In a dark alleyway Adam is discharged out of his body in a somewhat honorable fashion only to be received by a female host. He assumes a new identity Eve and begins a journey of a humble dew farmer, but what will the future have in store for him/her?

"Welcome Brennen. Tell us all that you learned."


"What happened on the battlefield?" One of the men asked in his standing position. "Power. One that could rival and pose a threat to ours." He answered the inquirer and turned to I-am. "But not to yours, My Lord. There's no power greater than the will of darkness." He assured. 


"Could you identify this person?" Adler, one of them inquired. "No, I wasn't close enough. And I don't have good sight like you." Adler smiled and rubbed his eyes feeling flattered. 


"What makes you think his/her power could rival ours?"  Beastus angered by Brennen's first statement. 


" Ah, Beastus, the blaze of a fire can never be exaggerated. You should know Brennen better by now, he doesn't exaggerate. Isn't that right?, Brennen." Iwanuwu, a woman among them defended Brennen. 


Brennen glanced at her, untouched by her words, "They will all burn the way she did."

Back at Fort Hanning's forth tower. Akoni yawns out of boredom while Nosagie gives his boring lectures.


"Magic is art, well mystic art and creativity. A mage is like an artist, a soldier has his reflexes, a mage has imagination and will. Although it's not a crime to have all three." Nosagie circled Akoni in an interrogatory manner."You were able to bend your shadow magic into fire, (black fire), even though you did it unconsciously. A mage should be able to make constructs for defense and also for offense  like…," He stretched out his right hand from his garment and curved his fingers in a semi circle, lightning formed in it and when completed was a staff made out of lightning. The light reflected on their faces and lightened the place around them. 


Akoni widened his eyes when he saw it. "…or a sword," the staff bent into the shape of a sword, "…or a bow," the sword bent into a bow. The string of the bow came out of the semi circle, he dragged the string towards himself and an arrow was formed, it got longer and bigger the more he pulled the string. 
Nosagie stopped his demonstration and sighed. 


"Now--," He was interrupted by Akoni. "No, No, No, No, Not another lecture, Please," he counted his words. "I thought we were supposed to be increasing my energy blast's potency," he made an energy ball. 


The wizard glared at him and used earth magic to raise a wall in between them. "Hit it!" He ordered. Akoni pushed the ball forward from his palm, the ball hit hard but only managed to put a scratch on the wall.


"This is what I was trying to explain to you just now. You couldn't get a good damage, because your attack was weak. You anticipated the wall to be weak." Nosagie explained. "If I attack with an energy blast and you make a shield. If you anticipate poorly, my blast will not only shatter your shield but might also fracture your arm. In conclusion always expect something big even if the enemy is weaker than you." 


Akoni sighed in understanding. He stood in a posture that indicated he was going for another try.

Outside the walls of the fort, soldiers and mages are gathering the remaining metal scraps from the battlefield. Berry, Dune and Gaze were also  among the many on the field.


"Why are doing this again?" Gaze asked tired from carrying metal spikes and crushed pieces of armour. "We have to recycle, we need all the metal we can get before the monsters come back for a second wave," Dune replied as he bent down to drag a breastplate only for it to come up with the person's insides. He withdrew and dropped the piece due to it's awful smell and irritable look. He shook his hands off the little stains of blood and gut. He later went for another piece. 


The three of them made their way through other soldiers and mages. A very short female mage, or should I say dwarf, lifted her scraps with telekinesis magic while reading a small book. Gaze admired the skill and beckoned to Berry, 


"Can't you do one of those?" he said using his head to show the direction of the mage. 
"I can but telepaths aren't my biggest strength, I'll need a grimoire to do it since I can't remember the exact spells." 
Gaze nodded in confusion like an agama lizard, "What's a Grimoire?" 


"A grimoire is a textbook of magic spells and incantations. It contains instructions like a textbook. Only old and high mages like Obebo, Igie Ohen, Nosagie and my grandfather can remember a lot of 'em. The rest of us refer to the grimoire, or copy a piece of it."
"Oh, that's make sense," he chuckled.


Three mage brothers bumped into them, Berry in particular. All three had long dirty light brown hair, stinky slim fit robes. Their hair was so long it was an inch away from the back of their knees. Their abnormal hair length is their special physical feature that indicates them being mages, "Watch were you going, punks," the older brother said, with the last word being silent. "Yeah, you too," Berry returned the advice. "What did you say? Daddy's girl," the older brother moved backwards and brought his ear low trying to intimidate the lady. He moved close to her, looking her dead in the eye. 


Berry's hands coiled into fists. Her breath was hot. "Look, I will burn you so bad that your brothers will bury nothing but ash." She threatened and the grounds under his feet began to burn. He looked frightened but tried to hide it. Gaze as well, "Did you hear that?" He asked Dune in fright. Dune walked in between them and pointed at the older brother, "You backoff! Berry calm down." He tried separating them. 


The scene called the attention of those nearby. They watched without interfering, some to their own amusement seeing the older brother was scared. The older brother reluctantly went back to his brothers not taking his eyes off Berry.


"Hot headed, no wonder her brother died," the older brother said, this time in a more audible tone. Berry squeezed her fists and gnashed, he raised her right hand up and snapped her middle finger and thumb, creating fire on the older brother's cloth. 


The ignition made his other brothers lose balance. He screamed as his clothing and  upper skin burned.  


A female mage, who was standing by, drew water from the earth with silent incantations and blasted the burning man in a vexing manner. 


His brothers got on their feet attempting to retaliate, but the odds were against them. Dune drew out his sword, and soldiers around him did the same, the mages present there pointed their fingers and hands which sparkled with magic, they noticed everyone was against them and  carried their brother.


Nosagie and Akoni watched all this from top of the tower. Obebo and other high mages also watched the scene from a nearby tower but chose not to interfere. Nosagie faced Akoni, "Do not leave this place. I'll be back." He instructed, his eyes glowed.


He vanished to the centre of it, "Both of you, inside, with me now!" He said as the dust in the air from his entrance settled down. 


Akoni ran off the top of the tower, disobeying Nosagie's orders. He got to the ground floor, trying to find Berry or Nosagie, he searched through the halls but couldn't find either of them. 


"Akoni," Akoni heard his name from behind, it was Gaze.


"Hey guys, what happened?"


"Berry got into a quarrel."


"I'm pretty sure that was more than a quarrel," Gaze said to Dune.


