As they were transferred our protagonist, John Kaiser, was the sole student among his classmates who were left behind, leaving him all alone in their classroom.

As he was wondering what happened to the others, he remembered one of the novels he had read. It was a story of a fantasy world, where a king of a human kingdom summons heroes from another world to save their world from the demon king, a typical Isekai (Another World)  fantasy novel.

Our protagonist, John Kaiser, started to contemplate and question 'why?' why was he the only one not summoned?

And as his questions go crazy, a light emerges from the place where he was sitting.

Is this the start of our protagonist's fantasy adventure as a hero? Or will he live the same life again as an average person even in another world?

"PRINCESS you aren't concentrating" I refocused my gaze on Cyrus as I narrowly managed to dodge another swing to my face. 

"Mother fuckin friggin' ass****" lets just censor the others words yeah?. Okay so this really wasn't my best moment, I wasn't proud of it either. 

"I have to say Bethel you have some really interesting vocabularies up there, mind teaching me?" I glared at the Angel/spirit/god being in front of me. 

"Fuck off" 

"Aw is the princess mad because I beat her five times in a roll" okay yeah, that happened, I mean what did you expect, he was the god of war for crying out loud, war!! I say, he was obviously going to whoop my ass more times than I could count. 

"I really hate you" I said putting enough emphasis on 'really'. 

"We both know that is a big fat lie darling" He replied with a playful wink. I finally gave in and laughed. 

"Whatever" was my weak ass reply. 

"Ah she finally laughs!! there we go, there is the Bethel we all know and love" Cyrus said with a wide grin. I rolled my eyes and gave a small smile in response. 

"You know I've been wondering what's been eating you up recently. Since yesterday you've been a little bit up tight. Randuff said the same thing, that you've not been concentrating much when you guys do your mental training" I exhaled softly, I've been expecting this question. I mean why wouldn't I, even I know I've been behaving like a grade A Bitch recently. And it's all 'he's' fault. 

"Soo spill, what's up?" he finished. 

"Seker" was the only word I said no more words were needed. 

"Ahh I see, my magnûs fratér, I assume he is still avoiding you, yeah?" 

"What do you think Sherlock" I rolled my eyes. Shit not again. 

"Sorry" I apologized. I really needed to keep my mood under control. Cyrus didn't need to be on the receiving end of my mood swings. 

"It's quite okay Bethel, if I were you I'd be pissed to" I really liked that about Cyrus he was a really understanding person or would i say god. I know I've only known him for like 5 days but he really was one. Though he is playful and a real pain in my rare area, he was still a good..let me use the word.. friend. 

I gave him a grateful smile in return. 

"And to answer your question, yes, Seker is still avoiding me" I said feeling really down all of a sudden. 

After Seker had told me I was his Soulmate, which was like a bomb to me I was really shocked. Remember that time I said nothing else could beat me finding out about My boss being the Angel of death, well let's just say I was soo wrong, me being the soulmate to the Angel of death beats everything else. 

I didn't still know the meaning of the other things he had said, it was obviously not English 'Donum meum'. As soon as Seker had finished telling me the unbelievable news guess what I did people, I. Fainted. Yup you heard that right I Bethel Yohanna George who has never fainted in her entire 23 years of being on planet Earth Fainted. 

I really couldn't Blame myself though, I mean from finding out that Angels, gods basically biblical creatures actually do exist, to getting to know you're the soulmate of one. Give a girl a break will you. 

When I woke up on my bed in my aunt's house after supposedly fainting, I was surprised I was on my bed because the very last memory I had was of me having a very crazy conversation with three brothers who were apparently Ancient gods. I began to doubt if what I recalled really did happen, but all my doubts were pushing aside when Cyrus suddenly poofed up in my room uninvited, informing me that Seker apparently ordered him to guard me for the night, whatever that meant. 

I won't lie I was hurt by the fact that it wasn't Seker that came to watch over me, rather he sent his brother, I don't want to sound ungrateful or anything but I really just wanted it to be Seker. I was quite pissed he didn't take it upon himself to explain the 'Soulmate' thing to me, I mean I was only human there was soo much I didn't know or understand yet. 

