The next day
"That's crazy," Marianne whispered, finishing her recount of what she had overheard.
Next to her, Robin and Melissa were talking after hearing Mikita's revelation. Robin had unintentionally overheard Josh's conversation with Mikita while on her way to her room, and now she was relaying it to the other girls.
"I don't see what's so strange about it," Melissa said, noticing Marianne's expression.
Robin faked a cough, smiled, and said, "If you'd grown up in the sea or in a commoner family, you wouldn't get it. But as most of you know, the Celestial Dragons set the rules, regardless of whether your country follows the kingdom system or another."
Melissa, now shirtless, took out a cigar and lit it. "Things are about to get interesting, aren't they?" She then turned to Marianne and winked.
Blushing, Marianne glared at her. "Hey, I'm rich now, so stop treating me like a kid just because I'm short."
"We're both short," Melissa shrugged. "You're just a dwarf, while I'm average."
"Attention!" Robin called, bringing them back to the conversation. "Anyway, polygamy is allowed in this world. Some are against it, but in the end, the World Nobles' words are absolute."
There was clear disdain in her voice when she mentioned the World Nobles.
"What do you think Josh will do now that Mikita's given him the green light?" Marianne asked, blushing slightly as she fiddled with her fingers, recalling the time Josh had lifted her up and kissed her on the cheek.
"He's pretty quick to act, isn't he?" Melissa exhaled a cloud of smoke before brushing her green hair back to see what the others thought.
"He is young and sweet to us," Robin commented.
"He's also horny. He might check you out if you bend over," Melissa added with a smirk.
"Somehow, he doesn't bring up the topic with us," Marianne noted, looking up.
Josh was bold, but not shameless. They knew that. He wouldn't openly approach them about such things, even if Mikita had given him permission.
There was only one solution for a man with money, freedom, and his woman's blessing: brothels!
The girls all seemed to reach the same conclusion.
"We have to stop him from making a mistake," Melissa declared, standing up.
"Robin, find him!" Marianne rushed toward Robin, grabbing her shorts and shaking her.
Robin patted Marianne's head, smiling. "Don't worry, he won't get away."
"Things got awkward fast, didn't they?" Melissa chuckled. "Well, this ane-san won't let him ruin himself."
----
The next day, Josh was deep in thought, considering his plans for the morning. Mikita had told him something that left him feeling both confused and incredibly lucky.
She had said she wanted him to be with someone they knew until she recovered.
'She's not a feminist. I like that,' he mused.
Despite the tempting offer, Josh couldn't imagine asking Robin, Melissa, or Marianne to get involved. Even with Mikita's blessing, he couldn't bring himself to ask someone to be with him while he was already in a relationship.
He respected them too much for that. Besides, what would he even say? "Hey, do you want to…?" No, that wasn't him.
After saying goodbye to Mikita and making her dinner, Josh left, holding a map in his hand. The map was marked with circles labeled stress relief. His plan was to visit a few oases where he could train and swim in peace.
As he made his way out of the casino, a wall of fire suddenly erupted in his path.
"Wait!" he exclaimed, stepping back.
Turning, he saw a green-haired woman in a short shirt and shorts, hands on her hips, staring at him.
"Melissa?" Josh raised an eyebrow. "What are you doing?"
Before she could respond, several long arms wrapped around him, suppressing his movement. Though his superior strength allowed him to break free, he was confused. Turning, he saw Robin emerging from the shadows with Marianne by her side.
"Girls, what's going on?" Josh asked, noticing the serious expressions on their faces.
Before he could get an answer, a small figure darted forward and snatched the map from his hand.
It was Marianne, her hair loose and flowing around her shoulders. She scanned the map with her wide blue eyes before her expression shifted.
"Stress relief?" Marianne's voice rang out, shocked. The usually quiet girl was visibly surprised.
"Girls, we were right!" she exclaimed before throwing the map into the fire.
Josh's jaw dropped, his lips twitching in disbelief. "What the hell is going on?"
Marianne sighed in relief. Frowning, Josh bent down, grabbing her by the back of her collar, and lifted her up to his eye level.
"Can someone explain before I lose my patience?" Josh's tone was firm as he glared at the three women.
Marianne smiled sheepishly. "We were saving you."
"Saving me? From what?" Josh blinked, baffled.
"Degeneracy," Marianne replied.
"Degeneracy?" Josh nearly dropped her. He wasn't heading to a brothel! He was just looking for a place to train and relax.
"Come on, Josh, don't you find us attractive?" Melissa asked, hand on her forehead.
Robin stared at him, waiting for his response.
Josh's eyes scanned the marketplace, full of people, thinking, Everyone here looks like they stepped out of Photoshop. It's not just about looks.
Realising what they were getting at, Josh frowned. They thought he was looking for someone on the street to hook up with, given Mikita's permission. Did they feel bad he didn't ask them?
Josh placed Marianne back on the ground and took a deep breath. Using his best persuasive skills, he explained that he hadn't mentioned it because he respected them too much. Even though they were incredibly attractive, he couldn't bring himself to disturb them with such a request.
His explanation seemed to evoke emotions in all of them. Robin wasn't surprised, simply smiling knowingly. "Fufufufu..." she let out a soft laugh.
"So, you do think I'm attractive," Marianne said, looking up at him with her wide eyes.
Josh looked down to see Marianne standing on her toes, gazing up at him.
"Of course. I'm a straight man," Josh replied with a shrug, eyeing the three women.
Marianne blushed and, without warning, hugged him. Josh felt her slight frame press against him.
Robin smiled and stepped closer. "A young man like you doesn't belong in a brothel. It would ruin you," she said, before bending down slightly and placing her lips on his.
Josh's eyes widened in surprise as Robin's soft lips met his. The kiss deepened, and he couldn't resist the sensation, his body heating up.
Meanwhile, Marianne, pressing against him, felt something firm against her stomach. She looked up to see the two of them kissing above her.
Feeling competitive, she began subtly moving her body against him.
Josh pulled back from Robin with a muah sound and met her gaze.
"Do you want us to pinch each other, like last time?" Robin teased with a smile.
Josh chuckled. "That might be unfair."
"Fufufu... I know." Robin leaned in for another kiss.
As they kissed, Melissa watched the scene unfold with amusement. "I'm a straight woman too, you know," she said with a smile. "But I'll let you three have your fun. I don't want to face Mikita's punch again." She turned and walked away, muttering, "Guess I'll have to take care of things myself."
Josh didn't care. He was focused on the moment. He kissed Robin deeply again while Marianne continued to press against him, her movements stirring something primal inside him.
Marianne, determined to catch his attention, noticed something dampening her shirt. Realising what had happened, she pulled back slightly, her cheeks turning pink.
Josh, now calmer, placed a hand on Marianne's head, gently patting her.
"So, what's the plan?" Josh asked, turning to Robin.
"I booked a hotel room. Come with me, little brother. I'll take care of you," Robin said with a smile.
"Please, big sis," Josh replied playfully, letting her guide him away.
"Wait for me!" Marianne called, rushing after them.
