January 22nd, 2016 15:30. Seoul Jung-ku Secret Bureau of Corruption Investigation Unit 2 Interrogation Room.

All media outlets from Korea were full of controversy. Its broadcasts were filled with the announcement regarding the corruption scandal of the Navy's Aegis system and defense industries by Director Ahn Chang-gil from the Secret Bureau of Corruption Investigation. After three months passed, the Bureau's discovery and the announcement of the corruption scandal lead to a judgment of all individuals related to the various corruption charges that were rampant across the previous government. It became a starting point for uprooting it.

A burly man in a black suit and white shirt with short hair threw a stack of papers on the table and began speaking firmly to a man in his 60s, who was sitting arrogantly. "Ex Minister of National Defense Jeon Oh-geun, take a look here." The man pointing to the bank statements with an aggressive tone was Manager Kang Chul-joong from the Corruption Investigation Unit 2 Team 1. "Ex Minister Jeon Oh-geun? Ah, it's too much of a mouthful to call you with your old title as well. I'll just call you Mr. Jeon Oh-geun. Do you understand, Mr. Jeon Oh-guen?"

Ex Minister Jeon Oh-geun did not move an inch from Manager Kang Chul-joong's firm tone. He said while smiling slightly, "Manager Kang, what're you doing? This isn't the time of the 5th Republic; it's not the 80s; do you think you can get away with acting like this, mimicking the NIS?"

Manager Kang Chul-joong's was angered, untied his tie, and continued speaking. "Easy for you to say! If that's the case Jeon Oh-geun, why did you commit such a crime using your authority, despite it not being the time of the 5th Republic anymore? Why the corruption? Why did you take the citizens' precious tax dollars and shove it up your ass?"

If this intelligence agency had been judged by the government's normal standards, its interrogation tactics would have crossed a line, and it could have been prosecuted for defamation. However, since Korea was in a state of national emergency, the bureau responsible for investigating corruption scandals was granted the ability to use intense interrogations tactics.

Ex Minister of National Defense Jeon Oh-geun felt angered by Manager Kang Chul-joong's words. He kicked his chair, stood up, and began shouting while pointing his fingers as he was being handcuffed. "What? How dare you, you bastard! Do you think you'll get away with this?"

Manager Kang Chul-joong slammed both of his fists on the table and shouted, "Sit down! You son of a bitch! Do you not understand what's going on? Do you still think you're in the past? You fucking asshole!"

"You…I will not...!"

Smack!

"Gasp!"

Ex Minister Jeon Oh-geun, who was talking back to Manager Kang Chul-joong angrily, fell back and tripped on the chair. He had been punched in the face. Manager Kang Chul-joong rolled up his sleeves, began walking towards the Ex Minister, and then started to kick him.

Smack! Smack! Smack! 

"Ple, please. Stop...please!"

Manager Kang Chul-joong finally stopped kicking and sat down, but only when Ex Minister Jeon Oh-geun curled up and begged for him to stop. Kang Chul-joong told the Ex Minister, who was bleeding from his lip, to stand back up. A moment later, Manager Kang Chul-joong handed the Ex Minister a cigarette and spoke in a calm tone. "Mr. Jeon Oh-geun, let's read the room. Do you understand? Let's take a break to smoke."

After they smoked their cigarettes, Manager Kang Chul-joong pulled out a couple of photographs from his back pocket and put them near the Ex Minister's face. 

"These photos, they're great, aren't they? So detailed?"

"How…how did you?!"

Ex Minister of National Defense Jeon Oh-geun fell silent from shock and bowed his head. The picture portrayed him and the lobbyist Lizzy Ahn from Lockheed Martin in a condo bedroom at Seorak Mountain.

"It's not my style to threaten people like this, but since you couldn't read the room, I had to resort to methods like this, you know? Mr. Jeon Oh-geun! All the evidence for the corruption scandal exists in these files. Just hand over the list of people that own the borrowed-name bank accounts. If you do, we'll never reveal these photographs. Wouldn't adding prostitution charges along with corruption be unwise? You must think about your family, don't you think?"

Ex Minister of Defense Jeon Oh-geun took awhile to think, then asked for another cigarette in a trembling tone. Manager Kang Chul-joong threw him the whole pack and stood up. "Ex Minister Jeon Oh-geun, take some time to think while you smoke. All you need to do is write a list of names on that piece of paper over there. I'll return in an hour."

Manager Kang Chul-joong closed the interrogation room door and left.

Jeon Oh-geun thought back to the time when he held the position of Minister. Back then he had the authority to move billions of dollars, and he could enjoy his power. Reality hit, and he saw himself handcuffed in a dark, damp, underground interrogation room smoking. He felt pity and began to weep.

Recently Congress had passed the bill for transient punishment for defense industry corruption charges, and the sentences now even included allowing the death penalty. He had nothing to lose from revealing all the people involved, but him being charged for prostitution was a different matter. Accepting bribes and other corruption charges would only be his own responsibility, but if word got out about the affair, then his wife and children would also be affected. 

Ex Minister of National Defense Jeon Oh-geun finished the pack of cigarettes in 30 minutes, and then he picked up the pen and began writing the list of names on the white sheet of paper.

January 23rd, 2016 09:30. Seoul Jongro-ku Blue House President's Office. 

The President asked the Director of the Secret Bureau of Corruption Investigation, "Is this true?"

The President could not withold his shock from the first report related to the Navy's defense industry corruption scandal. It had been more serious than he expected. 

The Director of the Secret Bureau of Corruption Investigation replied, "Yes, sir. This is the list of names that hold the borrowed-named bank accounts we obtained from Ex Minister Jeon Oh-geun."

President Suh Hyun-woo was shocked by the number of names in the list, but the fact he saw the names of people he knew—people he considered to be his friends—made him that much more surprised. Secretary Na Sung-tae, who was also inspecting the list, seemed to be angry and spoke firmly. "This is outrageous. A rebate that's equivalent to a third of the entire budget, how much did these men take? People like this are the reason why the lives of the young men we draft to protect the nation are at stake; they're why the equipment we provide them is faulty…it's an abuse of citizens' precious tax dollars." 

