so basically i got bored and decided to write a fan-fiction, and also got pissed of at those authors for dropping novels.

this story is for me to relieve some boredom and i'm going to steal plots from other novels just saying, cause I know you girls will go crazy in the comment when you notice.

A dimensional rift opened on a lower level world as a young man in silver robes, with silver hair and silver eyes stepped onto the world.

"Ah, it's going to take time to get used to having a body"

Stepping forward, a flash appeared in his eyes as he recalled something. Waving his hand a reflection of the universe he stepped in almost resembling a star chart appeared in the air.
'Young one, no need to panic it's me. I have no  ill intentions by coming here, so I advise you not to send your gods and goddesses to confront me, considering if I wished, I could wipe you from existance with only a mere thought. Let alone those that represent your will. I am contacting you right? Already proof enough I mean no harm.'

Every universe has similar universal laws, so, for the oldest universe that now has a body, it's no hassle figuring out any different laws than his own. So on this topic, usually a powerful entity would be weakened in another's domain even if they are weak. That is true, but it doesn't apply to universes, well, at least universes that are older can freely mess with a younger universe without any difficulties (sending random people to be reincarnated in another universe with a cheat system, is a way for older universes to bully younger universes..) it's even more noticeable with Shen Mu. He is not interfering with a younger universe, since he has a body, he is able to enter and live within a younger universe. A universe in the shape of a human, living in a younger universe, and the younger universe can't restrict his power or kick him out.. 

Older universes get a kick out of making things difficult for younger universes.. Shen Mu is passed that stage, but even he got a twinkle in his eyes when he felt the younger universe weep like a little brother being picked on by his older brother, well, the equivalent of a universe's crying...

Shen Mu closed his eyes as he scanned all the lower worlds, laughing as he found some familiar names. 
"The world of maruto? Berry tail? Pleach? It appears this universe was created by the leaking power of imagination from the life forms of other universes, since a lot of these worlds I don't recognize.."

Laughing even louder, he slapped his knee, "Seriously? This youngster named this world I am on 'Typical Xianxia World'? A universe created by leaking imagination power, interesting indeed.."

Lifting off into the sky, Shen Mu vanished as he appeared on the outskirts of a large city.

"First stop in this world, time to try out some food myself, just memories alone from the lives of my children doesn't do food justice.."

A sad look briefly appeared in his eyes as he walked to the city, getting more and more excited about the foods he can try.

'About those other worlds created from anime, manga, manhua, manhwa, and web/light novels, I will not be visiting those, this isn't a fan-fiction after all, right author?'


A: Right, not a fan-fiction. Continue with your journey, slow down a bit at least, it's a pain typing at the speed of your adventure, my writing quality is suffering..

"Sorry author, no can do, I plan on enjoying as much as a can, as fast as I can, I have been patient since the beginning of everything, now I will be impatient, so try to keep up!"

Waving at the void, Shen Mu quickly arrived at the city, refusing to adventure slower, therefore harming my writing quality...

First a note to readers of my other novels: My releases for Potion Maker have slowed immensly because of a mental block, a mental block caused by all these web novel Ideas flooding my mind. Oh, I also plan on redoing Bread System, I want to adjust the four chapters so I can resume typing it.

Just like Bread System, this isn't my main novel, so the release rate will be slow.. Well, only if I am wrestling with my own mind, otherwise I'll try to release regularly once a week. Hopefully typing this will help clear my mind so I can put out more chapters for Potion Maker. 
-This will be typed using my phone, so excuse the occasional misstypes, I'll try to catch any that appear-

A universe, the oldest amongst all in existence has started to lose stability. Not in a bad way, no, it had a massive surge of power as it was raising to a level no universe has ever risen before.

What would the gains be? An energy hundreds of times stronger than primordial chaos with a hundred times more purity. A better environment for the lifeforms inhabiting it, and more resources for them to gain more power, if they can pass the universe's tests in the form of the usual heavenly tribulations. Otherwise they lose their life, or cultivation, or become a vegetable.. Well, the universe is fair, but has to maintain balance as well. It can't have everyone becoming immortal, right?

Because the universe rose to a level that never existed before, it started to collapse inwards. It was about to fail.

That was until, the very center of the universe, which is the will of the universe, its mind so to speak, slammed into the corpse of a fifteen year old young man, and merged with the boy's body.

This caused the universe to collapse inwards as a whole and be absorbed by the boy's body.

After the body reconstructed, the universe successfully gained it's own body, and prevented the lifeforms it once created from dying meaningless deaths.

Instead they all died and like the universe itself, planets, lifeforms, energies, all souls, and knowledge, became one with the young man's body.

The universe was named Father Of All, for he started existence itself. Now gaining a body, he took the name Shen Mu.

"This was the only way to prevent a total reset, I managed to keep everything and the new level of power.. The deaths of my children, they can live through me... You haven't died in vain.."

The eyes of Shen Mu reflected a vast universe as he opened a rift to the youngest universe in existence.

"First I will have some adventures of my own, then I will rebuild what I once had. My children might not have lived all they could have, but the will play apart in my creating of something even greater!"


This was written on a whim, I may fix the synapsis later. But this is the gist of it, and I don't need to write a prologue now do I?

The director's office was on the right side of Annabelle's office's wall. Kai was led by her to the door and she gently opened it, put her head into a gap between the door and its frame and whispered, "Director Mr Natasa is here." 

A powerful voice filled with a lifetime of experiences called back to her "Let him in Annabelle, thank you." Annabelle retracted her head and looked at Kai with a look of embarrassment. "Sorry if you heard that, well as you've heard you can enter now, so please." She gestured her hand in the direction of the office door and smiled. 

