Three days had passed since the day 
Akash killed the barren giant.He woke up at 5 A.m. to the sound of his alarm and quickly went to freshen up,getting ready for his morning run.He wore a blue tracksuit quickly and by the time he was done getting ready the clock had reached 5:30.He kept his yoga mat in a bag and left it at the main gate.He went to the living room and searched the cabinet for the key to the house.He opened the lock and placed the key back from where he took it.
He then went to his sister's room to wake her up so that she could close the door.He said while shaking her,"Hey!...Sis!.Wake up,wake up.Come close the door quick or I'll be late and my spot will be taken.Hey! don't go back to sleeping again.Come close the door."
She opened her eyes drowsily and woke up with a start after being shaken.She reluctantly went to close the door from inside while grumbling that he was at his old game again.He would at first be all pumped up and filled with resolve to change his lifestyle to a healthier one but after experiencing hardship for a day or two will go back to being like a sloth,lying around lazily on the bed, refusing doing any chores, wanting to spend time in leisure.Akash ignored her grumbling and quickly moved past the gate and after watching her close the door properly,he left towards DDA park.
The park was quite close to his home with about 1.5 Km between both of them,just the right distance for a light morning jog.He had started to like jogging in the morning.Breathing fresh air in the morning felt good and it felt particularly nice when the cold breeze caressed the face.He felt like he could concentrate much better than normal in such an environment.The areas he passed by on the route to the park were very different from 2 years ago when he used to go to the park with his cousin.Almost everything had changed except a few familiar places.The shop which used to be a fast food store had changed into a general store.The black coloured dog that barked at everyone from the balcony of a house was no longer there.Akash heaved a sigh when he couldn't find all the sights familiar to him but at least the temple of goddess Durga was still there.Akash held his hands together to pray before continuing his jog towards the park.
It was at 6 that he reached the park.A lot of people had gathered by then and they had started doing yoga.Akash took out his yoga mat and joined the others in doing yoga.
Yoga was the excercise he had decided on in the end after researching various activities as he felt that it led to the best possible all around development of the body that he found necessary to improve health.Yoga was a gem that was perfected by sadhus in ancient India and could be described as a healthy way of life.Yoga could induce the harmony of body,mind and spirit.Yoga can lessen chronic pains like lower back pain, arthritis,headaches and carpal tunnel syndrome.It can also lower blood pressure and reduces insomnia,a cause of concern for the former night owl,Akash.It improves the flexibility of the body,reduces weight,increases muscle strength and tone,improves respiration,energy and vitality,maintains balanced metabolism,boosts immune system,improves athletic performance,cardio and circulatory health and the best of all...it helps in managing stress.
As 2020 had turned into a year of calimities there was no lack of people suffering from stress.After all,it was really difficult to stay calm when the whole world had turned into a disaster zone.Even though monster emergence had dwindled through the days,no one knew of their origin even now.Everyone felt scared at the way they inexplicably appeared in the cities.Their dead bodies were being researched on but no news had been released regarding any research results.Akash already had a feeling that the somewhat mystical appearance of monsters in little amounts was not the end.
Akash started with surya namaskar and then switched to tadasan, chakrasan, ardhmatsyendrasan and halasan.He switched between various asanas until about an hour and a half had passed.By the time he had finished,beads of sweat were flowing from his forehead.He felt great even though he was exhausted.He didn't talk with anyone other than greeting everyone when he came.He wasn't familiar with anyone there and thus as per his usual conventions,he left quickly after finishing his exercise.He went back home jogging and rang the bell.
His elder brother opened the door for him and then left for the kitchen.From the looks of it he had woken up not much earlier.He was named Vivek.He was as much of a night owl as Akash,only difference being that he did it for work instead of a hobby.Vivek had started website development early on as a side job while he continued higher studies.
Akash quickly went towards the kitchen to find out what the breakfast was for that day.He found poha(a dish commonly eaten during breakfast in India) in a bowl.He took his share and went to the room to eat.
He looked for news on the computer for any updates regarding the monsters but he found no updates.
He then spent some time reading spiritual scriptures like Bhagavad Gita and Vedas for self fulfillment.He found that reading these scriptures helped him greatly.He felt like his soul was being cleaned by reading such scriptures.Some quotes which he felt that had a great impact on him were:
"You are what you believe in. You become that which you believe you can become."
"Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is."
"It is better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody else's life with perfection."
These quotes motivated him that if he believed,he could change from his lazy lifestyle to a healthy one,that he could be more than a burden on his parents,a liability to society.Even though he had not seen much of the world,novels did display plenty cruel and heartless depictions of reality.He knew that even though reality was not as extreme as depicted in novels,there was still no difference in the way it worked.He knew that with his introverted nature and lack of confidence that if he didn't change he would have difficulty achieving an average quality of life as he was not exceptional at anything.He had already lost hope after failing at changing many times in the past.Hesitation always took grip on him if he tried doing something new and after sometime he was back to square one being his lazy old self.But now he had confidence that he could change...that he would change.
Akash felt both sad and guilty as he felt that if he had warned the school guard instead of hiding quickly like a tortoise in the generator room his life could have been saved.After all,the only reason the guard came to check the school from his post beside the school gate was because the sounds that came when Akash blinded the barren giant.If Akash had taken the slightest risk perhaps nothing would have happened to the guard.
Akash was torn by such feelings of guilt but another quote from gita comforted him.
"The embodied soul is eternal in existence, indestructible, and infinite, only the material body is factually perishable."
When Akash felt worried regarding his future and the safety of his family, he always felt like he was at an impasse.He knew he was still too small to worry about his future and that he would still have the support of his family no matter what, he didn't want anyone to go through difficulties for his sake.He found his path as he learnt from Bhagavad Gita.
"Whatever happened was good,
What is happening is going well,
Whatever will happen will also be good.
You need not have regards from the past.
Don't worry for the future.
Live in the present"
He didn't stop reading webnovels completely but still restricted the time he spent doing so.He spent time studying as the expected date for board exams according to conventions was coming closer but he had no idea when they will take place or if they will take place or not.His school was already closed till further notice because of the monster incident.So he decided to study on his own so that he would be ready by the time the exams take place.He went back to sleep at 2p.m. to provide rest to the body, even though it was already considerably stronger compared to the past due to the three stat points.
Akash closed his eyes and slowly drifted to sleep.The dream of himself as a lizard like creature came back after two days.He felt a bit different this time he entered this dream.He felt that his perception regarding what the lizard like creature felt had gotten much stronger compared to before.Previously even though he felt the movements of the lizard like creature,he couldn't actively follow them or understand how it moved properly.But now he felt that he could see how the centre of gravity of the lizard like creature changed throughout its movements and how it exerted force with better clarity.The scene of the dream was different yet the same,as even though he could make sense that the lizard was in a different region from previous regions, there wasn't much difference.This time the lizard like creature was fighting a giant grey coloured wolf pack leader instead of blue like previous one even though the size was the same.Akash could hear the various sound from both the lizard like creature and the weird wolf but strangely he just couldn't understand what they were speaking.It was like watching a movie without sound or subtitles.Even though he felt excited that he could use and learn techniques of using the spear adeptly from the lizard, he also felt frustrated at not being able to find out what they were talking about as he had the feeling that if he could understand their conversation it would have a positive impact on his future life but there was nothing he could do except watching and feeling the shifting force in the muscles of the lizardman, watching as it slayed the pack of wolves one by one while dodging attacks of over 30 wolves.Akash was sure by the impacts made by the wolves that if he hid in a car to escape from them, even one of them might be enough to tear both the car and him apart.Akash watched with fascination as the lizard like creature dodged each attack of the wolves as if he was a dancing with them and dealt with all of them without breaking a sweat.The moves of the lizard were clean and crisp without the slightest delay and with a perfect timing as if he was in control throughout the fight.The only problem Akash had after watching the fight was that this time the lizard like creature had also used its tail during the attacks which was not replicable for him.He found out that learning by replicating the spear moves of the lizard was not an option for him as they had different body structures and thus he would have to change the spear techniques into one more suited for him.This pack of wolves did not seem to have a leader as strong as the one present in his previous dream.That wolve had materialised something like a wind blade at its claws, a trait that differentiated it from the other wolves but the pack leader in this dream was not much different compared to normal wolves other than appearing a bit bigger and more ferocious compared to other wolves.As such the fight came to an end very fast as there was a large disparity in strength between the grey wolf pack leader and lizard like creature and the lizard won in a very brief period of time.

