      Sword Art Online came back to life...this time, no deaths or life costly decisions.

     When a casual player gets caught up in the fad and enters the games' tournament, The Swordsman's Festival, SAO starts making up the twenty years it hasn't been active for.

Kayaba Akihiko, the developer of the nerve gear and Sword Art Online. Renowned a genius creating the first full-dive system using a helmet that utilizes the players' 5 senses via the brain, due to this people could finally experience a full dive in the virtual world, experiencing it as if they were actually there.
Sword Art Online, the first full dive VRMMORPG to be released in the world, spread waves throughout the world making it one of the most desirable things to ever be created. Selling out instantly as soon as it was released online.
10,000 players were lucky enough and were given the chance to play the official version of Sword Art Online. But there were some even more lucky players before them.1,000 people were given a chance to receive the beta weeks before the official release of the game, using this to hype the game before its release. These players were later known as beta testers.

Takashi Ryu, a devilishly handsome young man being around 14 years old. Ryu had no troubles in school being both popular and smart. Hearing about the release of the new game he knew he had to get it, him being one of the lucky ones to receive a nerve gear as well as one to receive the popular game Sword Art Online through his father's connections. His father being an illustrious CEO, being one of the most admired and feared through the business world.
But due to this, he was left home alone with maids and butlers as far as he could remember, barely spending time with his father. Ryu would feel lonely due to this even with hundreds of workers in the huge house making it feel even lonelier. He played and talked with his mother to ease the absence of his busy father. All just for his light in the void to be gone. His mother began to feel ill when he turned 6 and later died. Ryu felt empty he could not believe his mother died just like that, he began to feel depressed and more isolated.
His father noticed this and would try to spend more time with him, but due to his hectic schedule could only do so much. He would often send extravagant and exotic gifts that would even make a business tycoon burn with envy.
But this did not help Ryu's feeling of isolation and begun to immerse himself in the playboy lifestyle, using his devilishly handsome looks and his experience with women made a deadly combo on women. Ryu later began to feel bored of this lifestyle, people only talking to him due to his looks, background, or even both. He wanted something genuine.
He later moved into games. He felt alive playing games, especially MMORPG's, not knowing who the other person on the screen was thrilling to him, not being able to know the other players' looks, background were key factors of his love with the genre.
Rumors began circling throughout the world of a new type of software being able to finally immerse themselves in a virtual world. When Ryu caught wind of this, he felt a rush of adrenaline and immediately asking his father for a nerve gear and the game Sword Art Online.
When receiving the game, he began to fall in love with the game immediately, spending countless hours engrossing himself in the game and escaping the real-life world. He felt happier and happier each coming day, looking forward to spending another all-nighter in the game.
He began to make friends in the game enjoying their company as they would have the time of their lives grinding their levels, exploring the towns, fighting raid bosses.
Due to them being close. They made a guild named "Blood's Oath" later being the game's top guild.

For Ryu today was one of the happiest days of his life as if the world agreed with him the sun gleamed upon him making him look like an angel, due to his looks and his smile that was plastered on his face. The onlookers (Maids) could not help but feel their hearts skip a beat, looking at his genuine smile that has not been seen in years was too fatal to the spectators.
The reason for Ryu's happiness?  The game's official release was today. Finally, after all this time waiting for the game, Ryu has finally got the game. Ryu used many of his connections from his previous playboy lifestyle ranging from them being high-ranking politicians or rich business tycoons trying to create a connection to his father. He finally got the game.
Immediately, plugging in his nerve gear for the hundredth time, he began to update the software of the game. Finally, seeing a green checkmark, he shouted out,
"LINK START!"
Upon entering, he made his new character and entered his name: Ryu.
It might be stupid using his real name, but he could not care, it was not like anyone was out to get him or something like in the real world, no it was just for pure fun.
Creating his character was easy enough, he made the character have simple short black hair, with having a height of 190.5 cm (6'3). He chose this height to match his real height in the real world to instantly get used to the movement in the game. He had a leather tunic and simple black pants. Overall, he gave off a normal appearance (Besides his height) contrasting his real-world appearance.
Continuing onwards, popups began to appear.

Ryu seeing this was confused looking at these popups but thought of it as it is upgrading his system for the official release since he was a beta tester. Not thinking any further he quickly clicked the yes button.

The Mark 1 Valaria Capsule was just Announced by Zero Games.
Valaria Online is a new type of gaming platform and is a more advanced version of its predecessor VR. Valaria online is a land of Magic and Demons set in the medieval times.

Our story begins with a Neet Named Alex.
Alex is a 20 year old With a painfull past, He is Borderline Insane but manages to keep himself calm around others but in games...

Alex has a less than normal personality in games, if he is given an option to do something good or bad he will chose the worst option available. if he is given the choice to kill or not to kill he will always chose to kill. 

One day Alex watched the Cool new Advertisment for the Valarian Capsule and sold his assets in order to buy the 1000$ capsule.

Our H-E-R-O Alex is ready to play and is now completely broke, how will our psychotic friend do.

A young adult named Alex who had a Horrific past and is slightly Psychotic finds joy in a new Full dive virtual reality game called Valarian  online.

