I failed to gather the required amount of the pre-orders, that's why the Kindle Unlimited will be opened. Here is not the question of the money, but the rating is important. When the book is on the bottom - no one will buy it. Unfortunately, translating and money are inseparable things.

Midnight—The Hand Compound.

In this place's open yard, two figures could be seen, one seemingly young man and a young woman.

Under the light of numerous lamp posts, the two figures clashed against each other, wielding katanas in their hands—swift and agile.

*Clang! Clang! Clang!*

The cold light of blades flashed and flew about as the two weaved and countered each other.

*Ting!*

The young woman of Asian descent spoke as she parried her new master's strike. "Sensei, I've noticed that your mood seemed strange lately. Did anything happen?"

Bakuto looked at his new disciple's eyes and became silent as he deflected her sword and sidestepped, brandishing his katana to slash towards her side.

Seeing this, Colleen instinctively blocked it and spun around, smoothly getting away from her master's range.

Bakuto smiled when he saw this. "You're improving day by day, disciple." as he said this, he switched off of his stance and looked at Colleen. "You are correct about my mood, I've been preoccupied lately, thinking about some things."

"Some things?" asked Colleen as she also dropped her stance.

His expression turning serious, Bakuto nodded his head. "I've only found out a few days ago that two of my 'close friends' were killed in cold blood in their territory."

Colleen gasped when she heard his words. "Your friends? They're also martial artists right? Who could kill them in their area?"

Bakuto's expression now was dead serious as not a shred of his previous smile was on his face. "Indeed, they are masters of arts like me. I also can't think of anyone who could've done that to them and leave unharmed."

"But one thing is for certain," he said. "The killer is an extremely dangerous person."

Colleen was silent as she listened to him, trying to fathom the skill of the culprit who was able to kill two masters of combat.

But at that moment, akin to a ghost, an indifferent voice drifted on the surrounding.

"Dangerous?" the calm voice said. "Oh, you have no idea."

Bakuto and Colleen: "???"

Looking at the surrounding, the two failed to spot anyone else other than themselves in the open yard.

As if he sensed something, Bakuto's head tilted upwards as he gazed at the night sky. Seeing his action, Colleen did the same as she also looked up. 

And what they saw was something incomprehensible to them, even for Bakuto who hailed from the mystical land of K'un-Lun.

Standing in the air like it was nothing, a figure in a black overcoat and a silver mask could be seen with his hands behind his back.

As the figure's jet-black hair and overcoat fluttered along with the wind while airborne, Bakuto and Colleen couldn't help but become dumbstruck at his image that went against the world's logic.

Seeing the two's expression, Skye smiled and strode downwards, as if he was walking on stairs in mid-air.

"The Hand's Bakuto, I presume?" laughed Skye as he looked at the man before glancing at the young woman. "Oh? Are you also one of the leaders of the Hand? But there's only five of them and two are now dead, and the remaining three are all men..."

Hearing his words, the two woke up from the magical scene that they were witnessing.

When the unwelcomed guest mentioned the words 'the Hand', Bakuto's eyes narrowed sharply as he pondered on this person's identity.

"Before asking for someone else's name, it is only polite to introduce yourself first," said Bakuto as he tightly clenched the katana in his hand.

Although Skye seemed carefree on the surface, Colleen knew that he was probably here for trouble so she readied herself to strike at once when needed.

Hearing Bakuto's words, Skye only chuckled in response. "You guys were talking about your two 'close friends' earlier, Madame Gao and Alexandra Reid right?"

Madame Gao? Alexandra Reid? When Collen heard Skye's words, she was confused since the two names were foreign to her.

On the other hand, Bakuto tensed up as he deduced the visitor's identity of being the killer of the two leaders of the Hand. 

"Apologies but I have no idea what you were talking about." Bakuto denied, his eyes staring dead set on the two holes on Skye's silver mask, which opened up for two eyes that had a hint of gold.

"Oh? You're denying it?" Skye said before sweeping his glance on Colleen who tensed up in response. "Is it because of her? You're trying to hide your real identity from her? So she isn't a member of the Hand yet?"

Skye was surprised when he surmised this as he looked at Colleen up and down.

Meanwhile, Colleen's head was already buzzing due to Skye as she stared at her master. "Sensei, what is he talking about?"

Just as Bakuto was about to say something, he was interrupted by Skye.

"Enough chit-chat," he said, his attention back to this place's 'cult leader'. "I came here to take care of you. Try and resist better than those two 'old women' please."

As soon as he finished his words, Skye controlled his powers to that of [Tier 2] and dashed towards Bakuto.

'Let me see your techniques which you've honed for a thousand years.' Skye thought.

After killing both Alexandra Reid and Madame Gao, Skye who had slightly expected more from the two Hand's 'ancient women', was disappointed after eliminating them in ease.

When he decided to take care of the two, he also wanted to see for himself how good their fighting abilities were. However, he had used too much power and killed both of them in a blink of an eye.

