 Henry was freaking out and also learn that he fell from a building as he tried to get his manga, which fell at the balcony's edge as it was raining he was so worried about manga getting wet that he slipped and fell from the balcony before he could reach the manga.
As he fell from the balcony, the wind was roaring in his ear and he was screaming like pig being slaughtered as rains was mixed with his tears and snots ..but slowly time seem to slow as he drew nearer to the floor, his mind racing..thinking about all the things and his browser history and stuff and knowing he could die he started to wishing if he ever was reborn he wish he could be born in those fantasies worlds of animes and have a system with which he would roamed the worlds do different things everyday to be entertaining himself.

After adding the announcement, he settled down and began to draw "Guide To Campus RoMANce". He basically ignored the live comments and did not talk, only humming along to his music at times.
Soon, the stream had over 300,000 viewers and more were still flowing in. Seeing that tonight's content was solely manga, several of them left. No matter how fast Meng Fan's drawing skills were, not everyone was interested in watching. Compared to this, they preferred more direct and interactive live stream content.

On this particular day, he had finally caught up with the manhua/manga releases of "Tales of Demons and Gods[TDG] " by Mad Snail. He really liked the manga, but he wanted more. So, he searched on Google about similar stories and he found "Otherworldly Evil Monarch [OEM] ". He got curious because the name sounded badass and it seemed like it was not going to be a story where the protagonist keeps on spouting sh¡t about righteousness and slaying evil and protecting the weak and stuff as it had the word "EVIL" in it. He thought that its dumb and he had the adequate reasons to think like that. After all, who in their right mind would risk his life to save a girl who he does not even know properly . It is not even realistic and how in the world can the protagonist be so selfless and so dense when it came to matters of love. It is as if he was hit by a rock in his infancy and his brain was permanently damaged.
After he was done cursing the cliché Manga, he started searching for the manga of OEM. A while later did he came to the realization that OEM does not have a manga. It is actually a novel which is posted online and the chapters are released frequently, and these novels are known as "Webnovels". He also got to know that TDG was originally also a webnovel but since it got really popular, it was transformed into a manga and the animation of TDG was along the way as well.
The name of this guy is Weed.

(as we all know that I, the author has the power to pause this novel world by snapping my fingers, and I will break the 4th wall and this was mentioned in the previous chapter and this is the last time it would be mentioned.
Moving on, as well all know that Japanese are considered as really polite, humble, caring about others etc. people (E/N: Except you) and it is true. Until this guy made an appearance. This character, Weed was meant to be born in U.S.A. or any other western country but God made some mistake and he ended up being born in Japan.
If you are wondering about why his name is Weed, and not some other Japanese names like Hijikata, Kemamaki, etc (E/N: I've never even heard of these names in anime or manga), then I should suggest you to stop being a racist because it is not necessary for a guy to have a Japanese name if he is born in Japan. Actually he was given a good name which was a Japanese name but when he became an adult, he changed it to the thing he liked the most, and that is weed. Although he has never smoked weed but that is an entirely different topic. This guy can not be considered polite. Screw being polite, he constantly curses as if they are verbs and without his "verbs", he cannot complete his sentences. He is a degenerate scum of society and also has this constant urge of pissing everyone off as if the whole world is his enemy. He does not care about anyone but himself, and he does not give a damn about anyone's feelings. He thinks that facts do not care about feelings and prefers facts and logic over anything. He considers himself as an anti-social extrovert. He is 19 year old NEET and wastes his time looking at memes, watching anime and reading manga. He is a racist (E/N: rapist *cough cough*) to the core and will do anything to get on the nerves of others. We will get other information about him later on as the story progresses. He is also not the protagonist of this novel as I have said previously that communism is Supreme in such cases and so, everyone is a protagonist here.
Weed never had a problem in reading a story because he is into Manga a lot so he decided to give OEM a try. He searched for the places where he could read OEM and this was that moment where he got to know about the top dog in webnovel society. The corporate known and "QIDIAN". With some excitement and slight anticipation, (which is very rare by the way) he downloaded the application of Qidian and jumped straight away into the reading OEM. He kept reading and was so hooked that he eventually lost the track of time. After almost 5 hours of continuous reading, he finally closed the app because his stomach was not much happy and showed its discontent by a making a slight yet audible noise(he is hungry for fuck's sake). He got up and went outside his room to make some cup noodles for himself.
After pleasing his beloved belly, he started the app again, but instead of reading the novel, he decided to check other features of the app. He saw various novels of different genres, some novels even caught his attention and he added them into his reading list. He eventually stumbled upon the forum section and clicked on it. There he saw that a group of qidian was made on Facebook and anyone was welcome to submit their application to join it. 
Since Weed already had his Facebook account, he decided to fill the application to join the Facebook group since he did not had anything else to do. Along with the fact that he might get some good novel recommendations in that group. After that he continued reading OEM. After 13 days, his application was accepted and he was a member of the Facebook group of qidian.