"I know, I saw it. I meant what really happened," he expatiated. Dune narrates everything that had happened

"…There are no chosen ones only the choices we make." Nosagie said.

Brennen glanced at her, untouched by her words, "They will all burn the way she did."

Okunhon, a female mage on an embroidered garment was standing by, she drew water from the earth with silent incantations. The water hissed out of the ground in a serpent like manner and blasted the burning man in a vexing manner. 

His brothers got on their feet attempting to retaliate, but the odds were against them. Dune drew out his sword, and soldiers around him did the same, the mages present there pointed their fingers and hands which sparkled with magic, they noticed everyone was against them and carried their brother. 

Nosagie and Akoni watched all this from top of the tower. Obebo and other high mages also watched the scene from a nearby tower but chose not to interfere. Most high mages have mastered a hearing spell, that enables them to hear from a distance. However this skill has its limits. Nosagie faced Akoni, "Do not leave this place. I'll be back." He instructed, his eyes glowed. 

He vanished to the centre of it, the brothers just raised the older one to his feet "Both of you, inside with me, now!" He said as the dust in the air from his dramatic entrance settled down. 

Akoni ran off the top of the tower, disobeying Nosagie's orders. He got to the ground floor, trying to find Berry or Nosagie, he searched through the halls but couldn't find either of them. 

"Akoni," Akoni heard his name from behind, it was Gaze. 

"Hey guys, what happened?"

A dark figure with glowing eyes held him up and stabbed his rib section with a shadow blade. Twisted and turned, then drew out forcefully and threw him far back.

NB This is my first time writing, so there are bound to be grammatical errors. Please bear with me and I'll try my best to reduce them to as little as possible.

An hour later, Lin Yun was already sitting in an open-top jeep. Purple Rose was constantly polishing a shiny dagger beside him.
"Mu Mu, do you like my darling?" Purple Rose flicked her dagger, making a buzzing sound.
One-eyed looked unhappy and said with a cold snort, "Kid, don't drag us down when the time comes. I don't have time to save you."
Lin Yun ignored One-eyed's provocation and glanced at the captain, who was wearing his headphones, closing his eyes, putting his palms together, and muttering to himself.
"That's the way he is. You don't have to be surprised." Drunkard, driving the car, turned back and whispered to Lin Yun.
After a long, bumpy ride, the jeep drove to a sand dune and came to a stop. The captain took off his headphones and slowly stepped out of the vehicle.
"If you go any further, you'll be out of Skynet range. Don't make any rash moves. Listen to the commands."
After he said that, he went forward.
Lin Yun carried many weapons and ammunition and slowly followed behind the squad.
"Since you are in charge of logistics, take these things. This way, the main combatants can save energy. Sometimes, a little detail can determine the success or failure of a battle," Drunkard explained to Lin Yun in a low voice, patting him lightly on the shoulder.
Lin Yun nodded his head and expressed his understanding. His body condition had reached Level 5, so these weapons and equipment were not difficult to carry.
Everyone walked quietly, gradually approaching the ambush site. The captain slowly raised his right hand and everyone stopped.
"One-eyed, scout the environment."
"Roger!"
One-eyed's electronic eye suddenly turned, emitting a red light which constantly scanned the nearby sand dune.
"Reporting, captain. No abnormality found. There are no signs of an ambush in this area."
The captain nodded and said in a deep voice, "Everyone, enter the ambush site, disguise yourself and set up your weapons."
Very soon, everyone set up their weapons into the sandy soil. They slowly lay down on the sandy soil and waited for the enemy to arrive.
Such a wait was long and boring. Lin Yun stared blankly at the empty sand dune, letting his imagination run wild to pass time. Suddenly, the sandy soil moved slightly and a small scorpion emerged from it, seemingly looking for food. Lin Yun slapped it down and flattened it. He flicked the scorpion's corpse to the front of the squad.
Bored, One-eyed looked at a sand dune in the distance and laughed softly. "Hehe, it's actually the Snow Wolf Squad that's working with us. Their captain Lone Wolf is still greeting me."
"Don't talk. They're coming." The captain instructed softly and everyone quieted down. Not long after, Lin Yun felt a slight tremor from the sand dune.
A fleet could already be faintly seen in the distance. Two sand dune tanks in front of it paved the way, while a few delivery trucks behind it slowly moved forward. The fleet was still far away, but Lin Yun could already feel the tension before the war.
Lin Yun's heart moved and triggered Stacking Art.
Sensory Elevation!
It actually triggered a tripled Sensory attribute.
The situation of the distant fleet was reflected in Lin Yun's eyes. He clearly saw the long laser muzzles of the sand dune tank and the demon soldiers with their hands on the steering wheel in the truck cabin.
All of a sudden, a strange sense of crisis arose in his heart. It seemed that there was a bloodthirsty beast slowly approaching him.
"What's going on? I now have elevated my Sensory and am reasonably safe from illusion. Where does this danger come from?"
Lin Yun looked around at the serious people around him with a face full of doubts.
"Mu Mu, you're all nervous the first time you go to war. You'll be fine when you get used to it." Looking at Lin Yun's tightly furrowed brow, Drunkard whispered to comfort him.
"Don't talk. The enemy is approaching," the captain said in a deep voice, his eyes staring at that fleet.
Strangely, Lin Yun couldn't feel anything unusual at all. Whether it was a visual, auditory, or spiritual exploration, he hadn't found anything unusual. However, the feeling of danger didn't disappear but instead grew stronger. It seemed that there was an invisible ghost rapidly approaching him.
"Is it really my imagination?"
The ten seconds of Sensory Elevation ended quickly, and Lin Yun could no longer sense that danger approaching. Instead, it made him even warier. Being unable to sense it was only because his sensory was not high enough!
"I've contacted the three squads. On the count of three, we'll open fire. Don't open fire in advance and expose the target," the captain said softly, glancing at Lin Yun.
"One!"
Lin Yun picked up the machine gun and looked around alertly.
"Two!"
Suddenly, Lin Yun's eyes narrowed. The scorpion corpse that had been flicked to the front of the squad had actually disappeared! He quickly pointed in the direction of the scorpion and triggered the machine gun in his hand.
"Da da da…"
What Lin Yun held in his hand was the worst firearm weapon, equipped with ordinary metal bullets. As he triggered the machine gun, strong gunshots rang out and countless bullets fell to his side.
"The worst fears have still happened. You brat is holding us back. You firing a second earlier will completely ruin our ambush!" One-eyed turned his head sharply, roaring loudly and angrily.
However, he realized that he wasn't getting a response from anyone. Thus, he turned his attention to the captain and asked in confusion, "Did I say something wrong?"
The captain's eyes carried a hint of astonishment, staring at the front of the squad. Following the captain's gaze, One-eyed turned around and was stunned.
A dead man was lying in front of everyone, only three meters away from them.
This man was wrapped in white clothes all over his body and with a strange helmet on his head. He was lying on the ground with blood dripping from his chest and eyes filled with horror. He also held a strangely shaped long gun. This long gun was just like a shortened fishing rod and had a barrel that was two meters long.
Without a doubt, this person was the one killed by Lin Yun.
"Could this be…"
Seeing this soldier that had strangely appeared, the captain's eyes suddenly narrowed and he shouted, "One-eyed, three o'clock direction! Purple Rose, twelve o'clock direction! Don't use energy bullets. Snipe the enemy with mechanical bullets!"
"Roger!"
They quickly brought up their sniper rifles but found that the ambush site of the ally squad in the distance had become a mess. Countless people were violently splattered with blood, dying in horror. It seemed that two completely invisible people were shooting at their allies. Soon, all the allies were dead. Two people also wearing white clothes with strange long guns showed up.
"Boom! Boom!"
One-eyed and Purple Rose fired almost simultaneously, and those two men were suddenly shot in the head.
"Captain, who are these people?" One-eyed wiped off his cold sweat with lingering fear.
"Demon ghost soldiers. Their special clothing can automatically match nearby light and Spiritual Exploration that no one but a Spiritual Master can detect. The special long guns in their hands can absorb energy weapon attacks and recoil in addition to normal attacks."
"Aren't they invincible?" Purple Rose asked.
"Their invisibility activation, as well as using the special function of their long gun, consumes Spirit Strength. Therefore, they can't remain invisible for long."
Hearing this, One-eyed looked at Lin Yun and asked in confusion, "How did you discover them, kid?"
Lin Yun smiled slightly. "I told you, I'm good at scouting."
"Yeah, right. Nobody will believe that." Upon seeing that Lin Yun did not say anything, One-eyed turned his head away disdainfully.
"So, it looks like we've probably been discovered by the fleet. Quickly take your weapons and evacuate!" The captain said hurriedly.
"This is bad! The sand dune tanks on the other side have aimed at us and are about to open fire!" One-eyed looked panicked and warned loudly.
"Open fire quickly and destroy their long-range firepower before they open fire!"
"It's too late! It's a laser cannon! Get down!"
"Drunkard, I'll have to pay you back in my next life…"
"Boom!"
An explosion covered all the sounds for a moment.
How fast were laser cannons? The speed of light was approximately equal to 3x108 m/s, and the speed of a laser cannon was only slightly lower than the speed of light. At this speed, even if an ordinary person was hit, they wouldn't be able to react immediately, let alone dodge.
Therefore, the only way to dodge the laser cannon was to take advantage of it before it fired. Once the laser cannon fired, the end would be already set.
There was no way that this laser cannon under smart lock could miss. The cannon shell directly hit the small sand dune where everyone was hiding.
The laser flashed, and everyone's expressions were frozen for a moment!
"Huh? I don't seem to be dead?" Drunkard touched his head, unable to believe it.
"Haha, I'm not dead!" One-eyed shouted happily.
"Thank Lin Yun. He has saved us again." Gambler's voice was heard all of a sudden.
Everyone scrambled to look at Lin Yun and saw that he was holding the ghost soldier's strange long gun in his hand with a pale face. It was obvious that using this weapon had severely depleted his Spirit Strength.
Lin Yun forced a smile and pointed his gun at the distant sand dune tank.
"Boom!"
A white light emitted from the long gun's muzzle, hitting the distant sand dune tank. Dust and flames flew everywhere, and the two huge tanks were blown up into the sky.
Purple Rose looked at the rising sand dune tank and muttered, "It's more violent than me."

