Undertale, adalah sebuah game bergenre VRMMORPG yang sangat di gemari para gamers. Seorang pemain peringkat tinggi menerima kontrak dari developer game tersebut untuk membuat demonstrasi dari fungsi baru yang akan di luncurkan oleh developer game.

Sebagai pemimpin Guild Top Circle, Andika memiliki kewajiban untuk memimpin anggotanya untuk melaksanakan kontrak yang telah dia setujui dengan developer game.

Pada awalnya, semuanya berjalan dengan sempurna tanpa hambatan yang signifikan. Namun sebuah insiden yang tidak terduga terjadi ketika Andika akan menerima hadiah dari misi tersebut. Andika secara tiba-tiba dipindahkan ke dunia lain seorang diri, tanpa teman-temannya yang mengikutinya.

rose spent  3 days continously working day and night which made her exausted she was so exausted that she could not even think properly her were swollen because of the overwork and her head constantly pains 
"uh !its time to go office again!" said rose while leaving the store 
"i just cant even walk properly!! i am having delusions uh! but whatever i wont loose hope!"

rose sitting on her cabin completing the files and writing an article simultaneously suddenly the manager enters 
"sir you here ?"
"miss rose did you completed those files which mr ryan gave you?" 
"yeah i am going there to submit it to him!"
rose stood up and went to ryans cabin
as rose was about to knock ryan noticed her
"yes miss rose! enter no need to knock!"
rose was surprised by ryans reaction
rose proceeded to walk towards ryans and handled him the files
ryan turned the pages of files and was impressed
"woah! you literally completed all of them i wasnt expecting this! .....i am doubting that whether only you completed this or there was someone!"...
"no sir ! i completed this all by myself!" ("why is he acting like a teacher? who is suspicious of her students homework?")
"good! then take these files too!"
"what?? again ?"
"yeah! since you have completed it early!"
"uh !!" rose sighed "ok sir"
rose proceeded to walk out ryan said
"working in balka store and online article job and selling ice hmmmm seems interesting!"
"what ?" rose was shocked
"how did you know that were you spying on me?"
"thats not the point the point is you think you can repay me? by working on part time jobs that too for only 1 week and do you think they will give you salary in advance!!"
"that is none of your business mr ryan!"
"that is my business after all you are my employee!"
"but that does not mean you will spy on me boss!"
"oh come on! miss rose it would be better if you accept my offer cause working 1 week hard without sleep is obviously tough!"
"i dont need your suggestion mr ryan!"
"okay do what you want but remember if you couldn't repay i am waiting for you!!"
rose was digusted by ryans statement but she couldnt do anything better she proceeded to walk out of the room  .
("he is such an asshole weird guy but those things he said are true indeed... but i cant help i am already working hard!")

"u!h my eyes are hurting real bad but i cant do anything!!" 
rose notices a guy who was continuosly visiting the store since she joined
("isnt he the same guy again now i am suspicious of him why would he daily visit the store !")
as rose was noticing him her eyes met with that guy she felt something wrong with that guy.
("he is weird as he searching something whatever i cant say anything until he does any thing wrong!")
as rose completed writing her article that guy stood in front of rose and gave her the things 
as she calculated the amount that guy was creepily starring at her rose was hella nervous by that stare she didn't knew what to do she gave him the things with receipt as fast as possible the guy paid her the amount and then left then rose took a deep breath of relief ...
("woah! that guy was weird i didnt even know what he could have done to me the way he was starring made me so uncomfortable! seems like i have to be alert from now on by the way i have doubt on him i feel like is ryan is spying on me through him!! ...or i think i am over thinking now whatever i am very sleepy i guess i worked here for 4 days i guess i will ask the owner for salary in advance i dont even know whether will he give me or not .....but i should ask cause the week is coming to end and i havent collected any money guess i have to face ryan again! uh!")