"Eh? Uhh..k-kinda." Indeed, those few, insignificant lines that sensei had spouted just now was awfully familiar. It brought back some long-forsaken memories from the day just before yesterday. At this point, I could already take a wild guess to why I was asked to stay behind. "That's the essay I wrote for Tomura-sensei's class if I remember correctly. What about it?"

 

"Tomura-sensei asked me to deal with this since I'm both your homeroom teacher and a guidance counselor. Tsk." At that instance, sensei's face broke into annoyance, turning to her side as she pretended to spit on the floor. We were inside a building so it's only natural that she didn't really do it. "Facts?" Sensei smirked. "If you ask me, the thoughts in your essay is filled with nothing but your mere opinions. I'm pretty sure that anyone who would read this would also think the same." At that very moment, a somewhat triumphant expression came over sensei's face, as if declaring her victory to the whole human population.

 

There was a part of me that felt defeat, while another part felt like throwing a rebuttal. But for some reason, it felt like any form of retort would only be put in vain with this woman. Unfortunately, I wasn't the type of person to step down on an argument.

 

"Uhh, well..I can't really argue with that.." I said, avoiding sensei's eyes with a shrug. "But sensei, wouldn't you agree if I were to tell you that facts merely came about from people's opinions?"

 

"Hm?" Sensei slightly tilted her head in confusion, a puzzeled look on her face. "What are you trying to say here?"

 

"I'm sure that famous theories that are taught in class, and even established scientific laws that we currently believe in were once mere thoughts in some person's mind that sprung out of curiosity. It was from their opinion that they shared with fellow men in their field, that the world is the way it is today. So it would be wrong if my essay were to get denied right here and now."

 

As soon as I finished my piece, I turned to sensei and looked her square in the eyes, only to be welcomed by a slightly taken back Yasuhara-sensei, a repulsed expression playing on her face. W-what, was my words too convincing that you felt my true powers sensei? G-good to know.

 

"You…" Sensei murmured, "If your essay were to play a role in the development of society, then I'm sure this world would be a real dark place with that twisted outlook of yours.." 

 

"Heh- this world is already dark enough with all the stuff that's happening around. I don't see how my highly self-aware thoughts would be able to make it even worse. In fact, I'm pretty confident that my essay would even make others more aware of their short-comings and probably make them pursue the path of betterment, if I do say so myself. "

 

"I see," Sensei affirmed, "So now you're trying to change the world huh. Aren't you aiming too high for someone such as yourself? Even if a notebook that enables you to do so would randomly fall in front of you right now, do you think you can handle such a huge responsibility?"

"I guess you could say that. Although, I'm not really inclined toward the 'changing the world' part. I don't really give a damn about the world after all. I'd rather use the note to finish off those popular types that always seem to always get on my nerves." Seriously, who do you think they are, celebrities? You always had to do as they say and had go along with their shit. And when you went against them, they'd make you enemy number one in class. What's with that anyway. Even I wouldn't treat celebrities like royalty.

Hearing sensei's remark, a loud smirk found its way in between my lips, forcing out this conceitedly huge grin to surface this very world.