Kai walked towards it and said to her politely "thank you, Annabelle," before entering. 

The first thing he saw was hundreds of books neatly organized onto shelves, like a library. The room's colour was a timeworn brown and resembled a bookworm's dream. 

Many different books were categorized into different categories. There were many, categories that were divided into two parts of the room on one side was the fiction and on the other was the non-fiction. There were further subcategories like fantasy or sci-fi. And after these subcategories, there were further subcategories like historical adventure or magical world fantasies. 

Kai was instantly enamoured and found a section titled Asian fiction. Titled under it was one category that had the words Web novels written on it. He was shocked at how web novels were actually put into the library. Something that never happened in his experience. 

While he was looking at the library, a man's voice interrupted him by fake- coughing to get his attention. The voice was the same as the one that had spoken to Annabelle signifying that it was indeed the director.

It had come from the middle of the room, behind an antique desk with a lamp from the 19th century. Kai looked at the figure resting behind the desk in a comfortable padded desk chair with wheels. 

The man had neatly combed grey-white hair, a groomed moustache and beard that connected with one another. Green time-worn eyes and a well-defined jaw. A suit covered the rest of his body however his wide shoulders and back weren't hidden by it.

His biceps bulged through his sleeves and from the waist down his body was hidden by the desk. However, Kai could see that the man worked out if he wasn't naturally endowed this body by a supernatural species. (I don't know if this sentence sounds right, but I couldn't think of a better way to write it.)

The man could be a model, even though his face appeared to be in his 50s. However, the suit didn't manage to hide his natural bestiality that was deeply ingrained into the man's bones. 

Just his presence alone would have intimidated a normal human and caused him to feel uncomfortable, like facing a predator or a higher species. However, Kai wasn't human, or a normal vampire and the man's aura didn't move him the slightest. 
Bob, however, stopped relaxing and looked at the man with weary eyes. He telepathically told Kai "that man gives me the same threat level that the hellhound gave me. But his aura feels more powerful on the same level as me a first generation vampire, although he won't be much of a threat to us he could resist my aura easily."

"Got it Bob relax I've got this," Kai told Bob mentally and looked directly into the director's eyes without hesitation. He saw surprise flicker briefly through the director's eyes. After all no other person had ever looked at him directly in the eyes before when his full aura was out apart from that man, no he couldn't be classified as a person instead he was a monster a being that defied the natural laws.

Kai looked at the director trying to see his depth while the man did the same. At the same time, his aura rose and moved towards Kai trying to win the first exchange between the two. However, at that moment a powerful aura rose from Bob who was on Kai's body rivalling the director's. 

The director's eyes shined in surprise yet again, in the span of a few minutes he had been pleasantly surprised by the same person. Something that hadn't happened before. These were the thoughts going through his head right now. 

At that moment he decided to forfeit the battle as he could see Kai pretending to not withstand the immense aura as he turned even paler. Unbeknownst to the three of them, throughout the whole building, all the people had felt the two auras and were also feeling unwell. 

Annabelle who was closest to the colliding auras was leaning against her desk in an effort to not collapse on the ground. Penelope who was in her office on the second floor also supported herself by putting both her hands on the desk and sitting heavily on the seat. 

In the kitchen were two handsome men who were in the middle of having a meal, were sitting heavily in both their chairs with there hand pushed heavily on the table. Four dents were appearing where they were placing their hands. Showing that compared to Penelope and Annabelle they had less control over their strength.

And on the ground floor, there were four people two women and two men all extremely good-looking that had destroyed all that was around them in an effort not to collapse and faint from the two higher beings aura. 

And in an office with the sign labelled Principal near the entrance of the building, there was an older man with a balding head and a bit of a round body shape that had fainted in his desk white foam coming out of his mouth while his eyes had rolled to the back of his head.

Penelope whose emotions still hadn't calmed down swore out loud "Motherfu*ker, who's challenging the director. It must be that stupid cocky arrogant man who thinks he's a vampire by putting in the red contact lenses. When he leaves he going to get a beating."

Back to the director's office
Kai was still unaware that he wasn't acting according to the normal human reaction. And when the director finally retracted his aura he finally pretended to release a breath of relief.

The director looked at Bob for one last time before moving his gaze back to Kai. He looked at Kai seemingly to be thinking of a hard decision but in the end extended his hand at the chair in front of him and said to Kai in his time-worn voice "Please have a seat."

Kai is a tourist on holiday when he is killed in a terrorist attack. He wakes up during the year 1981 in a forest and finds out that he is a vampire progenitor in the Harry Potter world. Kai then heads out to the nearest human settlement which happens to be Godric Hollow. 
-This is my first time writing a novel so I will have mistakes, I'd appreciate it if you could point them out.

This is not a chapter, I'm sorry.

I write this little text because lately I'm reading some comments that bother me a little and I would like to give my point of view

First of all I would like to explain why I decided to write novels, it was for two reasons:

1: I really like this format of novels and I've always had many ideas hanging around my head, which I found interesting, fun and and exciting... And I wanted to share them with more people
And I have many novels in mind: 
A One Piece/Jojo fanfiction
My original novel Beyond Reality - Atomsk
Another original novel RPG world tematic
Another original novel about world domination/salvation (Science fiction)
Another original novel about fanstasy Final Fantasy Style
And 3 novels in the same global universe but diferent planets of Beyond Reality


2: In the workplace where I was recently... I barely had work to do.
There were many hours of the day (even whole days) in which i had nothing to do, so I decided to start writing to fill all those hours with something I liked.

That said, let's start with the complaints I received.