"Yes, you're right. We must show these people how severe the crime is for fooling around with the citizens' taxes." The President, who was checking the list name by name, placed it on the table and continued speaking while he looked at Director Ahn Chang-gil. "It's important that the individuals listed here and any related are punished by the law, but it's also important that all the money that was embezzled be returned to the national treasury. Please keep this in mind while you work."

"I'll do my best. I'm currently investigating the assets of the individuals on the list with the Financial Supervisory Office, the National Tax Service, and many intelligence agencies jointly to have every single penny returned to the national treasury."

"I see. You have no idea how relieved I am every time I hear you report, Director Ahn."

"It's nothing, sir."

"Also, Chief Na, please set up a meeting with Minister Lee Jae-soo for tomorrow morning."

"Yes, sir."

President Suh Hyun-woo wanted to check with the Minister of Justice Lee Jae-soo whether or not the transience punishment bill from Congress would be applicable in the navy's defense industry corruption scandal, so he ordered the meeting. 

The opposing party and other powers were all criticizing and opposing the government for creating departments for audits and inspections concerning citizens' rights, but the President pushed through the opposition. The Secret Bureau of Corruption Investigation had made tremendous progress in three months. 

The meeting continued for another hour, and it ended in a bright mood.

January 25th, 2016 10:30. Seoul NIS Safehouse Hospital Infirmary.

It was an infirmary and it had hospital beds, but this was no ordinary infirmary. There were numerous computers and machines installed in the room as well. The man who was busily working while looking at the computer monitor was Kim In-jik, no NIS agent Namgoong-won.

"Hi! Namgoong."

Namgoong-won was so busy with work and staring at the monitor that he didn't notice anyone enter the room. He was startled by Assistant Manager Lee Hye-jin's voice.

"When did you get here?"

"How could an agent of the NIS not notice people approaching you? If your senses are that dull, you're going to be taken out silently, you know?"

"Come on, am I a field agent?"

"Well, agents like you also hit the field every now and then! It'll all change once you get trained, I suppose?"

"What? Do I have to go through more training?"

"You didn't know? I guess Manager Ahn didn't tell you? I suppose considering your situation... New agents of the NIS go through training; field agents are trained for six months, while intelligence agents are trained for three months."

"Oh my god. I want to quit."

"It's too late, Agent Namgoong, so stop spouting nonsense and get back to work."

Namgoong-won felt slightly worried by Assistant Manager Lee Hye-jin's half-joking words, but since he had been assigned his first mission since joining the NIS, he decided to concentrate and get back to work.

Namgoong-won did not take his eyes off the screen for an hour. He worked hard. After he was finished, he stretched. 

"Okay, I'm done."

Assistant Manager Lee Hye-jin, who was reading a book in a chair, turned around. "Really? That's amazing that you finished it so fast. Good! Put all the organized data on this USB drive for me."

"That was nothing. Ha, ha, I already did that. Here."

"Namgoong, next week we'll pack up from here and go to the agency. So, start packing soon. Well, I suppose you don't have much to take already?"

Namgoong-won seemed to have been annoyed by Assistant Manager Lee Hye-jin's teasing; he got into the position of firing a pistol and spoke arrogantly. "Let's make that bet at the firing range for pistols when we get to the agency, shall we? That'll be the day when I become the best marksman in the agency."

"Ho, ho, ho, fine. Let's add five smacks to the head along with granting a wish to the bet!"

"I call. But it's kind of hard for me to hit a woman..."

"Stop acting out. I'm going now to turn in the data. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Yes, take care."

Connor was surprised at the sudden reward he has received. He had only just learned about the system, but he had already received a reward. 'Isn't this a bit too coincidental', Connor thought to himself. He felt that that he shouldn't have gotten something so easily. 'Wouldn't I have always gotten these points; I didn't have to read the tutorial and it just would have played out the same way regardless'. No, there had to be a reason. Assimilation. These points must be to help him adjust to this new world. 'I am being trained as a youngling in the jedi order, so I had better act like it'. Connor put one force point into light side and another into Shii-Cho.' A youngling should be somewhat force attuned and Shii-Cho is taught to all younglings".

Connor was suddenly assaulted with a torrent of information, the information seem to spread throughout his body as well as if affecting his muscle memory. When he opened his eyes, it was like seeing for the first time. Connor could feel a faint connection between him and everything in his room. He could sense that there were guards outside patrolling the temple. 'This…This feels amazing!', Connor exclaimed in his mind as he had never felt such a inexplicable rush a power before. He hurriedly found the pull out a small metal ball by his bed while careful not to awaken the rest of the clanmates in the room. This ball was given to all younglings to help them meditate and now Connor was going to use it.

Connor sat in a meditative pose and closed his eyes. He focused on the metal ball in front of him. Focused on the connection between him and the ball. When he felt the connection was solid, he used his will to slowly pull the ball up onto the air. Connor felt that while he was in meditation, he could probably add one or two more of these metal spheres. But as soon as Connor opened his eyes to see the floating orb, he suddenly felt the connection slipping away as the ball shook and fell the ground with a thud. 'Guess I don't enough attunement to do that without the meditation. I guess I just have to keep at it. Although it seems the stat I have for light side just represents my raw power, while proficiency might be something entirely different'.

There are many jedi that despite their average connection to the Force, they were still able to perform many amazing feats through sheer dedication and practice. Obi-Wan is the most well-known example of this. Only average as a youngling and not even selected by a master immediately following the initiate trials, and never standing out as powerful especially when compared to his padawan. Obi wan would later go on to become one of the most powerful jedi in history while embodying the jedi code better than any other jedi.

Connor awoke from his train of thought as another idea emerged in his head. 'The skill points, I haven't used those yet, but how do I?' Connor asked himself this. 'Um, skill shop?', he proclaimed in his head. As soon as the words left his mouth a long list appeared before his eyes. 'Just how many skills are in this thing?', he mused. The seemingly endless list had a variety of skill. There were skills to change how well a person could run, there were skills that gave a person mastery over stealth, there was even a skill that could make someone the best pilot in the galaxy given they had enough skill points.

