out a book and sat down at one of the tables. He turned on a lamp and started to read quietly, all the while Corvus quietly slept on his head.

He was the first pupil of Albus Dumbledore.

(before I start let me just say that I'm a novice writer and my grammar is a bit of whak. So forgive me for that if you find any mistakes pls let me know. as I'm pretty sure there's a lot of it 😁, and I'm writing just for fun by the way but please let me know what you have in mind any pointers and suggestions help well enjoy.)



Arc sat on his bed thinking of what he needs to do next, he picks up a pen and paper he writes a to-do list.

# 2 a permanent place to place his factory. The basement is not ideal for the long run.

Earlier when he built the factory he received a notification but ignores it because he was so happy and excited, now that he calms down. He opens the System and look at the mission page and saw a mission complete he clicks it on his mind. Another window appears that says rewards 50en and 1 lottery box.

He checks his energy reserved and 95en. He checked the storage page and saw the box icon that says random common lottery box...

I have the bigger picture with me and I'm still working with the outline and drafts. But, I will try my best to release more chapter a day or probably bonus chapters if this one does well in the ranking.
You may find it common or cliche or maybe u had read or watched something as similar, I'm not sure either but these were my ideas although there will be some common plot but I will make sure to avoid cliches stuff as much as possible. Stunned, Arya wondered if she was hallucinating. The voice was very familiar. Her mind was spinning; she thought he sounded like Ryu. Then it occurred to her that the anger she was feeling might just clouding her judgment.

She abruptly shook her head and declared, "It's okay, I can wait outside. Dress first and let's talk after that. Call the reception once you are ready."

She heard the man chuckle as if amused, a familiar sound that made her turned around. She gasped when she almost bumped into a man's wet chest.

"Um sorry, you sound familiar." She said slightly, bowing her head to hide her flushed face.

She felt the man's arm encircled her waist while she was abruptly pulled towards him.

He then leaned forward and scornfully whispered into her ear, "Aren't you here to negotiate? I was hoping you had a better offer."

Arya frowned and abruptly pushed the man, attempting to get away from him. Instead, she was pushed back until she could feel her back pinned against the wall.

She tilted her head to look up at the rude man and was left with open-mouthed looking at a familiar face.

She was shocked but mumbled, "Ryu?"

Ryu smirked and stared at Arya's slightly opened lips and said, "Did you miss me? How about this?"

Before Arya can utter another word, Ryu captured her lips abruptly and kissed her roughly.

Arya felt the familiar lips that were deeply probing hers. It was the familiar conquering lips that, for six months, she had missed terribly.

The kiss that made her legs weak. They trembled slightly. Butterflies fluttered from her throat down to her stomach, sending a shiver through her core.

This was the kiss she had been longing for her entire life.
