Synopsis
'Divinity Online'. The new breakthrough in the Full-Immersion Virtual Reality technology. After decades of work, Divinity Corp had achieved the impossible. Creating a massive video game world that people can enter and live in as if it were Earth. Their goal was clear, to create a world other than Earth that we can call home.
A place where the laws of reality vanish, and the true ceiling of power shifts completely.
Naturally, the shockwave Divinity Online created across the entire globe was unlike anything else. Every single person has heard of it, even those who have had no interest in video games before.
Giant corporations and even governments immediately rushed to start planning to invest in this new world and just like that, billions of people had their eyes on one single date: the 19th of July.
***
Arthur, like everyone else, had heard of the game and was as excited as everyone else to try it, if not even more. With how much he grew bored of his life on earth, this fantasy world was like the divine call he had been searching for. However, there was a very small problem.
He had no money to buy the machine required to access Divinity Online. His wretched life had turned him into a broke teenager with no parents, and no relatives. But, by some kind of luck, he got his hands on one of those machines.
Not knowing what was awaiting him in that world, Arthur was simply seeking one thing... A new opportunity in life and to find a purpose he could work for when he had none so far.

Write a reviewMan, why the hell did u dropped the other two new novels? They were pretty amazing. especially the shard related novel😞
I didn't read much of this novel got to chapter 11 then quit. The MC seems to have zero ambition which makes for a very boring read for me.
I was optimistic about the story at the beginning but then it went downhill really fast. MC has a Blood Eater skills that consumes his kills and gives him stats in return. Consuming a killed enemy liquefies the body into blood that disappears after consumption. He needed to raid an orc settlement stealthily. You'd think Blood Eater is helpful in removing the bodies he kills while sneaking around. No. He kills several orcs, doesn't use the skill, gets noticed and chased, runs away and hides. Did he learn? No. Repeat. Then, he reaches the boss and his mana and stamina are empty. He will use the skill to gain some mana and stamina, right? No. He jumps at the boss cuz he wants to. He is lvl4, boss is lvl 12. Not a normal monster, a boss! then he kills the boss. Don't ask how and why. He just used a skill that consumed 20% of his mana before. He used it while his mana is empty then boss dead. Dones. He will use blood eater now to consume the body of the boss to gain some stats, right? No. He just leaves and goes back to town. Author forgot about the skill completely. Fun.
Note:Story, would be interesting, if not for making the character change traits every now and then such as being social than not social or disliking something then actually liking it two paragraphs later. Very inconsistent. But most annoying of all if the constant taking of God’s name in vain. You have a pretty decent vocabulary throughout the first 11 chapters why must you use God’s name in vain almost every 5 paragraphs?
As usual, the problem with most novels nowadays is story progression.MC can't go a day without a major event from happening. MC travels from one place, a major event happens that derails his journey and only reaches his destination after a brutal struggle of life and death. And that only happened in one day! The next day is also the same. While it feels like a lot has happened, in reality it's only been a week since the start of the novel. Fricking bull! Authors don't use time skip very well. For them, every single must be action packed! Anyway, the novel is good so far. Nice lore and world building, and characters. I wish MC could've been a solo player for much longer just with a lot of interaction with other players.
This is overall a great story and I love it I’ve just read comments about the author dropping stories and I’ve read a few too many really good stories that authors don’t finish so please!!! Please don’t drop this one and see it though! Please!! And thank you
hello can you make that everyone past a certain level can tame a beast/monster but only one or two with a item???????????????????????????????????????????
The story is great. The academy arc is actually way more unique than anything I’ve seen due to the video game side of the story, and the romance is actually pretty solid though I hope it avoids unessesary drama cause I’m honestly not a fan of romance drama. And the writing quality is great, though if I had one complaint it would be about a specific type of phrase that the Author uses a lot which is something along the lines of: “little did he know that this decision would put him down a very important path in the future.” And it’s not like there’s anything wrong with using phrases like this, it’s just that the Author uses it a LOT, and it gets kinda repetitive.
This story sounds intriguing! Arthur’s journey in a fully immersive world like Divinity Online is exciting. Looking forward to seeing how it unfolds!
I'm not enjoying this , it's a cliche . An mc with zero ambition , a "will they - won't they" relationship interest and he hides his identity on the rankings , I started this book because I enjoyed the other novels from the author but this is honestly a disappointment so far. imma read a few more chapters to give it a chance but honestly from the setting I've seen so far this book is a cliche of the game genre with a slightly worse protagonist
This is another great novel and I'm really enjoying it but please don't drop Dimension Weaver. Both of these novels are probably in my top 5 current reads and I really want to see how both develop.
I really like the story so far(chap 34). The MC is well written and different from the usual tropes, he fun, and interesting rather than just being a cold calculated character. The writing is also really good with few errors. The only thing I would say, on thing that could use some work is the explanation of the power system, if that makes sense; it feels pretty confusing as he just seems to obtain stat points from killing things and the level ups appear to give random specific stats or bonus stats. Its a little rough on the edges but works. Great story overall 👍.
