This novel is awesome! I like the way the author is writing. It is both beautiful and descriptive. I also love how the author narrates the characters' interaction and the world background. It felt like I was really there. It fits well with the POV that the author chooses to use. As for the storyline, the plot is intriguing and exciting at the same time. I have already been hooked up with the beginning of this novel despite the fact that it has only around tens of chapters or so. The author also has an excellent way to introduce the new concept of "Flow." The only thing that paused my continuously reading is only a transition from chapter 3 to chapter 4, or chapter 4 itself. Somehow, I feel it is not smooth like other chapters. But, nothing serious, though. Overall, I would recommend you give this novel a try. It is definitely worth it! Good Job, author! I hope editors will pick this novel up as one of the winners in WPC!
I think, personally, it's more of a mystery than a fantasy (Although there are very fantasy...like things in it). I really liked it and everything flowed nicely. I personally think that the usage of the First PoV (idk how to say it) worked really well in this scenario and it was easy to make sense of everything. It sounds like those old RLS (Robert Louis Stevenson, I searched up RLS and got restless leg syndrome O.o) novels with all the harbours and stuff. I thought at first, this was sort of like a poe thing, but then it sort of just gradually changed to RLS. The description was also really detailed and I really really liked the idea of the channeling rod (I thought TV remote when I read it at first tbh). There was only one thing that I wasn't too sure of and it was that the quotations weren't really consistent (or it's a grammar rule I don't know about). Sometimes there would be this... idk... a comma then a colon then a comma then a colon and I would just go... ?. It didn't really interfere with reading it so I didn't really care about it much. (I was just wondering if it's okay to have a sentence like: "I like cats, " said Raisins. He ate a couple of raisins. "Hey!" because I'm not totally sure.) The only thing that I thought I should mention that was completely personal was the switch between third and first PoV. The three dots helped a lot with knowing when it was going to happen and I could tell that it was (usually) only used to foreshadow or explain some event that the MC couldn't have known about.
Ayo I absolutely love what's happening with this novel :D The descriptions are really detailed and I'm loving it. For just 10 chapters this book is very promising keep at it! :D
Wow - So soon into this story and I feel like I'm reading something really special. The author has done an exceptional job in every area so far. Here's my thoughts. Writing quality - Wow. The readability of this story is great. The writer really seems to know what they're doing with the story and comes across across as thoughtful. The story feels well fleshed out even though it's just begun. Stability of updates - Couldn't ask for anything more than the clear consistency so far. Story development - This is my favourite area right now and deserves a 6/5 imo. The story pacing is natural and not forced at all. Great job. Character designs - yesssssssss. That's all I can say. World background - hell to the yea. I'm curious of where this is going to go next and what the heck is going on with this time lapse of ages. There is a lot going on and it is overall a very recommendable and worthy read. I look forward to keeping this up and seeing where it goes. Hopefully goes well. Best of luck to you, Author.
Really enjoyed the story - seems like the author is putting in some hard work! Can really recommend if you're looking for a quality read and a new story to follow!
Even though I only read a few chapters, i can easily say that your story is very interesting and has a lot of potential in it. I find the plot intriguing and am quite curious about the characters. Anxiously waiting for what will happen in the future! Keep on writing! :D
A good novel in making..........descriptive and detailed in all aspects........... have to wait and see the future developments...........
Everything about the Book is amazing. From the action, to the detailed descriptions, the authors style of writing and the choice of character names. Please update soon
If this kind of start for a story could not be considered great yet, I don't know what else. Both the characters and the world setting are interesting. The only down point of this one, it that it only has a few chapters and I simply could not good enough. I'll keep supporting you, author. More power to you and your book!
Thoroughly a remarkable novel...I read a few chapters and it captivated me to read more...I truly enjoyed reading it...I liked how the author described detailed scenes...The author's writing style is perfect & the choice of words is fantastic...Hats off to the author for her/his creative ideas...Highly recommended book...Extraordinary work, Author!
