Carving out a path sure is hard work. Luckily the universe loves me.

Listening to the sudden ancient voice that reverberated within his mind, Shad suddenly stopped his track and surveyed the area, However, he didn't see anyone except for the people that were following him.

" Brother is everything OK?"  Asked Viviana with a hint of concern in her voice.


" Everything is fine, I just seemed to have heard a voice." 

"Did you guys hear anything?"  Shad asked as he looked at the people behind him.

Listened to the 4th imperial prince's questions, they all had a bewildered expression on their faces as they were looking at each other. It was as if they were asking the same question to each other, but instead of using their voices, they used their eyes to communicate with one another.

" I didn't hear anything, what about you big sis." Quickly answered Vivi as she looked at Monalisa.

" Nope, I didn't hear anything either."  She said as she shifted her gaze to Nina and then Mina who then shook their heads and said no as well.

Mark and the others didn't hear anything either, which means that voice was only heard by Shad and no one else.

Shad stood still for a while to see whether he could hear that voice again but with no avail.  Shad was a hundred percent sure that he had just heard a loud voice  as soon as he passed through the door of the Great Tower, yet no one else was able to hear that voice but him.

Furthermore, that voice wasn't soft either, It was loud as hell and had a powerful and ancient feel to it, yet none of them heard it.

It was the same as when he had found the Eye of the Red Lightning Dragon Emperor. At that time, the Eye of the Red Lightning Dragon had flown into the sky and turned the whole continent into a type of redness. Even the sun was colored red by it. Furthermore, nine Lightning Dragons had appeared in the sky and started to roar so loud that it seemed as if space itself was going to shatter like a mirror. 

The Eye of the Red Lightning Dragon Emperor had caused such a huge ruckus that even someone in the central mainland would have been able to notice it, yet not even Monalisa and the Lightning Corps who were pretty close at that time heard it. And today, the same thing had happened again when Shad passed through the gate of the Great Tower.

' Let's go." After confirming that he was the only one who had heard that voice, Shad didn't dwell on it anymore as he continued moving forward. He already had a pretty good idea as to why he was the only one that was able to hear that voice.

After Shad and his group entered the Tower, they found themselves walking through a dark, gloomy passageway that was lit up by countless small balls of blue flame. The passageway was so large that a hundred people could walk side by side without bumping into one another. It was very dark inside and one could not even see thirty meters ahead. However, the small balls of blue flame were constantly being lit up on both side of the passageway as Shad and his group was moving forward. It was as though the blue flame was showing them the way.

" Everyone gets ready,  we've arrived at the end of the passageway," Shad said as he was looking at a huge round hall ahead of them.

Just like the passageway, the huge round hall was lit up all around by the small blue flame as well. The round hall was so big that it could hold more than a thousand people and it still wouldn't be crowded.  Moreover, there was a huge magic circle that encompassed the whole hall. 

From his position, Shad also saw another three passageways that lead to the same round hall. 

" It seemed like there was more than one entrance," Shad said as he was looking at the other three passageways ahead of him.



",Indeed,  according to father, the Great Tower has four entrances and each one of them has a  different carving on the door.  This one has the huge Purple Lightning Dragon standing on top of countless ancient powerful Lightning Beasts. The opposite side is the massive carving of nine different items that looked like a set of powerful weapons. The power emanating from each of these weapons wasn't the least weaker than that of the Purple Lightning Dragon. On the other side is another massive carving of the person wearing the same set of weapons that were on the opposite side and battling a giant person with six pairs of eyes. As for the last one, it was the carving of nine huge worlds that shattered or broken and transformed into trillions dust like worlds."  Answered Gomez with a puzzled look on his face.

The carving on the doors of the Great Tower was clearly telling a story.  Also, even though they couldn't get the whole story while looking at and analyzing the four carving on the doors, they still had a rough idea about what went down from looking at the four carvings. However, they didn't know if that story was whether true or just fiction. Also, they didn't know who was that massive Purple Lightning  Dragon and his relationship with that person that was battling the six pairs eyes giant on the other side. They all wanted to uncover the secrets of the Great Tower, but for some unknown reason, aside from the four founders in the past, no one has ever been able to make it to the 9th floor where the spirit beasts resided till now. 

Even though Gomez was following his father's order to support the 4th imperial prince of the Djage empire or the 2nd protector, he knew that his father had another motive as well for ordering him to do so.

He believed that the 4th imperial prince had a huge chance of making it to the 9th floor otherwise that old geezer wouldn't have sent him. If he actually made it, even if the possibility was very small,  then he and his son would have the chance to get the bloodline of a spirit beast and strengthen their family.  If he couldn't make it, then they still wouldn't lose anything as they would get on the good side of the imperial family by supporting the 2nd protector.

Furthermore, unlike Shad and the other Novas, Gomez knew some secrets that they didn't. For example as to why they sent them inside the Tower and gave them such an important mission that could cause the rise and fall of the four empires while the Magic Council pretended to keep watch on what they believed to be the main base of the Eye.


After listening to Gomez's explanation about the three carvings on the other three entrances, Shad's body suddenly shook violently, after that, his eyes showed that he had an understanding expression. From that four carvings alone,  even though he couldn't connect all the dots, Shad had a  pretty rough idea about what went down as well and the relation between the purple lightning seed within his infinite space with the purple lightning dragon and the person wearing the set of weapon that was battling the giant with the six pair of eyes.


Shad suddenly had more than a hundred of questions that spanned out of his mind after knowing the existence of the other three carvings. However, he knew that he wasn't going to get any answers unless he subdued that Tower just like he did with the Eye of the Red Lightning Dragon Emperor. He had the feeling that by subduing the Tower, he will have all the answers to his questions. 

In the blink of an eye, they all had  entered the huge round hall. And then, the huge magic circle that encompassed the whole round hall suddenly lit up beneath their feet as Shad along with hundreds of people that were following him disappeared from the hall as it returned to normal and the small blue flames were gone as well turning the hall and the passageway pitch black.

This is a story about Shad, a young orphan who was struck by lightning. Instead of dying, he was reborn into another world known as Eidrin. The ambient mana on Eidrin is extremely dense and abundant, allowing mages to reign supreme over the rest of the populace. Follow Shad as he develops the strength to survive in this new world and reaches heights thought to be unattainable for mortals, all in a quest to learn the truth behind his reincarnation and the purple lightning that resides in his soul.

