Synopsis
{Check out my new novel, I Won't Forgive You!}
'Born In Ruins' was a forgettable read.
That was the only way Emir could describe the pages of the novel he had found himself reincarnated into.
The young man barely knew anything, but the snippets he had recalled only caused him unending sorrow...
As what awaited him was only tragedy and an early death.
It was a depressing story, one that he had planned to flip on its head—all for his salvation.
—
In this post-apocalyptic world, monsters fought humans and cyborgs in a battle for survival on a scale greater than ever before.
A world where innocence and death were a luxury, where the line between heroes and villains was razor-thin.
Within its expanse, 'Ancient Clans,' 'Galactic Federations,' 'Factions', and 'Corporations' presided over colossal 'Ruins' that dwarfed the concept of life itself.
Survivors of the 'Third World War' continuously dove into the 'Old World,' 'Hunting' for 'Relics' in any ruin that they could find on Earth, desperate to reclaim 'Lost' technology, to stand a fighting chance against the inevitable.
But it appeared that 'Earthkind' had met their match.
…However, Emir would never allow that fate to take its course.
—
Emir unraveled layers of the tale and realized the truth of the world.
He acquainted himself with the rules of this game before it fully consumed him.
And now... no longer content with mere survival, he sought to dominate over the very fabric of this unforgiving universe.
Emir shall rise from the pawn he once was, seeking to unravel the mysteries that hounded him.
The boundaries of 'Aether,' his father’s disappearance, the noose hanging above his family’s head, and of course… his starless destiny, a fate he longed to control.
This pursuit would earn him the epithet:
"Prince Of The Fallen."

*Expect this novel to start slowly; it begins ramping up at the halfway point of volume 1.
*The Magic System is introduced at the end of volume 1, read my review and Auxiliary chapter for more on that.
*Warning: The main characters have emotions like proper humans. So don't expect your usual emo kid as the MC and come complaining later.