After that day, thinking I would see Seker at work and he would explain everything explainable to me, nope he did the complete opposite, he avoided me like I was the plague. He sent one of his staffs to inform me that I was no longer needed to be his temporary assistant, which I won't lie, took me by surprise. Like couldn't he have had the fuckin decency to inform me of that personally, he actions made me feel like I was nothing to him. 

You know what I don't even know why I even care. Fuck him. 

I looked back at Cyrus who was still standing in front of me. I remember the day I started my training. After I came back from work I was greeted with the presence of the god of war on my Queen sized bed, he was bouncing on it like the small child he was. At first I refused to go anywhere with him to go and train, but it was the words he spoke that made me reconsider. I remember it like it was yesterday. 

'Do it for Him Bethel, do it for the both of you. You have to learn how to defend yourself against Lucifer, unless all the work Seker has put in trying to keep you safe would all be in vain'. 

I've got to say, the son of a gun really did have a way with words. And me starting to care for the Angel of death added to his success of convincing me. 

"speak of the devil" the sound of Cyrus voice drew me out of my thoughts. I noticed Cyrus had changed the direction of his attention from me to something else. Curious to what he was looking at, I also changed the direction of my gaze.

The lady was one of the most beautiful woman i have ever seen, and trust me i have seen a lot. After all i did live in New York city. But aside that, the woman looked somehow lost, like she was trying to figure out what was presently happening. 

Seeker licks his lips before talking. 

"I came to see Bethel" A scoffed automatically left my mouth. Was this man for real? After avoiding me and pretending like I didn't exist for days now, he thinks he could just waltz in and demand my audience like that, not to forget with another girl in his arms- okay so I might be a thinzy winzy jealous -Well this god doesn't know what's coming. 

Redirecting my gaze back to Cyrus I spoke. 

"I need to use the restroom I'll be back" Cyrus gave me a knowing look. We both knew I actually didn't want to use the bloody restroom. I just wanted to do anything that will avoid me talking to Seker right now. I was angry. 

Purposely avoiding to meet Seker's eyes, I walked to the opposite side of the room where the convenience was located. 

"Amica mea wait" his rough velvety voice called. But I ignored him completely. Since he's been ignoring me for more than four days now, it was only fair I did the same right? 

"Damn you really messed up big time bro" I heard Cyrus voice say as I turned through the corner. 

I heard a soft 'I know' as I then finally entered the restroom.

It had been one hour since the battle against the boss started. Auron and his group could only reduce almost 20% of the boss's health.
It seems pretty impressive for a team of 7 people. However, behind that impressiveness, Auron had already spent a lot of money.
Although Roan had said that he would help Auron with anything, he also could not handle this spent. He still needed money to continue his business. Roan braved himself to talk to Auron. Of course, he arranged his word so it would not hurt Auron.
Auron also had the same thought as him. However, he was not willing to leave the boss after spending 1 hour. He started to ponder how to make the battle became quicker.
While pondering, a shout was heard. Semial had been careless and got hit by the plant's root. He got paralyzed and fell to the ground.
"Oh, no!" Auron, who saw the root started to wrap Semial, became wary.

Another root emerged from the ground and attack Auron. Meanwhile, the other root threw Semial away and got back into the ground. Thanks to Auron's quick reaction, there was nothing significant happened.

Another root emerged from the ground and attacked Semial as soon as he entered the hall. Semial wanted to tell Auron to get back to the tunnel once more. However, before he could say that, Auron said something first, "Hey, let us destroy one of this root first."
Semial wanted to stop Auron since he know from Felice that it would only spawn another root and giving them more work. However, Auron already attack the root.
Since Auron had led him from before and he trusted Auron, Semial followed Auron's action and attacked the same root as the one that Auron attacked. Each root had one million health points. However, its defense was not as sturdy as the boss itself.
Auron and Semial's attack damaged the root for around 3000 to 6000 each attack. Moreover, if Semial used his skill, then it could produce 10000 damage to the root. As this was only a trial, only Auron and Semial that were attacking the root. Meanwhile, the others still attacked the boss.
The damages quickly accumulated, and in one minute, the root withered. It had died under Auron and Semial attacks. Just like what Felice had said previously, as soon as the root died, another root showed up and replaced the withered root.
However, Auron smiled. It was not because of the newly emerged root, but it was because the boss got his health reduced by 1% when the root died.
"Use your area attacks!" Auron shouted to the group while avoiding the newly emerged root.
The groups had been holding their area attack because they didn't want to accidentally kill the root and make the bait's burden heavier.
However, the other didn't immediately used their area attack. It was because they were confused about why Auron would told them to do something like that.
"Look at the boss' health. It reduced by about 1% as soon as the root died." Auron explained.
The others confirmed this and started to use their area attack. The attack hit the boss as well as its root. With the help of the area damage, the root's health quickly depleted.
It only took 40 seconds for another root to die under the barrages of the attack. However, the fourth root already emerged and attacked Semial.
Right now, the situation was still under control with two withered roots and one root for Auron and Semial each. The third root withered and replaced by the fifth root.

