Three black werecat orphan brothers are trying their best to find a home when they are finally adopted. Everything goes great with their new family until tragedy strikes and they are left with an unexpected guardian.

This story is about an average high school boy with an average lifestyle who likes to read novels especially fantasy ones and was transferred to another world along with his classmates from his school.

As they were transferred our protagonist, John Kaiser, was the sole student among his classmates who were left behind, leaving him all alone in their classroom.

As he was wondering what happened to the others, he remembered one of the novels he had read. It was a story of a fantasy world, where a king of a human kingdom summons heroes from another world to save their world from the demon king, a typical Isekai (Another World)  fantasy novel.

Our protagonist, John Kaiser, started to contemplate and question 'why?' why was he the only one not summoned?

And as his questions go crazy, a light emerges from the place where he was sitting.

Is this the start of our protagonist's fantasy adventure as a hero? Or will he live the same life again as an average person even in another world?

"Next" A female with cat ears and whiskers smiles at Link.
He was in the Adventurer's Guild, planning on signing up to get himself a form of Identification.
One of the tips in the 'Sky Tips' book was to go and register as an Adventurer. Since none of the students are residents of this continent they would need the Adventurer's Guild's Card to use as an ID.
Link walked up to the woman with a polite smile and spoke.
"My name is Link, i'm a traveler. I camped not too far from here yesterday and when i woke up in the morning i did not find my belongings" He continued "Would it be possible to register without my ID?"
"Of course. These sort of things happen a lot and some people do not want to pay the fee for another ID Card. There have been a lot of robberies in the Area. The City Guards have been patrolling outside and inside the City walls in an attempt to lessen these incidents but sadly it is only increasing. There are rumors that a Bandit Group has taken camp not too far from us." The woman spoke. Link could not help but stare at her Whiskers as she talked. They moved in a cute way.
"That is scary, I got lucky then" said Link.
"Maybe you did. I heard that they kill most of their victims" She continued "Here you go, please fill this form"
Link grabbed the paper and pen then started writing. They did not ask for too much information. Besides the name, age and race, they also asked about his class and weapon of choice.
Link knew exactly what Class he should put. Since he could not put Mage, he put Conjurer. Which was the closest thing to a Mage.
There were 5 Classes in this world. (Warriors, Archers, Tamers, Conjurers and Necromancers)
The word Mage was banned by the god that ruled this place. Link was ignorant to the full story but he did know that anybody who says the word or claims to be one will be locked and prosecuted.
"Here you go" Link smiled, handing the paper back.
"Ok, please wait here for a minute, i'll be right back" The woman said, walking away.
"This is my first time seeing a catfolk. The whiskers suited her well with her human face" Link thought to himself.
"Hey kid, what're you doing here?" Link looked behind him. A man dressed in an iron Chestplate and boots spoke with him. He was all muscle with a giant axe on his back.
"What?" Link asked, confused.
"All Adventurers here are war veterans or graduates of Military Schools. You look like you're still drinking tit milk" The man laughed, catching the attention of the people present.
"It's Oran again, he's bullying another newbie"
"Doesn't he get bored? Always with the same act?"
"I know right? It was fun in the beginning but it's getting old. He thinks he's doing something great by belittling the rookies?"
"Whatever, the Guild won't let him go too far anyways. Let's just watch"
"Tit Milk? That's a new one" Said Link, looking at the guy "Why? You offering?"
The people around burst into laughter. Oron was a big man with too much muscle. Which meant his breasts or pecs were huge too. People found it funny, especially when Link pointed at them.
"You think that's funny brat?" Oron said angrily.
"I didn't laugh, they did. Go ask them" Link smiled.
"The adventurer's Guild used to be the home of powerful people. We hunted beasts and mutants like they were small game. But now any snot nosed brat with kindergarten skills can waltz in here and pretend to be one of us" Oron spoke, his hand clenched into a fist. Apparently he did not like Link's joke.
"Dude. You look old as fuck, why are you picking on a 14 year old?" Link asked.
"Because I'm sick of seeing your kind here" Said Oron. Reaching to grab him.
Oron's hand almost reached Link's collar when he grabbed his wrist.
"Don't touch me. I don't like people touching me" Link said, his eyes shining. He started circulating Mana, boosting his strength.
"Haha. Is that so? Too bad then" Oron said, putting more strength into pushing towards Link. But his hand did not move.
"Why can't i move it?" Oron thought to himself.
Link looked at him in the eyes and squeezed a little. Sending a shock of pain to Oron.
"This brat is not normal" He thought, relaxing his arm. Link did that to send him a message and Oron stopped what he was doing.
Link let go and turned around. Oron looked at Link's back for a bit then walked away without saying a word, touching his wrist.
"What happened?"
"Why did Oron suddenly walk away?"
"That was weird"
A few minutes later the Woman returned. Handing Link a Bronze colored Card the size of an average ID. It had his name, age, and class at the top. With an empty space at the bottom.
"Why is it empty here?" Link asked. Pointing at the spot.
"That is where your Rank is supposed to go, but you're unranked at the moment. If you want a Rank you must go through a test" The woman explained.
"What test?" Link asked.
"One of our Guild's staff will test your skills, if he finds you decent you will receive a Rank and become an official member" She explained.
"I would like to be tested then" Said Link with a smile.

