And it is not different on how primitive they were when it comes to their food and other necessities like their Shelter & Clothes.

They also don't have the primary tools or household apparatus like kitchen utensils, furniture and other things present on a basic house in the modern day. But with the help of the Talking Book, they started to learn and adapt to a more sophisticated standard of living compared to their primitive lives.

In just a week, the village became more advanced. 
Walls made of Clay Bricks, some roofs were made of woven nipa, bamboo tiles, or wild beast's hide, they also learned to make windows for proper ventilation and a detachable door made of bamboo strips. Wooden fences, water well, Fire torches, Rock Fire Stoves, Wooden stools and tables, and other things that is useful was produced by the Tribesmen.

The funny thing is they were way too advanced in terms of agriculture and the tools they were also following an advance systematic farming and food processing. They also know a lot of method on preserving food.

There were also Carts with wooden wheels, raft for the river, and  crafted by Apo Tasyo.
He also imparted weapon making to the other tribesmen.
Spears were the most suitable for the Tribesmen, they can thrust, slice, poke, & any random moves to hit the target while maintaining a safe distance. They can also throw the spears making it a versatile weapon. Rock-blade tip and bamboo body is what their spear is composed of.

Apo Isko also ordered the tribesmen to make watch towers so they can watch out for wild beasts attack or Invaders that may intrude their territory.
Using Rock-blade, they were making ladders on the trunks of the large trees and on top of the trees, they made a bamboo floor on the large branches and covered it with walls using weaved leaves and grasses which is camouflaging to the tree leaves.
If you will not observe it closely, you will not notice that it was a watchtower.

They're now slowly upgrading their village. 
Fortifying the defense and improving their weapons.

Now, they were only lacking the fighting capabilities.

Most of them only learned how to fight using fists, legs, and their whole body:
Punch and Kick were the basic brawl technique that you will learn instinctively
Tackle, Grapple, and Take Down were also common when it comes to brawl
Headbutt, Elbow & Knee strikes, and tripping comes handy when in close combat.
But there's no proper training or fighting knowledge were handed down by their ancestors.
They were all barbaric fighters or they can only win by using brute force, speed, endurance, and luck.

How can they match the other tribes who learned low tier martial arts and undergoes training?
Aren't they asking for a beating when the Summer-End Meeting comes? Are they going home without winning a single female from other tribes? Of course, they will not let it happen.

A monitor was hanging near roof watching him 24/7. Xiao was not surprised. The researcher should record and study his behaviours. There was a book shelf too. Xiao found several book about basic knowledge of machinist. 
Blue planet, SL-year 687, one of planets for new players. It was not long since the civilisations in this planet to explore the universe.  The exploration was limited to low planet space stations. The development of technology was close to earth. The best knowledge one can expert for super power was advanced knowledge.
The knowledge of super power can be divided into five levels: basic, advanced, high-end, top-end, ultimate. Certain level of knowledge was required for players to enter higher power class. The opening of the knowledge tree required players to find basic knowledge in the game. To level up talents, players needed free talent points which can be obtained by level up or special missions.
Xiao planned to hold his 2 free talents points in case of emergency. Luckily, he was free after trainings everyday. Xiao spent all his free time on machine...
Time flied. Xiao gained experience through machine assembly and modification. As he became more and more familiar, the perfection rate could maintain over 90%. Repetition of assembly of one machine, the experience would gradually reduced to 0. Fortunately, there was a weapon room in the base which offered him plenty of samples to study on.

The researchers were soon disappointed on him as quick machine/handgun assembly was easy for normal agents. This improvement was not they expected from warki solution. They needed warriors. After one month, they stopped watching Xiao 24/7 and draw the conclusion that he was a failed subject and spent their effort on improving warki solution.
Xiao was relived that he didn't have to act dumb under the monitor any more. Because of his slow improvement, the sprout paid less and less attention to him. Only Gramme and Ballotta still had an eye on him. Gramme was curious about Xiao's improved learning ability and applied the permissions to cut his skull many times. But all responses were 'not yet'. Ballotta was keen on torturing people. However, he was forbidden to torture other colleagues. Thus, the 'dumb' subject was perfect for his kinky. Because of recovering solution, his kinky was not banned.
Xiao remembered the pain of every cut and he stayed low, waited for the chance....
One day, an armed guard came in and took away many materials.
"The organisation is disappointed on you. From today, the resource on you will be cut 80%."
Meanwhile, a bold head man stood in front of Xiao. His eyes were full of scorn and proud. He was One, the second survived subject.
"I hear that you are the subject before me and the organisation spent loads of resource on you. But you can only play these useless shit. You are a failure. He saw Xiao as a competitor but Xiao ignored his provocation and stayed low. 
The birth of One was as expected. He was strong and could be trained as warriors, future deadpool. As there was no other logistics in the base, Xiao was allowed to keep the machine modification room. But the materials and parts he got were far less than before. Several guards walked past and discussed them as ridicule right in front of their face.
"Two poor worms!"
"Subjects, deadpool and 'happily' brain washed. I would rather die!"
"Watch out, they are here."
"Easy, they are brained washed anyway."

