In the afternoon of the in-game day, Stahl had learned all the weapon-skills that Brody told him to, at least their basics, and was now simply sitting there, meditating to get the skill to Rank 1. Brody had to leave, because he was just on an extended break from work and needed to return to teach another class, so Stahl had to practice the skills on his own for a while.
And now, meditation was the only skill that still had to reach Rank 1 out of the skills that Brody had taught him, although that also changed after a little while, and when Stahl heard the little ringing telling him that a notification appeared, he swiftly deactivated the meditation and just took a look at it with a sigh.
"Alright, this one's gonna be pretty boring to level up if I don't find anything good to do while I'm at it." Stahl muttered out to himself, before standing up from where he was sitting and checking out his friend's list to see if a certain someone was online.
"Yes, finally!" He exclaimed as he noticed that Xenia's name was written in a light green as a sign that she was online, and then made his way out of the training room and up to the meeting hall, where Xenia spent most of her time. There, Xenia was currently talking to Komer, while Koro was sitting at the table, drawing an Enchantment circle onto a piece of paper.
With a wry smile at the sight of his grandfather's avatar simply sitting there in its metal form, Stahl approached them as he scratched the back of his neck. "Eyooo! I'm ready to take my Magic Lessons!" The young man exclaimed, before Komer turned around and looked at him with a smile.
"Ah, right, you were gonna do that. Well, I'll leave you alone then, see you later. Xenia, we'll talk about it some more later, I'll figure the logistics out for now." Komer said and made his way to the door with a wave, before Stahl looked at Xenia confused.
"What're you gonna talk about later?" He asked, but Xenia just shrugged. "Oh, Komer was thinking about selling different basic magic contracts or scrolls, and we need to figure out proper pricing for them." She explained, so Stahl nodded his head with a smile.
"Gotcha! Anyway, should we get to it now? You're the last one I need to learn from. Well, except Grampa… He's most likely going to make me learn some more skills as well." Stahl said with a smirk as he looked at the metallic figure, before Xenia nodded.
"Probably. Should we go outside for that? I want to talk about something alone. Koro, keep drawing the enchanting circles." She explained and stepped to the door, before the two of them, plus Thul and the skeletal animals, made their way to the small roof-area on the top of the meeting-hall. It was usually quite windy there, so they never actually used it because it was a bother most of the time, but right now it didn't seem like a big issue.
"Alright, so what did you want to talk about?" Stahl asked with a light smile, already knowing the reason why Xenia asked him to talk outside, and Xenia slowly turned to him. "I… Want to say sorry… Th-There's a lot of stuff going on in my re-real life at the moment, but that doesn't excuse th-that I nearly had Eisen arrested…" She said with a bitter tone, and Stahl just responded with a long sigh.
"Listen, I'm going to tell you the truth, I'm hella pissed. But… It happened. Grampa told me not to be a bitch about it, so I won't be. You had your reasons as well. Anyway, let's just move on from that and have me learn some magic, alright?" Stahl suggested, and Xenia slowly nodded her head.
"Sure… Let's get back inside then… We'll start with magic-crafting skills, but for the rest, we should probably come back outside." The High-Elf explained calmly, before they made their way back inside after the short talk and sat down at the table.
"Let's start with enchanting. Right now you can only use basic elemental runes, meaning fire, water, wind, earth, light and dark, and can only make 'create' enchantments. So that's what we'll be doing, having you make 'Create' enchantments of different elements until you get the skill to rank 1." She started, and Stahl slowly nodded his head, taking the mythril needle that he was given into his hand and looking down at the flat crystal plate in front of him.
"There's some tools as well that you should probably use for now to get straight lines and proper circles." She suggested, handing him said tools, before Stahl did as Xenia was explaining to him.
She was basically rambling a lot about different things, but in the end, she manged to at least properly tell Stahl about the basics. Luckily she now had a bit of experience in teaching others because of Koro. That, mixed with the fact that she was feeling pretty awkward around Stahl because of everything, made it that she could keep her rambling to a minimum while telling him the maximum amount of needed information.
And so, Stahl learned the Enchanting skill and brought it to Rank 1 pretty swiftly. He had already heard about the mechanics of enchanting through his grandfather before, so it didn't take him all that long to get a hang of it in the end.
That meant that they soon moved onto Alchemy. And again, that wasn't much either, it really just meant that Stahl made a few large potion batches, and then soon reached Rank 1 in alchemy. He would work to rank Enchanting and Alchemy up again after he learned the other magic skills so that he would be able to learn Transmutation and Ability Enchanting as well, because that was something that his grandfather used quite a lot in all kinds of different items.
