The story of a Comic Book Collector who is brought to a world where he finds out that he is one of the special people who can earn experience and level up to become a superhero.

Star Wars the Old Republic is one of my favorite MMORPGS of all time. I had sadly missed the launch, as I was during the time in my World of Warcraft days and spent all my time on that and work, but around the time Warlords of Draenor (one of the expansions to WoW) I felt tuckered out of the game. I had loved the story of World of Warcraft and during Warlords of Draenor, I realized I no longer liked the story that much. After the Lich King I felt that spark when questing start to falter, and my love for the story start to dwindle.
Around that time I picked up Star Wars the Old Republic and fell in love immediately. I quickly played through the game, and created a guild filled with friends. The times there were amazing, but sadly it didn't last too long. Very quickly the guild branched off to do other things, or just left the guild. Very quickly the guild turned into a group of seven friends. And at Alex and other people's want, we started playing other games like Call of Duty, League of Legends and more. Slowly the group left SWTOR, not picking it up again. Only two others of our group and I still played on and off again, that is, until Onslaught came out. I showed it to the group and wished for us all to play again like the good old days, this got most of them excited. I just felt glad I got some of the guild back together to play the game again.

"Alright bois, are we creating new characters or are we still gonna play with our old ones?" I said, taking command of the group like I usually did. 
A incoherent torrent of voices as everyone talked over each other responded frustrating me greatly. I mean come on, I almost always gotta tell everyone to not talk over people but no one seems to listen.
"Ok ok, one at a time... Mono, do you still have your character?" I frustratingly cried out in an attempt to organize the messy Discord call. It didn't help much, as I don't think anyone heard me, and the call took an uncomfortable amount of time quieting down. 
Exasperated, I asked once more just to test the waters of the call, my fingers crossed in hopes of things staying orderly, "Ok again, Mono do you still have your character?" 
"Yes, but I kinda want to make a new one. Relive the good ol' days y'know." Mono replied. 
 "Ooh!" Piped up Justin, the competitive one of our bunch, "Lets make a challenge or whatever of it! Half of us go Imperial and half go Republic, and compete to see who reaches the new Onslaught DLC first!" 
"Yeah!" Chimed in Sasha, "That would be a great idea! Dibs on Republic." 

After much discussion the teams were decided: Imperials were Alex, Mono, Brian, and myself, Jamie. Republic was Justin, Sasha, other Justin (nicknamed Biggie), and David. I then suggested to go to different calls so as to not interrupt other people's planning on how to go through the game, and everyone agreed so we all left.

Then came deciding everyone's class. I was fine with anything, but Alex really wanted to go the Inquisitor and Mono really wanted to go DPS. After some careful decision-making Mono chose the Imperial class, Brian wanted to try the Bounty Hunter class as he had not tried it before. That left me with the Sith Warrior. Not really a bad class, but best at tank. With roles set, we all went together to build our characters, which took a lot of time...

I ended up as a Pureblood Sith Male with the sides completely shaven off leaving only a large streak of black hair on the middle of his head, orange-red eyes, a harsh and sharp face to match the Sith bad boy aesthetic, a tall and bulky figure with deep red skin. The name I decided on was Kadon. 

Alex decided on creating a female character, which we gave him some flak for doing. His excuse was that "if I'm gonna look at an ass all game it better be a good one." His character ended up looking as a human female with straight black hair barely reaching her shoulders, clear gray eyes, pale white skin, soft and smooth facial features, and the average body figure option in the game. He named her Ashlynn, which gave me the feeling that he was creating a genderbent version of himself.. but that's his own business...

Mono chose a Male Cyborg with light-brown messy hair, light blue eyes, a youth-full teen face scarred on the right side of his face with two mechanical supports going through the bottom area of his cheek for the bottom of his jaw, a scrawny small figure with moderately tanned skin. He randomized until he found something suitable and this was the first preset that caught his eye. He chose to name his character Monochrome Robot, as a slight play on his name. I thought it was kinda funny, but no one really laughed except me when he announced the name...

