Before all of them left and dropping of the kids first to there room, one of them excuse herself.


"Ah, wait for a minute"


"What's wrong?"


"..." no reply since she go where the young boy standing is and said to him using the universal language "thank you for helping us and can you go back on your own?"


Surprise that she's concern with him but he answered it right away "your welcome and yes I can go back on my own"


"That's good and by the way I'm Ellyn, how about you?" then offering her hand.


"Jinyu" and accepting her hand.

Jinyu standing in a daze and blush then enough to heard them and understand since they're talking in Ceno.

Lynel : Who's that Sis you're boyfriend?

Ellyn : Where did you learn that word?


Lynel : I'm smart you know so is that you're boyfriend?


Ken : Not a boyfriend Lynel and he help us about searching you guys 


Ren : I see, so a friend?


Ellyn : His also one of the entourage

Meanwhile the other kids, already got drop off by the designers and apologized that they lost sight of the kids awhile ago and instead of getting scold the family they just thanking them and nothing else since nothing happened to them. Both Ren and Lynel are telling why they got lost and then Lynel telling that Ellyn found a friend but don't know who it is since Ellyn didn't tell who is he. 


At lunch, the family together with Tae eat and chatting again then waiting for the gathering of guests. At exactly 1pm, they get out from the room and drop the kids first for the rehearsal and Aya, as a worrywart grandma remind the kids.


"Listen kids, don't wander around and just stay here"

So kids listen alright and this is your final line up (then looking to them again and then re arrange it accordingly to their beauties and height), first for the young boys, you will be the first (Jo Rui), you're second (Li Jinxi), you're the middle (Jang Ren), then you (Jang Ken) and then you're the last (Li Jinyu). Good, good, remember this is your final line up.



All : (young boys all nodded at the same time)



EO : Good, good now for the young girls. (Looking to them again and then re arrange it again accordingly to their beauties and height), you will be the first (Du Ara, daughter of the groom sister), next you (Meng Shi, daughter of the bride cousin), you're the middle young Miss Kaede, follow by you (Lynel) and you will be the last (Ellyn). So kids remember this line up and it is the final one and we will ask your name so that we can't be wrong calling you since I re arrange it.


Then her assistant get the name of the kids, make a name tag then put on their upper right chest before proceeding the rehearsal. The entourage practice is about when to walk the aisle and then walk together with their partner who line up with them. After the organizer got satisfied with their walk, they got a short break.


Ren : Woah, I'm happy that they arrange the line up and I got partnered with you Kaede.


Kaede : Yeah, I'm so happy Bro Ren.


Lynel : Neh Bro Ken, look out with Sis Ellyn.


Ken : Mmm...(then looking to their direction), they seem close now

Yukari blushed and hit him since this guy was really shameless. 

"Stop! Stop!" Yuuki held both of Yukari's hands stopping her from hitting him. 

"What special exercise?" Mugi's eyes brightened while looking at both Yuuki and Yukari. 

Azusa, Yui, Ritsu, and Mio were also very interested and looking at them curiously waiting for them to explain it to them. 

"T - This...." Yukari wasn't sure what to say and she was really embarrassed at that moment. "You bastard! This is your fault!"

He was more concerned about Conan's relationship with Ran since Conan would definitely move around to solve a lot of cases and left Ran alone on the house making her lonely. He also felt that he shouldn't support Conan since he was afraid that Ran would fall into his arms in a similar way to Rias.

As he stood there, wondering what the girl was saying, he heard her speak again. "Never mind" Then he turned around and ignored her too. He decided to take out his phone and check for any messages and notifications. He scrolled around for a while and by the time he was done, the train had already arrived. After waiting for it to stop and the previous passengers to exist, he decided to enter as fast as he could so he might secure a chair.  

As soon as he got in, he found out that most of the seats have been filled and he almost couldn't find any empty seat. That was until he peered at the end at the row for the empty seat. That was when he noticed something peculiar, someone was just holding onto the JDM tsurikawa. Except that person didn't even seat in the empty seat. Thinking it was weird, he decide to go closer and check out the situation. As he turned to look at the clock on top nailed on the train's ceiling, he noticed it was 9:16 am. One minute earlier than the girl told him, he thought maybe her watching was behind or something. At least better behind than front, am I right?

He noticed that was weird. Shaking off the strange thoughts, he moved towards the empty seat and decided to just seat in it. As he did, he looked again at the person standing in front of him and holding onto the train handle. He noticed it was the girl, strangely grinning at him again. That prompted him to look away and fidget on his phone. Just the idea at that some cute girl was grinning while looking at him intently terrified his poor little heart and he couldn't find a hole to dig his head into.

As he tried to take his mind off it, he saw an old woman holding the train handle and coughing, looking a little sickly. As a self proclaimed good person, he decided to do the bare minimum and tell her to walk over and sit in his place while he stands up. The old woman smiled at him and accepted his proposal. After she had walked over, he stood up and grabbed the tsurikawa near him. That made him have no choice but to look at her again. Except this time he decided to ask her why she was grinning at him. 

"Wh-What....time is it?"

Dang it, he said to himself. He got so nervous that he randomly couldn't speak out the words and ended up asking her about the time again. That was when he got a weird answer.