As everyone was discussing her superb power Kia Didn't felt anything about she just ignore them and directly spoke.
"If you dare to trouble me again I promise the consequence will be worth than a humiliation. Take you sidekick and get lost. You are not capable to even touch me." At this time Mila and others also came and seeing the crowd they curiously went to check it but this scene shocked them. Kia coldly faces her and warned her.
These words are the exactly that bitch had told her one year ago now it's her turn to pay back to her.
Then Mila (the ex-bestie) and her group left after Kia left her. Cara was fuming in anger, just how she becomes so powerful suddenly; she was a weakling than her. So she just assumes that it was maybe because of her distraction she can do that. She wasn't willing to admit that she was wrong. But who cares anyway. With Mila, the people with Clair and Mila also move away from there. They don't to interfere in this.
As she was fighting, those who wanted to have a try on her, were now scared and don't dare to annoy Kia. KIA and Lilly then happily ate their lunch and went to class, since they are in same class no they naturally sat together. After canteen incident no one dares to block their path now.
The class started after this small break now she doesn't get the looks like lust but still got the unhappy looks and envious looks.
Beautiful girls always get attention no one can deny that.

.. Head teacher came and announced that there's going to be a monthly test at the end of this week. Everyone was too exhausted and didn't want to give exams but what to do there's nothing they can do for KIA, it's doesn't matter because she is already ahead in her studies there's no problems in giving small tests.
After she splits up with her friend Lilly after school. She got back to her Apartment.
Now she was thinking how to make money. She Search online for job and fortunately she got many, she saw a job for graph designing, editor, and others computer related things. She got many jobs and she was thinking about collection of money than eating honey.
She was already planning to involve in business so she doesn't had any problems with the article writing and translator job because she needed to know and for promotion of her company that she must be someone who has knowledge. After accepting jobs, she kept her phone aside and as class was going on. Soon she got notified of the acceptance in many things and jobs. Such as translate, editing and proofreading as well as article, as she was Searching for local permanent job too she got to know that a restaurant was hunting for part timers fortunately she got that chance to earn money too.
. And after freshen up she started doing her work she accepted. It wasn't her first time so it's easy to do the jobs. Her classes end at 2, she take 30 Min to clean herself up and arrange everything.
At 8 pm she completed her work and send back the work through email soon, she got the feedback and money in her account. She has accepted 5 to 8 jobs so she got total amount of 50,000 Rupees, although it's not much but it's sufficient, then she open another bank account she transferred 10,000 in that account, she has planned on trading and purchase some shares of low prices of big companies.
She again accepted many jobs. But she will do that work again tomorrow. After she study some for monthly test and soon she started feeling hungry she has ramen in her kitchen, so she had cooked them and eat them for mid-night snacks.
After completing her task of the day she retired to bed. Next day when she got up and she went for running. As she was running, a thief was running towards her. She just run towards him and suddenly she catch his hand and fold it hard punch his face multiple times resulting in the swelling of his face and broken nose.
The lady was thankful that someone helps her get her things. She came closer unable to catch her breath.
After she catch her breath. She thanked the Kia.
"Thanks, thank you so much "lady sincerely thanked her
"It's nothing" Kia said airily. She wasn't being arrogant and she just calmly replied.
"This Miss, may I know you name??" The lady asked normally.
"My name is ki Ara" she replied casually.
"Oh hello my name is Ella Jackson."
"Hello"
"You did a great help, this purse was having all the important things if it got stolen, I don't know what will do then. This is my card, if you need any help in future, please find me. I live in this area also."Ella thanked her and give her contact but kia doesn't change her phone because she can't give anyone her phone just like that.

Kia was speechless she doesn't know what to say. So she just exchange the name card with her but when she got to see the name card she was surprised, she's an owner of professional investment firm .Kia was thinking does by getting a hit her luck also got a changed, she felt like laughing on herself. She may be the only one who was feeling lucky after getting hit.
Lady was in hurry so she just said goodbye, continue with her work.
After running and training her for 1 hour she goes back to her apartment and fresh her up and get ready for school.
After coming to school she got on canteen for soy milk and bread. Today no one commented on her and day went by peacefully.
But a rumor started spreading that Kia is breaking apart the couple. Well she started laughing at such stupid people.