Half year past, Xiao figured out all the passages and guards. There were three floors in the base which was hidden in forest. Sixty armed guards were responsible for the security here. Haila was the commander of the base and Gramme was in charge of the lab. The organisation sent some 'human subjects' whose memory were erased to the base per month by helicopters.

And unlocked a special talent |Well trained| - extra 100 points of health which was great for him. Profession |Agent| was unlocked too which brought the character level to 4.
With all the efforts, |Basic repair| and |Basic modification| went up to lv.4. |basic fight| and |basic shooting| went up to lv.2. One of the limit of machinist as players was lack of resource. Luckily, Xiao had all materials 'free' from the sprout. Finally, all the gun-related weapons in the base had been studied by Xiao and his experience pool went to 600,000! The time ratio between the 'real life' and 'in game' was one to six. The half year he spent in base was like one month game time on earth. 600,000 was extraordinary in one month for new players.

"The request from Gramme was allowed, He can have Zero" The leader said from the call.
"You always say no." Haila frowned.

For the next year I began reading and writing and playing like a child should, most of my past childhood was trying to attract couples or keeping my head down so I didn't attract the attention of the head mistress of the orphanage. Both of my parents where ecstatic I could read and write by the time I was two your going to be a grand blacksmith son soon as we get some muscle on you. Dad I said rolling my eyes I'm two not even able to go to school yet let alone work in the shop which I found out after I could walk was right next to the house. I could now read chapter books and write however much I wanted with no help, mom also spent more time in the forge with dad leaving me with my older brother John which I know I know is a huge coincidence but it made me happy so I didn't care. 

We played games and he taught me some of the math they had begun learning in school, all of it was arbitrary but I listened and acted with enthusiasm which always made him happy to teach his little brother. I didn't mind spending time with him I'd never had a blood brother before it was a different sort of connection I was glad to finally have, but during my free time I would walk over to the school which also contained the library and I would read to my hearts content. I learned that we lived one of many continents their where a total of five, on each compass point as well as a central continent where most of the wars where fought. I lived in the eastern continent that only had two countries both fairly large each about the size about Europe. The Autum Empire and the country I lived in called Xersai, both where relatively peaceful they had small skirmishes but no large wars unlike other parts of the world specifically the southern continent which was smaller the the East but had three times the kingdoms. 
After reading almost every book in the library by the time I was three I finally found two books that interested me the most. A History of Magic and another book that didn't have a title but gave very basic information about magic, I smiled time to finally learn something new. 

The book first talked about the different forms of magic which seemed basic and where the same as most books fantasy books he had read on Earth. Water, Fire, Air, Earth , Light and Dark but just below these was a sentence written in small letters no new form of magic has been found or created in the last two hundred years if a new element is found or created the book will automatically update itself. "Woah a book that that updates itself?" "You can form new magic, damn that's good to know" the book then went on to explain various beginner spells. The next chapter explained that you can combine certain elements together to make something new, such as combining Water and Fire would create steam. It had various other examples but non of them super mind blowing. The last chapter explained at the age of six you can go the local doctor who can test you for the different elements and your affinity for each. "Well, might as well learn as much magic as I can before I go to the  doctor."

Although Xie Yan may have understated the book a little. The book's theory is indeed quite simple.
The book teaches a palm-move in which when the palm is in contact with the said victim. The qi used in the palm would give some kind of a small explosion on contact.
Naturally, a theory is not the same as practical. Applying it to a real-life combat isn't as easy as one's thoughts. Since, when fighting you must also be careful about the other party's attack. Doing it in the midst of an intense-battle isn't something one can scoff at.
And that was assuming that the user is able to use the moves properly. After all, it is not as simple as applying qi on the hand. Some people may never even learn this with months of training.
Suddenly a portion of a tree's trunk was blown to smithereens.

On the fifth day. A much more substantial amount of qi compare to the previous breakthrough were now gathering inside the cave. All of that qi however gets fully-absorbed by Xie Yan's body as if it is just eating a snack.
After a few minutes. That scenery had finally ended. Then a silence that had been on the cave for days finally gets broken.