"Okay, so we're done with these two now. Next is actual magic. Do you know where Mana comes from?" Xenia asked, and Stahl just scratched the back of his neck. "From the core of our souls, right? Like, that's where the source of our mana is."  
"That's true for us, but other than that, Mana is something that exists at all times at all places. It's basically an infinite energy that dwells everywhere, but it depends on the 'vessel' how much mana is actually present. Even regular animals have mana in their bodies, they just don't know how to use it. The biggest variations within the whole 'Magic' category is where the mana you use for magic comes from." She swiftly explained, but Stahl just looked at her confused.
"Doesn't it always take mana to use any type of magic?" He asked confused, and Xenia nodded her head. "Basically, that is true. Magic is taking the mana from our bodies to cause an effect. Sorcery does that by using a Magic Circle as a 'tool' that uses our mana to fuel itself. Technically, sorcery, as well as enchanting, cause their effect by taking mana from the environment. And then there are types of magic that use mana as a sort of 'offering'. That includes Miracles from priests, that exchange their mana for divine energy, Druidism, which exchanges mana for natural energy, and Witchcraft, which enchanges mana for World Energy. Well, world energy is used by a lot of different things, not just by witchcraft."
"Huh… Wait, do you also have a Priest skill?" Stahl asked confused, and Xenia immediately nodded her head. "Yes, I do. It's not as strong as for people with Religious occupations, but it lets me cast simple miracles. I have a priest skill to follow the God of Magic, and that simply allows me to strengthen my magic by mixing it with the divine energy I get through the blessings." She answered while Stahl listened curiously, although he was slowly facing a small issue.
"Then… Can I even learn a skill like that at the moment? Don't I need to visit a church for that?"
"Actually, you don't. It's the Pastor that usually bestows those skills, and there's a lot of them on this ship. For what you're going for, I recommend getting the skill from someone following the God of Skills." Xenia suggested, before Stahl slowly nodded his head. "Huh, that might be a good idea… Erm, but that's not the first thing we're doing now, right?" Stahl asked, and Xenia shook her head.
"Don't worry, we're not. First, you'll learn some mana-skills. Right now my suggestions are Mana Modelling, Mana Copy, Mana Search, Mana Double as well as Mana Doll. I'm guessing you have Mana Manipulation already, so it's just those five." The High-Elf explained to Stahl, who swiftly began to grin.
"I already have Mana Modelling! That's what I was doing when I was waiting for you all the other day." Stahl answered with a smile, before Xenia nodded her head slowly. "Right…" She muttered, feeling uncomfortable remembering what happened then, so Stahl swiftly moved on after noticing this.
"Anyway… So, what's Mana Copy?" He inquired curiously, before Xenia explained it to him. "Basically, it's just copying something with mana, that's about it. There's different ways to do it, though. You can for example just model something out of mana to look like something else like you do with Mana Modelling, or you pour mana into an object, fill it out everywhere, and then pull that mana out of that object while having it keep its 'structure', so that you can basically take over the shape of the object." She told him, so Stahl slowly smiled.
"Is that it? Well, I guess then I can just…" He muttered and placed his hand onto one of the books he got from Jyuuk the day before, using it as a reference to copy it in the second way that Xenia described to him, simply filling out every part of the book before pulling the mana back out of the book.
And just like that, Stahl had gained the Mana Copy skill. Using that skill, Stahl then copied his own body to the deepest extent that he could, as well as Thul and his skeletal animals. This continued repeatedly until Stahl's Mana Copy skill reached Rank 1, at which point, Xenia made him move onto the next skill.
"And now, create the copy of yourself and manipulate it to walk. And don't forget to put the clothes you copied on it. That should give you the Mana Double skill. At the beginning, it might seem a bit weird that it's a separate skill from the Mana Doll skill that you'll learn later, but at higher ranks, you'll notice a real difference between the two skills." She explained, and Stahl did as Xenia told him to immediately.
Over the past few days, that was really all he was doing. He was told something, and he did it. Sometimes he gave a funny, snarky remark back at them, but most of the time he simply did so, continued grinding the skill through repeated actions, and then moved on to the next skill. It would most likely pay off in the end, but for now, it was rather annoying that he had to grind these continuosly in such a boring manner. He would much prefer to be able to go out and actually use the skills in a constructive manner, although that wasn't possible considering that they were stuck on this ship at the moment.
"Alright, now just keep your mana double there at all times. Shouldn't take too much mana to keep it up and have it follow you." Xenia explained as she looked at the pure-white version of Stahl just mindlessly standing there, before she moved on.
"Now, do the same with one of your undead." She said with as smile, before Stahl sighed loudly, already creating the figure of Des.