Her hands hovered over the keyboard as she typed out the latest headline for the brand she was representing. Having represented tech companies and e-commerce sites online, Jiang Yue Yan was familiar with what would look best and result in the sale of more products. The new launch had stressed her out, with constant calls from the tech company and various reporters asking for invites to the conference. She had been previously told that only influential and limited reporters from renowned brands would be called in, so it was on her to reject the offers and ask for different methods she could promote the brand in different news outlets. As a PR manager, her job was highly stressful and it tested her nerves at every moment.
It had been six years since she had driven out her parents and the acute stress from that time had made her resilient to other pressure. She had finished her degree in English, gone on to do her masters in mass communication and specialized in public relations. She had not been the best of students, but she was passionate about what she wanted to do. While others ran behind the sum of money, she wanted to represent others and become the bridge of communication between the people and companies. It was a dream that had evolved over a long time. She had jumped jobs, her paycheck getting bigger, the pressure building further until she was in this part of the company, a team manager and spokesperson.
"Yue Yan, did you call the Times and fix an appointment with them?" her immediate boss, the director of public relations, Lu Wei Wei, asked from behind her. Her hands paused over the keyboard and she turned back to look at the source of the question.
As a twenty-five-year-old, she had been happy to work under the, then, thirty-eight-year-old manager. A newbie in the company wanted to please the woman she looked up to. And as they both got promoted and Jiang Yue Yan got Lu Wei Wei's position and she, in turn, advanced further, their relations became stronger.
"I called them. They want the headline prepared and sent for approval," she said calmly, giving a small smile. She had about ten minutes left to write the article and she still needed a couple more points to be added.
"Are you writing it?" Wei Wei asked. The other nodded and was about to go back to her work when she continued speaking. "Make the interns do such work. You are above these things."
Truly, she was not above writing articles for companies, it was one of her jobs to provide the media with accurate news that would look flattering for such high-profile clients. She couldn't let a random intern do the work and butcher the hard work she had put into the release.
"It's fine," she said, hoping her superior would let her off the hook. And this time the boss did move away, albeit with a frown on her face.
Her boss had been acting weirdly since she had come back from her maternity leave. It was a problematic situation for Yue Yan because she was the one with the most power after this woman and she had gotten the brunt of her anger.