 

"Sensei, including myself in the carefree majority would only spell trouble in more ways than one. They give you this sense of guilt each time you went against them even though you're in the right, and they'd also force you to go along with their shenanigans, only to leave you behind to make you their scapegoat. Also, they're pretty good actors if I do say so myself. They act this certain way while you have your eyes turned on them, then act another once you turn your back away. If they could switch from one role to another in such a short period of time then I'm pretty sure they could get nominated for an Oscar with that kind of acting. In other words, they're practically placing a hell lotta pressure on you in exchange for an ensured spot with their carefree group. It doesn't seem like a practical choice." I took a short pause to catch my breath, pointing my index finger up to further assert my point. "In conclusion, secluding myself from the rest of the world would not only spare me from going through that stupid excuse of acceptance, but would also guarantee me a safe and peaceful life at the same time. So by any means, it's the best course of action to take."

 

As I finished defending my stand, I lifted my eyes and met sensei's gaze. And contrary to my expectation, sensei's face showed no sign of astonishment or amazement after hearing my nobel prize-worthy speech. Instead, she had one eyebrow raised as she sent me this rather sharp glare.

 

"So in short, you're basically running away from the problem, correct?"

 

"Uhh…well, I'd prefer to avoid calling it that. It's more of a tactical retreat...or a strategic play if you may." Indeed, calling it running away would definitely make it sound like I'm Mayweather or something, which is why it musn't be called that at all costs. 

 

"Ohh.." Sensei crossed her arms below her firm chest in an exasperated way, once again lifting those huge signs of adulthood along with it. It made my eyes look away as they got immediately drawn back by her older-woman charms. Gulp. "Humility is one thing, and self-depreciation is another...I don't know if I should feel sad about what I just heard or amazed."

 

"I'd actually prefer it if you stayed neutral about it.."

 

For a good five seconds, there was this aggravating silence that fell over the two of us. No words were able to escape my mouth, nor were there any words that would seem to slip out of sensei's as well. She didn't move an inch from where she stood, and so did I. She just stood there, staring dubiously at me for the first three seconds, whipped her gaze to her wrist watch for the fourth, and threw them back at me for the fifth. 

 

"Hiraoka, do you have a club that you should be attending right now?"

 

"Ahh..not re-"

 

"Ahh, my bad. I was stupid to ask." Sensei interjected, cutting me off mid-sentence. "If it's you we're talking about here then I'm sure you don't."

 

"O-ohh.."

 

So it was already a given huh…

 

"I actually have an appointment with another one of your kind, so I think it'd be best if we continue things there."

 

"Umm…I actually have plans after school." I paused, "Also, another one of my kind? What are you trying to say here sensei."

 

Ignoring my words and my very existence, sensei walked ahead in a rather slow haste. And as soon as she reached the corridor, she turned to me with a look that said 'follow me or I'll break your ribs' with her mere eyes alone. It was seriously scary so I just had to go along.

 

With a terse sigh directed toward this cruel mistress called fate, I stepped one foot forward and decided to follow suit, blindlessly walking toward an inevitable fate with wavering resolve.

 

There's seriously something wrong with this system.

There are two people walking side by side and both of them stood out like a sore thumb in these crowd street.
One is a beauty like that of a princess or a daughter from a rich family while another one is a handsome guy that emitted a special kind of aura surrounding him.
Both standing beside each other seems like something coming out of drama to the one staring at them.
The guys were staring because of envy while the girls were staring out of jealousy.

Since the vampire didn't know the cause of it, He just ignored it.
The beauty has noticed the stare from others but chooses to ignore since she's already used to it.
But today, beauty feels like there are a lot of eyes on her than a normal day.
The beauty is called Sera Landfall.
The handsome guy beside her is Sebastian Winstanley.
Sera was currently on her way back to her Mother's house.

" They are some that can be considered that but the one you're reading now is not it. "

She seems to notice something as she saw a flash of light from his eyes and so she has to say this, no matter what.

No matter how interested he got into it, she won't get it.
Even though she's wealthy enough that a single manga won't cost anything to her.
She still insisted on not buying it.
She has a very bad premonition that she would regret it later.

It's a very complicated feeling.

I don't know much on what people back in your day used as their transportation but let just pick one example which is a carriage.
It works just the same as carriage which is to carry people to their destination.
The long one is called a bus.
It is public transportation that all general people could have a ride but you have to pay for it.
The one that is longer than the bus is called a train.
It is also the same as the bus which is public transportation but this one is faster than the bus.
That short one where only two or three people could ride is called a motorcycle.