Writing quality, nothing can be said about that as the story is very well-described. The characters and their emotions are depicted in an immersive manner that colors this story with life. It looks like the story will bring the MC into a long journey with devils and monsters as adversaries. It seems a great plot will follow this grand adventure. The concept of flow sigils is also really interesting. I really want to know more about this fascinating idea of the author. Though nothing is detailed yet about the world, I can't wait to know how the author will unfold this new exciting world. Great job!
Hey! You have a really straightforward and fast-paced writing style. I liked it because it kept me on the edge, making me want to know more. There isn't much to read yet, but so far it's a five star for me. I'll be sure to tip you a powerstone when it's refilled ;) Nice work author and keep it up! Peace out.
It's a really good story. I really enjoyed it. The writing quality is excellent, and the character design is also really good. I like the world portrayed so far. Well done.
What an awesome story filled with poetic sense. The author had a great job providing the readers of the the detailed descriptions of the main character's emotions. Each chapter breathes life and helps the reader immersed in the story. Do keep writing as this story has potential. I hope you win WPC 162!
This has a very interesting world that I can see develop into something big. The usage of short syntax was a bit too often in the first chapter but it did succeed in building the suspense. Other than that it's fabulous, can't wait for future updates!
This is a great, fast-moving story. The adventure starts at full-throttle and never lets go. I loved being in the dark along with the main character as to where he is, what has happened, etc. I can't wait to find out where this story goes!
The only thing I can say is... Amazing! What a story! The first chapter was such an amazing start, it was incredible. I fell in love with the way you are describing everything and the way you keep us in touch with the protagonist's emotions, it's almost like a rollercoaster. The following chapters only got better and better. Can't wait to read more! Good job!
Overall this is very good so far, I think this has a lot of potential and hope that the author makes something amazing out of it!
This is an insanely good story so far. The pacing really picks up especially around chapter 3. It's incredibly intriguing and has my attention for sure. Will be adding this to my library to keep up to date with! Good job so far, writer!
Wow wow wow! The writing in this book is beautiful! Poetic, chilling, emotive, even grueling at times! Its not often when reading a book I feel so engaged and immersed in such wonderful description! I love how the characters are written, and how the author has the ability to make me feel so passionately about some of them (I absolutely despise the lord) Truly fantastic work. Great writing, great plot- I could not ask for more!
This author was an expert at detailed descriptions! The novel turned out to be a good read! With the flow like smooth silk and pleasant to my ears. This doesn't reveal everything to the world and it made it mysteriously wanting you to know more! Great job author!
The Good: My first 5 star review, so you are getting a 5 critique. Wow, it's been a long time since I've read such a well written book! The story itself is intriguing and is slowly fed to the reader so as to neither overload nor starve the reader for more. Enough character details are given that we can draw a decent conclusion about who they are without resorting to the most common character tropes. The few flaws I noticed in the first chapter were already taken care of by the fourth so the author appears to be progressing well. The Bad: Really really hard to find fault anywhere... if I HAD to pick a few things, I would say use easier words sometimes since many readers here are ESL. I know we're supposed to write for who we want to read it, but I've found it better to write for who actually is reading it. I really hope that makes sense. If I HAD to pick something else apart, I'd say it feels like much more effort was put into the first 3 chapters than the last 5. That's not really a bad thing though because more effort isn't always a good thing as you probably know. Once the inspiration starts flowing, you just let it flow and worry about fixing it up after. (Or at least that is how I do it.) The Neutral: I know I call this part "The Neutral", but I should change it to "My personal thoughts that really don't affect how I rate". You're right, "The Neutral" is easier to type. Your style improved subtly from chapter 1 to chapter 8. I would have to say that you, the author, came across as arrogant in the early chapters, but later toned it down to the perfect level to match what this story needs. I would hazard a guess and say you are well-educated with at least a background in liberal arts. Regardless, keep up the good work and I look forward to more!