Akash lived an introverted life as a homebody but he was still very satisfied.He didn't have any special points or unique qualities but he was still above average in studies.His favourite hobby was reading novels which seemed to have become the activity he spent most of his time on everyday.He thought his lifestyle would continue to be the same in the future but such a lifestyle soon came to an end in December,2020.Everything changed when the invasion happended.Monsters stormed earth and wreaked havoc,ending a third of the total population.The situation was finally turning better with the arrival of the system.It gave humans the ability of counter attacking and shifted the battlefield from our cities to the places from which monsters appeared from.Americans called the system Guardian and thus it came to be called guardian internationally.In this way,the smooth life came to an end and Akash had to adapt to a rapidly changing society and grow stronger to survive and safeguard his family.Fortunately he had something to rely on.

I slowly open my eyes. I'm staring at four men playing cards on a fold up table. Some were smoking. More than one beer sat empty and discarded around their feet.

My mouth is bound with a gag. My wrists are chained behind my back and my legs are chained to the chair I sit in. The chair itself is bolted to the floor.

I look around trying to make out where I am. It's dark outside but I can see trees. If I concentrate hard enough I hear water flowing softly in the distance. This log cabin seems a tight fit. All one living space connected together like a loft.

"Princess is up." One man nudged the other. A long ash fell from his cigarette and onto the table before them.

"So?" He shrugged indifferent.

"So?" The first man said shoving him hard. "Watch your fucking mouth!"

They growled at each other but nothing happened.

I tried to say something but it came out as a mumble. Damn gag.

"Ignore her. Boss said they'll be here soon."

I started to struggle but the men just chuckled. 

One got up to get another beer from the fridge. He turned and said, "I'd quit squirming if I were you. Otherwise we'll have to get out the silver chains."

The others laughed as if he said the funniest thing in the world.

Rogues. The word floated through my mind and my wolf Arctos agreed. She seemed small and weak.

*What's wrong?* I ask her.

*They injected us with something.*

*With what?*

*Feels to me an awful lot like wolfsbane.*

I caught a glimpse of myself in a puddle of spilled beer. My red hair was disheveled and caked with blood. Stella?

Sitting straight up, I bolted out of my room. I looked around confused. I forgot I was at the tournament and in an unfamiliar mansion. What was I going to do anyway?