But now, he had another chance.

Although he had repressed his powers to the minimum, a terrifying aura still couldn't help but radiate from Skye as it flooded towards its targeted prey.

Colleen, who was at her master's side, froze and shuddered as she felt the horrible pressure. At this moment, her instincts kicking in and was telling her to run, run for her life!

*Whoosh!*

Once he saw Skye coming for him, Bakuto stepped forward and swiftly slashed his katana from above.

*Clang!*

However, as if meeting an immovable metal, the katana stopped in its track when it made contact with a fist covered in golden flames.

'Chi? Is he from K'un-Lun?' Bakuto thought when he saw the golden flames.

Distracted for a mere fraction of a second, Skye instantly noticed this as he used his other hand and struck the surface of the katana.

*Crack!*

As if made from glass, the katana cracked and fractured as metallic fragments fell to the ground.

Although surprised, Bakuto was after all, extremely trained as he reacted quickly and jumped back a few meters.

Just as Skye was about to go after him, another katana with a silver hilt came stabbing towards his side.

Skye merely glanced at Colleen and clenched the razor-sharp blade before gifting her a roundhouse kick.

*Thump.*

"Ugh." Colleen was sent flying a few meters before landing on one knee, holding her aching left arm which she used to block the kick.

"You're not my target. If you wanna live, stay out of this." 

Colleen only heard an indifferent voice before the black-clothed figure dashed towards her master.

"Why are you doing this? Why are you attacking an innocent person?" she uttered while gritting her teeth in rage.

"Innocent? Hahahaha," As if he heard something funny, Skye stopped in his tracks and laughed loudly.

Meanwhile, Bakuto, who had gathered his thoughts, rushed towards Skye as he channeled the Chi in his body.

"Innocent? Him?" Skye laughed while staring at Colleen's unyielding eyes. "Why don't we ask him if like you said so."

"What are y—" Colleen couldn't even finish her words before letting out a shocked gasp the next second.

His mask taken off, Skye revealed his face as the golden Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan appeared in his eyes.

*Boom!*

Skye stomped on the ground and in an instant, appeared before Bakuto who had instinctively reacted and swung a palm knife that was empowered with his Chi.

Skye didn't evade the attack as he met the palm strike with a fist covered in golden Qi.

*Crack!*

Cracking sounds of bones being crushed could be heard from the palm as Bakuto withdrew his hand at once.

However, the pain seemed to be void from his expression as he unleashed a punch with his other hand, ruthlessly aiming at his opponent's temple.

Once again meeting the attack head-on, Skye elbowed the incoming fist as bone-popping sounds resounded from the clash.

But at that moment, as if he had expected it, a terrifying kick followed by a howling wind came rushing at Skye's solar plexus.

'DIE!' shouted Bakuto in his mind as he ignored his injuries, ruthlessness and bloodthirst present in his eyes.

"Child's play," Skye muttered as he let the attack hit him.

As soon as the kick struck its pinpointed target, Bakuto smiled only to freeze at the next second when he saw the young man's nonchalant face and mystical golden eyes.

"Is this it?" Skye asked as he clenched the leg before him and stepped forward.

"...how?" Bakuto couldn't believe it and asked as he tried to use his other leg to do a reverse hook kick.

However, it was as if his energy were drained from his body as he couldn't muster any strength! At that moment, a terrifying feeling rose from his heart when he found out that he couldn't move one bit.

Even his mouth seemed to be locked and so was his eyes as he could only look at the pair of golden eyes that appeared gigantic in his point of view.

*Tap, tap, tap.*

Only footsteps could be heard within the surrounding that had gone quiet.

His hands behind his back, Skye leisurely walked and only stopped when he reached Bakuto's side. Glancing afar, his stare landed on the injured young woman who appeared to be dazed and dumbstruck.

"You said he's innocent right?" Skye said with a smirk as he shifted his eyes on Bakuto. "Why don't we let him tell us the truth instead?"

Grabbing Bakuto's disheveled hair, Skye forced his head to face him as his Sharingan locked on Bakuto's eyes.

At that moment, he used his left eye's ability for the first time.

A young man from Earth died only to find himself reborn in the Marvel Universe's Earth.

Ago National High School. 

It was a normal a normal day for every students on Ago High School.

The bell rang, and all the students got ready for their lunch time. 

But only two students remained inside their classroom, Carlo and Spencer, both members of  the Storm Squad led by Marcos.

The two are playing on some online multiplayer game. They are actually still playing during the class hours, but the teachers didn't even noticed them. Once all of their classmates went out, noise filled the room.

"Yeah! Just die like that!"

"Take this!.....and that!!"

"Hey wait for me!"

"What the hell!?"

"Take that again!! Hyaah!"

Their chattering only stopped when their game ended.

"YOU WIN!"

The voice of the game said which resulted in satisfied smiles on the faces of the boys.