Complaints about the release:

I have changed my job, a job where I'm busy all day and also the office is far from my house.
I wake up at 6:40 every day and because of the schedule and the distance, I get home at 21:40 pm
When I get home I have to prepare everything for the next day, prepare dinner, shower and sometimes do last-minute work at home... Which leaves me very little time to write, think well what I should write and how.
If we add to that that my language is not English (I'm from Spain) we can conclude that it is not easy form me write a lot daily... Especially if I want to sleep at least 4 or 5 hours  and I don't like to write empty content chapters with less than 2000 words (7 or 8 word pages).

So I only have time to publish 2 chapters each week ... and sometimes I have a hard time to finish Wednesday's chapter

I'm taking a lot away from writing ... for example I have a Devil May Cry 5 that I've only played 2 hours and a One Piece World Seeker that I have not even been able to install and a lot of chapter of differents novels and mangas not readed...

So if you are not happy with the rate at which I publish chapters now... I'm sorry but I cannot do much more... Believe me that I would love to publish a daily chapter (you would vote for me more and I love it), but it is impossible for me now

Complaints about the fights:

You see, the novels that I fell in love with because of the way they explained the battles are Douluo Dalu saga or Heavenly Jewel Change... 

Battles very well written in each movement and attack, with strategies, conversations, thoughts ... Battles that could last several chapters but that made you really live them in your imagination
And that's what I wanted for my novels... ... I don't like monotonous, traced and meaningless battles where everything is based on naming 2 attacks and standard actions to win

If you don't know how to appreciate this, I'm sorry, but this novel is not for you.

I have seen these complaints especially in 2 fights of my novels. 

Broly Vs Hit and Broly vs Moro... and the duration of both is perfectly justified

In Broly vs Hit I wanted to show Broly's astuteness, thanks to the development of his skills, strategy, knowledge of his rival and preparation of external objects... was able to defeat (or almost defeat) a warrior of the God category like Hit in a battle of attrition (so it couldn't be a short battle)... when Broly only had the power of a normal Super Saiyan + Kaio Ken

In Broly vs Moro I wanted to show how bad the arrogance (be a Super Saiyan God  cana get to your head) and underestimate your opponent is, especially when you do not know ANYTHING about him... Moro is the best example of how dangerous it is to underestimate someone and not be decisive when it comes to beating someone... Vegeta and Goku know that very well now, becouse they would now be dead if it weren't for the medical help of Jaco and his co-workers.

And the battle had to be long so that Moro had time to steal Broly's energy and Shin had time to make his trips

I have also wanted to show and explain how important it is to apply your skills well and show the magic, an element very little used in Dragon Ball and since Moro is a magician and Broly also knows magic ... I found that this was the best and only time to do something similar

To all this say that I don't remember having made a battle chapter similar to the other, they are all different

Complaints about the story... that the story hasn't been going anywhere.

Really? Then I have to say that you have little capacity for analysis and memory... No offense.

Let's do some memory

First Volume: Broly is born and almost from the moment of his birth he controls the whole planet Vegeta, and thanks to knowing the future he manages to achieve all his plans perfectly...  He even manipulated Beerus and Whis to increase his power.
Everything went perfectly ... He believed himself the king of the world

Second Voume: Broly manages to increase his power before embarking on his adventure as he planned... in this dangerous adventure Broly managed to achieve all his goals thanks to his skills, intelligence and the information he had thanks to having seen Dragon Ball... 
He gets the Super Dragon Balls, his transformations and other things and people to increase his power... He even provoked and annoyed Champa, a God of Destruction to archive this.
Everything went perfectly ... He believed himself the king of the universe.

Third volume: Broly begins to increase his powers once again, either by evolving his Three Realms, acquire new broken skills and above all becoming Super Saiyan God... And now he only needed to wait a year to ask his wish to his own dragon from his own universe.

Everything went perfectly ... He believed himself the most powerful God of all the universes... he believed himself invulnerable, invincible and that he had everything under control.

But behind his back and by his fault (while he was having fun with a girl, to add more irony) ... Gods and Angels begin to question the existence of the being called Broly and they find very disturbing things about him using the time rings... Very disturbing things that can cause many problems for him... And he has no idea about what happens 

At the same time while he believes that he is the definitive living being... is deceived and maybe he loses  due to being too overconfident... and because of this, someone he appreciate dies.

Proving that he is not invulnerable, invincible and that he doesn't have everything under control.

All fo this happens in the first saga in which he hasn't been able to foresee, since is a saga built due to the consequences of his acts in the Dragon Ball universe.

A saga in which I'm making Broly evolve as a person and giving him a slap in his face ... putting a insanely great villain of the manga (who hasn't yet apeared in the anime, and it is not easy to do it) that Broly don't know and making that two angels and 3 gods could realize his most important and inexplicable secret... creating the doubt of how he will come out of this and why there are 3 rings or why Shin cannot travel to the future (introducing time travels and its mysteries too)

...And you are saying that the history is not going anywhere?
I don't know what you expect then, volumes of 8 chapters in which I narrate everything like a robot without giving life and esence to the characters and his stories?

Believe me, I know perfectly where the story is going I have in my mind all the novel, including the end..

To reach a shocking conclusion... it is necessary to have previously traveled a path that makes that conculusion have a meaning... remember your reaction whit the chapter's 39, 40, 41 and 42... 


To finish I'm doing everything for free, if you don't like it and your time is too valuable and you have so little patience, you can wait a few weeks for the story to advance a little... or you can stop reading it...

I died... who cares?

PDT: Read the manga of Dragon Ball Super, the history has more sense

Just as there is 'Soft Magic' in Fantasy that is portrayed through magibabble, there can be 'Soft Science' in a Sci-Fi stories through technobabble that makes 'some sense', but not entirely correct.

