บท 46: Chapter 47: Is this Real, a Dream, or a Test?
Mikita was on her period. To Josh, this meant no sex tonight.
Mikita felt bad for him when Josh mentioned he wanted to be alone for the evening. It had been a while since they'd had time together, and just as they were about to, her period arrived.
Josh assured her it wasn't a big deal, but he needed to relax for a bit.
However, that posed a problem. Josh wasn't a simple man. He was potentially the leader of a religious organization, given his direct contact with a Devil. And Mikita was a believer. In the One Piece world, there wasn't a single religious leader without women trying to claim him, let alone a devilish group leader with real miracles—ones no one knew about yet.
To Josh, Mikita relaxing was no big deal; in fact, it was an opportunity. In the past few days, he hadn't had time to check the rewards he'd received after defeating Crocodile.
He didn't want to open them in bed next to her; she might think he was crazy or, worse, ask if he'd had some spiritual message.
Sitting on the couch in the casino formerly owned by Crocodile, now his temporary home, Josh crossed one leg over the other and stared at the ceiling.
Summoning the system in his head, a screen appeared, and he smiled as he glanced at his storage.
Despite the awkwardness between him and Robin—which had, in fact, left him a bit horny—Josh kept himself in check, focused on the rewards he was about to receive.

It was a huge reward, especially the Tier 5 box. The last time he got a legendary reward, it gave him a healing factor that made him look like an awakened Simple Zoan Devil Fruit user.
That's what he was hoping for—something of similar quality or something to boost his power.
He started by opening the two Tier 3 boxes, receiving the following:

Though Josh didn't plan on fighting much in the future, focusing more on starting his business, he knew that in the One Piece world, strength was everything. The law was weak; might ruled. Without strength, he couldn't protect himself, let alone achieve his dreams.
Opening the Legend Rank box, Josh received his legendary reward.
As the box opened, Josh knew it had all been worth it—the blood, the tears, the punches, and the sand that had invaded his nose and ears.

The system didn't explain what the fruit did. Josh, who had never thought about eating a Devil Fruit, certainly hadn't expected this as his reward.

He imagined how crazy it would be if his current healing factor mixed with the Zoan's regeneration when awakened.
Shaking his head, Josh stored it away. He was already strong enough. He would only eat the fruit once he got Angel Tears from the lottery again. Angel Tears would allow him to deal with the fruit's weakness.
He was confident he would get them eventually. With money in hand and rewards repeating in the system, it was just a matter of time.
In addition to the fifty points from Crocodile, Josh had deposited 200 million Berries into his system for 200 Draw Points, giving him a total of 250. He planned to use them when he felt lucky.
The rest of his money would be invested in his project: building casinos that ripped off pirates and claimed their bounties, alongside regular gamblers who shouldn't have been playing in the first place.
Josh shook his head. He'd completely forgotten about sex tonight. Taking out his black katana and the swordsmanship manual from his storage, Josh started practicing again, determined to improve his skills.
While his body adapted quickly to the postures, Josh knew he needed to understand the blade itself, not just the movements.
Even though times were peaceful, Josh believed every moment should be spent gaining power.