"I've already told you. 9:17 am"

Noticing she was still referring to the broken watch of hers, he tried to correct her but suddenly got dumbfounded. He looked once again at the train's clock, and it was really 9:17 am. Then he thought again about something peculiar. Her watch looked smart. A bit too smart, like it's from the future. Maybe it was a custom made watch or something but that wouldn't explain how an obviously expensive looking watch would be broken. That means she was sure about the time. Also, she just happened to stand near the empty seat, that is somehow close to the train's clock and you can see at the same time. 

During his thinking, he also thought about how he took the seat comfortably, and felt no sense of guilt while she was standing there and then the next moment he gave up his seat to the old sick woman. And decided to stand next to the girl.

It's like she predicted all this. 

He suddenly felt his palm getting sweaty, his knees getting weak and arms getting heavy- Hmph Hmph i mean he got cold sweats on his back, and spoke out slowly.

"H-How did you know?"

She replied with the same smile.

"Hey, aren't you a bit too dramatic. Like some anime character"

He answered her immediately.

"I don't watch anime, but I know I'm as dramatic as those side characters in detective animes."

" I just did a simple deduction on you based on your behavior. Atleast I know all I need to know about you. I can also tell that you prefer fantasy world novels as opposed to urban world. Also you're a martial arts Xianxia fan, but hate tragedy."

He replied knowingly.

"Who doesn't? After all, martial arts are freakin fun when put in a world where put in a world where people freakin split planets with their pinkies or entire realms.....whatever that means. I find tragedy novels bad since I get emotionally invested in characters for hundreds of chapters, only for the female lead to die tragically or separated forever. While that only prompt a small revenge arc from the MC and I've had to deal with endless close calls of the female lead almost killed or abused. Therefore when she finally dies, you would only think the author ran out of plot armors for her. "

She replied with a grin.

"Then why don't you like urban world CN novels?"

He thought for a while and spoke.

" They are usually full of double standards. The characters are too patriotic and extremely racists against foreigners or "westerners " as they call them. Whereas they ignore the corrupt government and their young masters who break every rule in the book. It makes you think that the common people in China are being slaughtered left and right by young masters who don't like them or didn't get enough face. "

She laughed jovially and covered her mouth. Except, her pearly whites were showing through her fingers. She spoke again.

"You're very funny. It seems you get too invested in these novels. You should get a life or different hobby. They can ruin you. They almost ruined me too."

He spoke, a bit suprised. 

"What do you mean?"

She answered him by saying.

"I found a good CN novel with almost 1000 chapters. I couldn't stop myself from reading it everyday, and I even extended my break times and got fired for it. And the weird thing about it? I never regretted "

He spoke with doubt in his eyes.

"Does that make you some kind of addict? "

She replied with some annoyance.

"No. Just irresponsible. Anyway my favorite novels are always transmigration or reincarnation."

He asked again with some curiosity, with almost  shining eyes.

" Is it because they are normal people with extremely life changing experiences? Like warehouse worker to god slaughtering freak?"

"That sounds too chuunibyou." She replied with a grin,and spoke again. "It's true though. Even the very idea that a common random atheist guy gets to use freaking magic and do some supernatural stuff amazes me. Anyway, about you. Is it your first time going to work in this city?"

He became suprised at how she changed the topic to him. Except he now ignored that thought.

" Yeah, I just moved her last month. And I've graduated with almost no social or working skills. I didn't know how long could survive. So I chose to get a little job part time. "

She replied knowingly.

"Oh, it's obvious from your attire and behavior. Don't ask me how I noticed, I'm not Conan and won't point out the wrinkles in your $40 dollar shirt that screams of old age or the way you're clutching tightly the bag that's full of your personal documents and the confidence you exuded when entering the train. Like you want people to know you've taken it before. That proves you have taken the subway at least less than 10 times  in your lifetime. That points to you coming from a place without subways. Like the central states and the South. I apologize. I usually get into it when I start showing off my excellent deductions."

He spoke again while knowing what she thought.

" I am actually surprised. You managed to glean the truth from those impossible clues and nonsense straw man fallacy, and somehow the conclusions were correct. It's like you don't want to tell me what you actually noticed that lead to your answers. Now please tell me, how did you know all that?"

Having been summoned from Earth, he realized he was now in a cultivation world where humans could destroy cities and shatter planes with their after shocks. 

Armed with nothing but a simple cultivation method he traded for sheep skin, he decides to train and go against the heavens like the peerless reincarnated cultivators he read in novels.

But what is this? This method doesn’t increase strength? Not even soul strength and at the end I’m as powerless as a mortal? Then what’s the point of it?

Today is November 2nd, 2019, and I have decided to begin writing my own novel. In particular, this is an auto biography meant for me to remember my own life in the years to come.

I woke up today at around 8AM, however I was too lazy to actually get up. I looked to my right and grabbed my phone off of my nightstand. There I began watching watching some youtube videos and periodically checking my discord server.

I forgot to mention in my prologue but I have a profound interest in technology. I spend my freetime researching computer hardware and mobile devices, and run a tech discord server online. I won't go into details as I would prefer to stay anonymous, but I help people build computers and enjoy watching videos on new product releases, tutorials, unboxings, etc...

So I continued to watch youtube and check discord for around an hour. 

I actually got up at around 9AM. I hopped in the shower, brushed my teeth, and got ready for the overall tasks of the day. 

First and foremost, I had a singular physics homework problem to finish up. I had done all my physics homework the night before except for that problem, as I had gone to church on Friday night for All Saints Day and did not have time to finish it. I didn't want to worry about it when I had came home since it would be rather late, so I saved it for Saturday.

