Their two front lines, Da Luo and Zhou Yan, were always able to catch every misplay the enemy made with their deep understanding of the game's mechanics, effectively prolonging the game so that their team could scale and overpower their opposition.
During the past 6 months or so, Team Skycrown had faced teams with every fighting style you could think of, and they knew the mainstream compositions like the back of their hand, able to see through the fatal flaws of off-meta picks as well. You can't deny, some of the teams conjured up through a spark of inspiration could be pretty daunting, and apart from the calm, serious vibe that professional players let off, these teams could easily rival pro players with their skills, combos, and strange tactics!
The guys from Team Skycrown had originally thought that there wasn't much purpose in fighting these cybercafe competitions since their opponents would always be too weak.

People in Diamond I and II of the Korean server would already be considered top players back in China, this was in part due to them being updated at the same pace as America, but also because the Korean server was just a single server for the whole country, totally different from China which had over ten servers.
If you were to say so-and-so was the top player, the first reaction you'd get from people would be "Wow, which server are they from?", and if they were anything but Ionia, Bilgewater, or Freljord, you would be dismissed almost immediately.
But if you were to say that you were a top player in the Korea server, it wouldn't be just an abstract concept, since there was only one server, the rankings in the server could basically substitute as a nationwide skill-level ranking!
There were over 200 players who were considered to be the "top players" in the Korean server, and a lot of pro players and other top players from China often went over to the Korean server to play a bit of ranked.
Back when Cat Eye, Qiu Shenping, had gotten into one of the top player ranking spots in Korea, he had gained quite a following. After all, there were only so many spots in that ranking, and one spot taken meant one less chance for someone else to get in. For a foreigner to take that spot, wouldn't that be seen as a challenge?
However, it had been Xiao Bei who had climbed with that account, and so, after Xiao Bei had stopped playing, that account was quickly pushed out of the top rankings and Qiu Shenping eventually faded into the background of the e-sports scene.
Luocheng and Shallow Dream had a very high win-rate, and unlike others who spent a really long time trying to get into Diamond, they only used a few days.
The hardest part was getting from Diamond V to Diamond II!
The skill gap between these ranks was immense as it was saturated with main accounts and smurf accounts of pro players, there were even professional play-by-play narrators. Besides that, there were copious amounts of players from other countries here looking to learn of the newest tactics from the Koreans. A lot of team leaders like Luocheng hid around this rank and this was quite a hindrance for Luocheng and Shallow Dream.
"Mid, ADC, and Support are taken, so I'll go jungle and you go top?" Luocheng asked Shallow Dream.
Unless you typed in English, Chinese characters would all become blank squares in the Korean server. Luocheng and Shallow Dream mainly communicated through the QQ app, and though he had asked for a voice call several times now, Shallow Dream still refused him each time, and Luocheng would be lying if he said he wasn't suspicious of her identity.

Pro players hated these sorts of situations. LOL was already a 5-man game, even if they could maintain a 90 percent win rate in Plat and Diamond, there was still a solid 10 percent chance that they would throw everything, and that 10 percent just so happened to show itself during a broadcasted show. The host was at a loss for words, what could he say to save Park Yisheng from the humiliation he was inevitably going to receive for being beaten very badly.

27th of may can we turn back time. Summer of 2008, everyone was in the living room, I can hear everyone laughing, playing, talking and excited about something. Weird, right? that was the first summer, my parents, my two sisters and I are here in Cavite together for days.

"Pia, Bakit ka nasa kusina pumunta ka dito makipaglaro ka sa mga pinsan mo"
{Pia, why are you in the kitchen come here and play with your counsins} auntie Creese shouted. 

As I walked to the living room, I find it odd that everyone seems to be expecting someone. After minutes of playing, talking and repeat, someone rang the doorbell which was my first time hearing it because who would want to ring a doorbell in a scary ancestral house in the middle of the night LIKE DUDE I WOULDN'T DO THAT. My Mama ran excitedly greeting the two people who are white as milk, eyes like my mama, and they carry big heavy-looking bags. 

They talked for hours and hours, my sisters seem to know them, my cousins seem to know them, Who? A relative? Friend?Kidnapper? Ghosts? But there's something about them I can't help but notice, who is the little kid between those two white people, I didn't notice him entering and he kept silent since he came. Nobody seems to pay attention to him, like me...hehe..., should I go and talk to him and...nevermind I'll just approach him.

"Hey, why don't go talk?" four years old I said
as he just stared at me, I felt everyone's cold look and the room went dead. 
"He...can talk?" I asked the girl seating next to him.
 "Oh dear he can, how time flies you already can talk," she answered laughing.
"then, you can play with him."
"of course, dear" she looked like she was amused by my use of words then their murmuring began again.