"Increase your output damage!!! Use your buff potion if you had any!" Auron stressed out. He was beginning to feel the difficulty in avoiding the roots. Moreover, the space had been reduced because of the many roots.

As the summer term was nearing its end. Gwydion and Ganon made every effort to be together. So as each day passed, they would sit next to each other in class, and still sneak away to the room of requirements to have their privacy. This was how Gwydion opened up more of his feelings for Ganon. They were holding hands one afternoon walking into the Great Hall.
Gwydion still had a slight problem with people staring, he noticed immediately and tried to let go, but Ganon felt his hand slipping out and gripped Gwydion's hand tighter. Gwydion looked down at their hands joint together then back up to face Ganon to see him smile so Gwydion nervously smiled back.
"It's OK. Everything is going to be alright." Ganon spoke soothingly to calm Gwydion down.
They were genuinely happy that they no longer had to sneak around their friends. Ganon wasn't as happy as he could be, Ash-Strix had started avoiding him. He decided to confide in Gwydion and Hawthorn.
"Guys I don't know what to do, Ash-Strix has started avoiding me. He usually comes looking for me, I don't think he's happy with me being with a Gryffindor," Ganon explained
"Don't worry about it, I'm sure he will come around just like everyone else has." Gwydion said as he wrapped his arms around Ganon.
"Or he could be avoiding you because he thinks you're spending too much time with Gwydion and not him, your best mate," Hawthorn explained.
"But he and I have literally been friends forever, we have always looked out for each other. Even the majority of the Slytherins are not speaking to me, so this is what it feels like?" Ganon asked.
Gwydion muttered quietly "To be ignored you mean?" Ganon nodded. "Yes, this is how I've always felt, but you get used to it after awhile. It can become a nice tranquil place to be and���" Gwydion started, "...You find that the people who stay in your life are your real friends," Gwydion finished.
"You know that I love you Gwydion and I will never let you go," Ganon said passionately. "Even if it means making new best friends if I have too" Ganon finished.
Gwydion suddenly got all teary-eyed, Ganon wiped them away and kissed his forehead then his lips.
 
After that, everyone in the school knew about them. Some Slytherin's came around to the idea, they even called their small group Slythindor. Ganon occasionally tried to talk to Ash-Strix, but Ash just froze him out. Eventually Ganon just gave up trying.
Ganon sought comfort in Gwydion, Gwydion held him tight across his torso not needing to say a word.  By the end of the term Ganon and Gwydion were known as the ultimate power couple, even the witches and wizards at Hogsmeade knew their names.
 