"Let's just go eat."

The two walked out to head to the school cafeteria.

Like Rubando National High School, the first year class of Ago High was divided into three sections. Carlo and Spencer are in one section, Ana and Neil in another section, and Colleen in the other section.

When they entered the busy and noisy cafeteria, the two spotted Neil sitting alone in a corner. After getting their foods, Carlo and Spencer went to accompany the lone Neil.

"You look like you lost a huge amount of money. Why the lonely face?" Carlo asked when he sat down.

"Don't talk about it. I really lost my wallet and I can't find it. It must have fell somewhere else unnoticed." Neil maintained a straight face, but there was a hint of annoyance in his voice.

Hearing that, the two were shocked.

"Really now?" 

Neil just sighed and continued to eat his food. "Thankfully, Ana gave me some money. But that wallet of mine has a lot of cash in it and some important items. I hope the one who finds it return it to me."

Meanwhile, in a highway leading to Ago National High School, an angry man is walking beside the road while angrily cursing who knows who.

"Damn! What an unlucky day. I swear I'll get back my money when the time comes. Too bad I have nothing left."

The angry man came from the casino, and he just lost a large amount of cash.

While walking, his right foot stepped on something. The man looked down and saw a black wallet. It looks like it contains some cash since it looks full.

The man picked it up and was surprised to see the thick wad of cash in it. There is a one by one ID in it but he ignored it.

"Heh, I think the heavens pitied me. Let's see." The man counted the money.

"Hehe, this amount was bigger than the amount I lost in the casino. I think it's time to go back and have my payback."

With that, the man turned back to return to the casino. Poor Neil. The wallet that the man found was actually the wallet that Neil lost. Unluckily for him, the one who found it was a dishonest man.

All of this happened while Neil, Carlo, and Spencer are still eating.

"Just chill for now Neil. Let's just hope someone will return that wallet to you." The two comforted their friend as they finished their meal.

In another section of the first year class, Colleen is doing a Livestream on her phone.

She is talking while reading the comments. Apparently, she is famous in some sort of who knows what it is.

"Hey guys, we are going to have a quiz soon. This heart of mine is nervous. Can I get some hearts from you? Muwah muwah muwah, please?"

She acted like a cute child asking for a candy to her fans while reading the encouraging comments in the comment section.

Colleen felt happy and satisfied when she read one particular comment. It was from Spencer, and it looks like he is watching the Livestream.

("Don't believe that witch, she is evil.") Spencer's comment.

That line made Colleen mad that she raised her voice in anger.

"Damn that jerk. I swear I'll smack that bastard a hundred times when I-" Her words are cut off when she realized that she is still on the Livestream. Her classmates are also looking at her weirdly. Realizing her mistake, she immediately faced her phone and smiled sweetly.

"Heh, did you guys see it? I'm practicing my line since there will be a drama here in our school that I will take part in. I hope you didn't misunderstood it.
See you guys again next time, bye." Colleen exited from her Livestream and inhaled a lot of air.

She was about to go find Spencer who ruined her moment but the bell rang.

"Sheesh, I'll give him a good beating when we get home."

The class ended and the first to go home among the five is Neil since he will try to find his wallet in their house. The next are Carlo and Spencer. The last to go home are the two girls, Ana and Colleen.

They are practically living in the same house, owned by Marcos, their father figure and their Master in martial arts. They consider each other as their siblings, and they are happy about it.

When the two girls entered the door, Colleen first went to find Spencer to give him a beating. She found the boy happily eating while watching an anime show in the TV.

PAK!!!

Colleen rushed to face the poor boy and slapped him. But she didn't stopped there as she punch the poor guy on his stomach. All of this happened in a split second. The poor Spencer can now be seen puking the oatmeals he had eaten.

Spencer knew that the girl was angry because of what he had done.

"That's enough now girl." Ana tried to calm Colleen. Carlo is seated on another couch, but he is secretly laughing for his friend. The sight of Spencer is just too funny.

Neil later on joined the two to watch some shows. He was depressed since he can't find his wallet. It looks like he really lost for sure. He just tried to forget it since he has a lot of savings in his bank account.

After a few minutes, Marcos entered the house in his formal suit. He just came from work.

"It's been three days since you didn't came home Dad, rest for now and let's wait for dinner." Carlos said as they waited for the two girls to finish cooking their meal.

"Yeah, it's been three days, and I was stressed out for good." Marcos sat on the couch and noticed that Spencer is rubbing his stomach and looks like he is in a lot of pain.

"What's the matter Spencer?"

While the six of them are eating, Marcos opened up a topic.

"The Extraordinaires gave a mission for you."

The day was slowly getting dark as the sun setting on the horizon. Deep hidden in the Rock Valley near the river bank, was Wide Storm bandit hideout. The Hideout was an abandoned dragon cave, after their leader Mongadee Lopus establish the band they have made this mid size cave their home for 7 years. Over the time they gain prospers, from just empty cave they amass fortune and altered the surrounding to their at advantage, making them more hidden and strong from any attacks.