I pulled him and we played in our grandparent's room. My grandfather is already sleeping with my other cousin. so we just played silently, both of us didn't care to know the time and played until we fell asleep. I woke up in our grandparent's bed with him sleeping by my side. 
"Still dark but so peaceful". Too quiet!.... I ran towards the leaving room finding no one, the house was calm as the dead sea then I saw my dad outside with my mama ready to leave for work, to go to the city. They wouldn't bother to wake me up cause I'll just make a fuss out of it. This time I won't cry....not gonna cry.....no....cryy... "Mama...ahhhh...ahhhh...leaving again...alone"

"Pia, don't cry if you cry your parents might get into an accident,"My grandfather told me him believing in folk ways. Stop it ...stop crying. 
My parents departed again seeing them in the next few months or years, maybe never. 

"come on, let's eat breakfast," the grandfather said.

Everyone was eating with white people. I sat between My Bernadette and the white kid, "hey I had a lot of fun last night" I whispered in his ears, he smiled and nods at me. While eating the white people told us that the little kid will be living with us during school breaks. They stayed for at least four days then the two older white people left but before they left I asked what the kid's name was and it was 김치상(Gim Ji Sang or Andrew). They left the kid alone with a bunch of strangers. He still didn't utter a word since he came, he smiles, nods, sleep, eats and repeat.
"May sakit ba si Andrew ate?" I asked {is Andrew sick?}

"Wala, di lang say nag Sasalita ng Tagalog at English, Korean Kasi says" {No he isn't, he just doesn't speak English and Tagalog, because he's Korean,} My sister replied. Now that I retell my story I feel like my sister is racist.

"Laro kami Kasama sila Alexander at Miguel"{gonna play with him, Alexander and Miguel} I said. My sister nods. 

after hanging out for a few days with us surprisingly he can talk little Tagalog. He's very smart for a seven-year-old kid. Learning a new language in a new environment in an instant was a good thing, that's what I thought, BEFORE, but more likely it triggered my grandfather's Chinese blood like hell.

"Mga apo, pipili kayo ng isang porma ng sining. Aaralin niyo ito ng mabuti ah"{My grandchildren, I would want you to pick one art form and study it well} My grandfather THOUGHTFULLY said

I have no choice but to agree, you can't refuse older people, that would be considered as an act of disrespect. I had to go to China during breaks and study. That's what he told me and my parents. I hate it, In The Philippines, you start at 6 years old to study in an elementary since I'm still 4 I had to stay in China for 2 years and take my pre-schooling there.

Uncle Yeng came to pick me up early in the morning to catch the flight at 11 am. Jackson ran out of the warehouse with Halia in his arms. She had been unwell since they were on the plane that morning so he began to worry. Was she sick? Was it something serious? Or was she hurt during the fight with Eagle?
As he exited, he spotted a familiar figure waiting for them inside a car. Although he was tempted for a moment to run away with the money that Eagle gave him, Herman Song thought about all the trouble he had caused and decided to stick by what he had promised and wait outside. 
"Mr. Song, you have made the right choice," Jackson said briefly as he walked past. 
"I hope so," Herman replied as he watched Jackson carry Halia into his car. "Is something wrong with Mrs. Wu?"
A moment later, Kwon approached the two men and said, "I will take Eagle and his assistant straight to the Interpol office. With so many witnesses and evidence, they won't be able to deny their crimes even if they have any other insiders. Mr. Song, you can come with me. You are vital in apprehending them."
Even though he was confused, Herman nodded his head and followed Kwon to his car.
As soon as Kwon started the car, Herman asked, "Is something wrong with Mrs. Wu? Did she get hurt?"
Kwon shrugged, "We're not sure yet. Jackson is taking her to the hospital to check." 
Herman frowned and turned around to look at Jackson's car worriedly. If they were really to become family like Jackson said, then Halia was family too. Kwon looked at the man and smiled. This man actually had a heart.
"Why did you turn back to crime when you were released? You don't seem all that bad. Wasn't 6 years in prison enough of a lesson for you?" he couldn't help but ask.
Herman sighed turned back to the front and replied, "I had no other means for survival. It's all I've ever done and it's the only thing I know how to do. Plus, with my history, who would hire an ex-convict?"
Kwon glanced at the man. He could tell he wasn't a completely bad guy, he simply thought he had no choice. Kwon once felt the same way and he had met many people that felt that way too, but he knew now that there was definitely a choice.
"When you get released from prison this time, come look for me at the 'Second Life Bar' in Itaewon. I will find you a job and help you get back on your feet," Kwon offered.
Herman turned his head and looked at the man in surprise. As he looked at him in detail, he suddenly felt a sense of familiarity.
"Have we met before? Why are you helping me?" Herman asked.
Kwon focused on the road in front of him and smiled, "We met briefly about 7-8 years ago..."
Herman thought carefully and scanned his eyes across the man with curiosity. That was when he noticed there was a tattoo wrapped around his wrist. 
A dragon's tail!
However, the tattoo had been reworked a little and there were lotus flowers around the base of the tail. Lotus flowers were a symbol of purity; of rising from the darkness. Just like the way that a lotus flower emerged from muddy waters unscathed, it seemed, this man had emerged from prison and started a new life.
Kwon saw the man look at his tattoo and smiled. With one swift movement, he lifted his sleeve so the man could have a better look. As expected, the base of the tattoo was exactly the same as Herman's. It was the same dragon from the same artist. The only difference was, Kwon's tattoo had been reworked to convey a completely different meaning. Not only did the dragon look like it was emerging with the lotus flowers, the white pearl in its mouth was transformed into a Yin-Yang symbol and its body was surrounded by splashes of water. The dark, dull underworld tattoo was now a piece of art with multiple meanings. Like a dragon emerging from the darkness (the lotus), Kwon was cleansed (by water) and had reached a balance in life (the Yin-Yang symbol).
At that moment, Herman suddenly remembered the man. 7-8 years ago, when Kwon was in his early 20's, he accompanied his boss to meet with Herman. He was a foul-mouthed, arrogant punk at that time, but now, that scrawny little troublemaker had turned into a mature businessman that owned one of the most popular bars in Itaewon.
Hope glittered in Herman's eyes. Kwon was the perfect example of someone that had picked himself up, turned a new leaf, and started a new life. If this man could do it, then he could do it too...