I looked at the physics problem, and at first I was rather confused. It asked me to find the period and velocity of a satellite circling the moon when given the mass of the moon, the moon's radius, and the distance the satellite was from the moon.

It was then that it clicked in my head that first I would need to find the acceleration of gravity on the moon. In order to do this, I plugged the values I had into the formula g = (GM)/r^2. In this case, G is a constant always being 6.67 * 10^-11 (N*m^2)/kg^2. The M was just the total mass of the moon given, and the r was just distance of the satellite from the moon.

After finding the acceleration of the gravity, or g, to find the velocity all I had to do was plug that value into the formula g = (v^2)/r. This is possible because the question has specified it was a circular orbit.

I then had to do the same thing to find the period, however replacing v with (2πr)/T, where T is the period and solving as a normal equation.

After finishing this problem, I was somewhat confident but rather confused as I hadn't used the radius of the moon at all. I contacted my older brother and asked him to check my work. He was dissapointed because the total radius was not just the distance of the satelite from the moon, but the distance + the moon's radius. This clicked and it made sense. I re did the calculations and now I'm rather sure I have the correct answer and understand the concept.

After finishing this problem, it was probably around 9:30 and I realized I had awakened abnormally early for just this problem. I was expecting it to take longer but it didn't, and I was fully dressed as if I was going out. 

However, I had no plans for the day. I honestly didn't know what to do and settled for eating some of this refridgerated banana cake my mother had brought home from work the previous day.

After finishing the cake, I was relatively bored and decided to check for the day's anime episode releases. At the moment I am currently watching around 6 or so ongoing series, and it just so happens a lot of them come out on Saturday.

I first checked Detective Conan, but no new episode had been released. I then noticed a new Sword Art Online III second season episode had been released and watched it. It was okay, but SAO is surely not my favorite series, just something to pass the time.

I then watched a few episodes of goblin slayer, a small, finished series that I had recently started watching. Overall, I spent a few hours just watching these shows and before I knew it the clock read 12:30.

I then got up and walked to the kitchen. I began looking for something to eat for lunch. I found one of those cheap one-meal containers of Kraft macaroni and cheese. I honestly am not a fan of these, but it was the best thing I found and I wasn't planning on being greedy with lunch today.

I heated it up in the microwave and ate it. It actually wasn't that bad despite the fake powdered cheese it uses.

I then set my phone down to charge. It was around one or two o'clock at this point. Recently I updated my phone to android Pie, or android version 9.0. Ever since, I've noticed severely decreased battery life. I have an LG V30 at the moment and before the software update I was getting 7-9 hours screen on time. However, since the update, I was constantly only getting around 5 or so hours of screen on time. It's unfortunate but oh well I guess.

While my phone was charging, I practiced playing some piano. I have played piano for quite a while, however all I have is a very cheap keyboard that I got like 13 years ago. Particularly, the model is the Casio LK 100. However, in the end it does work and I do enjoy practicing songs such as the Detective Conan main theme, tetris, and Kamado Tanjiru No Uta (from Kimetsu No Yaiba).

A couple hours went by and my phone was eventually fully charged. It was probably around 4PM at this point and I was insanely bored. I had told my friends I probably couldn't hangout today, but was beginning to regret that decision. I then realized that the thing that could make the day fun was a trip to tacobell.

The only obstacle was that the nearest tacobell is 20 miles away and I don't even have my learner's permit yet. I asked my mother if she had any errands to run or anything, and reminded her the mall was right next to the tacobell.

She agreed to go to the mall and to drop me off to have some tacobell, however I had to wait a good three and a half hours. I literally sat on the couch just listening to anime openings for that entire time, wondering when she would come downstairs and she would live. We finally left at 7:30.

I called the tacobell to see when they closed the lobby, as some close their lobbies pretty early and stay drive thru only. Luckily, the one near the mall did not close the lobby until 10PM.

I got a ride to tacobell and then realized I had nearly no money, no more than a few bucks. I decided I would claim my T Mobile Tuesday free crunchy taco supreme, and then just purchase a large drink. That way I could get a meal for just $2 plus tax.

I walked into the tacobell and fidgeted on my phone to attempt to get the T Mobile Tuesday deal working for a solid five or so minutes. It wasn't working properly and I was frusrated knowing my budget, so I thought 

"Agh screw this, I'm just going to buy my drink real quick and I'll figure this out at my table."

I went and asked for a drink at the front counter, and as I was getting my debit card out the employee said,

"It's alright, this one is on the house."

I realized that she had probably seen my frustration trying to use my phone to order and just gave me this free drink out of pity. I gladly accepted though.

Soon afterwords, I was able to get the deal to work and also received my free taco. So, basically, I got an entire meal for free and I was very happy.

I then sat down and ate, and I sat in the tacobell for around thirty minutes. During my stay I took a picture of my food and sent it to my friends, and I explained how I got everything for free.

I also noticed a group of people walk in all wearing clothing representing a particular University. Seeing as it was one University I was interested in, I approached them. I confirmed that they had all attended that University and asked for their SAT/ACT statistics out of curiosity.

One claimed that he had gotten a 1400 on his SAT, and the other that he had gotten a 33 on his ACT. I saw this as both good and bad. I've taken the SAT once and I received a score of 1380. I got lower than expected in math at a 700, but I also did insanely well compared to what I expected in english, at a 680. I truly hope I can get into the college they had attended with my score.