 
After Hogwarts…
Gwydion couldn't believe how quick his first year at Hogwarts went, he couldn't believe how much has happened and how much he had accomplished. He felt a little sad when he boarded the Hogwarts Express back to London, but he was happy that he has a friend for life in Hawthorn and a gorgeous guy like Ganon by his side.
After Ganon and Gwydion left Hogwarts, they each went home to see their families. They kept in contact as much as they could. One spring morning Ganon decided to jump on the train to see Gwydion. He had asked Hawthorn for his address.
It was a long journey, he was nervous but he still managed to sleep most of the way. He wondered about the area Gwydion lived in, whether or not it was nice. He was wondering how he should introduce himself when his phone suddenly rang.
"Hello! Who's this?" Ganon answered.
"Hello? Is this Ganon?" the other person asked.
"It is Ganon Griffiths, who is this?" he asked.
"It's me Gwydion, I have changed my number. Sorry, I could have just texted you it but I wanted to hear your voice," Gwydion explained.
"Oh Gwydion, It's only been a couple weeks. I am actually on the train right now, I wanted to see you," he said with a smile.
"Oh… my… god!!" Gwydion shouted and jumped up for joy "Are you actually serious right now? T ...that's amazing.  I ...I can't wait to see you. When will you get here?" Gwydion expressed joyfully nervously.
"I will be arriving in about…" Ganon looked at his watch, "...an hour"
"Oh that's cool, I will be waiting on the platform," Gwydion said eagerly.
They had continuously chatted throughout Ganon's journey until he was nearly there.
"Yeah...Hello...hello!…" Ganon's phone got cut off as they went through a tunnel. He was about to call him back when, to Ganon's surprise, he noticed they were about to arrive. He saw a crowd of people on the platform.
As he got off the train he saw Gwydion waiting for him. They ran into each other's arms, catching one another in mid-air, almost falling to the floor. From then on they knew that whatever the worlds threw at them they could get through anything and still remain together stronger than ever before.

                  Entrance Examination (1)


Kenji entered the second hall, after entering the door three paths appeared in front of him.

 The first path is written above the traps path.

The second path is the blood path

The third path is the path of chaos

 There was no point in thinking and nothing could be deduced from the name only, Kenji chose the path of traps and got in.

 What greeted Kenji was complete darkness, all of a sudden the lights were lit,  and so the lights continued to light and dim, the path was dark and without any lights, nothing could be seen, the name of this path was the path of traps, which means that it is full of traps, Without light you will be blind in the dark, how do you notice where the traps are and how you will avoid them.

 Kenji stopped for a moment and did not rush to walk the path, the number of participants who chose the second room was small, and they will enter the tracks in succession, for example, Kenji, after exceeding several meters from this path, the next participant will enter.

Avoiding all this was difficult, while Kenji avoiding the arrows and the snowballs looked like an acrobat making funny moves.

 With each progress, the number of arrows and the number of snowballs increased, the arrows became sharper and more accurate, and the snowballs increased in size as the progress continued, at first it was fine, but after advancing more and more, an arrow struck Kenji's heart, after sensing this, Kenji panicked. Lily froze in her place. She bit her lips that started to tremble when she realized that Lance knew that she was avoiding him.

"The first time that we met at that coffee shop for a meeting, I wondered, are you the Lily that my friend Bob is talking about? Because he said that you are friendly, bubbly and carefree. But it doesn't seem like it. So I was worried that you might not be feeling well," Lily turned to look at him, she wanted to say that she became speechless that time because she had fallen in love at first sight with him.
 
"The next moment, I saw you looking tensed, pale, and disoriented at the parking lot. I was worried when you drove away in that condition so I secretly followed you until I saw you entered the compound of an apartment building. I never left until I was sure that you were safe." Lance chuckled when he finally realized something. "What am I thinking back then? Why would I secretly follow you?"

Lily was flustered and finally had a voice to question him. "If you followed me that day, then you already know my address. Why did you still ask my address from Sarah the night that I got drunk at Rendezvous?"
 
"Right," Lance chuckled awkwardly. "That night your friends left you drunk to me. I still had to call Sarah to inform her that you will be taken home by me. I even pretended that I didn't know your address to avoid suspicions."
 
"Oh..." Lily said then she lowered her head. He thought it well. She thought internally.
 
"I am surprised that you are Jacob's brother and my best friend's sister-in-law. It doesn't concern me at all. I was glad that somehow, we have that kind of connection." 
 
Lily smiled as she started to feel at ease. "I thought my brother would kill you that night."
 
Lance chuckled. "He wouldn't dare. We didn't even talk about you that night. All we talked about is his wife. Your brother is a sensible man. He knew that I am not in the wrong and that I meant no harm towards you."
 
Lily snapped her head to look at him. This time, she was able to look into his eyes that stared out in the darkness. What does he mean? She thought to herself. When he turned to look at her, she instantly dropped her head and busied her hands with the hem of her jacket. 
 
Lance stared at Lily who was sitting beside him. He takes another deep breath. "The night of the gala, I saw that you were drinking. When I called J, I told her that you were drinking in the hope that she or Jacob would stop you. Because even if I don't want to see you drinking, I know I don't have the right to stop you."
 