Josh sat in his office, staring at the black-haired, snow-white-skinned woman in front of him.
Robin's presence brought a huge smile to his face. She had made some quiet changes to her appearance. Her skin was now pale like milk. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail, and she wore a jacket and a short skirt with a slit on the side, revealing her long leg. She had pushed her bangs back, looking more like her anime version after the time skip.
"You're no longer Nico Robin?" Josh asked. Even with her changed look, she was as stunning as ever, with perfect curves and... well, everything.
"Mmm…" Robin nodded with a smirk, waiting for his opinion.
"So, what's your name now?"
"I'll leave that to you."
"Don't get your hopes up," Josh said, rolling his chair and lifting his head, deep in thought. 'I'm not great at naming pets, let alone women.'
"I'll be happy with anything."
"Just don't pinch my balls again," Josh teased. Robin blushed slightly, remembering the incident from a few nights ago.
Robin, used to her tanned skin, hadn't noticed her blush. She kept her usual carefree expression and smiled.
Josh coughed, recalling the face she made when he'd grabbed her butt. Though he hadn't exacted revenge, he didn't regret the decision.
"How about... Robina?" Josh suggested, thinking the World Government would never suspect Robin of using such an obvious alias.
Robin stared at him for twenty seconds before rolling her eyes. "Wow, you're such a genius."
"Keep rolling them; maybe you'll see your brain someday," Josh quipped.
Her eyes stopped rolling, slightly pained by the comment. She glared at him, biting her lip as her temper flared. Before she could react, Josh's expression froze as his gaze shifted over her shoulder.
Robin, sensing something serious, created eyes on the wall to see behind her. But there was nothing there.
When she looked back, Josh had vanished, leaving a note on the table.
Robin picked it up and read:

Letting out a long exhale, cheeks puffing in frustration, she muttered, "He got me…"

Josh rubbed his balls quietly, remembering what happened last time he pinched Robin's butt. "If only life were fair."
Josh was heading back to Crocodile's place, preparing to move out the next day. He decided to spend the evening with Mikita. Although it had been a while since they'd been intimate, he needed to talk to her.
Otherwise, if he stayed alone with Robin, things could lead to… well, things that gave him a boner just thinking about.
When Josh met Mikita, she was lying on the bed. They had a conversation.
She asked where he had been the night before, and he replied that he was in the office, practicing.
"I know you're a training maniac… but seriously, in the office?" Mikita asked, sitting next to him on the bed.
"You wanted to sleep early, and you weren't feeling well, so..." Josh shrugged. Mikita felt guilty for neglecting him.
While he looked down, Mikita grabbed him by the collar, surprising him.
"Mikita, what are you—"
"Josh, I don't want you to cheat on me."
She hushed him by placing a finger on his lips.
Josh raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
"I want you to sleep with someone we know. At least until I'm better."
Josh put his hand on her forehead. "Your temperature's normal. Did you eat something strange?"
"It's okay, Joshy. Remember when I told you I came from a noble family?"
"Yeah, and that you left to pursue your dreams…" Josh said, recalling. "And you gave me that death glare when you thought I was checking out Vivi."
Mikita nodded. "We practice polygamy. It's only cheating if it's done behind my back."
She cupped his cheek. Josh was a good lover, less of an asshole than most, and sweet enough to handle her crazy personality. Most importantly, he was excellent in bed with impressive stamina.
'Hey...' Josh had entertained the thought before, but he figured it would be years before he acted on it. Hearing her say it now, though, caught him off guard.
"Alright, you're under the influence of hormones. Is there someone in particular you're thinking of?" he asked.
Mikita tightened her grip, her expression serious. "I want you to be with someone we know. I won't accept you sneaking around with someone else."
Mikita had a deep fear. Given Josh's connection to a Devil from another world, she was afraid he'd stray if she neglected him. Worse, once other women found out about his powers, they'd try to steal him away. She had seen women happily taken as consorts by kings, or worse, by Celestial Dragons.
"Ah... how did that even cross your mind?" Josh's heart skipped a beat. He could hardly believe she was serious.
Still, this was a different culture. No high education or feminism here. He'd have to accept their rules.
"Devil's whispers," Mikita said, rising her golden eyebrow.
"Mikita…" he said, feeling the love that he never felt, but he tried to not show it on his face.
"Should I gamble more and see where this is going to lead?" thinking, Josh looked around the room.
It can be that she was testing him. So he should test her back, right?
"Don't play your luck. It's temporarily. We can just play and kiss." Before Josh could even discuss it, she grabbed him closer started kissing him.
Although his tongue was moving, Josh was thinking. 'Is this real, a dream, or a test?'
Putting his hand on her heart, Josh decided to test her heartbeat. This only resulted in Mikita fiercely blushing.