The cave entrance was fitted with steel bar and thick wooden gate, makeshift walls from wood surround the cave perimeter, guards tower with lookouts, from afar this place look impenetrable. As darkness finally covers the sky, the bandits start going around lighting the torch, Richie was one of the bandits that lighting up the torch on top of the wall, he start from the left end and slowly making his way to the middle where the gate was, a posted guards currently yawning while chugging a bottle of wine.

"Hey Bo!…Find anything?…". (Richie)

"Huh?..Richie~ my man…as usual man,…nothing…". (Bo)
Using his mace Bo scratches his itching back, his face already blushes as his speech slowly slurred.

"Hey what is tha....SPLASSHH!!!…". (Richie)

Out of nowhere, Richie who was looking out from the wall saw a flash of light down the road. Before he even managed to say anything, his head was blown off, with his hand still holding the torch and his body still standing, his upper jaw with his whole head were blown off by a spark of light. Bo, who still drunk puzzled by the sudden spurt of blood that splattered on his face.

"What the...!!!!….SSSPPLLLAATTT!!!..". (Bo)

Shocked with the sudden death of his friend, Bo who only able to snapped out from his drunks, grab Richie body as he tried to shouts towards the other guards, he saw something horrified. All 10 of the guards on the wall and on top the watch tower falls, all their heads were exploded by a spark of light, no sound, no trace out of nowhere his fellows friend was dead. Bob watches as one by one falls silently, before he realize that he was the only one left as he opened his mouth, he felt something went through his mouth. Not even a chance to ponder on what's going on, his existence was reduce to nothing.

As all the guards on top of the wall was killed, the silhouette of Maidens starts to appeared, emerged from nearby bushes and boulders 6 I.S.O.A soldier starts to move towards the wall. One by they starts to climb over the 5 feet wall with ease. Silently they took control of the wall and and the guard tower, and just as before they starts to pick their target inside the wall who still ignorant of what just happened and open fire at them.


In just 15 seconds, the inside of the wall was littered with 15 dead bandits bodies all of them were riddle with bullets. No one have a slightest idea what just killed them, Heckler-Koch HK-416A5 assault rifle that were fitted with suppressor works like wonder in this night darkness, each one of I.S.O.A soldier was equipped with this deathly weapon.

"Dragon one this is Scout A, The wall has fallen, you are clear to proceed..".(Captain Bertha)

"Roger that Scout A, Remained on the wall and stay vigilance, Scout D and E hold the back entrance… Scout B opened the gate…". (Major Colleen)

"Roger that, Over and out.....No.5, No.6 opened the gate..Dragoon one will arrived in a few seconds..hurry up!..". (Captain Bertha)

Without wasting any time, No.5 Layla and No.6 Linda rundown the wall and opened the 4 meter high wooden gate, just as the gate was fully opened a convoy of Van and 4 Lorries came in and parked inside the wall.

"Scout A and B stay up top!….General Bina beyond that door there's an intersections, left, right and middle…General Bina you go left, Major Colleen you go right, I will take middle…from this point, you are shoot to kill, if you see any captives save them if you can, but never compromise yourself for them!…..anything that resist you kill them, if you see the bounty target..incapacitate them avoid killing them if you can…That all, Everyone get ready!…..open that door..".

Opening the door, we were greeted with strong musty smell like an unwashed sock that were left for months. The interior was poorly light, which gave us more advantage as we all were wearing a night vision goggle. Bina took 3 soldier with her and break left, Colleen also took 3 and break right as for me I took 4 soldier with me and go straight.

"2 inbound 20 meter straight ahead...PPRRRRRPPRPRP!!".

Before I even finished talking 3 of the soldier in front of me open fire immediately, killing 2 bandits mercilessly. I can see these new soldier was too nervous and tense, as for the one next to me she to was no exceptions. As they were still in trance, I smack their helmets, causing them to snapped out and turned back at me.

"Calm down soldier, have you forgot what I teach you back in training?…Choose your target, communicate..look at that, not only you took 4 bullets to kill one man, you even missed 5…calm down, you have training remember that..with that powerful weapon in your hand and the training you gone through these guys were nothing….so stop messing around and focus..".

"SORRY SIR!!!..".

"Stop shouting, are you going to tell everyone that we're here??…shesh…you better grip yourselves, or I tell General Bina about this…eyes forward…".
Another smack lands on their helmets, I tried to ease their nerves by treating them lightly, and it works as they have become more focused and relax. We continues moving forward slowly clearing room by room as we headed for the largest clearing in this hideout cave.

"Hostile Down..Room Clear…". (Pvt 1st Class Andromeda)

Andromeda was the lead as she clears a room on the left side that has 3 bandits inside, all of the bandits were killed in a flash.