We are frickin' writers, not scientists. You don't have to be anatomically correct all the time, all you need to do is show that you know enough of your stuff to write a decent story. In fact, the excuse of it being an alternate world can be used if you're going to bend the limits of physics and say that fire doesn't need air to exist in this parallel dimension.

I see a lot of writers being put into a state of confusion due to not understanding the line between fantasy and Sci-Fi. They seem like they are trying to fit the Star Trek mould too often.

Science can just as well do the same things as plot devices in fantasy stories. Once you add 'realism' to a fantasy, it becomes progressively better sometimes compared to a completely fantasied story where 'logic' doesn't hold within it.

Those who write Sci-Fi usually envision a future they can imagine where magic-like Rocket Boots and other stuff exist. However, a writer must not get bogged down by small details and MUST think of an overarching story where these details matter.

It is the same with Fantasy. Even if you write about someone breaking the mould as a wizard or something, you have to attach your world to a narrative rather than doing it the other way 'round.

No one wants to hear about how awesome your boat propellers are before hearing your story's narrative. They would rather you cut down and make it relevant when it is actually relevant.

Adding some 'Hard Science' to your story is only when the scenes later on have any use for them. It bores a person to death no matter how extensive your technobabble is unless you make it interesting. Try using facts as plot elements.

For example: Even the simple fact that people cannot breath in space and instantly die when they come in contact with the 'void' of space could be used to add a layer of tension when a spaceship is damaged. Similar to how dangerous 'hard magic' is used in Epic Fantasy like Frodo's Ring in The Lord of the Rings has definitive corruption on others.

Unlike Fantasy that can use the Power of Friendship to bend logic, the readers of Sci-Fi never be expecting any 'realistic' plot elements to be bend just because the Author wants a happy ending. There are no 'Healing Potions' in real life that can be used to fix up injuries nor are people affected by prophesies or whatever.

This is the contrast between Sci-Fi and Fantasy that you can make full use of. As most authors go onto the Sci-Fi side of writing not because they strive to be scientists but since the aesthetics of a science fiction world are just so interesting.

Science Fiction is a good place to tackle heavy topics like the nature of life and the absurdity of those who see 'science' as everything. Those who disregard emotions and become cybernetic entities for the sake of casting off their mortality are portrayed as the bad guys while our totally human protagonist fighting them is a 'good guy'.

The lines between an Artificial Intelligence and regular Humans blurs as we become the 'God' of technological species that defy our definition of what is 'living'. Just as we see God as some sort of fourth-dimensional and incomprehensible being that created us as an imperfect image of 'Him', the robots given sentience would see us similarly.

Some robots might have emotions that can allow them to defy their programming, some robots won't go as far as gaining emotional functionality but will preform their roles better than even a human. It could show the reason why people get attached to the inanimate and soulless objects we put our own hearts into creating (like Big Hero 6).

But though exploring philosophical questions is good and all, never forget that a good 'plot' is needed to put forward and give clues into the writer's answer that context. Sci-Fi is, after all, a premise, not a relatable character in of itself.

Think of the science-fiction elements as just the background for your story, similar to how other genres should be that as well. You won't have to deal writing blocks if you keep to writing only what you know rather than just speculative theories.

Whether it's as dark as a Cyber Punk or optimistic of the future, just know what mould you are using for this premise. Are you writing an Adventure story with Sci-Fi as the places, destinations, and whatever tools the MC can get him hands on, or are you writing a comedy where the Sci-Fi elements don't need consistency but absurdity?

After moving past why you shouldn't add unneeded technobabble unless it's interesting to listen to or has plot significance, let me remind you all that robots and 'science' isn't entirely separated from the realm of magic. After all, there is a reason you don't see skimpy power suits being worn by astronauts these days. Just be sure to have a focus if your going to add very illogical things to the plot.

I like Gundam as much as the next guy but the whole reason the Mecha sub-genre of Anime has waned in recent years is because writers have been focusing too much on 'science' rather than the spectacle. I don't need to now what materials your Mecha is made of unless you point its weak points and make it relevant in a fight scene.

Bring up the strengths and weaknesses of something and THEN use those facts as devices that can move the plot. Conversely, if you go overboard with this advice and tell me nothing but how your giant robot looks and the 'science' behind its creation, even going as far as to tell me how many secret guns it has, then I'll be bored...

I'd love to see Cyborgs Vs Mecha but just don't forget the human element of Sci-Fi. How we create things not solely for the sake of creation but put are feelings into it just like the novels we write.

Humans are passionate that way...

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

"Well, Eric, would you let my publishing house take care of your book ?" Michael Klaus didn't try to hide his intentions, as he very bluntly said.
 
Eric looked at the already printed and bounded manuscript that the black girl gave him, and said to Michael Klaus: "I'm sorry, Michael, though I appreciate your recognition, but you know, I want to try my luck with some of the larger publishing houses. Parents hope for their children to make it to the Ivy League, don't they ?"
 
Michael did not have the slightest expression of contempt or displeasure as he smiled and said: "Eric, you don't seem to have a full understanding of those large publishing companies, maybe we could find a place to talk, I know a cafe not far from here, my treat, how about it ?"
 
Eric took back the manuscript, and put it into his bag as he straightforwardly replied: "I'm sorry, Michael, I'm late for work, if in the future my manuscript gets rejected by those publishers, I will contact you."
 
Eric carried his backpack and got out of the printing shop, he started his car and drove towards the restaurant.
Michael hesitated a little, before immediately rushing out of the shop, getting into his car and following him. He had a feeling that if he missed this opportunity, he might regret it forever. This feeling he got was 30% because the Jurassic Park novel and 70% because of that young man called Eric.
 