A few days later I met with Arlie and told her to meet me at that same park. This time it was my turn to tell her about me.

We got to the park and sat in silence till Arlie spoke up.

"Hey... Mila. You know how we met that guy that knew you? He said something about you running away and how you hurt him. What did he mean by that? And whenever he mentioned... Shula was it? You'd tense up. Who was this Shula person?" She asked me.

Hmm... so she wants to know that part first... damn.

"Ah. Well, like you, I grew up without my parents too. My mother hated me, and my father was in prison. My mother would constantly beat me with her fist because I looked like my father. It's not like she wanted me anyway... I was the product of ****, the reason he was imprisoned in the first place. When I was ten, my mother sold me to a random person for $12. That's all that I worth to her... just $12. The person I was sold to was no better. They gave me to their son as a punching bag. If I swung back then I'd be kicked out. Then... like you in middle school, I hung out with the wrong crowd. We'd get into fights with other schools, beat up upperclassmen, and torment teachers. It's not like I'd fit in with normal kids anyway, they all knew my home situation and were told to stay away from me. By high school, I started to mess around with girls. I guess I needed to know what love was. Then one day, as I was walking with a girl, I met him. The guy you met earlier. His name is Dune. Now Dune was known for sleeping around and causing problems. For some reason though, we became best friends, or at least I thought so. Wherever we went, havoc was sure to follow. One day though, Dune saw me with that girl and apparently, she caught his attention. We were walking late at night, and I thought I'd see her home, we got there and she let me inside. We went to her room and Dune and a few of his friends were there. We both were shocked and confused as to how he got in, and in that confusion, they'd knocked me out and tied me up. When I woke up, Dune and his friends were raping her. All I could hear was her screaming 'MILA!! MILA PLEASE!! HELP!!' I got angry and got out of the rope they tied me up in. I beat them up but then realized that it was all a trick. She wasn't being raped at all, she invited them in. She never liked me, to begin with. She was Dune's girlfriend. They had another friend outside recording the whole thing. I was used for their enjoyment. But, what Dune said about me running away, happened not too long after that. Dune came to me and said he was sorry so I forgave him. I know, I was gullible. He offered to have a party for our being friends again so I went, only, at this party, I never expected that my mother would try to kill me. As of then, it's been years since I've seen my mother, I didn't even remember her face, but she remembered mine. She sent people, gangsters after me. They were disguised as Dune's friends and all had guns, there were a lot of casualties that night. I got shot in the leg and Dune, twice in the chest. Everyone else was dead. It... it was a homocide. The lights were still on so I saw how they all died, I thought it only happened in movies, but some people's limbs were blown off. I've never been so scared in my life. I laid there in a pool of blood when one of the gangsters that were leaving said 'she should've killed you rather than sold you'. I instantly knew that it was my mother... it was that woman that hired them to kill me. We somehow got to the hospital and I asked to be transferred to a different hospital so she couldn't find me. Dune thinks I ran away and brought those guys with me. His girlfriend hates me and wants to kill me too... so yeah. There's my past."