"HUP!!…HUUAARRFFGGG!!!…CRAAKKK!!!….Clear..". (General Bina)

Unlike her team mate, Bina who the toughest combatant in the team only used his bare hand to kill 2 bandits on her own. She stab the closes bandit to her, burying a machete in his neck, before she pummeled another bandit that jump towards her with barrage of fist, causing the bandits to wobble on his feet before smashing his head on a door frame, breaking his neck and caving in his skull.


".….Madam, You should try avoiding coming in contact with their bloods…who knows what disease this filth had…". (PVT 1st class Yose)

Pvt 1st class Yose who was a demi-human woman from Bunny race, was known to be a clean freak among the Maidens, seeing her General bashing in skulls like as squash made her frown her brows, not because of the killing but because of the blood splattering all over.

"Blah Blah…shut it clean freak, we're not in picnic to worried about germs or what not…we here to kill…so stop with that wet wipes of yours and start…BBAAANNGG!!…the Fuc!….". (General Bina)

Before she finishes her words, Yose suddenly open fires at her, the bullets flies off past her shoulder. Yose than casually point at her back, as she turned she saw a dead bandits on the ground with a hole on his forehead.

"See, we got guns…it's easy and clean, so use it…beside I'm not a clean freak!…I'm a civilized modern woman, see this nails?..look how beautiful it is, you should take care of your image Madam…be more womanly and feminine…you know~~".(pvt 1st Yose)

An annoying tones comes out, as Yose relentlessly schooled her General, it's true Yose probably has the most cheeky personality in the Maidens, but she is the best sharpshooter in the force.

"You!!!…".(General Bina)

"Madam, we got stairs leading downstairs…..madam..It's a dungeon….". (Pvt 1st Class Andromeda)

Different from General Bina team, Colleen team has only her as a superior and from the maidens. Making it easier for her to control her team mate, beside she was known in the department of defense as a straight arrow and a perfectionist, that's why no one dared to mess around when they were with her.

"I supposed so Madam, wait a second, let me scout forwards…....madam, we got a double door up front…". (Pvt 1st Class Linda)
Linda breaks away from the team and scout forwards as she finally stopped at a corner that turned sharp left 45 degree, as she poked her head to see what's on the route up ahead, she saw a large wooden double door fitted with iron padlocks with 4 guards in front guarding the door. she then reports on her comm, the rest of her teammate moves silently towards her and positions themselves, ready to take out the 4 guards in one go.

"Move…". (Major Colleen)
The 4 comes out from the corners and moves forwards stealthy with their rifles aims directly at the 4 guards, a red laser beams forwards and find themselves pointing on 4 different foreheads.

"Hey there's something on your…KKBBLLAASSHHH!!!..". (Brain less guards)
As the guards noticed a weird red light on his fellows foreheads he tried to comment on them, just as he pointed at them, a bullet comes through his right temple and comes out of his left along with his brains matter, painted the double door in red.

[PSSHUUPP!!!..PSSHHUUPP!!..PSSHUUUPP!!..]

A similar sound echoes 3 times, and each times the same outcomes happened. 3 heads drilled with holes, as their bodies rolled on the ground, a few seconds later Colleen and her 3 mates appeared before the door.

"uurrghhh…PPSSHHUUPP!!….". (No head guards)
One of the guards groans as he was laying on the ground, Colleen squeeze her trigger once more, this time point blank, blasting open the bandit skull opened.

"Make sure your target dies before switching the safety off…next mistake, I gonna have your pay deduct Private Kimo…". (Major Colleen)
Colleen shot a fierce glance at Pvt Kimo,This made not only Pvt Kimo shuddered but her other team mates.

"Apologies, Madam….". (Pvt Kimo)
Pvt Kimo breaks a cold sweats as she can only apologize, hoping that it would quell her superior anger.

"Madam…No keys..the door was at least 10 inches thick, the padlocks was magically infused…".(Pvt 1st Linda)
After searching for through the guards pockets, Linda found no keys, she then inspect the door carefully and report her find to her Major.

"Hmmm….it's doesn't matter, look the hinges aren't covered, put the C4 on them…..". (Major Colleen)

"Yes, Maam..". (Pvt 1st Class Linda)
Along with Layla and Kimo, the trio set a sufficient amount of C4 on the door hinges and set the charges. After 1 minutes, they already ready and backed up to a safe distance, with their thumbs on the trigger ready to blast at any time. Linda turned to colleen waiting for order.

"Dragon one this is Left team, we found a vault doors…Charges are set, awaiting your orders..over.."

"All teams, on 3…you are clear to go….1..2..GO!!..".
As I received the report that all teams ready to break the stealth, me and my team already at the opening of the large clearings, it was a mess hall of this bandits and it was full of them.

The explosions sound not only comes from the Left route but also at the hidden entrance way outside the cave, simultaneously my team also throws flash bang into the mess hall, so is the Right team who already taken off their suppressor and going in to save the captives.