Xie Yan slowly opens his eyes.
"Alright, let's see how big of a difference is for each realm!"
Then Xie Yan slowly stands up and came out of the cave.

Xie Yan who sees the result can't help but widened his eyes!
"The heck! That is too much of a difference! I didn't even use a qi on that!"
If this were to be 5 days ago. Xie Yan wouldn't even cause any damage to the tree. And if he were to use a punch filled with qi then only a dent will be created.
But the main point here is that Xie Yan hasn't even consolidated his realm yet! If he did how strong would that be?!

Harry's POV

It was Christmas, and the entire castle was filled with joy, except of Harry who was hoping to have a Christmas with his friend who went home for the break.
So after opening the gift he got from Luna, a transfigured tiara that looked like Ravenclaw's tiara in the books (they agreed to only gift each other gifts they used magic to create) he had no-one to spend the holidays with, and no spacial plan for the time but, instead of being depressed, Harry did what he did best, what he did when the thoughts about the future overwhelmed him, when the memory of his parents corpse flashed in his mind, when his ex-friends left him - throw himself into his studies.
Yes, it might not be the most healthy way to deal with things by avoiding thinking about them, but it is one of the better ways to deal.
So instead of laying in his own misery like cannon Harry would have, Harry used the holiday to buy learn c language books he bought before and start programming.
He also used the time of winter break to work on the four gifts he gave this year.

A book that mend basic misinformation all magical people seem to have, a book he only wrote once and used the Gemini curse to make it have copies for a few days as although he wanted everyone to read it, he was also afraid of what would happen if it falls into the wrong hands.
In addition, he finally managed to do forth year's transfigurations which was harder yet easier then third year.
The control is harder as animated to animated transfigurations is more of a partial transformation then a total one, where the parts of the body change shape but not itself, and while it sound easier, for it to be considered successful it need to be in one spell. 
Yet, it is easier as you don't need to put as many orders, as it already has basic instincts.

Luna's POV

Luna woke up to and ran as fast as she can to the living room, while yelling to her father to wake up! It is Christmas! She was super excited as this year was the first time she would get present from a friend.
As she came down, she sat near the tree as her father came.
"Hey, Moon pie. Let's open the presents.
Open mine first."
After opening the present from her father (a lucky charm with silver wrackspurts) the yearly pudding gift from Mrs. Weasley (which she ate in 10 seconds... mmmm pudding) and her dad opening presents from her (a bracelet made of Unicorn hair she got from Hagrid) and from other people, she finally opened Harry's gift.

When she opened the page it was about a guy named Neil Armstrong as she read about the guy who went to the moon, she turned the page and saw a card.
Inside of it was written:
'Muggle believe magic is fairy tale, magical believe traveling to the moon is fiction.

As she finished reading the note, Luna understood for the first time what she feels whenever she was with Harry, Love.

Daphne's POV 

It was Daphne's first time staying in Hogwarts for the holidays. Which also meant, it was Daphne's first time celebrating Christmas, as at home they were celebrating Yule like all the proper pure-bloods.
So, while she kind of missed the winter ritual for health, and didn't understand why would wizards celebrate the birth of a crazy wizard who thought he heard the voice of god and that muggle believe to be god, especially as his religion is the reason witch hunting became so popular, she was excited for one thing- presents.
So it wasn't surprising that she, Tracy and Blasé, the only ones of her group who stayed in school, were wake in the common room and ready to open gifts at 7:00 am, together with Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle who also stayed in school. What did surprise her was seeing Harry at 7:15, coming from outside sweaty and in short muggle clothes.
Wondering what did he do outside, she was about to ask when Tracy by her side did it.
"What were you doing outside in summer sport's clothes?"
"Exercising." He said with a little bit of a smirk.
"I know that." Tracy said with an eye roll. "I meant why are you wearing that? It is freezing outside."
"Well, thank goodness I'm a wizard and know heating charm. Now, if you excuse me, I would go take a shower as running does make me sweaty."
After that he left to take a shower and they brought each other the presents they got.
Not noticing Harry didn't have his wand on him

A few hours later

After opening the gifts, they talked, joked and played till lunch.
After which she went back to her room to sleep only to find another gift with a card on her bed.
On the card was written:
'Sometimes the hardest things in life, are the things most worth doing. It's because we haven't figuered them out yet, doesn't mean we wont.

