The look on Sheng Yize's face was a mix of pleasure and pain.
"Ahem. That'll do." He cleared his throat.
An Xiaxia looked concerned. "Don't play the tough guy! I know you're in pain!"
… I really am not. Dear wife, you don't have to be this diligent!
Sheng Yize couldn't tell her the truth and had to let her keep rubbing.
"You're in such great shape…" An Xiaxia was amazed. "Why do you never get fat?"
Sheng Yize said quietly, "I work out."
"Keep up that good habit! Don't indulge in beer and meat like other married men. You'll get a potbelly in no time. I won't like you anymore if you become ugly!"
"Do you like me for my good looks only?" Sheng Yize asked, a little disappointed.
"I like your money as well," An Xiaxia said honestly.
That was a hard blow to our scheming guy.
"Of course, I like you as a whole more~" An Xiaxia said happily. Sheng Yize looked a little relieved, but An Xiaxia then said, "Because not only are you good-looking, you can make money as well. Teehee…"
… He really wanted to travel back in time and tell his young self — ever consider taking a different wife?
The answer was obviously no, but his urge wouldn't go away.
An Xiaxia's hand slipped a little downwards and she felt something hot.
What was that? She looked under the duvet in confusion.
Then… she put the duvet back down.
Embarrassed, Sheng Yize blushed behind his ears. "It's just a normal physiological reaction."
"Hm…" An Xiaxia lowered her head, cheeks flushing. "Does your stomach still hurt? Do you need me to keep rubbing?"
"It doesn't hurt now…" Sheng Yize pondered. "Do you think you can rub somewhere else?"
An Xiaxia went quiet for a second before throwing a punch at him. "You dirty man!"

The mood was flirtatious in the room. To ease the awkwardness, Sheng Yize switched on the TV.
"What would you like to watch?"
"Cartoon."
"… So childish."
Despite his judgmental tone, Sheng Yize still picked up the remote control and searched for a cartoon channel.
An Xiaxia called out when she saw a local news report. "Stop!"
Sheng Yize did as told. A man was being interviewed in it. He had pretty amorous eyes that slanted slightly upward at the end, which gave him a mesmerizing look. His smile looked especially pleasant.
"You're falling for that? Really?" Sheng Yize snickered. However, the look on his face soon turned serious as well.
"The rumor is that Mr. Song expressed at a banquet his intention for his daughter to inherit everything under his name. Mr. Song Shi, do you have anything to say about that?" The host then handed the man the microphone.
The smile on Song Shi's face was very tantalizing. "Mr. Song is suffering from an incurable disease, it's only natural that he will leave everything to his daughter."
The host was noticeably shocked. "Are you saying that Mr. Song is terminally ill?"
Gosh! That was breaking news!
Song Shi raised an eyebrow. "In any case, as a member of the Song family, I'll do my best to lead the Group into a new, splendid future."
The news ended there.
An Xiaxia said in disbelief, "Who on earth is he…"
Sheng Yize searched his memory and frowned. "That's Song Shi, your cousin. Basically, his father lost the internal struggle to Mr. Song and Mr. Song ended up taking control of the Song family. From the looks of it, Song Shi is… determined to get the family business back."
"Are you saying that he's going to compete for the right of inheritance with me?"
"That's right." 
The hair on An Xiaxia's back stood up. "How about I give it to him now? Will I be in great danger?"


As an anti-fan of the idol group, Starry Night, An Xiaxia is happy to spend her time online slandering lead singer Sheng Yize. 

But things take an unexpected turn when An Xiaxia starts high school - the Starry Night trio somehow becomes her classmates, and even end up moving into her house. 

Also, the nation’s idol Sheng Yize seems particularly interested in An Xiaxia for some reason...

Sheng Yize: Xiaxia, if I and a chicken wing fall into the water together, which one will you save?

An Xiaxia: Hm… I can't swim, so obviously you're going to save yourself and get my chicken wing out!

Sheng Yize: I thought I was the nation’s idol???

Warning: Some not so happy latter half that comes out of left field because I'm saying my thoughts.

A great man once said: "When I cut my finger, is a tragedy... When you fall into a sewer and die, is a comedy." In this trail of thought, one might decide to be a sadist to their character and play it for laughs.

Not saying that angle won't work or anything. After all, Charlie Chaplin didn't get famous for no reason.

What I'm trying to say is that comedy is derived from the absurd. Things that don't normally happen is happening and no common sense is needed for the fictional characters involved since people being dumb is funny in its own right. I mean, go ask Disney for advice on writing overly dumb characters who couldn't possibly exist in real life at all.