"Ladies…Give them HELL….".

"YES SIR!!!!".
Short but powerful replies bounced on the comms signalling all team to engage. Sound of firearms blasting and screams, echoes inside the cave, normally at any other days the cave only filled with laughter of drunken men and cries of women being raped, but this time the cave was filled with wails of deaths as the sound of guns cleansing the sinners.

Today is Colleen 100 years annual celebration.


Many celebrities, politicians, business men came. Colleen enterprise is one of renown enterprise. It is said that Colleen used to had connection with royalties from ancient times. It's an honour to be part of prestige parties thrown by Colleen. So nobody miss the chance to throw away the invitation. They come in hope of making connection. Everyone of them were dressed in their best outfit. 

Outside reporters taking as many shot, taking interview of the people coming to be part of celebration. They are not allowed inside whatever news they want to cover they can from the outside. But the reporters trying to get inside to get the glims of party. Because of which the security tighten double.

Mira arrived with her parents. Many people were looking at her nobody could recognise her identity. Mira lost her weight a lot and didn't came out in news after her transformation due to which nobody could recognise her. Mira wore a red dress it made her look elegant yet seductive. Men were looking at her in lust some where ready to approach her to make her their wife. Some women in appreciation some were in jealousy .

Mira went to greet Jack Colleen. She beautifully smile at him "Congratulations Mr Colleen" . 
Jack surprised looking at Mira even he couldn't recognise her. "Damn...Arthur your both the daughters are really beautiful"

Mira excused herself from their conversation. And went to get a fruit punch. Mira have zero alcohol tolerance so she refraining herself in order not to make a fool of herself. She is standing at the corner observing the party looking out for Louis.

Mira finds Louis jealousy amusing "His name is Francis not franchee"

Seating herself at a table at the corner of the cabin, Debbie sighted the dark, velvety skies studded with diamonds. Accompanied by the sounds of waves crashing upon the surface of the water as she dined upon exquisite snacks, her mood lifted. A gust of the cold, sea breeze blew and kissed her skin. As much as she loved the sensation, Debbie stood up and proceeded to put the window to a tight shut. They all had exited the clothing store with haste, failing to notice that her wrap had been left behind. Fortunately, there was heating in the cabins. Otherwise, she had to think of surviving a possible frostbite.


Only accompanied by her shadow, Debbie waited and waited, indulging herself with delicious food. Not once did it bother her that the party hadn't started. Dealing with boredom was simple.  


Reveling in eating snacks, Debbie felt her throat grow torrid. She went to fetch herself a beverage and overheard a conversation regarding the Lu family. Apparently, they were looking forward to the arrival of an esteemed guest, without whose presence, the party would never start nor the boat sail.  


Silence shattered. All women shuffled to the door in furor, but the same couldn't be applied to Debbie as she remained seated and eyeballed the scene.  


All the women seemed to belong in well-heeled families. A big thrill was apparent on everyone's face, but their refinement kept them from shrieking.  


Within half a minute, Debbie finally knew the source of their excitement.  


The food section was stationed higher than the others, enabling her to have a view of the commotion at the door clearly. It was him. None other than her husband. The richest bachelor in Y City, they referred to him as, since few people in the city knew about their marriage.  


The revered guest the Lu family and all the others had been waiting for had finally shown his face. In the moment Carlos showed up, the boat blew its horns, departing to sail the sea. The festivities commenced.  


Despite possessing such a rowdy personality, Debbie knew when to steer out of trouble.  


It was never her wish to instigate conflict with Carlos, especially in public. But, the petty man himself had been testing her patience. Just like that, Debbie avoided him like a plague.  


Carlos and his date graced the floor by having the first dance. All had eyes on the two, dreamily sighing as they took in the view except for Debbie as she sneered. The woman was unforgettable for her as she had insulted her at the mall just a few days ago.  


And there was another couple. 'Wait…' Debbie observed the couple closely. 'Is that the principal? Curtis Lu?' Briskly shaking her head, Debbie debated if she was seeing right, especially with the amount of food and beverages she had consumed.  


Realization struck her mind. She folded her arms. 'Duh, it's a party thrown by his family. Of course, he'd be here.' In a chocolate brown dress, Curtis' date looked chic and stunning.  


First dance over, claps and cheers echoed throughout the cabin. Even Debbie herself clapped, but solely for Curtis and his date.  


The crowd dispersed to seize their favorite activities. People gathered here and there while some remained in the cabin or on the deck. They drank, cheered, spoke, and laughed merrily. All seemed happy.  


However, wise people could see that most people just shared shallow, meaningless things to one another. Sure they could exchange greetings, be polite, sing and dance, as well as share drinks. But, all of this had no substance because none of them would share their genuine thoughts.  


As for Debbie's friend Jared who she had come with, she saw him succeed in picking up two girls and flirt with them.  