After giving it some thought, Connor selected [Reading] and [Writing]. He didn't know the languages of this world and although it seemed like Basic was just like English, the written parts of the native languages were complete foreign to him. 'Assimilation, that's what this reward was for', Connor reminded himself. 'If I can't even read or write, people will get suspicious'. After Connor confirmed his skill selection, he felt a rush of pain in his head. The pain seemed like it lasted forever, but after it was done Connor could suddenly recalled the various symbols and their meaning of the five most used languages in the galaxy.

'I think its safe to say this isn't a dream but my life now'. Connor was experiencing a bittersweet emotion. His old life was dead but an exciting new one was in front of him. 'Next time training comes along; I show everyone what I'm really capable of'. Connor hadn't gotten a chance to try out his new Shii-Cho mastery as training sabers were kept in the training room far from where his room was currently. 'For now, I want to see if meditation will really give me experience'.

Connor then sat down in his meditative pose taught by Master Yoda. In his mind, Conner had hardened his resolve once again. He was determined to not only survive in this galaxy, but to thrive in it.

When Connor awoke in such a bizarre place, he never thought that it would be the Jedi temple and that he would have taken over the body of a youngling. What is this voice in his head and why is Yoda mocking him?

"That's what we thought so too. He was not surprised by the information on the folder."

"It's just information. Not enough evidence. We even secretly dissected Aunt Emerald's corpse, but only to find that she was not poisoned and the doctors' diagnoses were correct."

"Mm . . ." 

Axel was uncomfortable with the topic, and decided to change it. "Are you in Frizkiel yet?"

"Not yet. Where did you send Asher by the way?"

"In Apricot Country in the south. We have business dealings there that needed his presence, but I bet he'll secretly investigate that woman's identity. Else, why is he so eager to go once he knew that he was assigned there? *sigh . . . He's so easy to read."

*chuckle

"Father, I have to go, the plane is about to land on Frizkiel."

"Mmm . . . Alright."

Alvaro leaned on the leather couch, and removed his earpiece. He closed his eyes and pinched the center of his brows. He massaged his eyes to relieved the stress from working too much on his laptop.

After resting for a few minutes, he glanced at the snow barren lands outside the plane's window. The scenery was landscaped with snow mountains and glaciers covered with snowflakes and dead trees.

What a gloomy country.

Alvaro sipped his tea as his ashen blue eyes remained unmoved, locked on the lovely ice sculpted face of a woman, sitting opposite him. Deny as he might, his concentration was in a jumbled mess thanks to her.

A first in his surprise list.

Pale skin as white as snow and smooth as silk and almost breakable like porcelain.  Oval shaped flawless face paired with a straight nose and thin pinkish lips. 

And those eyes. 

What incredibly amazing color of eyes, almost like emeralds, but glowed torques with the light. 

Only, if she could be a lot warmer and smile more often, she would rank top two on his list. Top one always reserved for his darling Princess Evangeline.

But alas, the woman in front of him was colder than frozen water and sharper than icicle spikes. And with her snowy white hair, she was almost ethereal and scary if not for her beautiful face.

Rozarria Rozienheim

CEO and founder of Rozienheim corporation that deals mostly with pieces of jewelry and precious stones.

Rozienheim is a top brand almost appearing every week in jewelry and fashion magazines. Every noble ladies and wealthy socialite owned at least a set of this expensive jewelry if they wanted their name carved on the list of wealthy aristocrats. 

Even Royalties commissioned this prestigious new company to design pieces of jewelry for the King and Queen.

Aside from that, Rozienheim acquired almost all of the mining sites in Frizkiel, a country famed for its mountains of golds and precious stones.

But little was known about the aloof cold woman behind the gigantic new corporation. 

Alvaro already investigated her.

Orphaned at young, climbing her way to riches.

A first generation wealthy woman.

He could only imagine what she had to go through to achieve the kind of success she had now. 

Men like him, who were eating on a golden spoon since young, could only give her respect.

And for that, she would forever have his admiration.

Strong yet humble. Rich and powerful but not pompous nor overbearing for she knew what it was like to be poor.

He snapped out from his thoughts when Rozarria brought out a customized pen with silvery diamond ink and signed her name on the beige colored parchment papers. He had one of those too, customized pen and ink that could not be imitated elsewhere. In their line of work, every effort to combat forgery was a must.

Rozarria handed the papers back to him. From start to finished, she didn't say anything aside from the usual greetings which made him vexed. 

He was not accustomed to women brushing him off.

"Aren't you going to ask me why I wanted to collaborate with your company?" he said, attempting to start a conversation.

Cole enterprise wanted to expand their business in BlackPine country in line with jewelry making. But since BlackPine was more famed for its fertile soil and not much for its precious stones, they had to collaborate with the number one stone mining company in the world. 

However, the real reason why they wanted this venture was not entirely concerning jewelry but rather, produced new types of weapons that uses pieces of jewelry.

A first of its kind, if ever. 

This was the line the Cole was secretly famous for. Behind the unappealing harmless number one food corporation in the world, they secretly undergone operations and built laboratories to produced weapons and gadgets incorporating new technologies.

The reason why Alvaro personally flew towards the north to Frizkiel was because of this important collaboration. When all things fail, he could always use his charms. Especially that he knew it was a woman he was going to deal with. 

But all those preparations of seduction went down the drain when Rozarria signed her name without even batting an eyelid.

Not looking at him, Rozarria gently sipped her tea before answering in a soft voice, "No need. As long as my company benefited from this collaboration, I don't care what you'll do with the stones."

Alvaro's heart beat more than usual. Though his gentlemanly facade didn't give anything away. He didn't know why he was bothered about her answer. Maybe because she had an inkling on what they were going to do with the stones, or . . . he found himself wanting to hear her soft, somewhat forlorn voice once more.

Shaking away the thoughts from his mind, he stared at her in silence. 