Meanwhile, Jackson and Halia arrived at the nearest hospital they could find. Kwon had left one of his boys with them to help with translation if needed and the young man quickly got one of the doctors to check on Halia. The young man's name was Lucas. He was only 18, but he could already converse perfectly in Korean, Mandarin, and English.
As Jackson and the young man waited outside for the doctors to run a thorough checkup on Halia, Jackson asked Lucas with interest, "How did you end up working for Kwon?"
He knew that Kwon generally hired ex-convicts, reformed gangsters, and troubled teens, but this young man looked clean-cut and well educated. What was his story?
Lucas smiled, "I met him when I was 15. I ran away from home because my father was a drug addict and I ended up on the streets. If Kwon didn't happen to walk past me one day, I may have joined a gang to survive. Kwon practically raised me like a younger brother. He gave me a place to stay, he found me a part-time job at a convenience store, and he paid for my tuition fees so I could continue studying. Since his bar is in Itaewon, I decided to repay him by studying languages. That way, I can help with the foreigners that visit. I'll be working there starting from this summer when I turn 19."
Jackson nodded proudly, Kwon had turned into such a great person and he was happy for him.
At that moment, the door to the doctor's room finally opened and Halia walked back out.
The doctor looked at Lucas and said a few things in Korean. Although she knew some basic English, it was easier to explain Halia's condition in her mother tongue, so she let the young man do the translating instead.
Lucas nodded his head as he listened. The doctor seemed to be saying a lot and it made the couple anxious. They even saw Lucas furrow his brows at one point. Was Halia's condition serious?
Finally, after what seemed like forever, the doctor finished speaking and Lucas bowed politely at the middle-aged woman. He then turned to the couple and said, "The doctor told Mrs. Wu to go home and get some rest. Don't strain your body too much, remember to eat breakfast, have foods with fiber if you can, take some iron and folic acid vitamins, eat about two meals of fish or shellfish a week, stay away from soft cheeses and lunch meat, limit caffeine and avoid alcohol..."
Lucas listed all the things that the doctor had told him, but the couple were getting impatient. "Stop, Lucas! Can you tell us what the diagnosis is first? Is it something serious?" Jackson finally interrupted.
Lucas looked at the anxious couple and shook his head, "The doctor said...Mrs. Wu is pregnant..."

Realizing that his headset was not working, Tefman was about to look at his headset but a sudden hand gesture from Kwon Je made him take his own hand out. He did not intend to reject a handshake while hundreds of hunters were watching.

However, unintentionally, his hand went out without his will and pushed Kwon Je's chest. This was an emergency. Dozens of cameras were filming this moment live for the global news. It looked very much like Kwon Je offered him a handshake and Tefman rejected it and pushed him away.

Startled, Tefman tried to move back, but his body kept moving forward involuntarily towards Kwon Je.

"I'll take some beating for a bit."
Multiple weapons slashed Kwon Je and his white clothes soon turned red. It definitely looked like life and death situation, but Kim Juhan and Saladin just stood there watching. His agents were a little startled, but they calmed them down.
"He is going to make some big trouble"
The two already knew how strong Kwon Je was. He wouldn't budge even if it were them who was beating him up like crazy. There must be a reason why he was taking a beating right now.
And soon, they all found out why.
Kwon Je, who seemed to be retreating unstably, smiled a creepy deadly grin.
He looked back quickly to hint them to not to interrupt before he fixed his breath. His upper body was bleeding, but it was just some skin. He could heal himself in no time, but he intentionally left them that way for what he was about to do.