"In the end, I went upstairs and thought that Sarah would control you. But I was never at ease. So, I still went back to look for you only to find that you were missing. Do you know how scared I was? I never felt that scared before." Lance said as if he could still feel that fear that he felt that night.
 
Lily bit her lips. Her tears were already swelling but she tried to control her tears. He cared for me. That was the thought that keeps repeating in her mind at that moment.
 
"When I finally found you, you were crying and kept on saying that I don't care about you. How could you say that I don't care about you? Were you that narrow-minded that you only believe in what you wanted to believe in without even considering my thoughts?" Lance sounds angry and resentful. 
 
"Is it not?" Is it? Does he care about me? Lily thought, looking at Lance's side profile. Her eyes were turning red and glossy.
 
"It's not! I mean it is! I…" Lance raised his voice in irritation. He felt misjudged.
 
"You didn't know how much I cared about you because you were either disoriented, drunk or asleep. And this time, you started avoiding me. So, how would you know?" Lance looked at Lily and their eyes met. Seeing that Lily is about to cry, Lance became conscious of his words and his tone.
 
"When you fell asleep here, I let you sleep on my shoulder. I didn't make a move because I am afraid that it would wake you. I make sure to look after you so that if you move, you won't fall. I kept my eyes open and didn't dare to fall asleep so that I could watch over you and prevent mosquitoes from ever touching you." Lance's voice was so gentle that this time, Lily could not hold on to a tear that fell on her cheeks.

"Why are you saying these things to me?" One tear followed by another started flowing down from her eyes. She couldn't hold it in anymore, her emotions came pouring overwhelmingly.
 
"Because you are being unfair Lily! I want to open up your mind so that you could see other possible things." Lance sounds aggrieved and this made Lily feel worse. She regretted that she ignored and avoided him. She should have waited for him. She should have talked to him.
 
"How could you just start avoiding me without even talking to me about what happened?" Lance felt that Lily wasted a good few weeks that they were supposed to be getting closer. But somehow, he knows that he is also partly to blame. If only he had tried to talk to her earlier. 
 
Being too meticulous has a disadvantage as well. "Because you believe that I don't care." Lance finished the words that Lily could not say. But Lily shook her head because it was not what she was trying to say. She wanted to apologize but she cannot form a word. She felt a lump in her throat and her crying is making it worse.
 
"I always cared about you. Back then, I already liked you. But I won't commit just because I like you. I might only hurt you in the end." Lance looked at Lily who was crying. God knows how much he wanted to hug her that moment. He felt his heart-tugging at her state.
 
"But now, I don't just like you Lilybeth. I'm in love with you. And you made me realize that when you started avoiding me and dating another man." Lily raised her head and looked at Lance who was looking at her affectionately. Did she hear it right? He loves her and he even called her by her real name? Damn, no one has ever called her by her real name as sweet as he did. Her tears-filled eyes were wide in astonishment. 

"I thought you liked me?" She heard Lance ask her and she wanted to shout out 'I do!' but she suddenly remembered something.
 
"Aren't you a little bit late?" She and Andrew were already dating and their parents arranged for it. Both families have already approved of it.
 
"Am I?" Lance looked at her inquiring. Lily wanted to pounce on him and hug him and never let him go.
 
"I love you Lilybeth." Lance's words were so gentle. Though it was not a question, Lily knew that he was waiting for an answer.
 
"Damn you," Was Lily's only reply.
 
Lance frowned. "I confessed and your reply is 'damn you?" This girl is really something. "Am I that late?"
 
Lily was already starting to calm down but her emotions were still unstable. "Andrew and I…" She wanted to say that she and Andrew don't have a relationship and were only making it appear so to please their parents but Lance beat her to it.
 
"I know that you and Andrew were just friends. I already made a background check of the man. I was not your sister-in-law's right-hand man for nothing. I already talked to your brother and he is not in favor of Andrew, though he is not also in favor of me at least he gave me the approval to pursue you. And I also talked to your parents and informed them of my intention to you, I know they were the ones who matchmake you with Andrew but luck is on my side and they gave me their blessing. So, there is no reason for you to hold back." Lance said confidently.