This doesn't mean that a pure comedy needs to be all laughs though. It is becoming strangely more common to weave plot threads together in order to make even more absurd scenarios for the characters involved. I remember watching an Anime called 'Gamers!' about a group of teenagers gradually falling into the rabbit hole of misunderstandings since they wouldn't outright ask each other anything.

It was to the point that Otaku online dubbed it with the meme-like name of 'Misunderstandings: The Anime' in the face of how complicated the story was becoming because of what was happening on screen.

Just me writing the word 'absurd' twice should be enough for those reading this to understand that making it 'out there' is what's comical. Even 'Kaguya Sama- Love Is War' derived its comedy from the absurd humour that is what WOULD happen when two geniuses won't give up in trying to win over the other in their battle of over-the-top scheming.

Reactions that are so over-the-top they are comical in itself are also common to comedies. Even in those fictions that try to balance their comedy with heavier moments that were built to be tear jerkers.

However, to actually be able to overcome the hurdle of making the sadder moments impact instead of making the reader laugh, what is most needed is the inclusion of something 'mundane' in a character's life which can be subverted. There is a reason The Simpson's and other comedy tv shows go back to the status quo after a joke has ended, it is because seeing something mundane turn hilarious is subversive.

And what is comedy if not a subversion of what we are expecting? The reason everything used to laugh in high school when someone fell after another guy pulled his chair before he sat is because something even as mundane as 'sitting' didn't follow the tradition, turning into something they didn't expect.

A long comedy story needs this sense of returning to the status quo even if it has changed a little after the previous punchline. You can't always throw in punchlines without proper build up to it.

There needs to be at least some time for the characters to take in an exciting incident before the next one comes, and that is especially true when it comes to punchlines. It's just how comedy works.

Now you may be thinking of writing a character who has some funny joke that consistently happens in the story. Maybe your character keeps on falling asleep in climactic moments or maybe your comic relief has a catchy catchphrase that he always NEEDS to say.

In the case of the latter: Don't... Just don't...

As for the former, new scenarios for the same joke can lead into an even bigger joke. Bonus points if whatever the character's main joke is actually coincides with some sort of characterisation.

You can have a guy who gets angry all the time have to ACTUALLY go to anger management courses or maybe the guy who falls asleep just doesn't get any most the time due to insomnia. I know something so 'real' shouldn't be funny, but remember my earlier advice, something 'mundane' can ground the story.

To have a higher purpose than just the comedy happening itself, this sense of realism is required and can't be forgotten if you want to make stories that can have a higher impact on the audience.

Generally, you can go berserk with this kind of story since any joke is acceptable as long as they don't are not moral ambiguous and don't go at the expense of a certain group of your audience. I mean, 9/11 jokes may seem funny but we've already got to the point that the terrorism itself is not to be joked about.

On a side note: Why is it that Kyoto Animation burning down is a tragedy but people falling off buildings in 9/11 is funny? I remember a guy even adding cartoon sound to a video of people falling...

Sorry, back to the topic at hand. Your sense of humour is your own, but be sure to be sensitive to the people around you and not be a sadistic bully who takes pleasure in the suffering of others.

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

On the TV screen, a pair of figures confront each other while the wind billows dramatically. Surrounding the pair is absolute carnage, men and monsters battling for their lives while fires rage in the background. A young woman clad in a red gown cowers behind one of the combatants, her face fully hidden by a crimson veil. Her protector is a well groomed and richly dressed man in flamboyant robes while his opponent is a cloaked brute wearing a metal face plate that towers over both the man and his charge. 

"Oh save me, Prince Enma!" the woman in red cries. 

"Monster, you will have to get past me!" the anime representation of Enma declares heroically while he swings a short sword about. 

As the monster, no doubt a representation of The Voice from what I know of this world's background, begins to explain in painstaking detail how and why Enma and Fate are doomed, I snap my fingers in front of Alley's face to bring her attention back to me. 

"Eyes here. Not on the TV." I say, "You understand what you need to do?"

Alley resolutely ignores my prompting and keeps her eyes pinned on the pub's TV, pouring her full attention towards the monster chortling at how completely screwed Enma and Fate are. Which according to anime logic, means that the monster is going to get it's ass handed to it in short order. 

"Hey! Pay attention!" I bark to no avail. Alley continues to ignore me, watching the admittedly awesomely animated fight scene between the monster and Enma taking place on prime time TV. She's really starting to test my patience. 

"Stop wasting time with her." The Voice grumbles, and I am inclined to agree. 

I wind my arm back and bitch slap Alley squarely in the cheek with a thunderous smack that resounds across the pub. The pub's other patrons turn to look at us as Alley's face snaps at close to a right angle from the impact. The other patrons quickly go back to their own business, ignoring Alley as she rubs her sore cheek, a trickle of blood running down her mouth. 