Brian ended up with a Bald Male Rattataki with light blue (almost white) eyes, three small triangular pieces of jewelry embedded into his skin on each side starting from the middle of his cheek up to the bottom of his ear, a scar starting from just above where his eyebrow would be going down through his nose into the left side of his cheek, four long striped tattoos on the upper side of his head and two short stripes going down from the middle of his eyes. The name he chose was simply Guts. Only that name was already taken so I recommended he put some more z's to it and so he put Gutzz. That name was taken too. He kept on adding z's until it worked. It ended up being Gutzzzzzzzz. He wanted to look like a "badass" "seen some shit" stereotypical mercenary but wanted to try to be a bit different and original so added the stripes and jewelry.

With all our characters ready, we simultaneously clicked Play at my behest. Only, the game didn't start. Instead, the whole world faded into black...

A small group of friends decide to come back to Star Wars: The Old Republic and all make new characters... Only as they finish their character creation they are transported into the world of Star Wars! May the Force be with them.. This will follow the Warrior's story and be from his point of view. The Story will follow the class missions pretty linearly for a good while until I get more comfortable writing... I obviously don't own Star Wars: The Old Republic so all rights for Star Wars: The Old Republic goes to Bioware and their Overlord, Electronic Arts Inc. alongside Disney and Lucasfilm. Releases will be Monday with two chapters and Friday with three chapters around 2:00 Pacific Standard Time