The Weasley twins POV 

If there was one holiday the twins loved it was April first, with everyone pranking each other, but second place they would definitely choose Halloween, with candies and everyone scaring everyone, not to mention the costumes, and third place would be new year, with fire works.
After that there is Purim, again costumes and the noise you do when someone say "Haman", Easter, with chocolate and egg searching,
Hanukkah - how can you not love donuts???
So yes, they don't love Christmas.
They don't hate it, it just wasn't their favorite or even close.
If you want to find the reason why, you would have to understand their parents take everything about muggles literally, so when their family started celebrating muggle holidays, and their mother heard about the fact that naughty kids get coal and let's just say, they where never calm, and disciplined children, and for a 6th years old children to get coal when every other sibling get presents... well it was a little traumatic.
So, while they don't hate Christmas, they absolutely don't love it and they don't exchange gifts with any of their friends (to all of which they explained it), which was why, when they woke up and saw two gifts except from their mother gift they were surprised.
Opening the first, they saw weird objects and a card that said 'if you opened me first, close it and open the second gift'

After laughing about the page number they opened the book and saw it was talking about technology, one line especially caught their eyes.
"'Technology can't work in a place with magic' is the biggest bullshit pure-bloods has ever said loud enough and long enough to confuse everyone. And the worst thing is that they believe it themselves. If magic and Technology can't coexist, how is it possible that Diagon Ally is in the middle of muggle London? And that near all the technology of the train station there is the 9 3/4 station?"
After that The book talked and showed pictures of some technologies which amazed the twins like the telephones and some that horrified them like Nuclear weapons.
In the end of the chapter about technology there was this sentence:
'Just like how all magic can be used for good and evil, technology is the same.
You don't blame the knife if it stubs you, but the person who did it' 
With another note at the end
'The other gift is some muggle pranks like the box of candies, go wild with those pranks and the knowledge in the book but remember: Even if you create innocent things- you have to think about the bad things they could be used for'
After reading that, the twins looked at each other and said at the same time: "best Christmas ever" and began planing to make Ronnikin their rat lab for the pranks.

As the workshop wasn't that busy, Han Xiao had quite a lot of free time to look for the extra income he needed.
Kero Junkyard: the biggest disposal ground in District 7. Here, endless piles of trash were sorted out everyday.
This place fell under the territory of an underworld boss known as Big Raccoon. Where there is light, there will be shadows—such is society—and this holds all the more true in times of chaos.
Although the Western Capital was the main capital of Stardragon, it was certainly not a holy sanctuary for the law-abiding. It was infiltrated with spies from other nations, and plagued by criminal networks and illegal businesses. Small-time bosses like Big Raccoon may have been infamous, but they were certainly not the key players.
As Han Xiao entered the junkyard with a dust mask on, he was stopped by a few vicious-looking thugs.
"Kid, you're in the wrong neighborhood."
A bald, muscular thug blocked Han Xiao's path as he stared him down. To them, Han Xiao, with his small frame, looked like an easy target to bully.
Han Xiao, unfazed, spoke. "I want to see Raccoon."
The thugs instantly burst out in laughter.
"We don't have time to play with you, kid. Run home to mummy, or I'll break your legs," threatened the bald thug.
"Is that what Raccoon teaches his dogs to say?"
"What did you say?" The bald thug was enraged. He began to grab Han Xiao by the collar.
Han Xiao looked back at the thug calmly as he squeezed his wrist.
The pain caused the thug to let go of his grip, and when he looked at his wrist, he found that there were already bruise marks on them.
"Friend, which gang are you from?" The bald thug's expression had changed to one of caution.
Suddenly, he paused to listen to his receiver and stepped away from Han Xiao's path, saying, "The boss wants to see you."
Han Xiao followed the bald thug and was brought to a resting area inside the junkyard where a thin man sat cross-legged on a sofa as he enjoyed a glass of red wine. From his appearance alone it was hard to believe that this man was the infamous Raccoon who ruled the District 7 underworld.
"I heard that you want to see me. What's your name?" he casually asked.
"Technician Han," answered Han Xiao.
The Raccoon sneered.
"You should know what will happen to you if you're just wasting my time."
The reason why he had agreed to letting Han Xiao in was that he was curious to see what business a snotty-looking brat had with him.
Suddenly, Han Xiao reached out to steal the bald thug's gun. The bald thug felt a tug at his waist and turned around, but it was too late.
The grunts behind Raccoon hastily drew their guns.
"What's the meaning of this?" he asked nervously. The bald thug was one of his most trusted subordinates, and he was strong enough to take on ten people at the same time. Yet, he wasn't able to react to Han Xiao's speed! Who the hell is this kid?
Unexpectedly, Han Xiao began to disassemble the gun, but it wasn't a simple disassembly. The gun unraveled almost instantaneously, as if Han Xiao were performing some kind of magic; the disassembled parts fell and scattered onto the floor.
"Firearms are a sure-profit. I can help you manufacture them in exchange for a little bit of compensation."
This kid can make guns!
Firearms were hot in demand in the black market. Using a gun and making a gun were two completely separate concepts. Mechanics who knew how to create guns were rare and highly esteemed. Even though Raccoon was the leader of a gang, they were just small-time hoodlums. To be able to find a mechanic willing to make guns for them was inconceivable; yet, here Han Xiao was. 'This is my chance!' thought Raccoon.
"What arrangements do you have in mind?"
"I will make a list of materials and parts for you to gather. Manufacturing and assembly will all be done by me. I'll come here to work for two hours every morning. I want $1500 per gun, and freedom to take anything I want from this junkyard."
Han Xiao had already thoroughly analyzed the Germinal Organization's guns. He was now able to easily make simple guns.
"Since I'm providing the materials, $1000," negotiated Raccoon.
Han Xiao instantly turned around and began to walk away.
This caused Raccoon to become flustered. He had only been trying to test out Han Xiao, and did not expect such a big reaction.
"Wait wait wait—we'll follow your charges," he hastily said.
One handgun was worth $3,000 to $4,000 on the black market. Han Xiao's asking fee was still quite reasonable.
"Get a workbench ready, along with the materials. I will come from tomorrow onwards. I'll go check the junkyard out now."
A skilled craftsman always retained the power to dictate his terms. Han Xiao knew full well his own value. Furthermore, his true strength and identity was a mystery to them. This gave him the complete upper hand.