Soon, my mother showed up at the taco bell. She was done looking at things at the mall, and she picked me up and we headed home.

Soon after getting home, I got in and began talking to my older brother and a few friends on discord. We were talking about general things, and I told them about my college conversation with the alumni I had met.

One of my friend's then suddenly asked me whether or not my sister had gone to college. I told him that my sister went to community college but had then dropped out. With a highschool GPA of 2.6 and an ACT score of 14, you couldn't really expect much more.

We continued to talk about various things and my older brother told me he was going to write a book on web novel. It was then that I decided I wanted to write this auto biography.

I got started with the prologue, and now that I am finishing this first chapter it is slightly past midnight. I'll be heading to bed soon and I have set the timer to post this chapter at 5AM.

This is my life. I am writing this story to always remember where I came from in the years to come.

This chapter will be deleted when I post the next chapter.

First, I would like to apologize for not being a new chapter, I know that many people like this romance.

Second, many people are accusing me of copying an anime called Grisaia No Rakuen.

I didn't copy the anime! I just took a scene that I really liked in the anime and adapted it for my Fanfic. Many authors
 of fanfic mainly of anime like Akikan, and others that I don't remember the name now, copy several scenes of animes and put in their romance, I don't see anyone putting a lot of negative Review in their novels.

I am not belittling the work of these authors, for me it does not matter, as long as something changes in the novel, I will accept it.

So how many chapters did Akikan use Conan and embody him from his anime? he practically copied and pasted it, he just introduced his character in the middle of everything.

I repeat again, I am not belittling Akikan, I am a big fan of him, I started making fanfics because of him. (If Akikan reads this, I apologize for using his name.)

Anyway, I see a lot of people copying and pasting anime content in their novels and just changing a few things, it happens mainly in DXD and Naruto Fanfic.

Do people complain and give negative reviews because of this? No, right?

Grisaia No Rakuen has a scene in which the anime MC has sex with a blonde who is a friend of his master, is this considered pedophilia? Yes! but someone complained !? no ... because you are used to such a character in Japanese works, everyone called (including me) the protagonist a badass.

So stop texting me about it, if you don't like it, just don't read it. I'm doing this business for free and trying to raise money with Pa treon to buy better equipment and make an original novel one day.

I apologize again to anyone who was waiting for a new chapter. Just stop sending me messages like. "This novel is rubbish! It's just a copy!" or "Is this pedophilia? What rubbish!"

Seriously, these people complain about copying in a Fanfic, the very essence of a Fanfic (Most of the time) is a copy.

Anyway, just stop texting me about it! if you don't like it just don't read it! I honestly have low self-esteem, you can call me a crybaby or whatever, but my life in my country sucks! just writing and putting my ideas down on paper I feel better.

The past was the past; now, he just treated Loopy Toad as a member of the Wang family. It was enough for him to know that it was a loyal dog.
Therefore, the person Loopy Toad was the closest to in the Wang family after Little Master Ling was Grandfather Wang.
Teacher Pan had borrowed Loopy Toad for a few days for the military training. It appeared to have lost a lot of weight, which made the old man's heart ache just looking at it. Loopy Toad suddenly raised its head and looked suspiciously at the old man; it didn't know why he would suddenly bring up this sad topic.
It didn't know any techniques for measuring fate, but it knew how to read faces a little, and it was very certain in its heart that for the old man to live to a ripe old age was definitely not a problem.
"Even if I can live to be ninety, that's less than thirty years away. You are a demon king, and you know how to cultivate. Shouldn't you live longer than me?"
The old man smiled inanely and squatted down to rub Loopy Toad's head. "No matter how long I'll be able to stay with you or who you'll guard the house for in the future, right now, you are my family's dog."
Wang Ling looked at this scene through the doorway.
He saw that Loopy Toad actually had tears in its eyes.

After dinner was when the old man would watch TV.
Based on Mother Wang's recommendation, he had finished watching the entire series of The Story of the True Ring[2]. Then, under Father Wang's careful guidance, he had finally learned how to use the TV's search function, and was able to browse for dramas he was interested in.
The old man had recently been watching a large-scale inspirational youth drama production about cooking called The Verdant and Spicy Years[3]. It told the story of a young chef from a family of chefs who, in his struggles to become a kitchen god, went on a search for the legendary godly onion[4] which was said to be able to bring out the fullest umami flavor of a dish, and he was accompanied by his little sister childhood sweetheart as well as his warmhearted gay friend.
In the quest for this legendary godly onion, these three people experienced countless dangers. In the end, the protagonist's sweetheart sacrificed her own ancestral white water lily to attract the godly onion. It was when the godly onion was sucking the white water lily dry, almost turning it into black fungus, that the protagonist and his gay friend decisively made a move and grabbed the godly onion with an R Flash[5]. In the end, the trio joined forces to become master chefs!
The old man hugged Loopy Toad, one hand stroking its dog fur while he used the other to wipe away his tears.
He had never cried like this before he had watched The Story of the True Ring. Now, he was wholly moved by the protagonist as he struggled on his path toward becoming a kitchen god; it was a story which resonated significantly with the old man.
He couldn't help sighing emotionally in his heart: this, was true damn youth!
Conversely, Loopy Toad was clearly taken aback by the plot of this drama as it stared at the TV blankly.

