Three black werecat orphan brothers are trying their best to find a home when they are finally adopted. Everything goes great with their new family until tragedy strikes and they are left with an unexpected guardian.

This story is about an average high school boy with an average lifestyle who likes to read novels especially fantasy ones and was transferred to another world along with his classmates from his school.

As they were transferred our protagonist, John Kaiser, was the sole student among his classmates who were left behind, leaving him all alone in their classroom.

As he was wondering what happened to the others, he remembered one of the novels he had read. It was a story of a fantasy world, where a king of a human kingdom summons heroes from another world to save their world from the demon king, a typical Isekai (Another World)  fantasy novel.

Our protagonist, John Kaiser, started to contemplate and question 'why?' why was he the only one not summoned?

And as his questions go crazy, a light emerges from the place where he was sitting.

Is this the start of our protagonist's fantasy adventure as a hero? Or will he live the same life again as an average person even in another world?

Chapter 3 

 

 Once located in the director's large office, the Admiral went straight to the point. 

 “You will be surprised but although we have not seen each other before I have references from you that have caught my attention. What we are going to discuss in this meeting is strictly secret and at the moment you cannot tell it to your boss or to Director Clark.” 

He paused to make sure he had been understood and then continued. 

“Tell me, in your opinion, what it is the most relevant of this and the other cases.” 

 Lakshmi answered without hesitation. 

 “The word Alamut.” 

 “Okay, and what does it suggest to you?” 

 “The fortress of the sect of the assassins in the Middle Ages in the Asia Crescent.” 

 “All right. Is it just a historical reference?” 

 Lakshmi felt a little uncomfortable answering this question. 

 “No… it was a sect of Islam with a strong esoteric content.” 

 Donnelly smiled and pulled out a narrow file from his attaché. 

 “This is the information I have gathered about you.” 

 He opened the file and began to read aloud to himself. 

 “Let's see. Lakshmi Nania Dhawan, born in Bombay, today Mumbay, India, of parents belonging to high castes, attended high school in London and then her family emigrated to the United States, settled in New York City and once here she completed her studies in Law and entered the FBI twelve years ago and since then has had an outstanding record ... her evaluators insist with her natural intelligence and loyalty ... married to the Icelandic anthropologist Ingo Ragnarsson, she had her only daughter Anila with him, how old is the girl now ...?” 

 “Seven years.” Lakshmi completed. 

 "Seven years." The Admiral repeated. "But a couple of years later she divorced her husband and has not remarried.” 

 The old man continued reading in silence, until finally he closed the file and added. 

 “But what interests me most is not d in this file.” 

 “What do you mean?” 

 “I mean your connection to the Bluthund Community.” 

 Hearing this unexpected phrase, Lakshmi jumped in her chair. She immediately understood that she couldn't pretend and say that she didn't know what the old Admiral was talking about, so she decided to face the situation. 

 “ Admiral, I'm surprised you even know the term. Let me ask you what you know about Bluthund.” 

 “ Little, and I hope that you can enlighten me about it.” 

 Lakshmi reflected on the fact that she was speaking to a man who, despite his somewhat fuzzy duties, was his superior and therefore could not ignore his request. She sat in another position in the chair, cleared her voice, and began an impromptu explanation. 

 “Bluthund, word that means bloodhound in German, is an informal group that was created a decade and a half ago and has been consolidated over time through joint participation -although generally in virtual form- of its members. The number of these has been growing due to strict word of mouth communication. At present, it brings together researchers who use "alternative" methods to solve their cases.” 

 The Admiral pondered this answer and asked. 

 “What alternative methods? What cases are involved? How do you select the topic you are going to focus on?” 

 “Those are several different questions. We are going to deal with them one by one. Cases can be historical or current police events, events that normally have strong roots in the past and even in the remote past, in short, intriguing and inexplicable events and generally referring to all kinds of bizarre issues.” 

 “Alternative methods? 

 “It refers to the use of methods not based on the positive sciences, but rather on traditional knowledge, in arcana of different cultures.” 

 “Arcana? 

 “Secret, hidden things, with a halo of mystery.” 

 “Can you give me some examples, please? 

 “I am going to mention some recent ones that involved various researchers, to give you an overview of the techniques and knowledge used.” 

 The young woman coughed in order to clear her throat and continued. 