She sat there. Angry. I could tell she wanted to explode. She tried to keep her composure but couldn't.

"WHO SELLS SOMEONE FOR TWELVE DOLLARS!? WAIT... WHO EVEN SELLS SOMEONE!? THAT WOMAN NEEDS A BEAT DOWN! AND DUNE SHOULD BE HAPPY HE'S STILL ALIVE... And if that girl, Dune's girlfriend even tries to come near you... I'll rip her head off." She yelled.

"I... never thought that someone could've had a life similar, or worse than mine. We both have issues we need to work on, and if you let me, I want to help heal you of that mental stress, Mila. I would never trick you. I love you. If that's what you really need then I'll be sure to give you more than enough of it. If you trust me... then I'll trust you."

I... I didn't know what to do. There was never a woman I could completely trust in, well there was never really anyone I could completely trust in for that matter. I felt relief that I've never felt before. It felt amazing.

"Wow... Dune told me you'd be here, but I didn't believe him. I can't believe how lucky I am!" A woman said as she made her way towards us.

And just like that. The feeling of relief was gone.

"Mila. That's not all that happened, you're forgetting something... Something important... Remember? There was another girl you were close with. Come on, tell her the real reason you ran away. The real reason I hate you." She said as she grabbed me by my collar.

"My sister... is dead because of you... no, she was killed by you."

I stared at her, with a straight face. "I'm... not the one who killed her,-"

"ENOUGH WITH THE BULLSHIT! MY SISTER SHULA IS DEAD, AND YOU WERE THE LAST PERSON TO SEE HER ALIVE DAMN IT, DUNE SA...!" Her eyes widened and she covered her mouth. IT... WAS DUNE?! That makes sense now that I think about it, he never really liked or cared about Mila, and why would you kill your best friend? That wouldn't make any sense. So... that means... Dune wanted me to hate Mila and used... me... and... my sister. Naila tried to regain her composure. "Don't... Don't try to make excuses, I... I need somewhere to put this hate." She cried as she spoke. She realized I hadn't been the one to kill her sister. I mean, how could I? We were best friends.

"Wait... Dune said I killed her!? Shula and I were best friends... what reason would I have to do that?! It doesn't make sense... but. Hm, so it was Dune. I got it now. I wish I never met him." I said to her.

"Mila... I blamed you for everything and I'm sorry. The one that I hate now is Dune. It should've been him I hated from the beginning." She said as she stared into my eyes.

"Um... hold up! Don't you think you're moving too fast? You literally just hated him like a minute ago, and now you want him to forgive you? Wow... you... are the most fickle woman I've ever seen." Arlie remarked while getting defensive.

"First off. My name isn't you. It's Naila." She retorted. "Well...? Mila. Can we be friends again? Please?!" She asked me as sincerely as she could.

I see no problem with it. I don't mind. I thought. "Sure. Let's be friends Naila!" I said.

She cried again, said thank you, and left.

"Well... at least that's one thing taken care of. I don't think we'll get along though." Arlie said.

"Right. All that's left is to take care of Dune and find her sister's killer. Oh, and at least try to get along with her, please Arlie? She needs female friends, and you're perfect."

"Hm?! I'm what?" I'm perfect? I'm... perfect? "Um... could... could you repeat that? I... I don't think I heard right."

"Haha. I said... Arlie, you're perfect."

Arlie's face went from happy to down in an instant. "Mila... you, you said you met someone who knew me right?" She asked in a slightly nervous but serious tone.

"Yeah. I did." I replied.

She started breathing really heavily and grabbed my hand tightly. "They... they're coming after me again. I mean, it makes sense. I beat most of them up, but... how did they find me? How?!" She said as she hyperventilated.

"ARLIE!" I screamed.

"Calm down! I've got you. You're safe." I said as a reassurance.

She was still breathing kind of heavily. I held onto her tightly and spoke. "If they do come after you, we'll beat them together. You're not alone now, remember that." As I said that, she gradually calmed down. Finally back to normal, we walked to her house.

The next morning I went to pick her up for school. "Morning gorgeous! How's it hangin'?"

"It's good!!! Morning!! Let's head to school before we're late!" She said as she closed the door behind her. Hm. I wonder what today will bring! she thought as they walked to school.

"Oho? Would you look at that? Hi, Mila!!! I missed you, so I transferred here!" Naila said.

I SHOULD'VE NEVER THOUGHT THAT!!! Arlie thought. "W... WHY...! WHY IS SHE HERE?!? Wait... transfer?! D... did you transfer here just for Mila?!?!"

"Um... yeah! Why else would I transfer? Mila is all I need! Why? Did you think I transferred here for you?!"

"WHAT?!"

I saw Arlie making a fist and thinking of something to say in response, so I went behind her, covered her mouth, picked her up, and ran away. I can't say we didn't look weird.

"MMMF! MMF! MMMMMMMFFFF!" Arlie was trying to speak but to no avail.

As we ran, the danger that was Naila, followed. I was still covering her mouth while running when she bit me.

"Oww! You bit me?! Why'd you bite me?!"

"Oh, I'm sorry, did you want your girlfriend to die? AND WHY IS SHE CHASING US?" She said and asked. Well, since I'm over his shoulder now, I guess the only thing I could do is... THROW THINGS!!! TAKE THIS!!!

She dug in her bag and pulled out some pens and pencils. I'm gonna hurt you well today! She thought.

She threw a few pencils at Naila's face but she kept chasing.

"AGH!! YOU'RE LIKE A FRIGGIN' ZOMBIE! WHY WON'T YOU FALL?!"

I got tired and ended up falling, when I got up and looked at Naila, I saw a few pencils stuck in her hair, and a pen sticking out her forehead. I looked down and saw a path of writing utensils and other objects on the ground... honestly I didn't know what to think.

