"It's enough," Dahlia finally said, her voice trembling as their hands remained linked.

Sullivan pulled back and met her gaze. "Your heartbeat is quite unusual. You might want to have it checked by a physician," he said with a teasing smile.

He then sat up, running his fingers through his hair. "I'm hungry now," he added before walking out of the room, leaving Dahlia in a state of stunned silence.

"He said nothing!" Dahlia exclaimed, placing her hands over her chest as her heart raced uncontrollably. She couldn't deny it any longer—she did have feelings for him. She had always liked Sullivan, even before entering this timeline.

Dahlia walked into the dining room and took her seat opposite Sullivan, who had already begun his meal. She stole glances at him, hoping he would say something about their earlier interaction, but he remained as indifferent as ever, seemingly unmoved by her erratic heartbeat.