 “A case was solved using the opinions of the I Ching, the thousand-year-old Chinese book of wisdom, which recommends courses of action in the different circumstances that are consulted to it by scholars.” 

 “I know the book. Based on random facts such as throwing Chinese coins with Yin and Yang on their faces or throwing yarrow stalks leads to different hexagrams giving the book opinions or advice.” 

 "Another case was based on reading ancient texts from Scandinavian runes." Lakshmi continued. 

 “ I also know the subject. In the Futhark or Nordic alphabet each sign has a very precise esoteric value.” Donnelly replied. 

 “Whose knowledge suggests courses of action for the seasoned reader.” 

 The woman thought for a moment. 

 “There have also been historical cases that were revealed appealing to the knowledge of Nazi esotericism.” 

 “A body of complex and absurd beliefs but that had immense influence in circles very close to Adolf Hitler in his time of heyday.” The old man completed. “Well, all this confirms the reason why the two of us are meeting at this moment, and without witnesses.” 

 “I am really anxious to know what interest the State Department has in the Bluthund group.” Said the woman. 

 Donnelly decided it was time to open up his game and get on the subject. 

 “You have to know that it is not the State Department that is formally interested but that it is a collateral branch -not an official one- that is in my charge. Due to the similarities between the cases that the CIA representative listed at the meeting in the Situation Room, we have the provisional conclusion that there is not a plot, but a series of coordinated actions carried out by a new or reappeared group, with inexplicable ends. The key is the appearance of the word Alamut in all cases, and we think that it cannot be accidental, but we believe that it is an action of… let's call it of disclosure, even of advertising.” 

 “Please explain yourself.” 

 “Some group is trying to announce “here we are” or “we have now returned”. This may be for commercial purposes.” 

 “Commercial?” 

 “Publicity for the sale of a service: murder.” 

 The woman looked somewhat puzzled and stammered. 

 "Admiral, exactly what do you expect of me?" 

 “ That you study the cases in Bluthund and contact me to act in an informal, loose association that will give you independence of action. You will never be acting publicly for the account and order of the United States government.” 

 The meeting ended soon after, but not before Donnelly asked Lakshmi for an oath of confidentiality. 

 As it was late, the woman went to her apartment to have a shower and dine alone. While she was traveling in his car Lakshmi was ruminating on her next steps, which were personally painful. To resume contact with the Bluthund Community, she had to remove the ashes of his recent past and speak first with someone who had been an important part of it. 

 When she got to her apartment, Lakshmi took off her heavy coat and shoes, threw herself on the bed, trying to contain some tears and calm her breathing. When she thought she was in control of herself, the woman picked up her phone and looked for a number in the directory. When she dialed someone answered at the third ring of the bell. 

 “Hello, Jack, I'm Lakshmi.” 



A strange series of ritual murders in various parts of the world alarms the United States government because of its destabilizing potential in hot areas of the world. Bluthund investigators travel to the ruins of the mysterious Castle of Alamut, located in present-day Iran. There they find with amazement that the sect is still active and must confront the fearsome assassins who guard their sacred site.

Huo Yunshen was in charge of Yunhai Entertainment, but he also owned half the shares of Juxing Entertainment. He had recommended these two companies because he wanted to sign her under his own name and manage everything for her.
Huo Yunshen believed in giving the person he loved the best life possible.
Xu Xiyan quickly shook her head. "No, thank you for your kind offer. For the time being, I don't want to enter Yunhai or Juxing."
"Why?"
Huo Yunshen was puzzled. There were many actors who were trying everything they could to enter Yunhai or Juxing, and they still didn't have a chance.
And yet, she didn't want this rare opportunity...?
The fact was, Xu Xiyan's father was a film director working under Yunhai, her sister a star actress with Juxing, and her brother-in-law, Chu Yuhe, the president of Juxing.

