Write a reviewGood read. Long but worth it. The characters are well written, with very little to no plot armor. Characters have flaws which is important, as flawless characters are boring. Can’t wait to read more of your work in the shared universe.
The SEQUEL is out now!! "Outclassing the Achievement Junkie"!!! Join the new adventure following one of Jack's latest schemes involving a fresh achievement junkie MC, including a prologue with Jack and Bowzer in a dungeon crawl. this is one of the few books I've completed from start to finish and I enjoyed it all regardless of some of the poor grammar
I dont see what people say IS good about this novel, just too much plot armor and a MC that only personality IS being cocky and annoying, sry but i dont think its worth reading.
Only real part I dislike is it eneded too soon for my tastes. I won't comment on what all takes place at the end but it is predictable considering author stated he won't do endless story like other writers.
I really wanted to give it a try, but after 20 chapters, I had to drop it. At the start, he denied working for the king because the king wanted him to prove himself. And he didn't wanna be stuck with him, so then he just walked out, and then this old adventure basically just made him join the adventurer association even tho he said no. He's just really arrogant and I feel like he's the typical stupid mc thats just my opinion tho this might be for you I would still try it out.
Reveal SpoilerImmature MC. Lot of holes in plot. I really tried, but cant past chapter 50. The idea was good but writing quality is really poor. May be Author,s first novel, buf it could have been a good piece.
I would have dropped this novel if the first 70 chapters weren't free. it took that long for the writing to start picking up and the author had less plot armor everywhere. The story has potential and as I read further and further along, I really feel like both the author and the story grow. I'm only 200ish chapters along and had to stop buying coins. I'll hoard up passes or hope it goes free again. still a few plot holes and poorly written chapters. also plenty of typos and such. An extra editor would really make this story shine. probably a slight rewrite of the first few chapters (50ish?). I like to come along for the ride and I hope you guys do too, I have high hopes for this one.

Great Novel. Really liked the story and everything.... It's just that the plot and the characters are so stupid sometimes. 1. King spends fortune to summon a hero. And while every other hero is insanely strong this one seems to be weak. Instead of thinking that the hero might have undiscovered powers and continue his investment, he decides to throw everything he spent on away and treat the hero as if he is worthless. I'm not going to blame him for his actions because the hero truly is an exception and not the type of hero someone would want to have, but letting him get away without doing anything. Letting him just leave after all the money invested into him is stupid. At least make him a slave or something. He just disrespects the king and the king just gets angry and allows him to joint he opposing force. Well, not my cup of tea. 2. Somehow, the hero with nothing to his name enters a drinking contest and loses. However, not only does he not have to pay anything like a loser, someone the owner covers his tab and offers him a 50% discount on everything. Even though he a Lv1 noob, somehow he scares everyone with his supposed aura. Eventually, he not only gets free food and lodgings, someone else is paying for it. Well yeah, I understand being a hero has its perks, but why do they not care about him being a leech. 3. Soon, he happens to come across a merchant who gives free soul artifacts which are supposedly super expensive and rare. He gets two based on giving the knowledge of how to use them and a favor. The dealer just gives them away. The fact that the protagonist has so much plot armor to get OP artifacts at the beginning at no cost is just stupid. NO written agreements. NO trial. NOthing. It's just stupid that he soon also gets a super rare, 8/9 star fox that supposedly can bring down nations. It just is stupid at that point at how much the author is attempting to give you free stuff. It's just not even cool anymore. The characters are literally his doormats, just somehow trusting him and giving him free stuff along the way. Stupid characters acting as antagonists and a stupid protagonist who cannot control his temper. But let me tell the truth, his writing is very good and entertaining. It's just a bit forced and I cannot stomach that much plot armor in one sitting.