He prided himself in accurately reading people with just the slight movement of their eyes, their body or from the contortion of their face. But oddly, he had troubled reading the stoic woman's current thoughts and emotions.

Her eyes were sharp and clear, yet it somewhat covered in fog, appearing like frost glass. Her paralyzed face was expressionless and indifferent like she was born with it, yet she was not exactly mean. Instead, she was rather . . . kind. 

Her voice was soft and gentle, yet it conveyed power and command. She acted like money was everything, and yet she disliked power and riches.

She's full of contradictions!

He extended his hand at her, and smiled his charmest. "I guess this it then. I'm looking forward with working with you."

Rozarria stared at his extended hand and looked over at Alvaro himself.

Well-groomed hair alternating from black to dark brown. Thick lashes and brows. Well defined face and nose. 

And those eyes. 

Eyes that were seducing everyone. Such an alluring pair of light blue eyes almost silvery.

Good looks and effortless charms. Suit and tie, covering well-trained muscles. 

He was the kind of guy who could sweet talk anyone and they would smile right back at him. Oblivious to his dark, diabolical side.

Handsome.

That was the only word she could think of. But she was not the type to fall into looks. If she did, she might have rooms of good-looking men filling her entire estate.

Alvaro was a little perplexed and somewhat uncomfortable when Rozarria just stared at him as if studying his face. He was about to retract his hand when she accepted it.

"Same here."

It had been three days since Jun left the village. Finally, he had crossed the border between the lands of fire and grass.

Sitting in the middle of a small clearing, he used sticks to puncture fish and mushrooms before stabbing them into the ground, letting them roast.

While he waited, he gazed at the forest around him. The last time he'd been in this country was back in the era of warring states. 

The trees were enormous, blocking almost all sunlight, and had giant mushrooms protruding out of their bark.

As the pleasant smell of cooked fish reached his nose, Jun relaxed. 'You don't realize how much you miss camping alone until you do it...'

Memories of when he was just a little brat resurfaced in Jun's mind. Back then, he remembered being on guard at all times, since there could be an enemy in any corner. It was partly thanks to the ongoing state of war that he could refine his skills so much as a ninja.

Taking out his bingo-book, Jun read Kakuzu's information. Not much was known about his abilities, but there was news about him being sighted near Kusagakure in the past few weeks.

'It says here that he's an expert bounty-hunter... Interesting.' The book detailed Kakuzu's personality, stating that he had an unhealthy adoration for wealth. Witnesses reported that he was known for mercilessly slaughtering people who tried to scam him, as well as always going for the targets with the highest value on their heads.

Although the information was quite vague, for Jun, this was enough. He had a feeling that this person would grant him some much-needed fun.

Taking out a scroll, Jun opened it and read through its contents. Inside was a list of important people wanted in the black market, and how much they were worth. He had gotten it from one of the Anbu's bodies back in the village.

Skipping to the 'land of grass' section, Jun searched for people that Kakuzu you might be interested in. From his 'known' track record, he never went for people worth less than five million Ryo.

Only two targets fitted that description. One was a prominent politician, and the other was a missing-nin from Kusagakure.

The former was the most expensive, his head valued at a sum of ten million Ryo. As for the missing-nin, his assassination would grant a reward of six-million.

Although money was of zero value to Jun, he could only sigh at how lucrative the black market was. A Jonin would get paid between a million and five million Ryo for an S-rank mission, rarely going over that range. 

As for bounty hunters, they could make much much more money by carrying out an arguably simpler task. 

Then again, the illegal nature of the business justified its pricing... Since the bounty-hunters, as well as the individuals and organizations that put out the bounties, were all wanted.

'He'll go for one of them.' According to the reports, Kakuzu was sighted around this area in the past few weeks. 'It'll probably be the politician...'

The politician in question was Uesugi Minamoto, a member of the grass country's council, and a person close to its daimyo.

Judging by Kakuzu's profit-oriented nature, Jun deduced that he would go for the higher-value target first. With that in mind, he rolled the scroll back up and placed it in his back pouch. he then took out a small piece of paper and brush, before writing down a message. After finishing, Jun took out another scroll and used it to summon a small hawk.

Seeing Jun, it squeaked eagerly. Smiling, the Chunin took his message and wrapped it around the bird's leg. "Deliver this to the village, hm?"

Hopping on his forearm, the hawk squeaked once again before departing at top speed. These were specially trained birds from Konoha, given to all Chunin or higher level ninja before they left on a mission.

Free time was a luxury! Especially during the first few months of training, they all saw the schedule and it was packed like sardines. So just the mention of free time became a great motivator and everyone started trying to pour their spirit particles in.

Well all except one who did it without much effort. 

"Well done! Tell me was this your first time or did you learn prior?"

"I just learned it yesterday in the library." Rin answered honestly.

"Well seems like your prep work paid off. Go enjoy your free time." Wilson smiled and made a note next to Rin's record. 

Rin gave a small bow and walked straight to the library. He still had the list of books Sylvia recommended so he intended to learn as much as possible within the free time given.

At this time there weren't many people in the library but he did see Sylvia with her own pile of books. She had a look of focus and he initially did not want to disturb her but she somehow saw him and waved to him with a bright smile. 

"Hey Syl who's that young lad?" 

Her Friend that was seated beside her was genuinely curious. She never saw her so happy seeing a member of the opposite sex before. 

As Rin got closer he heard Sylvia reply.

"My Boyfriend is course! Isn't he cute." 

Rin inwardly rolled his eyes.

'Why is she still telling this 'boyfriend' thing to people who aren't her family. Wasn't it a family issue?' Rin's little Sister would kill him if she heard of this fake boyfriend news. Rin unconsciously shivered a little at the thought.

"What! Boyfriend!? When did you get one?" Her Friend was eyeing him from top to bottom, scrutinising every detail of the person who won Syl's good graces.

Sylvia merely gave a graceful smile while Rin said nothing and his face revealed nothing. 

Her friend pouted a little and started playing Detective.

"Seeing that he's here, he must have been allowed to leave class early. A talent."