Han Xiao salvaged quite a number of parts from the junkyard before leaving. As he left, he noticed that someone was following him. Clearly, Raccoon was trying to find out more information about him. However, for Han Xiao, shaking him off the thug was an easy task.
Division 13 will learn of my mechanic skills… thought Han Xiao to himself. The fact that he was working with Raccoon would definitely be found out by them. In any case, it was a way to demonstrate his abilities to them, plus he also needed the opportunity to craft machinery for experience.
The reason he had chosen Raccoon was due to the junkyard's proximity.

When he returned to the workshop, Lu Qian questioned his whereabouts.
"I went to the junkyard," said Han Xiao, pointing to the big bag of spare parts in his hand.
"The junkyard? That place is not safe. Don't go there in the future."
Lu Qian wasn't really concerned with what Han Xiao did in his free time as long as his did his job right. In fact, she had a soft spot for people who did not demand high pay.
Han Xiao put the spare parts aside and summoned the interface. He still had a lot of unused Potential points, and he decided he would dump all of them into the two unlocked 'Arms' talents.
This workshop was a treasure trove of Mechanic knowledge. It was one of the best places to level up as a mechanic. Han Xiao went to look for Old Man Lu to borrow some of his books. He found him cooped up in his room as he expected.
"I wish to borrow some Mechanic knowledge books."
"Go away, you! There's not a single book for you here."
"Don't be so petty! Think of it as investing into a promising young man and nurturing him."
"… It seems like you are more thick-skinned than me. However, I simply don't want to lend you my books. What can you do about it?"
What, indeed, could Han Xiao do about it?

The following day, Lu Qian entered Old Man Lu's room with a spare key and stole some books for Han Xiao. Old Man Lu was infuriated.
"Why do I have such a disloyal granddaughter‽
"Just you wait! I will make you leave this workshop!"

In Galaxy, each player's advancement mission was not always the same. Han Xiao's Lv. 20 advancement mission could be counted as one of the harder ones as advancement knowledge was extremely rare on beginner planets. In fact, his advancement difficulty was actually comparable to a Lv. 40 one.
Most Lv. 20 characters were usually unable to find basic knowledge for even one talent tree. Some unlucky ones would not even have a main class.
Since there wasn't any advancement knowledge in the workshop, Han Xiao could only learn more basic knowledge. However, Han Xiao was content with this. Finding knowledge books was a common problem for players. Some players weren't even able to learn all their class's basic knowledge by Lv. 40 or even Lv. 50!
Fortunately for Han Xiao, the workshop contained a complete set of basic Mechanic knowledge, which more than gave him a head start—it was an expressway to the finish line!