"You paying attention now?" I question harshly, "Or do you need a remedial lesson?"

Alley glares sullenly at me as she responds, "You hit me."

"I can break bones as well." I shoot back, daring her to test me further. In the background, the anime monster roars in defiance as it flails ineffectually at cartoon Enma. Alley just lowers her head in hostile silence. 

"You want me to participate in a crime." she finally manages to say. 

"As the getaway driver." I roll my eyes as I clarify, "All the heavy lifting will be done by me. Will you just relax?"

"You're asking me to take part in a kidnapping!" Alley nearly shrieks but manages to stifle her cry at the last minute. 

"Love and Justice will always prevail!" cartoon Enma pronounces from the TV. Sure, whatever you say fam. 

"You're already a criminal." I point out to Alley, "I have no idea what you're getting so worked up about."

Alley twists her fingers together in a knot but keeps looking down, wrestling with her anxiety and doubt. Good thing I had prepared for this eventuality. I pick up the plastic bag at my feet and slide it across the table towards Alley. 

"Half now. The remainder once the job is done." I say. 

Alley unties the bag and looks inside, seeing the rolls of freshly spawned cash, courtesy of The Voice. She quickly pushes the bag away, as if it is filled with venomous snakes. 

"I don't want it." Alley whispers, "I don't need it."

"Yes, you do." I smirk, "How long do you think the Academy is going to keep a Head of Administration that has been picked up by ORPO?"

"I was cleared. There were no charges." Alley hotly rebuts.

"That can change anytime the boss wants." I snarl, "It could even change tomorrow."

"THERE IS NO ESCAPE." anime Voice bellows at the top of its, well, voice from the TV. 

"I helped you! During the attack on the Academy!" Alley wails, tears building in her eyes, "Isn't that enough?"

 "And you tried to sell me out while in police custody. Anyway, I had told you before." I tap on the table, leaning forward to emphasize my point, "You're part of our little gang now. Understand?"

Alley reluctantly accepts the plastic bag full of cash and slowly nods. Took her long enough. 

"You got the plan down?" I ask again for confirmation. Another unenthusiastic nod from Alley. 

"Alright. I'll pick you up from your home when its go time. Be ready." I say as Alley jerks back in shock from my pronouncement. I sigh at her display before confirming, "Yes. I know where you live as well. So don't even think of cutting and running."

"NOTHING CAN STOP THE DARKNESS THAT IS TO COME." Wow, anime Voice is way more dramatic than the actual article. More entertaining too. 

Alley slumps out of the pub with the bag of cash cradled in her arms like a baby. Well, that sorts that out. I signal one of the waiters to place an order of fried chicken and turn to the window, gazing at the burned out husk that is Ascension Tower looming in the distance. 

"That took long enough." The Voice harrumphs, "At any rate, the pieces are falling into place. My own preparations for the mission are making good progress as well."

"We did quite a number on Ascension Tower." I muse before turning back to the TV to see cartoon Enma getting his face broken by the monster, "Hey, I got a question for you."

"Ask." The Voice rasps. 

"There's a cartoon screening on prime time giving the hidden low down of this world." I whisper, "But nobody knows anything about Fate and the hidden war. Why is that?"

"Never! I will never give up on Anri!" cartoon Enma shouts to the animated heavens. 

"I could ask you the same about your own world." The Voice rasps, "The greatest mysteries are usually hidden in plain sight."

"My world? What are you talking about?" I blink with surprise. 

The Voice laughs in amusement, "The bat god Transmigrator. I understand his battles with the entity known as the clown across your reality are stories worthy of legend. Yet no one takes those stories seriously despite almost everyone having at least some knowledge."

"Wait. Are you for real?" I almost jump from my seat, taking the waiter bringing the plate of fried chicken by surprise, "You're claiming all that shit in comic books is true?"

"Who knows?" The Voice gives a verbal shrug, "I am not at liberty to divulge the secrets of brother gods to a mortal. Though that hypothetical certainly got you thinking, did it not?"

I smile apologetically to the waiter, a hawk man, as he sets the plate down in front of me. Wasn't I served by him the last time I was here at this joint? And how in the world did he injure his arms to the extent he needed to bandage them up to such a degree? 

"Yeah it got me thinking alright." I murmur once the waiter has moved away from my table, "Pretty scary how people will just ignore something if its obvious or outrageous enough."

"That principle applies to gods as well." The Voice continues, "For instance, I knew of the precursor legacy, but completely overlooked Fate using it to its advantage. Thankfully I was able to survive my mistake."

"AAAUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHH." cartoon Enma screams as the woman in red fires off animated hearts in his direction, causing his body to blaze with power. 

"He sounds like he's in the middle of taking a huge dump." I dourly remark. 