"Are you complimenting yourself by complimenting him? We all know that if you are ahead of the class you can get out of class, but did you know he's only a first year who just came in yesterday Charlie?" Sylvia smiled with a hint of pride in her voice.

"Huh? Is that possible? I never heard of anyone being able to skip the first class."

"I don't know if it was done before in the past but for his generation and ours he's the first." 

Rin didn't want to participate in their farce anymore so he took out the other books and started reading and was soon in his own world. 

 Seeing that Rin wasn't listening anymore she whispered to Sylvia "What about your other pursuers? I'm sure they won't be happy about this." 

Sylvia shrugged. She really had no good feelings for her so called 'pursuers', they were cynical and vile with no redeeming features other than their so called background. 

After a few hours the usual shocking amount of books piled up, Rin's communicator reminded him about the time and he quickly rushed back to the classroom. Leaving a huge pile of books for Sylvia and Charlie to return.

Sylvia didn't mind but Charlie was flabbergasted. 

"Is that how a Boyfriend should act? He didn't even say goodbye and left this mess behind!"

"Now now, didn't you see his dazed look. Reading and understanding this much books and the physical training together would make him a little ditzy but that's also a cute part of him." Sylvia said with a sunny smile.

"Well your Boyfriend does seem very cute." Charlie agreed.

"He's mine, don't even think about it." Sylvia gave a smile that didn't seem like she was smiling.

Not knowing that someone overheard them talking, the person in question was shocked! One of the three beauties of the Academy had a Boyfriend! 

The news spread like wildfire but no one knew who the Boyfriend Charlie mentioned was! 

Meanwhile…..

The physical training continued and the suffering for the poor first years just began. 

The running continued, if four kilometres was for breakfast, it was six kilometres for lunch. The training didn't stop there, when their legs got tired their upper bodies would be trained. 

The program was designed not only to train a person to their fullest potential but to push the limits of both the physical and mental to their limits. 

Of course everyone had different limits so the program didn't expect all of them to have a certain amount of standard at the beginning, as long as they finished what they asked with visible effort they didn't care if the students were as fast as turtles. 

They did however always made comparisons and they used Rin the youngest there. 

If anyone claimed they couldn't do it anymore or they were worse than Rin in a physical activity the Instructors would go "you can't even compare to an eight year old?" Or "What gives you the right to stop when someone as young as Rin is toughing it out?"

In a dark world where humans no longer reign supreme, hiding like rats in underground cities to survive. A young boy named Rin decided to join the army to support his injured father who got hurt in the line of duty and his precious little sister. 

He was found to have spirit particles within his body, making him eligible in becoming a state Onmyouji. 

Watch him overcome trial after trial to try and protect the ones he loves and also to ensure his own survival.

The frigid breeze blew across the deserted campus. Barren trees creaked in the wind while flurries of snow began to attack those unfortunate enough to be outside.

Unlike the normally active campus, students had their heads down, scurrying here and there. Everywhere you looked, there were college students staggering around like zombies. If their nose wasn't pressed in between the pages of a textbook, they were frantically typing on their laptops.

The library was filled to the brim. All of the desks were occupied. While most were desperately cramming information inside of their brains, others had given up. They were slumped over, fast asleep on desks and in chairs. 

Liu Aili looked as if she were to pass out at any moment. Dark purple circles rimmed her light-colored eyes. Her hair was swept back into a ponytail, and her fair skin looked sickly in the fluorescent lighting of the library. 

She stood up and shakily put her laptop into her backpack. Her hands were shaking. She frowned as she glanced toward them and muttered, "I knew that fourth cup of coffee was a bad idea." As she walked towards the exit of the library, she glanced back towards where she was sitting to make sure she didn't forget anything. 

"Crap." 

She walked back toward the desk - it was already occupied by another desperate student - and grabbed her thermos off of the table. 

"Sorry." She mumbled to the student that replaced her in the comfortable library seat. He didn't even glance at her as he responded. "No problem."

She placed her thermos into the side of her backpack before descending the grand staircase of the library. Like most of the buildings on campus, it was old. Very old. 

Liu Aili stopped to stare at the high arched ceilings and thought it was as old as it was beautiful. Even though the library was creaky and cold, it harbored a little piece of her heart. She spent countless hours in its chilly embrace. Whenever she had a paper, she would come and work here. After 4 years enrolled in college, it would be her last time coming here. She would graduate in two weeks!

She harbored no doubts about graduating, but she held a wealth of anxiety toward the future. She didn't have a job lined up, and, as much as her parents nagged her, she didn't want to go back home and be a bum while doing her job-search. It's not that she wasn't a good student. In fact, she was an excellent student. She was naturally talented academically. But she knew that talent alone did not transfer over into automatically finding a job. Her thoughts flitted toward her double-major. 

She majored in Communication Studies and in Animal Behavior. She loved animals. She adored their loyalty, their ability to be trained, and their level of intelligence. Most people harbored doubts toward how intelligent animals actually were. She snorted, they were certainly smarter than some humans! However, she knew that she would not make a very good salary by doing what she loved: training animals. She pursed her lips and started creating a mental to-do list of what she had left to do tonight.

She just finished her last paper - no need to write any more academic papers for a while! She grinned at the thought. Her grin faded as she mind moved toward what she had left to do. She only had one presentation left before she would be done for the semester. 

But Professor Cheng was notoriously difficult to please. He would fire questions as rapidly as an automatic gun spewed bullets. He was the most curmudgeonly among crotchety old man. Professor Cheng would always make little quips and snarky comments during his lectures. Her brows furrowed. He would also make little quips and snarky comments during students' presentations. It was only funny if you weren't the one he made those remarks to. 

Liu Aili had finished her presentation. But, she thought, she should compile a long list of potential questions Professor Cheng might ask her. She needed to shower and pick out her outfit for tomorrow, as well. She shuddered to think of what he might say if she showed up in an oversize hoodie and sweatpants. 

Despite his sarcastic personality, she truly admired Professor Cheng. His knowledge was expansive in the topic of animal behavior. Not only was he more knowledgeable than other people, he was more knowledgeable than most textbooks. In fact, he had written a fair amount of textbooks himself.  