( What is this black box that has sealed a human inside its thin body? )

Pfft— she almost laughs at his word before she stopped herself.
It took her a few minutes to do that before explained it to him about the magical box.
It's not a box and the human aren't sealed inside of it.
It's called Television.
I don't know much detail on how it works, so this is the only thing that I could tell.

You can watch any show that the human/producer created with their own team/crew, there might be also a show about Vampire.
You could also watch news about a certain famous idol scandal, a certain artist was accused of drug or a certain case of murder and etc.

And so, An annoying vampire keeps on asking her a lot of questions about this or that.
She understood why he asked all these questions as he did just wake up from his thousand of a year worth of sleep.
So it's normal that one would be shocked if everything surrounding them has changed from the one of what they know.
It's a mystery how he is still alive after all that.
Sera just think of it as a perk of being the only Vampire from what he said.
So she was forced to explain it one by one from A to Z of everything.
That makes her more exhausted than the time she spent on her studies.

When such being was born, Gaia has fallen into a deep sleep.

 

True Ancestor, The King of Night and The Creator of Kin, with it's powerful abilities was able to finally sealed Demon God into a Different Dimension with the supported from Human and it's Kin.

 

The human and True Ancestor finally bring peace to the Chaotic World.
But that was not the end of it.

The dinner was great Miu and Shirahama family laughed happily. It was the first time for Miu to laugh with a normal family as she never had lived with one.


"Miu if Kenichi ever hurts you even a little tell me I will help you to make him sorry" said Saori.


"Hey Mom what are you saying!? How can I ever hurt Miu!?" said Kenichi.


"Ok ok don't fight now, Kenichi it's already quite late you should go and drop Miu to her house" said Matsumoto.


"Yes dad I was going to drop her by my bike" said Kenichi as he stood up to take the key and helmet.


"Let's go Miu" said Kenichi to Miu.



"Ok" said Miu as she stood up said her goodbyes to the Shirahama family and picked up her Teddy bear while wearing the helmet.



Kenichi and Miu took of from Kenichi's house and went towards Ryozanpaku Dojo. It was already night time so Everyone was worrying about Miu though not everyone showed it on their face as only Apachai and Shigure were waiting near the door.


Kenichi dropped Miu near the dojo.When Miu was going to give back the helmet Kenichi stopped her and said "Keep it I had bought that helmet for you so that we could go on drive together" 


Miu blushed when she heard what Kenichi said but nodded her head accepting Kenichi's request.


"You should go know everyone must be hungry since none of them know much about cooking" said Kenichi while smiling.


"Ahhh...! I almost forgot about it, Moo Kenichi you should have dropped me earlier, bye now" said Miu while complaining a little and running towards Ryozanpaku.


Kenichi smiled looking at her back view started his bike and went away from there.


The moment Miu reached the door it was opened and Apachai and Shigure came infront of Miu.


"Miu, Apachai is hungry" said Apachai.


"Ah sorry Mr. Apachai I will make dinner for everyone right now" said Miu



"It's ok Miu came back, Apachai thought you left us" said Apachai.



"Did Kensei Ma disturbed you much tell me I will cut him" said Shigure.



"Hey I didn't do anything like that, she is late because of her date" Said Kensei Ma coming from behind some bushes trying to take pictures of Shigure's panties which ofcourse he failed.



"Ok ok she has came back we should all go inside" said Akisame coming out of the shadows.



"Tch, so it was just a date" said Sakaki who came from behind a tree.


"Who was the date with?" said Hayato coming out of nowhere.



"I also have such a great family don't I Kenichi" thought Miu in her mind.



"Ok let's go inside I will cook something for you all" said Miu smilingly as she ran towards the kitchen.



"Looks like she really had a great day today" said Akisame when he looked at Miu's smile.


"Hmnp it must have been that Kenichi I will warn him tomorrow about this" said Hayato Furiniji as he went Inside followed by the rest.


NEXT DAY


Kenichi woke up in the morning and got ready to go to Kotogawa shonen (KS) which is now at a decline due to loss of good stories and manga's. Kenichi had already decided to help them rise up again and become a pillar of their support making him indispensable for the company.


Kenichi put one of his manga that he had wrote in the past and a story of a book in his bag and picked up his bike keys to go to the KS



"Mom I am going outside" said Kenichi to his Mom as he went out of the door.