ISTANBUL, TURKEY
Mitch and Rupert reached Istanbul 3 hours ago and arrived at the place they were to stay at. It was a two-bedroom apartment, which Stansfield said, they would be staying at and of course the rent was paid by The United States Government (Perks of government jobs).
Mitch was sitting at the study table and planning out his next move. Rupert saw this and decided to join in.
"So what are we going to do?" Rupert excitedly asked
Mitch looked up and realized that he had momentarily forgotten he had a partner whom he was suppose to be working this case with. He decided that if he wants to work alone then he has to get Rupert off his back.
"Look you don't have to do this if you don't want to, I'm perfectly fine working on my own. Stansfield doesn't have to know" said Mitch with a polite tone
Rupert understood his intentions and said "Rapp, I'm a CIA agent. It is my job to help you with this case. I know you don't want anyone working with you but I'm already here so you might as well let me in on this plan"
Mitch sighed "You're not going to give up are you"
"Nope, think of it as this way, you're Sherlock Holmes and I'm Doctor Watson and we are solving an important case together" replied a grinning Rupert
Mitch frowned and said "As long as you never call us Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson ever again, you can help me"
Rupert sheepishly scratched the back of his neck and nodded
ISTANBUL POLICE DEPARTMENT
Mitch and Rupert were standing outside Istanbul Police Department posing as two magazine journalists
Mitch asked Rupert "So you remember the plan?"
"Yeah every single word"
"Good, now follow my lead"
Mitch and Rupert walked inside the building and were greeted by one of the detectives
"Hello gentlemen! What can I do for you?" asked the detective with a deep Turkish accent
"Hi, my name is Asher Williams and this is my colleague Ryan Moore. We are journalists from the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)."
Mitch showed his and Rupert's fake badges and continued explaining
"We are writing an article about how every country has its own way of solving crimes using science. What kind of technology do the Forensic use, their methods and techniques. We've made stops in quiet a lot of places gathering information and our last stop is Turkey. For this article we would like to meet your Forensic Scientist who can help us getting what we need to finish our job" Mitch explained confidently
Rupert next to him seemed a little nervous because after all this guy is a detective and if he caught them lying, they could be in so much trouble before the mission even started
The detective however did not show any signs of suspicion as he studied their badges and the file which Mitch presented to him about their supposedly science gathering and information.
Few seconds later the detective spoke up "Well Mr. Williams and Mr. Moore, our CSI, Mr.Asad Shaikh is currently not here. He is out investigating a case, we are not really sure when he will be back but you can wait here if you want"
Mitch and Rupert politely agreed to wait at the waiting area. Great now how long was this guy going to take.
After three hours, 5 cups of coffee and 2 snacks later there was still no sign of Shaikh. Mitch was about to get up and talk to the detective until he saw a girl come in the building. She went straight inside the building with a few greetings from one of the fellow detectives. Mitch instantly recognized her as the girl from Shaikh's files.
She was Aayat Sadik
Mitch furiously shook awake Rupert who was about to doze off
"What what did he come? Is he here" Rupert asked hastily turning his head right and left
"No not him but his intern, she came in look over there" Mitch replied
Rupert looked at the girl who Mitch was referring to.
Soon Shaikh walked in the building and went straight to his office. His presence caused both the agents to stand up and follow him.
They were stopped by the same detective they encountered 3 hours earlier, but Mitch didn't have time to deal with him
"The CSI is back, can we talk to him?" Mitch asked impatiently
The detective saw Shaikh and nodded letting both agents go
They reached his office and noticed Aayat over there as well. Shaikh was getting ready to leave.
Mitch knocked on the door and heard a "Come in" sound. Both he and Rupert entered his office.
Mitch put his façade on and explained "Mr. Shaikh it is so nice meeting you. I'm Asher Williams and this is my colleague Ryan Moore. We are journalists from the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). We are writing an article about the different ways and techniques Forensic Scientists from different countries use to investigate and solve their cases..." Mitch trailed off but noticed that Shaikh wasn't even really paying attention to him and was in quiet a hurry to leave the building.
Shaikh finally gave Mitch and Rupert his attention and said "Look gentlemen, I really don't have time for all this. I have some place to be" and as Rupert was about to say something, Shaikh left the room.
Rupert followed behind him to convince him somehow to let them interview him.
Mitch sighed and was interrupted by a voice that caused him to turn around
"Don't mind him, he is always in a hurry" spoke up Aayat
Mitch now turned his full attention to the girl in front of him and now that she was so up close, he observed her. She was around 5"3, she had a fair complexion, long dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. He had to admit she was really pretty.
Mitch realized she said something so he quickly answered "Yeah well if me and my colleague don't get anything, we will be fired"
Aayat simply nodded and gave an apologetic smile before going back to her work.
He then remembered that she was his intern, which means she knew quiet a lot about him. She could give him some information about Shaikh like what he does, where he goes, who he meets stuff like that.
"Hey are you his intern?" Mitch asked, knowing the answer.
Aayat looked up at him and replied "Yeah"
"So you must know about the science behind forensics right?"
"Well I don't want to brag but yeah I do" Aayat said jokingly
Mitch faked a smiled at that before asking "So since your boss doesn't seem to want to help me, can you help me with my article?"
Aayat looked up at him and thought for a while. Mitch hoped that she doesn't buzz him off like Shaikh did and would actually give him some intel which would help him in the investigation.
Aayat finally spoke up and said "Well right now I'm kind of busy with work and I also have some afternoon classes to attend. How about you meet me at my university campus this evening and we can discuss"
Well something was better than nothing so Mitch agreed "Yeah sure"
Aayat wrote down her number on a piece of paper and handed it to him.
Mitch said thanks and turned to leave but was stopped by Aayat.
"Mr. Williams, wouldn't you want to know the name of the girl who is going to help you with your article and save you from getting fired by your boss" asked Aayat with a teasing tone in her voice
Crap, she didn't know that he already knew her name. He turned around and scratched the back of his neck, pretending to be nervous and asked "of course, how could I be so stupid? How can I leave this room without knowing the name of the girl who just gave me her number" Mitch said quiet smoothly with a smirk.
Aayat blushed and gave a small laugh which automatically made Mitch smirk again.
"My name is Aayat Sadik" she said with a smile
"Well Aayat, I look forward to meeting you this evening" Mitch said before he left the office.

