Okay so the Illustration is complete I updated the book cover on royalroad.com scribblehub.com and webnovel.com, I've also updated the synopsis to what is going to be on A m a z o n.
The illustrator delivered the illustration to me around 3 or 4 hours ago., so it was completed fairly recently.
It took me mmmm 7 or 8 tries maybe 9 before I was finally able to get kdp amazon to accept the illustration. I tried 6 or 7 times of those to get it to accept the pdf. In the end, it did not accept the pdf book cover, but I was able to make a workaround and submit the image through the cover creator by uploading the image and delete all text projected over the illustration by the cover creator and wallah only took a 2nd try to get it done after that.
This was for the paperback version mind you, no problems with the ebook on that front. Keep in mind I was just about to go too sleep when the illustrator contacted me and I only recently reverse my schedule back to somewhat normal. It was then that this whole fiasco started.
Now then, the ebook has passed review and is currently publishing which means their setting it up on their sites and apps for amazon, kindle and their various national variations.
The paperback is in review. Both the ebook and paperback should be released around or within 72 hours from what I've been told. I will also get an email when the ebook is published and maybe when the paperback is published not sure.
Next, I noticed when I was reposting the amazon version of the synopsis that the paperback's synopsis was lacking any spaces between sentences which is indeed an issue.
Now I would go ahead and edit the ebook and paperback just so they're more professional, but I tried that, it won't let me edit it right now and the button to do so are greyed out.
That said I do want to edit the synopsis of the two books so they're not a mess but I will have to wait, if they even allow editing of them after they've been published anymore. I know they used too.
I may or may not release another update when they've been published and or edited but for now you seem to have all the information and anymore may just be overbearing.
Also the paperback minimum price was 42 something odd dollars with no royalties, so I raised the price of the paperback to 50 dollars USD so that I can even make a profit off royalties, even with that each purchase of the paperback only gives me 4.25 dollars. The cost of printing is 25 something odd dollars per book, I guess amazon gets the rest and or put it into shipping costs???? Crazy right?
Anyway that's it have a wonderful night or day and I hope you buy a copy.

Jing Jiu grabbed the alarm through the space and squeezed it into pieces.
The ear-splitting sound of the alarm stopped abruptly.
He thought that this magic treasure must have been triggered when it sensed the sound of a stranger.
It seemed that the people in this world lived a rather anxious life.

The size of the room was small, three sides of which were lined with bookshelves extending all the way to the ceiling. The bookshelves were full of paperback books, making the room feel much smaller.
Standing in the middle of the room, one would have a strong sense of being squashed.
It was unclear why there were so many paperback books here.
Jing Jiu sat down on the floor with his legs crossed. He curled his finger slightly to make all the books on the shelves drift up in the air and move without the aid of the wind.

She had lain in the chair for a long time. As Jing Jiu thought she had fallen asleep, she got up and poured a cup of water for herself before she took the medicine and ate the supper. Then, she walked into that room and looked out at the small sky above the street after pulling the curtain aside, her eyes full of expectation.
After a long while, she pulled back her gaze and turned to leave when she suddenly saw a piece of paper underneath the bookshelf. She squatted down and picked it up, the expression on her face turning grave.
She ran her trembling fingers across the bookshelf. In the end, she found a book and opened it. A corner of one page in the book was torn off as expected.
It was tiring to study at the institute; it was also helpless and exhausting to live a lonely life. Seeing her most precious item damaged when she came back home, the girl with silvery hair could no longer stand it anymore. She started crying while holding her bent legs with both of her hands.
"Dad…Mom…Little Yellow One…I miss you guys so much. I'm a useless person…Why is this world so unfair?"
Standing behind her, Jing Jiu didn't let his shadow cast on her while listening to her relating her own sad story in a crying tone.

"Great, now I have to take the book out, look for the author's name and figure out which one's the last name," she muttered as she tossed one of the books back. Some names of Asian origin like Kazuo Ishiguro, Harper Lee, Ruth Ozeki were easy to tell, but it looked like Huo Yunting read books by almost every nationality in the world. "Francois Marie Arouet de Voltaire?" She frowned, "Okay—is Voltaire the last name?" 
"Yes!" She made an eyeroll upon hearing her man replying from the back. 
"Okay, that's a 'V' then."

It was the work of a morning maid when Lu Zhaoyang wiped the rack. She then took a brief lunch with Huo Yunting, silently of course, not sure if she was too tired to speak or her eyeroll convinced Huo Yunting to not talk to her. In the afternoon she plunged into the resting room and started cleaning like an outsourced janitor. 
Few hours later she walked to the spacious desk in the room, "My dear president," sarcastically she initiated, "Is everything okay?" She tried her best.
"Kinda," murmured Huo Yunting, his back leaning against the throne as he turned the monitor to her.