A short sigh escaped her lips after she had shaken her head. Hunger sated, Debbie decided to stroll around the deck and savor the view nature offered.  


The deck was rather crowded. When the wind gusted, she felt the cold sting her skin. It was frigid outside.  


Heading for the cabin with the intentions of borrowing Jared's jacket, she came to a full stop when she saw how intimate he and one of the girls he had flirted with were as he leaned forward for a kiss. Unable to press on with her own intentions, Debbie turned back.  


Leaning against the rails, gazing at the sea, she snickered, 'Jared is a guy after all. I shouldn't be so surprised. Men are considered to be powerless in front of alluring women.'  


An unwelcoming thought perturbed her. 'If I looked ugly… would Jared still want to be my friend?'  


"Debbie?" a gentle voice called out, breaking her line of thought.  


Tucking a lock of her hair behind her ears, she turned towards the voice. It was Curtis. "Good evening, Mr. Lu,"  she greeted politely as he had been with her.  


Acting tough or authoritative never worked on Debbie. So far, she was fond of the way Curtis taught others, which was soft and gradual, just like his personality.  



Eyes falling upon Debbie's exposed skin, Curtis sighed as he took off his blazer and draped it on her shoulder.  


"It's cold out here. Why didn't you stay inside?" he asked.  


Warmth filled Debbie's body when she heard Curtis' earnest concern. "I ate way too much, so I came out here to make the food settle down my stomach for a bit." Accepting his gesture was something Debbie needed at the moment as she had been freezing in the cool sea breeze.  


"Oh, I see." Curtis looked amused at Debbie's response. "Did you come here with Jared?"    

"Yes."


"That lad's a player,"  he said as he rested his arms on the rails, looking out to the vast sea. "He left you as soon as he saw that pretty girl."  



"It's fine. He's single." Debbie tittered. "He has the right to be happy and date whoever he wants."  


The subject then changed. "Come. I want you to meet someone."  


"Eh? Who?" Debbie was lost at Curtis' words. Why would he want to introduce someone to her? Did he treat everyone so nicely? Or was it just her?  


Instead of offering a response, Curtis stretched out his hand, embodying chivalry. There was not much of a choice. In resignation, Debbie agreed and followed him back to the cabin.    

Inside the Food Section    

There were three people Curtis had led Debbie to: Carlos, Olga, and that woman who had shared a dance with Curtis. The sight of the first two made her stomach churn.


'Carlos? Are you kidding me?'  


While Curtis had greeted the three urbanely, his friend Carlos cast sharp glares that could be mistaken for daggers. Every second was torment. Anger welled up inside Debbie's body, taking shape of a bomb that was ticking, ready to explode. Without a word, she turned to leave, but Curtis outstretched his hand and prevented her from progressing. "Debbie, this is Carlos Huo, my good buddy. This is Olga Mi, his date. And this is my girlfriend, Colleen Song." Adjusting his glance to Colleen Song, he smiled. "Colleen, this is Debbie Nian."


Put on the spot, Debbie inwardly sighed before turning around to face Colleen Song. Ignoring the other two, she sauntered to her and beamed. "Hi, Colleen. It's nice to meet you." Numerous questions rushed into her mind. In no way were Debbie and Curtis close, so why did he want her to meet his girlfriend? To add, they had never even talked except at school before. Nothing made sense.  


Tenderly taking Debbie's hand, Colleen Song smiled delicately. "Hi, Debbie. I've heard so much about you. You are so beautiful." Unknowing how to react to the compliments thrown unto her, Debbie turned tight lipped and just focused on Colleen Song's voice, which was soft and mellow.  


"We're friends now, so if you ever need anything, just ask, okay?" 


Never did Debbie expect to be flattered to this extent. Both girls had smiles, sharing the tender moment until a voice shattered it into nothingness. "Colleen, you must remember, not anyone can be a friend. You need to open your eyes and don't be fooled by the surface as a putrid soul may like within." 


Both Colleen Song and Curtis looked at Carlos, aghast. Curtis had anticipated that they might not be pleased to see each other, but this was belligerent. 


Even with Carlos' contempt against women, he had never uttered degrading words to any woman as there was no need to. When a woman came on too strong and struck against him like gum underneath a shoe, a simple sentence uttered from his lips could bring forth hell. 


'What's this all about? Is this because of what Debbie said I the video?' Curtis pondered to himself, trying to understand the situation. 


While Debbie tried to remain her composure and avoid trouble, that man decided to pour fuel to the fire. The bomb exploded. 'Enough is enough!' 


Snatching the wine glass from Olga's hand, barren of hesitancy, Debbie threw the wine in Carlos' face. "Debbie!" Curtis was a tad late from preventing a scene. 


Gaps filled the air as they saw Carlos soaked in wine. Uncontrollable chatter ensured, speaking I'll of Debbie. 


"Oh my God!" "Goodness! What has gotten into that woman?!" "What audacity she has to disgrace Mr. Huo's face with wine!" 