For the time being, Xu Xiyan had no way of explaining her family situation with regards to Juxing to Huo Yunshen. She could only politely decline his kindness.
"..." Huo Yunshen was surprised that she was so ambitious. It was clear that she possessed a lot of easily accessible resources, and yet she chose to find another way.
She was really a special woman, and he had been right about her.
Since she didn't want to join Yunhai or Juxing, Huo Yunshen had another plan to keep her.
"I know of another company. It's an alternative and independent company in the entertainment industry. Although they're not famous, the company is well-connected. They're gaining traction within the industry. If you are interested, I can introduce you to them."
"Is it owned by one of your friends, too?" Xu Xiyan asked suspiciously.
Huo Yunshen had grown familiar with her temper. He knew that she didn't want to have anything to do with his overbearing support. "Well the truth is, he is my friend, but he's also my competitor."
Xu Xiyan became interested when she heard that it was an independent and alternative company run by Huo Yunshen's competitor.
"What company is it?"
"Jingyue Entertainment."
She hadn't heard of it. So it was really a new company.
There was a "Jing" word in the name, and it sounded like her mother's name.
Jingyue, Jing Ru Yue...
Somehow Xu Xiyan felt a connection to it.
"Sounds good. Where are they located?"
"When are you free? I'll take you there!"
Xu Xiyan thought about her schedule. Only tomorrow was free. "How about tomorrow? Do you have time then?"
"Yes, I should have some time."
For Xu Xiyan, he would always make time.
"That settles it then." Xu Xiyan stood up, tugging on the hem of her pajamas. "I should go back. Could you get the driver to send me home?"
Huo Yunshen raised his wrist and looked at his watch. It was nearly midnight.
"It's already 12 o'clock. If you go back now, you'll have to trouble your friend to open the door for you. Why don't you call her up and tell her you're not coming back? I have a lot of rooms, and you can stay here for the time being. When morning comes, we can go to Jingyue Entertainment together."
What a persuasive argument to get her to stay!


"He is the entertainment king who is in charge of everything. Been single for years, he had zero scandal. One day, a woman and a girl turned his life upside down. 
The little cutie held him tight, not letting go. ""Handsome uncle, you look very much like the daddy I have lost for many years!"" Huo Yunshen felt depressed. “Me? Daddy?!” 
The little cutie proudly pulled her mommy over, ""Mommy, I have found a long-term meal ticket for you, handsome and gullible."" 
Xu Xiyan smiled at the elegant man. 
Recalling the accident five years ago, his face sank. ""How dare you steal my DNA?"" 
She laughed. ""Not steal, just borrow!"" The man took her in his arms and warned in a dangerous tone, ""Woman, should I get what’s mine back, with interest?"" 
She stood on her toes. ""Yeah, how about another baby?"""


  I stopped my writings and I went towards Frans's voice. I went to the kitchen. She prepared a quick breakfast and we ate it. It was delicious. I missed her cooking. She was always a great cook, just like my mom. I could not have wished for a better wife. We put on some clothes and I put on some shoes for walking. They were not old and destroyed. She bought me a new pair when we got together again.

-"I  missed you so much Fran, you know that right?" –I said while gazing at her eyes.

She smiled and said that we need to get going or we would be late. We started walking throughout the neighborhood. Everyone was still there.

-"Look Fran, there is Travis." –we waved together.

-"Hello, neighbor." –Travis replied.

-"Where is the beagle?" –I asked.

-"What beagle?" –he asked.

Fran pulled my arm and wanted me to pretend like nothing ever happened… I forgot for a minute that something has changed. We continued our walk. Hour past and we were standing in front of the building that was not familiar to me. It was an orphanage. Yesterday she said that she would like to adopt a child with me and that she is ready to become a mother. I was not sure about that decision because we could have children and we could have made one. She said that she wanted to give one child a better life and that we would also make children too. She wants a full house of babies. We went inside the building and the receptionist was waiting for us. We said hello and he immediately said that we need to follow him. We went upstairs. While walking on the steps I noticed that it was a building well build. I noticed that the walls were made of brick and that they were freshly painted. Above, on the ceiling was a portrait of sort of a God looking after them. That face looked so familiar. I pointed above to the ceiling and Fran also looked.

-"Isn't this face familiar to you?" –I asked her.

She was pretending that I did not ask her that. I wondered what was going on in her head right now. When we got upstairs we went into one roomful of children. They were playing and running around the whole room. Screams of children were dancing through the room. I could not bare those screams mixed with laughter. Fran and I just went through a hard time together. Is this really what we need right now? She started playing with them like she was their sister. She jumped on the floor to her knees and started hugging children and asking for their names. One particular little girl was standing in the corner alone, with the fluffy toy in her hand. That fluffy toy was a form of an animal. It is the parrot with emerald color wings. I felt a connection to her and went to ask for her name. She was shy. She did not want to speak. One nun came to the room. She was dressed like any other nun except she did not have her cross around her neck.