"Alpha are you alright?" His familiar voice makes me want to smile and cry at the same time.

I turn to Ignis keeping my eyes on the ground. "No."

He hugs me and smooths my hair. "It's alright Gina, I'm here."

Immediately I'm comforted by his embrace. I hiccup a laugh sob at the "uh" he added to my usual nickname. He hadn't called me that since childhood. My skin vibrates where my flesh meets his.

"Wait," I pull back looking into his purple eyes.

*MATE!*

*You can't keep saying that for everyone man I encounter!!!*

This time my eyes turn yellow orange and she reaches for his face. I take control back with maximum effort. Then I pretend I to pick a fuzzy out of his hair. I smile awkwardly.

"Who is taking care of the pack?" I ask.

His head tilted to the side and I could tell he'd seen my eyes change color. Even in the dim light of the hallway I could see his eye brows pull together in confusion.

"Caelum is in charge. We switched places so I could be here to protect and support you. Besides, who better to find Stella than her mate?"

"But he's just - and I can't believe -"

"Okay, well, honestly I left Aqua in charge. Chain of command and all. But Caelum is working with her and they're both sharing the 'in charge' duties." His air quotes with his fingers made me forget my fury.

"Can I ask you a favor?" I say, already knowing his answer.

"Anything."

"Can you just hold me so I can sleep tonight?"

"Absolutely."

We cuddle in my big bed. Once his breathing is calm, I relax. One arm rests under my head while the other holds my waist tight. My back is against his front so I can't watch him as he sleeps.

*TALK* I yell at Praesul.

She laughs at me, rolling around and crying tears of amusement.

*YOU HAVE A THIRD MATE! YOU HAVE A THIRD MATE!* She taunts and I fume.

*You are LYING! I would have know when I turned 18 AND I would've felt sparks when we danced on my 21st birthday.*

*Technically we should have...* She pauses to think. *You never asked Niveus what the loophole was did you?*

A string of profanities rang loud and clear through my mind at Praesul. She giggles and prances around.

*Niveus, respond.*

I could tell she was sleeping...do I use an Alpha order or...?

*NIVEUS!* I scream through our mind link.

*Yes Alpha?* She yawned. Clearly used to being yelled at to wake up.

*You sleep like the living dead...*

*Get to the point. I was actually have a good dream for once...*

*I know magic has a loophole.*

CHAPTER 1 - I❜LL TELL YOU A STORY

Have you ever believed in the supernatural? You have. Haven't you? 

Who doesn't love a story of a vegetarian vampire falling in love with the loner emo girl? We all know who Raine's been talking about. Don't we? Werewolves finding their mates on or after their 18th birthday and spending a lifetime loving each other.

Cinderella meeting her handsome prince in a similar fashion and spending a lifetime loving each other. Don't we all secretly swoon ourselves over and over again at such endings whilst thinking 'What bullshit are all those writers doing'. 

Did we not? Well, probably not in the vegetarian vampire part. But who in this world does not wish or even hope for a happy ending. But that is it. Those are fairy tales. A bunch of, over glossed stories with a sole purpose in mind of standing out, whilst the details of horror in those stories— they were better left alone and unsaid. 

Who cares for the details, right? Results were all that we care anyway. Let us just stick with that.

As Raine was humoring her miserably ridiculous life after being rejected by her mate and shipped off by her family, whilst what they said and she quotes; "So, you wouldn't depress yourself over an undeserving jerk by seeing him with someone else on a daily basis". 

Ridiculous, right? 

Her aunt Riley's soothing voice brought back her attention to the present reality. "Raine, are you alright? You seem almost lost. You've visited our pack countless times before, haven't you?" She smiled.

'Just once.' Raine had wanted to protest but then on a second thought she held it back in. 

Riley Isabelle Frost was Raine's aunt and to Riley— Raine was her most beloved niece. She had been concerned at first but after looking over at her breathtakingly innocent face, that resembled her second brother's so much; she had been angry at the person who dared rejecting her. 

At that moment, Raine had wanted to cry but had no tears. Her aunt looked to be more lost and concerned than she 'the party in question' was. Raine wasn't even sure if her aunt even knew the art of coaxing or consoling. 
And she had been right on the point. Her aunt, Riley Frost who remained unbeaten at everything else has been sucking at motivating people since her childhood.

To not make it harder on her.. Raine did what had to be done. She gave her the best practiced smile she could muster and said. "I'm fine. Just a little overwhelmed. That is all I guess." And it had been the truth but— Considering the fact that she had a facial paralysis which gave away none of her emotions or thoughts just like her dad's. Her smile might have come across as crooked or weird. 

It was a wrong and deadly move on Raine's part. Her smile, ended up making her look more pitiful than anything else whilst she remained oblivious of its effects, Riley felt her heart ache. Against all odds, Raine tried her best at conveying her present mood across to this lovely and supportive person sitting beside her. She really did try her best, but..
Her aunt was giving off a mixed air that sent chills through her spine. Anger and frustration flashing in her eyes for seconds and then what remained was endless doting. 

"It will be fine, honey. It was just that the timing was a bit off— And that asshole of an alpha heir... Hmph. He's rotten to the core." 

So this was her story now. Wasn't it? A pitiful rejected alpha mate. Raine secretly pressed on her nose bridge. This was getting depressing. She was fine. Really, she was. She wasn't someone who desired a destined partner for life anyway. Her wolf spirit wasn't being out of the ordinary either. They were of one soul and mind. She'd notice if something was amiss. 