The purple canopy of the sky was dimmer than usual, telling everyone that it was not yet dawn over the Plaguelands. However, Lu Li and those few with him knew that the time was soon coming. Therefore, Lu Li's promised forces needed to quickly take their places in order to be prepared for the coming battle.
"Rice Ball, open the portal!" Lu Li commanded, nodding his head.
Suddenly, a portal opened in a remote corner and more and more adventurers emerged from the portal.
"500 players. Is that enough?" Lu Li sounded like he had 500 more for Solomon. This frightened Solomon, who repeatedly waved his hand. "It's enough, it's enough. We don't have much time. We need to retreat as soon as we possess the box of potions. If we get discovered by Scourge's overhead units then we won't be able to escape."
"Hopefully there aren't any exceptionally powerful enemies." Lu Li prayed. Forget about all the people he brought — there'd be trouble if they faced a boss. During event season in the Plaguelands, any boss would be as strong as the best wild bosses and there was also a time limit on top of that.
"Don't worry, if there are any strong enemies, I would've already known of any yesterday. At worst, there will be a Lich. It could even be a bit more powerful than me. However, I'm not really suited to do any hands-on fighting," Solomon said, feigning self-confidence.
Even if Solomon was a hot-blooded aristocrat who wanted to quickly achieve more accolades, Lu Li knew that his so-called scout party yesterday was actually done by himself. As a result, Lu Li relaxed a little.
Solomon thought it would be one whose power was like that of a normal boss, and even probably on the weaker side at that. With Lu Li added in, dealing with a normal Boss wouldn't be too much of a problem. Lu Li, having brought many people with him also wouldn't have a problem clearing up small monsters.
If there was a boss, the rewards wouldn't just be potions; due to the seasonal event in Plaguelands, the boss might drop good loot as well.
Many players assembled together and killed some Elite Stitch-type monsters around the perimeter. There was a chance of dropping Dark Gold armour – one of the benefits of the event season. Once the 'Spreading Plague' event has ended, there wouldn't be any more of good drops.
 "Wait a bit, then as soon as we cross the bridge, we will engage the enemy. Deep Watersong, you will need to Taunt the Lich. Best Friend, get ready to taunt any other relatively fierce and strong enemies. Teams 1 to 20, lay low on the left side of the bridge. Teams 21 to 40, ambush from the right. Magicians and healers, station by the hill."
Lu LI rapidly barked out orders and commanded his army, which really changed Solomon's impression of him.
"What do I do then?" Solomon asked.
Solomon felt that with this sort of arrangement, they would pretty much be able to defeat a Lich at his level of strength.
"Um, sir, if we need you later, we will tell you. Right now, you and I can just stand by and watch." Lu Li couldn't really say much else. Solomon was a thief, a role which was considered relatively easy to kill. It'd be troublesome if Solomon was unlikely killed by a Lich.
A caravan leisurely rode up to the bridge. In the dim first rays of the morning sun, it looked to everyone like specks of Underlight.
That was the spirit fire of the Undead. The Undead horses were pulling the carriage with various Undead guards following them.
There were 4 vehicles in total. It felt like they were from the Hinterlands of the Plaguelands, so there weren't many Undead with them. There was a seat installed on top of the last vehicle and someone was sitting on it, holding a magic bone staff. The staff sparkled like jade, which grabbed people's attention.
A Lich!
During the time when Ner'zhul was the chief of the Draenor Horde, he once commanded many orcs, warlock and shamans to offer sacrifices.
Later, after the Draenor were exterminated, Kil'jaeden and his forces got hold of these evil creatures and turned them into twisted egos. They were the Lich, and they had extremely powerful magic and their immortal Undead bodies were controlled by Ner'zhul's will.