Old Yan was a typical representative of the people who liked watching the fun. If Old Gu still worried if Yang Shuxin was well prepared, Old Yan became happier when he got to know Yang Shuxin and Yuan Zhou would sculpt their own Nine Dragon Sculpture respectively in a competing way. 
"There'll be a good show to enjoy," Old Yan muttered in a low voice. 
Anyway, the ice sculpting started. 
Yang Shuxin had a complete range of carving knives in various models and even the rasps used for polishing. All the tools were placed in a row, which gave people a sense of professionalism. 
On the contrary, Yuan Zhou had only one ordinary kitchen knife in his hand. On the aspect of professionalism, he was a little inferior, but actually, he wasn't defeated at all. His confident demeanor was as if to say "With the kitchen knife in my hand, I can take control of the whole world." 
The carving knife emitted a sound of "Ca Ca" when it flashed across the ice block. Yang Shuxin had started. It was a good-sized carving knife in his hand. He was going to sculpt out the rough contour of the dragons first. 
He got started quickly and boldly. Not long after that, the square ice block turned into an odd irregular polygonal shape.
Of course, it was of odd shape now as Yang Shuxin hadn't started to sculpt the details. With a slight movement of his hand, Yang Shuxin had replaced the good-sized carving knife with a medium-sized carving knife swiftly. The whole course of actions looked as natural and smooth as the floating clouds and flowing water. 
Even the surrounding customers who supported Yuan Zhou couldn't help highly praising the swift action of changing knives. God knows how many years he had practiced to make it appear so smooth and natural. 
Yang Shuxin gradually entered a concentrated state. And naturally, Yuan Zhou was unlikely to stare blankly at him. He also started to sculpt. 
The distinction between an experienced person and an inexperienced one was greater than that between an academic person and an ordinary person, just like Yuan Zhou and Yang Shuxin. 
Yang Shuxin first started with the rough contour of the entire sculpture while Yuan Zhou just began to sculpt the dragons one by one. 
The kitchen knife in his hand was like a silver butterfly that gleamed with a cold light. With its wings flapping for a few times in the air, a long body of the Chinese dragon gradually took shape. 
Everything was going well for both sides, especially with Yang Shuxin. The start was even better than ever. 
"My teacher might actually be able to complete the Nine Dragon Sculpture alone this time." Little Feng was longing for this result at the side. 
"But what exactly is Master Yuan sculpting?" Little Feng looked at Yuan Zhou's ice block and felt he could no longer understand him. If there had been a contour of the dragon, the body of the dragon looked as if it had been cut off now. 
Although the Nine Dragon Sculpture could be nine Chinese dragons in various forms, a broken one was hardly justifiable, as it was way too inauspicious. 
Little Feng was an assistant in name, but he had also learned under Yang Shuxin for many years. Even so, however, he had never seen anybody sculpt in this way. 
That was really a mystery.
As the minutes ticked by, the onlookers were much quieter. However, the number of people didn't become less, but instead, tended to become more and more. 
Some onlookers left, but more joined, just like the mischievous kid who hadn't filmed anything valuable last time. And because of the strict regulations of the Education Bureau, teachers give less homework now than before, which resulted in a lower turnover in the homework business and the tottering of the secondary market. 
It was a competition of sculpting skills today. He could shoot a long film and then split it up before posting it to his live stream, episode by episode. This way, he could get donations from his audiences and earn some money. 
"Teachers are giving less homework, the market is shrinking and the demand is decreasing. So I must film the video very well this time so I can earn some money. When I withdraw the donated money out of my account, I'm going to open up the market to Grade 1 and Grade 3 of the middle schools. Based on the homework that doesn't require thinking but only writing and writing, I will try to open up the third market. In this way, there will be no slow-moving resources and I can build a simulation that completely avoids the NET system." The mischievous kid muttered some technical terms excitedly.

Old Yan nodded his head, "Flying Dragon, Ascending Dragon, In-Cloud Dragon, Coiling Dragon, Curling Dragon, Crouching Dragon, Combating Dragon, Soaring Dragon and finally, the River-Stirring Dragon. None of them is identical. Such a Nine Dragon Sculpture is really of true value." 
From the perspective of the dragon shapes sculpted by Yang Shuxin, the sculpture was simply a dazzling light in most people's eyes, just as mentioned before. Fundamentally speaking, there were only five basic dragon shapes and others were all derived from them. 
Just like the River-Stirring Dragon. On the bottom of the sculpture was a river. The dragon hid its tail in the river and flew up with its head exposed to the air. It was actually the combination of both the Ascending Dragon and Soaring Dragon. 
Most people could understand the difficulties even just by thinking about it. The Nine Dragon Sculpture originally wasn't easy to sculpt, let alone nine dragons in different forms. On Yang Shuxin's Nine Dragon Sculpture, the bottom part was the river while the upper part was the sky and Longpan Mountain. The contents were abundant but not messy. 
"Little Boss Yuan's sculpture is a little difficult to understand," said Old Yan, "But I have to say the head of the Chinese dragon is really nice. It really requires genuine capabilities to be able to sculpt such a complicated and vivid head of Chinese dragon." 
As an inexperienced sculptor, Yuan Zhou started to sculpt the dragon head after he finished the dragon body halfway. 
There were many varieties of dragons in the Chinese legend, like Ying Dragon, Wang Dragon or even Pan Dragon. But actually, the dragons in the Nine Dragon Sculpture were all Xing Dragons. Like the old saying, "The snake evolves into Jiao[1] after it lives for one thousand years; Jiao evolves into Dragons after one thousand years; and Dragons evolves into Xing Dragons after another one thousand years. 
Neither Yang Shuxin or Yuan Zhou spent time and energy on the varieties of the Chinese dragons. So it was also a difficult job to sculpt out the differences between the nine dragons. 
Yang Shuxin used a very ordinary method, which had been used in almost all multi-dragon sculptures. The dragons were differentiated by the eyes, dragon horns and, sizes. For example, the double dragons on the ornamental pillars in the Imperial Palace. They were different in their eyes and sizes. 
When Yuan Zhou thought about this matter yesterday, he felt people seemed to be unable to tell the differences if they didn't observe it carefully. Therefore, Yuan Zhou decided to change another way. 
That was through emotions, including happiness, anger, sorrow, delight, anxiety, longing, sadness, terror, and astonishment. 
Nine emotions. That was right. Of the nine Chinese dragons sculpted by Yuan Zhou, their eyes, dragon horns or sizes were all the same. The only difference was the emotions of the dragons. 
The most common emotion evoked by Chinese dragons was majestic. Nothing else. But Yuan Zhou just wanted to add emotions in the eyes of the dragons. 
So Yuan Zhou's Nine Dragon Sculpture could be considered as Nine Cloud Dragon Lines, or more specifically, A Dragon In The Clouds That Turned Into Nine Dragons. 
Just because they were far from the sculpture and couldn't see it clearly, Old Gu, Old Yan, and other onlookers found it hard to understand. If they stayed closer, they could nevertheless see the emotions in the eyes of the three dragons that were being sculpted. 
For example, one of the dragons had extraordinarily protruding brow ridges; the eyes were big and vigorous; the teeth were slightly open; and the dragon's whiskers moving by itself. That was anger. 
And for the next one, the mouth was a little more curved. That was happiness. 
It had to be admitted that all the nine emotions of the dragons were very hard to tell if they were true or not. The Chinese dragon itself was a fiction, no one had ever seen any. Nor could they imagine what it looked like when it smiled. 
The only disadvantage was that he must imagine all of them alone without any reference. However, everything had two sides. 
If nobody had ever imagined that, Yuan Zhou could do whatever he wanted to create one. 
Nine forms of dragons. Anyhow, Yuan Zhou stayed up all night yesterday once in a blue moon and did nothing but watch Animal World. 
All in all, Yuan Zhou did his utmost today in order to defeat Yang Shuxin.