Letting out a breathe, Raine resigned to her fate. The overprotectiveness wasn't going to fade away overnight and there was nothing that she could say or do that would make a difference. It would only make them more alert and on guard. Worse, they would think that she was suicidal; like the others who have lost their mates or have been rejected by them. 

Yes. That— Happens. Not too often though. Some reconcile and for the lost, If they persist enough they might find a second chance mate for themselves. Let's just not talk about second chances, that's for the minority anyway. She has her heart set on living a life of a hermit. As for making herself better, stronger and out for revenge? No, thank you very much. Raine feels that she was dashing enough. It was that the guy that had eyes, but couldn't see. Raine wasn't given the nickname of Ice Princess for nothing. 

And it was definitely not because she has an expressionless-hard to read face. Probably not. 

Her family had great werewolf genes, considering they came from a long mixed lineage of Alphas, betas and warriors. It gave them quite an advantage over others because they had a wide range of network and connections. There has been no secrets that's ever been hidden from the Frost lineage. Well, that is going to be a talk about some other time. Sooner rather than later, she presumes.

As the car came to a halt, Raine looked outside to admire the scenery. A feeling of serenity greeted her welcome. Aunt Riley nudged her shoulder and smiled at her warmly. "Come on inside. Everyone's waiting for you."

Sara was trying not to fidget in the couch with her hot chocolate in hand. She needed something to calm her down but she wasn't in the mood for tea so while Hele started the fire in the fireplace Murciél made her the hot coco. The fire roared and gave off a beautiful glow that caused shadows to play along the walls. "They're coming" was the warning Hele gave and the rest of the guys teleported in. They just looked at her for a moment with worry etched into their faces. "Raina, what troubles you my love?" Mala'ika asked, kneeling down in front of Sara. He lifted her chin with his finger so she had to look him in the eye. She closed her eyes and took a steadying breath before replying. "Sit. All of you. Please…" she asked before she started. 

Two of them sat on either side of her on the couch and the other two sat on the floor in front of her. She laughed internally at how they all managed to fit so closely to her and how bulky they looked making everything else seem small. The close proximity and mixtures of their scents sent her a wave of calm she needed and she took another deep breath. "Since we got here, every few nights I've been having these dreams….or visions I think they are?" She said more as a question. "At first everything was blurry, I couldn't see or hear anything like I was under water that was murky. But the more I had them, the clearer the picture and audio became as if someone was adjusting an antenna. Last night…..everything came in clear…" she said and let her breathe out slowly. She didn't realize she was holding it at some point. 

The guys looked at each other and back to her. "When you're ready fy nghalon. Take your time" Cythraul encouraged her as Balaur wiped a tear from her eye. She let out a slow shaky breath and nodded. "So um...yeah. Diak was there. There were two other guys, one with brown red eyes, another who looked like the Crypts Keeper, and three women. One look like a kid elf with white eyes, another had black eyes and lips and black cracked, pale white skin and the last one has this weird voice that lured me in almost, she had green hair and like seaweed and blue eyes" she finished describing all of them and came back to the present from her memories. She felt the anger rage and the tension in the air become depressive and she began to feel uncomfortable.  "Guys?" She called out and they continued to stare off into space. 

Taking a deep breath Sara took a leap of faith. Bending down she kissed Mala'ika in front of her to her right and then Balaur in front of her to her left. It seemed to pull them out of whether range induced stupor they were in and they started to breath normally. To her left she kissed Hele and Mahō, and then to her right she kissed Cythraul and Murciél. They all sat in silence breathing before Mahō spoke up. "Arigato(thank you) watashi no taiyo." "Uh yeah don't mention it." Sara murmured in reply. This time Cythraul spoke "so the false kings and queens are having meetings about you?" He asked and Sara nodded in reply. "Who are they?" She asked. They weren't sure if they should unload that onto her as she seemed to be going through enough. As if sensing their inner turmoil she spoke again. "Listen I get it's a lot right. I'm human and I've been through it. But I'm also your mate. I may slip int- act childish at times but that's never clouded my ability to actually adult. If you respect me as your equal you can tell me and trust me to tell you when it's too much." She told them. Hele and Murciél  looked at each other and smirked before turning back to her.

They all seemed to nod in agreement and Murciél spoke. "The zombie looking one is Makabuyts. Leader of the Sanguijuela or rogue vampires. They feed on humans and drink to the last drop, killing them to feed or for fun. They have no humanity left in them." He informed her. Mahō spoke this time "The old hag with black eyes is Grand Witch Noroi of the Dark arts. Dark magic is forbidden with good reason. It's powerful and it corrupts everything it touches, victims and users." Sara took a deep breath and nodded for them to continue. "The seemingly normal looking one is the rogue wolf 'leader' Kū'ē." Hele said, putting air quotes around the leader. "But I thought rogue wolves were so because they had no pack or leader. How sway?" She asked, confused. "You are correct but they have formed their own false pack in a sense. All the perks of power in numbers, mindlink etc but no loyalty. They could replace him at any second but they don't because he's almost as old as I am" Hele shrugged.