She scowled as she looked at her watch. 8:02 PM. She would have to stay up half the night working on those questions. 

Oh well. I should just appreciate this is my last all-nighter as a college student, she thought in an attempt to comfort herself. 

As she walked on the snow-lined sidewalk, her mind wandered to her reading list. Her favorite authors had probably updated their novels and she had no time to read them! Tears streamed down her face. I'm sorry I haven't been a loyal reader! I will catch up tomorrow night! I promise!!!

She needed to get back to her apartment so she could get started on that list of questions. 

She tripped on an uneven chunk of sidewalk and almost fell when she slipped on ice while trying to gain her footing. "@$#!%@%@!" 

Today is really not my day!!

When Aili finally got her balance, she kept walking. She rubbed her dry and stinging eyes. They hurt due to the sheer lack of sleep she had gotten over the past week...

HOOOOONK! 

By the time she looked up, it was already too late. She only saw the truck a second before it hit her. 

As her thermos flew through the air, she wondered idly what Professor Cheng would say if he could see her right now. She could almost hear his dry voice, "Oh? So you'd rather walk into traffic than go to your final, huh?"

She landed on the frigid ground and felt her head crack against the pavement. Her legs were crushed. Was that her thermos leaking? Or was it her own life force leaking from her damaged body? She knew the pain would come soon. 

Aili watched as the snowflakes feathered softly against the night sky. They were illuminated by the headlights of the truck, she distantly observed. It was almost as if it was not her who had gotten into the accident.

As she bordered in between life and death, she heard the sound of a bell. Ding!
A mechanical voice sounded.

[System initializing...]

The f*ck?! Was she really thinking about her favorite novels before she kicked the bucket? Was it a hallucination? Shouldn't her life be flashing before her eyes or something...

[System downloading.... Download Complete. ]
[.....]
[Congratulations! You won. You have been selected for the chance to use the Transmigrating Animal Communication System. Please say "okay" to claim your reward!]

Aili said, "..."
Why does this sound like a computer virus?! Didn't they just mash her majors together and add "transmigrating" to the beginning?! 
"No...no thank you."

[Congratulations, Host! You have said "thank you." This fulfills the requirements to install the system.]
[System installing....]

WTF?! You went ahead and downloaded without asking me and now you're installing when I didn't give permission?? Installing to what?! 

[System installation complete. Initializing set-up procedure.]

The mechanical voice suddenly adopted a masculine pitch. 

[Host, do you want to live?]

What is this nonsense?

"No!" Aili blurted out. Why did its voice change? I don't understand what's going on!
[Error message: an unknown error has occurred. Repeating question one.]
[Host, do you want to live?]

She felt dumbfounded. "I'm not a host! I want to die! Who wants to live like this? I don't want to study anymore! Just let me die in peace!! So what if I die? I don't even have a job lined up!"

[Understood. Confirming response. Did you say, "I'm a host! I want to live like this! I want to study! Just let me! I don't even have a job!"]

Pei! What system. This is a virus! A virus!! 

She spit blood. She didn't know if it was from her injuries or from anger. She stayed silent and felt her body starting to cool down. Her eyes fluttered shut. Better to die than trust this shady hallucination.

[Response confirmed. Initializing transfer...]

Liu Aili's eyes snapped open. What do you mean initializing transfer?! I never agreed to this!!

Liu Aili was just a normal college student. 

Studying animal behavior and communication, she never thought that one day she would be like the stars of the novels she loved so much. 

During finals week, she had a mishap. She was so over-caffeinated and sleep deprived that she accidentally walked into the street without looking to see if a car was coming. 

CRASH!

Just like that, she was crushed by a truck.

Hovering between life and death, she heard something that came straight from the web novels she read.

System: [System initializing.....]
[........]
[Set up complete.]
[Host, do you want to live?]

Asked this simple question, Liu Aili responded right away, "No!"

System: [.....]
[Error Message: An unknown error occurred.]
[Repeat. Host, do you want to live?]

"I'm not a host! I want to die! Who wants to live like this? I don't want to study anymore! Just let me die in peace!!"

System: [Understood. Confirming response. Did you say "I'm a host! I want to live! I want to study! Just let me!"] 

Liu Aili, spurting blood, Pei! This cheap system!! Leave me in peace!!!