"Garbage. Complete garbage." The Voice rumbles unhappily as the anime continues to run on the TV. 

"Oh yeah? As an action flick its pretty good though. Its really cheesy though." I remark as Enma gets his mid-fight power up and begins mercilessly belting anime Voice with that short sword of his. 

"Justice! Truth! Looooove!" cartoon Enma trills on the screen as he prepares to deliver his finishing move on the monster. 

"Feeling sore?" I giggle quietly to myself. The Voice just makes an annoyed huff in reply. 

Cartoon Enma performs an over elaborate slash with his short sword, filling the TV with CG effects. The monster as expected topples to the ground completely defeated and Fate rushes into her husbando's embrace. 

"Why isn't the ultimate attack the fire of perdition?" I question, "Isn't that like, Enma's entire thing?"

"Its still too early in the continuity." an unexpected voice chimes in. 

I turn around in surprise and see the hawk waiter standing close to my table, eyes glued to the TV screen. 

"Prince Enma only gets the fire of perdition after the journey north." the hawk man continues not noticing me staring at him. 

"Uh, OK. Thanks for that bit of information." I say, not quite sure what to make out of this. 

"Oh!" the hawk man exclaims, "I didn't mean to hear you talking to yourself there. Sorry about that."

"Yeah. Got a bit caught up in the moment." I explain. Was this guy eavesdropping on me? The hawk man merely bows in apology and quickly disappears into the pub's kitchen. 

"Our business here is done. Let us go." The Voice mutters sulkily, "I have watched enough rot for one night."

"Yeah." I concur, getting up from my seat and heading for the pub's door after leaving some cash on the table. The electronic doorbell plays its synthesized jingle as I depart. 

I step out into the night streets and the shuffling crowd swallows me whole, the anime's ending theme song fading into the distance.  

Trapped in a world not my own. Facing a destiny never meant to pass. Dealing with a hero doomed to defeat. Which will end first, this world or my life?

The Transmigator, a being deployed from beyond the boundaries of this reality, must undo the will of Fate itself, to save both himself and the world. 

There is only The Voice of a god and the strength in your own hands.

It was 1 pm and It was time for Hermes to go to work. "ugh here we go again, selling clothes gets annoying" he says as he gets ready to go to work. As he's walking to his car he sees some news on social media about some type of meteor. When he turned his car on it was set to the radio "Urgent news, an unexpected there's a huge hole near botany village, it looks as if it was made by a meteor. Luckily it landed in the middle of a empty area so nobody was injured."
"Oh shit, that's not that far from here" he decides to drive by it, ignoring the upcoming traffic he knew was there.
There was yellow tape around a the hole and a big crowd surrounding it with their phones out taking pictures. He just kept driving past it and with just a small glance he felt something strange about the air coming from the hole.
...
4hrs into work and all he could do was think about was the mysteries of the hole, it seemed unlikely to be a meteor... he was quieter than any other day. As a result his coworker asked him "Hermes, are youu ok??" in a funny voice imitating a cartoon quote (this guy always does that) Hermes kept walking nonchalantly and yelled "shut up Alex" jokingly as he made his way out the front door and said, "ima go get food, yall want anything ?"
"I want a cookie cookiee," ~Alex.
"I wasnt' asking you, Lydia you want anything?" as he gave her a flirty look, "I'll eat from whatever you're getting as always" ~ Lydia … "okayy" Hermes responded in a softer tone trying to sound smooth.
As he was crossing the street something was falling from the sky at an alarming speed.
**fyiuuUUU!!  BOOM!! 💥** 
The shockwave blew him away a little and he fell to the ground. Some of the cars that were close to the building were pushed back by the shockwave. 
Hermes turns around and sees that his workplace has caught on fire and instinctively without wasting a moment or concern for his wellbeing he rushed inside, he's coworkers still there. 
It was burning, bright red with oranges and patches of yellow flowing together while slowly destroying its surroundings. He rushes in and the fire was spreading fast through the small building because of the clothes, everything is falling over and burning.  It was really hard to see, let alone breath or keep composure while everything is burning around you. The fire was like a Typhoon taking everything in its path. 