When Loopy Toad returned to the room at eight o'clock that evening, it found Little Master Ling cleaning Jingke's sword body.
Cleaning Jingke was very different to cleaning other swords. It couldn't touch water, and it couldn't be rubbed with spirit sand as that would destroy the grain pattern on the sword.
In essence, it was still a peach wood sword, so more care had to be taken with its maintenance.
Wang Ling hadn't cleaned Jingke with such care for a very long time. He had to infuse the spirit earth specially used for cleaning wooden swords with his spirit energy and then cover every inch of Jingke's body with it as if he was applying a facial mask. After the spirit soil was completely dry, he would peel it off little by little.
It seemed very simple, but it was delicate work, so each time Wang Ling cleaned Jingke's body, he looked particularly serious. This was probably the most serious that Loopy Toad had seen him except for when he was studying.
As Loopy Toad stared at Wang Ling in the silence of their surroundings, it somehow started to feel a little sleepy…
Soon, it could no longer keep its eyes open.

Loopy Toad was dreaming from a god's perspective.
It dreamed of a fat stranger with a bloody mouth who was tied to an iron post. In front of him stood a Daoist in red.
The Daoist in red sneered, and instantly, the spirit energy behind him transformed into a hundred magic swords which pierced the fat man's chest…
The scene changed.
Loopy Toad saw the Daoist in red throw those bloody, magic swords into a furnace…
What on earth was the meaning of this dream? Loopy Toad watched blankly from a god's perspective, and heard the Daoist in red laugh wildly as he cast all the magic swords into the furnace.
At this laugh, Loopy Toad abruptly woke up.
It leapt to its feet as if it had had a nightmare. In front of him, Little Master Ling was still cleaning Jingke's sword body.
It looked at the clock on the wall — it was five minutes past eight o'clock.
This seemingly long and fragmented dream had actually only lasted five minutes.
What the hell was going on?
A few drops of cold sweat ran down Loopy Toad's face — ordinarily, it seldom dreamed while it slept.
… Was this a foreshadowing dream of the toad clan?
Loopy Toad abruptly widened its eyes.
It recalled a legend of the toad clan. Toads were lazy by nature and liked to sleep. They seldom dreamed, so if they did, it was an omen. Though Loopy Toad was a dog now, in essence, it still had the soul of a toad!
But this dream was really too strange.
From beginning to end, it had jumped from scene to scene, and it had featured people Loopy Toad had never seen before… Damn foreshadowing dream, tell me the story clearly! We're not acting out Conan[6], do you have to be so cryptic?
Loopy Toad lay flat on the ground as it pulled at its ears, suddenly feeling its brain hurt. For the time being, in the current situation, its IQ wasn't high enough to solve the riddle of this dream.

Conan pretended to be asleep on his cot, waiting for Coby and Helmeppo to come to his cell. After his talk with Ace, the pirate called him crazy and opted to get some much-needed rest. After Conan was sure Ace was asleep, he took out the tools he had managed to bring with him when he was abducted. Before they forced him out of his normal clothes, he extracted his gadgets and hid them in a tiny crevice-space between his bed post and the wall. Besides, it was dark in here, so the Navy couldn't do a proper search in here even if they wanted to. The idiots didn't bother to put lights in here. What he had wasn't much, but it was better than nothing. He had his handy watch, homing glasses, his bow-tie, his sneakers (which he still had on him), his skateboard, and soccer ball, courtesy of his travel belt. He was so glad Agasa had made the skateboard portable, he really was. Forming a plan in his head, he figured the best way to get himself and Ace out would be to destroy the sea stone cuffs. But even if he did that, what good would that do? They were severely outnumbered, and he still didn't know how powerful Ace was compared to the Admirals, but judging by the extreme hierarchy of the Navy, he assumed 4 against 1 was not a good bet here. Their best option was to knock out some Navy members and sneak on a boat. Ace could disguise a Marine, and he could disguise as someone's kid. There was one problem: he still had his friends and family to think about. The Black Organization wasn't a group of idiots; they were expecting him to escape, and looking for an excuse to go after the ones close to him. He had a scenario in mind to collect blackmail and use it against the Navy, but he only had one shot at escape, and he was dead if Ace left without him.

Snapping his head up from the sound, Conan frowned at the guard at the door, his partner should've been with him. "Where's Coby-san?" He asked,

"I've been given orders to move you to a ship, kid. Something big is going to happen today." Helmeppo replied indifferently. The boy noticed the stress in his voice, and decided to venture.

"Why? What's going on, Helmeppo-san?" Conan asked. Suddenly, a voice boomed into the prison quarters, that was no doubt, Sengoku's voice.

"Attention everyone, the execution of Portgas D. Ace, has been moved from three days, to three hours from now. Please have all personnel and weapons accounted for. Whitebeard and his crew will come at us full force, and it is our job as the Navy, to show the world that justice triumph over evil. All scouts and soldiers report to your superiors for further instruction." The announcement ended. Helmeppo sighed at Conan's shocked face. "Let's go kid."

"Why are they pushing the date so early? Helmeppo-san? Why?" The young detective was inwardly cursing; he had to enact his plan now. Feeling his wrist for his watch, Conan readied the stun gun. Conan looked to Ace, who seemed to be too shocked to say anything.

"Why are they executing, Ace-san anyways? I'm scared!" Conan cried. His acting skills scared himself sometimes.