"Oh! I didn't expect to see you so soon, Acolyte~." Zyn said, "Come in, come in." Zyn said, noticing Ashlynn arrive to the Torture area of the Academy's prison.
"Ah.. Yes, Inquisitor!" Ashlynn stammered, Zyn's voice bringing her out of her stupor.
[Wait, when did I arrive here? Wait, why did I arrive here?! Uuugh, I can't even accidentally leave now, else I may die because Inquisitor Zyn is a bit of a sadist...]
"Ah, so now that you are here, I assume you wish to learn more about my.. Art~?" Zyn inquires, "Fortunately for you, I am just setting up another Torture subject for another Acolyte of your group.. I believe her name was Kory, yes~?"
"Ah.. Kory is going to do her task today? I thought the Overseer had assigned a week's worth of time before everyone was going to do their task.." Ashlynn murmurs, while entering the room fully, approaching the Table Zyn was working at.
"Ah, its a little lie the Overseers are told to proclaim to the Acolytes. Don't pay it too much mind~." Zyn explained dismissively, "Come, I'll show you how to correctly set up an~ interrogation.
Ashlynn joined in begrudgingly, and Zyn taught her how to correctly use various interrogation tools, alongside various chemicals and procedures required for prepping an interrogation. She got really into the lesson as well surprisingly. Zyn was very passionate of the subject, and knew all standard and illegal procedures, as well as the wide assortment of chemicals that made Ashlynn feel like going back to Chemistry class, by name. He was also very organized surprisingly, and had everything in a easy place to grab. This made things even easier for Ashlynn to learn as well.
Soon, Ashlynn was absorbed into the subject as well, absorbing all the information like a sponge and spent a large amount of her day prepping with Inquisitor Zyn. She started doing most of the work: fully securing the prisoner to interrogate, securing the IV drip into the prisoner's skin alongside resupplying the pack, etc.
Ashlynn got so absorbed, she hadn't noticed when Kory came in to accomplish her task. As Kory came in, she overheard Zyn complimenting Ashlynn, "Well done Acolyte Ashlynn, you are a natural at this~! In only a day, you have reached the level of a beginner in this art~. Well done!" Zyn happily complimented Ashlynn,
"Ash? You're here?!" Kory uttered as she turned the corner seeing Ashlynn just finishing refilling one of the various machines that littered the room.
Hearing Kory, Ashlynn jumps and turns around, "Uh.. Hi." she mutters sheepishly,
"I've been looking for you all DAY! And you've been HERE?!" Kory shouts frustratedly,
"Oh.. uh... Sorry..." Ashlynn mutters,
"Sorry?! That's ALL you can SAY?!" Kory shouts,
"Oh~ this should be interesting~." Zyn muttered from the sidelines, not wishing to interrupt the fun.
[Wait, what does she want me to say if not sorry? Fuck! Women are confusing.]
"Well.. I... Uh.. I should probably go..." Ashlynn mutters, edging towards the door,
"Wait, why were you EVEN here?! Your trial was yesterday, was it not? What in the hell were you doing here?!" Kory shouted yet again,
"I...I" Ashlynn stammered, before she closed her eyes to calm down, shutting out Kory's shouting, and then opened them while stating, "Shut up."
Hearing Ashlynn, Kory was flabbergasted, "Shut UP?! AFTER BEING YOUR ONLY FRIEND IN THIS GOD FORSAKEN PLACE?! YOU DARE TO TELL ME TO SHUT UP... SLAVE?!" Kory shouted from the top of her lungs, her irises flashing yellow and the dark side starting to take it's toll on her skin around her eyes.
"Excuse me? Slave?! Kory, how DARE you say that to me! After all I helped you with! Fine! Goodbye Kory." Ashlynn stated, anger peeping into her voice, and walked out of the room, headed to the Library.
Ashlynn angrily walked to the Library, muttering obscenities¹ in English as she went up the stairs past Acolytes. Upon arriving, she tried to go to studying the Sith Code and the MANY meanings to it. She wanted to look into the tattoo she had acquired ages ago, but found nothing of the sort in the plethora of books she had read regarding the subject, but there was still much more to look into. She opened the next book in her list, and started reading, but her thoughts kept on leading back to the fight with Kory, distracting her.
She tried for an hour to read, but gave up, moving to something more practical she had in mind. 
[Alright.. I should try to figure out a Lightsaber style to adhere to... Although I hate using my Warblade, it has most definitely been useful from time to time so I should learn how to properly use it.. But the problem is... All the Forms have distinct problems and counters! Obviously, Shii-Cho is the most taught and most basic of the Forms, but it is countered by Makashi! Uuugh, what to choose, what to choose!]
Ashlynn spent some time, organizing her thoughts, and then realized something.
[Wait! I'm an Inquisitor! Duh! I should focus on what I exactly need. Which narrows down the choices to Soresu, Makashi, and Shien. The rest such as Niman, and Ataru should be add-ons, as I should be using my Force Powers as my main source of attack. Shien I can also count out, as it is required to learn it due to the Empire's fights against the Republic. Which leads just Soresu and Makashi.. Soresu is super defensive.. While Makashi is accurate and difficult to learn... Hmm.. If I learned Soresu... Nah. I want to learn Makashi. Calm and elegant, as well being used primarily for duels, it would be perfect for the occasional Jedi attack from various missions in the story of SWTOR. Also.. Kory is good at Shii-Cho. It would be great to get some payback...]
With Ashlynn's mind made up, she went to the Lightsaber Combat section, and trained in Form 2: Makashi for the rest of the day, returning to the dorms around 9:30, and finding Kory on a single bed far away from where her and Ashlynn usually slept at.
[Fine, don't want to sleep near me anymore, fine! Wait, should I apologize? ... No. I wasn't in the wrong for learning. SHE called me a Slave, despite knowing exactly what that meant to me. SHE should apologize.]
Finished thinking, Ashlynn huffed in Kory's direction, who was talking to some of the other Acolytes around her, and took a bed away from Kory, and fell asleep.

¹: I could write all the obscenities... but I don't like swearing in writing. It just feels less authentic I guess.. Use your imagination for the insults hurled at Kory. Of course, the less authentic doesn't count towards the F word as it is a Noun, Adjective, adverb, interjection, and a Verb. It could even be two of the aforementioned at the same time! (Take my word for the last one...)

A small group of friends decide to come back to Star Wars: The Old Republic and all make new characters... Only as they finish their character creation they are transported into the world of Star Wars! May the Force be with them.. This will follow the Inquisitor's story and be from her point of view. The Story will follow the class missions pretty linearly for a good while until I get more comfortable writing... I obviously don't own Star Wars: The Old Republic so all rights for Star Wars: The Old Republic goes to Bioware and their Overlord, Electronic Arts Inc. Releases will be Monday with three chapters and Friday with four chapters around 2:00 Pacific Standard Time

Axl's private house, Thursday, 8.00am.

Axl was already awake and eating breakfast, he was now living in his house for four days.

The day he came here, after Miatra left he made himself familiar with the rooms and facilities. 

There were multiple rooms, like a living room, kitchen, dining room, multiple bedrooms, storage room which held multiple training weapons of different types and materials.

There was a large bathroom with a shower, bath, sauna and even a hot spring, the toilet was separated though. 

There was luckily also a small manual on how to use everything.

That first day he just moved around a bit, and meditated, cause he still didn't feel a hundred percent comfortable with his body yet.

The second day, Axl was still a little sore but not much, he started exercising the way his uncle's manuals suggested, 

He did this halfway throughout the day, 
he ate properly in between training. 

He took a relaxing bath afterwards, 
he then made some tea and enjoyed the cold air and the view outside.