As such, the Lich displayed unwavering loyalty to their masters, and Ner'zhul imbued in them the essence of the Cold North. With their evil and enormous power, the Lich pledged their loyalty to their masters. When their great masters were too busy, they often acted as generals and representatives to command all their caravans.
The bodies of the Lich were deeply wrapped with the cold, dark power of the grave. They could use ice and frost magic with ease, as well as their natural ability of using spirit spells.
They abandoned the frail human body of this world for an eternal, undying body.
They would crave power, treachery and evil; they liked gorgeous scenery and they crafty schemes. They often wore the clothes of kings or priests, and had their subordinates address them with a powerful name.
Sometimes, the Lich would declare that Ner'zhul himself was directly endowing on them with abnormal power. They acted as if Ner'zhul was a god, and they were god-chosen priests and prophets.
Just like the enemy in front of them, he didn't only have a magnificent magic staff. He had clothes that were also particularly exquisite; the top was adorned with a number of gems. And on top of his head, sat a crown. If that crown were to be shown public, there would definitely be many greedy mages who would be willing to give up everything to have it.
In order to maintain this level of luxury, the Lich would often start battles against cities and towns of the living; they were like a Wyrm storing up their treasure.
Of course, not all Lich were powerful enough to cause massive destruction. The number of Lich had increased to expand the territory of the Scourge. Some might assume personal command and others may carry out special quests as their master's representative.
If the stitched monsters of the Plaguelands were feared by all, then when a normal player saw a Lich, they'd simply run away.
The event, 'Spreading Plague', was a battle between NPCs. However, players would still follow the fight to pick up leftover loot.
This Lich's name was Anglish. Lu Li didn't know where he came from and Solomon was equally clueless.
Anglish actually used to be a magic teacher in Dalaran. When he was 30, he was a strong intermediate magic teacher, and remained as such until he was 60. The old magic teacher had seemed to have almost given up hope on achieving great power.
He knew that as he aged his physical ability, memory and other parts of himself were weakening.
The God of Death had already touched him and left behind lines of wrinkles.
Anglish was cowardly and weak but he was also addicted to the world of magic. He knew that he was facing death, but he did not resign to it. He felt like he was on a spiritual journey, standing in front of a door. All he needed to do was push open the door and there'd be another world.
After a long time searching for answers, Anglish placed his hopes on Kel'Thuzad. Kel'Thuzad was a great mage, with much greater achievements than Anglish, and provided proof for another road humans could take.
However, transforming into a Lich wasn't an easy task. It was like a promotion for an Undead mage. If it weren't for a powerful person like Ner'zhul, Alsace or Kel'Thuzad who could offer it, then it would be impossible to transform.
At the time, Anglish was still teaching a dozen or so students. He betrayed his own students and sold their magic and souls to Kel'Thuzad.
It was by that time, that some might consider him mentally deranged.
Kel'Thuzad placed a spell on Anglish and performed a transformation ritual, transforming Anglish into a Half Lich.


He had never invested in shares or bought a lottery ticket, and neither did he have any experience in the general business industry. Lu Li found that the only thing he could do was play games. 

Luckily he had experienced rebirth, and was one step ahead of everyone else. Luckily, games had been developing extremely quickly, and there were many people who had become rich through playing games. 

In his ‘past life’, he had spent countless nights awake, in grief and anguish. However, although all of this had been washed away, so what…? This life, he was determined make a fierce counterattack against fate and stand at the very top!