Han Xiao was a professional power leveler before his transmigration. Using his past life's knowledge, Han Xiao sweeps through the universe as he prepares for the arrival of the players. This is definitely not your typical transmigration novel.

As time passed Fraser didn't care about the aura anymore. Instead, he spent his days focusing on his improvement. 

A sleep time of only a couple of hours allowed Fraser to maximize his time. The increase in his spirit allowed him to sleep less while recovering more as the spirit increased the processing speed of the brain and his increased vitality allowed his body to recover completely of the fatigue caused by the mental work. 

Fraser only once left his private chambers for a longer time period than ten minutes. It was when Fraser stored every single book of the outpost library in the AI database. 

After storing the entire library in the AI database Fraser quickly deduced that the library mostly was there in order to inform the students about the various dangerous animals one could encounter at the Howling Abyss. Also, there was a lot of book simply for materials, how to extract them, how to store them in order to not lose the vital parts, how to hunt animals for their materials, how to harvest plants while not hurting yourself and how to survive while getting hunted by the material you wanted to harvest. 

Yes, the Howling Abyss seemed like a place where everything was dangerous and wants to kill you. 

But there was nothing dangerous for Fraser, he simply stayed in his private chamber and researched his materials which he had brought from the Academy.

'I need to start learning on how to create the basic wound mending potion and the basic strengthening potion, also it would be better if I learn the four spirit technique before walking out of this private chamber in order to explore the howling abyss. The Knight technique also needs to be trained until satisfactory in order to increase my strength.' 

Just as Fraser took out the recipe for the basic wound mending potion a notice of the AI sounded through his head. 

[Modified spell model of dark rope successfully created, the linking pattern combusted into nothing and the runes didn't collapse] 

As soon as the notice of the AI disrupted Fraser from his studying of the basic wound mending potion he frowned. 

However, hearing the success of a modified spell model Fraser delightfully commanded the AI to show the modified spell mode. 

'AI, simulate the modified spell model of dark rope. What attribute changed? Is it an overall increase or is it an overall decrease?' 

[Not enough data to be able to simulate the modified spell mode of dark rope, more date needed to calculate a possibility] 

'Then why are you able to simulate the modified linking patterns and different rune sizes for a spell model? Shouldn't you have enough data? AI explain how the simulating process for modifying the spell model work.' 

[The AI creates a simulation of a spirit room and this simulated spirit room allows the modifications of the spell model in random patterns. It creates runes of random size and then links them with other runes of random size. Then every rune combination that collapsed as well as every rune combination that didn't collapse will be saved in the database. After that, each successfully linked runes pair will be linked with another random rune and it continues until every rune of the spell model is used up and the simulation either collapses or is successful] 

'So what is the true reason why the AI is not able to simulate the modified spell mode? AI if I have enough spirit in order to simulate the world, would I be able to simulate the modified spell model?' 

[Negative, there is not enough data for the AI to simulate the world. More data is needed to calculate the result of the modified spell model] 

'So right now I have a modified spell model, yet I am not able to use it as I don't even know the result of the AI simulation. Besides I don't even know if the dark rope spell model of the AI works as the modified spell model is only a simulation made by the AI. Great, I wasted so much spirit in order to power the simulation and right now I am back to zero.' 

With clearly visible disappointment on his face, Fraser grabbed the recipe of the basic wound mending potion and researched the necessary steps in order to create a basic wound mending potion. 

Fraser had a choice between learning the basic wound mending potion or the basic strengthening potion. Naturally, it wouldn't have mattered to Fraser if he still was in the Howling Abyss Academy where he had sold every potion for magic crystals in order to buy the stuff he wanted. 

But now the location is the outpost at the howling abyss. Fraser could have infinite magic crystals yet there was nothing he could have exchanged the magic crystal with. 

'As the magic crystal is rather useless or I don't know the usefulness of the magic crystal I will have to trade my potions for stuff I want. I don't know how the market at the outpost works but I believe that a healing potion sounds more appealing to somebody who is risking their lives than a potion which will strengthen them for a period of time.' 

Fraser pondered for a while but in the end, decided to focus on the basic wound mending potion even if the strengthening potion also sounded reasonable. 

After all, as the basic explosion potion could be used as the trump card, that was the information from the fatty, then a basic strengthening potion could also be a trump card, a trump card with a longer lasting effect. 

However, Fraser guessed that every single student of Magus Sept chose one of the three lessons he provided, animal taming, botany and alchemy. 

As Magus Sept probably warned every batch of student that Alchemy was a hard subject to learn, most probably either had botany and animal taming. 