"If I ever see you again, I will kill you"

"I don't know, I have nowhere else to go, I was alone, so what else but to join you," said Gary.
            When they entered the office, their manager Diana (Harper's girlfriend) was happy to see them.
"Good and you come in, those who are absent I will terminate them all!"
Diana said.
"We do not believe in such things Ma'am," said Kate.
"Besides, the said news will occur on Friday, but why did they absent now?" Gary said.
            "Some of them went to their home town, so that they could be with their families, others did not want to go out anymore because of fear." Diana said as she shook her head.
"They're crazy fools!" Said Kate.
"I'm worried tomorrow, maybe no one will come in, what about this company? We have a lot to deal with!" Diana sighed as she headed to her office room.
And an employee Levi approached her.
"Ma'am Diana, I'm so sorry but I will go home now, and I will not going here tomorrow,"
"What? You the only one that I know that won't leave me?"
"Isn't Ma'am your own boyfriend the one who spread the news in the newspaper?" Levi nodded.
"Yes, but we have different opinions," Diana explained.
"I'm leaving Ma'am sorry I want to be with my family, I will pick up my mother at the train station today," her assistant Levi said.
"All right, leave and don't blame me if you get fired." Diana said, and Levi left.
Diana read Harper's article again.
"Oh Harper you are destroying your own career!" She sighed.
Then she called him on the cell phone.
"Hello?"
"Harper where are you?"
"I'm here in the office."
"What is happening to you Harper, what are you doing? People are already in a commotion, even here in the office only a few employees came in, how about this?" Diana said.
            "Diana, trust me ok, do not come to the office tomorrow, let's meet tonight and we should not separate," '
"Stop this nonsense Harper! Did you know that in just a few hours, this company lost a lot of money, we have no sales, our sales depend on me, I don't want to be demoted or I might be fired,"
"I have to do this so that many can survive!"
"You are crazy Harper, that's not true, if the good psychic who predicted a few times is not true you still can, you have no knowledge?"             
"I'm not a psychic, faith healer or fortune teller ok, it just happened that I found out and I'm already involved, I knew it would happen, so I beg you not to go to work on Friday and come with me tonight,"
"No I can't, I'm sorry Harper!" And Diana turned off her cellphone, she thought that her career mattered most. 
"Hello? Diana Hello? .... shit!" Disappointed Harper said.
He tried to call Diana again but it turned off the cell phone.
            Harper is writing another article based on what he read in the notebook.
Paul arrives.
"What are you writing about?" He asked with thie eyebrows furrowed.
"I will write the posible things that will happen in the day of darkness," Harper said.
"You know what will happen?"
"Not really, but the priest who told me gave me some idea, its all written her in the notebook," Harper said as he showed the notebook to him.
"You and that priest will be in a very big trouble after this!" Paul scoffed.
"But the people need to know what is going to happen!"
"You know Harper, you are the most famous journalist in North America, you don't need to do this, you are just ruining your own career!" As his eyes widened and he continued. "Do you think I'm happy because our newspaper were sold out? 2 days in a row in North America, morning and afternoon news. We are so famous, we have reached all over the world because in your most widely circulated news, but the question is, what will happen after this?" 
"I'm not doing this to be more famous Sir, I'm doing this for the sake of people!" Harper deeply said.