“The price is fairly expensive over there, 288RMB for a set meal of Egg Fried Rice and a bowl of soup. Ah, and an extra small plate of pickled vegetables as well. Even so, there are still a long line of people queuing up and waiting for a taste. Reservations are not accepted there, only waiting and queuing personally is allowed. 
“Numerous people fly there on their private planes just to queue up. Furthermore, parking bays and parking spots are not provided there. The service is terrible here. Customers have to clear the tableware themselves and wipe the table as well. For god’s sake, the boss is literally crazy.”

As I've written in the Comedy Analysis: Me cutting my finger is a tragedy, you falling in a sewer and dying is comedy gold (loosely quoted since my goal is to talk about tragedy, ladies and gentlemen).

Now there are many misconceptions of what makes a tragedy. In truth, tragedy is neither horrific nor suspenseful... It is merely sad. There was a kid who got hit by a car under a bridge in my neighbourhood.

He was a good kid... kind, helpful, and the kind of ordinary child you'd look at and want to see the bright future of. However, one day, while he was coming home from school, he was hit by a speeding car of a woman who was texting on her phone.

Does hearing about this make you feel sad? Well good, because this is a tragedy we're talking about.

Story's are meant to let us feel a wide variety of emotions whether they are negative, positive or anything else. Some have the misconception that a story 'must be enjoyable' to be appreciated, which is shortsighted view to understand tragedies.

Even people of the past saw tales that warned of consequences for foolish actions as something that can be 'enjoyed' in theatre. The term 'Greek Tragedy' was coined to tales that served as lessons to those who could understand the deeper subtext.

Shakespeare has written about a man trying to avenge himself after suffering tragedy, yet he chose not to romanticise this 'Avenger' in theatre and put focus on the ensuing tragedies that came from carving out a path of blood to get to your goals...

Good, bad... right and wrong, how is a tragedy meant to teach us this? If the writer of a tragedy was extremely blatant with his messages, he would have been kicked out of Greek Theatre in a heartbeat.

Rather than being a Pen Warrior who only speaks of injustice but do not understand the entirety of the audience you are presented with. It is better to talk about tragedy with a more objective stance on the matter. After all, tragedies themselves are not 'evil'.

If tragedies happen because of evil, then who could be blamed for the accident that caused a young boy to die in my neighbourhood? Was it the woman driver who was careless, or was it God responsible?

Normally, the careless individuals who become the cause of an accident are stricken with as much grief as the victim's family members from the guilt of what they have done... so could you define them as 'evil'?

What about God who let an innocent child die without having the chance to see his own future?

Perhaps there are times when a tragedy is the ACTUALLY the result of ill-will such as a house robbery like that in the 'Law-Abiding Citizen' movie I saw a few years ago. However, that one was more of a thriller that used the tragedy as a foundation for its story rather than a pure tragedy and the sense of powerlessness people have after the incident...

A regular tragedy is a cautionary tale to spark distress and sadness in their reader's, a profound gift from the story's author... However, that doesn't mean that tragedy can't be used with other genres.

The thing is that, normally, rather than showing something sad. Those who write tragedy blended with other genres tend to allow one of their characters to experience the brunt of the sadness we feel and make a decision that perhaps even we wouldn't dare to choose. This makes us hopeful...

In Law-Abiding Citizen, the main character commits atrocity after atrocity towards the criminals that had directly caused the 'tragedy' that killed his whole family. However, we never feel that he is wrong...

That's because we know the true extent of how this tragedy changed our originally kind protagonist. We feel happy to see him enact revenge, but we also feel grief when we realise his powerlessness of being unable to bring his family back. To him, revenge is an act of trying to attain salvation. However, to us, we are left wondering what was the point of it all...

A tragedy can never be reversed unless you can travel through time and stop it from taking place.

We, the readers, can stay detached from a tragedy in a take, but how would we feel in HIS situation?

Would we do the same?

It's complicated... and that is fine. Tragedies are food for thought to readers and the reality of their fiction. 

If your character is corrupted by the turmoil or if he finds the will to move past that 'incident', then that story is no longer a tragedy... No, it becomes much more, as there are infinite possibilities for the future.

Whether you choose to let your character live in the past or moved past the tragedy and into a different genre is your own choice. However, the scars of the tragedy must remain... just as it would on us.

Tragedies are not written to be forgotten, as they will stay in our hearts long after. How we choose to live after the fact is both our choice and what will give what happened meaning. Because if we don't give tragedy meaning ourselves, we will start living in a senseless world where the death of someone close wouldn't matter. A very dreadful world of death...

Well, that's all I have. Be sure to make meaning and give meaning, because it is always 'meaningful'.

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

It was early morning, when Chen Fan finally reached Zhongyuan City with a joyful heart.
The "fight" on the bed just now, had not been any easier than finishing a triathlon. He now felt extremely hungry. After he drove to the city center, both of his eyes eagerly scanned the restaurants nearby.
Although none of the upscale restaurants were open yet, there were many barbeque stalls that were still open for business. So, he pulled up to place his order.
"Boss, give me two kilograms of lamb shashlik, three sizzling squid, and…"
"Ah…" the barbeque stall owner was immediately dumbstruck, as witnessing a sports car that could only be seen in an auto show, parked right in front of his stall, was not an everyday sight! In fact, he kind of looked as if he had been struck dead by lightning!
Even the noisy young customers were completely stunned at the scene. Aside from the sizzling sound that was coming from the grill, the place had fallen into a complete silence.
"Pretentious!" The youngsters, who were dressed like hooligans, snickered in unison!
While he waited for his food, Chen Fan received many rude stares from countless eyeballs. After receiving his food from the hawker, he did not even bother to collect the extra change. Instead, he quickly got in his car and drove away.
It was now four in the morning, and Chen Fan was tossing and turning in his bed. He could not fall asleep. The event that happened a few hours ago was still playing in his mind, just like a movie. He simply couldn't get rid of it.
Chen Fan sighed, then got out of the stone-like bed. He switched on his laptop, figuring that he would try to kill some time by reading web fiction.