As the description of the basic wound mending potion on its recipe said: "a potion that gives the wound or the living creature an external source of vitality, allowing it to close wounds without any loss of vitality or enhances the vitality of the creature…." 

Thus Fraser chose the basic wound mending potion as probably every student would need it for their animals, plants or even their own body. For example, the muscular woman or her equally muscular little brother could drink one in order to fix their wounds as they obviously seem to be melee fighters. 

Thus Fraser started to study the potion recipe of the basic wound mending potion which seemed similar to the basic explosion potion recipe. 

Each step described the extraction of the essence of the materials, fusing it once in a weird ration or twice or thrice and then fusing everything into the potion. 

Naturally, the time and the number of essences, as well as the components itself varied but the rest seemed to be identical. 

'So alchemy is only extracting stuff and then fusing it in a weird manner? That is rather easy once you know how to do it.' 

After reading the recipe of the basic wound mending potion Fraser started to follow the instructions.

Someone transmigrated into the body of a noble that was on his way to become a Magi. His only keepsake, an AI-Chip that had the ability to calculate and store information. Thus, follow the journey of Fraser Rosethorn.

Every type of magic in our world is based upon one or multiple of those types of energy. Neutral energy can be used as a placeholder in case a certain type of energy is not available, but its effects are limited. When establishing one's soul world, you should start by understanding which type of energy suits you the best and build something based on it...'

This is a passage about energy Joshua read in a book. This theory was commonly agreed upon, both old Easa & modern day's Cestor used it as a base for handling energy and developing their soul world. 

And it was completely wrong.  

Joshua's soul had been deemed to have an affinity for lightning. Therefore, most of his world consisted of either lightning or neutral energy. However, over the course of his experiments, Joshua had found a few contradictions regarding this statement. The first one appeared pretty early on when Catherine gave him some of her water energy to help establish his world. He just drank the water and it somehow produced lightning for him. He was pretty ignorant about the matter back then, but in retrospect, it was pretty odd. When he started using runes, it became more apparent. For example, if he had no fire energy inside his world, how did he manage to use the little fire rune? The obvious answer would be: well the rune creates fire energy as long as you put neutral energy in it! However, as Joshua found out, this was a half-truth. Seeing the interior of the rune in action, it was clear what was really going on. 

In reality, there was only one type of energy. To be more precise, a single particle of energy could take on different states, but it was possible for this state to change. Let's keep the fire rune as an example: when Joshua inserted energy in a neutral state into it, he saw those particles being turned into the fire state. The rune then released the newly made fire energy to create flames. 

This went against everything that was known today but the result of his analysis left little room for doubt. Of course, he had to perform a new set of experiments to see how he could best apply his newly founded knowledge. And… there was the matter of his world breaking apart, he had to develop a way to stabilize it without delay. 

"Sweetie, I'm going test a few things out. It's probably best if you leave for now. I don't want to make your head explode like mine almost did," he told Catherine.
"Very well, it's getting pretty late anyway. Unlike you, I need to rest. Just promise me to be careful…. Please, remove that insane grin you have right now," she replied, smiling. 
"Don't worry. My goal is creation, not destruction. While demolishing stuff is inevitable along the way, I don't want to make a habit out of it."
Catherine nodded and vanished, leaving Joshua to freely do what he wanted. 

Joshua considered his options for a moment and established a plan. His research toward runes had let to a rather fascinating discovery. There was no way around it, if he wanted to reform his soul world from scratch, he had to get a better understanding of energy particles. Luckily, he had every tool in his possession to do that. 

It had become a routine by now, but he once more entered his lab. He didn't like to go to war on an empty stomach, so he summoned a cup of coffee as well as a box of cookies. He took one with his right hand as he began to operate the computer with his left. A few seconds later, the design of the fire rune was visible on the screen. Since Luna had registered the functioning of every rune, a new option was available, allowing him to see the recording of the rune in action. 

It was time to revise his rune library. Back when he developed the physical training rune, he had used basic runes as the lowest level of input. Since more advanced runes were composed of several simple ones, creating complex runes via Luna was relatively easy. He could go a step further now: by dividing the basic runes into their different parts, he had access to more 'low-level' functionalities, which meant more simple commands that were closer to the raw data. For example, the fire rune was divided into three parts: absorbing energy, turning it into the fire state, and releasing the energy within to produce a flame. Joshua isolated the different parts and registered them as functions in the system. Next, he edited the rune's drawing function. The previous version drew the rune in one go, he replaced it to call each part one after another to complete the fire rune. Once done, he tested it out. This is the kind of change programmers love and managers wonder what the point is. The end result is the same, but the method behind it is much more beautiful. 