The marine walked into the cell, and gave another sigh. "That's just how it is, you can't do anything about it. Come on, now. It's going to get crazy here, so-" Right as he was about to handcuff Conan, the detective activated his stun gun, and knocked the guard out. Catching Helmeppo, so he wouldn't make any noise falling, Conan set him down and grabbed a pair of keys he was carrying. Seeing how his own cell was unlocked, he ran over towards Ace's.

The pirate didn't even realize the boy was in his cell until he realized that a huge amount of weight was suddenly shifted off him. Ace looked down at himself and noticed he was no longer bound in chains, no longer bound to those damned sea-stone cuffs. Turning towards the child, he breathed. "How-"

"No time to explain!" Conan yelled and grabbed Ace's wrist, pulling him towards the door. Conan growled when Ace didn't move. "We have to move! It's not going to be long until they notice that one of their men hasn't returned to his post, and everyone's too distracted right now to notice such small details!"

"…Ah….you're right." Ace nodded and stood up.

Conan nodded and ran to the entrance of the prison quarters, and just as he thought, it was unlocked. Poking his head to see if there was anyone on patrol, he turned back to Ace. "All clear! Let's go!" Conan ran out the door and into the hallway.

"Oi!" Ace snapped out of his trance and realized the child ran off on his own. Following the younger boy out of his living quarters, he found his crouched down at an intersection of the hallway. They boy turned towards Ace, and motioned him to come beside him. Obeying, Ace crouched beside the detective and waited for Conan to make his next move. Noticing there some marines coming this way, he heated up his fist and prepared to blast him.

"Don't!" Conan whispered, raising his hand for emphasis. Aiming his watch carefully, he shot two pin-drop shots of electricity, effectively knocking the guards out.

Ace was stunned. "How'd you do that?"

"There's a stun gun in my watch, so I'm able to knock people out when I need to." He explained and got out of his corner. Looking at the guards he knocked out, he turned towards Ace. "How fast can you change clothes?"

"…Why?" The pirate didn't like where this was going.

Conan frowned. "You're not stupid person, Ace-san. You know why." His frown deepened at the glare he received. "We're outnumbered, outmatched, and the Navy's scrambling to get everything in order for your execution. In an organized hierarchy like this, it's best to strike when preparations are being made because that's when they're least expecting it, as well as them being arrogant enough to believe we won't be able to escape on our own. If I had allowed you to blast these two men with fire, more soldiers would've come at us, thus alerting the whole Navy we had escaped." Conan sighed. "This isn't the time to be picky; you need to sneak out quietly, not go out like an emergency flare. Now quit complaining and switch clothes with one of these guys!"

After a few moments of glaring, Ace finally complied and did as he was asked. In less than a minute, he was dressed like a normal marine, the problem was, and he wasn't as clean-looking as most of them were. Conan handed him a comb, which he found in one of the soldiers' pockets. "Now what?" Ace frowned at the comb.

"Marines are required to dress professionally as well as look professionally; you're not going to pass as one, if you don't completely look the part." Conan explained as if it was obvious.

"Just so you know, I'm going to kill you, after this is over." Ace glared and took the comb from him. After a few moments, Conan nodded at Ace's disguise, confirming it was good enough. "If Oyaji and the guys see me, they'll never let me this down."

"It's life or pride Ace-san, I recommend choosing wisely." Conan replied plainly, and looked to the ground, trying to think of something he could use to disguise himself, but then he remembered something. People around the naval base had seen him, but very few actually knew he was a prisoner. So statistically speaking, he had a good chance to get to the Fleet Admiral's office without much incident.

"Oi kid!" Ace shook him slightly, snapping Conan out of his thoughts. "Didn't you hear me?"

"What?" Conan blinked, embarrassed that he zoned out.

Ace sighed. "Where to next? We can't stay in this hallway forever."

"To the Fleet Admiral's office." The detective answered evenly.

Ace frowned. "Are you crazy? As you said, we need to get out of here, let's head for a ship!"

"If we sail out now, it'll look suspicious." Conan countered, earning a confused look from Ace. "These people are gearing up for war, which means they're calling back every solidier they have out on the other islands to assist them with this. All naval vessels are coming to dock, not to exit port. It'll look too suspicious, especially if one of the Admirals tries to call us back and we don't respond."

"Then how do we get out of here?" The pirate asked, his frustration being leaked.

"It's as Helmeppo-san said, they're expecting me. However, due to preparation they need to do for the war, no one's going to question Helmeppo's late arrival, nor will they question that another guard has me due to the chaos of their system at the moment. We'll use the ship they've set up for my transport and go from there." The detective explained and started foreword. Turning to Ace, he said, "Come on! I memorized the layout of this place, I know where the Fleet Admiral's office is!"

"This island's huge! How the hell do you expect me to believe you memorized this place in such a short time?" Ace exclaimed but followed the younger boy anyways. Thinking quickly, Ace picked up Conan, earning a surprised yelp, and placed Conan on one of his shoulders. Conan was about to protest, but Ace shut him up. "Your legs are too short, it'll be faster if I just carry you like this. Now which way?" Conan was as embarrassed as hell at the moment, but couldn't argue.

"It's the tall Shinto shrine tower approximately 50 kilos to the left of this building! It's the only building with that design in the area, you can't miss it!" Conan answered.

Adjusting the kid's weight on his shoulder, Ace placed a steadying hand against Conan's body to ensure he wouldn't fall off. "Lead the way, little guy."