"Being married to you means the world to me. Don't worry about my family, they knew, and they were much eager to protect you. I don't care if my life would be in danger as long as you are safe. My life is not normal without you in it. Ah… what was the last one?" Jacob stopped and rubbed his chin trying to remember J's last word before he interfered.

"Ah! Right!" Jacob's eyes gleamed when he seemed to remember. "I was so glad that your grandfather dragged me into this messy and complicated life of yours. Because if he didn't, I would be forcing myself into your life, even if you don't want to."

"Was I able to answer all your questions, Mrs. Jacob Parker?" Jacob asked, emphasizing how he addresses J as Mrs. Jacob Parker indicating that whoever she is, she would still be his wife.

At the age of 10, J's parents died in an ambush leaving her in the care of her grandfather who years later sent her away along with her best friend to hide her and her identity from those who would try to kill her after her parents.

20 years later, a lot of things had already happened. Her grandfather died. She is back in the country for good though still hiding her identity. Everything was peaceful until a man came claiming her as his wife.

I didn't stop Joeffrey from advancing on me. It was like I was dreaming and everything happened so fast. I remember some bare details, like seeing him remove a strip of condoms from his back pockets. It left me wondering if he had a habit of sleeping with random girls, because it was clear I was one to him. As quickly as it started, it came to an end. He might have enjoyed himself but my case was different. 


I had some pain from the penetration. I didn't feel euphoric as I had heard some girls like Cindy say. In fact, it was quite terrible because it felt like the whole deed is over-rated or probably Joeffrey was just bad at it.
 Joeffrey just left to the bathroom after his excitement settled, without a word to me. Was I just used? Did he use me to slake his urges and dumped me before the night ended?


I refused to listen to what my mind was telling me. Joeffrey will return and say words of endearment to me, I encouraged myself. He must have taken so long in the bathroom because I slipped into sleep. It was a flash of light over my face and the click of a camera that roused me. I awoke quite scared but Joeffrey reassured me that he had taken a picture of my sleeping face because it was cute. He told me I had been asleep for 30 mins and that Nath just called him to inform him that Cindy was waiting for me so we could go home. I quickly grabbed my clothes and put them on right in front of Joeffrey. After what had happened between us, I needn't be shy anymore, I reminded myself. I should feel confident about myself right? They said this kind of thing is healthy or?


When I was done dressing, Joeffrey kissed me on the forehead and told me goodbye. 

"I'll be seeing you again right?" I asked with apprehension. He rubbed my cheek with his palms and said yes and then he saw me off at the door. 


I met Cindy at the entrance of the lounge. She was clearly drunk but I was thankful that in that state she was unlikely to ask me about how my evening went. The guilt of my actions had started seeping into my mind. Uncle Joseph and Aunt Amy were religious people. The home I grew up in frowned on pre-marital sex.
 I just had pre-marital sex. I'm a mess I started the self-blame. But it was with Joeffrey and I love him so it's alright, I kept on encouraging myself. 


Nath drove Cindy and I to Cindy's home. She lived with her divorced mum who was barely there for her so I quite relieved when she wasn't around to see us arrive in the state we were in. Nath was so drunk but he managed to drive us without killing anyone on the streets. He however hit some speed bumps so hard that I was sure under his Ferrari looked very worn-out. 


Cindy and I made it to the living room and collapsed on the sofas. Cindy was asleep before she landed on the sofa. I however was restless. I took a shower in Cindy's bathroom. I thought the cold water would make sleep arrive sooner but it took it's  time to arrive. I replayed everything in my head and I cried at my fate. At least, I'm sure not to get pregnant or get an STI at 14, I calmed my sore feelings.....


The next morning, I woke up groggy and Cindy had a really bad headache she couldn't stop complaining about. I was tired of her annoying voice and there was nothing in the house to eat so I freshened up, took a taxi and left for home. 


Upon arrival, I met Aunt Amy at the front porch and I said my good mornings and quickly dashed for my bedroom. She might have noticed that something was off with me because she appeared in my room shortly after. 


She asked about the party, Cindy and about every part of my school life that she knew. I managed to converse lightly without spilling what really happened. I told lies. After, she prepared breakfast for me which I really enjoyed. The rest of the day was uneventful. It occurred to me that I didn't have Joeffrey's contact. I didn't have Nath's too and if I should go through Cindy through Nath to reach Joeffrey, it'll be too long a route with a likely explanation to Cindy, something I was avoiding. If Cindy was the one who had slept with a boy like Joeffrey, I'm sure she would have announced it herself to the whole school.  I wasn't like her. I couldn't even tell my friend what I had done.