"The small child is actually queen of the Dark Fae, Queen La'ana." Mala'ika quickly informed. Sara's eyes grew wide and she nodded. "And the green haired lady is Mele. Self proclaimed 'Queen' of Sirens" Balaur said air quoting the word queen. "WAIT MERMAIDS ARE REAL TOO?!" Sara asked completely side tracked. "Yes but sirens are cursed mermaids, like rogues, they have no home or loyalty. They're where the sailor eating lores come from. They inadvertently keep humans out of actual mer-waters so they're normally left alone." Balaur replied. "Okay but why are they all plotting with Diak. The rogue vampires n' werewolves I get but…" she said confused. Cythraul spoke this time "Because they are, to an extent, seen as lesser beings. The evil dark versions of their kind are often not treated nicely and are unwanted in both the human and supernatural communities.  I wouldn't be surprised if they are sick of the 'unfair' treatment." He said air quoting the word unfair.

"Okay so you know about it, why not change it?" Sara asked. "There are no laws damning them Awydd. They are simply mistreated for what they are much like what your ancestors went through. The main difference is your ancestors didn't bring that upon themselves. They are dark or rogue for a reason. Someone treating them fair would be like a doctors office hiring Harley Quinn to take patients after she left Joker." He said. She nodded. He had a point. Can't kill and hurt people and then expect to be treated as equals. "Makes sense….oh, should I continue?" She asked "don't need y'all spazzing out again." She added with worry. "Idunno. It got us all kisses. Seems like a solid plan if you asked me" Balaur said and everyone laughed. "Shut up Supa Hot Fyre I'm trying to be serious!" Sara scolded. "Who?!" He asked confused and she shook her head laughing. "Nevermind." she replied.

"Okay so basically they were talking about how I did not die as a baby...which may explain the orphanage, and that I lived because of Grand Witch Inn-HOLY SWEET FUCKING BLACK BABY JESUS SISTER INNA WAS A GRAND WITCH!!" Sara said as the name finally clicked and she shot up off the couch. "A Grand White Witch and a badass against the fight for evil...but she's been missing for years." Mahō informed her. "Wait a hot damn fucking minute!" Sara's anger peaked. "You mean to fucking tell me yall knew about her and didnt bother to say anything when I told yall about what happened at the orphanage!! " she yelled, clapping every word. "Babygirl you have to understand we didn't want to put a lot on you and you already seemed hurt. We all assumed she's dead so we let it go" Hele said. "You still could have told me…" Sara replied in a small voice and sat back down. "We're sorry we didn't tell you sooner" Mala'ika apologized for them.

Sara was still hurt and didn't bother acknowledging him. "Anyway Diak wants to use me to control the good half of the supernatural kingdom I suppose as his queen and the Vampire or Witch would compel me or erase my memories of you all, especially if we've already bonded by the time they strike and they have to kill you." She said in a rush and leaned back closing her eyes. "Interesting thought, they assume the can kill us and that we'd be stupid enough to let you get taken again." Murciél said to no one directly. 

"Should something happen...would the bond help? Like to find me or protect me or whatever?" Sara asked. "All of the above and then some" Mala'ika replied. "We could feel each other's emotions, see our thoughts and you would be looped into our mink link. Kind of like a personal VPN server where we only have access.  You could also see our memories and access our knowledge. " he added. "Well fuck" Sara replied with a humourless laugh. "Okay then" they looked at her "let's do it. Mark me..." she added.

For the OG webnovel readers who remember "Cool Anime System", let me bring it back from the dead!

This fan-fiction will center around Mouchizuki Amida, an anime fan of Naruto and Fairy Tail, reborn in Fairy Tail several years before the main storyline with the badass system, a system which strives to make the host the most badass existence ever! And who could be more fitting than for Amida to inherit the supreme badassery from the legend Itachi Uchiha?

(I the author have not watched Fairy Tail in a while so please be patient with me. I will re-read the manga and re-watch the anime as I write this so the updates will be 1 or 2 chapters a day :D. Also, by writing this synopsis, I hereby accept the terms of agreement that since I am using Itachi's name, the main character by default will be a sincere and complete badass. Of course, he will have parts of his own personality as well! Do not fret!)

JASON; AT THE ARIES PACK CONFERENCE HALL

The meeting had already started hours ago. He stretched and yawned in his seat. He was initially excited at the prospect of finally attending an Alpha summit with his dad when he finally turned 19. After a few hours, he was extremely bored and wanted to sleep.

His mum glared at him from beside dad and tapped Jenna who was close to him. Jenna already had her air pods in.He didn't blame her, the summit was extremely boring.

"Jason, Jenna do not slack off here. This is an Alpha summit not a pack meeting. Respect the Alphas by listening" his mum scolded. They nodded and Jenna removed her air pods. He kept staring ahead at the huge screen.

His eyes landed on the famous Alpha Queen. He was surprised by her beauty. Her grey eyes and dark silver hair were captivating, especially her eyes which always held a mischievous glint. She was known to be a ruthless killing machine and a legendary prankster. Whenever one of the older males returned from the summit, they were always talking about the Alpha Queen, Xunia.

Her eyes took on many colors if she willed or when her emotions were strong.  Right now her grey orbs were glowing with a hint of aqua, showing she was bored. He only knew that because he's heard a lot about her from the pack seniors, not because he's stalking her or anything. She sat at the high table at the head of the meeting, resting her chin on her palm and staring ahead.

Suddenly her eyes fixed on the screen as if she was aware someone was watching her. He felt like she was staring straight into his soul. She smirked, as if conveying a message. He was hypnotized by her eyes as he felt an invisible force pulling him from his seat.

