how?
Whatever… if she wishes not to, then I wish not to either. Still, I was confident that there will come a day where the two of us will be peaches and cream once again but until that day comes… well, there's always television.

Im not very interested in Helmas point of view, not anymore anyway. Sort of lost interest around when the the last people i followed (mc's parents) died off-screen, not really feeling much investment anymore in his family you know?
this is entertaining
This is a good explanation. However i agree with the commenter that it should have been made clear. The mc absolutely did what he did while he couldnt feel emotions. But that shouldve been clarified better in the story. I didnt realize the mc would go that far until he did it, and I wouldve never known he felt such desperation because you never wrote about in the story. It was jarring, and still is.
"I feel alive! So, this is what it means to have a body." Jyorta muttered, clenching his hands, feeling the sense of touch. It was a wonder; the world around him was huge and finally, he could take in its grandeur, through his own eyes.

I dont know man. This feels kind of meh. The drama isn't really written dramatically. Im interested in seeing the mcs perspective in the matter of like "does my father even care" etc. This feels as if its written as just a prelude before the actual story. Id much rather actually have this be interesting. Sorry if I missread how this beginning was written but i really dont feel like this part of the story "matters" for anything else than a shallow introduction to the characters in the story.
I wish this book and those like it would stop insisting on writing from the perspective of the villains, as if it makes them sympathetic and heightens the stakes.
