Synopsis
The year is 2025. A devout Christian named Arthur Bennett wins a lottery to participate in a revolutionary virtual reality experience at a high-tech company called Elysium. The program utilizes a unique VR pod to immerse users in a world based on a popular anime.
As the other participants—a mix of personalities with varying degrees of anime knowledge—prepare to enter the simulation, Arthur remains the only one who has never indulged in anime. Upon entering this new world, he discovers an unsettling truth: pain is excruciatingly real, despite the creators' claims of a dampened pain response.
He eventually finds himself trapped in prison, unable to log out, and demanding to be released from the program. Calls go unanswered, and the world of ninjas becomes a nightmare where hunger, thirst, hygiene, and even death are all real.
Angered that he was deceived, he abandons all sense of logic and vows to become a villain no one would have ever anticipated.

Craziest novel ever! Like, author writes better than most. He not even famous? Craaaazy! The story has good pacing. MCs not like the ignorant ones you read about. This guys trapped in a virtual world and becomes the villain against 6 others trapped with him. At least you think theyre trapped. Best part about this novel. It has actions mystery and drama! 😗
It’s better than I expected. The first few chapters are a little rougher but I love the story so far This max reminds me of a more likable Jonathan and a overall better mc.
Masterpiece work but underrated. It may be my selfish wish but, i need more updates Author san. Moreeeeeeee.
Waited till now to write this review. By far the best fiction I've read in a while. It's written well and I love the MC. Villain novels are my favorite since they don't incorporate oblivious MC's. This MC's cool, level-headed and doesn't make rash decision. Author literally wrote an amazing premise to keep the story rolling. Don't forget about us when you get famous Akito!
It's known that there are many fan fics about popular anime and movies. However, this stands above them all. Picturing the environment during an entire series of naruto is not a simple feat, and the development of characters are also stable. I suggest this to all anime fans, it's a new step towards greatness.
As someone desperate for good fiction on Webnovel, I can confidently say this hits every spot. It's a 10/10 story. The idea is fresh, the writing quality is top-notch and the MC has a layered character.
its explaining the story really well, also its one of the further! it would actually be cool if the author adds a scene when they get back in the time and trying to undo the war, I most likely advice to read this this is a masterpiece also reallt well written the author knows what he does!
Mannn! I thought this was gonna be some typical Naruto transmigration story, but man, it's a long way from it. The book is actually really dark and cold, which definitely caught me off guard. I am still barely into the chapters, but I really love how the author molded the lead personality around the "survival of the fittest" mindset and completely changed his character. I look forward to seeing other characters, like Alex, Campbell, and others-what roles or powers they've inherited. Definitely planning to keep reading!
Really came as a surprise and really should be more popular. MC is a very pragmatic character and willing to go far for his goals. not just in the sendse of killing but he uses cunning, tactics and trickery too. it's a bit fast paced but not enough to give whiplash. overall a great read
I love the way the author darkens the world. A new POV in the world of Naruto is certainly not a bad idea as it engages many Naruto fans to read it. As always, I admire the author's writing style. But, despite compliments, there are some criticisms. Like, the chapter length is too much. The pacing is slow, and the author explains every event of Naruto even though it may not be important.
It's excellent 👌. But it hardly feels like a fanfic of Naruto. But if tou consider it as an individual novel, then it's good. Characters are very realistic, but these counterparts don't match the OG characters in Naruto. At least, the ones who interacted with Main Leads. Their names are also strange as they possessed bodies which already have had their identities. So shouldn't their name be Japanese or at least resemble Japanese instead of American? While the story isn't very fast paced, but MLs are getting stronger at alarming speed. And for some reason, ML Otsutsuki clan is Konohagakure. Shouldn't he be in space with Toneri or even at the Otsutsuki clan? And how is he learning jutsus? Why is like a complete normal shinobi? And Otsutsuki's should look different from humans, so why isn't he questioned? And seeing a Jesus follower, especially in Naruto anime seems really odd. Well, it's not Naruto anime. In the starting, the antagonist I will say, explained that it's a world similar to Naruto, but not Naruto. So all my previous points are invalid. But I just wanted to share my thoughts. I hope you enjoy this novel further and it does well in the future.
I liked the writing style and progression of the story. The characters are interesting in their own ways and the overall concept of the narrative is enjoyable to read. However, I don't know whether this is fanfic or since I've never read one. But Naruto's lore is mentioned a lot in the story
Pros: I think your storytelling is great. The way you let the facts sink in is also great. But for a Naruto fan, some parts of the explanation may feel boring. Having watched Naruto myself years ago, I think the way you have darkened the universe is something many old Naruto fans would want. Cons: First of all, even if you mentioned somewhere in the synopsis or the review that it isn't a fanfic, it gives a fanfic vive. I don't know about the future chapters but for now, the pacing of the story is quite slow. I know that the words for the details to sink and to give info just in case someone with zero knowledge of Naruto reads it; it is also important to minimise those words to a bare minimum so that it feels like the story is progressing quickly. If you planned the slow pacing, I can't say much about it.

Shameless review here. Greetings everyone. Path of War both is and isn't your typical adventure story. Arthur Bennet, our main protagonist, is a devout Christian. This alone is enough to tell you there will be quotes taken directly from the King James Version Bible. It's important to note from the outset that this isn't anime fan fiction. To be exact, it's not fan fiction at all. While the setting is based on the popular Naruto franchise, the story takes a sharp turn into a brutal survival tale. Once our main character participates in a groundbreaking VR experience offered by Elysium, a high-tech company, his excitement quickly fades as he discovers a horrifying truth: the pain within the simulation is agonizingly real, despite assurances of a light pain response. Now thrown into this virtual prison, he's going to try his best to escape by becoming the world's main villain. The story as a whole is crafted as a suspenseful narrative that explores the dark side of virtual reality as well as man's true evil nature. We see the main character grappling with this new world, forced to adapt and fight for survival in a world that's foreign to him. If you're looking for a lighthearted adventure, this story isn't for you. However, if you enjoy thrillers with a touch of science fiction and an anti-hero protagonist thrust into extraordinary circumstances, then this might be a book worth checking out. Just be prepared for excellent story-telling and multiple characters to help drive the plot. Last but not least, please, for what sanity is left in this world, read the preface!