"She's out of her mind!" 


"Just wait and see. She is as good as dead!" 


"There's no way Mr. Huo's taking this lightly."

"Drive this woman out!"

"Throw this woman into the sea!"


When he doesn't know Debbie Nian's true identify, Carlos Huo cold-shoulders her. 

"Mr Huo, she is your wife." Carlos secretary reminded him. Hearing that, Carlos gives him a cold stare and complained, "why didn't you tell me earlier?"

The next day was warm and pleasant. Right after work, Roma left the office and headed straight to a small coffee shop that sat only a short walking distance away. She had found out about the spot because it was a common thing for employees of her company to be there on break. The cafe had much better coffee than could be found in their offices.

Roma had made the foolish mistake of letting Kassy know of the date and her friend could hardly focus on her work all day. Kassy would be staring at Roma with a goofy smile on her face for several minutes at a time before explaining a new piece of fantasy romance she had thought up for the date. More than once Hadiya had come in to try and get Kassy to work, but the boss too shared a curiosity when the information was blabbed. It had been an embarrassing day in the office.

There was a fair amount of people at the cafe that late afternoon. Hadiya had shooed Roma out of the office an hour early so there would be breathing room. Roma had set the time only just after her regular shift, leaving very little time for the unforeseen. It was an unexpected moment of rest that Roma found herself in. Unexpected but welcome.

There were a couple women in suits that could have been from her workplace. They sat at an outside table as she did, laughing and talking very enthusiastically about some television show. Only four tables sat outside of the cafe. Given the shop was a small hole in the wall surrounded by giant business, they had very seating at all and were most popular with takeout crowds.

Roma's table had her sitting next to the front windows of the cafe to the right of the door. She watched people exit with their coffee and quietly enjoyed a guessing game about their lives. The cars racing by on the street and the talking of the people at the tables and the sidewalk created welcome noise. Roma felt that she could easily remain invisible in the chaos.

It had been a half hour in front of the cafe, but it wasn't unpleasant. Roma's coffee still held an acceptable temperature in the throwaway cup, although she had almost forgotten to drink it as she let her mind wander.

"Well, well," a familiar voice said. "What are you doing here?"

Before Roma could find the owner of the voice, Anaiese sat down on the opposite and only chair to her table. She smiled big at Roma and leaned in, showing cleavage from an unbuttoned jacket and shirt. What a terrible risk the little coffee shop had been.

"I've never seen you here before," Anaiese said, looking as sly as ever. "What's the occasion?"

"I just wanted coffee," Roma answered, trying to sound genuine. "I knew people from the office came here so I was curious."

"Yeah, this is a pretty good little place," Anaiese said, eyeballing Roma obviously. "I come here most days and see if there's any bombshells in the crowd. Speaking of which, if you're still here after I order I'll sit and bother you. Don't drink too fast, babe."

"Oh, but-" Roma said, but she wasn't heard as Anaiese quickly left her.

Roma was in a panic. There was still thirty minutes left before the date was scheduled, but if Anaiese was around when Colleen came it would be nothing but trouble. The second Anaiese disappeared into the cafe, Roma nearly leapt from her seat and began walking briskly down the sidewalk. With a few swipes of her phone she called Colleen and every ring that passed was torturous.

'Please, pick up. Don't make it to the cafe yet.'

Over and over the phone rang as she hurried along the busy sidewalk. The fear of her date and aggressive work acquaintance meeting was like knives in her chest. Anaiese was a predator and poor Colleen felt like easy prey. Roma silently cursed at herself for being so idiotic and dragging a girl into her hectic life. Why had she been so foolish? She didn't need to go on dates!

'Why won't she answer!'

With no attention given to where she was going, Roma walked right into someone. The sting of the person's head hitting the right of her jaw stunned Roma and she lost her phone as she staggered backward. As she regained her wits she felt overwhelming joy wash over her as she saw who she collided with.

Standing there with a cute blue cardigan over a white dress of yellow flowers, was Colleen. She looked gorgeous from her long ponytail all the way down to her black slip-ons.

"I hope this outfit looks all right," Colleen nervously said, rubbing her forehead. "Oh, and I caught your phone. I was digging through my mess of a purse and couldn't find mine to answer your call, sorry."

Roma rubbed her jaw and smiled warmly at her date.

"Is everything okay?" Colleen asked.

"You look perfect," Roma replied with a little laugh.

Colleen's freckled face became consumed with red and she tried hard to not stammer and blurt out something stupid.

'This girl makes me talk without thinking!'

Roma has it better than most. She does her best and makes it through each day of work, happy to greet her little dog when she returns to her apartment. Her life is simple and predictable. Not much changes from one day to the next.

Although, most do not have to take care of a mother with a women-killing disease. The longevity of her remaining parent is incredible against the known mortality rate of the sickness. Roma pours all the funds she can into trying to cure what has no remedy.