Luckily only two people were working with him that day, less people equals less casualties. 
"LYDIA!! ALEX!! coughs*" he yelled hoping that one of them would reply. "Hermes helppp!" it was Lydia! she was laying on the ground with her sweater mostly burned and a few light burns all over her body. Her right foot was stuck under the broken shelf, He immediately lifted the shelf a little with all his strength and she crawled out, "Where's Alex ?" Hermes asked Lydia, however, the fire is getting worse by the second. "Over there.. i think he went to.. the back room before something exploded." He nodded and carried her on his back because she couldn't walk.
 Lydia tied up Hermes' long hair as of way of trying to help, she felt bad that he had to carry her in this situation. "thank you" he said. 
He kicked open the door that leads to the back room  and they both started, "ALEXX??!!" "ALEX!?" They kept yelling trying to find him. After around three minutes of yelling Alex's name and looking around they finally heard a response "He..re" alex responded. Alex is a big guy he roughly weighed around 350lb, all of the shelfs and big rocks and wood from the ceiling were on top of his body. The Fire is getting worse everything is burning and the path to the front exit is slowly closing. 
"Lydia can you stand ?" Hermes asked. She responded while tears fell down her eyes, "Y..eah.." she let herself down from his back. Then immediately both of them tried every way to pull him out or move the stuff from on top of him… Alex told them, "you.. Guys should .. go….. Hermes you… know it don't you. The..re's no way.. I can make.. It out of ..this one." 
"SHUT UP, now's not the time to give up" Hermes yells at him and more sweat comes down his face, breathing is near impossible and the desperation is starting to show. Lydia is crying because they both knew from the moment they saw him that he couldn't get out of there he was too heavy for Hermes to even carry let alone both of them.
Alex just smiled at them as he saw Hermes struggle. 
"St..op. I.. always...wanted..it..to..endd an..ywa..ys, my li..fe wasnt..the eas..ies.t you kn..ow.
Im..glad...i.go..t..to..meet..yo..u..Clau..riece.." 
Those were his last words, Hermes started tearing and yelled  "youuu fucking idiotttt"...
Lydia and Hermes tried making their way to the back emergency exit since the way to the front door was already impossible to get through. "Just keep calm were getting out of this. For Alex." Hermes told Lydia but she had already passed out on his shoulder because of the lack of Air.  Unfortunitly, the back exit was blocked too. "fuckk" he whispers to himself. Carrying Lydia on his back is starting to take affect, is unnecessary weight anyone would just save themselves. He leaned on the wall because there's no way to get out of the building. "ive scape death once too many. Guess is time, but burning to death huh, still not as bad as drowning."  "man, I'm not even 20 yet and I haven't left a message in the world with my drawings" "I dont wanna die yet really. No. I cant die" "just stay calm and think Hermes is your strong suit. Get it together for Alex for your brothers for your family for T for lydia"
He stayed calm, thinking then suddenly he heard a slight wind coming from-

"The store room!!"

It was the only place that had a window and maybe he can just jump through it, he kicked the door open with his foot and just ran without thinking. crank* a piece of wood fell down from above them, is getting closer and at the last minute Hermes broke the big piece of wood with a with his left hand while holding on to lydia with his right and kept running towards a broken part of the wall, there it was a way to survive!!
Luckily the fire hadnt wasnt that crazy in the store room thanks to broken wall. As he was about to hop the wall he saw someone on the ground from the corner of his eye and without thinking he picked them up and jumped out of the building through the broken wall.

Once he made it outside he dragged himself with both Lydia and the other person towards the front of the burning building. He was loosing consciousness. There was a crowd of people that worked in that plaza. 
"Ahhhh look theres people that survived the firee" 
"somebody hurry and help them" 
"look is Hermes omg help them"
all he heard was sirens and then he passed out.

Hermes Duarte is like any other guy in their late teen years trying to find a way to make this dull life more exciting. The only thing that brings him joy is drawing but even that gets repetitive. Anyone gets tired of doing the same thing every single miserable day. His life got turned upside down when a fire burst out at his job. Be careful what you wish for.