            "If all this is not true, how will you explain everything? Even the President was thinking twice if he is going to make holiday on Friday or not, but its good that he took it over to the mayors. Daily Chronicle is the most famous newspaper in North America, but if this is not true, in an instant everything will disappear, and you Harper will be responsible for it." Paul sharply said.
"I'll take the responsibility of all this!" Harper deeply said.
"And why you have strength of what you said to the media people who interviewed you and you said 'Kill me? My Gosh Harper! You put the company to shame!" Paul furiously said.
"Well if its true?"
           "And you want it to be real to say that you're right, huh? Is that what you want to happen?" Paul eagerly said.
"No its not!" Harper replied.
"Go ahead write what ever you want, your career will end!"
"I don't want this to happen, but people need to know this so they can be ready and I also remind them to pray so that it does not happen."
"What a good tactics huh, after you scare the world, that's what you say so that when it doesn't happen you remind them? You're great! I'm done talking to you Harper. Good day!"
And he left, but he turned around again and said.
            "You don't have a conscience, people get upset, panic and get hurt because of what you did, and many will lose their jobs and students will fail because of your nonsense news!" Paul added and he turned away feeling stressed.
"You have to be careful Sir Paul! Do the rule!" Harper called out but Paul ignored him.
Harper shook his head and felt sorry for Paul.
He called Jack.
"Jack, please publish my article in the afternoon newspaper, and the second one is tomorrow morning, and remember you have to get home before 3 pm tomorrow, you must be home,"
"I will try," Jack said.
"Please everybody in this company, I don't care about Sir Paul, lives matter, I beg you!"
"Okay, I will tell them, its up to them if they believe," said Jack in the other line.
"Well for me I've done my part, and its now up to you!" Harper said and hung up the phone.

Walking up to the desk Oz tapped the bell a couple times before waiting. After a few moments of waiting, a woman appeared, a woman that Oz recognised.
'Nymphadora Tonks... She was here at the ministry now wasn't she... At this point in time she should still be learning under Moody. I guess she also gets given jobs like these when there's nothing for her to do...'.
Tonks swayed over to the desk before looking at Oz up and down. She froze for a moment when looking at Oz's purple eyes before smiling.
"Are you the one that rung the bell? You can't mess around here you know, this is the Animagus registration desk. I don't think I've ever heard or seen an Animagus as young as you...".

And now I get to do an Animagus test for that same descendant? This should be interesting!".
Looking at Tonks, Oz chuckled to himself.

To achieve a respectable degree in these areas, the novel will typically need to be at least 1.5 million words or longer.

Of course, from a professional standpoint, a story written for the sake of practice doesn't really need to have that many words in it. That's because in theory, an author who's capable of finishing a 500,000-word long novel has already learned the foundational writing skills necessary. As long as such an author has a complete outline for their story, writing two or three million words will no longer be so difficult.

The second goal is to be able to write approximately five thousand words every day. Simply speaking, you must be able to write quickly.

This is because there's a huge number of webnovels out there, giving you immense competition. One chapter might have an average of around 2500 words. At the very minimum, they should at least be longer than 1500 words. This is why, for a webnovel author to become successful, their writing speed must be at minimum three to five thousand words per day. When calculating this by months, this means that you need to write at least 45,000 to 75,000 words per month. This is the most basic requirement.

Those are all the prerequisite conditions for newcomer authors to develop into starter level webnovel authors. At this level, the quality of your writing isn't that important. Nor is the popularity of your novel important, either. Being able to write a long novel and write quickly are the two main goals that you as a newcomer author should strive for.

Something that should be noted is that at this level, you should pay more attention to improving your own ability, rather than worrying about your story. There are no tests for you, nor are there any grades. By the time you're in the middle of the story, if you notice that you're having an easy time writing and can easily write five thousand words per day, in addition to having a clear outline for your entire novel, then congratulations. This means that you're now a starter level webnovel author.

2: Choose an appropriate genre and topic.