It had to be said, Chen Xiaolian was essentially someone who could be considered as someone extremely good when it came to the act of lying.

Why?

Because he was one of the writers for online fiction novels.

He made a living by making up stories.

When it came to the ability to make stuff up, Chen Xiaolian felt that there was no one near him who could come close to him.

If so… now was probably the time for him to show off his ‘professional skill’.

He silently thought of the names of the seniors like Third Young Master Tang (TJSS), Dancing and various others. Then, he took a deep breath.

He then abruptly turned toward Merlin. Raising his head up high, he laughed out loud.

“Ha ha ha ha ha!!”

He laughed heartily and was filled with confidence!

This was him seizing the momentum. Regardless if he had any cards or not, what he needed to do was to display a strong atmosphere to deter the other party.

The louder his laugh was, his opponent’s confidence would erode more as they thought – did I make a mistake somewhere?

A change washed over Merlin’s expression and he stared at Chen Xiaolian. After hesitating for a moment, he asked, “You… what are you laughing at?”

Chen Xiaolian ignored the question and continued laughing vigorously. He laughed until he was almost out of breath before he finally stopped. He inhaled deeply and turned to Merlin. He said, “I am laughing at the fact that you have too much doubts.”

“Too much doubts?” Merlin became seemingly shocked – there was no doubt about it, Merlin was an intelligent man. Be it in the legends or what Chen Xiaolian had sensed about him for the past few days, this Merlin was certainly a man of intellect.

However, the more intelligent a person was, the more likely that person was to face an illness: Overthinking!

“Jack, this is a very common name, is it not?” Chen Xiaolian said with confidence.

“… … …”

“All I did was asked if you would coincidentally have the name Jack in your name. Merlin frowned and said, “Those words of yours… I keep getting the feeling that you are not being truthful.”

“Then, what do you want?” Chen Xiaolian suddenly became angry.

He began utilizing his second art of lying.

The first art involved him laughing out loudly to steal the momentum away from Merlin.

The second art involved… inverting the rake and striking the opponent [1].

Chen Xiaolian put on an aggrieved expression and said, “Do not forget, Merlin! We are on the same team! We are both fighting for the sake of King William! A few days ago, I had to risk my life for this army! In that supposed ambush, your screw up nearly got me killed! I had personally killed off many of Harold’s soldiers. That is something that you have personally witnessed as well. In fact, I even killed off one of the enemy aristocrats! I personally smashed that fellow’s head down. That was something that many men could attest to!

“And now, you’re suspecting me?