As he was about to stand up, a voice called out to the Alpha Queen, taking him off her focus. It seemed like the spell holding him had been broken. He touched his cheeks and his mother gave him a weird look. He blushed and looked back up to the screen to see who called the Alpha Queen's attention. It was Lupa, the former Luna empress.

"Anything to say your majesty?" Lupa asked, sneering. Xunia simply stared at her, indifferent.
"I'll assume you didn't hear my question and you weren't listening"
"You are correct. I could care less about the Emperor's pack. Aries Pack would never produce funds or manpower for your pack" She replied, sending a ripple of shock throughout the summit.

"You are talking about the Emperor here, show some respect" Lupa said, outraged. Xunia simply released a cold laugh.
"I know well that he is the Emperor. Since Kove is the Emperor, he should be able to provide enough resources for his people. He is one of the most powerful faeries in the realm"She stated calmly.
"How dare you?!"
"Lupa, Kove, remember, we are not equals" Xunia responded coldly.

"How dare you!" Lupa repeated, baring her fangs. Xunia simply leaned into her seat and stared at Lupa with a hint of amusement in her eyes. Conflicts were common in the Alpha summit according to what Jason's dad told him.

"Funny how your name means queen but you're nothing more than an overpampered brat" Xunia casually said, staring straight at Lupa. Lupa was shaking in rage and that's when Kove decided to step in.

"Stop this Xunia, we don't need to resort to petty means" he said, trying to mediate between the two women.
"How heartwarming" Xunia said, holding her hand to her heart with a mocking smile.
"When it's your mother, you step in and accuse me of being petty for roasting her. But, when it's your wife, you watch from the side and claim its a form of training for her. How very interesting" She said, stroking her chin.

"Tell me, Emperor" She started, using air quotes when she said the word Emperor.  
"Where is your wife? By right, the chair Lupa is gallantly sitting on belongs to her" Xunia asked, indirectly insulting Lupa.

"Do not compare me to that slave girl" Lupa screeched. Xunia simply raised an eyebrow.
"A slave girl you say? How dare a former farmer's daughter call the daughter of the Taurus Alpha Chief a slave girl!" Xunia retorted in a cold tone. Jason shivered at the sheer intensity of the anger in her voice.

"Enough Xunia!" The Emperor thundered, having enough.
"Do not speak of my mother in that manner!" He glared at Xunia.
"Tut tut tut Kove, you of all people know you can't reprimand me. Only an emperor with the right empress can address The Alpha Queen. So sit still and look pretty" Xunia cautioned, the other leaders of the Aries Pack laughed at Kove.

By then, Jason was confused. Wasn't the Emperor supposed to be higher than the Queen? Jason looked around helplessly only to discover he wasn't the only one. Everyone else was stunned. However, he later found out that her words were tradition and true.

"so laneli Kove, lamutosi na sii tu ti fera" (if you love yourself, Kove, you'll back off) Her voice rang out, full of malice, scaring almost everyone. A shiver ran down Jason's spine. According to what he heard, the Queen preferred not to speak much during the summit and sometimes wasn't present. She was known as the Sexy and docile Queen. Clearly no one really knew her.

After engaging in an intense staring match with Alpha Xunia, the Emperor backed down and announced a break of one hour. After a few tense minutes, some brave Weries started to file out of the huge hall and into the break room. Soon the hall was almost deserted and the break room full.

Jason was a simple Werie who was a 
famous shut in that spent his time reading more books than making friends. He was often bullied by the other wolves from time to time. 
However, his life changes when he meets his soul mate, the scary and beautiful Alpha Queen. She whisks him away from his simple life into a more dangerous one where he has to fend for himself.
Will he find himself and love in his new life or will he be killed off by the dangers of the faery realm?

I spent the next two days posing as Cressida's niece while we travel over into four different packs. The un-mated Alphas were all nice, but none were my mate. As we traveled, Cressida, took the time to educate me on how pack life work. No one raised the question of me actually being related to her. Apparently, people are afraid of knowing what their future held; so they are cautious around Cressida. We were now headed to the Broken Forest Pack. It was the last pack she was scheduled to vist and I can see her starting to get worried. We had use the last injection of the serum that kept my wolf at bay against the vampire blood. 

"So, Alpha Damien has just taken the position from his father. He's un-mated..." Cressida words fade off with every word.

This was our last hope in our search for my mate. If it's not Alpha Damien...I don't think we'll have much time before the final dose of serum wears off.

"Let's just pray to the moon above that today I find my mate," I spoke the words we both needed to hear.

"Amen," Cressida breathe out slowing the car down into a park. We were just inside the border of the Broken Forest Pack in a small clearing, "The territory is to thick and dense for us to drive into there pack land. Your body should be well rested by now, so you can shift into your wolf."

She paused, climbing out the car, indicating that I follow suit. A loud howl filled the air, a large black wolf slowly step out from the shadows of the thick vegetation. His dark eyes scan over me slowly before turning his attention to Cressida.

"He's going to guide us to the pack," Cressida aired popping the truck of her car, "You remember how to shift?

My wolf stood on all fours at the back of my mind with a woofish scuff. She has been itching to be release into our truest form since I'd woke. Tomorrow could be the last of us if Alpha Daniels turns out not to be our mate. "Yeah, I remember."

I took a step back allowing my wolf to take full control. It started with a rush of heat spreading to the surface of our skin. Dark red brown fur began to sprout with a painful tingle across our body. Bones broke, bending into odd position, and claws start to elongated. A gush of wind entered into the clearing in a vicious howl. An with a final push the earth shook at the impact of my paws hitting the ground. My wolf rumbles shaking out her fur in satisfaction. I let her paw at the ground for a few minutes before pushing her back gently. She'll be able to run freely once we start our way to the pack.