"I finally caught up to you!! Yay!! I was worried you'd get away."

THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT?! I thought as I kept staring at the pen stuck in her forehead.

"But on a serious note." She said as she pulled the pen out of her forehead. "I think Dune is planning something, and if you're planning on fighting against him... I want to help. I'll pay him back for everything he did to me... and my sister."

"You said 'on a serious note' but there's a rainbow of blood gushing from your forehead. How do I take you seriously while watching that?" Arlie said. I tried to hold in my laughter, but I couldn't. Arlie saw me struggling and decided to add oil to the flame.

"Not only were you a unicorn zombie but now you're--a-ah! A double bloody rainbow!" She said as she laughed. I laughed so hard that I couldn't breathe.

"Come on. I'll take you to the nurse's office." Naila and I were shocked that Arlie would even offer to take her anywhere for that matter.

"HEY! DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT!! I could be nice if I want to be!"

"Yeah. But we just never thought you'd want to be. It's cute seeing this side of you." I said, knowing how'd she react.

Her eyes widened from embarrassment. "Sh-shut up! Naila, we've got to get you to the nurse right? Come on! Let's go!"

She said as she dragged Naila with her.

When they were far enough away, I sat down and started to think. According to Naila, Dune is gonna start something soon. I don't know if I should confront him first, or wait it out. I do know though, that those two can't get hurt again. That absolutely can't happen. I don't know what I'd do if it did. Oh, but then there's mother too... what do I do about her? It feels like she knows where I am. I got lost in thought while contemplating how to deal with Mother and Dune. I didn't even realize that the girls had come back already.

"We're back!!!" Arlie said. I looked up to see someone I didn't recognize.

"Um... Arlie... who's that behind you?"

I said as I pointed.

"Huh? It's Naila stupid! How could you not recognize her?!"

HOW COULD I RECOGNIZE HER WITH HER FACE COVERED IN TOO MANY BANDAGES?! I thought. "O-oh. Okay then." Is all I could say.

I checked my phone and saw that it was almost time for class.

"Hey! Let's get going. The class is starting." Luckily, we were all in the art department. More specifically, Naila and I were in the animation field, while Arlie was in the acting field.

"Ok. Let's go! See you guys after class! And Naila... if you try to do anything to Mila... I'll give you a reason to have your face bandaged like that."

Wow... what an amazing woman, to say all that with a smile on her face. Well... least I know why her face is like that now.

I tried... I really did, but no matter how far I ran, the past always catches up... all I want is a normal college life. Is that too much to ask for?! How do you live peacefully when the past always haunts you? Arlie and Mila Have circumstances that one doesn't always come across, wanting to escape and live peacefully has never been harder for them. Especially when they both have different circumstances to get over.

"Niu Er...Niu Er?" The White Bone demon king was slightly surprised: "Are you the Niu Er who was at the South Pole Ice Palace?"
"I didn't expect that demon king that you have heard of the lowly me."
Miao Yi acted embarrassed, and then clasped his hands and said:
"I've heard that White Bone demon king is a benevolent and just person. We definitely didn't mean to offend you. Please be merciful and only give us a slap on the wrist."
He was really embarrassed. He didn't expect that while his original name had been obscured, his fake ones were very well-known. 'Niu Youde' was notorious in Constellation Sea, 'Yan Beihong' was famous after the Subjugation, and 'Niu Er' seemed to have a great reputation as well, even a random demon king knew of him. It's a bit exaggerated!
The White Bone demon king felt ashamed by the praise. 'Heavens, this is the first time I heard someone say that this father is a man of benevolence and justice."
'Fu Qing's token was not a thing that could be obtained casually. It has to be Fu Qing himself who gave the token, there's no other possibilities. "Lady Boss, if you continue, something bad might happen again. Do you still want to go back to the inn?"
"I was worried that something might happen to you when you fell, it seemed that I was worried for nothing. Niu Er, you have a lot of face! It's much more than this Lady Boss!" Resting her head on an arm, the Lady Boss smiled.
"In the end what happened back then, tell me honestly!"

After flying back to Flowing Cloud Dune Sea, they didn't directly return to the tavern but came to visit Huang Qingtian and Wu Duo, the two bigshots of Flowing Cloud Dune Sea.
In the Sand Palace, the Lady Boss was talking to Huang Qingtian in the hall. Miao Yi, who was waiting outside, noticed an old acquaintance. Ren Xuanming, who was expelled from the Chamber of Commerce of the Chen Domain, was directing some people to repair the earth wall.

Miao Yi did not forget about the trouble he encountered at Chen Domain capital city. Ren Xuanming was the culprit. Originally, Miao Yi followed him out of the capital with the intention to kill, but he was rescued. Unexpectedly, he came to Flowing Cloud Dune Sea and turned into a lackey of Huang Qingtian. It looked like he was doing pretty well.
Ren Xuanming seemed to have heard of the famous 'Niu Er' of the Tempest tavern. He showed an admiring expression when passing by Miao Yi.

But there was one thing which surprised Miao Yi the most: who was the 'great immortal' that taught Lao Bao this cultivation technique?
At this point, Miao Yi began to tackle the Red Lotus realm with all his strength. This was the realm that Miao Yi had always dreamed of. As long as he stepped into this realm, he would no longer be confined on the ground. He would be able to levitate in the air, which were the second among the four realms of art: Traversing, Levitation, Soaring the Heavens and Infinity. 
This exciting cultivation realm required more than 655000 orbs of will. Countless number of cultivators had spent their entire life to accumulate but couldn't obtain such an amount of cultivation resource. 
He couldn't care less about other cultivators. He only knew that it would take at most twenty years for him to break through to the Red Lotus realm with his current speed.
Even though he had yet to catch up to the abnormal cultivation progress of Yan Beihong, Miao Yi was still very satisfied. For cultivators, twenty years wasn't a big deal, the Red Lotus realm was already in sight…

T/N: Not much happening in this chapter, so I will do a little recap on the cultivation realms:
So far, the cultivation bases of people in the novel were described as X Lotus Y Grade, where X is a color, and Y is a number from First to Ninth. 
The color order from least to most powerful: White < Blue < Red < Purple < Golden < Iridescent.
The Lotus appears on the cultivator's forehead (or more precisely, in between their brows). Each Grade is represented by a bloom petal.
However, according to Lao Bai, the cultivation could also be divided into four realms of art (chapter 25):
First Art of Traversing (White Lotus + Blue Lotus): In the original, the name of this realm is 'zongheng', lit. 'vertical & horizontal', as in the 2 axes of a 2D graph, so the basic meaning of this is that cultivators in this realm are unleashed and can freely traverse anywhere on the ground.
Second Art of Levitation (Red Lotus + Purple Lotus): so basically it adds one more dimension, the cultivators in this realm can levitate and fly in the sky.
Third Art of Soaring the Heavens (Golden Lotus + Iridescent (multicolored) Lotus): They can get out of the planet and roam across the stars.
Fourth Art of Infinity (Transformed Lotus and Holy Manifestation): 
- Transformed Lotus: the lotus on the forehead will transform into a pattern, which is unique for each cultivator.
- Holy Manifestation: the pattern manifests into reality
There is actually another realm on top of these four, it's kind of a spoiler, or not. I will just mention the name: Divine Soul - literally immortal, as in cannot die, already stepped out of Samsara.