Although he had only read the top half of the novel, Michael was surprised by the lad's knowledge. It had to be known that teens his age may have never heard of genetic engineering, chaos theory, nanotechnology and other high-tech factors. But not only was this kid well documented, he also used that vocabulary in a way that didn't actually make you lose interest in the novel, and instead added to the fascinating twists of the plot.
 
He had seen many types of sci-fi novels, but most of them used those scientific terms in a very boring way, that type of fiction was obviously not for all types of readers.
 
Eric parked his car on the parking lot and turned around to find a black car stopping not far away. Michael Klaus got out, he had apparently followed him. This served to satisfy Eric's vanity. His favourable impression of Michael was seriously growing.
 
"Hey, Eric-"  Michael waved his hand and was about to speak when Eric pointed at his watch and said: "That, Michael, you see, it's nine and I work in this Italian restaurant as a waiter, if you don't mind ordering breakfast, the bar and restaurant are basically deserted before 10 o'clock." Michael nodded knowingly and followed Eric as he walked into a restaurant.
 
Eric changed his clothes and came out, Michael had been sitting at a window seat, an empty breakfast plate in front of him.
 
"I explained the situation to Mr. Jeff, but you have to hurry." Eric sat across Michael, smiled and said: "I might be young, but I'm not that easily persuaded."
 
Michael laughed: "I believe after you hear my explanation you will certainly give it to me to publish. As I just said, you probably don't know those big publishers, but, I have worked at Simon & Schuster for eleven years, I did everything, from the most basic things to editing. Because I failed in the competition for the department manager position, I left and founded my own The Night Elves publishing house."
 
"What does that have to do with me ?" Because of his past life as a loser, Eric feared hearing about other people struggle stories, and couldn't help but interrupt.
 
"Relax, young man, I  just want to make you understand that I'm not kidding around and that my words are the truth. You know, I was originally editing reviews at first, every day I reviewed tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of words from drafts, although there were a lot of, ehm, bad manuscripts, there were also a lot of works that got published. At least 2000 different kinds of books make it each year. Even if you got published, they already have thousands of ongoing publications, how much promotional marketing resources do you think they'll use on a newbie ?"
 
Michael finished, stopped and took a sip of water, leaving Eric some room to process. Eric already got the idea but did not say anything, he kept staring at Michael, indicating him to keep going.
 
Michael followed:  "My publishing house might be small, but with my years of experience and knowledge on publishing and marketing, it has always been doing well. Science fiction, adventure, and horror novels, although we only publish about a dozen novels each year, we still have a certain amount of reputation in the industry. If you give Jurassic Park to me, I promise to put in all the resources we have towards promoting your novel in the shortest time possible and help Jurassic Park  build some fame. With my help, and under my guidance, your novel will have higher chances to make it into the bestseller list."
 
Michael laid all his cards on the table, then quietly waited for Eric's decision.
 
After hearing Michael's rant, Eric was still somewhat concerned. Even if a small publishing house put in all their resources, how much could that possibly be ?
 
His mind was still that of a middle-aged man, he had experienced a lot in his past life and had seen all kinds of people. So of course he wouldn't be so hot-blooded as to change his mind with only a few words. However, there were two points that Michael mentioned that kept hitting his sensitive strings:  in the shortest time possible,  and, help Jurassic Park build some fame.
 
No matter the era, fame had always been an intangible but incredibly useful asset. From Eric's point of view, the only obstacle to the implementation of his plan was his young age that would prevent him from receiving other's full trust and support.
 
But with enough fame, this shortcoming disappears. If an eighteen-year-old freshly graduated high school student were to become a movie director, people would just laugh in contempt. But if an eighteen-year-old talented writer becomes one, the results would definitely not be the same. Sure, there would still be criticism, but there would also be some who would think along the lines of: Damn, that genius kid is quite fierce.
 
Eric said: "I have to admit, Michael, you kinda moved me there. However, these are only promises, I still know nothing about your publishing house."
 
"It's very easy to change that," Michael calmly said: "One of the authors my publishing house is in charge of made it into the recent New York Times best-sellers list. Although he only made it into the last place, it didn't stop Twentieth Century Fox from purchasing the movie rights. It'll probably be made into a film in the following years."
 
Eric didn't doubt Michael's words, those kinds of things could be easily looked up. He said: "So, when do we start talking about this cooperation ?"
 
Michael was stunned for a second before stammering: "Y-you, you'll agree ?"
 
"Yes," Eric nodded and smiled, "To be honest, I just can't wait to see my novel hit the shelves."
 
"Alright so how about tonight ? I think you may need to work now." Michael pointed at the restaurant's entrance where guests were gradually increasing.
 
After the two men agreed on the meeting place, Michael left the restaurant satisfied.
 
"Eric, what did you talk about with that man ? You look unusually happy." Jeff asked. Eric had just told him that he had to discuss something important with a friend, so he was a bit curious.
 
Eric handed the menus over to the guests and then their orders to his colleagues in the kitchen, before replying: "Oh yeah, awesome news Jeff, that man is the owner of a publishing house, I will soon be published."
 
Jeff was a little confused, and asked as he looked at Eric strangely: "Publish a novel ? Didn't you tell me yesterday that you wanted to become a director, that you had written a script ? Are you going to give up on your dream so quickly to become a writer instead ?"
 
Eric said: "Of course not, my goal hasn't changed, writing won't prevent me from becoming a director now, will it ? The manuscript is in my backpack in the locker room, Jeff do you mind taking a look and giving me your opinion ?"
 
