The hilt of a sword is the grip, pommel and guard section, as such it makes little sense to say the blade was still inside the handle, making it more likely they meant sheath or scabbard as the sword was not drawn yet. Please check things before you come out guns blazing and acting like an ass, no need to have that unprovoked attitude.

Personally I find italics better to read for separating internal dialog from spoken text over making the text bold, it is more reserved and feels more 'internal'. Whereas bold is for making something stand out and 'loud'. Reading as is, it felt like going over speed bumps while reading and broke the smoothness of the story. Otherwise great chapter, looking forward to seeing how the story progresses and I have thoroughly enjoyed binging it over the past couple weeks.