Nothing significant happened during the first week of their journey. Well, apart from the fact that they'd stopped wearing the glasses and Hadjar could now sort of look at the sandy expanses surrounding him. The white bandage around his face didn't allow him to see much. It covered his nose, mouth, and even went down under his caftan's collar.
The sandstorms had become more frequent, kicking up waves of dust. They couldn't harm a practitioner's strong body, but having to constantly cough wasn't exactly a prospect anyone relished.
The squad traveled in almost complete silence. Each of them was lost in their own thoughts. Only occasionally would Glen consult with Salif, and then they'd talk to Ramukhan, and then the unofficial, but obvious leader of the squad would either keep them going in the same direction or tell them where to turn.
The desert responded to their silence with its own. They saw hundreds of magnificent, huge dunes, and even small oases sometimes, ones that were no bigger than a village square. They encountered neither caravans nor Bedouins around them. That was because oases like these could succor a traveler with cold water and vegetation one day, and then another sand dune would appear in its place tomorrow. The desert was truly unpredictable. And so was Einen.
"By the Great Turtle, I already miss Underworld City," the islander sighed.
"Until recently, you were missing the desert."
Einen was riding ahead of him and so Hadjar didn't get to see his reaction, but he was sure that the islander rolled his eyes in response.
"A man always misses what he doesn't have at the moment," Einen answered and then fell silent.
The whole squad stayed silent until nightfall. Ramukhan and Glen consulted the map drawn by Salif. The boy was talking to Tilis about something. They had quickly found common ground. Judging by their sidelong glances, they were united by a common hatred for the same pair of people.
Karissa sunbathed. The witch, who had come up to the surface for the first time in her life, had almost stripped naked, wearing only a light loincloth made from a translucent fabric. Leaning against the hump of her camel, she reveled in the sunlight. Despite the merciless, scorching sun, her skin was only bronzed, tanning evenly and not burning at all. Surely, this was due to her closeness with the Fire Spirit or something like that.
At first, everyone had stared at her, even Ramukhan and Salif, but no one was paying her any attention now.
To Hadjar's and Einen's delight, since they felt like they would soon die of boredom, by the end of the eighth day, the squad reached the most dangerous region of the Sea of Sand. According to Salif, who'd lived long enough to be considered wise, this place was called the Demon's Heart. It was a very droll name, but it fit the area perfectly.
Hadjar, who'd already witnessed several wonders of nature, once again couldn't hold back his exclamation of surprise. They stood on the crest of a dune and looked ahead.
Behind them, the desert seemed to go on forever. The waves of dunes overflew around them. Bathed in the light of the stars and moon, they flickered slightly and created the illusion of mountains of treasure.
Ahead of them, the same types of dunes were visible, but they didn't shine or flicker. It was as if they'd completely absorbed what little light the night could provide, and as a result, they were pitch black. Lightning bolts flashed in the sky, unceasing. Red, like blood, they snaked around the sky, leaving behind an unpleasant smell of something getting singed, as if they were burning something in the sky.
"What a-"
The boy, who had been leaning down to pick up a bit of black sand, was stopped by Ramukhan's kick. The boy flew through the air from the force of the kick, even spinning a few times. A clear separation between the white and black sand served as an indicator of where the Sea of Sand ended and the Demon's Heart began.
"Do you want to die?" Ramukhan growled out, looming over the prone boy.
No one, not even Salif, was going to hold the head of the squad back.
 "No, I don't!" The boy gritted through clenched teeth.
"You almost left Salif without an assistant!" Ramukhan shouted. "Or do you think that we should be the ones to carry the old man's bag and help him relieve himself?"
The mention of his ignoble duties left the boy's cheeks red, not with shame, but with impotent anger.
"Ramukhan," Tilis jumped off her camel and went over to man. "I don't think he understands what you mean. And neither do the others."
She gave Hadjar a look full of contempt and anger.
"I'll provide a demonstration, then." Ramukhan pulled the boy's turban off and threw it toward the black sand.
As soon as the fabric crossed the invisible border separating the two areas, a red lightning bolt descended from the sky. It turned the turban into a handful of ash in less than a moment.

