Zusammenfassung
Conrad barely scraped through high school, his grades too low for college and his future seemingly set in stone. With not much to lose, he turned to what he knew best, pickpocketing, a skill he’d honed since childhood.
But a routine heist gone catastrophically wrong, dragged him into the hidden world of assassins and mystical cards.
Marked by the enigmatic Arcane Master, The Devil, Conrad is blackmailed into becoming a pawn in a larger, blood-soaked game.
As secrets unfold and his own power grows, Conrad must decide: follow the cards, or break the hand fate dealt him.

Schreiben Sie eine RezensionThis story is really good. I like how u jump from different perspectives which is uncommon in a lot of Novels. Love your power system and I really like ur main character Conrad and I can’t wait to see his development
Let's see if we can give an honest review without including the dark stuff. A world of magic often tries to hook readers in, and this one has that same potential. Story's also fast when it comes to Conrad's actions. As strange as this might seem, Luxe may have been written better than the rest. Of course, that doesn't mean that all the other characters don't have solid personalities. For a fantasy novel, it's not as bad as some of the more mundane ones I've read.
The hints of world background that we get are paint a picture of a mildly dystopian world and I really like where this is going Characters feel real, if irritating sometimes (but that's part of what makes them feel real!) and the designs are varied and interesting. None of the names feel out of place considering the setting Story is going places. This shit bangs Writing quality. It's pretty good, but the formatting makes me feel funky, like the underscores on either side of text to indicate thoughts? Not the greatest fan, but I'm probably gonna keep reading this. Overall? It's fire, go give it a try
The story is interesting I like how it progresses, you could fair well with more character development or effort towards pacing and characters that are easier to relate to. It's hard to get really into it, but it's not bad. I like it and if anyone is a fan of weak-strong progression, I would assume they'd like it
Engaging story, Connie's life as a pickpocket and his interactions with his family. The writing is lively and immersive, with a good balance between action, dialogue and introspection. Connie's character is well fleshed out. The supporting characters are well developed and add depth to the story. The main story begins with Luxe arriving and claiming that something was stolen from him.
The plot seems interesting and it would be even better if sight adjustments were made. Overall I believe the story has potential. Although the Mc might need a bit work.
What mostly drew me to this novel was its power system. I loved to watch Yugioh growing up so I have this fetish when it comes to card related powers in fiction. This one delivers right on that. I really love the fact it isnt just focused on the cards on being the sole power system but has additional others which stem from it. Main characters is fun especially in the first chapter but becomes more serious as the story progresses. I sense an edge lord on the horizon. FL is aight I guess , I really don't know how to describe her. Lastly I love the writing style. Other authors are trying to be Shakespear. Simplicity is best
Its an interesting read. Interesting power system. The character introduction is good, its an immersive read for me. Good work Author.
Its good one, really piqued my interest in those- 'Arcana Cards'. World building is good 👍 and everything else is also fine.
I felt like i was watching a good movie. knowing that this is a novel. I love the story so much that I felt empathy for Connie that he had to pickpocket since he was in school. Keep up the good work Author and never give up.
This is a promising start to what feels like a gritty, character-driven urban fantasy. Connie’s personality shines through as a flawed but likable protagonist, and the world hints at fascinating depths waiting to be explored. With its strong blend of humor, introspection, and mystery, the story sets a solid foundation for future chapters. The deck of cards, in particular, is a captivating element that promises exciting developments ahead. Readers looking for a mix of urban realism and supernatural intrigue will find much to enjoy here!
It is good after all. Quite enjoy reading it. Eventhough quite confusing at first, just read it.
Arcanas is a breathtakingly beautiful novel that has left an indelible mark on my soul. The author's lyrical prose is akin to poetry, painting vivid images that transported me to a world of depth and emotion. The characters are masterfully crafted, each one a complex tapestry of hopes, fears, and dreams. I found myself invested in their journeys, cheering them on, and mourning their struggles. What struck me most was the novel's ability to balance light and darkness, hope and despair. The author's deft touch infused even the most poignant moments with a sense of warmth and redemption.

Hey author here. I just want to let you readers know that there are going to be some inconsistences in the begin phases of the novel. Some things may not add up or characters might feel being underused. But I will answer any questions you might have about the story