Link was inside an empty room, it had no roof and the walls were reinforced by an odd material. It was as big as a soccer field.
5 minutes later, a Man wearing leather armor walked in, he had a document in his hand as he greeted Link.
"Hey there young man. You are Link, correct?" He asked.
"Yes I am."
"My name is Egon. Nice to meet you" Egon looked like he was in his early fifties. He wore a gentle smile on his face "Shall we begin then?"
"Yes please" Link said, grabbing the Training Dagger he was given.
"Ok. If you manage to land one hit on me, you will pass. How does that sound?" Egon asked.
"Simple"
"Haha, is it? Ok then. Show me what you got" Egon gestured for Link to come.
Ding!
Egon opened his eyes wide. He barely started the test when Link appeared in front of him and attacked his chest, landing a hit straight away.
"What?" Egon muttered, still in shock.
"Does that mean I pass?" Link asked.
"Y..yes, congratulations" Egon wrote something on the Document and gave it to Link. Telling him to go give it to the receptionist.
After Link left, Egon was still standing there.
"Did you see that?" He suddenly spoke. Facing towards a wall.
"I did, He teleported. That was quick and without any delay" A voice spoke from the same direction "That is great Mana Control. You think he's from that place?"
"Probably. That was not something Kids from around here can do that easily" Egon spoke.
"They've started early this year. What happened?"
"Not sure. But keep an eye on that Kid. We can't let him get in our way" Egon's face changed. He no longer looked gentle, but a sinister expression appeared.
"Understood"

Since he could move now, he thought that it was the best to complete the mission since he actually wanted to understand what the other goblins were talking till now.

'They do look greenish but are they really...'
He managed to walk somehow towards one of such pebbles and picked it up.

That was quick, way too quick. He didn't even realize what he just did. He was suddenly getting a large number of notifications and only after hearing and reading them did he understand that he completed some hidden quest or mission designed by the system.
'Wow, another skill?'
It was not very long since he had received a skill and now he was about to receive another.
'Cool! I accept!'

'From now on your name shall be Zeno!', he gave some other random name but it was definitely better than calling him Goblin System.

Leo smiled a bit after naming and then looked at the crystal which he held in his hand.
It was quite light and was indeed like a pebble so he didn't understand how it could store mana.
Regardless, he could pose all those questions later, now all that he had to do was to absorb it.
'Now let's start absorbing this crystal...'
'...'
'Wait a second, how do I even absorb it?', that was something he didn't know about.
Definitely he didn't have any special skills for that and even if he did, that didn't mean that other goblins did the same. There might have been some other method to do it.
'Ding'
[ Master, you have to swallow the crystal and your body will start to absorb it on it's own ]
'Huh, I have to swallow this piece of junk?'
[ Affirmative ]
Leo really didn't like the sound of it. He could never imagine swallowing a pebble. How the heck would it even digest? It would end up destroying his internals and that would be pretty bad.
However, he soon realized that he was not a human anymore, in fact he was one of the ugliest and weakest creature - A Goblin. He realized that this might be how the other Goblins would do so without thinking much he just swallowed it.
*gulp*
That was not the only reason that made him swallow, he wanted to know what a pebble would taste like and how it would effect his body since he always desired for new things!
The moment he swallowed, his stomach started to feel heavy. 
'Ugh, what the heck is this...?'
He held his stomach tightly as if he was in immense pain. He could neither shout nor could he run if he wanted to since he didn't want to direct any attention towards himself.
All he did was lie on the ground while suffering from the immense pain.
'Damn... I feel like I would faint soon...', and just as he had thought that, he really did faint.
'Ding'

"What is The Guild and what do they do?"