"The veil," Einen repeated.
Hadjar looked at his friend curiously. Einen shook his head.
Following the man's order, they set up camp. The boy, who, in addition to helping the old man, was their collective squire, cook, and fire tender, first made a fire, then began to cook. Even the common soldiers of the Moon Army would've refused to eat the porridge that he made, and they'd sometimes eaten cooked grass. The hunters had left the city almost empty-handed and therefore didn't have a lot of provisions.
When everyone settled down on their sleeping bags and started eating dinner, Hadjar whispered to Einen: "What do you know about these veils?"
The islander blew on his spoon, tried the porridge, grimaced, but still swallowed it. It's not like he had a choice.
"I only know that they aren't a natural occurrence."
"What do you mean?"
Einen glanced at his friend.
"I mean," he answered, "That someone conjures these veils, and they're usually meant to protect treasuries or secret libraries. To enter one, you must either understand the art of seals and break the veil, or have a key."
Hadjar looked at the top of the dune. Strong disturbances in the flows of the World River could be felt coming from there. Multicolored flashes were visible and Ramukhan's cursing could sometimes be heard as well. Apparently, their hacking wasn't producing the best results.
"Wait," it suddenly dawned on Hadjar. "In order to cover such a large area with a veil..."
"Exactly," Einen nodded. "I don't know who did it, but the veil encompasses a huge territory. And the fact that Ramukhan is getting through it..."
"Means that he has special artifacts," Hadjar nodded, "like everyone else who's already inside. It would hardly be possible to break through such a defense on your own."
"Well, that, or your cultivation would need to be at least one level higher than a Spirit Knight's," Einen confirmed.
For a while, they looked at the top of the dune together. For some reason, it seemed like they were being deceived.
Damned intrigues!
"What are you two chatting about?"
Tilis sat down between Einen and Hadjar. She was smiling, but her eyes were as sharp as daggers.
"Maybe you want to kill us all while we sleep?"
Tilis had a new theory about how Hadjar had killed Serra. She believed that her sister had foolishly trusted the northerner, who had then treacherously killed her in her sleep to steal her pass to Underworld City.
"Tilis," Hadjar sighed wearily, "I've already told you that I'm not responsible for your sister's death. I loved her like my own sister."
The witch jerked back and looked into Hadjar's eyes. Her green eyes flashed.
"Can you swear it on your blood?"
Hadjar remained silent.
"What? Can you swear it or not?"
She didn't notice she was crying. Everyone was quiet. All eyes were turned toward them. Tilis was still screaming, and Hadjar was staring blankly at the fire.
"Tilis!" Karissa rose to her feet sharply when Tilis' rod started burning with bright, white energy.
For a couple of seconds, the witches stared each other down, until Tilis got up and went back to her sleeping bag.
"That's what I thought," she muttered. "I swear, northerner, even if it's the last thing I do, I'll kill you one day."
Hadjar just kept looking into the fire. He hadn't been able to swear that he was a human once, and now he couldn't swear that he wasn't to blame for Serra's death. He didn't even believe it himself...
Looking at the fire, Hadjar remembered the day when the three of them had sat around and chatted about something. The next day, their final battle had awaited them.

"Point out a place that you think would be a hard target!" Naruto said.

("He is really serious about this competition it seems…") Kakashi thought as he got up.

("Hmm…") Kakashi searched for a particular spot while reaching into his pocket for a kunai.

"There!" Kakashi threw a kunai to a place which was behind a sand dune.

("ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?") Naruto glared at Kakashi…

("Don't give me that look, you asked for it!") Kakashi thought as he looked towards Naruto.

"Fine!" Naruto said as he started to spin his arm in a coutner-clockwise manner to build up the momentum.

Soon Naruto's shoulder was rotating his arm at the speed of a table fan.

Hah! Naruto sent his Rasengan into the sky, following which he placed his right hand horizontally over his eyebrows to see further.

(Whoosh!)

The Rasengan crossed the distance in a matter of seconds.

The Rasengan landed right over the kunai.

"I thought that you were going to judge the explosion itself…" Deidara argued.

"…" Kakashi stared at Deidara.

"I ask for a redo of the first round, this time no artistic impression on the ground…"

Soon the group returned back to where they had started…

A car bumped along a rocky road. It was a blue dune-buggy, scrapped here and there, in terrible shape, but it was a dune-buggy nonetheless that scattered dust to and fro. There was a young man in that transporter, a head of dirtied blonde hair, a soft grin across his face and a pair of brown goggles strapped to his eyes. He relaxed into the chair, and as a building came about in the horizon, he tapped the floating screen at his front a couple of times.
Soon, the motor vehicle bumped up to a domed structure that seemed to have been constructed entirely out of metal. There was a hole atop of it releasing smoke and the heat reached his skin even from outside. His vehicle pulled up to the place, parking amongst other scattered cars that looked like garbage trucks or motors in the same state as his dune buggy. Then, there was a beep.
Hopping down from his car, the man took off his pair of goggles, dusted himself and his blue jacket, then wore the black, leather, gloves strapped to his waist.
"Alright!" He said, 'Hopefully my luck is good this time, god let there be a Shattered Core at least.'
He had run dry on those things and he needed them, badly, to fix her.
He made his way to the building.
"Fee, please," A guard stretched out a hand with a smile, standing by a large, open door of iron.
"Can't let a loyal customer get a peek before paying?"
The guard laughed.
"No can do, you know this, even I have to make a living."
The man tsked, 'Everything is trash anyway, would it kill you if we didn't pay?' This was the result of living in the slums, well, this was a result of his failure.
Still, he tapped on his bracelet and brought up his Pad, he linked his with the Guard, a few taps later and he transferred a hundred Lixels to the man. 'I'll bleed dry at this rate.'
With that, the blue-dressed protector of a garbage dump allowed him inside, "Nice doing business with ya, Lux."
The first thing he saw was crowds of people piled up in a corner, rummaging through trash. At the center of the place, where a giant hole was filtering smoke into the air, he could see the orange hue of fire. Then to the right, he saw a space filled with corpses, no, the bodies of Homunculi. He only had maybe an hour or two to rummage through them before they would be cremated, so he moved fast.
Yet, not a second after he walked closer did his eyes draw upon a doll which everyone seemed to ignore.
It was dressed in a charred, black, clothing that had all but burned off, which he assumed was once a perfectly fine dress. Unlike the rest, however, there were no missing limbs, no shattered skulls, and above all. . .it was a beautiful girl.
"What's with that one? She looks in perfect condition!" He exclaimed as soon as he saw her body. Even when covered in dirt, it was clear she was perfect.
A few snickers followed his words and soon, one of the scavengers pitied him and peeked his head up from his rummage.
"But her Core is shattered, Lux. You know how hard it is to find a new Core for an Homunculus right? Or even just to fix it? Which Witch or Wizard is going to help you out? Those high-class rich folks won't lend a hand to us," The man scoffed, "This one here doesn't even have a marking! She's definitely a Noble Series, a pricy shit that just makes it ten times harder—wasted my bloody time thinking I could savage her, better get on with your day."
The man returned to his work, moving body parts and bodies here and there and looking and inspecting.
Lux, on the other hand, kept his mouth shut after that ordeal. 'This is my chance,' He thought. It was a real, perfect, N. Series Homunculus and he believed he had the ability to bring her back to life, even with his shoddy skills. 'It's just creating a new core isn't it?' He thought, how hard could it be, he might have failed the school but he still learned the art for 3 years, that was real. All he would need was some parts, his trashy but working Constructor, and a fitting Mana Orb, even a low grade one would do.
Anything was worth an Homunculus of that level.
He looked over the other broken dolls and decided they weren't of much use, anyhow, it was best he took this one and hop on out.
"I-I'll add her to my collection."
Under the curious eyes of everyone, he placed a wry smile on his lips and took her. It wasn't odd for Scavengers to make a collection of dolls, broken or otherwise.
A dune-buggy rolled next to a one/story house made of wood and iron scraps. The place looked like it would collapse at any moment, but Lux hopped quickly from his car, took the body from the back of the thing and quickly went to his door.
"Maria! Make me supper and keep it warm!" He announced as he entered the place, dragging the doll with him, "And don't come into the workshop less I tell you!"
He took a left turn from the kitchen-living room and closed the door behind him with a bang. The place he entered was littered with metallic items, two boxes were directly next to walls to his left, then, to his right was a desk and chair and a Constructor—a silver, rusting, box like thing that sat there with a hole in it.
He took the body and sat it upon the wooden desk, leaning it up and sitting down before it.
Then, he un-equipped his glove and focused. There was a silent hum and he could feel the invisible energy in the surroundings follow his command. Lines of mana, wiggling blue tendrils like that of an octopus's tentacles, soon appeared through his fingers.
He stared at the doll once more.
He could see it all. Everything from her conservative breasts to her thighs and her. . .it was all too stimulating and distracting.
"F*ck, I can't focus with this thing naked!" He cursed, recognizing that whichever Mage made this product was definitely a master craftsmen, leagues above him at the very least.
He stood up and scrambled amongst the clothes he had on hand, rummaging through a bin at the back of the workshop and quickly came back.
He fitted her, nothing much but a ruddy blue sweater that managed to reach all the way to the doll's thighs and, although her curves still showed, it blocked off the most distracting areas. He looked at her, a part of him wanted to taste her, but he decided that was better done with it working again—they might not be human but he didn't think of himself a Necrophiliac.
Renewed with concentration, the male summoned his Mana Strings again and controlled them till they attached to the chest of the product. A dull, blue light shined and soon, he was reading the signatures that had been left there.
He tilted his head.
'The hell? I thought at least a Master Mage made this thing but her barrier is too easy to crack,' He thought, oddly, but soon smiled at his luck.
A couple minutes passed by and his strings continued to vibrate within the air. The next moment and his face elated.
'There it is,' He thought, breathing out as he heard a low hum in his mind, "It hasn't fully shattered at least."
His mana strings latched around a blue orb in his mind and he quickly dragged it out as it seamlessly passed through the skin of the Homunculus, it's clothes, and floated out into the world.
He released his strings and looked at the thing. It was cracked here and there, like a glass ball that had been tapped with a hammer, shattered, and would definitely break down with one wrong move.
'Now. . .this should take me a couple months. . .' He thought.
However, a white light came from the object. The shattered Core broke away, falling into fragments upon the ground, but, revealing a smaller orb within that was still floating.
"My god!" Lux collapsed into his chair, heavy breaths flowing out and his eyes mesmerized.
'A Dual-Core system! It has to, has to, have been made by a Grandmaster at least!'
That type of system was as rare as a Phoenix's Core. F*ck, he thought, which idiot threw this in the trash!? Either way, all the luck was on him!
Yet, that wasn't all. Soon, his eyes almost fell from their sockets as the orb floated back into the doll. A murmur rang came from the product and he gasped.
Eyes blinked open, emerald irises scanned the room before turning to look at him.
'Jackpot! She's already Alive!'