"Ok son take care" said Saori.



Kenichi started his bike and went towards the(KS). After reaching the company building Kenichi straight away went towards the receptionist.


"Hello is there something I can help you with" the receptionist asked while having a red hue around her cheeks due to Kenichi being too handsome cause of which the receptionist thought of serving him well.


"Yes I want to submit my work, so can you help me" asked Kenichi smilingly.


"Yes I will help you, right away" said the receptionist while calling the editors office, since today was Sunday there weren't many people's in the office but since someone was here to submit there work they will not want them to wait for long.


Kenichi only waited for 5 minutes and saw a young man in glasses in his mid 20s.

"Hello sir my name is Ryuto Kaguchi an editor here in Kotogawa Shonen , are you the one who wanted to submit his work"

"Yes, I am Kenichi Shirahama" said Kenichi.


"Please let me check" Ryuto said with longing in his eyes.


"Sure why not" said Kenichi and bringing both the novel as well as the Manga from his bag and showed it to Ryuto.

"I have a novel here and a manga I would like you to check the manga first" said Kenichi as he passed the Manga to Ryuto. The manga was Fairy Tail one of the best manga's of all time in his previous world.

"Yes" said Ryuto as he started reading the manga. 

"Fairy Tail it's Looks interesting" thought Ryuto when he read the name.

Ryuto's hands were shaking after reading the manga which will change the manga world. 

"Shirahama-sensei please let us publish your work" said Ryuto.

"Would you not call me Shirahama and Kenichi instead" said Kenichi.


"kenichi-sensei please let us publish your work" said Ryuto once again.

"Sure but what about the contract, don't we have to sign that" said Kenichi.


"Yes, please wait here I will call my superior" saying that Ryuto took of to call his superior.


After 10 minutes Ryuto came with another man "Here he is boss" said Ryuto while pointing towards Kenichi.

"Hello Kenichi-sensei my name is Minato and I am the head of the company and we want to publish your work" said Minato.


"Ofcourse you can but I have to talk about the contract and royalties that I will get" said Kenichi


"Yes, we will give you 18% royalty for know and with the sales of the manga it will increase how's that" said Minato. The amount of royalty was too big for a newbie.

"I agree" said Kenichi without hesitation as he knew that it was good enough for him for know.

"I almost forgot, I also brought a book to submit" said Kenichi while he showed the book to Minato.



"Highschool Dxd, a catchy name it is" thought Minato but after reading it he looked at Kenichi and asked "This-This book is great it includes the fantasies of men, though it's for children above 17 but I know it will be a big hit, so Sensei what about the next Volume"


"Relax I have already written 2 &3rd volume of it" said Kenichi.


"Sensei please let us publish it as well, we will give 19% royalty for this one" said Minato.

"Ok I agree, but are you sure you wanna publish them together won't the market of both clash together" asked Kenichi.

"Not at all instead it will complement each other, the one who read the manga will like to read your other work and the one who reads your book will also think the same" said Minato.

"OK then, actually I have made the images of the lead characters as in the whole Peerage of Rias Gremory ofcourse, so that it will be helpful in the marketing of the book"

"What!? then please show us, I was going to ask someone to make the pictures of them but since you have it we don't even need to go anywhere else" Minato said.

Ok" Kenichi said and took out separate pictures of Issei Hyodo, Rias Gremory, Asia Argento, Akeno Himejima, Koneko Toujou and Yuto Kiba and also a group picture of them standing together.

Minato and Ryuto both were amazed by the images of these characters and couldn't utter a word.

"These are the members of Rias's Peerage in the first volume when you reach the second volume I will design the character of the new members introduce in the volume" Kenichi said.


"Yes, thank you sensei" said Minato happily as Thier workload would reduce.

"And one more thing I don't want to use my real name ias pen name instead it should be Son Wukong" said Kenichi.

"Oh yes I also think it will be perfect" said Minato while thinking "Which idiot will tell your identity to the world".


After the contract was signed both parties were happy from it....

Luck wasn't on his side as when he was just few steps away from becoming the world champion in karate he was killed by his by his opponents scheme who was afraid to fight against him and wanted the cup. But he was once again given a chance to reborn as Kenichi Shirahama and become the strongest martial artist.