The surface of the sea glimmered as the sun shone upon it. It appeared as if a layer of shattered silver was blanketed on it. It also looked like a crumpled piece of blue brocade.
The soothing mist and the slightly fishy-smelling sea breeze felt somehow healing, like the fragrance from a maiden's lips. The mixture of it made it irresistible, so much so, that everyone could not help but take an extra breath. 
The workmanship of the sloop yacht was extremely exquisite. The front of the hull and the shipboard were evenly covered in resin, and a layer of thorny flowers, which looked as it they were entwining the silver shell, were sculpted on it. It dazzled fascinatingly under the reflection of the sun. The white sail, which had been made from some sort of beast hide, fluttered along with the sea breeze, hanging on a column, which had a rhombus-shaped carving on it.
If any scientists were to have witnessed the scene, they would definitely have rolled up their sleeves and dashed toward the sloop yacht. This was not because the workmanship of the sloop yacht had exceeded the limits of human technology, but rather that one of the two people now standing on the deck deserved to be dragged into the lab and sliced open for experimental purposes!
The one standing at the left was an old man. He wore a purple brocade robe with a gorgeous crescent-shaped heraldry embedded on the chest. His jawline looked as if it had been chiseled with a knife, as it was extremely sharp and well-defined. His white hair and slightly wrinkled face made it rather difficult for others to guess his actual age.
The guy standing beside him was the one who deserved to be dragged to a lab and sliced open for experimental purposes. He was extremely tall and had a black beast hide, which was wrapped around his waist. He had grayish-green skin, and his head looked hideous. His muscles looked just like reinforced iron, to the point that even Shaquille O'Neal would look inferior by comparison!
"Argyll, what kind of rubbish nautical chart did you provide me with? It has been 12 days, and I still have not even seen a single drop of bird dung!" The green monster waved his hands desperately, roaring with an almost distorted expression.
"We were lucky enough not be caught in the terrifying storm. What are you still hoping for?"
The old man named Argyll took out a parchment scroll from his bosom, then squatted down and opened it up. "Look! According to the nautical chart and my calculations, we're now close to Roanoke Island. As long as we wait patiently for a few more days, we will definitely be able to reach our destination."
"Wait patiently for a few more days? Argyll, you sneaky old man! Why did you abduct me?" Barru's eyes turned red. He held his casserole-sized fist in front the old man. "I'm fed up with the endless drifting. We have already eaten up our last breakfast. Do you intend to make soup out of your deer hide bed for the next following days?"
Argyll touched his beard awkwardly. "Let me investigate on it a bit more!"As he finished his sentence, he drew from his pocket a little rounded silver box that looked like a pocket watch. After opening the box, he placed it on the parchment scroll, then fiddled with it with nonstop.
"Tell me when your investigation results are out. I need to chug a few big bowls of cold water. Otherwise, my stomach is going to start trying to digest itself," said Barru, with a hint of sarcasm. He then dashed into the cabin.
After half a day, Barru, whose stomach was now filled with cold water, ran to the deck, shouting, "Argyll, I have bad news! We have completely consumed all of the freshwater in our storage."
"You glutton! You consume more than a bear!" Argyll, who had been investigating the nautical chart, lifted his head to reply. "Since we ran out of freshwater, we have no choice but to wait for our deaths. When that time comes, we shall compete. Let's see who can last till the end."

Gradually, as Wang Lin carved, he seemed to gain something he had lost 400  years ago. With every stroke, he seemed to return to his childhood, back to  when he lived in that small village. 

At that moment, the spiritual energy in Wang Lin’s body began to move. It  became deeply ingrained within the statue he was carving. 

Time flew by and night arrived again when Wang Lin regained his senses. He  looked at the block of wood in his hand. The block of wood had turned into a  wood carving. The carving was that of a middle aged man with a kind smile. 

The middle aged man wore a coarse robe and his hands were filled with rough  lines. 

Although this wood carving was very rough, it seemed to be alive. Waves of  spiritual energy spread out from the carving. As Wang Lin stared at the  carving, he began to feel pain in his heart. 

His right hand gently rubbed the carving as he muttered, “Father, your son  misses you greatly…” 

After pondering for a long time, Wang Lin moved the wood carving to the side.  He picked up another piece of wood and wholeheartedly began to carve again,  stroke by stroke. 

The night began to get cold, but going a day without sleep was nothing for  Wang Lin. Back when he was being chased, he would be running for days. 

The moment the sun rose, the carving that Wang Lin was working on took shape.  This wood carving was shaped like a middle aged woman. Her loving eyes looked  into the distance as if she was waiting for her child to return. 

He placed the two wood carvings next to each other and let out a long sigh as  he took out another piece of wood and began to carve. 

Time slowly passed. Wang Lin kept on carving and only took breaks when he  became extremely tired. 

In the blink of an eye, a month had passed. The number of things in Wang Lin’s  shop gradually increased. The shelves along the wall of the shop were filled  with wood carvings that looked alive. There were males and females, young  people and old people, and all in various poses. 

These wood carvings were all residents of the village that was Wang Lin’s  hometown. In a way, Wang Lin had revived them. 

In this month, Wang Lin didn’t have a single customer, but he didn’t mind as  he was immersed in carving. He even stopped cultivating. 

One day, Wang Lin held a half-completed wood carving in his hand. This wood  carving, for some unknown reason, released a primal aura. If any cultivator  from the Sea of Devils saw this carving, they would immediately recognize it as  a dragon. 

This dragon was the first spirit beast that Wang Lin met when he was with Li  Muwan. 

While he was carving, the bell rang as the door was pushed open by someone. A  very strong looking boy carefully looked inside. 

The boy saw Wang Lin and was startled, but he was immediately in awe after  seeing all of the carvings in the room. He asked, “Uncle, did you carve all of  this? They are so pretty! Can you give me one?” 

Wang Lin let out a smile and put down the carving in his hand. He grabbed a  wood carving from one of the shelves. This was the carving of a person, a  person that Wang Lin was very familiar with named Wang Hao. 