"Wow!"

I turn at the sound of Cressida voice to find her staring at me with pure triumph. A huge smile spread across her face for the first time in the last two hours. She stood with my duffle bag full of clothes she had so graciously bought over the last three days. We had taken this familia liking towards each other, and in a matter of days turn it into love. My wolf sees her as our pack and the thought of possibly leaving Cressida behind wounds her.

"The Moon Goddess has great plans for you," she whispers, stepping forward and place my duffle around my neck, before rubbing her cheek against mind, "follow your instincts, listen to your heart, and never doubt your true power." She quickly pulled away transforming into her beautiful white wolf in one simple jump.

I wanted to question her but I quickly remember my position and we couldn't link until we bonded. So, I was stuck with only glaring at the riddle spoken white wolf. She skillfully wrap her duffle around her neck; before trotting pass me towards the black wolf with a small yip. He lift his head up to let out a low howl before taking off into the woods. Cressida look to me with playful eyes before charging after him. I didn't hesitate to follow allowing my wolf to take full control.

We instantly hit the thick terrain of the pack's forest floors. I allowed my wolf take full control; easily catching up to the two mature wolves. The male wolf zip rapidly through the underbrush and trees; not making it easy for us visiting she wolves. But my wolf love the challenge. Cressida wolf stayed within just a few paces while I followed a few feet behind in the rear. Overall, the run to the pack only took us about five minutes.

Cressida was already standing in her skin and completely clothed when I arrived in the small clearing. The male wolf was nowhere in sight and that instantly had my wolf standing on edge. I took control from my wolf and walk towards Cressida pensively. She hold out a oversized T-shirt indicating for me to shift back into my skin.

"There has been a couple of developments I've been made aware of," she spoke in a whisper while I shift before her.

"I sense we should be worried about these developments," I voice with apprehension pulling the shirt down to my knees.

"Rogues invasion, maybe. The present of the alpha of all alphas, probably not."

"What!"

"Let's go," she rush out pulling me back into the woods.

This area of the pack land was less dense than the one from before; which means we're close to the pack houses. I vaguely remember how rogues are inhuman in the werewolf world. They're dangerous and will destroy a pack in a blink of an eye. But this "alpha of all alphas" is new to me.

"Cressida where are we going?" My whispered question seems loud in the silent forest.

"The rouges invaded from the north side of the territory, so we're headed towards the pack house."

"Won't we get there faster in our furs?"

Cressida let out a low chuckle, "Yes, but our scent is more pronounce in our wolf form. Plus, if we do run into some rouges being in our skin will give us an advantage."

I nod in understanding, following after her without another word, my trust in her goes way beyond questioning her judgements. We continue to travel quickly, but silently, through the broken forest. My wolf moves forward a little, on high alert, detecting any signs of danger. We can hear the faint sounds of animal like commotion happening a half a mile north.

I suddenly felt lightheaded as a burst of chills travel through my body. My wolf reacted to the stir in our body immediately. A familiar pain of agony erupts through my mid drifts, igniting a ear bleeding cry to fall from my lips. I could vaguely hear Cressida call out my name as I fell frightfully to the ground. She rush over to my side and rolled me over to my back. My wolf release a menacing growl so powerful it filtered through my lips.

"Shit, that's not good." Cressida mildly panic voice filter through my ringing ears.

My beast was ranging and tearing at my insides. 

She was furious.

"Cressida," I cried fearfully.

"Something's not right," Cressida whispered mostly to herself.

This wasn't like before in the compound of the cabin, it was ten times worst. It felt like someone was repeatedly stabbing me from the inside out. My dismantle screams and my wolf's growls echo loudly across the silent forest. I sense Cressida shuffle next to me muttering heavily to herself. A minute later her wolf was placing me on her back and taking back off through the forest. I clung to her fur as best as I can.

"You're going to kill us both if you don't stop fighting," I plead to my wolf.

She responds with a deep growl that once again filter through my lip. My beast was set on not having the vampire blood overtake our body.  I let out a long painful moan as my heart beat heavily against my chest. 

"Cressida," I struggle to mumble after feeling a distance presence.

Her wolf let out a wolfish huff flicking her ear back into my direction.

"Someone's coming," I barely whispered out before failing into the darkness hold.

Asena is a newly hybrid. Juduan is the Alpha King her mate.

Asena is pressured with becoming a half vampire, regaining her memory, and becoming future Queen to the werewolf world.

To figure out her past and continue with the future, she'll have to face a creature no other than herself.

As Nightlight and Atlas were approaching the strangers, Nightlight could smell them, before he saw them. They smelled like wolves, sure enough, but their odor was something different than a wolf. It was musky, and he couldn't tell what kind of animal gave off that scent. He could see the strangers ahead. 

As of what Atlas said, there were six of them. They looked like wolves, but some were longer haired and some were shorter haired. One was huge, a bit bigger than Nightlight himself. It had shaggy grey fur, and was leading the pack. Another, standing next to it, was smaller and had orange tinted markings in it's fur along with white. Behind them three were pure black, and the last one was brown.  

Once Nightlight and Atlas were a few feet away from them, he spoke calmly and clearly, "My name is Nightlight. I am the leader of this pack that has claimed these lands. My beta here tells me that you all would like to join us. Who is your leader?" The grey one took a step forward. "I am Rider sir. This is my family behind me. We have traveled for days in search of pack companions. 