“Do you suspect me of being a spy? Do you suspect me for being one of Harold’s minions?

“Just because I happened to have a friend who also hates women like you? Just because that friend also happens to have the word Jack in his name?

“Just because of a name?

“Because of that, you are going to deny all my merits earned through a life and death battle?

“Is this how you treat warriors in this camp?

“There is none to begin with!”

“And yet, I still think that you are very suspicious.”

“If that is the case, then I will leave here today. I will leave the Norman army and go far away! Then, I wish you all the best in this war and that King William would one day ascend to the throne in London.

“Are you satisfied with that?”

This was Chen Xiaolian’s third move.

“Do you dare to swear an oath?” Merlin suddenly turned toward Chen Xiaolian.

“… swear? Swear to what kind of oath?”

“Very simple. Swear in the name of the Deity God that you believe in – even now, I cannot be certain if you believe in The Almighty. However, I hope that you can swear in the name of the Deity God that you believe in. Swear that you hold no other intentions. Swear that you would not do anything against the Duke of Normandy! Swear that you are truly on our side. Swear that you have no desire to do anything bad to us!” Merlin stared intently at Chen Xiaolian.

Swear?

Chen Xiaolian sneered inwardly.

Swear to God?

Stop joking around! This is an instance dungeon! This world is just something that the Development Team created.

The God of this world… is also their creation.

“Of course I can!”

Chen Xiaolian did not hesitate. He turned to face the entrance of the tent and knelt down with one knee on the ground.

“I swear to God…”

“No! I do not know if you truly believe in The Almighty,” Merlin said coldly and continued, “You must swear in the name of the Deity God you believe in.”

“… all right!” Chen Xiaolian turned his head around to look at Merlin before turning back.

“I, Xiaolian swear in the name of the Deity God I believe in that I hold no intention of harming the great King William and my friend, Merlin. I make this oath with all my heart. The greatest wish in my heart is to help King William win this war and to help him become the King of all of England! If I harbour any other intentions, then let me fall to the depths of Hell!”

Merlin stared at Chen Xiaolian’s back.

There was a knife in his hand.

Chen Xiaolian had left his back completely exposed. He appeared to be completely defenceless.

Merlin said in a low voice, “Add in, in the future, you will not take any actions to harm me – I keep getting this feeling that you will kill me in the future.”

Chen Xiaolian muttered before saying loudly, “All right! I, Chen Xiaolian swear, from this moment onward, I will not take any actions to harm Merlin! If I ever violate this oath, then may I be cast down to Hell!”

As he said that, Chen Xiaolian thought to himself: I said from this moment onward, but not the past. When I killed Jack the Ripper in the London instance dungeon, that was the past; that cannot be counted.

After completing the oath, Chen Xiaolian straightened himself and turned to face Merlin. The expression on Merlin’s face seemed much better.

Humph, warlocks all have an odd temperament.

No wonder the people from the military are unwilling to associate with him.

However, that was not the end!

Merlin suddenly raised the knife up and made a light cut on his palm. Then, he handed the knife to Chen Xiaolian, indicating that he should make a light cut on his palm as well.

“What are you doing?”

“Blood oath. It is a soul contract in witchcraft,” said Merlin coldly.

Soul contract?

This powerful term was something that Chen Xiolian had written about in his own novels. And now, he finally got to witness it.

Without hesitating, he made a cut on his palm. Then, he shook hands with Merlin.

“When our blood comes together, the soul becomes the witness for the contract, the oath. If any violation against the contract occurs, the soul will be enveloped by Hell!” Merlin chanted those words.

Chen Xiaolian suddenly felt something from the part of his hand that was shaking Merlin’s hand. A faint burning sensation rose up from the cut area.

He subconsciously released his hand and discovered that the cut on his hand had been seemingly branded by hot iron and was blackened! As for the wound, it appeared to have healed!

“Is this… witchcraft?” Chen Xiaolian asked curiously.