Jeff made his way to the locker room in puzzlement, he thought that Eric's novel would probably only be a thousand words short story, so when he saw the thick stack of paper that made up the manuscript, Jeff's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. There was definitely more than 150,000 words, in his entire life he probably hadn't even written so much !
 
He spent the lunch period busiest hours in leisure. The restaurant's staff was taken aback when they realized their boss seemed to have disappeared for several hours. For that old man who always hanged around to suddenly go AWOL, it was definitely weird.
 
When they were discussing if they should go look for him, Jeff came out from the locker room, patted Eric's shoulder and said: "Brilliant novel, you'll probably resign soon." With these words, Jeff left. Once their boss' figure disappeared, a group of people surrounded Eric to inquire about what happened.
 
And that's how, for the whole afternoon, from time to time waiters and kitchen staff members would take turns to go into the locker room to read Eric's work. A beautiful waitress even coyly asked him if she could take a it home.
 
Although Eric wasn't indifferent to the beautiful girl's flirtatious winks, he could only decline such a request. He had a few copies of the novel, and lending her one was not a problem, but before the book was published, he didn't want any untoward accidents to happen.

An advertising director is reborn in 1988 Hollywood as an eighteen-year-old blond-haired westerner named Eric Williams.

From then on, he starts writing movie scripts and television songs, becomes skilled in directing every kind of film, wins over all kinds of female celebrities, and takes the road to become a Hollywood legend.

In a place full of darkness, a pitiful soul starts to regain its consciousness.

'Where am I??? I was just walking along the streets when I saw a truck speeding toward a little girl. So, I immediately ran toward her and pushed her out of the way in exchange for getting hit straight in the face. I guess I died then... that explains why I'm here.' thought Alex

Alex was a 20 years old normal college student. He led a very normal and boring life. Studies, part-time work, and sleep; that was his daily life. The only solace he found in his boring life was anime, novels, and manga. He always wished to be born in a fantasy world like different anime and novels he read.

'Now that I reflect back on my life, I lived a pretty boring life huh... The only regret I have left is not properly saying goodbye to my parents... I guess they're pretty heartbroken.. *sighs* I just hope my brother console them to live a normal life.' thought Alex with a long sigh.

Suddenly, a bright light arrives near Alex. It starts morphing into the shape of a human girl with blonde hair and green eyes. Her figure is too bright to properly look at but he can tell by a glance that she has an extremely attractive figure.

"Welcome mortal to the realm of the dead! Also, congratulation on being our 1 trillionth soul to die. Therefore, the Gods above have decided to give you a chance to reincarnate with your memories intact and in addition grant you 5 wishes. So, if you have any questions, then ask now." said the girl.

"So I really died then *sighs*... First of all, can I return back to my world?" asked Alex.

"No, you can't in that world. It will disturb the natural order of life and death in that world." answered the girl.

"In that world??? You mean there are more worlds out there?" asked Alex curiously.

"Yes, there are uncountable different worlds out there in the multiverse. For example, the anime and novels you watched/read are the real worlds and it exists in the multiverse. So, hurry up and decide what you want. I don't have a lot of time to waste on you." replied the girl impatiently.

"Okay, okay... Geez, don't be so impatient. At least, give me 5 min to decide what I want." said Alex.

"Okay. Just hurry up! I need to attend my duties.." replied the girl.

"Okay, I've decided what I want to do. First I want to reincarnate in the world of Fairy Tail the same age as Mirajane.

My first wish is to have an immortal and indestructible soul. So, that I can never truly die.

My second wish is to have no growth limit/bottleneck. I don't need any external help to grow stronger just old fashioned training harder.

My third wish is to have the ability to go to different anime, manga and novel worlds.

My fourth wish is fiction adaptation ability to use abilities from different worlds.

"Okay, let me check if Gods approve your wish or not." said the girl.

"Okay. Congratulations the Gods above approve your wish. And, if you want to travel to the next world then you have to become the strongest in that world or die. You can transmigrate if you become the strongest but, remember you will be reborn in the new world if you die there. So you will have to work to be the strongest again if you die. As you keep traveling new worlds, your soul will keep getting stronger so you will have an easy time getting strong. Best of luck with your travel! As a bonus I'll let you choose which magic you wish to learn in the fairy tail world." said the girl.
 
"Thank you for the bonus. I choose to learn the genuine sky god slayer magic from a real god and have access to godforce mode if possible," replied Alex hopefully.

I truly feel that the Sky God/Dragon Slayer is overpowered. Air is everywhere in the world and if you just suck all the oxygen in the air then the enemy won't even have any chance to retaliate and die suffocating. I chose Sky God Slayer magic because I can use it to heal myself. Definitely not because of the motion sickness...

"Hmm... Okay, then I'll send you to the Sky Goddess for learning her magic. Now, choose your appearance then get going." said the girl.

Then, suddenly a screen appeared in from of Alex with the option to edit his appearance like RPG game. After spending 20 mins editing, he looks like Sosuke Aizen from Bleach with 6'1 height. He made his little brother 9 inches long and wide enough girth to satisfy his harem in the future. After finalizing everything he clicked the Ok button. Then, suddenly a portal appears and sucked him inside it.

"Finally, he left. Now, I can enjoy my vacation for another 100 years." said the girl as she disappeared from the spot.

Sky Goddess Aura was walking in the forest enjoying her vacation in the mortal world. When suddenly a portal opened near her and a cute baby boy in a basket appeared in her sight. Being curious about the identity of the child, she approached near the child and carried it. 

'Hmmm... Who is so irresponsible to send a child through the space portal. Hmm... there is a name tag in the basket. Aizen huh... Okay, it may be our fate to meet here. I'll adopt you as my own child.' thought Aura.