A beautiful dark haired goddess dressed in what looked like white Japanese styled clothing sat in front of me. She was lazily laying across a huge chair - her bare feet sticking up in the air while she was reading a child's manga from my childhood. I didn't realize there were still more volumes being published, how could I when I was always holed up in my room.

 Speaking of which -- where was I? This place was definitely not my room. It was dark, with the only light coming from the beautiful woman who looked like she would never age.

"Erm," My voice was louder than what I anticipated it to be. Even so her aqua-green eyes didn't look away from the manga. I was going to try again but she suddenly laughed.

She laughed at a manga meant for kids. A beautiful woman - no a goddess, was laughing at a kids manga. Her voice was so soft yet echoed against the blank empty dark room that had a huge white sigil on the floor. The room didn't even seem like a room - it was so spacious & seemed to be endless. 

"Human entertainment is very. . . entertaining!" She then finally realized my presence causing her smile to fade into a scowl. "Hmph, I'm on break! Why were you directed to me!?" She asked like I would know the answer. She didn't bother to sit upon the large chair, she just threw the manga onto the floor which shifted into a black ocean. The manga became soaked as it was slowly absorbed into the black sea. "Your Name. . . ?" She sighed playing with the white glove on her left hand; her right hand didn't have a glove.

"O-Oh!" For some strange reason I couldn't recall my name, only the previous life that I had. It took me a good 5 minutes trying to think of what my name was. What the hell. . . ? Why couldn't I remember?

"'Kay, looks like I gotta name you." She bit the collar of her white glove not thinking for too long. She swiped down with her barefoot which brought up a virtual menu with just two extremely short paragraphs and a quite embarrassing picture of me smiling awkwardly. "16, Japanese, NEET. . ." She hummed as she read a few parts of the short paragraphs. "Ah! Death Caused: Suicide. . ." The beautiful goddess chuckled as she read the rest. I couldn't help but blush with embarrassment.

I didn't have a very interesting life - those two short paragraphs she was reading proved that. I stopped going to school after my grandfather died; my parents were always going on oversea trips so I barely saw them. They probably think I'm alive and still attending school. They were just that clueless and uncaring. Now that I think about it; I feel incredibly bad for how I went out.

I just killed myself without even leaving a note or the reason why. I didn't have anyone to call and say goodbye so it would be a while before someone notices that I'm dead in my apartment complex. How long until a corpse begins to rot?? I remember searching that up on my school computer, and also getting in trouble for it by my teacher.

"Renki Sakeme." 

Her words snapped me back into whatever world I was in. The name that left her pale pink lips were extremely foreign to me. I couldn't remember my name but the name she was telling me was not mine. I was afraid of going against her though, what if she thought I was challenging her??

"So?" She was annoyed by my silence. I couldn't believe I had gotten her mad because I did nothing. . . well I did do nothing! Her mood changes were the scariest thing I've encountered.

"Well, um, that's not my name. . ."

"Well obviously, dumbass!" She was even more annoyed. She must really like people who can catch on quickly because she hated how slow I was trying to process everything. You'd think she would understand, since I just - you know, died. I could have been on a whole different planet for all I knew. "I am Irokōu; one of many Goddesses that will help you on your reincarnation journey." She began to explain.

"Re. . . Reincarnation?? What if I-"

"Shush!" Irokōu placed a finger on her pink-tinted lips. She then sat up to face me, with a serious expression on her beautiful pale face. "You do not have the choice of refusing. You have been selected for the chance to get reincarnated, not many people with your death get chosen." When Irokōu referred to my death, a pain expression appeared on her face - but only for a couple of seconds. 

It may be selfish of me, but I don't want the chance of reincarnation. I chose to take my life, so why did it matter? Why was I getting a second chance for a decision made? I thought reincarnation was for the unlucky ones who deserved a second chance, I had nothing going for me in my past life.

"Stop that! Stop thinking like that right now!" Irokōu jumped gracefully off her large seat. She landed on top of the weird black ocean thing, causing a small splash but no water could be seen, yet her pale feet were enveloped in the dark liquid. "My friend Tenka used to think like that. . ." Her voice became shaky, like she was about to cry. "I have no idea if she still does. . ."