“Naturally, this is a soul contract,” Merlin said coolly. “At present, I have used witchcraft to sign a soul contract with you. You must hold up our oath from earlier. Otherwise, you will be cursed. Additionally, this contract has connected both our souls. Unless one of us dies, this contract will never be unravelled! Additionally… according to this contract, you are not allowed to harm me!”

“When you put it that way, you are the one in the safest spot here.” Chen Xiaolian sneered.

Merlin shrugged and said, “That is needed for ‘what if’ situations. And now, I can trust you.”

At that instant, Chen Xiaolian suddenly received a prompt from the system.

"Where on earth would I look for a platform nine and three-quarters? There is no such platform having a three-quarters attached to it!" a girl with a waist length raven-black hair wearing a knee-length skirt, a sweater and a peculiar glasses mumbled. 

Ezereath Scarlet- Hunter, an 11 year old witch with a witch mother and muggle father, accepted in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, is now lost in the train station.

She bought her school supplies days ago using an exclusive online shop for witch and wizards and it only arrived yesterday so she was a bit tired last night getting ready.


Pushing her luggage and stopping at a nearby resting area, her eyes did not stop looking around for clues.

Using magic in the presence of muggles is not allowed, and so the spells she secretly learned were all useless.


Why did I not ask my parents to send me off? I thought I'll go to school using a portal or a broom but I did not expect this. Flying ... ah ... that would be cool...

"New students like you often get lost in looking for the platform unless there is a guardian leading you. For example--"

The man looked at Ezereath's direction and signalled her to come closer. Not wanting to not follow the orders of an elder, despite of the person being a stranger, she can only push her luggage and approach them.

She did not find them suspicious and an idea immediately flashed in her mind awhile ago. They look like wizards, not an amateur cosplayer with a parent. It seems like the boy over there is also a 1st year student like me.

And after that conversation, she already decided to approach them so this situation is kind of an ideal scenario for her.

"She is a new student like you. But unlike you, she does not have anyone to lead her to the platform, thus she can only rely to herself in looking for it. Right, little girl?" he glanced at her and smiled.

Everything he said was true so she do not have any means to counter.

I cannot do anything but nod.

"The train's about to leave in 20 minutes, you kids should go already." he looked at his watch and waved his hand towards us.

"Ugh... to where?" Ezereath asked, but the man's son was still giving his father killer stares.

Of all wizard families, why stumble to this kind? My luck is kinda low today.

As the time has passed and the new generation of witch and wizards arrives at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, there are big changes that happened.

New technologies used with magic for new ways of teaching is implemented, trying to replace and improve the old ways and beliefs. And so the curriculum has drastic changes.

Different wizard schools' exchange students were accepted from time to time, and few exceptional Hogwarts students were also sent to different schools. The Triwizard tournament and the Quidditch games is not only the things students look forward to join. The hostility between houses were already thinning.

There are also things that did not change.

Back then, our great-great-great-great-grandparents just only harvest the gold by mining it. Which was you need to take them out from the earth soil underground. You know?...You got it?"

I eyed him.

"Ohh...like the bulldozer that I always play in the mud, right? I keep on digging the dirt to produce the mud pond...am I right, Sammy?" 

Literally, that's the same concept and He understood it. Good!

"Yes. Like that but in our family history...we'd discovered the most precious and priceless item through their digging-"

He stopped me suddenly of what I'm trying to explain to him more.

"But...how did they found it, Sammy? Are they found it by accidentally? Or did they hunting it?" he tilted looking away with the spoonful of ice cream in the air.

"Hmm... according to grandpa, he told us the story about one of our very previously first generation uncle betrayed the family and sold out everything that belongs to our family. Then, they all didn't have a place to stay and everyone didn't even helped them at all. During that time, they were being isolated from the community and left alone to die..."

"Why?" Aidan looked at me with gleaming eyes. He's interested with our history life. I could traced the sad emotion swirling together in his words.