North gate of Blackwood salt mine,
This place would usually be bereft of people except for the guard stationed there but quite a number of people were present tonight. As for the guard, he was sound asleep. He wouldn't  be waking up anytime soon no matter what happened.
The people present wore hooded robes to hide their identity. Everyone was waiting patiently for Mr. Collector to make his appearance. Except for Miss Mystique who kept on glancing around restlessly, no one showed any signs of nervousness. Big Joe stood beside her and made a mental note to teach the girl basics for appearing calm and collected so as not to be seen as easy prey.
Vincent looked at everyone. Besides him, Miss Mystique and Big Joe, six others were present. He knew for a fact that Mr. Grey was strong. Big Joe had an ability that allowed him to nullify shock, an unusual power. Vincent was quite interested about what supernatural the big man was. Mr. Eagle had an impressive speed and strength but hadn't used his other powers in the previous clash. These were everything he knew about the people present.
'I wonder what abilities Miss Mystique gained. She noticed me by herself today so I am sure that she is already a supernatural. The potion was expensive but she seemed very satisfied. Must be a potion with a very attractive power.'
Vincent's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of heavy footsteps. He looked over and saw Mr. Collector's two subordinates carrying a heavy chest. The master however was nowhere to be found. 
Mr. Grey waited for the duo to put down the chest and asked, "Where's Mr. Collector?"
"Master will be here soon." The short subordinate who always used the key to pick everyone up replied as he massaged his forearm.
The other subordinate unlocked the chest and opened it. The contents were hidden by a black cloth. Vincent was wondering what was below the cloth when Mr. Collector made his appearance. 
"Looks like everyone is here. I hope everyone completed their preparations." He walked to the chest and removed the cloth. Tools used for butchering were arranged neatly inside. The metal edges gleamed underneath the moonlight as if to show off their sharpness. "Let's get right to the task. We have to be done with the trolls and extract their core blood before half an hour. Anymore, and I am afraid the specialized police will be here."
Vincent wasn't surprised. If Mr. Collector could find out about this troll's nest, then so could the authorities. The monsters were usually eliminated by the specialized police department which was made up of supernaturals who worked for the kingdom. Cases such as this where unaffiliated supernaturals had the first move was rare. Monsters were full of valuable resources and the kingdom did its best to secure that the majority of it landed on their hands.
There were also cases where the specialized police used information regarding monsters as trap to lure and catch unaffiliated supernaturals. Vincent was more interested in knowing what the host had done to buy half an hour. From the little impression that he had of the man, he knew that Mr. Collector was meticulous.
The group made their way to the inside of the woods in a moderate pace. Mr. Collector led the way and the rest followed behind him carrying a tool or two that was originally inside the chest. Even Miss Mystique was carrying a large cleaver. The contrast between her appearance and the weapon made for a comical sight. 
Big Joe followed right beside her carrying a giant meat saw. He observed the people in front of him. This was his first time hunting a monster and he wanted to take in what everyone was doing. His focus was mainly on Mr. Collector and Mr. Grey. The former looked relaxed and had nothing different about him while the latter was giving off a sharp feeling. He stood out from the rest of the members and gave off a feeling of confidence and experience.
As for the last member who was supposed to be strong, Mr. Secret, still couldn't be read. He carried no tool from the chest and walked behind everyone in a leisurely fashion. The mask hid his entire face and it proved difficult to read him even on a superficial level.
Big Joe did feel a little uneasy because he couldn't make heads or tails out of this masked man but it also gave him a sense of security. Having a strong person with you was almost always a good thing. If things ever got rocky, the presence of a strong individual definitely helped a lot.
This was his first time participating on such a hunt and the presence of two high grade supernaturals put him at ease.  Mr. Collector had brought along two of his subordinates who were probably grade three and the master had bunch of artifacts. His strength should be in the upper tier even for grade 4 supernaturals. The masked Mr. Secret on the other hand was still as inscrutable as ever. His powers were a mystery, so was his grade.
 Joe wasn't even sure if the masked man was strong at all. He had the urge to test it but quickly chased the thought away. Though he was no expert in such things, he had seen enough of the dark world to know not to mess with things you can't see through.
Soon, the group were standing in front of a small rock formation. The structure seemed like a cave made from stones artificially. If not for the giant stones that weighed dozens of tons each, anyone observing it would say that it was made by humans.
"Is this really made naturally? Why does it look as if it's arranged symmetrically?" Miss Mystique as usual, couldn't suppress her curiosity and voiced out her thoughts. She was right. The structure did indeed look like a roughly made house.
"That, my dear Miss Mystique, is because it was made by a titan's child when he was playing around." Mr. Collector answered the young lady's question calmly. His words attracted everyone's attention. Such a sentence left everyone slightly shocked and unsure of whether the man was joking or telling the truth.
"But that can't be true. Aren't titans just a myth?" The curious Miss Mystique followed up with another question. Titans appeared on nothing but mythical stories from ages ago. Unlike other monsters whose stories still circulated around and words of their sighting occasionally turning up, titans were but the characters in epic sagas or tales.
Mr. Collector smiled sadly and answered, "If you ask the people in kindlewich about ghosts and vampires among other supernaturals, they would probably think of you as a young lady lost in the splendors of fantasy tales. But you and I both know that they are real and very much present among us. Why is it that Titans cannot be real just like any of us? Just because they aren't around right now doesn't mean that they didn't exist."
"Are you telling me that the tales of how they were born from the earth with each possessing magical powers is true?"
"Indeed. They were the very first life forms on earth and they populated this world. Their children all had magical abilities who in turn had their own offspring. This cycle continued with each generation being significantly weaker than the previous ones. The world was slowly stripped off of its magical properties until it became the one which you now know."
The young lady was fascinated by the tale. In the version she knew, Titans were but giants who lived before any humans roamed the earth and wielded unimaginable powers. They were portrayed as gods in many tales. Mr. Collector however told them as the creatures born from the earth itself, each possessing incredible abilities. But his words also bought a lot of questions into her mind.
"Did we also come from a long line of their offspring?"
"That is what I believe. Monsters are just the creatures who still retain their supernatural abilities. You could say that they are the original supernaturals and we are just fakes who got our powers through potions."
There was so much more she wanted to ask but now wasn't the time for such topics. They had limited time to get their work done and she didn't want to pull everyone down. As much as she wanted to know more about monsters and titans, she was looking forward to a supernatural battle even more.
The people present tensed up visibly as they made their final preparations, not even the experienced Mr. Grey was any different this time. Perhaps, it was because he understood just how dangerous the upcoming fight would be.
Mr. Collector took off his golden robe and in its place, donned a shabby piece of cloth. The article had blood red spots all over it and torn in many places. It looked like something taken off the corpse of a homeless man. The ends had loose pieces of fabric which danced like tentacles in the dark in an eerie fashion.