The boy before him looked similar to Wang Hao back then. 

After the boy received the wood carving, he let out a cheer. He held it in his  hands like a treasure and said to Wang Lin, with a crisp voice, “Thank you,  uncle! I’m from the iron workshop across the street. Goodbye!” With that, he  ran out of the shop and shouted, “Mom! Look! Uncle gave me this!” 

Wang Lin stood up and walked to the entrance of the shop. He saw a man and  woman come out of the shop across the street. The two looked lovingly at the  boy. The man took the wood carving and his eyes suddenly lit up. He walked  toward Wang Lin with the wood carving and said, “Little brother, kids don’t  know too well. How much for this carving?” 

Wang Lin shook his head and said, “I gave it to him. It is only a piece of  wood.” 

The boy’s father hesitated for a bit. He looked at Wang Lin and smiled. “You  just arrived here, correct? I haven’t seen you before.” 

Wang Lin smiled and nodded. 

The boy’s father smiled and said, “Little brother, if you don’t mind, come  over for a meal. I have homemade fruit wine that is much better than those from  those restaurants.” 

Wang Lin felt a very strange feeling in his heart. This was a feeling he  hadn’t felt in 400 years. After hesitating for a bit, he nodded. 

The boy’s mother was a very kind woman. Although she was very young, she was  very patient and mild. From looking at them, Wang Lin could tell that they were  a very happy family. 

Their child was cute and the couple loved each other. 

Inside the iron workshop, there was a square table with a few homemade dishes  on it. Even though Wang Lin didn’t need to eat anymore, he still picked up his  chopsticks and ate a few bites. 

While drinking the homemade fruit wine that the man was so proud of and eating  a loving homemade meal, Wang Lin’s mind became even calmer than it was when he  was with the caravan. The spiritual energy in his body moved in a way that it  never had before. 

 This wine was indeed very good wine. It had a good aftertaste.  

Since this day, a new essential entered Wang Lin’s life: the fruit wine. The  boy would come almost every day to watch Wang Lin carve, and every time he  came, he would bring a jug of fruit wine. 

Gradually, Wang Lin’s shop was filled with wood carvings and a majority of  them were beasts. He had carved out almost all of the beasts he had met in the  past 400 years. However, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t finish the  carvings of those high quality spirit beasts and desolate beasts. 

There were large amounts of spiritual energy gathered within each carving.  Mortals couldn’t feel it, but if any cultivator were to pass by, they would be  terrified. 

That was because the power of the spiritual energy in these carvings wasn’t  weaker than any low quality magic treasure. Some of the spiritual energy in  these carvings matched mid quality magic treasures. 

How could these still be considered wood carvings? These were obviously magic  treasures made of deadwood.

{ Valrick's POV }

It had been three years since I had chose to reincarnate in the world of the Avatar which wasn't pleasant experience as I expected it to be. The cause of the unpleasant experience was obviously being a baby which was one of the most uncomfortable moments of my lives. I had found out that my new name in this life is Jialong when I heard my parents say it. 

The funny thing about my name was the meaning of my name. I had found out from my parents that my name means Water Dragon which is ironic as I am a water bender so the water part makes sense but also I'm a firebender so the dragon makes sense since in this world dragons are the original practitioner of firebending.

I also felt very sad for my birth parents of this world as they had given birth to me and also protected me from the fire nation. I could also tell from the few moments that I spent with them that they wanted to really raise me but alas couldn't make it happen due to the fire nation. 

Being a baby sucks as I have to pretend cry to eat or for my parents to change my diaper which was really embarrassing for someone who is an adult but in a baby's body. I decided to act like a baby for a few months and then gradually becoming more mature so that I don't raise any suspicion.

My new parents treated me like any other parents would as they treated me with lots of love that most parents give to their child. I was grateful that they treated me like I was their own blood which made me happy as I missed those days I had with my other parents.

At first I did not accept them as my parents as I still thought of my other parents as my real parents but because of how they treated me, I gradually started to accept them as my parents.

Since a baby's vocal cords begin to develop around the age of 2-3 months, I decided to start saying my first words around the age of 6-7 months.

I decided to speak my first word when I was drinking the milk one afternoon. I really desperately wanted to say bland while drinking the milk as it did taste bland but I decided to say the standard word that every baby says to make their parent happy.

Speaking my first word was awkward as I hadn't used to the word Mama since ages but I decided to speak it anyways to bring happiness to my parents which in turn made me happy for them.

I'm now three years old and also I graciously have the title of a genius by the whole village as I matured way faster than the rest of the kids in the village. Since I learned way faster than the kids of my age in my village, I was graciously presented with the title of a genius which I don't really care about as it does not help me in any way and rather it is more of a disadvantage than an advantage.

I think around the age of 3-4 that a child is able to bend their respective element which means that I soon should be able to bend fire and water which I'm really excited for as I have lots of plans that will help me get really powerful that even the avatar won't be able to defeat me.

'For now I should strengthen my physical strength for times when I have to fight people without bending and instead use hand to hand combat and also use weapons to defeat a bender or non bender.' I thought of prioritising my physical strength right now since I can bend my element yet

To strengthen my physical body I decided to small and less intense body exercises and to make my body more flexible and agile, I decided to do stretching that helps the body become more flexible which is going to be beneficial in the future.


{ Third Person POV }

Jialong began to do small exercises before he got ready to freshen up and get ready to go to his village school which was a piece of cake for him.

For his exercises he decided to do some 5 sit-ups, 4 push-ups, 3 pull-ups, lots of stretches and few laps around his house which was the maximum amount of times he could do before he got tired and before his body started to ache.

Since he already was able to speak English, he didn't have any problem communicating with the villages or rather won't have trouble communicating with anyone since the universal language in this world is English. The obstacle for him was the literature of this world as it was in Chinese which he didn't study in his past life so he didn't know a single shit about it.

But with his trusted photographic memory, it took his a month or two to learn the alphabet properly. With a lot of practice, he became fluent in writing in the Chinese alphabet.

Since Jialong lived in the 21st century where the world was filled with different platforms for entertainment, he had nothing that could entertain him in this world.

'Fuck there's nothing for me to do except play with the kids but that is weird since I'm much older than them and also it's too childish for me. If I had the mind of a younger them I'm sure I would have fun playing with them.' Jialong complained about his situation as he had no form of entertainment except playing with kids which he didn't want to do.

'There is Pai Sho which I could play with the adults in the village but that would be too weird for the adults seeing a three year old competing with them as I'm sure I could become a good player if I know the rules and if I play a few games.' 