"Because the theft uncle told everybody that our family possessed with dark magic...erm..some sort of witchcraft. You know what witchcraft it is, baby?"

"I knew it...but please continue with the story...I believed it was just a rumours, am I right?" he scoop the ice cream into his mouth after swallowed down the previous ice cream in the air, enjoying the sweetness while I'm holding my spoon away concentrating with the story.

"Yeah...just the rumours but people back then really believed at those stuff and our banished family got out from that town and moved into the hidden because the ex-villages promised to kill each one of our family if the found us. Then, our very great grandpa decided to find some place hidden from that narrow-minded people and after a few days walking and slept around they did find a cave."

Aidan opened his mouth widely looks like he can figured that out what was happened back there but he didn't say anything. He wanted me to tell him and let he heard it without spoilt the surprises. What a sweet little man, here...

With sigh I continued...

"They just leave there like a primitive. Built everything with anything by themselves. That time, it was a hardest moment of their life to built the family honour back. With almost 20 family members to be feed they had to hunt and farming with what they have. Slowly, everything back to normal but it took times by expending the territory surrounding the cave without everybody knowing. Suddenly..." 

I stopped to checking Aidan reaction. Wow, he looked  impatiently and eager to know the whole story with excited smile.

"One of the youngest, happened to be our great-great-great-grandma, missing!"

"Haa..." Aidan let out his shocking state and widely opened his mouth not care to covering it. I understanding it.

"Yes, she was missing almost a day. So, all of them dicided to look into the cave after being heavily seach her everywhere outside the cave but didn't find her at all. Due to the unexpected weather, only a few members being picked from the volunteers to join the expedition further into the cave mouth.

They walked further into the cave and the temperature dropped slowly. They had to stopped for several time to decide to divided the team members into the smaller group. Why? Because, the cave got so many path and no one knows where they headed...so, after quite moments, the last small group leader by our very great grandpa found the missing girl, sleeping like a ball due to the coldness. 

Not just finding the girl but the girl brought the unbelievable discovery with her. She found the large piece of gold attached to the solid soil to where she fell asleep. They recognised it instantly after look at the gleamed colour of gold."

"Wow...our great grandma really a lucky person!" he exclaimed his very great grandma admiring and imagining her self.

"Indeed Aidan. She was the one who found the treasure on her very owned hand in her young age and after that, they harvest the treasures and keep them into their storage without taking them out to the world.

They built the territory to the strongest safety before, the elderly went out searching for the capable people to join hand in hand into the gold business. That's the story about our family heritage. Well, from time to time it's not only the gold they were harvest but also other elements that we have today."

Aidan seems speechless. The ice cream already melted and he didn't realising it.

During the time I told him our family history, I couldn't stopped myself to imagine it on how their lives journey. From everything to nothing than back with eternity honour that have been stepped away by someone arrogant, greediness, selfishness and many more to snatched away the glory to himself. Not to say more, he was stilled our family member by the blood.

"Wait...how about that theft?" suddenly Aidan expressed the anger reaction including his body turned to rigid state.

I smiled before answering to him.

"He tried to get back into the family but no one pay any attention to him. So he dicided to do the dirty methods on them but to no avail. He died full of hatred and promised to let his family pay them back on his behalf." I shrugged didn't care at all.

"Really? Did they?...you knows the theft family, Sammy?"

"Dude...it's our business enemy out there, the powerful enemy there was the theft family. They trying to steal our business to be their sole business but not even one succeeded."

He placed away the tub and slowly getting out from the bed and approaching his PC table. Not sure what he wants to do.

"You don't want to finish the ice cream, Aidan?"

He shook his head denying it.

Hmm...

"I put them back into the freezer, okay?" I asked again and he nodded agreeing.

"Okay..."

That was our last conversation last night and he just staying in his room doing only God knows about it. He didn't bother to join our morning take out breakfast and mama, the one who brought the breakfast to his room.

"Still sleeping like a baby. So adorable!" says mama after flopped down to her favourite chair.