The city calls for you.
It spins a web around your vulnerable self. Lulls you into a cozy sleep and tightens its grip on you.
There is NO escape from the city.

The city of Kindlewich entices everyone with promises of riches and happiness. It harbors supernaturals with unimaginable powers while the masses remain ignorant. The strong prey on the weak and the weak exploit each other.

"Well I'm just here to visit you since you've been quite busy. Plus, everyone else is helping out with cleaning up the city after the fight." Shiro shrugged.
"So in the end you're bored and decided to visit your sister huh?" Keomi laughed.
"Basically." Lyrica sighed.
"Well why don't you try to do some dungeons? Isn't this the perfect time? You're almost level 100 and the princes are no longer overlooking the high level dungeons." Keomi suggested while sitting down.
"Hmm I suppose so. Well ignoring that for now, what are your plans now Keomi?" Shiro asked.
"I think I'm probably going to make my way back to japan and meet up with cousin. We need to see her remember?"
"Right, Yuki did say that didn't she?" Shiro nodded after a short pause.
In the letter that Yuki had given Keomi, she had mentioned that she sent a letter to Keiko as well.
"Where is the headquarters anyways? I can go find you over there when I finish my business." Shiro asked.
"Oh it's in Tokyo. However, would it be ok if I follow you for a while. I haven't seen you in such a long time after all." Keomi asked with an expectant smile.
"Hm, sure I don't see why not."
After talking for a little longer, Shiro returned to the castle with the two of them since she wanted to speak to Iziuel.
Telling them to go on without her, she arrived back in the room where the world tree resides.
"Yo, I'm back." Shiro called out.
"You finally returned. Are your injuries fully healed? I saw your fight against that monster." Iziuel replied with concern.
"Don't worry about that haha, I've had 5 days to fully recover." Shiro chuckled.
Looking over at the world tree who seemed rather docile now, she saw that it reached with its roots as if it was asking for more food.
"You want nutrients again?" Shiro asked curiously.
Shaking his roots up and down, it tried to emulate a nodding motion.
"Have some then." Shiro shrugged and sent over a wisp of Life Fire.
Absorbing the fire happily, the roots danced with joy.
Ignoring the tree for now, Shiro activated her flight skill and flew up into the air.
"Let's see, Nimue, Iziuel, you have any ideas on how I can get you out?" She asked.
{Hmm… honestly I'd say it's just a matter of feeding the world tree enough nutrients so that it leaves Iziuel alone.} Nimue replied.
"What about you Iziuel? Do you have any ideas?"
"Not really. I've been here for as long as I can remember so I don't know how to get out." Iziuel replied with a sigh.
"Hmm…"
Narrowing her eyes, Shiro thought about the implications that her actions would bring. The main reason that the tree is using Iziuel as a battery is because it needed nutrients. Not only that, but the world tree also powers the barrier around the capital. Once she gets Iziuel out, the barrier would most likely crumble.
'I need something to preserve the barrier after Iziuel is gone.' She thought to herself.
Flexing her fingers, she created a mana collector just to test out one of her theories. If she could have the mana collector act in Iziuel place, she should be free to remove her from the world tree.
Jumping down, she placed the collector next to the world tree and turned it on.
"Use this to get some energy and see how it is." She said as the tree obeyed.
Wrapping its roots around the device, it started to absorb mana using it as a catalyst.
"Hmm… it's working but the absorption rate is a little too fast for the collector. Unless I have a room full of these, I doubt it can suffice. However, if I get a full room, there is no doubt that the elders would find it and there will be a chance that they'll use it for something else." Shiro muttered with a frown.
Looking at the collector, she could see it breaking apart with every passing second.
{Why don't you just 'borrow' the world tree? Form a contract with it and absorb it into your mana realm. That way, you can keep it fueled with the life fire.} Nimue suggested.
'There are a few problems with that but first, I can do that!? Second, last time the world tree absorbed my mana my links were in danger remember? And third, what about the barrier around this place? It would be problematic if the elf's holy relic disappeared all of a sudden.' Shiro replied with a shake of her head.
{Well you can make a contract since the world tree should be at least equal or higher grade than a phoenix right? As for your mana links, I'm sure that if you make it sign a life blood contract, it should keep you alive.} Nimue replied.
"Nah it's too much risk having something like that inside me. Also, what if we're in a situation where it needed to grow into the next stage and had to absorb mana? If it was outside of its control, it would kill us both. And that's a risk I'm not willing to take since I've seen it happen before." Shiro shook her head.
If that situation did happen, she wouldn't be able to survive.
{That's… true. Then what shall we do?}
"I'm thinking of doing something called mana tax for the country. People regenerate mana all the time so if they were to donate some every day, they can feed this world tree and perhaps even speed up its growth." Shiro said after a short pause.
This was similar to what she had done way back in the shadow temple trial since she had asked the citizens to donate their mana for her to build the mana nuke.
If she was to recreate that situation here, they'll be free to take Iziuel without damaging the city too much.
{That could work.}
"Iziuel! I'll be right back. I'm going to tell this to the elders and have them impose this new rule. That way, we can get you out safely." Shiro called out.
"Alright, I await your good news. Have a safe trip." Iziuel replied with a smile.
Leaving the room, Shiro left the castle to look for the elders. Once she found them, she suggested this new rule so that the world tree could 'grow' faster.
"I don't see why not. We have a lot of people not doing anything with that mana so that's fine. Though we'll have to make sure we don't take too much though." One of the elders shook her head.

Since she needed a genuine reason to get the water, the first thing she thought of was to approach the priest dressed as her 'rogue assassin' attire and tell him about the relic. That way, there was a higher chance of getting what she needed.
Walking into an alley near the church, Shiro changed her outfit and arrived at the priest's office through the rift.
Sitting down on the sofa, she crossed her legs and waited for the priest to return.

The epic legends told by the bards sounded very distant for people in this age. Standing beside the lake that was as calm as a clear mirror, a silver-haired and silver-bearded old elf seemed to be able to look through the lake and into the void with his deep eyes.

The Collector stood in front of the remaining female, casting a deadly shadow over her. It observed that she was dressed in loose robes that offered little in terms of physical protection. She did not wield any visible weapon. Her build did not seem muscled nor built for battle in any capacity. 

The female stopped scratching at her square of plant-fiber and looked up. 

"How about a little this for that? You see, I'm very curious about you and, well, everything. It's lovely to see a kindred curious spirit out here, so I think it'd be wonderful for us to share questions, no?"

The Collector clicked its mandibles. "You are not afraid."

"If I got scared so easily, I'd have died years ago," she said. "And besides, I welcome new knowledge with open arms."

