Sullivan Blackwood is the illegitimate prince of the Ryuxan Kingdom. His terrible fate was decided and locked when the King brought him to the palace.
He grew up loveless and was constantly bullied by other princes and their friends. The Queen would torture him if he ever desired the same things as them. Sullivan gulped every drop of humiliation he faced as he decided to destroy the family where he could never find love and become the next King.
When the Duke's daughter, Dahlia Ermacora, suddenly proposed to him, he was puzzled at first. However, he readily accepted her proposal and married Dahlia.
"You made a mistake, Dahlia. You will die in the end because I have my selfish motives," Sullivan whispered in her ear after taking the final vow.

"Should I listen to see if your heart beats for me?" Sullivan asked in his dangerously low voice.
"Huh?" Dahlia froze, her cheeks flushing a deep crimson red. "N-no," she stammered, shaking her head.
"Why not? You listened to mine without hesitation," Sullivan saidm
"I won't do it again," Dahlia replied quickly.
"That's unfair, Lia. You can touch me whenever you want, but I can't do the same? Seems a bit one-sided, don't you think?" he whispered now his lips moved dangerously close to hers.
And then, Sullivan lowered his head, he tilted it and rested his side face over her chest, which started pounding like a drum.
Sullivan's pupils enlarged, his fingers moving up slightly up to open her closed ones. Dahlia's brain froze, her body involuntarily reacted and her fingers opened slowly.
Sullivan intertwined their fingers as he kept hearing the loud beats of her heart.
SHE WAS INDEED IN LOVE WITH HIM.