"Irokōu?" I called out her name without thinking. She was just standing in front of me with her head down leaving us in awkward silence. Something happened before she became a Goddess, but why would she tell someone like me?

"That's Goddess Irokōu to you! Goddess, you hear!?" 

Irokōu placed her hands on her hips suddenly. Her large breast bounced with the sudden action, but I pretended not to notice. I looked like a total pervert. 

"I'm sending you to the Alternative World. You brought up such bad memories, I'm sending you without letting you know a single thing! Just don't get killed on your first day and you'll be fine!" She then snapped her fingers with her gloved hand which summoned floating pillar-like stairs to her chair. She jumped on one of the third steps looking back at me with a frown. "You are Number 29!" Irokōu snapped her fingers again, I felt a slight burn under my orange eyes. "Hmph!" She smiled as I began to sink to the bottom of the black ocean.

"Woah! What the hell!?" My body was sinking faster and faster with each breath I took. "Iro- Goddess Irokōu!? What's happening!?" I questioned but she just waved her hand and smiled. 

"Your Ability is called Parallel, got that? Just scream that word if you think you're gonna die.."

"Wh-what!?"

My whole body was then engulfed in the black sea and was quickly falling down to what I assumed was the, 'Alternative World.'

When Barda got a good look at his opponents, he realized that the middle river-snake was 40 meters from head to tail, rising to 4 meters tall. It was essentially bigger than all the others, and the other 2 stood as though they were the beast's bodyguards. 

Barda immediately dispelled his five conjurations. He did not plan on taking the beasts on himself, he just needed a change of strategy. 

Barda produced 3 humanoid Fire Elementals, each having 20% Magical Energy. He then armed one Elemental with a sword and another with a spear.

Watching the Elementals approach, the beasts charged at them with reckless abandon. They had the air of tyranny about them as if nothing could get at them. Normally, Barda would have sneered at this, but now all he could do was shudder. 

Although Barda was trying to do his best to remain hidden, he had to take advantage whenever he could. He took out his assault rifle and equipped a silencer. He then fired six times. The beasts squealed and tumbled. Barda had shot out their eyes. 

Not giving them a moment's respite, Barda charged the Elementals to attack the wounded river-snakes. Barda was in a hurry to end the fight.

Unfortunately for him, the river-snakes were not easily bullied. Spinning while still on the ground, they spat out purplish liquid at the offending Elementals. 

Tssst. 

The moment the liquid came into contact with the Elementals, it was transformed into a dark purple mist, significantly reducing the size of the Elementals. However, 20% was no small thing, it could only slow down not stop the attackers. 

What baffled Barda was that no matter how well he ducked, the enemy still managed to acquire and hit him. Even blinded, the beasts still managed to find their targets. 

That was when it hit Barda, all reptiles had a section under their nasal cavity meant for detecting heat signatures, and these were Fire Elementals. In front of the river-snakes, these Elementals lit up like a Christmas tree. 

At first, Barda wanted to take out these organs, but then if he did, these things could go wild and start firing aimlessly. While he wasn't sure the fire could get to him, he was not stupid enough to think himself invincible. The Elementals were not affected, so why not use them. 

Moving like parkour experts, Barda's Elementals closed the distance between them and the river-snakes in no time. Despite the toughness of the beasts' scales, Barda's onslaught and the heat of the blade tore through the scales like a hot knife through butter.

Barda did not stop there. He transformed the Elementals into 2 trebuchets and started firing fireballs at the remaining river-snakes. He had one Elemental stand guard to cater for any that got too close. 

As it turned out, this was an unnecessary precaution. After watching their King fall, the river-snakes were terrified of Barda and his Elementals and would not get anywhere near them. Barda was pleasantly surprised to see the body of the 3 large river-snakes disintegrate, and he went to collect the essences. 

He was conflicted about whether he should consume them or not, but on remembering what happened last time, he decided to wait until he was in a secure location.

Upon reaching the second floor, Barda was shocked by what he saw. Instead of the large hall, the second floor seemed as though he was in open grassland. He could still make out a cave on the other end, which he assumed was the exit. 

Barda summoned 3 of his Elementals to surround him like bodyguards as he looked for trouble. He was feeling encouraged since he was in the grasslands. Whatever the next challenge would be, it would not be river-snakes. 