Of course, he had another reason to do this. What if he switched the parts around a bit? He tried a few different combinations, but as he expected, most didn't work. Similar to a circuit, a rune needed an entry point and an exit, if he put the 'convert to fire state' part first nothing happened. The only success consisted of linking the 'absorb energy' and the 'release energy' part. As one might expect, however, this wasn't very useful since it just absorbed energy on one side and released it on the other. Still, it wasn't a complete waste, Joshua could probably use this to develop a more efficient form of energy circuits with a bit of time. For the time being, it wouldn't help him out much, so he moved on to the next rune. 

He decided to stick to basic runes for now and took out the basic lightning rune. After breaking it apart, he ended with three parts, just like the fire rune: 'Absorb', 'Turn to lightning state' and 'Release'. Two of those were exactly the same as the fire rune, which didn't surprise him. Joshua then rapidly took a look at the other basic elementary runes. As he expected, the only different part was the middle one, turning the energy into a particular state. He took a bite out of a cookie and smiled. This whole system was perfectly logical and he started to think about plausible applications. 

A few hours later, he finished updating the rune library. Every rune was now programmed to be built using it's lowest known components. Proud of himself, he wondered what the others were doing but then realized it was the middle of the night. Nevermind then, he would just continue his research. He looked at the ice Catherine had filled the cracks of his world with, fixing those shouldn't be too hard. 

Thanks to the basic elementary runes, he now had seven energy state transformers. Each one took neutral energy and turned it into a specific element. However, he had no rune that turned energy back to its neutral state. Joshua scratched his head for a moment and decided to make one, it was the biggest short term gain he could think of. Developing such a transformer wasn't too difficult: he started by taking the 'neutral to fire' one and made some modifications to it to inverse the process. It took him a few tries but he soon ended up with a 'fire to neutral' transformer. Happy with the result, he proceeded to make one for every type of element. Next, he moved on to the aborb function. Normally, the energy inserted into a rune was of the neutral kind. With a few tweaks, he created a version for each state as well. 

Once that was done, it was time to fix his world. When he first arrived in this world, Catherine had performed a test and determined he had an affinity for lightning energy. While he now knew that wasn't entirely correct, he could still assume a soul had better compatibility for a certain state of energy. At least he hoped so, he didn't want his world to explode a second time. He was starting to get a better idea of what had happened to him. When he understood the state of an energy particle could change, part of his world accidentally turned from lightning into something else. It was only when Catherine froze the cracks that it calmed down. Therefore, to repair his world, he could theoretically use the ice Catherine had provided him and turn it lightning state to reform the broken parts. For that, he designed a new 4-part rune: 'Absorb Water' -> 'Turn Water to Neutral' -> 'Turn Neutral to Lightning' -> 'Release'. 

He approached the first ice block and activated the new rune on it. A pleased expression appeared in his eyes as the ice was slowly absorbed by the rune and ejected as lightning on the other side, which he immediately molded to reform the missing pieces of his world. To his delight, the process completed without any complication. Good! He could easily fix his world now. He ran over to the next block but as he was about to activate the rune again, an idea passed through his mind.

'Can I do even better?' he thought. 

He rushed back to his lab began to create another rune. His idea was simple: he was wondering if he could create a part that would turn water directly into lightning, that way he would only need a three-part rune to complete the conversion process instead of four! This may sound silly but Joshua was a programmer to the core. He wanted his creation to be optimized as much as possible. 

To create the new component, he took the existing one as a base, except he replaced the part where water was turned into a neutral state by lightning parts. It wasn't too difficult and took him about 20 minutes to complete. This was something new, so he was very careful with it and tested it out in his lab before attacking the big ice blocks. He turned some energy into the water state and filled it all in a water bottle. Next, he carefully had the new rune absorb the water; hoping lightning would come out of it. However, things didn't go as planned. Instead of lightning particles, water drops exited the rune and were floating around the area. Furthermore, the water drops were all emanating small electricity sparks. He carefully grabbed one particle and examined its state. His eyes went wide as the particle was simultaneously both in the lightning and water state. 

'... OK, now that's new…" he thought.

After dying, our main character found himself summoned by a young woman. She comes from a long line of summoners and had expected to partner up with a powerful being, like the rest of her family. Instead, she summoned a computer programmer, who from now on will be living inside her head. Powerless, he's unable to help her with the upcoming war. Disappointed that neither of them had been blessed by fate with some divine abilities, he decides to build a computer system inside her head himself.