With the development of webnovels, there's so many genres out there already – eastern fantasy, high fantasy, martial arts, xianxia, modern, mystical, historical, military, gaming, competitions, science fiction, fan fiction…

All these genres have their own specialties, and have different popularity factors and important things to keep in mind when writing. Also, they all have different degrees of difficulty when writing them. Still, what needs to be noted is that these different genres will have varying degrees of difficulty for different authors.

Perhaps one author will find it incredibly painful to write historical fiction, while writing a mystical story is fun and relaxing for him. Meanwhile, another author might find it incredibly easy to write historical fiction, while writing a modern day novel feels all sorts of awkward for her.

Obviously, for authors that are total beginners, you should choose the easiest type of story to write for you. But, what if you don't even know what genre you should be starting out in?

Allow me to recommend a few easy genres for newcomer authors.

1: Fan fiction

Fan fiction refers to using an already existing story's characters and setting as the basis to create new stories. This is a type of story modification.

For example, you could write a story and call it "Harry Potter and His Adventures". This story could be about how Harry Potter ended up with Hermione, or how he has multiple girlfriends. This is an example of a fan fiction about Harry Potter.

What needs to be noted is that in the large majority of situations, fan fiction authors don't actually have the copyright to their own stories. Even if you wrote every single word of your fan fiction novel by yourself, you still have zero right to use your novel for any commercial purposes.

But, even so, fan fiction is still one of the best choices for total beginner authors. The reason is that they are quite simple to write.

When writing fan fiction, you don't need to think about a complicated world background or any detailed settings. Nor do you need to create a large amount of characters. Even the fan fiction's story can be inspired from the original novel. All these things, especially creating the setting and characters, are what newcomers typically have the most trouble with.

Basically, writing fan fiction will greatly simplify the writing process, directly avoiding the most difficult part of all. Without a doubt, this is the easiest way for newcomer authors to get started.

As for what story to base your fan fiction on, it first needs to be a story that you as an author have already read and are familiar with. Also, it's best if it's a story you truly love, perhaps even reading it several times over. This is the basic requirement for writing fan fiction.

On top of all that, I would recommend choosing to write fan fiction about a story whose copyright has already expired, such as "Romeo and Juliet" or "Don Quixote" and so on. Or, it would be best if you could somehow obtain permission directly from the author of the work that you intend to write fan fiction about.

Of course, even if you have no way to contact the author or obtain their permission, it's still fine to write fan fiction. This just means that you can only write for free, without earning any profits, and also respect the original author of the work. After all, for newcomer level authors like you, learning and improving your writing is the most important part. Since your novels are unlikely to be commercially viable at this stage, it's not all that important even if you write a fan fiction novel that you're not allowed to profit from.

2. Modern novels

This genre refers to novels that take place in a modern day urban setting. The city background is typically where the author has lived and is familiar with.

Compared with fan fiction, modern novels have the added difficulty of having to create your own characters. Still, it does decrease the amount of trouble you have to go to in creating a setting. Not only that, when writing character introductions, you can save a lot of effort in having to explain a lot of common knowledge, such as what a character's job entails, or their social status. Saving all this effort is quite precious for newcomers.

And compared to fan fiction, modern novels have their own advantages as well. That is to say, the author can more easily write themselves into the main character, making the storyline easier to think about. Normally speaking, all you need to do is to give the main character a special cheat, or a unique advantage, and the rest will flow as naturally as water.

For example, there's a very popular modern novel with a reincarnated main character. The protagonist has only a very simple cheat—being reincarnated to several years in the past. This is quite an easy scenario for newcomer authors to insert themselves into. Just think about it, if you can reincarnate back to the past with all your memories intact, what will you do?

Most authors can probably imagine it. If you return to several years in the past with knowledge of the future, there's just far too many ways of earning money. Even if you have zero business skills, can't remember a single stock market pick, and don't remember who won the World Cup of Soccer, at the very absolute minimum, shouldn't you know something like what company you should invest in?