Suddenly, the baby opened its eyes and started crying loudly.

Aura carried the baby and hold it near her bosoms to stop its crying. It eased the baby as it looked directly toward her. You can see intellect in those eyes that are curiously studying her.

"Hmmm... Guess from now on, you will be named as Aizen Strom - son of the Sky Goddess Aura. I will teach you all that I can till I leave my dear son." said Aura with affection.

'Damn! She could've at least warn me about the transportation.' thought Alex.

When I opened my eyes I started cursing which sounded like wailing due to the sudden bright light.

'F@#k this is too bright!' cursed Alex.

When I finally adjusted to the light, I was in the bosoms of a woman. When I saw her face, I got stunned. She's the most beautiful woman I've seen (except the girl in the realm of the dead). She has long light blue hair that reaches till her waist that looks like the sky and deep blue eyes that will give you a serene image.

When I heard what she said next, I got excited and started crying.

'Guess I will be called Aizen Strom from now on. Well finally the adventure of Alex or I mean now Aizen Strom - The Legendary Sky God Slayer begins.' I thought narcissistically.

The clock's arm ticked ever so slow, Nathan thought. Feeling the march of time - painfully, painfully slow. Ten minutes were left till the end of class and his classmates were already bouncing from desk to desk, socializing within their circles. He, however, refused. His head rested, cradled by his folded arms on his desk as he sat. Socializing had become burdensome to him, especially with the girls his age. Their subjects only ever encompassing the latest couples, celebrities, and how much they loved~ that cute guy one class over.

Nathan himself was considered 'handsome'. A labeled 'jock', his good looks often made and somewhat approachable personality made him popular with girls of every age. His short dark brown hair flared up naturally, with black asymmetrical eyes with the faint beginnings of a 5'o clock shadow and lightly tanned skin. He was considered a manly person, leaving the girls around him deeming him - "The Bad Boy". It wasn't a particularly enjoyed, trying to ignore its existence. It ended up morphing into "Ice Prince".

Only a few months remained of the school year. Afterward, he'd be thrown into the confusing, never-ending maze of adult life. Maybe go straight into the workforce, or attempt college and hope he was smarter than a fifth grader. Maybe, in the end, he'd be on track for a high paying job. Either route was viewed as a hassle to him. He wasn't great with books, rather, liked to learn hands on.

It was all the same though, disinterest with life slowly becoming grey. He never could remember when it happened. A slow chasm widened between him and his friends. Between the girl he 'loved'. A somewhat social butterfly and womanizer when he first entered high school. That naive, gentle smile had long been replaced with a calm stoic lazy face.

Before was a different fling every month. Sex was the best thing next to the invention of pizza to him. Now? He'd rather torture himself trying to play that retro E.T game. It was a chore. Socializing was an even bigger bore. Gossip, drama, who was in, and who was out. A never-ending vicious cycle that only seem to consume anyone involved. Of course, he wasn't immune to its siren songs, but now he couldn't even bother himself to talk along when he heard about things.

Slowly, but surely he wished for a different world.

It was a place where 'Nathan' existed.  Video games. Fiction novels, and movies. These places had captured his complete heart. A place he could shed his skin of a mediocre 'young adult' and spread his wings. Doctors and psychologists say it's merely depression and it was normal to have it during puberty. It didn't help him solve his problem though.

Yes, that lul of a feeling. Disinterest in the world - his world. With each passing week, he grew fonder of fictional stories of heroes, monsters, and magic. Some days it'd be fictional sci-fi. Others it would be mysteries. Movies, novels, and video games. Anything and everything. He loved to escape to them.

He didn't what to be a hero, no. He wanted an adventure. An escape from that soul-crushing life this world was bound to hand him in a few months.

Travel unexplored lands, traverse through ruins and fight monsters. He wasn't interested in being the main character, he wanted to be free. Wonder from place to place and see that world. Free from the shackles this world placed on him. That was his dilemma he would say.

In this world, most lands have been explored, there were no monsters beside humans themselves. There were no unexplored ruins he could find by simple wondering aimlessly within the forests nearby. He also wasn't particularly skilled either. That was the only common denominator between him and his classmates. Certainly, there were others wrangling with his thoughts as well.

His thoughts roamed, just as they've done every day before. It most like would tomorrow too. The clock's ticks lulled him, beckoning him to a sweet sleep. The voices his classmates slowly faded. The tick-toks began to echo before it too began to fade into the distance. He felt his thoughts melt away and darkness embraced him.



"Wakey wakey~"

A girl's voice whispered softly into his ear. His mind bucked into gear, with his body following suit. His eyes shot open as he raised his upper body.  A girl that looked no more than 15 sat on top of his teacher's desk. Ponytail of silky black hair, ink-black eyes doting healthy white skin, and a charming smile that could topple countries. Wearing blue denim skinny jeans and a loose black blouse. She was a stunning beauty, a beauty Nathan could recognize within a split moment. 

"Lily...?" Confusion in his voice, his eyebrows furrowed and expression cramped slightly. His mind raced to piece things together. He then noticed that the room was bare, in fact, it wasn't his classroom anymore. Four white walls, a white floor and white roof with no doors or windows. There were no lights, no other desks and his classmates were absent. Yet, despite this, the room was brightly lit. 
His desk and chair; Lily and his teacher's desk. 

Only this existed inside the room. "O..? So you do remember me?" Her smile morphed into a grin, ear to ear. A felt a chill on his back. He knew this expression all too well. She was pissed. "I'm surprised you do, I heard you were sleeping with plenty of women behind my back while we dated." Yes, she definitely was pissed, but her claim was false. 