Chapter 1139 - Shy
Jingyi used to work behind the scenes as well when she managed the company for Liu Tianli. The outside world all thought that it was Tianli's efforts, and only a few knew who the mastermind was! Of course, all the noble houses knew about this.
"Alright, Tianli--you pay attention then. As long as we don't piss Lin Yi off!" Zhenhu said. "Jing Jing not appearing now might have a big use in the future!"
Jinghan's face blushed a bit. She knew that her grandpa saw right through her! Indeed, she wanted to use a different identity to interact with Lin Yi because she was curious about him. She wanted to see what he was like as she came to know him personally!
She was very curious indeed--how did this guy survive until now? House Yu, House Zhao, and House Pi--these three were all hidden houses, and he pissed them all off!! How the hell was he still jumping around so happily?
This was the first boy who made Jinghan curious! She was a smart girl, after all, and normal men wouldn't appeal to her, but Lin Yi did interest her. This interest wasn't a romantic one, but JInghan was purely curious!
Tianli didn't understand his father's words, assuming that he was going to use his daughter as a trump card or something, appearing in the most vital time. Tianyi, on the other hand, had other thoughts as he looked at his niece. Yes, she was a pretty lady, considered a high-quality one among the noble houses…
Tianyi kept his thoughts to himself, however. The old man had his plans, naturally, and he didn't need to impede.
The old man and Jinghan sometimes understood things far better than he did!
Lin Yi hung up and called Fatty Lai, wanting to tell him about the situation, but he saw Tang Yun walking down the stairs wrapped in a towel!
"Yao Yao, where are my clothes?" Tan Yun had just finished showering when she realized that Yushu and Mengyao weren't there. She didn't even prepare any fresh clothes for her, and Tang Yun didn't want to rummage through their closets or anything. She came down the stairs, thinking that Lin Yi was outside moving stuff and that it would only be girls here. Of course, she'd be wearing a towel…
But Lin Yi was there! Tang Yun stood there at the stairs, naked except for a towel. From Lin Yi's angle, he could completely see the bottom part of Tang Yun. Lin Yi's breathing became very rapid!
The most intimate of actions he had with Tang Yun was holding hands and kisses on the cheek- but now, he saw Tang Yun's naked body! His heartbeat quickened.
"Ah!" Tang Yun saw Lin Yi as well and saw that look on his face. She realized by following his eyes where he was looking! Her face blushed, and she turned around to run upstairs, tripping on the towel. The entire thing came off, and she was in her birthday suit.
"Holy! Tang Yun's so aggressive, she's not thinking of doing 5p with us, is she?" Yushu's eyes were wide open as she looked at Tang Yun's naked chest before looking at her own, mumbling. "Hm, not as big as mine! But it's bigger than Yao Yao's."
Tang Yun was embarrassed enough as was, and she was even more so when Yushu said those things! She bent over to take the towel but froze. Wouldn't her butt be facing Lin Yi if she bent down like that? Wouldn't he see everything?
At that thought, she stopped her hand and simply ran up, ignoring everything else. Ahe wanted this to stop!
But, the more she wanted to run up in a panic, the more problems occurred! She stepped on the towel, and her body spun… She fell down the stairs!
"Ah!!" Tang Yun cried out, not expecting this turn of unfortunate vents! This was it. It was all over. Falling from here would break her bones, and she closed her eyes, not daring to open them…
Everything happened in one short instant, and Lin Yi's heartbeat, although quickened, pushed him to hold Tang Yun when he saw her fall, rescuing her.
"Oh, nice, Shield Bro! I don't have to worry about falling off the stairs anymore!" Yushu clapped her hands.
Mengyao was speechless. Yushu's words were true. Before Lin Yi came, there was one time she just finished showering and rushed down because the cartoon was playing. She didn't even wipe herself and charged down the stairs, resulting in her landing on her butt! She couldn't leave the bed for a couple of days.
Tang Yun thought that it was death for her once she fell off the stairs, but Lin Yi saved her! She was both happy and embarrassed because she was still naked!
Mengyao and Yushu sighed in relief. They didn't want any accidents moments before their departure!
Mengyao admired Tang Yun's dedication to Lin Yi, as well as her generosity in accepting Xiaoxaio- she felt that she had been too narrow-minded to think of her as her enemy, and so she started caring about Tang Yun now.
Yushu, on the other hand, was very grateful to Tang Yun ever since she accepted her- she didn't want anything to happen to her, naturally.
Yushu, on the other hand, had a grin on her face as she looked at Tang Yun. "Tang Yun sis, how does it feel to let Lin Yi hold your boobs?"
"Ah!" Only then did Tang Yun realize that Lin Yi's hands were pressing on her boobs! She subconsciously struggled, trying to get off!
Only then did Lin Yi realize that there was a soft lump in his hand. He didn't realize that during the emergency! He couldn't help but feel a bit regretful. If he'd known this was going to happen, he might as well have copped a proper feel! He didn't even feel anything yet, and now he had to let go!
He chuckled a little and let go, putting Tang Yun on the sofa, awkward. "Sorry, I didn't notice when saving you… Yao Yao, can you get Yun Yun some clothes, I'll turn away…"
Lin Yi wanted to continue looking, but he knew that it wouldn't be appropriate. She may be his girlfriend, but they weren't there yet, so he turned around nevertheless.