After the barrier vanished, Tie Mu and company could clearly sense that Yi Yun had changed again. But they had no idea what about him was different.
For him to so easily kill Cang Gu, they believed that Yi Yun was a Royal Sealed Divine Lord at the very least.
A Royal Sealed Divine Lord would be an outer-sect steward in Taixia. This was a position above what Purple Succubus held.
Also, Yi Yun's age was a mystery. Songyue previously found Yi Yun young, but her realm was limited. It was not something she could deduce if Yi Yun wanted to hide his age and deliberately make others feel that he was a junior.
"How much do you usually obtain when mining for a year?" asked Yi Yun.

Upon hearing Yi Yun, Tie Mu smiled bitterly. "Xenomorphic ores aren't that easily obtained by the likes of us. Don't put weight on the restrictions placed on us. In fact, the upper management does not have any hopes of us finding xenomorphic ores. The ores are located in both hidden and dangerous places. "Thank you, Senior Yi," said Songyue with a bow.
Of course, Songyue had also guessed that the ores which Yi Yun had given her were not considered much to him.
Yi Yun did not make any unnecessary explanations regarding how they addressed him as senior. All he said was, "Follow me. I won't be able to escort you around all the time. I'll place you somewhere and, when the time comes, you will have to depend on yourself."
Yi Yun had his own agenda. Bringing them around was inconvenient for him, but he did not find it right to abandon them. After all, he had killed Cang Gu. Without Cang Gu, these people could hardly survive in the Xuanyuan Dune.
"Senior Yi, Cang Gu had a disk array that's specially used to seek Chaos Ores. We do not know them…" Songyue said wistfully.

The ore-seekers who could find xenomorphic ores were titled with Telluric Masters. They were people that all major factions would fight to rope in. Their standings were not lower than Crystal Refinement Masters!
"Is this it?" Yi Yun took out an unadorned disk array.
"Yes, that is Cang Gu's disk array." Songyue nodded when she saw it.
Yi Yun attempted using it. Usage of the disk array was not considered complicated, but it had an additional secure layer which required psyche powers to unlock. If Yi Yun tried, he could unlock it, but Yi Yun had no interest in it.
He crushed the disk array for he discovered that there was a mental imprint hidden inside the disk array. It was not Cang Gu's and was likely left behind by Taixia.
Taixia had left a backdoor in their disk arrays. Yi Yun was planning to stay in the Chaos Heavens for at least a year. He did not wish his location to be monitored by Taixia constantly through the disk array.
Upon seeing Yi Yun destroy the disk array, Songyue felt alarmed. She had the intention to stop him, but she was too late.
But upon second thought, Yi Yun had no way of using the disk array anyway.
The disk array was quite expensive; yet, he had destroyed it so easily. Having lost their means of seeking ores, Songyue could not help but turn disheartened.
"Follow me," said Yi Yun.
The worldly laws in the Xuanyuan Dune were abnormally potent. Warriors had their perception repressed and were unable to extend it out far. Furthermore, the terrain was very unique. Even with Yi Yun's potent perception, all he could do was penetrate a few hundred feet.