"GOLDEN CITY?" She bent down to have a closer look. 
It was a video and a terrifying sound rang the moment Huo Yunting hit the spacebar.
BANG!
The gunshot stirred up a commotion inside the hall. The bullet was aimed right at a stranger, while Chen? He was just a side-character which did not stay on the screen for more than 2 seconds. He seemed to be after a woman. 
The video ended. 
"That's it?" She looked at Huo Yunting.
So Chen is alright? He's not hurt? 
"Yes. Your little prince is fine. That's all." He turned the monitor back to him and smiled wryly. 
She stood back up and patted the dust off her body, "Well, all done. I still have work to do. I'll be home tonight to cook you dinner. Got to go." She caught onto her husband's message however that he was angry.
"Alright," he responded briefly. At least his woman knew he was mad and needed some attention.
"Thank you for your information." She bowed and took her purse before storming her way to Ge Yu Corp. She believed she was in luck, considering how the president of Ge Yu Corp. was nearly invisible in her office life, although she got to admit that the big man had been visiting the company quite frequently recently. 
"It can't be that bad right?" Mumbled Zhaoyang as she exited the elevator. 
It could be that bad, unfortunately. 
"Special Assistant Lu," the voice rang coldly at the door right after she placed her bag at the seat. It was Yuan Li, her interviewer during recruitment. Her usual smile was nowhere to be found, "The president has been looking for you."
"Okay, thank you." She then hurried her way to the President's Office, where Xiang Jinyan was reviewing the contract in his hands. The sunlight was gentle as it showered upon his majesty, giving his face finally a bit of friendliness it deserved. 
"Sir." 
President Xiang tossed the document to the table upon hearing her voice, he lifted his eyes, "What's your basic responsibility as my special assistant?"
"Standing by your command at all times. My apologies for that. It won't happen next time." Her phone was already dead after that whole night without charging. She could not imagine the influx of mails when her phone resuscitated.


She was the little chief secretary at Huo Yunting’s office, who carried out jobs both on the table and "under" the table.

Netizens were not really in the know when it came to the intense competition between large film companies and private studios, as there was just too much news and gossip about films, serials, and whatnot. While this was all going on, yet another new round of military enlistment began.
There were two enrollment periods for military service: one in April and the other in October.
Generally speaking, the April batch saw more enlistees than the October one, as near the end of the year, it seemed like Memorial Day was drawing closer. Many people would choose to wait and spend Memorial Day with their family, have discussions, and make preparations before applying for enlistment in April.
However, the opposite happened this year.
The number of applicants for this October's batch of enlistees exploded by a whopping 291%. This was the figure given in an official announcement. Even without looking at all these statistical figures, most people could have guessed that this October's batch would increase by a lot. Especially among people in universities, many students that had yet to serve had decided to enlist.
Project Starlight was a success. It had brought about a zeal in youngsters for military service and brought about even more attention.
To best support the enthusiasm and zeal of youngsters, this round, the top brass had decided that the five planets involved in Project Starlight would take charge of enlistees applying to their respective planets. This meant that anybody who wanted to apply for military service on these five planets could do so, and those that were approved would be sent there. Only after being rejected would these enlistees than be allocated to another location by the system.
Youngsters looking to chase stars naturally chose the planets their idols were at for their own military service. Among Project Starlight's first batch, the planets S1, S2, and S3 had similar situations. They had more enlistees than previous years, but it wasn't too exaggerated. The exaggerated ones were the planets that channels S4 and S5 were on—planets Wai and Baiji.
Planet Baiji's position in the development sequence had shifted and was developing rapidly, which gave rise to a lot more people wanting to go over and strive to do their best. Who knew if it could benefit them in their own future careers.
Planet Wai also received a similar number of applications to planet Baiji because of the film entertainment cultural base. Military enlistees were mostly youths in their early twenties, with the majority being university students, and there were many that chased stars. The Wai Film Entertainment Cultural Base had a strong appeal to these people, especially with entertainment news reports claiming that it was easy to run into a celebrities even when picking a random restaurant for a meal. These sorts of reports made these youngsters rub their hands in glee.
However there was a limit for accepting enlistees. Even though planet Baiji and Wai had both increased their quotas, the amount of applicants greatly exceeded their plans. Thus, they had to use the system to filter applications before filling up their quotas.
That meant to say that for this round, the criteria that planet Wai and Baiji were using for accepting enlistees was much higher. If there were any stains on their personal files, any unsavory records, serious psychological illnesses, or other issues, that party would be filtered out. Especially for planet Baiji, where they also examined the physical records of potential enlistees as well as the physical fitness examination results from primary school all the way to university. Applicants that were physically fit took priority.
After the filtering process, the system then sent the results to the applicants.
Applicants that received notifications that Baiji Military District had accepted their application were required to head to the allocated hospitals in their respective continents for a medical checkup and then head to the respective military districts for basic military training, just like Fang Zhao had done back then. After a month of training, they would then be sent to planet Baiji.
On the transport ship headed toward planet Baiji, the young conscripts were full of nervousness and complex thoughts. When they could not fall asleep, they gathered together to chat.

Joseph took out a slightly thick book about history and flipped over the book.

His real intention was not to read the contents of the book but to view the notes Fang Zhao had written in the book. From there, he could find out what sort of person Fang Zhao was.