I bet mama wants another baby but the doctor's suggestion to stop the pregnancy because it could harm both mama and the baby. So...she had to endured it.

I didn't say anything but my mind did a lot of work on her own. To many thoughts running wildly to think so much, think that I don't know what was that about.

I shook my head inwards.

"Ohh...I almost forgot!" mama suddenly standing and walked to the fridge. She took one of the paper being magnets to the fridge door.

She smile happily like a person win a lottery. Believe it or not, she skipping like a kid nearing us. 

It's weekend today so everybody just lazying around don't wanna do anything and mama keep away her pot and rest her stove for a day.

Everything was ordered out from any places we wants to eat their foods, happily just broke our wallet, instead of cooking.

"Why you so happy, mama?" asked Asher while playing with his online video games. He did concentrate on the games but he knew what happened in his surrounding.

"Yeah...skipping happily..." Adam second that and I nodded agreeing with them both.

Papa just leaned on his chair read his newspaper but I know he listened to our talks.

"Well..." she sit and place the card, the maroon card on the coffee table in front of us.

"What's that?" I bowed my head to look the card asking the question like a stupid kid.

"A card silly!" says Adam snatching away the card quickly.

"Hey!" I yelled at him dissatisfied. I frowned and hugged myself looking at him. He just mocking me like always.

"I know it's a card, Ad-dot! but what kind of card? dinner invite, weds invite or perhaps birthday invites, stupidos!" I angrily reply his mocking by calling his hates nickname.

"Languy kids!" mama gave a warning tone. Adam stuck out his tounge to me, showed that he win.

"Ladies and gentlemen, save the date for us! We're getting married on August 19th, Saturday at 9.30 pm at Grand Ballroom of Golden X Hall at this very year. Both our parents honour to request the pleasure your company to celebrate it together with us. Surprise will be coming after the ceremonials and please do join us in Bollywood themes!"

Adam pronounced it with a burning spirit and from the invitation wording I know how he tried it so hard to sound like an excited person. Lucky enough it's almost there...

Owh...wedding invitation! Bollywood!

"Who's the bride and groom's name, Ad?" Asher paused the games.

"Erm... Ollie Nelly and Izzy Rafael." Adam say it out loud after turning the card to read the clear names printed on the paper.

We eyed him including papa.

"What's wrong, Ash?" mama saw him with worried eyes.

"Nothing!" 

But he picked up the phone and walked out from the house. Soon we heard the bike rev up away from home.

"Ad... wasn't Ollie, Ash girlfriend?" I tried not to look so pathetic but deep inside me did told me that Ollie girl can't be trusted. And now...it's true.

"Shit!"

He flipped again the card and read the whole content on the display. I couldn't read his facial because...he placed the card on the table quickly and walked out like Asher. Immediately, I know what he's trying to do.

"Erm..." mama didn't know what to say and papa continue his reading after paused for a moment.

Traditional Witchcraft is a massive umbrella, it's so large it is hard to keep track of which area/belief/tradition you're talking about unless you specifically mention a region and or tradition.
Another Traditional Witch I spoke to described it like this 'There are thousands of Traditional Witchcraft practices out there, there is a different tradition every square mile' none of these traditions are wrong because they aren't the same - they are right because that is what those people believe and work with on a daily basis.
Traditional Witchcraft is mostly an Operative magical practice a.k.a 'Get it done' - it is a Craft or Skill, a physical interaction to cause/promote change within the natural world - this description does not exclude Ritualistic Magic for some traditions embrace ritual work. But at the end of the day, it is Folklore based, passed down from practitioner to practitioner, researched/learned like any skill or guided by the Spirits.