"You are more agreeable than the others. That is good." The Collector pointed back at the mangled corpse of the dead female. "That female. Did she utilize the substance known as 'magic'?"

The living female tilted her head, long locks of ashen white hair swaying to the side. The Collector recognized white hair as a sign of age among the humans, but this female seemed youthful. "I suppose you can say that, though magic isn't quite what I'd call a substance."

"I see." The Collector turned and retrieved the dead female's corpse. It raised the corpse above its head and split it apart in two. Guts and blood spilled out, and the Collector lapped them up. Bloodstains disappeared as soon as they formed on its carapace, being absorbed into its body through the skin. 

The Collector searched the female's memories using the keyword of magic. It could not find anything, only darkness. It was as if the female had never heard of the word magic in her entire life. 

"You lie, human," said the Collector, irritated. It approached the living female again, this time with claws bared. "This is the problem with sentient tinkering races. They learn to lie. I could not extract any memories regarding magic."

The female was unphased. "Extracting memories? Hmm." She put a finger to her chin. "Indeed, that would be difficult. Memories from sorcerers and those blessed by the gods are closely protected, you see. Helps keep their trade secrets hidden."

"And how is it that such a primitive race is capable of obfuscating their very genetic code such that it prevents memory extraction?"

"I don't quite understand what you're saying, but I get the gist of it. You want to know how her memories are sealed. Well, it's rather simple. It's because of magic. Which would have to lead me to an extensive explanation of magic." She raised a finger. "But before I do that, I want you to answer some of my questions."

The Collector paused. This human was utterly fearless in the face of death. It could not sense any tension of the muscles, heightened heart rate and breathing, the stench of adrenaline, nothing. She was relaxed, defying primal instincts such as fight or flight. 

However, that made her reliable as an information source. She would not fall into shock and spout nonsense, and if what she said was true that certain humans could not have their memories taken, then her information became all the more valuable.

"So be it."

The female smiled. "Excellent." She began scratching away at her trinket again. "Forgive me, I like to chronicle the date, time and location of my journal entries. Helps to keep them organized. Now then, here's a simple one. What species are you and where are you from?"

"Tinkering species have long classified us under a single banner, but we are not so. We are the culminated effort of countless species and their genetic material, a Collective of the highest degree. But if you must place a label upon our union, then we would be known across the stars as the Collective. We hail from star system 1011A."

The female stopped scribbling. She put her small stick and square of plant fibers away in pockets in her robes. She was trembling not from fear, but from excitement. "I grasped little of what you said, but it would seem that you are an extraordinary specimen. Never before seen and hailing from a realm never before known."

"Unknown to you primitives, that is true. But it is good to see that even among your species there is one such as yourself that appreciates the greatness of the Collective." 

"I do," the female said. "I appreciate anything new and wondrous, and you are all that and much more. Here, I believe we hail from realms so different that there are certain…cultural differences that prevent us from understanding each other well. But I have a solution."

The Collector's antennae perked up. 

The female continued. "I can synchronize our minds through a clairvoyant window. I will admit that I'm unsure how well this will work considering how different we are, but if it's worked on dragons, it should work for you." She cocked her head. "I can sense more questions from you. Essentially, I'll place a physical conduit, my hand, on you, and then allow you entry into my mind and me into yours." 

The Collector stirred. It knew of certain tinkering species that could forge psionic connections and alter neural processes or share synaptic connections. It would seem the humans had some capacity to do this also. 

The Collector could not allow this human to grasp the secrets of the Collective, but it doubted that she could access them. Many tinkering species had tried to extract memories and genetic information from the corpses of the few fallen Collectors, but there were safeguards in place to prevent such a thing. No psionic force in the galaxy had the potency to crack the Collector's encrypted mind and cells.  

Right now, the Collector needed information, and if she opened access to her mind through, then it could access her memories whereas she stood to gain nothing. 

"That is agreeable," said the Collector. 

The female clapped her hands with a beaming smile. "Simply excellent! By the Aethir, I have conversed with dragons atop the edge of the world and roamed the greatest temples of the elves, but not once have I had an opportunity such as this." She rolled up one of her sleeves and extended her arm towards the Collector's chest. "Do I have your permission?"

"Yes."