10min Later

As much as Ace hated to admit it, Conan's plan was working. They were running through the halls, past marines who thought nothing of it. Ace thought it was strange though. If Conan was a prisoner as well, why was he not in disguise as well? "Left!" Snapping out of his thoughts, Ace turned left down the next hallway, and continued his run. "Right!" Making another turn, Ace was wondering if they were even close to Sengoku's office.

"Hey, kid? How far is the bastard's office from here?" Ace huffed.

"Two lefts and a right down this hallway!" Conan answered.

"Got it!" Ace quickened his pace until he was past all the marines, taking the directions as they came.

The detective frowned as they got closer, it was going to smoothly, but it was too smooth. Perhaps all the Admirals and the few Vice Admirals who knew about him were all out in the field, making preparations. But where was Sengoku? That Garp-person? Coby? Conan was used to winging plans but he usually had the luxury of knowing where everyone was. He was about to adjust his glasses for body-heat signals, but then Ace stopped abruptly. "Ace-san? What's wrong?"

"Got distracted, huh brat?" Grunted a familiar voice. Conan turned slowly to the familiar voice. There was Vice-Admiral Garp staring intently at them in the hallway. The younger boy didn't even have time to reply before being lifted off of Ace's shoulder and being placed behind the teen. "Well, Ace, the uniform looks good on yah; wish you'd put it on for the right reasons, though."

"This wasn't my idea." Ace replied in annoyance, gesturing towards the boy behind him. Conan was inwardly cursing, he should've counted for running into Garp or one of the others. Suddenly, he felt himself being picked up by the collar and being thrown forward. Garp stepped aside, and let Conan crash into the upcoming wall.

"What the hell was that for?" Conan exclaimed rubbing his head.

"You have something to do, don't you?" Ace shot Conan a glare.

"Get going, brat. You're wasting time." Garp shooed him away. Conan stood up and blinked; after a minute, he gave an abrupt bow to both of them and ran off. After seeing the brat run off, Garp turned his attention back to Ace. "I'm not helping a villain; I'm helping a scared little boy get back home. He's not a pirate; he's just a poor soul who got dragged into this mess."

"…Who is that kid, Gramps? Why's he really here?" Ace asked calmly.

Garp sighed. "That isn't you concern, Ace. Just go on and get out of here, you have your chance, now escape."

"You're helping me?" Ace scoffed. "What about me being a villain?"

"I don't see a villain here." Garp replied swiftly. "All I see is a confused marine who doesn't know where his post is. And if he goes down to the docks, there will be a few boats preparing to take off and he'll be assigned properly. He should also cover his face because it looks terrifying."

"Gramps…" The young pirate sighed. "Thanks for the concern, but I'm not leaving without the kid."

"Don't be a fool!" The old marine hissed. "You don't have much time! If the kid's smart enough and has the resources to break you out of a Marineford prison, do you really think he can't break himself out?"

"Maybe. But that doesn't mean I'm leaving him to the sharks like this." Ace clenched his fist and it started to turn red, Garp narrowed his eyes. "Move, Gramps. I need to get that brat and escape before Oyaji and the others show up; Luffy's probably on his way too."

"He obviously has something to do, just be a good soldier and trust your team mate!" Garp clenched his fit and charged at Ace. The pirate dodged and shot a fire ball into his back, though it wasn't as strong as his normal attacks. Garp sighed, when he felt the fire ball dissipate as soon as it touched him. "Listen Ace, to follow that kid, you're gonna have to get through me. And the only way you're gonna win is if you fight seriously." Suddenly, Garp's fist collided with Ace's face and sent the boy flying into the far wall.

Ace growled and wiped blood off his mouth. "Fine then." He heated his fist to flames were bursting. "FIRE FIST!" The pirate knew Garp was down when he didn't bother to dodge it, it was his grandpa's way of saying he approved. With a nod of the head towards his fallen elder, he ran off in the direction Conan had taken.

With Conan

As the confrontation went on, Conan ran the rest of the way towards Sengoku's office. Relief washed over Conan when he discovered it empty. Thinking quickly, Conan readied his bowtie and tried to think back to his research on the Cipher Pole. If he posed as a World government official, it'd be too messy and the figure's authority would be questionable over the Navy. The Admirals were out of the question because they were outside in the midst of the chaos. Deciding that a Cipher Pole would be the best option. Question was, when to broadcast his announcement and how to broadcast it? His head jerked up when he heard voices. Hiding under the desk, he hid himself as best as he could.

"This is a disaster! A complete and utter disaster!" Sengoku slammed the door open, stomping into his office, Akainu and Tsuru following close behind. "Tsuru! How could they have possibly escaped?"

"Perhaps inadequate search? Too much freedom, maybe? I warned you that the boy was extremely inquisitive, and that we hadn't dealt with someone like him before. This was a stupid idea to begin with, and you bringing Fire-Fist Ace here, was too big of a risk." The old woman scolded. "Honestly…are you honestly still going to go through with the broadcast, Sengoku?" Conan's eyes widened at the words.

"We have to!" Akainu exclaimed suddenly. "We have to show the world, justice will ultimately prevail!"

"The only thing we're showing is that the Navy can't keep one pirate in line." She said simply.

"Silence hag!" Akainu barked, causing Tsuru to make a sharp turn to him, effectively turning him into a wet blanket.