Jialong decided to create the game of chess in this world as he was a really good player or at least he considered himself to be in his previous life so he would dominate anyone who he plays against.

'I should create Chess when I'm around six. I should also hand carve the pieces since I have nothing else to do and charge few gold pieces for it.' Jialong thought in his head about his plan to get some cash which involved him carving it which would make the price higher than the standard manufactured by machines.

'I'll start carving wood to make the chess pieces in about a year so that I can start selling them when I'm nine and travelling the world.' Jialong thought to himself of a plan that will include himself travelling the world to get stronger and also make money by selling his chess set.

"Jialong, come downstairs and eat your dinner. We are having roast duck tonight." Jialong heard his mother shout from downstairs while he was scheming his plans for the future.

'Planning can come later as eating takes priority and I really want to eat that duck.' Jialong rushed downstairs as roast duck was one of his favourite dishes that he had in this lifetime.

"Someone is excited to have their dinner" Yihi said to Jialong, seeing him rush to the dinner table and in response Jialong gave a nod.

Jialong quickly sat on the chair and began stuffing his mouth with the pieces of roast duck which was seasoned with different spices and definitely wasn't bland or raw. While Jialong as stuffing his mouth, his father and mother also sat on the chairs and joined in.

"So how was your day you two" Yihi asked to start a conversation as the room was just filled with sound of eating which irked her a bit.

"Can't talk, must eat" They both gave a reply in return which in turn made Yihi shake her head with a smile at their behaviour.

Once they had finished their dinner, they went to their living room where they talked about their day but that soon finished as they soon got tired and sleepy.

*Yawn*


"We should get going and get some good night sleep" Inok said to his wife and his son noticing the yawn that came out of Jialong.

They took Jialong to his room which was right next to theirs which was convenient for them as they could quickly go to his room if there was an emergency.


"Good night, have sweet dreams sweetheart" Yihi said to Jialong while tucking him in his bed.

"Good night mom, dad" Jialong said to his mom and dad in return.

It has been about 3 months since Jialong had plans to create the game of chess in this world and he decided to create the pieces early on as he really had nothing to do in his house except play with the toys that he didn't enjoy playing with but still played with it since his parents bought it for him with affection

The only thing that distracted him was wandering around the forest and climbing the small trees which he enjoyed quite a lot as it gave him nostalgic feeling of his past life where he used to climb trees in his back yard.

Jialong asked his father that he wants to carve wood as he saw someone in the village carving it and also he was bored and wanted something to do. Inok supported him as he wanted Jialong to have a hobby which would help him in later life as it eases stress and anxiety.

Since Inok also carved wood in his spare time, he had the tools and materials that would help Jialong in wood carving so he didn't need to buy new equipments for wood carving.

Their house was filled with wooden models that Inok carved as their was wooden models of animals and also the frames of the mirrors and other furniture was carved by him.

Inok thought that the wood carving would be a good father son bonding time so he decided to make the most of it. He took his son outside in the garden where they wouldn't make a mess indoors and his wife wouldn't complain and also the weather was beautiful with the blue sky and the gentle cold breeze.

"The first thing you need to know about wood carving is the types of wood carving there are. There is Whittling, Relief Carving, Chip Carving and Carving in the round" Inok then explained each carving in detail and when to use those types for an object.

"Do you understand" Inok asked and Jialong nodded in return.

He then began to explain the materials and also the different carving tools that are used for the different styles of carving.

"Since you are a beginner, the best wood for you to use is basswood which is used by beginners and would be perfect for you." Basswood was one of the easiest wood to carve so he gave it to Jialong as he was a beginner.

"So, have any idea on what you want to carve." Inok asked his son which lead Jialong to think about what he wanted to carve.

After thinking for some time Jialong came up with carving a butterfly out of the wood which shouldn't be too difficult if he takes his time.

He started carving out the basic shapes and by the time he was finished carving the basic shape, it was already getting dark and he had to go inside.

"Dad, can I also carve the wood in my room"  wanted to finish carving since he hated leaving incompleted work and also had another plan in his mind.

"Sure, but make sure you don't make too much mess or injure yourself as I don't want to sleep in the couch tonight" Inok said with a laugh towards the end. Jialong decided to act confused as if he doesn't know what Inok is talking about since it would be strange if he actually understand the joke as a three year old.

"Forget what I said" Inok said to his son, seeing the confusion on his face and wanted him to ignore what he had just said.

Jialong also took extra wood pieces to carve out his chess pieces which wouldn't take him to long as the shapes are easy to carve out.

He started to work on his butterfly until he got down the details of the butterfly and then began to work on his chess pieces which didn't take him too much time as his butterfly which had a lot more detail than the chess pieces.

It had been about 6 months since Jialong had started wood carving and he had already carved 20 chess set pieces except the board which would take too much space his room so he decided to just carve out the chess pieces.

Other than the chess pieces, he had also started to carve out different animals and objects which increased his skill in wood carving since he got faster and better at carving wood that his skill in carving was really high.

His wood carvings of the animals and objects took most of the time whereas the chess pieces only took a portion of the time. Overall he was proud of his work and so were his parents.

He also decided to take drawing and painting as his hobby as he wanted to try something different and also some he was quite a good artist in his past life.

The scenery he could draw about was amazing as he lived in a forest where there was variety of trees and plants which he could draw and there were a range of different animals that were unique and diverse that he could also draw.

"I should draw a flower this time." Jialong visited the forest to look for a beautiful flower which he could draw then paint.

He walked around for a bit until he came across a beautiful red and white flower which he wanted to draw about.

"Is this a White Dragon Bush or is it a White Jade Bush which causes blindness. Either way, it's not like I'm just going to try a random flower in the wild that could poison me." Jialong thought with a smile remembering Iroh trying to make tea out of a poisonous flower.

As soon as he finished drawing the flower, he decided to pack up and then go back to his house before it got too dark and before dangerous animals lurk around there.

"I'll start with small amounts of water since I'm a beginner and also should master chi manipulation to be better bending" Jialong said to himself 

"Since Aang and Katara mastered water bending in about a few months which is only possible if the they had plot armour"


"I'll start working on water bending and when I finish this training then I'll start working on fire"

Jialong gathered a small bowl of water to bend and practiced his wrist movement to start bending and after 10 minutes he started to bend the water in mid air into a ball.

His goal was to bend the water into a sharp ice spike to throw into a tree which would be used for offense.

After practicing for an hour he started to get results as he manage to freeze the water into a ice spike but what he was aiming for was to form it in mid air so that he could launch it towards his target.