-"Good day everybody." –the nun has spoken. –"Come on children, gather along." –she continued. –"Now, then, this sweet couple is ready to take one of you with them to the new home. They are filled with love and there in that home, many toys await for you and one good life I can tell. Now, be nice, and introduce yourself."

We were hearing some stories from those children, but I could not take my eye off that girl in the corner. She reminds me of someone and I wanted to hear her story and her introduction. She was the last one. We heard such stories that I would not even bother to listen. They are were harsh and heavy for me to handle. If I could I would adopt every single child in this room just to make sure that they would never have to go through a rough time again. I looked at Fran and pointed to the girl in the corner. Fran stunned and she immediately asked the nun if we could talk to that girl. We went towards her and the girl has become more shy than usual.

-"Come on, introduce yourself." –said the nun.

She was about four-years-old and she was pretty shy. She did not want to talk because she thought that if she says a word she would be punished. That is the story of her. While living with her real parents they would make her go to the corner and be quiet the whole time because her father needed silence. I felt sorry for her. Fran asked for her name.

-"What is your name, sweetie?" –Fran asked with her delightful voice.

-"Fana." –she said.

Immediately we were pulled out of the room by some force and we were standing in the hallway alone. There is no sight of the nun nor the receptionist. We could not hear the children's laughter nor screams. Fran and I were shocked that this has happened and that the girl's name was Fana.

The portrait above the ceiling started talking.

-"Do you like your future?" –said the portrait.

I looked directly in its eyes. It was an old man with a beard white as snow. Looked like God. We were so confused. Suddenly the ceiling started falling apart and it fell straight at us. I came to my senses and woken up. I opened my eyes and Tabul was in front of me, standing where he was last standing where he changed his form. What is the meaning of this? I did not know what is reality and what is not. Tabul started laughing. He had that demonic voice now. He looked like the devil himself.

-"Did you really think that everything that has happened is just your story?" –he asked. –"And what a beautiful turn of events. You want a child. To adopt." –he continued.

That was all a dream? I dreamt about us being at home and being happy and wanting to move forward. I did not realize that was a dream. It was real, real as I breathe right now. Is that the power of Tabul.

-"Everything that I say I say for a reason, and everything that I say maybe your way our." –he started. –"I am empty as a shell and I could live in each of your path you chose. As you have seen, I lived in a path where you and your precious little Fran were about to adopt the baby. You can not escape me. I am everywhere and I know everything." –he said and started laughing again with his demonic voice.

My whole body hurt like it has been crushed with a car crusher. What is this feeling?

-"You could have gone home if you had killed your Fran. Also, you could have let your Fran go home if you have let me kill you, and you could have gone home if you had caught that book that I threw to you. Every possibility." –Tabul said.

I was still confused.

-"You did not take any of the things that I gave you. That means you are not that eager to go home. You still have unfinished businesses here." –Tabul started.

-"Yes, unfinished business of destroying you." –I said with courage.

Even though my body was hurting me I still have found something inside of me that gave me the strength to stand up to him. He laughed hard like he meant that I could not ever even touch him, not to mention destroy him.

-"I defeated your son Fero, and I will defeat you too." –I said. –"Tell me is there a possibility of doing that, any kind of alternative future?" –I asked.

-"None. In every single alternative future, I defeat you. Neither one exist in you that can defeat me." –he said.

I know what I needed to do. I needed to write my own alternative future but this time with a great end. To have this power of Fero means that I can write any destiny that I want. This place is an advantage for me. There is a lot of paper that I could write onto. But, how was I supposed to write when I can't even grab some time to catch my breath. I wondered if Fran would have woken up to help me. Maybe she could distract him while I write our story. This would be the story of Evan Jones. My own one. While I was standing there all hurting I was looking towards the Fran to check if she is still asleep. She is.   She barely moves from time to time. She is having one beautiful dream. I bet. Was she dreaming of me?

-"Shall we go to another alternative future?" –Tabul asked.

