Fatigue etched onto his face, Aether understood the magnitude of Vasha's torment. The words that had been spoken had wounded him deeply, almost as much as the loss of Vasili. But upon seeing Vasha punishing himself in the very room where Vasili had shed tears because of him, Aether realized that regret consumed Vasha's heart. He knew that deep down, Vasha did not mean what he had said.

He lashed out at our servants, his anger bordering on the edge of madness. It was clear to anyone who looked at Vasha that he was consumed by devastation, guilt, and self-loathing. The pain he carried was etched on his face, in his every movement.

Sometimes when we're ‘in love’ with a person all we want to do is make sure they're happy and safe so we often make mistakes based on what we feel is right or good for that person, which in turn may cause more harm than good which we originally intended without realizing what we're doing. That's what I think happens in some relationships since I have no experience with them. Hope this helps😊 And please be kind to our Aether and Vasha, they had their reasons which I'm not saying is right but I'm also not justifying it either.