After he started meditating, Ate dinner, did some light exercise and took a quick shower, before heading to bed..

The third day was pretty much the same thing,
He was almost in perfect condition, so in the evening he tried out the hotspring and did some meditation before sleeping.

Today was fourth day he just finished breakfast, he felt pretty great he was about to change into his training gear till he felt something strange, he quickly sat down closed his eyes and started meditating.

When he opened his eyes again he was floating inside an entirely different space..

'Where.. Am I?' a light suddenly flashed and in front of him was thick Crystal Book, 'What's this book' Axl out of curiosity touched it.

The book shimmered a little and slowly opened, letter started slowly appearing.

Axl started reading.

Axl felt a bit reluctant, but then he quickly shook his head. 

'No! I can't give up! I'll definitely reap all the benefits out of this!'

Axl was fired up and pressed the Expert option quickly without hesitation.

The book shimmered again and went to the next page..

The book shimmered once again,
It turned into a ball of light, 
And went into Axl body..

Suddenly Axl was back in his home in a meditative position.

He quickly stood up and heard something,
*ping* Suddenly something popped up in front of him it looks like a screen.

Trial starting now, scanning..
*ping* Scanning complete..
In a week do the following:

Axl was pretty excited as he read through the list, but once he saw the last task he turned pale, 'W-Waterfall T-training!? That's crazy!'

Axl slowly resolved himself and started preparing, He then walked outside.

Axl with full determination starting going through the whole list, slowly but surely.

He trained throughout the day, eating and resting in between.

At around 7pm Axl finally collapsed, 
he laid down on his back on the ground breathing heavily.

'Damn, that was rough, just the waterfall left on the list, luckily, I still have a week.'

Axl slowly got back up and walked home, he took a bath and went to bed he quickly fell asleep.

The next morning around 7am, Axl woke up,  
he felt like a rock, he took a food pill as he didn't feel like making something to eat, 
he just jumped into the sauna and relaxed a little he then took a cold shower it hurt a bit but he pushed through.

Five minutes later, he quickly grabbed a towel and and alarm clock and went outside naked towards the waterfall.

Standing in front of the waterfall, 
there was a platform beneath the waterfall, people probably trained here in the past.

Axl was already shivering because of the cold air, luckily it wasn't snowing..

He set the alarm to go off every 15 minutes, then carefully started moving into the waterfall it was rushing quite roughly.. 
Step by step, It was was cold, it hurt a lot especially after his workout from yesterday. 

'Argh! This is painful!' Axl now stood completely engulfed in the waterfall.
'It's hard to breath, come on Axl! you can do it!'

Axl slowly pushed through and stood on one leg, he was wobbling quite a bit but he eventually managed to stand in place steadily, he was starting to get used to the cold and rushing water, and every time he heard a loud ring he slowly switched legs.

After the sixth ring he quickly got out of the water, his legs felt weak.. he grabbed his towel to dry himself while he wobbled back inside to take a bath..

After finally sitting in the bath he relaxed a little as he warmed up, "Argh, everything hurts again! Can't believe I still have eight and a half hours to go.. Eh? I think this is the first time i actually spoke out loud.. I guess.. this is what happens when you are.. all alone.." 

Axl felt a bit depressed, his father nor his mother have any interest in him..

'Someday i will definitely find someplace.. 
I truly belong! I'll show you all i'll become someone great!'

Axl relaxed a little bit longer before heading out, he grabbed something to eat and started meditating in the living room.

He opened his eyes and he was in that weird space again, 'Just what.. is this place? Am i inside my mind.. or something similar?'

suddenly something shimmered again and the book popped up in front of Axl once more.

It was on the page he saw before

Eh? wait a minute, it actually continued counting after a hundred? what does this mean? Could it be that I can exceed the requirements.. I wonder if i can gain something better if I keep it up daily.. 
I just need to be careful not to over exhaust myself..'

Opening his eyes Axl slowly stood up and checked the time, '11.30am already!? I should take it easy for now, I'll do some light exercises, I'll make a few meals for the coming days, so I won't have to use to many food pills.' Axl did just that he made some meals, exercised and showered before turning in for the day.

Axl continued his training the coming three days, he decided he wanted to at least double the trial score for most of them, before he completed his ten full hours standing in the waterfall, just in case it completed automatically if he reached ten total.

Axl was currently standing in the waterfall he just had one last set to go, to complete the trial, he didn't have to much trouble anymore currently holding on, as he got used to doing this over and over again.. 

Axl was holding his breath waiting with anticipation, *Ring!* the final set was now finally done! He walked out and waited, but nothing happened, 'Hm? Nothing.. Guess it will continue until the full week passed, the cap is two hundred, so I guess the waterfall is the only thing, I currently can increase in.'

Axl walked home to warm up and rest for the day, 'Tomorrow Miatra will visit to supply me with more ingredients etc better to be well rested just in case.' he did some stretching before he went to sleep.

Easy-peasy. Most of the remaining Collection of Gods forces were Jingoists, who well deserved to die…

The thought dragged him out of his bed and into the yard for sword practice, until the full dawn of the day.
At the moment, the news on Nogiwa Hakushun's death spread out, and Conservative members like Sakurai Yaeko and Oda Tokuma were the first group of outsiders to learn about it.
No one had any clues on the murderer's identity. According to the insider information of the Collection of Gods, the Heavenly Network was the only suspect and no attempts were made to create an illusion of an internal conflict.
Oda's face was expressionless upon hearing the news. He agreed on the involvement of the Heavenly Network. Yet… Where were they? Why was there no trace at all?!
In fact, Oda did hope for the interference of an external force to disrupt the Jingoists' complete dominance. But it certainly had better not be the Heavenly Network, a non-native force.
In the meantime, Nie Ting was reading the update in the Liuhai Lane. His fingers tapped rapidly on the stone table, and his face remained expressionless throughout. Shi Xuejin shot him a curious look and asked, "Why so happy?"
Nie Ting showed him the news, and the latter was stunned at once. "So fast? It's only been a few days. This kid, is certainly not very forgiving… You need to watch out."