My mate is Khaliska, the mixed colored female behind me, and my brothers and sister are the black ones and the brown one is my half-sister. If we may, we humbly wish to join your pack. Please." Nightlight simply stood there in a moment of silence. 

He said nothing, but his eyes spoke volumes. He looked at each of them, studying their build and structures. "I need to know something before I make my decisions. Are you guys wolves? Or are you something else?" Rider looked at his family, who looked back at him with worried and sad expressions. He turned back to Nightlight and replied, "We are wolf-dogs. 

We're hybrids, and our pack made our lives a misery because of it. Ever since we left, packs didn't accept us because wolf-dogs aren't pure. They're half-breeds who don't deserve to be in packs. All the packs we ran into said that we were useless, and no one would need a "dog" in their pack." 

Nightlight was silent. He had heard of such animals, but never met one. And now he has met six of them! He cleared his throat and asked, "So I know you are Rider, and your mate is Khaliska, so who are the others?" Rider nodded his head at them to introduce themselves. The brown one took a step forward shyly. She had golden eyes and a shaggy pelt. "I am Earth. I am Rider's half-sibling. He's never treated me any differently than a sibling." 

A black one was next. He was long haired and had light green eyes. "I am Rider's brother Gunner. It's an honor to meet you." The short-haired black one was next. She was smaller, and had hazel eyes. "I am Storm, Rider and Gunners sister." the last one took a step forward. He had short fur as well, and had sky-blue eyes. "I am River...Rider, Gunner and Storms brother." 

Nightlight nodded. Perhaps these wolf-dogs would be useful. After all, they had strong traits of a wolf and the cunningness of a dog. They would make fine hunters. Nightlight raised himself to his full height. He allowed himself to smile, and his tail tip flicked with acknowledgement. "I will let you join my pack. We could use a few more, and you guys look like you know what you're capable of. Come, I'll introduce you to the pack." 

He turned and padded back up to the den, Atlas at his side. "You really think they're 'wolf-dogs'? I've heard of such animals, but they're rare. I normally don't see a wolf-dog pup survive to adulthood because their parents aren't the same species." Atlas made sure to make his voice soft enough for just Nightlight to hear. 

"Look I know that as much as I do, but have you seen a wolf like them? We're normally just thick-furred. Besides, they look like they're good enough to be loyal and kind and brave." Nightlight said this with satisfaction. Atlas sighed softly. "Brother, you and I have met a wolf kind of like them. What about Blue? She's not the type of wolf you would normally run into." 

"Well that's because she's a cross between two different wolf breeds Atlas. So basically she's a full wolf. Not a wolf-dog." Atlas nodded in agreement. "You have a point. I'll see how they do in hunting. And then you can decide on where to put them in the ranks. How about that?" Nightlight smiled. "You talk sense as usual Atlas. This is why I made you beta. You're doing great at it. On top of that, you're being a great uncle to your nephews. But I figured you would be anyways, and that makes me smile every time I see you with them, so thank you." 

Atlas touched him with his nose. "Anything for you Nightlight." As Nightlight and Atlas approached the den with the wolf-dogs, the pack was there, awaiting their alpha and beta to return. Pandora bounded up to him and nuzzled his neck. "Welcome back love." she says smiling. He smiled and licked her cheek. "I assume she's your mate and the alpha female of your pack." Khaliska says kindly. Pandora looked at her and gave a nod. "Indeed I am. So far, we've been great leaders. We also have a family." 

Rider cocked his head. "You have offspring?" he asks. "Akela! Kiba! Come here." Pandora called. The boys walked slowly towards their mother. Kiba went between Pandora's paws, while Akela sat down next to her. "Welcome back Dad. I see you brought some newcomers!" Akela says joyfully. Kiba was silent for a moment. "Indeed...he did." Kiba looked away disdainfully. 

Akela turned to him, about to say something, but Blue came by and blocked his brother from view. "Sorry I'm late, I was busy hunting. Well, practice hunting" Akela smiled, but a low whine of terror filled his ears. Akela turned to see Earth backing away, her fear scent started to fill the air. "What's wrong with her?" Akela asks. 

All eyes turned to the wolf-dog. She had her ears pressed down, her tail between her legs. "That smell...I know that smell anywhere. It's a dire stink, they're big brutes who only care about themselves." Blue took a step forward. "I'm only half-directed. Besides, I'm not like full blooded ones anyway…" Pandora backed her up. "Exactly, Blue means no harm to us. She's kind, sweet , gentle and brave. She has been with us for a few months, and has proved to be a loyal pack member." Earth settled after hearing this. "I'm sorry...I just...had a run in with them before. It wasn't...pleasant…" Rider nuzzled her. "We all have Earth. I'm sure we'll be happy here." Nightlight nodded. "Yes, you all will. I will place you all as hunters for now, and as you progress, I'll then place you in your proper ranks. Your trainers will be Ashton and Sky." Ashton and Sky stepped forward. 

"You will be taught well by us...you'll do fine." Sky says kindly. Ashton barked an agreement. The pack started warmly welcoming the wolf-dogs into the pack. Nightlight watched from a short distance away. Maybe these wolf-dogs will prove themselves as worthy pack-mates he thought. He smiled, his pack was slowly growing. He thought that maybe having other wolves join wouldn't be a bad thing.