I stood up from my laptop and went towards Fran's voice. She was in the kitchen. She prepared a quick breakfast and we ate it. It was delicious. I missed her cooking. She was always a great cook, just like my mom. I could not have wished for a better wife. We put on some clothes and I put on some shoes for walking. They were not old and destroyed. She bought me a new pair when we got together again.

-"I  love you so much Fran, you know that right?" –I said while gazing at her eyes.

Next thing we know we were at the crossroads in our town. It was crowded. I never have ever seen this many people walking around. They are all in a rush. Where are they rushing to? I looked at the sky and it was beautiful. Blue with lots of white and light blues. There is no sign of rain. There are no clouds. It is at four o'clock. Maybe they finished their work and they are rushing home to their wives and husbands. I bet that is so. I held Fran's hand. We were waiting to cross the street. Greenlight needed to come on. We started talking.

-"How are you today, I did not ask?" –I said that I wanted to make it as an apology. I always like to ask how is she feeling.

-"I feel lucky. I really hope that we earn some money today." –she said.

Yes, I was feeling lucky too. We need to earn some cash so we could pay our deeds. I have lots of them. Fran came to the idea that we should go and try to win some money in the casino. I thought that it is not a good idea and that we were more likely to lose money than to win it. When is this green light going to turn itself on? She lost her concentration for the moment. She was going to cross the street on the red light thinking it was green. Next thing you know I was just holding Fran's arm. It fell and it hit my knee. Where is her body? I heard some screams and I heard breaks. The truck has hit her. She is gone. She is dead. The truck driver went out and rushed towards her body. He started laughing. I look at his face and it was so familiar to me. Where do I know him.? He looked at me directly in my eyes.

-"Do you like your future?" –said the truck driver.

It was an old man with a beard white as snow. I am so confused. Next thing I felt a hard pressure in my head. I closed my eyes and when I opened it again I saw Tabul again dying of laughter.

-"Do you like that alternative future?" –he asked me.

It was so real. What is this? How will I overcome him and defeat him? I instantly started searching for Fran. There she was, still sleeping like a sleeping beauty.

-"There is more where that came from." –said Tabul.

And again we were stuck in an infinite loop. I did not know if he wanted to show how powerful he is and what is the purpose of this. They were many options, many possibilities that we went through together and I did not like neither one of them. I always end up, either losing my own life or losing Frans's life. Or both. Who knew what could happen because I did not realize while I was in that future that it is just a dream. I was jumping through one alternative future to another and I could not realize what is the truth anymore. It was a hard play. In the moments of my consciousness, I was looking for the solution, but I could not find any. My every alternative future began with me sitting on my laptop. Is that the clue. Could I try to write something on it? I let him another alternative future for him to show me.

I stood up from my laptop but had a really good urge to finish one paragraph before I went towards Frans's voice. It went something like this:

"I hope that I exit this alive. Please, let "The homecoming" book fix itself and let it be real again. I think that is one of our way out. I will try with this one first before I even try to hurt Tabul. I think this must be the best way. I hope Fran will wake up and help me with it."

I did not understand a word that I have written.

 Fran was in the kitchen. She prepared a quick breakfast and we ate it. It was delicious. I missed her cooking. She was always a great cook, just like my mom. They tested his power and they were right. During one heavy night, Evan meets Tremor in the dark room with molded brick walls. Tremor was a guardian of another world and he appeared to him so he could help him unleash his power. He explained to him that he had been given the power of destiny which was the power of his creator. The psychotherapist becomes greedy and dies of Evans's power. After that, the police start to investigate the cause of death. They have been led to Evan and they took him for questioning. Again, Evan uses his power to get away from his responsibilities. Tremor explained to Evan his family tree. Then Evan starts to meet every single one of them. Firstly they met Fana and Kana. Tremor becomes the traitor and loses his power. Evan finds out that his fiancé is alive. He is eager to save her. Tremor and Evan were about to go to an adventure in the unknown world where Fran was to be found. They went through the three stages of the Tabular world. At all of those stages, they were experiencing their dreams, nightmares, and fears.