Spirits
Over the centuries there have been many spirits attributed to Traditional Witchcraft - almost can be seen as Gods, and then other spirits such as Faeries, Demons, etc. (Moving into the lines of Familiars, fetches etc.) due to the expansiveness of Traditional Witchcraft - I will be speaking specifically about two spirits and two groups of Spirits that have been found in Traditional Craft for centuries.
To be fair to the other traditions within Traditional Craft, not all of them follow the spirits listed below - some of them are completely secular, others are more involved with one or the other - remember 'There are thousands of Traditional Witchcraft practices out there, there is a different tradition every square mile'
• The Devil/The Old Goat - to be honest, this particular spirit is incredibly ambiguous - because according to the Courts/Inquisitors they saw the Devil where there was only a Wild Spirit, but according to some Traditions - this spirit is the Devil - the keeper of the Black Fire and Father to the Witches. I only use the title 'The Devil' because that title is one of the only ones that crosses across a lot of Traditions. Luciferian Witchcraft reveres him as the Devil himself - as Lucifer the fallen angel, the bringer of light and aspect of freedom.
He is what you could loosely say as the 'Male Aspect' and within some Gatherings or Covens, he is the King of the Faeries, Lord of the Wild Wood - the Initiator, the Seducer and the figurehead.
• The Queen of the Faeries/Lady of the Moon/Queen of Elphame - another spirit that is incredibly ambiguous, in some traditions she is the Consort to the Devil, in others, she is the real power behind the craft - in some, there is only her. She is can be called Titania from the play Midsummer Night's Dream as much as the Devil can be called Oberon. She also holds the fire of Witchcraft and is an initiator, the seducer etc. But in most traditions that I have read about, she is attributed as the True power behind the Devils throne in the Forest.
• The Faeries - also called Wild Spirits by some, within a lot of Traditional Crafting - particularly in the UK, they are the spirits of the land - the trouble makers but also the ones who can bring you great prosperity if you're kind but firm - they dance at the Queen's court.
• Demons - Within many Witch Trials, there is always talk of demons - Familiars to some can be seen as minor Demons wanting to aid someone to get what they want. But loosely this is just another ambiguous category of spirits within the Craft - the dance with the King and Queen at Court, the revel and do as they desire.
Of the four above, they are so ambiguous because they don't turn up in every Tradition or belief, in rural communities some people still believe in having to appease the Faeries and warding away Demons, etc. and can be called as part of the Fairy Faith.
Again, I would like to reinforce that these Four are ambiguous and specific to specific Traditions within Traditional Witchcraft - just because you may meet a Traditional Witch - it does not mean they will believe in or work with the Devil, The Faery Queen, Familiars, Demons, Faeries, etc.

Witchcraft, Wicca, and Christianity.
Now a lot of this I know to some will sound incredibly similar to Wicca - that is because Traditional Witchcraft and Wicca are in essence, siblings - to speak simply, Wicca was born from the already existing beliefs surrounding Witchcraft within the UK - founded by Gerald Gardner and eventually built to what it is known today - a lot of 'Traditional Witches' out there will claim Wicca as fake, 'not real Witchcraft' or 'washing away old practices' - to be frank, Wicca is part of the Traditional Witchcraft family in its own right because of its founders Heritage as a Witch, and where the practice was grown from.
However, Wicca is separate from Traditional Witchcraft because Wicca is a Religion, Witchcraft is not.
Where does Christianity fit into all of this? When Christianity spread through Europe it melded with the already existing beliefs within each Country/Region - for some people to escape persecution, they hid their beliefs within Christianity - and Christianity helped grow some of the already existing magical practices - a lot of Witches back centuries ago practiced a 'Dual Faith' they were both practicing the roots of their Ancestors - but at the same time believing in the Christian God and working their personal beliefs with the Christian beliefs. 'But the Christians killed the Witches!' to be more specific, it was the populace that used certain beliefs to kill off people they were having a disagreement with.

Traditions within Traditional Craft
Due to Traditional Witchcraft being such an umbrella term, there is a few terms that encompass a large variety of Traditions, I will explain each briefly.
• Culture-Based - based on cultures/beliefs i.e. Icelandic, Scottish, English, Stregharia (Italian), Brujeria etc.