Apart from earning money, don't you, the author, have any other regrets as well? For example, do you regret not treating your parents better while they were still alive? Do you regret choosing the wrong major in college? Are you embarrassed at your awkward attempts to get a boyfriend/girlfriend?

And so on, and so forth. Why are you afraid of not being able to think of plots for your storyline and making it longer?

As for the specific details, those are quite easy as well. For example, if you intended to sell off everything you owned back in the day and take out a huge loan to invest in one specific company, what would your parents say, and how would they react? How would all your other friends and relatives react as well? Who would you try to borrow money from, and how would they respond? What's the specific process of investing in a company, and what procedures are necessary? What if the company you invest in temporarily loses value after you invest in it? Would your parents complain at you and tell you to retract your investment? And how will people react after the company you invested in suddenly does super well and you make a huge profit? And, what will you do with the money…

Just this one storyline arc about investing in a company has plenty of content to write about even simply by following the natural process of how people would act. And if you use that as the foundation and intentionally write some conflicts, such as how the protagonist discovered that his friend who he wanted to borrow money from is actually investing in a different company, how he pretended to have a casual attitude when opening up an investment account made the investment company female employee misunderstand him to be someone really rich, or how people scoffed at him after investing in a company and he made a bet…

Wouldn't you agree that all these related events can add plenty of content to your story? Not only that, it shouldn't be all that difficult even for a newcomer author to write such a story arc.

Even if you're one of the few who feel like you lack imaginative prowess, and you don't have the confidence to create interesting scenarios and conflicts, well, there's still one more advantage of writing a modern story—you can borrow ideas from plenty of sources.

The most direct sources of all would be television dramas, especially those set in the current day. This should be easy to understand.

Apart from television shows and movies, there's also hot topics in society, the news, or local gossip and family conflicts… These are sources that are easy to overlook or maybe often considered boring. But actually, it's quite common to make some modifications and write them into your own novel and borrow from such sources.

This is why, from a certain standpoint, modern novels are the easiest novels for newcomers to begin with and to write a long story about.

3. Imitations

Imitation type novels aren't a particular genre, but they can belong to any genre. While this may seem rather contradictory, it actually means that a newcomer author could try selecting one of his or her own favorite and most familiar novels and imitate it. This isn't limited by genre.

Imitation could be shallow, or it could be a close imitation as well.

To give a theoretical example, perhaps the original story has a main character named Zhang San, who's the son of the sect leader of Green Castle. Your imitation novel could try having a main character named Li Si, who's the son of the sect leader of the Wudang Sect. The original story had Zhang San falling off a cliff and miraculously surviving while also obtaining a book containing a miraculous cultivation technique. After he successfully powered up, Zhang San was sent by his father to go undercover in the Demon Sect, where he fell in love with the Demon Sect leader's daughter. Your story could try having Li Si being ambushed while cultivating and becoming seriously injured, but miraculously having a great breakthrough in cultivation due to overlapping coincidences. Afterwards, Li Si went undercover in the Demon Sect in an effort to investigate who ambushed him, and fell in love with the Demon Sect leader's granddaughter…

This type of imitation requires even less creative effort from the author compared to fan fiction. From a certain standpoint, this is really cutting it close to becoming plagiarism. Yet, it's still undeniable that this is a usable method for newcomer authors to improve their own skills.

But, please note that this type of writing style is only suitable for practicing your writing. If your story is too much of an imitation, it'll be impossible to even make it public. That's because unlike fan fiction, even if you don't use it for commercial purposes, you've still plagiarized and violated the original author's copyright. It might even spoil certain plots from the original story and affect its sales and popularity.

That's why this type of learning via imitation, in principle, isn't really one of the better ways to learn. More accurately speaking, this is the final way to learn available to total beginner authors that have failed at attempting all other self-training methods.

In normal circumstances, after half a month to a month of imitation practice, the author should have some more insight into writing. The author can learn how to design storylines and write descriptions. At such a time, the author can stop trying to imitate and begin developing a completely original novel on their own.
