Personally, I’d prefer Sabertooth’s claws. I love wolverine’s claws, they’re cool af, but those hurt like a bitch every time he pulls them out. Plus, you gotta align your arms and fist properly or else it’ll burst out your wrist or palms.

Agreed. That’s kinda what I was getting at. He really doesn’t NEED to be at the top of he’s strong enough to handle dozens or hundreds at once. Hell, he doesn’t even need to be top 5 so long as he’s strong enough to handle everything else, strong enough to make those at the top weary at least, or capable enough to escape.
Arthur wanted the latter, and while doing it, he would get stronger too. He wasn't aiming to be the strongest player in the world or anything like that. He left that to those people who like to stand out and be the heroes of this story.