His smile froze as he watched the white blobs emerge from the forest. They looked like eggs only they were half a meter tall. They looked like human heads but their faces had a clown's makeup. 

Barda's face that had been smiling suddenly transformed into horror. Even now he recognized these figures. 

As a child, one of the local toymakers on the planet decided to shut down the production of a brand on account of low purchase. however, they still had loads of toys in their warehouses, so they gave to the destitute. 

These toys were in the form of a local comedian who had gained some fame, Duh-Duh the clown. However, instead of being appealing to the masses, children were scared of them, and little Barda was no exception. 

He remembered the nightmares that he would have, making him wake up screaming bloody murder. In his dreams, he was in some grassland and giant Duh-Duh the clown doll was coming to eat him. He never did find out what the doll would do or how it would attack. 

Even now he waited to see the form of attack his brain would think of. He figured out that to fish such a personal memory, the hall was simulating events based on his memories. That would also explain why there was an open grassland inside a castle. 

Without much ado, Barda conjured 3 wyverns and sent them carving their way through the multitude, he wasn't even giving them a chance to attack. Just like that Barda cleared the first 10 floors of the castle.

A ballista bolt struck hard at a group of soldiers advancing to meet the invaders. The ordinance tip exploded on impact, sending the group sprawling, some with lost limbs. 

In the cloud of smoke that ensued, a horse dashed out. On it rode a man wielding an assault rifle. Commander Manga was on fire as he rode through the city square, stomping at anyone in his path. His focus was not on these, so he was not firing. 

At a hundred meters away, the horse he was riding was shot down, sending him tumbling on the ground. He quickly got up, grateful that his weapons were all strapped to him, none got lost. 

Before rushing the palace, he took a moment to look at his men. Their performance was impressive. They looked like regular GIs, charging the enemy with fury. 

Fired up by what he saw, Manga made his way to the palace. Already, some of his men had stormed the castle, clearing the path for him. Barda gunned down any enemy in his path, and within the hour, he got word: The palace was clear. 

"Any sign of the monarch?"

"None, My Lord."

"That sly old bird, she abandoned her city?" Commander Manga was hit by disappointment. No wonder the city as so easy to capture. 

"Send word to the King, have the captains gather to me," Manga commanded as he went to the throne room. For a moment, he was tempted to sit on it, feel how it feels to be at the top of the mountain.

Meanwhile, at the summit of the tower, Barda had the same feeling of an anticlimax as he approached the table. 

It had been arduous work grinding each floor. On every floor, he met something that had given him some form of fright in his past. In some cases, he encountered some undead,  vampires, and werewolves. In some cases, he had to fight in dizzying heights, while in others, he fought underwater, negating his use of Elementals. 

With each increase in level, the complexity and combat standards of the mobs increased. None of these posed any problem for Barda as he was able to quickly lay them to waste. On every floor, he fought a boss with a few subordinates and from them, he would reap some essences. 

Finally, on the top floor, Barda felt that all this had been too easy. Surely he couldn't be so overpowered that he could bully his way through a contest that has lasted for generations. He had to admit he was feeling underwhelmed, but he still couldn't find the key. 

Looking at the table, he saw inscriptions on it, which looked like instructions. They were telling him to place the essences collected onto the table, which Barda obliged. The essences started forming around each other, like pieces to a jigsaw puzzle. 

They melted together to form one giant sphere, which then morphed into a key. Just as Barda was about to reach for it, the key moved on its own and inserted itself into what looked like a keyhole on the table. 

Incredibly, Barda watched as the table opened and brilliant light shot out. The next moment, the light was sucking him into another dimension.

"How are you, Lady Gwendolynn?" Lord Otto asked. 

"What do you expect, she just lost her city?" Lord Falk barked, "and mine is next!"

"Patience brother, we will pay Tristan back a hundredfold," Lord Otto consoled. 

"That's easy for you to say, it's not your city that's been," Lady Gwendolynn answered. 

The King of Reuze shot a glance at the Prince of Gumina before saying, "We all have had to make sacrifices."

"Unlike some of us, the sacrifices we make do not make us Kings!" Lady Gwendolynn shot back. 

"Enough!" The Prince of Gumina shouted, "The preparations are nearly done. Vengeance will be bitter!"