Harmony's POV

Blaze puts me to sit on my bunk bed while he walks to the bathroom.
My mind replays what just happened and I feel the hairs on my skin stand up chillingly. Blaze would have certainly killed Mr. Jones, the look in his eyes told me that. Although it is quite deserving, I wouldn't want Blaze ruining himself like that. Imagine him murdering his lecturer then sent to prison for life. I would never see him again and I am not sure how I would feel about that considering how emotionally attached to him I am becoming. He would probably leave with a part of me because I feel like I am falling for him way beyond what I realize.
Stop it Harmony, such thoughts are dangerous, my subconscious, once again, warns me. And this time, I think I should listen to her. I shouldn't go too deep with Blaze, I don't think it's alright. Plus he had certainly told me his views on love. He's pretty honest so if I get hurt, I am the one to be blamed, right?
He returns with a damp rag and sits in front of me. His forehead is still creased in anger and his eyes still has the dark effect.
"Where did he touch you?"
I swallow "Just my arms...."
He takes my hand in his and begins to wipe my arm all the way down to my palms. I am not sure why he's doing that.
"Why are you-"
"I don't want his touch on you" he clarifies, his eyes meeting mine "I don't want to know that his touch is still on your skin. Do you understand?"
I nod.
Oh damn. When he says things like that how can I not dive in subconscious?
I lower my eyes as he continues. His touch is gentle as he trails the rag along my skin and I wonder if he cares for everyone like this. Before I can stop the question, it has left my lips.
"Do you care for everyone like this?"
He pauses for a while and I sit there analysing his blank exppression. I can never tell what he's thinking and that sucks. If I could, I would know all the secrets and scars he's hiding.
"No. I don't really care about anyone....Ever"
He grips my face and shifts it so he can see the bruise. He sighs and grabs the first aid kit nearby "I told you to stay away from him"
"Yeah but....he caught me saying bad stuff about him and said he needed to talk to me about it or else I would get ban from English"
He looks at me as if my response sounded pretty stupid. Now that I think about it, it does in fact sound stupid.
"You won't get ban so easily. What exactly did he hear you say?"
"That he's....boring"
Blaze hisses "No one gets banned for something like that. He was just luring you in his disgusting plans. I think you took the carrot on the trap Harmony"
I sigh "I can be really stupid sometimes I guess"
"You're not stupid" he says grabbing a cotton ball from the kit "You're just.....innocent"
I lower my eyes to my fingers, then a thought comes to mind.
"Uhm, by the way....How'd you find me?"
His chest rises in a breath and he parted his lips to speak when there is a knock on the dorm door. 
"I should see who that is" I stand to my feet and walk to the door while Blaze is searching through the first aid kit.
I open it to see two security officers and I tilt my head to the side in wonder "May I help you?"
"Is Blaze Xander in there?" One of security guards, with a bald-spot in his hair enquires.
I narrow my eyes "What?"
They push past me rudely and enter, while Blaze stands from his position, not seeming surprised.
"We got a report that you have a knife in your possession?" The fat one says "Please come with us for further investigation at the Chairman's office"
I gasp "What?"
Blaze laughs and it catches everyone off guard. I mean who laughs when they are in trouble right? Well, Blaze Xander does. He even laughs when attempting to cut his lecturer in the face.
"Did that rapist tell you guys that?" Blaze asks, jamming his hands in his pockets nonchalantly.
The men step forward but I slide in their path, making them both roll their eyes in sync.
 "What did he do? He didn't do anything and furthermore, Mr. Jones attempted to sexually harass me"
"Do you have proof?" Fat security asks and I furrow my brows in disbelief.
"I do actually, Look at my face. He slapped me!"
The Bald-spot guard, who I just now realize, is chewing a gum, barely tilts his head and glance shortly at my face then roll his eyes in his head
 "There is barely anything there. I hear about kids like you who try to bring down a professor because you failed a simple test. Mr. Jones has been working here for years and no one has ever filed such a report. Why would he touch you?" He vulagrly chews the gum while he looks me up and down "What's so special about you?" 
"Yow, hey, watch your mouth" Blaze says stepping forward but I sigh and rest my hand on his chest "It's okay"
 Fat guard walks around me, bouncing my shoulder in the process and grips Blaze's arm "Come with us!"
Blaze laughs "Woah. This feels like I am being taken by the police. It's actually very fascinating but nothing that I am not used to. I used to jack cars in the past you see "
"What are you guys doing? Release him now, Mr Jones is the culprit here"
"Yeah yeah, focus on your studies little girl" Bald-spot says as they walk out with Blaze. He turns his face to wink at me with a smile and I sigh. How can he smile in a situation like this?
 "Stay on the bed, Yeah?" He says.
His eyes hold a message and I realize, that statement sounded a lot like a 'code'. Is he hinting that something is on or under the bed?
The door closes behind them and I walk over and shift my pillows aside. I see nothing so I kneel down to peer under the bed. Instantly my eyes spot his knife tucked in a corner and I smile a little. 
He's so sneaky.