Chen Mo releasing Diablo and Don't Starve one after another caused a decent reaction in the videogame community, although not one as big as the copying craze from mobile card games.
This was expected as the main characteristics of the game were really unique and hard to replicate.
Diablo did allow industry professionals to realise the market gap in satisfying hack and slash games, but how to fill that gap was a very difficult question.
If they followed Diablo and made a third person game with a dark art style, setting aside if they were capable of spending money to reach the quality of Diablo, even if they did, would the players buy a game that was such a blatant Diablo copy?
Therefore, the only way out was to make a similar VR game, which was exactly what Emperor Dynasty Entertainment was doing.
But for the other companies? There was too much risk involved with making VR games. Moreover, many changes had to be made to it, so companies who could take such a big risk were few and far between.
Don't Starve was also a similar unreplicatable game in the eyes of many video game designers.
Because nobody understood how it managed to sell this many copies.
Story? Art style? Music and audio effects?
Items? Playstyle? Sandbox mode?
One thing's for sure, this was a relatively successful sandbox game. This was because of its excellent quality and rich playstyle which replicates the physiological needs of humans, which triggers a desire to create in players.
But how could one create a sandbox game similar to Don't Starve?
Nobody knows.
Sandbox games may seem nice to make, but they are actually incredibly difficult to develop. The successful sandbox games always seem easy to recreate during analysis, just that they didn't think of it.
Therefore, although the reviews were good for Diablo and Don't Starve, it didn't create a copying craze like mobile card games did.
Moreover, as Diablo looked better and better, it also gained more and more haters.
"There are players complaining about how Diablo sucks in the later stages on the official forums again."
"Yeah, I saw that coming. I've tried the game out too, it felt great at the start, but it became incredibly monotonous at the later stages of the game. If it wasn't for the desire to grind for equipment, I doubt many would continue playing."

Yan Zhenyuan was also playing Diablo.
He had a clear idea of the controls of this game so far. The high quality story and cinematics and the thoughtful detailed creepy atmosphere was just the packaging. The real core of the game is hacking and slashing and the balancing of the game.
Of course, the packaging of the game was so good the players felt like they got more than they paid for.
In reality, the later stages of Diablo completely depended on numerical simulation.
At the same time the players continue grinding, they are getting better equipment, increasing their strength, and moving to the next difficulties. Meaning the balancing of the game becomes the main driving force for players to continue playing.
This may seem like a model that worked at first glance, but so far Diablo didn't seem to be able to achieve this.
Yan Zhenyuan was also thinking about how to solve this problem as he was making a VR version of Diablo which was on PC. The profits of the game would be dramatically impacted if the players were sick of it after a month or two.
As VR games required much more financially than PC games, they could only wish they'd lose a bit less money if they sold the game by copies. The thought of making money like that was a fool's dream.
"I need to think of something soon."
Yan Zhenyuan's project was now in its first steps as all parts of development were moving along steadily, but he'd have to quickly think of something to ensure the longevity of the game.
It was almost November, and according to the roadplan, it should be in its test phase the coming June, and be released the coming August.
"Whatever, I'll move with the online game idea for now, have as much socialization and trading in the game as possible. Then I'll need to drag out the playtime and slow down how quickly new players level up.
Yan Zhenyuan decided that since the problem was really difficult to solve, he may as well take a page out of the book of online games and retain players through various online activities.


Chen Mo liked calling himself a video game designer, despite being a mere video game producer.
After dying one day from work-related stress, he transmigrated into a parallel world as himself, right after he graduated. He was now in the body of his younger self, who also aspired to be a video game designer.

My first class is programming, and, at first, I genuinely enjoyed it, but back then everyone was equally good at it and barely learning it. It was a fun skill, I was trying to learn. Slowly, and Slowly people slowly started improving, while I remained at a standstill. That standstill is infuriating, because, despite my best effort. I just couldn't reach the heights other people seemed to grasp so easily. It was frustrating when everyone kept improving at a rate, I couldn't keep up with and I was left stranded and behind, but as soon as I caught up, they were already farther than me.



Writing I did online and tried to keep a consistent schedule. I figured since I was good at reading, that, I might be equally good at writing. Reading may help improve your writing, but they are fundamentally different skills. I remember this one person telling a story they wrote, and I can't even remember their name, just the story they wrote. The pressure was on since childhood as it had always been their talent. The frustration of writing comes from not having any pressure, placed on me as they don't expect anything.


My art I don't post online, and it's because I'm not confident in it and why would I be confident in it. I find it laughable. I always enjoyed making people laugh, whether it was at me or something else. This time I don't want them to laugh at me. Art is a skill I'm constantly surrounded by, and seeing people who've been doing it all their lives. I can't expect anything, but for them to be better than me. The frustration of art comes from my impatience as I never feel,  I'm improving. 


I also needed to learn how to make music to put in games, but I am already surrounded by people with intense passion. The Programming, the Writing, and The Art, I don't think I can handle more passion than, that. The frustration of music comes from not even trying, because of my other experiences. I don't want to try something new. If I know I'll just be broken down again, because of how inferior, I am.

Join A young boy who's not confident is his endeavors to become a video game designer. He doesn't feel the pressure and that's what makes it all the more worse. He's surrounded by talent, will he break or continue to be broken and broken over again to get to his goal.
