I may be a new author myself but I cannot help but say that this story is subpar compared to other stories that haven't even busted through 200 chapters. I read this novel to around 250~ chapters because was trying my best to push through all the annoying moments of the MC senselessly adding more women, and girls, to his harem. Albeit to say that my hope was misplaced since this author only sees having multiple women in a relationship with the MC more as set pieces than actual people. That is also not to mention how the author has the MC validate things that happen to him and keep him very naive for a time; even if his character has 'improved' like some say and it happens around 500~ chapters in, it means nothing. Writing a novel like this and making no actual change to the MC until that far in is a terrible way to write. I may be wrong in some parts of my review but that is from what I have read and gathered. This is not including how the author actually sees criticisim as insults and deletes reviews while having spam accounts boost his story with fluffy reviews. If you are into drawn out and subpar writing with women that get some screen time every ten pages because the author knows nothing about moderation and just sees harem tags or the genre in general as 'more women=better', then this story is for you. TLDR; This story is brainrot incarnate. Author is decent with writing, not with actual character interations. That is my piece said, no to see if my review gets deleted; I will even be so bold as to put a number at the end of this since I will post this again is it ends up getting deleted. 1

I honestly forgot about that guy, I just found the family name and liked how it fit. However they are not going to be related. LOL

Angus had to stop to think for a moment before stifling a laugh. It was a bit ridiculous to tell his son this since Cian held two of the most prestigious bloodlines long before Barclay and Van Damme were properly settled into the world. When he was going to continue Cian cut him off with a stern look in his gaze, resolution.

I am honestly disappointed with how this novel has developed. I will admit that I binge read it for a good while only due to some semi-unique concepts and the potential romance between Shiro and Lyrica since it was obvious there was some kind of chemistry between them that was building for a good while. That was until the Gary Stu of the novel came along. I am not even going to make an attempt at remembering his name since he is, at best, a supporting character until the author suddenly began to force interacts with the Gary Stu and Shiro, even writing in a sloppy backstory of how Shiro saved his life and all that just to shoe-horn in the cliche of 'perfect man that only has one woman in his heart' troupe that makes no sense. This is compounded when it is revealed that Shiro has lived three separate lives, her life as Shiro so far, her past when she got the nano machines, and the ice woman, can't remember her actual name. One would think that having such wealth of experiences, especially from her first life, would temper her not to fall in love so swiftly. However that is proved wrong when the author throws her character development into the garbage and forces her character to be a shy and useless girl whenever Gary Stu is around. While I know an author is free to write whatever they wish, it leaves an awful taste in my mouth when my enjoyment of watching a traumatized character slowly work through their struggles for so long only for it to turn into a mediocre and tiring read because the author wanted to force the MC lead from Shiro into Shiro and Gary Stu for no other reason than with the nasty excuse of 'he waited so long for her and it is only natural for her to accept his feelings'. This is not even going into how for a good bit in the beginning of the novel he literally stalked her and was a general pest besides being used as a plot device to drive the story forward, even though he was never needed. TLDR; Novel was good up until when the author forced a shoddy romance between Gary Stu and Shiro into the mix while forsaking an already well built relationship with another character.

New home for the Barclay household.

img

The moving was swift because of the expansion and shrinking charms on their belongings, they even bolstered the runes around the mansion before leaving to keep up a small illusion that they still resided there or used it frequently before settling in an area near the northern part of England's countryside for their privacy to remain, especially with Gwyndolyn using her expertise in runes and charms to fortify their home with the help of Angus. With a new home, the starting of the canon, and excitement to get more knowledge in both magical and non-magical fields Cian has prepared for the future. The official beginning to his journey was now underway.

Went through some names and saw Barclay, it kinda clicked in me so I changed the household name.

A nod of approval was given which gave Cian a sharp prick in his soul at that nod but he was more focused on why he was in this familiar darkness again. The last thing he remembered seeing was two names but he could only remember the first name of both before blacking out from pain. Myrddin and Morgên; weren't those the old names given to Merlin and Morgana la Fay? Why would he have their bloodlines when he was already born into the Barclay household so why would two of the most powerful bloodlines be flowing through him? Was this his cliche gift from Aten?

Kira Simons

The rough looking man that was dressed in a three piece suit that was ruffled and some buttons undone. The man's steel gray eyes monitored the woman called Gwyndolyn, the pair was not alone as another woman was present that was waving a wand, chanting healing spells in order to keep both the baby and Gwyndolyn alive and healthy. The two people were Angus Barclay and Miss Kira Simons; the husband of the pregnant woman and the caretaker of the mansion.

Small family name change for Gwyn; She is now Gwyndolyn Barclay nee Van Damme

In the thick woods, buried in snow rested a large Scottish mansion that had seemingly no footpath leading to it as it was solely isolated, and for good reason. Behind the layers of ancient wards, a six foot tall stone wall that lined the outer area, and deep inside the gray construct were screams of pain and effort. The scream was a tired and worn out pregnant woman with soft, near peach colored eyes that did not belong to any normal person. Her white hair was disheveled and matted from sweat, her hand clutched harshly onto a man that stood beside her, urging her on.

They are from Pinterest. I tend to just scour their selections until something catches my eye that fits the image in my head.