Write a reviewHonestly, a great read that keeps you captivated. I won't delve into any spoilers, but it's gives a nice fresh of breath air into the apocalypse and "isakai" genre (from what I've read do far).Progression is satisfying as the MC doesn't abide by clichès and continues to surprise.👌🤌🤌The interactions seem realistic enough without being a bore.Anyway, just read a chapter or two and have a look for yourself. For the author:Keep up the good work Mate! 👍
Usually I like to leave a review when I have finished a story but that’s because I usually only read completed works. But this one grabbed me from the start as I was looking for stories to add to my library, and I have been savouring reading it each day. The writing quality is flawless so far. The author is particularly talented with building creepy suspense and most notably, writing excellent fight scenes. The MC, Emir is a complex young man who has all the memories of his previous life as he is ‘reborn’ into the host body of a baby of a widowed single mother in a futuristic Earth. But for Emir, there’s no gentle curve of development because his mind also has an AI present who will ruthlessly train him in battle before he can even walk. And so his story begins as he is shaped into becoming the perfect weapon. Only this weapon isn’t easily controlled. As I mentioned, Emir is complex. He is cold, untrusting, calculated, ruthless, and a little crazy. He has a relentless drive that doesn’t back down, and as he grows up it makes him an uncomfortable presence and a seriously underestimated one. But, his little family keep him grounded with bonds of family and he has strong ties to them that you can see make him a warmer and more relatable young man. Their warmth and Emir’s love for them have made him more than a detached killing machine. They make him unpredictable and someone who won’t be controlled. The world background is futuristic and has a dystopian feeling. There are planets beyond Earth and the author drops hints about their importance, but the story begins on our world in a centuries old post apocalyptic setting. The world beyond protected cities is full of mutated monsters to kill, ancient ruins full of traps and treasure to plunder, as well as rogue humans waiting to kill the underprepared. The world within cities is a mix of majestic academies, guilds, businesses, slums, and control. And one thing I think that I love most about this story so far is that Emir is always venturing into new areas, fighting new foes, solving new puzzles, and revelling in each challenge. And each step he takes makes you realise that you didn’t know anything, and that for Emir to stay ahead of those who want him under their control, he will have to become the most dangerous being not just here on Earth, but beyond. As for me, I am hugging his thighs and happily going along for the ride.
Reveal SpoilerI've been stuck on this book's early chapters for a quite long time already. And i think now is the time for us to part ways. The pros : - The mc's backstory is unknown yet he is likeable and understandable on a certain level. - The world is original. - Some might like the rather slow pace . - The mc's reaction to his reincarnation is really realistic . - A promising plot slowly unravels . - The author 's writing quality is above average( the style is not very eye-catching but it manages to keep you intrigued and there aren't many mistakes ( if any) ). - I don't know the chapters' lenght , but i can tell it must be longer than your average 1000 words on webnovel. The cons : - The characters are bland. The Mc is likeable yet somehow , he is uninteresting enough. If i'm being honest , i simply don't care enough about him , even though i know him( i've read 23 chapters already). I think this comes from two facts : First , the Mc doesn't really have any flaw he should work on( egoism , dishonesty...). Him being insecure makes me empathize with him but that's all. I do not feel really tied to him , nor does he seems realistic , since he has no bad side. And second , the mc's personality is melancholic and cold. Contrary to what people think , writing about a cold mc is really difficult , since it's hard to make him engaging. But not only did the author make him cold , he/she also used an omniscient pov , which further distances readers from the Mc. If only he had funny thoughts despite having a cold demeanor, it would have still been fine. But as i said earlier , he is melancholic. So don't expect rejoicing thoughts from him. On another point , i also don't really like how the Mc acted( in the 23rd chapter ) as though Killing was forced upon him. Emir had a choice. He could have let the hitmen go. So i don't understand why he lamented and acted as if it was forced upon him. If he acts in a certain way , he has to uphold his responsabilities. This all whinning time discredited him highly and it was even the final push for me to definetely stop reading this book. All in all , he is not irritating nor engaging. He is fine and just fine. Now for the side characters... They are forgetable( even the Mc's mother and his sister). - The pace is slow. As i said above , the pace is rather slow. And this together with the characters makes the story feels dragging. - I don't really like the book's general vibe . The book's ambiance is the reflection of the Mc : cold and melancholic. It doesn’t change one bit , and this ends up making the whole reading experience underwhelming. Finally , I pray for your improvement author and hope that my honest review does help you.
Giving myself five stars is shameless, but I think I deserve it. I've put a lot of thought into this novel, many future events are already planned with foreshadowing in the current chapters, so look out for them. In this review, I will highlight what you can expect from my novel, although I'm a newbie novelist, I can guarantee you that my novel has excellent writing, and character design. This novel's story is based on a mix of many genres and novels, novels such as Rebuild world, TOPAV, and small elements from Legendary mechanic, and genres such as Sci-Fi ; Fantasy. The world it self is a mix of futuristic and post apocalyptic, so a cyberpunk like world. I'll plan to update atleast once a day, everyday, for a while, only missing days when I'm too busy. As for the many of you who ask if there is going to be a harem or not, let me answer you now. Probably not, it depends on how the story would go tbh, since I'm not set yet on the female characters he will be meeting and how their stories would go. The romance will start later into the story and no it wont be the focus, not in the least, so for now atleast, harem haters don't worry too much, as there is one FL in mind. The story starts of slow, with big revelations about the world at the end of the first volume, I'm republishing my novel, so if you are a reader coming back from my old one, then hello, good to see you again, and for new readers, welcome and I hope you enjoy reading my story.
As soon as I read the synopsis, I had a feeling this novel would be impressive. Once I delved into the initial chapters, the writing completely drew me in, and the original concept (in the first chapter) cemented my curiosity to see what else the author has in store for us. The first chapter was truly unforgettable and well-written. I'm only a few chapters into the novel, but I'm excited to experience the story and will continue following it.
So my reason for stopping this book is probably not why others would stop reading it and honestly I only made it to about chapter 45 but here’s my take… first the things I like: the first few chapters really drew me in there was a little humor making fun of other novels and cliches along with a decent sense of mystery making me look forward to what was going to happen. I like that the power system off the bat wasn’t the same thing I’ve read a million times. Although a little slow to start you can kind of see the MC struggle with him not actually being the son and instead an invader to this family even if it’s not his choice.. the few battles that we see are decently well written and not to over the top… heres where the book lost me and maybe for some of you this isn’t an issue.. very quickly we find out the MC can,is ,and mostly likely will be in the future unable to control himself and I mean literally someone badically takes over his body and I’m completely uninterested in an MC that may or may not lose his free will or ability to control himself in any form complete turn off now anytime I’m reading I will foreve wonder when it’s gonna happen again and be just as uninterested
I added this novel to my collection after seeing the like. I decided to give it a read and omg it's freaking amazing after reading some few chapters. I love everything about this novel. I promise to continue to read more.
Sir goldenstache I really liked the novel so far but I do recommend you to have some side quests or sub stories that later bunch up and make it big and important like how anvelope did for 'I'll surpass the mc ' or like in 'Jackal amongst snakes' .I also highly recommend for side quests to have more actions like you did for the gang conquest as I consider your forte to in building up and executing a thrilling battle even if its one sided annihilation by the mc.Or have new innovation by mc in the branch of aether and arcana like Inala from I'll surpass the mc or Lucien Evans from throne of magical arcana though I understand that Emir is the battle junkie a niche touch of brillance wouldn't hurt right?! Anyways thank you for the new perspective and keep up the good work and create great novels like cuttle fish that loves diving or En_trailji or ergen or harold , etc authors
I haven't started the first chapter yet. but just seeing the author's involvement and emotions in the comments, the author update and the illustrations, I want to leave a good rating and try this novel. To be seen for the quality of the work itself, but for now i am hopeful.
Great prose and of course a popular isekai theme was chosen for this novel. So, gaining readers in WN shouldn't be a problem at all. The story developed well within the first 13 chapters and we can see how the ML evolved throughout the progress. Waiting to see more action. Good job, bro!
good hook and interesting enough plot to keep you wanting for more. biggest gripe i have with the novel is the characters. the way they speak is unnatural, written like an ai wrote their dialogue, even their internal monologue sounds stiff and unnatural. another thing is their intelligence, the side characters feel like their a level dumber than the mc and they dont really act their age, things just happen and they just accept it. no questions asked.
Read it and you wont regret it, its very unique in this app where most stories are copies of each other😃😃😃😃😃😃
From how unique the story is to how smooth it flows to how its written like someone who speaks actual english👏👏👏👏 10/10

Hello readers. This will be my last self-review for this novel as I can only afford to lightly spoil the first volume, the rest you must experience on your own. The first volume has finally ended everyone, it's been a blast to edit and add many things to this version of my story, I believe I've written the best first volume I possibly could. And although this is an 'Extra' novel, it isn't even close to how others with the same name are written, because while I enjoy this type of novel I wanted to write it differently, unlike the others where the weapon selection chapter is always 20 kek. So expect a longer introduction to the world in the first two volumes and only then, when the MC establishes himself as someone proper in the story will the Academy arc truly begin. The text below contains spoilers so only read this if you have doubts about reading this novel. For now, I'll answer a few of the questions I've received so far.