To form a spike, he had to concentrate keeping the ball of water flowing while simultaneously forming a spike and making it freeze which took a lot of concentration and time since it was his first time bending.

Will a lot of resilience and perseverance, he managed to form the ice spike in 15 seconds and launched it towards a tree near his house.

"Damn, my aim is bad" Jialong said to himself after observing the ice spike that he threw and seeing his shot not going anywhere near as he had intented.

"I really need to start practicing aiming or else the ice spike would be useless if I can't hit my target" Jialong came you with another goal which is to practice his aiming as it was really crucial in a fight and he wants to be the strongest so he needs to be good as possible at everything in fighting.

"I need to form the spike much faster rather than taking 15 seconds to form just a single water spike." 

Jialong began practicing forming spike much faster than his previous attempts until he manage to form the spike under two seconds. By the end of the day, Jialong practiced enough to be able form a spike under two seconds and figured out a use for the spike in a battle.

"I should be getting home before my parents get worried" Jialong said to himself noticing the sun setting and the sky getting darker.

"But before that I'll need one more shot." Jialong before he quickly formed a ice spike and hit dead on the target which he drew on the tree.

"I'll start working on blood bending in a few months but before that I need to work on more moves with water bending" 

Jialong after throughout of infusing a martial that suits with water bending rather using the standard water bending moves which is inspired by Tai Chi Chuan.

'I'll try to use a different martial art that may suit with waterbending' Jialong thought in his head while walking towards his house enjoying the scenery along with it

The funny thing about my name was the meaning of my name. I had found out from my parents that my name means Water Dragon which is ironic as I am a water bender so the water part makes sense but also I'm a firebender so the dragon makes sense since in this world dragons are the original practitioner of firebending.

I also felt very sad for my birth parents of this world as they had given birth to me and also protected me from the fire nation. I could also tell from the few moments that I spent with them that they wanted to really raise me but alas couldn't make it happen due to the fire nation. 

Being a baby sucks as I have to pretend cry to eat or for my parents to change my diaper which was really embarrassing for someone who is an adult but in a baby's body. I decided to act like a baby for a few months and then gradually becoming more mature so that I don't raise any suspicion.

My new parents treated me like any other parents would as they treated me with lots of love that most parents give to their child. I was grateful that they treated me like I was their own blood which made me happy as I missed those days I had with my other parents.

At first I did not accept them as my parents as I still thought of my other parents as my real parents but because of how they treated me, I gradually started to accept them as my parents.

Since a baby's vocal cords begin to develop around the age of 2-3 months, I decided to start saying my first words around the age of 6-7 months.

I decided to speak my first word when I was drinking the milk one afternoon. I really desperately wanted to say bland while drinking the milk as it did taste bland but I decided to say the standard word that every baby says to make their parent happy.

Speaking my first word was awkward as I hadn't used to the word Mama since ages but I decided to speak it anyways to bring happiness to my parents which in turn made me happy for them.

I'm now three years old and also I graciously have the title of a genius by the whole village as I matured way faster than the rest of the kids in the village. Since I learned way faster than the kids of my age in my village, I was graciously presented with the title of a genius which I don't really care about as it does not help me in any way and rather it is more of a disadvantage than an advantage.

I think around the age of 3-4 that a child is able to bend their respective element which means that I soon should be able to bend fire and water which I'm really excited for as I have lots of plans that will help me get really powerful that even the avatar won't be able to defeat me.

'For now I should strengthen my physical strength for times when I have to fight people without bending and instead use hand to hand combat and also use weapons to defeat a bender or non bender.' I thought of prioritising my physical strength right now since I can bend my element yet

To strengthen my physical body I decided to small and less intense body exercises and to make my body more flexible and agile, I decided to do stretching that helps the body become more flexible which is going to be beneficial in the future.


{ Third Person POV }

Jialong began to do small exercises before he got ready to freshen up and get ready to go to his village school which was a piece of cake for him.

For his exercises he decided to do some 5 sit-ups, 4 push-ups, 3 pull-ups, lots of stretches and few laps around his house which was the maximum amount of times he could do before he got tired and before his body started to ache.

Since he already was able to speak English, he didn't have any problem communicating with the villages or rather won't have trouble communicating with anyone since the universal language in this world is English. The obstacle for him was the literature of this world as it was in Chinese which he didn't study in his past life so he didn't know a single shit about it.

But with his trusted photographic memory, it took his a month or two to learn the alphabet properly. With a lot of practice, he became fluent in writing in the Chinese alphabet.

Since Jialong lived in the 21st century where the world was filled with different platforms for entertainment, he had nothing that could entertain him in this world.

'Fuck there's nothing for me to do except play with the kids but that is weird since I'm much older than them and also it's too childish for me. If I had the mind of a younger them I'm sure I would have fun playing with them.' Jialong complained about his situation as he had no form of entertainment except playing with kids which he didn't want to do.

'There is Pai Sho which I could play with the adults in the village but that would be too weird for the adults seeing a three year old competing with them as I'm sure I could become a good player if I know the rules and if I play a few games.' 

Jialong decided to create the game of chess in this world as he was a really good player or at least he considered himself to be in his previous life so he would dominate anyone who he plays against.

'I should create Chess when I'm around six. I should also hand carve the pieces since I have nothing else to do and charge few gold pieces for it.' Jialong thought in his head about his plan to get some cash which involved him carving it which would make the price higher than the standard manufactured by machines.

'I'll start carving wood to make the chess pieces in about a year so that I can start selling them when I'm nine and travelling the world.' Jialong thought to himself of a plan that will include himself travelling the world to get stronger and also make money by selling his chess set.

"Valrick, come downstairs and eat your dinner. We are having roast duck tonight." Jialong heard his mother shout from downstairs while he was scheming his plans for the future.

'Planning can come later as eating takes priority and I really want to eat that duck.' Jialong rushed downstairs as roast duck was one of his favourite dishes that he had in this lifetime.

"Someone is excited to have their dinner" Yihi said to Jiallnn, seeing him rush to the dinner table and in response Jialong gave a nod.

Jialong quickly sat on the chair and began stuffing his mouth with the pieces of roast duck which was seasoned with different spices and definitely wasn't bland or raw. While Jialong as stuffing his mouth, his father and mother also sat on the chairs and joined in.

"So how was your day you two" Yihi asked to start a conversation as the room was just filled with sound of eating which irked her a bit.

"Can't talk, must eat" They both gave a reply in return which in turn made Yihi shake her head with a smile at their behaviour.

Once they had finished their dinner, they went to their living room where they talked about their day but that soon finished as they soon got tired and sleepy.

