Why did she collapse? Quirk erasure doesn't have any side effects like that and mc has specifically trained for years so she can't have low endurance on her own quirk, especially since her quirk isn't energy demanding to begin with.

The first quirk appeared during the modern era (vaguely between or possibly after the 20th and 21st centuries) and Mha is set centuries after that. For this character to be so old that speakers are a foreign concept he would need to have been born at least a century before quirks were a thing. It's a simpler and more canon friendly explanation that he's from some extremely impoverished area of a developing nation and likewise never received an education nor experience with most modern tech. Other than that everything's been good so far.