"Good." The female pressed her hand against the Collector's hardened carapace. "You may feel a sense of falling and passing nausea, but I assure you that it will pass." She closed her eyes and her brows furrowed in focus. A light began emanating from her palm. "All you have to do is stay still. I'm not like those clumsy priests that need you to focus and think of flowers and puppies and all that pleasant bollocks."

With a deep breath, the female began. "Here we go."

Consume and evolve to become the strongest. 

That was the motto of the Collective, the most feared of interstellar species, consuming all others across many planets and stars for their evolution. They utilized Collectors - fierce, deadly beings that consumed and evolved by razing entire planets - to harvest genetic material.

However, when a Collector one day gets sucked into a wormhole of strange proportions, it finds itself in a strange world.

Not of guns, lasers, and ships, but of wands, spells, and swords. 

In this strange new world, the alien must survive and consume to become the strongest creature of all.

Who was Transporter? What was Transporter? Was he a boy? Or was she a girl?

Well, no one knew what their gender really was. Mostly these transporters always covered in cloth all over their body. And beyond that cloth was another cloth and beyond that was another. Even their voices were indistinguishable.

They were one of the most secret personas in the organization.

But most of them were used as messenger or transportation purposes. Uhm, not just simple transportation. What I mean was transportation between worlds.

The transporter was scanning the data while trying to find some data related to the earthlings.

With the help of Soul Collector, they could be identified which soul was not belonging in that world.

This signaled as the search was successfully done.

"Universe 5, at the planet called..."

"Hah- I really want to sleep," Immo mumbled.

After that, 3 layers of array appeared around them, when Transporter used its second ability.

Their figures instantly vanished inside Immo's boarding house.

And they appeared on top of the mountain cliff.

In front of them was a very deep cliff.

At their back was a huge mountain.

After Transporter left, the two of them left standing on top of the mountain cliff.

"Uh, sorry sorry, uhm...sir L-Lowke sir," Soul Collector called out shyly.

"Yes?"

"What we are going to do now?" She asked.

"Hmm... No worries, I have a bright idea," he said grinning.

"B-But sir, some soul moving at 10 kilometers distance from this area," She said.

"It's fine, it's fine, it won't take long," he said while pointing his index finger above.

Soul Collector felt a chill after seeing this. She could feel that this guy in front of her was up to something not good.

"S-Sir? What are you planning to do?" She asked.

Hah~ he sighed.

"Don't worry this is just 0.01% of my power," he lazily said.

After saying it, his index finger exudes a light as big as a firefly light.

Then he blew it towards the direction of the huge mountain at their back which now at their front.

The tiny light traveled slowly towards the mountain.

"Oh, by the way, let's laid down here," he said while preparing himself to lay down on the ground.

Transporter now in the distance shook its head as it stared at the huge mountain which was now nowhere to be seen.

The huge mountain became plain. A flat plain.

"Hah~ what those two did? I already warned him not to endanger this planet," Transporter muttered, a second later its figure vanish to who knows where.

All the Kingdoms been alarmed from this eruption.

They sent their Spellmaster to the area where the eruption happened.

Two pairs of feet landed on top of the mountain cliff.

"How come?" Muttered the girl with red hair. And wore a pointed hat like a witch hat. She couldn't believe what her eyes were seeing. There was supposed to be a huge mountain in that area. But now, it vanished like there was no such thing in the first place.

"Tsk, this might be done by the other magus kingdom," the guy with red spiky hair added as he clicked his tongue in annoyance. Both of them wore a robe embroidered by red and white.

He wondered if how strong the other kingdom had become. They receive a report saying that the other kingdom rapidly increasing their strengths. They also heard that the Whitemagus kingdom recruited some talented people from the Unknown World. 

"Spellmaster Rigen and Spellmaster Negir, we found two suspicious individual!" Reported by the third person in their group.

""What?""

The two Spellmaster of Redmagus Kingdom walked towards the area pointed by their companion.

When they arrive at the place near the cliff, they saw two youngsters sleeping soundlessly.

"Do you recognize them, brother?" Negir asked her brother Rigen.

"No, I don't, but I heard that the Whitemagus kingdom recruited people from the Unknown world," he replied while furrowing his brows.

"Then, what we gonna do?" She asked her brother.

"Hmm...lets bring them with us so we could question them if they know who did that to the mountain, " he said.

"Haha," he laughed seeing her shocking face.

"Uhm— should we kill these people?" She asked seriously.