*Yawn*


"We should get going and get some good night sleep" Inok said to his wife and his son noticing the yawn that came out of Jialong.

They took Jialong to his room which was right next to theirs which was convenient for them as they could quickly go to his room if there was an emergency.


"Good night, have sweet dreams sweetheart" Yihi said to Jialong while tucking him in his bed.

"Good night mom, dad" Jialong said to his mom and dad in return.

It has been about 3 months since Jialong had plans to create the game of chess in this world and he decided to create the pieces early on as he really had nothing to do in his house except play with the toys that he didn't enjoy playing with but still played with it since his parents bought it for him with affection

The only thing that distracted him was wandering around the forest and climbing the small trees which he enjoyed quite a lot as it gave him nostalgic feeling of his past life where he used to climb trees in his back yard.

Jialong asked his father that he wants to carve wood as he saw someone in the village carving it and also he was bored and wanted something to do. Inok supported him as he wanted Jialong to have a hobby which would help him in later life as it eases stress and anxiety.

Since Inok also carved wood in his spare time, he had the tools and materials that would help Jialong in wood carving so he didn't need to buy new equipments for wood carving.

Their house was filled with wooden models that Inok carved as their was wooden models of animals and also the frames of the mirrors and other furniture was carved by him.

Inok thought that the wood carving would be a good father son bonding time so he decided to make the most of it. He took his son outside in the garden where they wouldn't make a mess indoors and his wife wouldn't complain and also the weather was beautiful with the blue sky and the gentle cold breeze.

(AN: I'm not a wood carver so no offense to those that actually do carve wood. This is the information that I just researched in Google.)

"The first thing you need to know about wood carving is the types of wood carving there are. There is Whittling, Relief Carving, Chip Carving and Carving in the round" Inok then explained each carving in detail and when to use those types for an object.

"Do you understand" Inok asked and Jialong nodded in return.

He then began to explain the materials and also the different carving tools that are used for the different styles of carving.

"Since you are a beginner, the best wood for you to use is basswood which is used by beginners and would be perfect for you." Basswood was one of the easiest wood to carve so he gave it to Jialong as he was a beginner.

"So, have any idea on what you want to carve." Inok asked his son which lead Jialong to think about what he wanted to carve.

After thinking for some time Jialong came up with carving a butterfly out of the wood which shouldn't be too difficult if he takes his time.

He started carving out the basic shapes and by the time he was finished carving the basic shape, it was already getting dark and he had to go inside.

"Dad, can I also carve the wood in my room"  wanted to finish carving since he hated leaving incompleted work and also had another plan in his mind.

"Sure, but make sure you don't make too much mess or injure yourself as I don't want to sleep in the couch tonight" Inok said with a laugh towards the end. Jialong decided to act confused as if he doesn't know what Inok is talking about since it would be strange if he actually understand the joke as a three year old.

"Forget what I said" Inok said to his son, seeing the confusion on his face and wanted him to ignore what he had just said.

Jialong also took extra wood pieces to carve out his chess pieces which wouldn't take him to long as the shapes are easy to carve out.

He started to work on his butterfly until he got down the details of the butterfly and then began to work on his chess pieces which didn't take him too much time as his butterfly which had a lot more detail than the chess pieces.

It had been about 6 months since Jialong had started wood carving and he had already carved 20 chess set pieces except the board which would take too much space his room so he decided to just carve out the chess pieces.

Other than the chess pieces, he had also started to carve out different animals and objects which increased his skill in wood carving since he got faster and better at carving wood that his skill in carving was really high.

His wood carvings of the animals and objects took most of the time whereas the chess pieces only took a portion of the time. Overall he was proud of his work and so were his parents.

He also decided to take drawing and painting as his hobby as he wanted to try something different and also some he was quite a good drawer in his past life.

The scenery he could draw about was amazing as he lived in a forest where there was variety of trees and plants which he could draw and there were a range of different animals that were unique and diverse that he could also draw.

"I should draw a flower this time." Jialong visited the forest to look for a beautiful flower which he could draw then paint.

He walked around for a bit until he came across a beautiful red and white flower which he wanted to draw about.

"Is this a White Dragon Bush or is it a White Jade Bush which causes blindness. Either way, it's not like I'm just going to try a random flower in the wild that could poison me." Jialong thought with a smile remembering Iroh trying to make tea out of a poisonous flower.

As soon as he finished drawing the flower, he decided to pack up and then go back to his house before it got too dark and before dangerous animals lurk around there.

"I'll start with small amounts of water since I'm a beginner and also should master chi manipulation to be better bending" Jialong said to himself 

"Since Aang and Katara mastered water bending in about a few months which is only possible if the they had plot armour"


"I'll start working on water bending and when I finish this training then I'll start working on fire"

Jialong gathered a small bowl of water to bend and practiced his wrist movement to start bending and after 10 minutes he started to bend the water in mid air into a ball.

His goal was to bend the water into a sharp ice spike to throw into a tree which would be used for offense.

After practicing for an hour he started to get results as he manage to freeze the water into a ice spike but what he was aiming for was to form it in mid air so that he could launch it towards his target.

To form a spike, he had to concentrate keeping the ball of water flowing while simultaneously forming a spike and making it freeze which took a lot of concentration and time since it was his first time bending.

Will a lot of resilience and perseverance, he managed to form the ice spike in 15 seconds and launched it towards a tree near his house.

"Damn, my aim is bad" Jialong said to himself after observing the ice spike that he threw and seeing his shot not going anywhere near as he had intented.

"I really need to start practicing aiming or else the ice spike would be useless if I can't hit my target" Jialong came you with another goal which is to practice his aiming as it was really crucial in a fight and he wants to be the strongest so he needs to be good as possible at everything in fighting.

"I need to form the spike much faster rather than taking 15 seconds to form just a single water spike." 

Jialong began practicing forming spike much faster than his previous attempts until he manage to form the spike under two seconds. By the end of the day, Jialong practiced enough to be able form a spike under two seconds and figured out a use for the spike in a battle.

"I should be getting home before my parents get worried" Jialong said to himself noticing the sun setting and the sky getting darker.

"But before that I'll need one more shot." Jialong before he quickly formed a ice spike and hit dead on the target which he drew on the tree.

"I'll start working on blood bending in a few months but before that I need to work on more moves with water bending" 

Jialong after throughout of infusing a martial that suits with water bending rather using the standard water bending moves which is inspired by Tai Chi Chuan.

'I'll try to use a different martial art that may suit with waterbending' Jialong thought in his head while walking towards his house enjoying the scenery along with it.