"Skills, naturally are more expensive to acquire," The contractor explained. "The more advanced and powerful the skills, the more expensive their price. And the more you increase a characteristic, the more expensive it will become to increase them again. Use your points wisely!"
Naturally. Still, it sounded like the system encouraged you to farm human lives to unlock more and more power. She'd certainly have to be cautious with it if she accepted it. 
"As I told you, every gem has a different Alternative Use. Combine them in useful ways, and the possibilities are endless! Now unlock the Burning Blast. We'll test it out. Press the 'yes' button that appears below the info square you are in."
"Well, here go Jane, Rox, and some Vagabond," She joked. "Let's see if they are useful for something."
"What did you say, Vanilla?" Rowie asked,
"Oh, nothing Rowie, Nothing at all." She remembered that Rowie still didn't know about how Vanilla killed them. She preferred it that way.
She pressed the 'yes' on the screen. The 19 at the top right descended to a 16, and a vertical line saying 'purchased!' appeared where the yes and no buttons were, at the bottom of the information square.
"Wonderful, Vani!" The contractor clapped. "Now shutdown the interface. Let's test the new skill. Press the ruby twice to activate it and put the tip against the ground. Oh, and the weapon will overheat, so you won't be able of using the burning explosion again for some 15 seconds."
Vanilla shut down the interface and took Avrevm Bacvlvm out of her pocket. That description put that the Burning Blast would cover an area of one meter of radius, so she walked to the center of what was a garden. No sneaking faces were at sight, just the warm sun above and birds singing on their lively green trees.
"And how do I test it? Against who?" She asked, hitting the tip of the pole against the palm of her hand.
"Against no one first. After that, we'll test it against some foes."
"Foes? What do you mean? We'll terrorize the town around?"
"Don't be ridiculous, Sweetie. I'll invoke some training spirits."
Invoke Training spirits? He also seemed to have conjuration abilities. She wondered what was him in reality, or if he was even human. His powers were clearly not anything common, and by common, talking by the extremely rare magic that existed in this word.
He stepped back, next to the corner of the wrecked house. Rowie moved to the other side of the garden, behind Vanilla, suspicious and mistrusting of the man.
Vanilla followed his instructions, put her thumb on the ruby, and smashed the tip of Avrevm Bacvlvm against the grass. She double-tapped the gemstone.
A burst of fire in the form of a ring appeared around her body leaving a safe, narrow circle, and spread to one meter in every direction, charring, thundering, and cracking everything around. The grass burned and the soil turned black.
She straightened. The golden tip of the baculum was now shiny, burning red.
"Excellent, Did you see how powerful was that?" The Contractor clapped. "Now let's try against some foes. Don't worry, they don't do much harm besides some scratches and punches."
He raised his arm, spread his hand, and pointed it graciously against the soil. A dazzling, blue beam came from his palm and hit the grass, spreading a swirling portal on it in color black and blue.
Through the portal raised up three diminutal beings with horns and long tails, with their punches running against Vanilla. They were translucid and shined in the same blue tone as the spirits of her plushes. 
The creatures rushed. She repeated the same moved and tapped the ruby. The scorching wave that emanated around her destroyed the incoming imps, sending them flying away between flames and making them evaporate in the air, releasing one last giggle.
"Splendid!" He said. "I am sure you'll have the opportunity to try that on stronger enemies." He extended his palm against the portal, and suctioned the portal against it, vanishing it away from this world.
"...I guess it is not that bad. What are the other alternative skills?" She asked, wanting to know more. But in reality, she could not be more excited about such a powerful weapon.
"It's better to see them by yourself. In my opinion, try using the alternative skill of the Sapphire, Ice Trap, and then the alternative skill of the onyx: Gravity pull. That combination never fails."
"Wow, you sure know too much about it," Rowie said, not moving from his position. The sun made his white fur shine.
"My dog friend, I invented that bargain." He responded. "Want to try the combination I am talking about, sweetie?"
"Yes. We are already here, after all."
"Fine. Use the system interface once more."
Vanilla did as he said, navigating from the main menu to the weapons menu, and finally selecting Avrevm Bacvlvm, pressing the black dot of golden margins on it. The Onyx's skill tree was the same as the ruby's: the black dot at the top, with two others descending from it, and more dots below making a straight line on the left, and a kite on the right.
"You must be wondering why the right section, called the 'alternative skill section' is shaped like that. Well, they have another special, alternative use. But that's quite advanced and I don't want to confuse and overwhelm you right now. Take a look at the left skill tree of the Onyx for a moment."
She did so. Instead of 'damage increase', the first dot put: 'hold increase'. The text put: 'Maximum Capacity: Avrevm Bacvlvm now is capable of holding more energy and matter through better crystal efficiency, thus increasing the maximum held capability of attacks by 7%, with a maximum of 49%. Use 1 point to increase? Increases left: 7/7, Yes/No.'
The two dots below put: 'Area of pull increase', and 'stability increase'. Sure they'd make that gem easier to handle and use, as it required more and more upper strength to use the more attacks it accumulated.
She turned back to the right, and read out loud the alternative skill description: "Gravity Pull: Select any object (Or being) NOT heavier than you, and pull them back to you, or whatever location you might assign them, within a maximum distance of 10 meters. Use 3 points to acquire this ability? Yes/No."
"Select yes, and then do the same with the Sapphire. I'll teach you this trick I talked about so I explain to you quickly the other sections, and we can leave. I've got things to do today, sweety."
She moved back to the Avrevm Bacvlvm Menu and selected the blue dot of golden margins. With the dots in the same formation as the Ruby and the Onyx, she selected the first right dot, the alternative skill. She read it to them:
"Ice trap: Place a mortal Ice Trap made of spikes. When an enemy activates it, they'll be decimated by a stream of ice and sharp spikes coming from their feet. Always slows them down. Use 3 points to acquire this skill? Yes/No." She pressed yes, and a 'Purchased!' line replaced the confirmation buttons.
"Now, place the trap between you and me. I'm going to invoke a training spirit that doesn't move and you are going to pull it to the trap."
Vanilla nodded, and pointed to the ground between them, three meters from him. She tapped twice the sapphire, and a puddle of ice with spiky points covered the soil, damaging the grass around.
The contractor raised his hand, unleashing blue magic and summoning another blue, swirling portal, and another training imp came out of it. It didn't move nor rush against Vanilla, compared to the ones she just defeated.
She pointed at it with the Onyx and double-tapped it. A black line emanated from the tip of the weapon and enveloped the mini demon. She pulled it to the ice trap, and the ice exploded, sending spikes above and annihilating the imp, vanishing in the air.
"Excellent, Vanilla." The contractor said and approached her, in the middle of the garden. Rowie did the same. "Imagine there is a really mean monster rushing against you. You can pull it to one of your traps and give them a good dose of good' old ice. What do you say?" He put his hands on his waist.
"Now I see, quite the useful thing. Maybe I can do the same with the Ruby's Burning Blast."
"Yeah, but that requires way more timing. Although it is more rewarding. Without increases, you can only set one Ice Trap, though. And you can't pull anything heavier than you with the Onyx, but you can increase the reach through the System Interface."
She looked at Avrevm Horologivm, and then at Avrevm Bacvlvm. That thing, despite her initial worries, demonstrated to be amazing, and a useful tool she could not just deny.