Reveal SpoilerThe romance in this novel is really grating. It feels like it's been written by someone who hasn't been in any relation ships. The female love interests all fall in love with the MC almost immediately when he meets them. A trip to an auction turns into the MC getting forced into two marriages.
i dont know what to say. the novel starts really bad. already being forced to do things from the start. everything is forced. mc doesent have a stable personality.
not enjoyable at all. none of the characters are likeable. there's next to no information on the world at the start even though he apparently has this cast knowledge that hasn't once come into play. the story direction in the first ten chapters is awful. not worth a second to read. dropped immediately after chapter 10
I started this after it was finished but, within the three weeks I have read this, I loved how the story along with the writing style evolved. You did a great job with your plot twists and surprises. Can't wait to start the next book.
Overall I was really enjoying the story and characters, until I got to one specific plot point. I hated and disagreed with that plot point so strongly that I decided to stop reading. I mean seriously how would anyone in their right mind think that blackmailing someone you know will become far far more powerful than you be anything but an absolute horrible idea. that is essentially guaranteeing that they will hate you and come back for vengeance someday. to use an analogy it is like laying explosives in the structure of a house you are building and then proclaiming how sturdy it is. makes no sense and completely lost my interest.
I loved every moment reading this. The world and characters are so complex and detailed. The story itself was just so addictive I couldn't put it down.
I'm running to read the next instalment thanks for the amazing read, I hope I would be able to read all the books of this amazing universe. [img=exp]
The story itself progresses with a perfect balance between action and development. Things don't always work out for the main character, which is very refreshing compared to many webnovels. The main characters all have very well fleshed out personalities, and emotions are used and portrayed very well.

Author, sorry i havent even touched your work yet but have been scrolling across the reviews. I love you and your nerves of steel, keep up the good work.
It's not often that I find a series that I can't put down until I finish it. This is one of those books. Perfect length without getting too long while also keeping things at a good, believable pace. and with this being the first book of a multiverse, I'm excited to read more. read this book, it's great.
im at ch. 168 rn and can ANYONE tell me when TF mc will understand, A SECRET isnt A SECRET if YOU TELL IT TO JUST ABOUT ANYONE AND EVERYONE YOU MEET. am i the only one who thinks my dude has mental problems????
useless mc beta, which idiot guy refuses a girl he sincerely wants to sleep with, and he also refuses to sleep with his wife after marriage 🤭😵😵
despite the harem tag, this novel was a surprising success. The author actively responded to comments despite also working on another book, and, while there is a small amount of plot armor, it's little enough that it can be ignored.
All I can say is I won't judge a book solely on its title again. The main character's development throughout the story was amazing with him trying to figure out who he really was and what he wanted. World building was great as well especially since thus is book one of six. The author really did layout the foundation for all books with the power system and how big their worlds are. I highly recommend to anyone who is reading reviews to see if this book looks like a good read to try it. I am looking forward to read books 2 thru 6 in the future.
just finished the book and it was pretty good. I wish it would have gone a little farther at the end since the ending was really bad, it left a few things in limbo that I wish it would have gone into before going into another book to hope maybe you will get answers to or see what happens. I will admit the end of the book was pretty bad. It was an abrupt end that didn't feel like an ending. it felt like there was more to come but just fell flat. It gave me the same feeling the end of the Sapranos show gave.
This is the first time I've written such a positive, praising review, but I must say this. The quality of this story is on another level compared to most novels on this platform. This novel was a joy to read from beginning to end. I honestly have no complaints at all. Thank you author for such a great adventure and ride!
Stopped after 31 chapters because i couldnt take it anymore. Very boring story nothing happens and it was a complete waste of time. Only level 3 after 31 chapters is ridiculous. I dont recommend. Mc is also annoying and doesnt sTand up for himself.
The achievement junkie is a story set in a well crafted world, but suffers desperately from poor plot pacing and forced and poor character development, especially so in the first 150 odd chapters. It does however get better and at the very least doesn’t suffer from poor grammar and sentence structure so overall worth a read if your bored and looking for something new, I’m personally looking forward to more of TheSilverQuills works as you can definitely see positive progress as a writer through this first novel.
This novel is one of the best original novels on here, don't get throw of by jacks arrogance at the beginning since he has a good reason for it, if you haven't started reading it, do it now. The novel's at it's last arc so you won't have to wait for the story once you caught up since it'll be finished then. Enjoy.