The next day, Hans called to ask me out but I rejected it. I was so confused. Would Joeffrey be dating me from Monday? Has he tried getting my number like I wanted to get his? I had no answers to these. I didn't hear from him. The day ended, Monday came by and I couldn't concentrate in class. I avoided Cindy. I didn't see Nath or Joeffrey among the rich cool kids during break.


At the close of the day, I went to Bill's class to look for Joeffrey. I had to see him. I didn't see Joeffrey but Bill was around and thought I had come looking for him. We waited together at the car park till Jude came and then Bill drove us home. I felt I could inquire about Joeffrey from Bill but that was too risky. I didn't want Bill asking questions.


Throughout the week, I was going through the motions of school with zero zeal or commitment to activities. I was afraid that Joeffrey was avoiding me. I had still not seen him. He hadn't reached me. By Friday, I couldn't take it anymore. I had to move on whatever is the case but I had to at least know why Joeffrey was avoiding me. 


I went to his class again. This time Bill wasn't around. He had probably left class early and was waiting at the car park but I saw Basil. Remember that guy right. He smiled upon seeing me and commented that I was the cutest when asleep. I was shocked at this statement because that was exactly what Joeffrey said to me when he took my picture after we had ..... you know what..



And so I asked Basil why he was saying that to me when he hasn't seen me asleep. I was beyond shocked when he told me that I had posted my sleeping face on my new Instagram account, with that caption. He said it should be obvious since I posted it.


The truth was I never had Instagram account so someone has probably posted my picture with that caption. That's absurd, I groaned internally. Basil launched the app on his phone and showed me my supposed IG page. It was indeed my picture and the account name was mine. What baffled me was that it wasn't any other picture of my sleeping face than the one Joeffrey had taken.



Something dawned on me. My heart raced like a horse and I rushed to the best place I would find Cindy at this time; in the library using free WiFi. 


I whispered-yelled at her and questioned her about the picture. She was totally unmoved that I was seething with anger. She blatantly said that she retrieved it from Nath's phone and since I've been avoiding her she wanted a means to call my attention so she thought about posting the picture on IG falsely using my identity.  

Sheer stupidity!

It doesn't make sense.  Was Cindy alright in her head? Why was that picture on Nath's phone in the first place, I asked. But no answer of hers made sense so I went looking for Nath. He should have a better understanding of things....


I found Nath in the gym. He wanted to get away from me. Apparently he had been avoiding me too but I didn't know.



I demanded an explanation. I cried about my confusion, fears and everything that I had been feeling for the past week. I didn't care that I was causing a scene.
 He was affected by my manners and pulled me out of the gym to explain things to me.


With every word he said, a part of me died. He started by first apologising for any wrong part he has played since meeting me. 
He said Joeffrey had transferred to another school because his rich parents had decided to move to another country and the night of the party was also the same night, his group of friends decided to throw him a party at the hotel which belonged to Joeffrey's family.


It was a send-off party. He wasn't going to come back to the country for any reason. 


Also that night, the boys had played a dare-game and Joeffrey's  dare was to bang a random girl who was not his type.


When he had mentioned it to Cindy. Cindy suggested me because I was already in love with Joeffrey and would be pleased to have him bang me. He believed Cindy and thought it harmless so suggested it to Joeffrey who then acted on the dare to approach me that night.


It was all a plan.


He apologised severally that he didn't think Joeffrey would really do the dare because I wasn't his type of girl but then he did and the picture he took was to serve as proof. 



I fainted.

I woke up in the sick bay, surrounded by Jude, Bill and Nath. They were all relieved to see me wake. Nath excused himself and left.  My brothers took me home, appearing worried that I had fainted. I lied that I was unwell. 


I skipped school for days and also refused to see the doctor. Aunt Amy was very patient with me. She assumed it was one of those teenage things.  She let me know she was open to talk but I never opened up to her. After day 5, she threatened that she'll tell my uncle who was relatively stricter. I yielded to her and started school again.

"Who's Catherine Peterson?"