"and what prompted you to have a fight with Eunice like that?" Jimmy summoned Delilah.

"Oh please! I know you'll take her side because you like her" she was still very much angry.

"Now you listen to me Delilah. I warned you to stay away from her 'cos I didn't want something like this to happen one day" he pointed his index finger at her.

"I tried! I tried staying away from her and she continued pestering me with questions about when we first met" Delilah whined.

"You've explained this to me before and I told you not to disclose it to her. It'll be very dangerous" he said annoyed.

"I didn't know she was the Eunice girl. It's today I found out and I decided to paint a picture" she said.

"How could you not know?!"

"How could I possibly know?! I've not met her before!"

"I-Don't-Care! Okay? Just stay away from her!" He roared. "I've hurt her enough and I don't want you or anyone to add to what I've done to her" he said.

"You should have just looked for another alternative than looking for me!" She cried out, which made Jimmy vex.

"One more word from you, I swear just one more word from you and I'll throw you out of this house!" He barked at her.

She quickly and obediently fell silent but crying in jealousy. For she had grown love for him.

She knew he was serious and will throw her out of his house if she argued on. She wept. Jimmy still loved Eunice.

He left her weeping and went somewhere else to soothe his pain.

On Eunice's wedding day,her groom doesn't show up and after three years of disappointment and disgrace,she sees him. What will become of Eunice and Jimmy?..... Read.