"Tsuru!" Sengoku barked. "We don't have time for this!"

"He had it coming." She sighed. "Sit down, Sengoku. Let's discuss for further planning."

Sengoku sighed and obeyed the order. "You're right. Let's calm down and-" Tsuru didn't blink when the Admiral suddenly lost conscious.

Getting out from his hiding place, Conan stood directly in front of the woman. "You knew I was there?"

"This was the most obvious place you'd go." Tsuru replied simply. "You freed Fire-Fist Ace, thus making him your ally because you knew escape would be impossible alone, especially against people with devil fruits. However, you couldn't just leave Mareinford because your family and friends are being used against you. So by setting something up here, you planned to bluff your way out of here using blackmail that the World Government would refuse to negotiate flexibility. You knew that the Black Organization had been using us, but as you suspect, they don't actually have anything over us. They want you alive; you don't need to make some huge speech. Despite what was said, the Black Organization isn't going to make any immediate moves, they need you alive, they need you focused as we do. Don't do anything rash."

"…Are you my ally then?" Conan wasn't sure what to make of this.

"No. As I said to you before, I want what's best for the Navy. Working with terrorists and becoming hypocrites isn't what's best for us. " The old woman explained. "I'm giving you two options: you can escape with Fire-Fist and not make the public announcement using the Fleet Admiral or whatever personnel you planned to impersonate; or make the announcement and have no chance in hell of escaping. The second you say one word against the Navy, I'll bring the entire system down upon your head. Don't underestimate us, boy."

"So essentially, you're willing to offer me complete coverage if I cooperate." Conan confirmed.

Tsuru nodded and looked Conan directly in the eye. "Yes. I'm even willing to provide coverage about yours and Fire-Fist's escape. What do you say boy, do or die?"

It was the weekend and I had nothing to do. Swim meet was Monday, so I couldn't go out partying like usual. It was almost sunset and I've done nothing all day in my dorm except watch YouTube videos and surf reddit.
I was looking through text messages to see who I could hit up. Most of the guys on the swim team were secretly partying. None of the girls I've hooked up with interest me. I was scrolling more and saw Sulbi. I decided to hit her up.
Conan:
Hey, what's up? Wanna go on a walk near the lake and grab late night pizza/icecream?

Shortly after, I get a text.

Yeah sure! I'll meet you by the frat houses?

Conan: Yeah cool! See you in 5.

Nice, I'll finally get to meet the girl. It's been a month since the last time we texted. She never reached out to me and my grandma has still been bothering me about meeting her. If anything, I'll just meet a new friend I guess.
I put on my Bates Swim team hoodie, blue baseball cap, and joggers. The frat houses are like a minute by foot, so I take my time and walk out the door. I'm walking toward the parking lot and I see a short girl with short black hair, noticable brown eyes (most Asian girls have dark, near black eyes), and a checkered/gingham dress.
"Hey. I'm Conan, are you Sulbi or Sherry?"
"Hi Conan... Yeah.. You can call me whichever. I don't have a preference," she says shyly.
"Okay, I guess I'll call you Sulbi. I like Korean names. I never got one," I say back. We walk off campus toward the Lake Gotsbi nearby. We talk about school, our family, our Korean culture, and hobbies. She likes to read and write. She's also pretty sweet. She looks at me intently when I talk. You can tell she's really listening even though I don't have much to say or at least not anything important. Then we talk about relationships..
"So... Conan. Have you dated anyone?" Sulbi asks.
"Nah. I get that question a lot from my family and friends. I don't understand why they can't leave me alone about it sometimes... Like can't I enjoy being single?" I say.
"Yeah, I get you. My family, especially my grandparents, ask the same thing. They think just because I'm a petite Asian girl with white skin, I should be attracting a lot of guys. But hey, we're not in Korea anymore and guys here don't like girls like that," she says.
I look at her and think she's pretty though. Her pale skin in contrast with her pink cheeks. Small eyes but glowing due to their golden brown undertone. She dresses well too. Cute.
"Yeah, I mean we have a lot of time. We're only 19," I say.
We watch as the red in the sky disappears into the blue, grey landscape. A duck flutters it's wings and flies off the lake. It's nice. Walking and talking and not talking. I feel comfortable in the silence.
"You hungry at all? We can grab pizza or icecream if you want," I ask.
"I'm not really hungry for pizza or icecream to be honest... do you want to come to my dorm and eat 'Go-re-bap?'" Sulbi asks.
"Oh hell yeah. I love Gorebap. They were my favorite snack in my childhood. I haven't had them in forever because I've become so white haha." I smile at her.

We head to her dorm and we arrive at the all girls dorm, Trez. She unlocks her door with her key and opens it. Her room is filled with artwork. Probably hers. Lots of pastel paintings, flowers, and abstract art.
"Cool artwork. Did you make all of these?" I ask.
"Yeah I did... I'm kind of a hoarder, so most of the paintings are from middle school and high school," she says while leading me to her desk and bed. "You can sit on the bed if you want. It's more comfortable than the chair."
I hop on the bed and adore her artwork. I like the one that's hanging above her head. It has a pastel purple outline on it with white, black, and dark purple flowers. It speaks to me for some reason. The flower are just lonely. The color combo is also interesting.
"What was your motivation behind choosing the colors for this painting?" I ask.
"Oh uhm... They're the colors for the asexual flag in the LGBTQ+ community," she says looking up at me.