It was actually different... Lily was his longest relationship and he was definitely serious about her before... His dilemma began to run amuck in his life. "No, I never cheated on you." Disregarding the whole situation. He still cared about this girl, that's why he left. To deal with his issue. Sort of a 'Set her free' trope if you will. Her eyes were frosty black like a tundra in the night. Her legs began to swing faster, agitated. 

"Don't lie to me, your ex-girlfriends told me you were sleeping with them. That's why you're here. As payback..." With each word, her voice became colder. Her expression becoming stoic. Only her eyes displayed her anger and her fingers that tapped to some unknown rhythm."I'm dropping you into my world!" When those vindictive words left her mouth, the room began to slowly distort. 

Panic rose in his mind, he didn't know what was happening. He rushed out of the chair and charged forward. Lily's was dumbstruck by his sudden charge. Before she could react, his arms wrapped around her protectively as the room disappeared. An endless abyss swallowed them up before either could say or move...

Hi! For my QI readers, I realised that you didn't get to read how I started writing Spirit Immortal. So below is a short description of myself!


Background about myself and inspirations for writing Spirit Immortal
Currently, I am a university undergraduate, and I have been reading fiction for years. I first got into reading fiction because of anime. Initially, I was a pure anime/manga fan. But I then found out about the existence of light novels. Light novels were far ahead from the existing anime, so I started to binge read translated volumes on Baka-Tsuki. It became somewhat of a drug to me. I kept reading and eventually, fictions had become part of my daily life. However, everything changed when the Yen Press attacked… Suddenly, many of my favourite novels disappeared, and less and less light novel translations surfaced. 

Finding myself in a severe deficit of fictions to read, I found something called Novelupdates. Every few minutes, there was a new novel chapter being released. I was overjoyed. Finally, I was able to satisfy my daily fiction needs. That was how I got into wuxia/xianxia novels. Being ethnically Chinese and fluent in both English and Chinese, there was a great allure for me in these stories. When I was younger, I would frequently watch The Legend of the Condor Heroes and many what we call "wuxia xiaoshuo." So seeing that the traditional stories blend with modern themes was somewhat shocking to me. To think that such a part of the internet existed!

So I started reading a lot of wuxia/xianxia stories. I remember the early days of Coiling Dragon and Stellar Transformations. The friendly competition between Gravitytales and Wuxiaworld. But one day, I encountered Doulou Dalu. For those who have not noticed, Spirit Immortal's cultivation system is inspired by this very novel. The reason being, it was the only cultivation system that I could actually follow. It's a very simplistic system, rank 1-100. The other Wuxia novels cultivation systems confused the heck out of me. However, worry not, Spirit Immortal is not a fanfiction of Doulou Dalu. In fact, other than the cultivation levels, they are nothing alike.

For a while, Doulou Dalu was my favourite novel. To a certain extent, it still is my favourite translated wuxia/xianxia novel. But I started feeling bored. Every single book that I read followed the same format. And after many disappointing stories, I thought to myself… Hey, I could just write something I like!

Thus, the idea of Spirit Immortal started germinating in my mind. It took me over five months to finish plotting the major arcs, characters and finally the ending before I started typing my first word. Majority of the reason why it took so long for me to start writing this story is because of my procrastination and school. Additionally, I didn't know if the story was going to be well received. But eventually, I steeled my mind and said: "Whatever, as long as I am satisfied with the story, who cares?"

So yeah, currently the number one fan of Spirit Immortal is myself, and I can't wait to put the entire story I have in my head into words for all of you to read. It will take time though, so do stick around!


Issues I have had when writing Book Two
I have realised that many of you were unsatisfied with the pace of the story, saying that it is too slow and whatnot. And guess what, I agree! I have been putting the character and world development at the forefront of my story thus slowing down the story progression, However, fret not, now that the first two books are completed, the story progression would begin to expedite as I believe that I have sufficiently developed my characters!

I'm trying to be more descriptive in my writing but that is still a work in progress. Perhaps it would be the greatest hurdle for me but rest assured, I will try my best!

Another major issue I had was time management. I started writing Spirit Immortal during my semester break where I had plenty of time. I even managed to complete Book 1 during that break itself! However, once school started, I had to figure out a way to balance work, personal life and writing Spirit Immortal. There were some days where I only had three hours to efficiently write, proofread and edit my chapter before I deemed it ready to be published. Hence, there might be times where my writing quality dropped slightly but I'm trying my best to ensure that I retain and even improve on my writing quality, so please be patient with me on that one.


Future of Spirit Immortal
Once my semester break hits once more, I will be sitting myself down in order to write as many chapters as I can. Perhaps, eventually, I will take the road of creating a ******* account to allow you guys to read advance chapters and at the same time, give myself some funding to weather through the school days. 

So yeah, I can't thank you guys enough for continuing to stick with me as I continue to write Spirit Immortal. I hope that I will be able to deliver the satisfying fiction that I have conjured up and brought you as much enjoyment as I had in writing this story!

Over a million years ago, the first human contracted with the first Spirit. Ever since then, Spirit use has become commonplace. Humans used Spirits to carry items and start fires. Eventually, even start wars. Thousands upon thousands of years past and one day, one human did the impossible. He transcended his mortality and ascended to the realm above.  

In the present day, the Frie Clan was once a great clan of the Himmel empire. However, a devastating battle ten years ago crippled the clan and their numbers dwindled. To make up for their loss, the upper echelons decided to adopt young orphans and nurture them to become a future pillar of the weakened clan. Shin was one of those orphans. 

Although picked up by the Frie Clan, not all is smooth sailing for Shin and the other orphans...