"Good question. So The Guild is an organization or a company that is home to the awakened beings where they are trained, recruited and eventually dispatched to combat mages or rogues"

"You've stated The Guild is and I quote "home to the awakened beings", are awakened beings, not humans, or what do you mean by that?"

"Appears like most of you had a similar question so let me answer that first then I'll answer the remainder alright? Thank you."

"First and foremost, what are the awakened? To answer that we need to know what makes one awakened. An awakened is a being whose mana core is active. What is a mana core you may ask? It is a vessel that every being in our world is born with that stores and grants the power to manipulate mana when active. Therefore the thing that makes the awakened stand out or rather be deemed awakened is that their mana core is active while the other beings are not. From my prior statement, you can get the underlying information that everybody has a mana core be it human or beast and therefore any of them can be awakened the moment their core is active. And that is why I stated that The Guild is home to awakened beings. And yes awakened humans are still humans"

"Yes?"

"How does one awaken their mana core and what is mana?"

"Mana is an energy in our world used to enhance our bodies,power spells and magecraft. A mana core as mentioned previously is the medium via which every being uses to access mana and use it when awakened.  For your first question sorry to disappoint but I don't know of any known method to awaken the mana core."

"Yes?"

"Where is the mana core found in the human body?"

"Based on what I understand, the mana core is located in the mind and can only be perceived in awakened beings as a glowing spherical core in your head when being utilized. Further advanced scans have revealed that mana cores in the awakened bodies are not physically tangible"

"Yes?"

"Who are mages? And why are they a threat that requires awakened people to fight them?"

"Another good question. So mages are humans well versed in the art of magick in order to manipulate mana to cast spells and other magick. The reason why mages are a threat is that they capture or attack humans for their mana cores. Based on what I understand, mages have a method of extracting mana core's from the human body then use them to increase their mana capacity or to power their spells or magical tools. Another reason is that they believe they are superior to humans and thus the only reasons humans and beast's exist is to serve them whether through supplying mana core's or labor."

"How is The Guild handling the mage problem and why is it that civilians don't know about mage attacks or the guild?"

"The Guild works in tandem with other institutions and one such organization has been providing The Guild with top-level magitech crafted by the awakened that aid in monitoring mana fluctuations and level. That way they are able to narrow down areas being attacked since mages have high mana they can be detected and an awakened team is dispatched to safeguard the civilians. The reason why civilians don't know of The Guild is that they likely haven't been the victim of mage assaults and the other explanation is that one of The Guild's policies is restricting media info of The Guild from being shared or spread. The Guild is just but one organization and it can't stand alone against the mage community"
"And that is why we are mobilizing and spreading the word for the awakened to join our banner in order to raise our numbers to provide us a greater fighting chance. Because you wouldn't know where the mages are going to  attack next."

"Yes?"

"What is the difference between a mage and an awakened since both of them have their core active?"

"Since you know what a mage is then awakened humans are humans whose mana core enhances one physical attribute of their body through mana. It can be their physical strength, agility, intelligence, endurance, and various others. Therefore as you can deduce while both have their cores active, for mages they use their core to manipulate mana to cast spells from their various schools of magick. Contrarily, awakened humans use their core to boost their enhanced attribute for instance an awakened whose core enhances their strength attribute utilizes their core to boost their strength with the mana in their core reserves. Another difference is that mages are born with active cores and knowledge on spells and casting which is in a language only they can comprehend, apparently only mages can study the spell books and thus only they can do magick."



Human or beast they all have one enemy the Mages, they who are born with the power to manipulate mana as they fit for their magecraft. The only way for mages to grow is through mana cores that coincidentally, everyone has when they are born. Therefore for anyone that isn't a mage beware they are coming for that which you cannot see, use or protect: your mana core.