Blaze's POV

"Take your feet down!" One of the security officers with a bald-spot and a missing tooth demands. But I pretend not to hear his instruction. My feet is unmoving from it's comfortable spot on the clean polished table while I reach over and take a gum from the Chairman's desk.
No one tells me what to do anyway.
I tuck the gum in my mouth "Where's he? I honestly don't have all day and the canteen runs out of fish burgers at one in the afternoon"
The other security, a fat one with low cut hair steps through the glass door "The Chairman's meeting has ended, he'll be here soon. Did you search his pockets?"
"No was just about to" bald-spot answers as he moves over to me.
He grips my arm and I shoot him a deadly glare "Hey, do not touch me. You don't wanna do that"
"When since Homeweood takes in criminals?" Fat security comments "This boy is a delinquint"
I laugh and shake my head "The word is pronounced 'delinquent' and not 'delinquint', wow how long have you been working at an University and not know that much? You shouldn't have to be corrected by a 'delinquent' who seldom goes to class Peter Griffin"
He looks lost at the animation reference and Baldspot security walks over to him and whispers in his ear "He means the cartoon, family guy, Peter Griffin is a fat guy in the cartoon"
I laugh and shake my head. These are two frigging retards.
"Stand up. You menace!" Fat security demands as soon as he realizes the insult. I can see that his ego is deeply wounded. He grips my arm and I pull it away "I said don't touch me. Next time you do that, it won't be nice"
I stand to my feet and Mr. Bald-spot hisses "Back against the wall"
"Do you guys even have a search warrant?" I ask "I know my rights and I know I look like someone who comes from a low-paid home but my Dad is the chief of police and you really can't search me unless you have a warrant so it's best you stop"
Fat security steps toward me and begins tapping my pockets as if to search me, I push him off angrily and he stumbles back but gathers his composure quickly and gesture to reach for his baton.
"Are you going to hit me with that baton?" I chuckle "Give it your best shot but make sure when you do, I die or become a vegetable because if I don't, I will be back for you"
The man is timid by my response and removes his hand from the black baton on his waist. My eyes fall to the action and I laugh "Fucking coward"
The glass door opens "What is going on in here?"
Fat security sighs "Mr. Xander, I am so happy you are here, this is the boy who has a-"
"Blaze?" My uncle, who is also the chairman narrows his eyes at me. Great, I always try to avoid him at school because just like my Dad, he thinks he can talk some emotions into me. Mr. Jones must know that he's dieing twice for this.
"This is the guy we told you about" Bald-spot informs.
My Uncle holds his forehead "Get out you two. He's my nephew"
I am smirking and the two securities exchange glances of surprise. The look on their faces are so hideous that I chuckle under my breath. Fools.
"I will deal with him"  he finishes "You two go"
They reluctantly turn away to leave and I smile "Hey, fat guard? Yeah, you should go read a book when you get off work later yeah? The word is delinquent!"
"Blaze Stop it" My Uncle scold.
The men shoot me a hate glare and I jerk a middle finger at them but my Uncle doesn't see as he walks over to his desk to sit 
I sigh and sit back unto the chair, slouching lazily in my spot but not putting my feet back up.
"Blaze. First you attack someone in the cafeteria and now you have a knife" he begins "When will you stop? I thought you changed"
I blow my cheeks out "I don't have a knife"
"Don't lie Blaze"
"You can search me"
He sighs "I know you hid it somewhere"
"Search my dorm"
He holds his forehead for the hundredth time since he discovers me in his office. Everyone knows I am hard work, yet they all still try to tame me. They really shouldn't waste their time.
"Get rid of it" He says.
I sit up in my chair "What's the deal about a knife? Taking a knife away from me won't stop me from stabbing someone if I want. This is a school, I can always use pencils and pens. Disharming me won't solve the issue, will it?"
"Mr. Jones is a lecturer!" He says "You threatened to stab your lecturer. By right I should kick you out of the school Blaze"
"Did the little rapist tell you why I threatened to kill him?"
"No but Blaze-"
"He was trying to harrass someone. Someone I actually care about"
His exppression softens immediately and he looks a bit taken aback by my words. I am surprised myself, did I just say that? He knows that I normally don't care about anyone. I know that too. But Harmony is the exception to my twisted disorder.
I sigh "You should fire him. Or I will kill him"
"Blaze"
"Fire him. That's all I ask, if you don't want blood on your school grounds"
"I cannot do that" he insists "Do you have proof? Mr. Jones' office does not have a CCTV and it's not easy to accuse someone with a good record as he-"
"As I thought....the law sucks" I mumble "And so does humanity. Don't say I didn't warn you"
"Blaze-"
I get up from my chair and he rakes his hand through his hair "Blaze! Do not do anything stupid"
I walk out and slam his door behind me. Oh I won't. I am just paying Mr. Jones a nice visit. After all, I didn't get a chance to finish what I wanted to earlier.
